Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. 2 The formula I know (yāḏaʿṯî) typically heads a supplicant’s answer to an oracle given in response to his prayer or lament (e.g., Ps. 20:7 [Eng. 6]; 41:12 [Eng. 11 ]; 56:10 [Eng. 9]). Confessing that God can do all things, Job accepts Yahweh’s argument as the answer to his complaint and his avowal of innocence.
Throughout his speeches Job has held firmly to his conviction that God is all-powerful. In his lamenting, however, he has questioned God’s consistent execution of justice in the face of numerous examples that seem to contradict the standard of justice. Nevertheless, Yahweh’s words have reaffirmed Job’s conviction of his wise and judicious governance of the world. With an enhanced awareness of Yahweh’s lordship, Job concedes that no purpose (məzimmâ, i.e., “detailed plans”) of Yahweh’s can be foiled or thwarted (bāṣar). Job’s concession means that he believes that everything occurring on earth takes place within the framework of the divine wisdom. No hostile force, be it earthly ór heavenly, prevents God from carrying out his purpose.1
42:2 / I know that you can do all things. This is not a departure from Job’s previous attitude. Job has assumed all along that God is capable of acting to end his undeserved suffering (and injustice in general!). It is the fact that the Almighty allows a righteous man to suffer without public acknowledgment of his righteousness that exercises Job. So this is a reaffirmation of faith in God’s sovereign power. Job acknowledges that God has a plan that he actively pursues. The world is not a place of happenstance or willy-nilly chance. Humans may not understand God’s purposes, but that does not mean he does not have any. God remains sovereign and cannot be thwarted. But this statement is so much more than an admission of defeat and failure to sway God. The true implication of these words is that the suffering that Job has experienced must fall within the divine purposes of God. Of course, we already know the purpose that lies behind Job’s innocent suffering. It has been a test in response to the Satan’s question regarding the willingness of any human to fear God without profit. We are about to learn—as Job himself must already have learned—that it is indeed possible to do just that. Job (and other humans) can continue to fear God for no profit, even when the profit is no more than public recognition of the righteous character of the one who suffers.2
42:2I know that you can do all things. In verses 2–3, Job five times uses terms that refer to knowledge, plans, and understanding. This language evidences that Job has come to an enlarged recognition of the wisdom and power of Yahweh as he has contemplated the questions Yahweh posed to him in chapters 38–41. Job now knows in a better way how much more Yahweh understands than he does. Job realizes that his adversity must fall within the purpose of Yahweh, which cannot be thwarted by any force (cf. Dan. 4:35). Yahweh sovereignly directs history to his own ends, which may well be inscrutable to humans (Prov. 16:9; 20:24; 21:1).3
Job agrees with the Lord about himself (42:2).
42:2
I know that you can do all things,
and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
He uses the term ‘I know’, which recalls his joyful confession recorded in 19:25–27. It is not sullen capitulation but glad submission. Job gave up in his first reply; he gives in with these words and he glorifies God. Just as he had said to his wife that they should receive evil as well as good from the Lord’s hand, so now that is in effect what he is doing. He acknowledges the Lord’s power and purpose towards him in all his dealings, his sufferings included. With a mind renewed, he is finding that God’s will is ‘good and acceptable and perfect’ (see Rom. 12:2).4

Isaiah 25:1 — Isaiah is a unique book. We move from visions of heaven to visions of destruction. Today we have a psalm-like chapter!
Isaiah 25:4 — We see that the defensed cities are ruins (Isaiah 25:2), but the needy are defended by the omnipotent LORD. This is a running theme we’ve noticed throughout the Old Testament.
Isaiah 25:8 — We just read this verse quoted in 1 Corinthians 15:54, and we’ll see the second part of this verse quoted in Revelation 7:17 and Revelation 21:4. As we go through Isaiah, we’ll notice the connections between Old Testament and New Testament prophecy. In the Church Age we tend to think that all of our familiar prophecies were first found in John’s Revelation, but he was given revelation by the same God that revealed His plans to Isaiah. What’s amazing is that in Israel we have a scroll where a scribe records this promise of the resurrection and eternal comfort 125 years before the birth of Jesus! For your friends who think the Old Testament God is a god of wrath and that love doesn’t come until the New Testament, this promise came in the BC/OT part of history: “… the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces …” What a day that will be!
Isaiah 26:7 — I Googled “uprightness”, and the definition and example is interesting …
Isaiah 27:1 — Who is the dragon of the sea? Cambridge Bible says Egypt:
Assuming that they are distinct the “Dragon that is in the sea” is almost certainly an emblem of Egypt (ch. Isaiah 51:9; Ezekiel 29:3; Ezekiel 32:2; Psalm 74:13).
Isaiah 28:13 — This is the verse that gives Precept Ministries (Kay Arthur) its name.
Galatians 3:10 — Paul outlines the failure of works. The curse of Deuteronomy 27:26 was part of the responsive reading of curses on Mount Ebal. One failure to obey brings a curse. But One has redeemed us from the curse (Galatians 3:13)!
Galatians 3:17 — Paul is saying, “You’re following works because that’s an old tradition, but I have one that’s even older (by 430 years)! My God doesn’t back out of any promises that He’s made.” If God made a promise to Abraham, I’m claiming that promise today!
Galatians 3:22 — What is the purpose of the Law? Not to give life (otherwise God would not have had to sacrifice His Son). It was to show that we need life from someone else! The Law came to point us back to the Promise given to Abraham! Who was that Promise? Jesus (Galatians 3:16)!
Psalm 61:4 — Under His wings, I am safely abiding. Though the night deepens and the tempests are wild, Still I can trust Him – I know He will keep me. He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

What a wide promise! Anything! Whether large or small, all my needs are covered by that word anything. Come, my soul, be free at the mercy seat, and hear thy Lord saying to thee, “Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.”
What a wise promise! We are always to ask in the name of Jesus. While this encourages us, it also honors Him. This is a constant plea. Occasionally every other plea is darkened, especially such as we could draw from our own relation to God or our experience of His grace; but at such times the name of Jesus is as mighty at the throne as ever, and we may plead it with full assurance.
What an instructive prayer! I may not ask for anything to which I cannot put Christ’s hand and seal. I dare not use my Lord’s name to a selfish or willful petition. I may only use my Lord’s name to prayers which He would Himself pray if He were in my case. It is a high privilege to be authorized to ask in the name of Jesus as if Jesus Himself asked; but our love to Him will never allow us to set that name where He would not have set it.
Am I asking for that which Jesus approves? Dare I put His seal to my prayer? Then I have that which I seek of the Father.

On Sept. 2, 2024, John Bellam posted an excellent article on his website called “Bible Prophecy Information.”
He is just a small sample of what Bellam said:

Something could be felt, but no one was sure what it was because the conditions in the atmosphere did not indicate rain was imminent. Bellam’s article is long, but it is loaded with useful information.
Here are some reports that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near.
One, concerning the possibility of the Rapture occurring at the sound of the Great Blast (last trump) on a future Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) I Cor. 15:51-52; I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 4:1-2): I have been asked when is the Feast of Trumpets in 2024?
We do not know that the Rapture will happen in 2024, but we do know that the Jews will blow the trumpet 100 times on Oct. 3-4, 2024, and the Great Blast (100th trump; last trump) will be on October 4 at 6:19 pm in Israel (10:19 am Central Time in the U.S.).
Two, concerning world government: in early Sept. 2024, it was reported that an undercover journalist secretly recorded a UN official (from the Office of Legal Affairs) expressing his opinion that UN officials are terrified at the prospect of Trump being elected again.
According to the article, the UN official said (my words for simplicity):
UN officials desire to transform the UN into a world government.
Trump opposes world government and wants to make America a sovereign nation again.
Pulling the U.S. out of the UN would cause the UN to lose about one-fourth of its income, and that could lead to the collapse of the UN.
Trump’s desire to close America’s borders is a threat to the borderless world.
Trump has signaled that he will withdraw the U.S. from the World Health Organization (WHO) and possibly NATO (if nations do not pay their dues).
The UN Office of Legal Affairs is preparing to bring Trump before a UN human rights Tribunal if he is elected and goes rogue.

Three, concerning world government: on Sept. 9, 2024, it was reported that the UN will meet on Sept. 22-23, 2024, to ask the nations to sign a Pact for the Future (UN 2.0) that says:
>We, the Heads of State and Government, representing the peoples of the world, have gathered at United Nations Headquarters to protect the needs and interests of present and future generations through the actions in this Pact for the Future,” the document begins.
>We recognize that the multilateral system and its institutions, with the United Nations and its Charter at the centre, must be strengthened to keep pace with a changing world.
>We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the UN, its charter, its purposes, its principles, and Agenda 2030. They vow to comply with the UN’s International Court of Justice and promise to reform the international financial architecture.
>We commend ongoing reform efforts and call for even more urgent and ambitious action to ensure that the international financial architecture becomes more efficient, more equitable, fit for the world of today and responsive to the challenges faced by developing countries in closing the SDG financing gap. The reform of the international financial architecture should place the 2030 Agenda at its centre, with an unwavering commitment to investing in the eradication of poverty in all its forms and dimensions.
>Member states will deepen United Nations’ engagement with national parliaments in United Nations intergovernmental bodies and processes in accordance with national legislation, including through building on the efforts of the United Nations and Inter-Parliamentary Union to engage parliamentarians to maintain support for the implementation of relevant UN agreements and resolutions.
As I understand this, they want to develop a new global financial system and to bind the nations into transforming the UN into a global government.
(FYI: As far as I know, the UN and globalist goal is still to establish a world government by 2030 or sooner if possible.)
Four, concerning world government: on Sept. 5, 2024, award-winning international journalist Alex Newman reported that 26 Republican governors sent a joint letter to Pres. Biden that says:
>The International Health Regulations and the International Pandemic Accord (or treaty) being negotiated by governments and the WHO grant unprecedented and unconstitutional powers over the United States and its people to the UN agency.
>These proposed changes could drastically change the role of governors in response to their charge as the state health officials.
>The objective of these instruments is to empower the WHO, particularly its uncontrollable Director-General, with the authority to restrict the rights of U.S. citizens, including freedoms such as speech, privacy, travel, choice of medical care, and informed consent, thus violating our Constitution’s core principles.
>As governors, we affirm that public health policy is a matter reserved for the states, not the federal government, and certainly not international bodies like the WHO.
>We are committed to resisting any attempts to transfer authority to the WHO over public policy affecting our citizens or any efforts by the WHO to assert such authority over them.
>Put simply, Republican Governors will not comply.
(My opinion: It would take an extremely dangerous threat to the U.S. to get more than half of the governors to send a letter to the President of the U.S. that says we will not comply.)
Five, concerning a worthless peace treaty in the Middle East that could mark the beginning of the Tribulation Period (I Thess. 5:3), dividing the Promised Land, and triggering the Battle of Armageddon (Joel 3:2): on Sept. 5, 2024, Kamala Harris’ vice-pres. pick, Tim Walz, said:
We (the U.S.) can’t allow what’s happened in Gaza to happen.
The Palestinian people have every right to life and liberty themselves.
Israel’s government should be pushed to accept a Palestinian State.
Getting a ceasefire with the return of the hostages and then moving toward a sustainable two-state solution is the only way forward.
The Bible says God made a covenant to give all the Promised Land to Israel forever (Gen. 17:7-8), and He promised to bless those that bless Israel and to curse those that curse Israel (Gen. 12:1-3).
(My opinion: The U.S. might be able to force a peace treaty on Israel, but the U.S. cannot force God to accept it.)
(More: On Sept. 8, 2024, the PA asked the UN Gen. Assembly to pass a resolution to expel the Jews from Judea and Samaria. On Sept. 9, 2024, Israel’s foreign min. said, “If the Palestinian Authority acts against Israel in complete contradiction to the commitments it undertook in the interim arrangements that were signed, Israel will act in the same way and stop all cooperation with the PA and bring about its dissolution.”)
Six, concerning corruption in the Democrat Party: during the 2016 and 2020 presidential election, Democrats accused Republicans of colluding with the Russians to sway the outcome.
During the 2020 presidential election, Democrats and many in the media called the Hunter Biden laptop story Russian disinformation, and they pressured social media to censor it (Zuckerberg has now admitted in writing that he was pressured).
Joe Biden and the FBI knew that the laptop story was true, but 51 intel experts signed a document that said the Russians made up the story.
Anyway, on Sept. 4, 2024, Biden administration officials indicted 2 Russian workers and seized their RT (Russia Today) network for reporting non-Western views (stories that Democrats want censored).
U.S. investigators accused them of favoring former Pres. Trump over his rival Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.
The next day (Sept. 5, 2024), Russian Pres. Putin said he supports Harris.
Putin said Biden was his favorite because he was more predictable than Trump, but Biden dropped out of the race, so he now supports Harris.
Seven, concerning deceit, the possibility of illegals voting in the next election, and perhaps the government running out of money and having to shut down before the next election:
In July of this year, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives passed a bill called the Save Act to require individuals to show proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in elections for federal office, and it pushed states to remove non-citizens from voter rolls.
The Democrat-controlled Senate refused to consider the bill; they have allowed millions of illegals into this country, and they are acting like the Save Act doesn’t exist.
The Biden administration is about to run out of money before the election, and they want Congress to approve a new short-term spending bill by the end of Sept.
Republicans are willing to approve a new short-term spending bill, but they want the Save Act attached so only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections.

If he would, he could allow a vote on the July Save Act that is not attached to the short-term spending bill, but he won’t.
If the Republicans insist on the Save Act being attached to the short-term spending bill, he is threatening to not allow the Senate to vote on it and to blame Republicans for a government shutdown.

The US and its ever-loyal followers Canada and Great Britain have launched a fresh information war offensive. If “fresh” is the word: In a new season of the long-running, apparently never-ever ending Russia Rage show (aka “Russiagate”) that at least the American “elites” simply cannot get enough of, it is again – drum roll – RT that is the target. This time, it stands accused not “merely” of spreading “disinformation” (that is, any information Western governments do not like) but of intelligence work as well.
And then some. Such as trying to influence the American elections (yaaawn) and somehow being linked to collecting volunteer contributions for Russia’s war effort in Ukraine – a form of outreach, by the way, which is exactly the same as what Ukrainian organizations do. There also is an even more terrifying revelation. It has dawned on some troglodytes in the US State Department that RT is not relying on mechanical typewriters and the telegraph but has a “cyber” capability!
Or something. That charge really seems to boil down to being internet-literate, a very special skill set that must appear fiendishly futuristic to some in the US administration. And who can blame them? Can you imagine its – official – leader, Joe “Kind-of-Still-President-When-he-Can-Remember” Biden handling even something as almost antediluvian as a laptop? That is better left, as we know, to his son Hunter “The-Naked-and-The-Paid” Biden. And even then, the consequences tend to be dire.
Of course, the whole performance comes with more sanctions, too. Because sanctions are to American policy on Russia as popcorn is to a really bad B movie: indispensable yet also not making things any better.
Inevitably, this latest US initiative has attracted ridicule, with very good reason. In essence, it is yet another piece of self-owning, sad cringe from a regime struggling – and never making any progress – to come to terms with its steadily declining power, authority, and relevance. It is also easy to spot that, once again, these self-appointed guardians of the “rules-based order” and its “values” have dialed the hypocrisy up to eleven. Seriously? You want to talk about “disinformation”? While Western media, from American CNN, via British BBC, to German ZDF, have become complicit through silence, bias, and even the spreading of outright Israeli propaganda in the by now almost year-long genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza and increasingly the West Bank, too?
Of course, we could look back and name one example after another of Western flagrant lies with horrific, often mass lethal consequences. Indeed, so many that we can’t, actually, do that here. So, just recall two: the brutal campaign of government lying and media propaganda that the same powers used to “justify” their unjustifiable war of aggression against Iraq in 2003. By March 2023, the Costs of War project, based at the prestigious Brown University in the US, put the losses among Iraqi civilians alone at, as a very conservative minimum estimate, between almost 281,000 and over 315,000 “killed by direct violence since the US invasion.”
Note the word “direct.” If we add, as we realistically have to, those killed “indirectly,” that is by avoidable malnutrition, disease, infrastructure destruction etc., then the real death toll, so the Costs of War project, was “likely much higher” again. Keep in mind also that those who were killed are only the tip of a dark iceberg of the ruined, injured, amputated, displaced, physically and psychologically scarred for life and over generations. Those are the real, countable results of brazen Western lies. And now the US and its accomplices are here to preach about “disinformation.” What’s left to say? Except perhaps that Western “elites” are not only literally mass-murderous but absolutely shameless and tone deaf, too.
The second example of brazen Western lying, very much including by the mainstream media again, that we should recall in this context is the persecution and torture of Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, who, among other things, exposed US atrocities in the Iraq War. For that outstanding service to humanity – and other “sins,” in the eyes of the West’s powerful – he was subjected to more than two decades of various forms of incarceration, including long stretches that a UN expert has rightly called torture. He was also constantly threatened with extradition to the US, where he would have been slowly murdered by even more torture via isolated incarceration. Meanwhile, US officials also occasionally entertained the idea of simply having him murdered. Now, Assange is finally free. But the vicious retaliation visited on him when he was, without exaggeration, the single most important political prisoner in the world, was, of course, meant to frighten others into submission and silence.
And that brings us back to an especially sinister aspect of the renewed US assault on RT, namely the allegation that – somehow – RT is “de facto” (oh, what an elastic term!) engaged in intelligence. Being not a “real” journalist and publisher but instead some kind of spy was precisely the keystone lie on which Washington built its many crimes against Assange and his family. And all too many in the West’s media played along. Connect the dots. By leveling the same unsubstantiated charge against RT, the US “elite” is sending a mafia-ish message – like the mobster clan it really is – about what it can and might very well do to any journalist caught working for RT, namely what it did to Assange, or even worse.
Yet other journalists are not the only ones being threatened. The other major target, outside Russia, is the whole Global South, where, so the Americans claim, it is RT that has mightily contributed to its elites and populations not following the US lead on the West’s proxy war in Ukraine. Obviously, that is a message of breath-taking arrogance. Perish the thought that people in the Global South might just have chosen to see things differently! All the “agency” that we have been admonished to include in our evening prayers with regard to Ukraine, there it goes, straight out of the window. No “agency” for the Global South! There, so Washington is not ashamed of trying to tell us, any divergence from its perverse bipartisan war party line can only be due to wicked Russian “outside agitators.”
That is, of course, the patronizing “logic” of a deeply colonialist mindset steeped in narcissism and unquestioned assumptions of supremacy. What is interesting – though not really surprising – is that the Washington blob, for instance, applies the same arrogance to the “ordinary people” of the West. They as well, under the stern gaze of their “betters” at the top, must not be left alone to decide what they want to watch, read, and listen to. Because if they did, they might get ideas, or to be precise, ideas of their own. In that perspective, going after RT is only one part of a desperate, futile effort to shut down any platform for alternative, including very much alternative Western, voices. Think, if you will, of RT as the samizdat of the West, to recall the terms of Soviet dissidence.
But here is the tragedy of the West’s information warriors. All too many, inside and outside the West, are already “out of control,” unwilling to believe the nonsense dished out as the mainstream views they must hold. The deepest reason for that has been explained about two-and-a-half millennia ago by Plato in his dialogue Phaedrus: even the most brilliant rhetoric (here we can translate that term as “propaganda”) can only get you so far. What really wins the argument is having the better case. And rhetoric built on an atrocious case will not prevail, even with the biggest, meanest, most CNN-level-resourced bag of tricks. Ultimately, that is the West’s real problem. From the proxy war devastating Ukraine to the genocide in Gaza, the West has nothing to stand on in terms of both morality and reason. That is why it will lose.
According to survey data, three in ten people in the United States had been clinically diagnosed with depression at a point in their lives in 2023.
As Statista’s Anna Fleck points out in the chart below, this is the highest rate since the question started being asked, up 10.6 percentage points from 2015. The rate of increase was particularly steep in the first year of the pandemic, jumping up from 22.9 percent in 2020 to 28.6 percent in 2021. Meanwhile, 17.8 percent of respondents said that they currently had depression in 2023.
These averages hide figures even more extreme, as Gallup data reveals how rates among women, young adults, as well as Black and Hispanic respondents have risen particularly fast.
According to the survey, 36.7 percent of women report having been diagnosed with depression in their lifetimes versus 20.4 percent of men. For young people aged 18-29, 34.3 percent had been diagnosed with depression, while for 30-44 year olds it was 34.9 percent. Lifetime depression rates among Black and Hispanic adults have now surpassed those of White respondents.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data, 18.4 percent of U.S. adults reported having been diagnosed with depression at some point in their lives. Again, this figure hides disparities, with the CDC data similarly finding that depression prevalence was higher among women (24 percent) than men (13.3 percent).
Largely shedding Joe Biden’s canard that Trump must be defeated to save democracy, Kamala Harris’ conceit is that she prosecutes criminals and Donald Trump is one. “I know Donald Trump’s type,” she sneers.
As San Francisco district attorney and then California attorney general, Harris supported jailing parents of truants, suppressed evidence, keeping an innocent man on death row, repeatedlycovered up misconduct, leading to the dismissal of more than 600 cases, incarcerated prisoners beyond their sentences, violated Federal laws that protect donor privacy, and failed to disclose conflicts of interest arising from her personal relationships. Her record of abusing prosecutorial power fits perfectly with Democrat lawfare against Trump and his advisers.
Now, following setbacks for prosecutors, Trump will have a reprieve in further substantive proceedings until after the election.
Colorado, Maine, and Illinois declared Trump an “insurrectionist,” ineligible for the presidency under the 14th Up to 32 other states were considering doing the same. In Trump v. Anderson, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously rejected this travesty. Among other failings, the states violated a requirement that Congress determine the process, and Trump has never been indicted for, let alone convicted of, insurrection.
The left’s least favorite judge, U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon, dismissed the Mar-a-Lago classified records case, holding that Jack Smith’s appointment as special prosecutor violated the Appointments Clause of the Constitution (Article II, § 2) and his use of a permanent indefinite appropriation violated the Appropriations Clause (Article I, § 9). The government refused a compromise that might have saved the case, and is appealing.
In Trump v. United States, a 6-3 court held that a president is immune from prosecution for official acts, his motives cannot be questioned, and his official acts may not be used as evidence in a prosecution of his private acts. Smith has filed a superseding indictment that suffers many of the same defects as the initial indictment, including as to immunity, novel legal theories, and the First Amendment rights of free speech and petition. Despite U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkin’s best efforts to move the case forward, she has bowed to reality and delayed the next hearing until after the election.
In Fischer v. United States, the Supreme Court threw out federal prosecutors’ use of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2) to prosecute Jan. 6 defendants for interfering in congressional proceedings, holding that the statute is limited to tampering with, or destroying, official records. That ruling also will narrow Trump’s election fraud case.
A Georgia appeals court agreed to hear a challenge to Fani Willis’ right to remain as prosecutor, scheduling arguments too late for a trial this year. Even if Willis prevails, the immunity decision, First Amendment, and misapplication of the Georgia RICO statute likely will doom her case.
A Nevada court dismissed an indictment against six Republicans accused of submitting certificates to Congress falsely declaring Trump the winner of the state’s 2020 presidential election.
The New York cases are more problematic abuses by prosecutors who ran on platforms of “getting” Trump:
There are at least a dozen reasons Trump’s conviction in New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s business records case should be reversed. Trial Judge Juan Merchan has delayedsentencing until Nov. 26, but he first must rule on whether to vacate the verdict because he allowed testimony by federal officials (Hopes Hicks and Trump’s assistant) about Trump’s official acts as president, now prohibited by the Supreme Court’s immunity decision. More damaging, in Erlinger v. United States, the Supreme Court held that a unanimous jury verdict is required for any factual finding that increases a potential sentence. Merchan did not require unanimity to identify the so-called “other crime” used to convert an expired business records misdemeanor into 34 felonies.
Judge Arthur Engoron found Trump liable in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ so-called civil fraud case for misstating asset values in loan applications, though the banks testified they did not rely on the statements, lost no money, and would continue to do business with Trump. Engoron ordered Trump to pay $455 million and forfeit his New York businesses. The New York appeals court stayed most of Engoron’s ruling and allowed Trump to post a reduced bond of $175 million for his appeal. The finding of liability may survive, but the penalties should be vacated as excessive under the 8th Amendment and Article I §5 of the New York Constitution, among other flaws.
If Trump is elected, he can order that the federal prosecutions against him end, or pardon himself, and the state cases likely will be delayed until he leaves office. If Harris wins, the Democrats can be expected to press forward. Though Trump’s legal team has carved back most of the cases and will continue to do so, a conviction still could mean jail time.
Democrats are doing better in their lawfare against Trump’s advisers, who have limited immunity defenses. Several are defendants in Georgia, Arizona, and Michigan. Rudy Guliani and John Eastman are being disbarred, and at least eight other Trump lawyers face disciplinary proceedings. Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon were jailed for refusing to testify to the Jan. 6 Committee. The last time a recalcitrant congressional witness was jailed appears to be 1948.
But for Trump’s wealth and perseverance, he might now be in jail. Democrats financially destroyed or jailed his closest political advisers and are broadly threatening Republican party lawyers. Usually, Harris talks about the criminal justice system from the far left. But, like other progressives, when she is in pursuit mode, the Constitution, equal justice, and fundamental principles are mere affect.

Do you remember that “Joe Biden” guy from a while back that everyone was talking about? Well, we at the Babylon Bee decided to try to track down Joe to see what on earth happened to him. As it turns out, he’s not so easy to catch up with. Biden has an address listed in Washington D.C., but when we stopped by, people at the home said Joe was almost never there. While a few people reported Joe had died, others told us to try combing the beaches of Delaware, or perhaps calling around to local ice cream shops.
After days of calls, we got a report of an elderly man wearing aviators who could not lift his feet off the ground spotted near Rehoboth Beach. We knew it had to be Joe! After a day of questioning locals, we finally spotted our man asleep under an umbrella. In fact, it was a good thing we caught up with Joe when we did! With the tide coming in, his beach chair was literally a couple minutes from being swept out to sea.
Incredibly, Joe has opened his own Tiki Bar on Rehoboth Beach, which he calls the “Jack Shack.” Joe said his sudden disappearance from the public eye was his own decision, but curiously offered that if he said any more, he would be killed. Joe seemed happier than we remembered him, clutching a brand new red hat that seemed to be his prized possession. He looked good.
While the details of his fall from fame remain a mystery, if you ever want to see ol’ Joe, head out to the beaches of Delaware and look for the man shuffling around the “Jack Shack,” smiling in his red hat.

Western nations have intensified efforts to limit RT’s reach in recent years through sweeping sanctions and media restrictions
The Russian multimedia broadcaster RT has faced unprecedented scrutiny and restrictions from Western countries in recent years. The measures taken against the outlet escalated significantly from 2022 through 2024.
The intensifying efforts by Western nations to curtail RT’s influence and operational capacity reflect broader geopolitical tensions and concerns about media influence.
2022: A year of tightening measures
The year 2022 marked a pivotal moment for RT as Western nations and entities began imposing stringent measures against the network. In February, major broadcasters Foxtel in Australia and SKY New Zealand ceased airing RT. By March, the wave of restrictions expanded significantly:
– META, which includes platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, restricted access to RT and Sputnik, the Russian state-funded news agency, across the European Union due to the conflict in Ukraine. Simultaneously, X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms enacted shadow bans, reducing the visibility of RT’s content.
– The European Union implemented a comprehensive ban on RT and Sputnik, blocking all language versions on satellites, websites, and social media. Financial transactions to and from Russia were also restricted.
– The UK media regulator Ofcom revoked RT’s broadcasting license, initiating 29 investigations into the channel’s coverage of Ukraine for alleged lack of impartiality.
– YouTube permanently removed RT and Sputnik accounts, while TikTok and Telegram also blocked RT accounts across the EU, US, and Canada.
– The EU’s ban was described as an exceptional and temporary measure by a European Commission representative.
– In the Netherlands, internet providers blocked RT and Sputnik websites, while the National Council of Austria prohibited RT broadcasts to curb “fake news” about Ukraine.
– Société Générale, a French bank, blocked the salary accounts of RT France employees.
– The UK imposed sanctions on RT, closing its bureau and restricting financial operations under threat of criminal charges.
– In the US, satellite operators DirecTV/AT&T and Dish TV, as well as OTT operator ROKU, removed RT America from their lineups. Canada followed suit, with the CRTC revoking RT’s license and major cable providers like Rogers and Shaw Cable halting broadcasts.
– RT’s online presence was further diminished as Google blocked its sites from recommended services and app stores like Apple and Google removed the RT app.
In December, the European Union imposed sanctions on ANO “TV-Novosti,” RT’s parent organization, underscoring the continued pressure.
2023: Continued restrictions
The restrictive measures against RT persisted into 2023:
– In January, all RT France accounts were blocked in France by the Main Treasury Department.
– The EU banned RT Arabic and Sputnik Arabic broadcasts in February.
– In March, German authorities froze the accounts of RT DE Productions GmbH.
– By June, the EU had added RT Balkan to its list of banned broadcasters as part of a new sanctions package.
2024: Intensified sanctions and diplomatic campaigns
The pressure on RT reached new heights in 2024:
– The US imposed sanctions against RT, its founder Margarita Simonyan, and several top executives. The sanctions also targeted RIA Novosti, Sputnik, and Ruptly. The FBI labeled RT as a tool of Russian government propaganda.
– The US also sanctioned three entities and two individuals associated with RT, including for operations in Moldova. Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized RT for undermining democracy and US elections.
– A coordinated diplomatic campaign by the UK and Canada intends to treat RT’s actions as intelligence operations, with a particular focus on its growing influence in the Global South.
– The FBI conducted a raid involving 20 agents on an RT employee’s residence in the USA, subjecting her to questioning about RT’s leadership and operations.

Voters won’t be choosing between the Republican and Democrat parties in the general election, but rather between the “Unity” Party and the “Uniparty.” The tribal nature of American politics has led many to believe that each side is made up solely of party ideologues who prioritize the donkey or the elephant above all else. However, that is clearly not the case, as these two groups are not bound by traditional party lines. The Uniparty consists of those who support, and are responsible for the current anti-American governance, while the Unity Party is a diverse and growing coalition of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents united by their bipartisan love of country.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent endorsement of President Trump marked the official beginning of a long-brewing national desire for unity. RFK Jr., a direct descendant of arguably the most prominent Democrat family in history, had long identified with the party, even as it shifted away from the values embodied by his uncle, President John F. Kennedy. Just 17 months ago, he launched a primary bid for the Democrat nomination. Now, with the party’s extremism reaching an unprecedented level, Kennedy not only endorsed the Republican nominee but also suspended his own campaign to do so.
Kennedy and other former Democrats now backing Trump (such as Tulsi Gabbard) haven’t suddenly embraced traditional Republican ideology. He has criticized the NRA, while Trump proudly touts their endorsement. Kennedy sees climate change as an existential crisis, whereas Trump remains a skeptic of it. Kennedy advocated for banning fracking, as Trump pledges to “Drill, Baby, Drill.”
Instead, Democrats who are backing Trump held onto commonsense principles that were once considered bipartisan while their former party shifted toward Marxism. When Kennedy reached out to both major party nominees to find common ground on issues such as free speech, ending the forever wars that have claimed millions of lives globally, and improving overall health by removing toxins from our food supply and vaccines, President Trump responded enthusiastically. In contrast, Kamala Harris showed no interest, underscoring how far the Democrat Party has strayed from its roots.
The 1992 Democrat platform, introduced by then-nominee Bill Clinton, was more similar to today’s Republican platform than it was different. If Clinton had made remarks at this year’s Democrat National Convention resembling those from the 1992 platform—such as advocating for fair immigration policies, aggressively pursuing crime, and calling for abortion to be rare—he would have been booed off the stage. This overt shift in Democrat policy is significant, but the rise of the Unity Party can be most attributed to the Uniparty’s undemocratic abuses of power, particularly through efforts to eliminate those who dissent, resist, or challenge their ideology.
It was long suspected, though only recently confirmed, that the Democrat Party, federal agencies, and social media platforms conspired during the 2020 election to prevent a Trump victory. This has since escalated into four indictments, one conviction awaiting sentencing, ballot-removal schemes, and a nearly successful assassination attempt. Kennedy’s notable base of supporters sympathizes with these abuses because Kennedy has been similarly victimized. Despite being from a political family most known for its assassinations, Kennedy was denied Secret Service protection from the outset of his campaign. He was also barred from proper entry into the Democrat primary process, prompting him to run as an Independent. Now, as he attempts to withdraw his name from swing state ballots, Democrat lawmakers are fighting to keep him on to confuse his supporters after he urged them to back President Trump.
Further fueling the emerging Unity Party/Uniparty dynamic is the exodus of formerly prominent, now insignificant figures from the Republican Party. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, who made up the last Trump-less Republican ticket, have bothdeclared they will not endorse Trump. Perhaps more notably, Trump’s former Vice President, Mike Pence, has also stated he will not offer his endorsement. Former President George W. Bush also recently announced he will not endorse anyone in this election, just years after his father, former President George H.W. Bush, voted for Hillary Clinton. Bush’s Vice President, Dick Cheney, plans to go even further by voting for Kamala Harris. The irony is that just as Democrat endorsements help Trump, so too do Republican non-endorsements, as they further highlight how Trump differs from the unpopular Republican platform of the past, one perpetually mired in forever wars.
For example, the Bush-Cheney administration is most remembered for invading the Middle East under false pretenses, a decision Cheney still shockingly defends despite it leading to millions of deaths worldwide. In more recent conflicts, Paul Ryan criticized Trump’s calls for a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war, labeling them “pro-isolationist, pro-Russia, and pro-Putin.” Mike Pence stunned many when he stated that the needs of the U.S. were “not his concern,” prioritizing sending more aid to prolong the war in Ukraine, seemingly unfazed by the rising death toll. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney called Trump’s successful effort to pressure NATO allies to contribute more or face reduced U.S. support “outrageous,” even though this strategy proved effective in deterring future conflicts.
When the insistence of long-entrenched elites from both parties to abandon commonsense in favor of doubling down on war and extremism is combined with the current Marxist agenda exemplified by Harris and Walz, a full-blown clash between the Unity Party and the Uniparty becomes inevitable.
Despite Kamala Harris’s policy flip-flopping, her reputation as a radical leftist Marxist persists. Long before becoming Vice President, she was ranked as the most liberal senator in Congress, positioned even farther left than Elizabeth Warren or Socialist
Bernie Sanders. Later, as “Border Czar,” Harris allowed the U.S. southern border to become a dumping ground for the world’s problems. Her recent tax proposal was shockingly communist, calling for a 25 percent unrealized capital gains tax—up from the current rate of zero. She further solidified her extremism by choosing Minnesota’s CCP-friendly Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. Walz’s record includes business-crushing lockdowns during COVID, the installation of tampons in men’s bathrooms, and an admitted openness to socialism—just a few examples of his anti-American, extremist views.
The track records of Harris and Walz prove that their extreme proposals are more than just political rhetoric—they are policies intended to be implemented. For those who believe otherwise, Kamala’s home state of California has served as the testing ground for numerous radical leftist policy proposals. California became the first state to ban school policies requiring parents to be notified of their child’s gender dysphoria. The state legislature has also flirted with other alarming bills, including those proposing Universal Basic Income (UBI) and granting $150,000 home loans to illegal immigrants.
It’s often said that every election is the most important in American history. President Trump echoed this sentiment in both 2016 and 2020, and unsurprisingly is once again now regarding 2024. He was right then, and he’s right now.
Had Hillary Clinton won in 2016, the continuation of Obama’s presidency—which we are living through now—would have rolled out immediately. Instead, Trump’s victory proved how great America could be. The 2020 election was even more critical, as a victory for the party that exhibited brazen signs of tyranny during COVID would have meant the end of Trump’s remarkable progress—which is exactly what happened and continues to unfold.
Now, the stakes of the 2024 election are even higher than the previous two. The Uniparty represents a radical Marxist agenda, composed of long-entrenched establishment members from both parties who prioritize lining their own pockets at the expense of the United States and its citizens. In contrast, the Unity Party champions an agenda of American exceptionalism and world peace—open to any citizen or politician who loves the America and wants to see it thrive. Even if only a fraction of this agenda were implemented, it would set America on a path to greatness, improving the quality of life for millions.
A Harris-Walz administration would be a tragedy in any era, but even more so if it meant passing up an alternative that could set America on the path to greatness for generations—a mistake so great that it may never be remedied. That is why the age-old “most important election ever” cliché is now true. Trump or Kamala? Unity or Uniparty? Freedom or Tyranny? Our choices couldn’t be clearer.

Both the UK and Canada are on board, we reported earlier, and British Prime Minister Ken Starmer is visiting Washington where he’s directly lobbying Biden to jump on board and grant Zelensky’s urgent request to lift all restrictions on Western weaponry.
However, The New York Times suggests that saner minds are prevailing at this point. “President Biden’s deliberations with Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain about whether to allow Ukraine to attack Russia with long-range Western weapons were fresh evidence that the president remains deeply fearful of setting off a dangerous, wider conflict,” the publication writes.
Let’s hope this is the case, given this is arguably the most dangerous moment and decision-point of the war to date. Pentagon leadership has recently stressed that granting the permission for long-range strikes will do little strategically to change the battlefield, where Russian momentum has continually gained in eastern Ukraine.
Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov on Friday added to prior Kremlin warnings, telling Rossiya 24 channel that he fears American leadership and the people are under “illusion”.
He said they seem to think that “if there is a conflict, it will not spread to the territory of the United States of America.”
Antonov continued by stressing that Americans can’t hide from nuclear war if this unthinkable happens. “I am constantly trying to convey to them one thesis that the Americans will not be able to sit it out behind the waters of this ocean. This war will affect everyone, so we constantly say – do not play with this rhetoric,” Antonov stated according to state media translation.

CNN came out with an extremely rare fact check of the Democrats after reviewing the Kamala Harris campaign’s social media account @KamalaHQ and determining that they “repeatedly” deceive voters with propaganda.
You know it’s bad when Democrat propaganda network, CNN, calls out lies from the Democrats. And it’s not the first time this has happened recently.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, during CNN’s Wednesday episode of “News Night with Abby Phillip,” the panelists shot Phillip down after lying about Harris’s record on fracking. “That’s not true!” they yelled simultaneously:
CommunityNotesFTW, a non-affiliated X account that celebrates real fact checks on leftist disinformation, also highlighted how the Harris campaign account has abused community notes “over and over” to try and discredit accurate information.
WashingtonCNN — A social media account run by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been repeatedly deceptive.
The @KamalaHQ account, which has more than 1.3 million followers on the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has made a habit of misleadingly clipping and inaccurately captioning video clips to attack former President Donald Trump.
The Harris campaign deploys @KamalaHQ as a kind of irreverent attack dog, using jocular posts to draw attention to controversial, incorrect, or dubious comments by Trump and his allies. But the account, which the Harris campaign calls its “official rapid response page,” has itself made inaccurate comments on multiple occasions.
Below are eight examples of false or misleading video posts from the account since mid-August, including three from the latter part of this week. All of them have previously been highlighted by an anonymous rebuttal account called @KamalaHQLies, which itself has more than 268,000 followers.
CNN used the following examples of misleading posts from Kamala HQ:
On August 17, the account implied that Trump did not know what state he was in, pointing to his left and asking, “Would that be okay, North Carolina?” while speaking in Pennsylvania. In a similar Instagram post, the caption read, “Trump is lost and confused.”
However, as CNN notes, earlier in Trump’s speech, he had pointed to his left to acknowledge his supporters who traveled from North Carolina, and he later gave them another shout-out in the clip referenced by @KamalaHQ.
On September 12, the Harris campaign did it again, claiming Trump was lost on the campaign trail while speaking in Arizona.
In the clip below, Trump says, “Pennsylvania, remember this when you have to go to vote. Just remember this: 2,000% increase…” which the X account uses to imply he’s lost. Again, the @kamalahq Instagram account used the same clip but added text over the video, explicitly stating, “Trump forgets which state he is in (again).” The Instagram caption read, “He is rapidly declining.”
CNN accurately reported that “the Harris campaign clipped out critical context.” While speaking about immigration in Arizona, Trump mentioned that a town in Pennsylvania “experienced a 2,000% increase in the population of Haitian migrants under Kamala Harris.” He then reminded the viewers in Pennsylvania to “remember this when you have to go to vote.”
Unlike Kamala, Trump has a nationwide audience with millions watching every speech he delivers, and he uses his platform to speak to the country.
The Harris campaign declined CNN’s request for comment on both of these lies.
On September 13, the Harris campaign reprised the Charlottesville hoax, claiming Trump said “nothing was done wrong” in Charlottesville with a deceptively edited clip.
In Trump’s full statement, which was edited by the Harris campaign, Trump clarified that he was not saying that the demonstrators in Charlottesville did nothing wrong. Instead, Trump said that he did nothing wrong in his comments following the 2017 Charlottesville demonstration, where he said there were “very fine people on both sides” while condemning the violence and bad actors in the crowd.
While speaking about the biased September 10 debate moderators and their numerous one-sided fact-checks against him mid-debate, Trump remarked, “I think [David Muir] corrected me 11 times. Of the 11 times, I don’t think he had the right to correct me at all. Didn’t correct her once. Like on Project 2025, I have no idea about — had nothing to do with me, he didn’t correct her, he knew that. Charlottesville — nothing was done wrong. All you had to do is read my statement one more sentence and you would’ve seen that. Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse, all of them, they — Greg Gutfeld — they all took that and they corrected it many times. But they keep coming with the same lies.”
The Harris campaign doubled down on this post, ignoring the fact that Trump condemned the violence and Neo-Nazis in Charlottesville and telling CNN, “He’s saying he did ‘nothing wrong’ in relation to him saying ‘very fine people’ who did what is described in the tweet.”
On September 12, @KamalaHQ lied about JD Vance’s comments regarding veterans’ health care.
When asked if Vance would “consider privatizing veterans health care,” Vance responded, “I think I’d consider it, and Donald Trump was really good at this–he doesn’t get enough credit for this particular innovation–giving veterans more choice, right? Let’s say you’re in a rural hospital, your closest VA is 120 miles away, why force a veteran to drive two and a half hours to that VA facility when he can get cheaper and good care right in his backyard? So, I do think that we ought to open up choice and optionality for veterans. I think that there is areas where the VA works very well, so I wouldn’t say get rid of the whole thing. I would say give people more choice. I think you’ll save money in the process, you’ll also give veterans a lot more optionality.”
But Kamala HQ cut out all but two seconds of Vance’s response to the question:
Ignoring the misleading implications of the post, the Harris campaign told CNN in an email, “Vance is suggesting he would consider privatizing VA functions. This is not misleading. Our caption does not say ‘the whole VA health system.’”
On August 30, the Harris campaign used a seven-second clip to claim that “Trump plans to bring back laws from 100+ years ago” and push a narrative by referencing Project 2025, which Trump has denounced despite the good ideas found in the proposal.
However, in the full clip, Trump did not even mention Project 2025. Instead, Trump was speaking about a law that would dish out 10-year prison sentences for vandalizing monuments.
The Harris campaign again ignored the lies in their post and defended the claim, telling CNN, “Trump’s entire platform is about embracing ‘tough’ policy of the past.”
On September 5, the Harris campaign posted a 12-second clip of Trump and misrepresented his comments about an expansion of Trump tax cuts as “handouts for the ultra-wealthy.”
The account clipped out the part where Trump explained that his plan to cut taxes more was eliminating tax on tips and social security benefits and misrepresented his 2017 tax cuts, which benefitted all Americans.
The Harris campaign claimed the “no tax on tips and Social Security were not new.”
On August 30, the Harris campaign posted a five-second clip and lied about JD Vance’s comments on Unions.
Vance said in a speech to the International Association of Fire Fighters union, “A lot of Democrats want to attack Republicans as being anti-union, and sometimes the shoe fits — but not me, and not Donald Trump” and continued to speak on his accomplishments for firefighters and his plan to fight for them as Vice President. However, @KamalaHQ clipped all but five seconds of his speech to make it appear the Trump administration will be anti-union and anti-firefighter.
Vance: Democrats want to attack Republicans as being anti-union and sometimes the shoe fits
@KamalaHQLies on X corrected the record in a comment, noting that “JD Vance clearly says Trump supports the firefighter union but KamalaHQ cut that part out,” and “KamalaHQ conveniently cut the video short to hide what JD Vance really said.”
Questioned by CNN, the Harris campaign said it was a “direct quote of JD Vance.”
