There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
The Modern Church Exposed: Paul Washer’s Top Ten Indictments Part 2 | WRETCHED TV Episode 2381
In this continuation of Paul Washer’s critique of the modern church, Todd Friel addresses the church’s shallow understanding of the Gospel and critical issues like discipline and separation. Discover the need for genuine spiritual depth, effective practices, and renewed evangelism.
Indictment #6: Critiques the church’s misunderstanding of its nature and the infiltration of worldliness, emphasizing the need for the church to remain distinct from secular behaviors and issues.
Indictment #7: Highlights the need for loving and compassionate church discipline, contrasting with the observed lack of discipline in many churches.
Indictment #8: Discusses the need for separation from worldly influences, stressing that true Christians should stand apart from secular practices and face trials with a distinct faith.
Indictment #9: Criticizes ineffective parenting practices, particularly behavioral modification and sleep training, suggesting these are misaligned with biblical principles.
Indictment #10: Points to the neglect of evangelism in churches, urging a stronger commitment to preaching the Gospel and reaching out to the lost.
Job 31:1 — Job outlines the disciplines of a godly man. While we may want to dismiss it as just the posturing of a hurting individual, we must remember that this is the testimony of one who is perfect and upright, fearing God and eschewing evil. He’s worth imitating in my humble opinion.
Personal Purity —
Guarding the eyes (Job 31:1)
Guarding the heart (Job 31:9)
Guarding the feet (Job 31:9)
Relational Responsibility —
Relationship with employees (Job 31:13)
Relationship with the poor (Job 31:16)
Relationship with the widows (Job 31:16)
Relationship with the fatherless (Job 31:17)
Relationship with the wanters-of-clothing (Job 31:19)
Relationship with enemies (Job 31:29-30)
Relationship with strangers (Job 31:32)
Spiritual Fidelity —
Trusting not in wealth (Job 31:24-25)
Following no other gods (Job 31:26-28)
Hiding not sin from God (Job 31:33)
Job 31:15 — Slavery and abortion are both addressed with one verse. God made both master and slave (or employer and employee) – so how can one of God’s creation mistreat another of God’s creation?
Job 31:26 — Is Job saying we can’t enjoy a sunrise? No. Job is addressing those who worship the sun (Ezekiel 8:16).
Job 32:1 — The Great Debate is over … but not yet. Elihu enters the ring taking on all four debaters (Job 32:2-3)!
Job 32:19 — Many a talkative man has felt like Elihu, but unfortunately few have the wisdom of Elihu.
Job 33:8 — Having begged for the right to be heard, Elihu now seeks to confirm that he heard Job right. He will then go to the cross-examination of Job.
Job 33:12 — Job is not just, not because he has sinned and is being punished, but because he is becoming bitter against God. But God is greater than man and does not need to give account of Himself (Job 33:13)!
There is always a reason for every act of grace which God performs for man. He acts sovereignly, and therefore he is not bound to give any reason for his actions; but he always acts wisely, and therefore he has a reason for so acting. Writing to the Ephesians, the apostle Paul says that God “worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.”
Job 33:23-24 — The preacher steps forth, not spouting the conventional wisdom, but as one of a thousand. He is charged with a command from the gracious Lord, “Deliver the sinner from the pit – there is a ransom!” Like the ram in the thicket that was to be offered in the place of Isaac (Genesis 22:13), God has provided a ransom!
This is the only reason why any man shall be delivered from going clown to the pit, because God has found a ransom, There is no way of salvation but by the ransom; all who ever are saved are saved by the ransom; and if you, dear friend, would be saved, it must be by the ransom; and there is but one.
Observe that the text says, “I have found a ransom.” This ransom is an invention of divine wisdom. I do not think it would ever have occurred to any mind but the mind of God himself to save sinners by the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ. The most astonishing novelty under heaven is the old, old story of the cross of Christ. That ever God should take upon himself the sin of his own creatures, that, in order to be able justly to forgive, God himself should bear the punishment which he must inflict for the creatures’ sin, this is something marvelous to the last degree. The rebel sins, and the King himself suffers the penalty for the rebellion. The offender commits the trespass, and the Judge bears the punishment. Such a plan was never heard of in human courts of law; or if it has ever been spoken of there, it was because, first of all, both the ears of him who heard it had been made to tingle while God revealed it out of his own heart. “I have found a ransom.” Nobody would have thought of that way of the deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it.
Job 33:25 — Salvation transforms the life of a person about to perish (Job 33:18). Job is no longer in pain (Job 33:19), unable to enjoy life (Job 33:20), wasting away (Job 33:21), drawing near the grave (Job 33:22). Now his flesh is fresher than a child’s (Job 33:25) which sounds a lot like Naaman (2 Kings 5:14)! God’s favor is upon him (Job 33:26), and He has given man His righteousness! (Job 33:26).
Job 33:27 — The three friends thought Job wasn’t trying hard enough to be righteous. Job thought he had been trying hard enough to be righteous. Elihu thinks Job has forgotten how a person becomes righteous.
Job is being reminded of his conversion. Why was Job righteous in the sight of the LORD? Not because he was perfect, but because he admitted he was a sinner. God delivered Job (Job 33:28) because he trusted the Ransom (Job 33:24).
2 Corinthians 3:1 — Like Elihu, Paul begs for a hearing from his audience. But unlike Elihu, Paul is not the younger man here.
2 Corinthians 3:6 — What is the New Testament? The declaration of the ransom! Isn’t it glorious (2 Corinthians 3:8)!
2 Corinthians 3:14 — Yes, it is sad that our dear Jewish friends can read the Old Testament (this is the only place in the Bible where this phrase occurs) and not see Jesus. It is amazing that we can see Jesus even in Job!
2 Corinthians 3:18 — Speaking of glory, we are being changed into the glory of the LORD by His Spirit!
Psalm 43:3 — May we be led by His truth and light unto His Holy Hill!
Proverbs 22:9 — God blesses those who give to the poor. Note that he didn’t give his stale bread to the poor. Today we often believe, “Give of your worst to the Master.” Reminds me of a song by Patch the Pirate – Any Ol’ Thing!

For the elect’s sake those days be shortened. (Matthew 24:22)
For the sake of His elect the Lord withholds many judgments and shortens others. In great tribulations the fire would devour all were it not that out of regard to His elect the Lord damps the flame. Thus, while He saves His elect for the sake of Jesus, He also preserves the race for the sake of His chosen.
What an honor is thus put upon saints! How diligently they ought to use their influence with their Lord! He will hear their prayers for sinners and bless their efforts for their salvation. He blesses believers that they may be a blessing to those who are in unbelief. Many a sinner lives because of the prayers of a mother, or wife, or daughter to whom the Lord has respect.
Have we used aright the singular power with which the Lord entrusts us? Do we pray for our country, for other lands, and for the age? Do we, in times of war, famine, pestilence, stand out as intercessors, pleading that the days may be shortened? Do we lament before God the outbursts of infidelity, error, and licentiousness? Do we beseech our Lord Jesus to shorten the reign of sin by hastening His own glorious appearing? Let us get to our knees and never rest till Christ appeareth.
Walz faced another accusation of misrepresentation in unearthed, blistering letter: ‘Remove any reference’ Tim Walz is facing another accusation of misrepresenting his background after a Nebraska Chamber of Commerce letter from 2006 resurfaced amid Walz’s campaign for vice president. When Walz first ran for Congress in Minnesota, he touted on his campaign website that he received an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce in 1993 for his work with the business community … He never received such an award
IDF: 90% of Hezbollah rocket launches were from civilian area IDF states about 230 launches and 20 aerial targets were identified crossing into Israeli territory on Sunday morning when Israel launched its pre-emptive strike, 90% of which were launched from ‘heart of a civilian area.’
Analyst: ‘Nasrallah is exhausted’ “He managed to get everyone here to suffer two or three weeks of panic, and in the end he did something that didn’t make Israel change its approach to the equation, that’s the story. Did we change the equation in the north? No, we didn’t change the equation. So we are still playing according to Nasrallah’s flute and according to [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar’s flute – so they are the ones who are deciding what happens. There is a golden opportunity here which was missed, for Israel to set a new reality in southern Lebanon.”
Israel continues hunt for Sinwar; intelligence indicates he is hiding among population dressed as woman Recent Israeli intelligence reports indicate that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has fled the terror tunnels beneath Gaza and is hiding among the Palestinian population “dressed as a woman.” On Sunday evening, Brig.-Gen. Dan Goldfus, the retiring commander of the IDF’s 98th Division during its Gaza War operations told British news site Daily Express that Israeli troops came within minutes of catching Sinwar about 10 days ago.
The Israeli imperative to destroy myths, not just missiles Israel’s preemptive strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon during the wee hours of Sunday morning temporarily shifted focus away from Hamas in Gaza and from the next round of bogus “ceasefire” negotiations in Cairo for the release of hostages.
WATCH: Nasrallah’s message to ‘Queers for Palestine’ Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah sent a very clear message to the gay community, calling it a ‘crime’ and that there is no cleansing of it, and that the penalty for committing it is death.
Nasrallah’s ‘Downfall’ moment is rhetoric vs reality – comment In the fantastic Oscar-winning movie Downfall, which depicts Adolf Hitler’s last few days in his Berlin bunker … This scene was brought to mind recently when listening to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah describe the terror group’s attack on Israel “as planned,” refuting the Israeli military’s assertions that their pre-emptive strikes had prevented a more extensive attack. If a major military attack is severely depleted due to the enemy striking first, one would be far-stretched to state that it went “as planned.”
The Truth About Israel’s Operation in Lebanon — and What Comes Next Hezbollah’s attack, which was reportedly intended to launch at 5:00 AM, included thousands of rockets, missiles and drones: among them several dozen long range guided missiles aimed at the “Gush Dan” area of central Israel, which includes Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport.
Italian party publishes blacklist of Jews, Israel supporters The New Communist Party of Italy recently published a list of Italian Jews, among them well-known figures in politics, media and business, labeling them “Zionist agents” to be “condemned and fought” for supporting Israel. ‘ISA released Shifaa director to hide the truth’ Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb of the Likud harshly criticized the ISA director Ronen Bar and supported Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, who published advertisements against him. “the head of the ISA released the arch-terrorist, the director of the Shifaa Hospital – because he knows things that are related to the seventh of October, and Ronen Bar does not want us to know.”

Harris and Walz Call Them ‘Values’ – We Call Them the ‘Doctrines of Devils’ Five Big Lies at the DNC Convention. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron” (1Tim 4:1-2) If Kamala should pull off a win in November, it will be the first time in history someone was elected on feelings, instead of their record.

ON THIS DAY in 1776, the British army soundly defeated George Washington’s Patriots in the Battle of Long Island. Total disaster was only narrowly avoided, thanks to what Washington would call Providence. Wind, rain, and fog kept the British from discovering the American retreat until it was too late.

Former Dem Tulsi Gabbard endorses Trump: “She put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.” So said former Democrat congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard of Kamala Harris in a devastating debate-stage takedown nearly five years ago. Harris likely sees Gabbard in her sleep, and she may soon see her on the campaign trail as well, as Gabbard yesterday announced her endorsement of Donald Trump for president during an appearance with Trump at a National Guard conference in Detroit. “If you love our country, as I do,” said Gabbard, who left the Democrat Party nearly two years ago, “if you cherish peace and freedom, as we do, I invite you to join me in doing all that we can to save our country and elect President Donald J. Trump and send him back to the White House to do the tough work of saving our country and serving the people.” Trump, she said, “understands the grave responsibility that a president and commander-in-chief bears for every single one of our lives, whether you’re a soldier, you’re an airman, a Marine, sailor, or a Coastie.”

Yet another Walz lie: Democrat VP nominee Tim Walz has a pattern of lying, including additional fabricated claims from his 2006 campaign profile. Much as his stolen valor claims falsely declaring he was an Enduring Freedom Veteran and a retired Command Sergeant Major, his congressional campaign bio noted he “earned the title of Nebraska Citizen-Soldier of the Year.” Actually, he was among many other Guard and Reserve members who were invited to a lunch to honor their service — not the recipient of the “Nebraska Citizen-Soldier of the Year” as implied. His campaign profile also noted, “Harvard University offered Walz an opportunity to gain a new perspective on global education by teaching in the People’s Republic of China.” The now-defunct WorldTeach program was not operated by Harvard University as Walz implied, and references to it have been omitted from his current bio. Other than that, his stories are accurate.
Tarantino warns Harris against interviews: Acclaimed movie director Quentin Tarantino might not know a darn thing about Kamala Harris, but that’s good enough for him. After all, he told Bill Maher, “Sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning!” Tarantino thus embodies the Left’s win-at-all-costs approach to politics, stressing that he’d vote for Harris “no matter what she says in any interview” and launching into a rant about how Harris doesn’t need to “cave to pressure.” The semi-coherent Tarantino added: “And Trump’s not the president, and we’re the f***ing president, and now it’s gonna be about this. But this is gonna be about f***ing winning! What most people don’t give the Democrats enough credit for, all right, but we give the Republicans credit for it, sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning, and it doesn’t matter how we look!” Maher had been trying to make the case that Harris should actually, you know, sit for an interview like every other candidate for the presidency has. But to little avail. And as of now, Nominee Harris has been dodging the press for 37 days and counting.

Harris has hauled in $540 million since the bloodless coup: It’s hard to blame Kamala Harris for running scared from the media because it sure seems to be working. After a joy-filled week of genuflecting toward Harris at the Democratic National Convention, the media has continued to mind its own business while the Harris campaign has raked in an enormous amount of cash. Team Kamala says it has raised $540 million since she launched her campaign just over a month ago when Joe Biden ended his reelection bid. As the Washington Examiner reports, “Harris campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon said in the memo that just before Harris’s Thursday DNC speech was their largest single hour in funds raised this cycle for their campaign.” As the Examiner adds, “Prior to Biden’s decision to drop out on July 21, fundraising had dried up for Democrats as the president bled support in the polls to former President Donald Trump.” What a difference a candidate makes. Now, if she’d only deign to sit for an interview.
Even Democrats denounce Harris’s price controls: Like a bunch of dutiful schlubs behind a circus elephant, congressional Democrats are cleaning up after Kamala Harris’s recent price controls “accident.” As Politico reports: “Under pressure to defend Kamala Harris’ grocery price gouging plan, some Democratic lawmakers are delivering a quiet message to anxious allies: Don’t worry about the details. It’s never going to pass Congress.” It’d be one thing if only Republicans panned Harris’s cockamamie scheme, but Democrats themselves are running away from it, too. “It’s clear to me these are very general, very lofty goals,” said one anonymous Democrat. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who herself has designs on the 2028 presidential race, gently told NBC News’s “Meet the Press” that Harris’s price-fixing proposal was merely an effort to speak in “broad strokes.” Elsewhere, former Obama economic adviser Jason Furman told the Financial Times, “I think the biggest hope is it ends up being a lot of rhetoric and not reality. There’s no upside here, and there is some downside.” Furman is right. But Harris said it, and now she has to live with it.

Big Tech
Zuckerberg admits censoring Americans: On Monday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg sent a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) admitting what many, including we at The Patriot Post, have long contended — his company engaged in the censorship of users’ speech at the behest of the Biden administration. In the letter, Zuckerberg writes, “In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree.” Yet he asserts, “Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure.” He adds that he believes “the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it.” He ends by stating that his “goal is to be neutral and not play a role one way or another” and that he doesn’t “plan on making a similar contribution this cycle.” Well, as the saying goes, actions speak louder than words, and thus far, there is little to indicate that anything has really changed with the tech giant.
California and Big Tech colluding to control journalism: Last year, the California State House passed the California Journalism Preservation Act, a law that would require search engines and social media platforms to pay a share of their ad revenue to news organizations for any of their content that showed up on search results or platforms. Unsurprisingly, tech giants Google and Meta balked at the new law, warning that they would prevent news organizations’ content from showing up on their sites rather than share ad revenue with them. This week, a compromise was reached in which California taxpayers will shell out $70 million, and Google will provide an additional $172.5 million for newsrooms in the state. Roughly 12% of this money will go to “underserved” and “local” newsrooms. A seven-person governing board out of UC Berkeley’s School of Journalism will run the program, evidently deciding where the money goes.

Lowe’s backs off DEI: In another win for American values, Lowe’s has announced that the homebuilding supply company is ending its investment in woke initiatives like DEI and funding of or participation in “Pride” events. According to a company memo, “Like many other companies, in July 2023 after the Supreme Court’s decision in the Harvard/UNC cases, we began reviewing our diversity and inclusion programs to ensure that they are lawful and aligned with our commitment to include everyone in the incredible opportunities at Lowe’s and ensure that no one is excluded.” Anti-woke activist Robby Starbuck celebrated the news, stating in a post on X that after he reached out to Lowe’s, warning the company that he was about to expose it for its woke policies, Lowe’s quickly responded by changing course. “We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose,” Starbuck stated. “We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America.”

Climate & Economy
Terrifying kids into the climate cult: The Biden/Harris administration is pushing climate alarmism on kids. NASA has a “Climate Kids” webpage featuring various educational activities, videos, and games for kindergarten-aged children, but it’s interspersed with dire warnings of cataclysmic climate change caused by fossil fuels, which allegedly cause sea levels to rise and global ice coverage to melt, potentially dooming their future. The site states that the use of fossil fuels is causing “pollution, the destruction of landscapes and natural habitats, oil spills in the ocean, and nasty fracking chemicals in the ground,” as well as the “biggest problem of all” — global warming. Furthermore, the only “solution” offered is a life-altering change of course: “A turn away from fossil fuels. We will move toward sustainable, green energy.” With misinformation propaganda like this promulgated by federal government agencies, is it any wonder that nearly half of Americans aged 18 to 29 believe that fossil fuel use should be entirely phased out from the U.S.? This is not science; it’s climate cultism.

The Abbey Gate suicide bomber, by the way, had just been released from a prison Biden ordered abandoned by American forces.
The first thing Biden did in retribution for those 13 dead Americans was to order a drone strike that killed 10 innocent civilians. The next thing was to refuse to fire anyone in his administration for the debacle. No one has resigned, either. Instead, Biden blamed Donald Trump for the plan to leave Afghanistan. Incredibly, Biden wanted us to believe that, for the first and only time, he was bound by something Trump had set in motion.
It was a brazen lie. Such a humiliating defeat for America never would have happened on Trump’s watch. American weakness led to other aggression in the world, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Hamas’s attack on Israel, as well as opening the door for China to invade Taiwan. And it left Afghanistan to the America-hating Taliban and the nation’s women to the truly oppressive patriarchy of radical Islamists.
At the time, Kamala Harris bragged that she was the “last person in the room” with Biden as he made his catastrophic decision. She added, “This is a president who has an extraordinary amount of courage.” Political cynicism is not courage.
Now the beneficiary of the coup to prevent her boss from running again, Harris could only be bothered to issue a statement marking the anniversary. “Today and everyday [sic], I mourn and honor them,” she said. But regrets? She has none. “As I have said, President Biden made the courageous and right decision to end America’s longest war.”
Kind of like he made the courageous decision to leave for vacation after his angry and bitter tirade on the first night of last week’s Democratic National Convention. Instead of marking Monday’s anniversary, he left for another vacation on the beach in Delaware.
Both Biden and Harris serve as a continuing contrast with Trump, who marked the occasion by attending a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery along with family members of the 13 slain Americans. He was joined by former Marines Tyler Vargas-Andrews and Kelsee Lainhart, both of whom were among the dozens wounded by the blast. Vargas-Andrews lost a leg and part of an arm; Lainhart is paralyzed from the waist down.
Family members also participated in a press call with JD Vance, Trump’s running mate and a former Marine. “Nobody expects perfection from our government, but we do expect accountability,” Vance said. “The fact that Kamala Harris can’t even bring herself today to offer any real answer for what happened or for what she’s going to do over the next six months to get to the bottom of what happened is, I think, insulting to the families who gave their loved ones in service of this country.”
Family members didn’t hold back. “There’s never even been condolences [from Biden or Harris]. They just want to pretend it didn’t happen,” said Cheryl Juels, whose niece, 23-year-old Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee, was among those killed. “They want to take credit for ending the war, but they don’t want to take any responsibility for the way it all went down.” She added that Biden and Harris have “never once reached out to any of our family.” Other family members have given the same account over the years. Instead, she said, “The only person who has reached out to our family over and over again — and all 13 families — is Trump.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump hammered Biden and Harris for their gross failure. “Three years ago, Kamala and Biden’s incompetence left 13 dead warriors, hundreds of civilians killed and grievously wounded, and $85 billion worth of the finest military equipment on the planet abandoned to the Taliban.”
Indeed, the Taliban held a military parade recently, complete with our equipment. Few things could serve as such an effective monument to the colossal failures of the Biden/Harris administration.

“Of all the repellent Kennedy spectacles of the past 60 years, today’s spectacle of Kennedys disavowing other Kennedys for not being good Kennedys is really the kind of false aristocratic creepiness that makes me want to, you know, drive off a bridge.” —John Podhoretz

81-year-old Joe Biden has pretty much checked out since he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race on July 21 after Obama-Pelosi-Kamala forced him off the ballot in a coup.
Joe Biden and his family on Sunday returned to Delaware after a weeklong vacation in Santa Barbara, California.
Biden arrived to Vandenberg Space Force Base and then boarded Air Force One en route to his Rehoboth Beach house in Delaware.
Reporters shouted questions about the Israel-Hamas ceasefire talks as Biden shuffled over to Air Force One.

Joe Biden is spending another NINE DAYS on vacation at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware house.
Biden has spent more than 40% of his presidency on vacation with no visitor logs.
American taxpayers are spending millions of dollars on planes, helicopters, motorcades and Secret Service to ferry Biden’s family of parasites all over the country on endless vacations.
Marine One costs approximately $20,000 per hour and Air Force One costs $177,843 per hour, according to Department of Defense documents. Biden’s frequent trips and vacations to Delaware have cost US taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.
Now for another NINE-day vacation in Delaware. Taxpayers are spending millions of dollars on planes and helicopters and motorcades and Secret Service to ferry POTUS Biden and his family all over the country on this endless vacation. Do none of them have a job? https://t.co/vwJzc6k6f8

Have you noticed an unusual number of vehicles in the parking lots of major retailers in your area at night? If you look closely enough, you will see that many of those vehicles actually have people sleeping in them. At this point, millions of Americans are sleeping in their vehicles every night. This is happening even though we are being told that the economy is just fine. But of course the truth is that the system is failing all around us. So if you get to sleep in a very warm bed in a very warm home, you should consider yourself to be very blessed, because vast numbers of people are really struggling right now.
The primary reason why so many people are living in their vehicles is because the cost of living has soared to unprecedented heights.
In particular, the cost of housing has become extremely oppressive. In fact, housing in the United States has become more unaffordable than it has ever been before.
This week, I was stunned to read about a 33-year-old man named Ishan Abeysekera that is paying $2,100 a month to share a house with 23 other people…
In a city as notoriously expensive as New York, it’s common to see people in their late 20s and early 30s living with roommates to help manage the high cost of living.
But Ishan Abeysekera has taken that to the next level with his current living situation in Brooklyn: a communal building that he shares with a whopping 23 other people.
“When I say I have 23 housemates, people are like ‘What? That sounds wild,’” Abeysekera tells CNBC Make It. “But actually, it’s quite nice.”
That is nuts!
Who would pay that much to live with 23 total strangers?
Of course most Americans can’t afford to pay $2,100 a month for housing.
For example, it is being reported that some flight attendants that work for American Airlines are “sleeping in their cars” because the pay is so low…
Most new flight attendant hires are required to live in cities like Dallas, Miami, and New York, which have high costs of living that they cannot afford, Hedrick noted.
American flight attendants are sleeping in their cars, she said. Some of them fight for trips just for the chance to eat the plane meals, if the pilots don’t take their meals first.
“Our new hire flight attendants are struggling,” Hedrick said, adding that new hires most strongly rejected the 17% hike.
When I was growing up, I always thought that those that were selected as flight attendants had very good jobs.
But those days are long gone.
In this economy, many flight attendants can’t even afford a place to live.
Of course there are millions of others in a similar position. In recent years, “van life” has become quite trendy, and more than 3 million Americans now fall into this category…
“Van life” or “van living” is a term that is becoming more popular around the country. People packing up their lives, moving into a mobile unit and exploring the states.
According to Yahoo Finance, the number of American van lifers has increased by 63% over the last couple of years, going from 1.9 million in 2020, to 3.1 million in 2022.
In the old days, if you lived in a van down by the river you were considered to be a bum.
But in this economy, living in a van down by the river is just considered to be normal.
Needless to say, there are some “van lifers” that choose the lifestyle because of the freedom it offers.
But there are many others that have been forced into this lifestyle. A woman named Michelle Rose that used to own a home in Montana is one of them…
Three and a half years ago, at the beginning of the pandemic, Michelle Rose was about to lose her Montana home, was having issues with her job, lost her mother, and put everything she owned into a van to live in it permanently.
“I was like let’s just do this, let’s just sell the house and get on the road and we will figure out things as we go. It has sort of been a by the seat of my pants kind of life,” said Rose.
Michelle says that finances are the hardest part of van life for her, it is a constant worry and finding work is also challenging.
Katie J., who works as a manifestation coach and at a local coffee shop, spoke about the mental legwork she had to work through in order to reach a sense of belonging in the community.
“Van life is fun and cool and saves money and it’s flashy on Instagram and stuff,” Katie J. said, “but it will bring up a lot for you to work through when it comes to not having roots somewhere … I’m a black woman and I’m already rare in Truckee as is, so to be also living in a van, I had so much stuff around that, so much shadow work to do around the limiting beliefs and feeling like I’m not supposed to be here, and I shouldn’t be parking here and I’m gonna get in trouble.”
A lot of these people have jobs, and a lot of these people would not be officially classified as “homeless”.
But the cost of living crisis has driven them to the brink of losing everything.
Unfortunately, our leaders never seem to learn. They keep borrowing and spending money at an unprecedented rate, and this continues to create even more inflation.
The State Department is offering up to a quarter million taxpayer dollars to an eligible nonprofit to teach Iraqi teenagers about climate activism.
Iraqi high schoolers could receive “Eco Action Clubs” bankrolled by taxpayers that will teach them how to advocate for environmental reform in their home country, according to a grant solicitation posted by the State Department earlier this month. The clubs will have several objectives, ranging from developing an “eco-agenda and action plan” which will generate “climate change solutions” to running a social media campaign to increase awareness of the climate crisis.
We are literally committing national suicide, but most of the population doesn’t seem to care.
Every election cycle, the big spenders are sent back to Washington over and over again.
Meanwhile, more Americans are being forced to sleep in their vehicles with each passing day.
Please do not look down on those that have been forced to sleep in a vehicle, because with a bit of bad luck just about anyone could end up in the same situation.
Much has been made about Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz seemingly playing fast and loose with the truth, but you likely haven’t even heard about some of the more bizarre things he has lied about.
The Babylon Bee has compiled the following list of completely unnecessary lies told by Tim Walz:
Said he has a super-hot girlfriend but she’s in Oklahoma doing some modeling right now: Doesn’t everyone?
Claimed he saved Aeris in Final Fantasy VII: Try to come up with something that’s at least somewhat plausible, Tim.
Insisted he once assembled a bed from IKEA in less than four days: This has never been done by any human being.
His last name was originally spelled “Waltz”: He misspelled it one time and rather than look dumb, he just went with it.
Claimed his uncle worked at Nintendo and got him free games all the time: Sure thing, Tim. Sure thing.
Claimed to be the author of Hebrews: Whatever. Everyone knows the author of Hebrews was actually… uhm… moving on!
Said he’s from a state called Minnesota: Nice try, Tim. Stop making up states that don’t exist.
Claimed every dog is born with the name “Scout”: He said it’s a scientific fact, people, so just mind your own dang business.
He claims to be a man and not just a giant toad in a man suit: Everyone’s seen you. Stop wasting your time.
Why lie about any of the things listed above when everyone knows he’s clearly not being honest? Just what else might he be lying about?
