Isaiah 39:3 — Joshua said the same thing about the Gibeonites (Joshua 9:6). Seek the LORD first before you start making alliances (2 Corinthians 6:14).
Isaiah 40:3 — John the Baptist quoted this to identify his role (John 1:23, Mark 1:3).
Isaiah 40:5 — The Lawrence University Orchestra performed this part of Handel’s Messiah:
Isaiah 40:8 — The only two things that will live forever are God’s Word and a person’s soul. Spend time in God’s Word and with people!
Isaiah 40:11 — The Shepherd of Psalm 23 will come (from Isaiah’s perspective) and has come (from ours)!
Isaiah 40:12 — This sounds a lot like the end of Job. This wisdom poetry reminds us that we are unable to compare the LORD to anyone (Isaiah 40:25)!
Isaiah 40:28 — This is a great memory verse on the nature of God: His infinitude!

Ephesians 1:1 — We’ve read Paul’s doctrinal discussions with the Romans, his dealings with the deep troubles of the Corinthians, his disputations with the defecting Galatians, but now we read of his delight in the Ephesians!
Ephesians 1:7 — Redemption through his blood! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!
Ephesians 1:11 — Notice how “inheritance” is used three times – we’ve obtained an inheritance through Christ (Ephesians 1:10), the Holy Spirit is the “down payment” (Ephesians 1:14), and there is unknown riches of glory ahead (Ephesians 1:18). All things, starting with our redemption, are through Jesus Christ!
Psalm 66:3 — As we mentioned before, the English language has devolved. “Terrible,” from the Latin Terreo (frighten), has been hijacked to mean “poor quality (I did a terrible job).” It’s true meaning is “impressing terror, dread, awe.”
Psalm 66:18 — The Psalmist shares with us this important truth about prayer. As we see sad tales of pastors falling into sin, we realize that their sins were done in secret. What’s sad is that, like David, it’s possible to spend a year as the leader of God’s chosen people, and yet not spend any time with God (2 Samuel 11:27).

From this day will I bless you. (Haggai 2:19)
Future things are hidden from us. Yet here is a glass in which we may see the unborn years. The Lord says, “From this day will I bless you.”
It is worthwhile to note the day which is referred to in this promise. There had been failure of crops, blasting, and mildew, and all because of the people’s sin. Now, the Lord saw these chastened ones commencing to obey His word and build His temple, and therefore He says, “From the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, consider. From this day will I bless you.” If we have lived in any sin, and the Spirit leads us to purge ourselves of it, we may reckon upon the blessing of the Lord. His smile, His Spirit, His grace, His fuller revelation of His truth will all prove to us an enlarged blessing. We may fall into greater opposition from man because of our faithfulness, but we shall rise to closer dealings with the Lord our God and a clearer sight of our acceptance in Him.
Lord, I am resolved to be more true to Thee and more exact in my following of Thy doctrine and Thy precept; and I pray Thee, therefore, by Christ Jesus, to increase the blessedness of my daily life henceforth and forever.

He’s vying to become North Carolina’s first black governor, and leftists don’t like it. So, they sat on a salacious story until the very last day that Robinson could exit the race, after ballots had already been printed. What did CNN reporters know, and when did they know it? And where are Facebook’s censors, and why aren’t they protecting this black conservative like they protected white-privileged Hunter Biden ahead of the 2020 election? It’s hard to know what the up- and down-ballot implications will be here, but North Carolina is a crucial swing state, especially for Republicans. In defending himself yesterday, Robinson said, “Clarence Thomas once famously said, he was the victim of a high-tech lynching.” True enough. But in this case, Robinson may have supplied his political enemies with the rope.
- Pelosi claims Harris won “open primary”: During an interview earlier this week, Nancy Pelosi was asked about a statement she made prior to Joe Biden bowing out of the presidential race. The event host, Kadia Goba, asked, “You had reportedly said that you wanted sort of an open primary if Joe Biden stepped down. We have a great bench, all these great people in the country, and the president endorsed her, and that’s a big deal because Joe Biden is the most consequential president of modern times.” Later, Pelosi clarified her claim, saying, “It wasn’t that we didn’t have an open process. It’s just that nobody got in because she had a running start.” Talk about gaslighting.

There was initial confusion … that malware had potentially been uploaded to the devices, causing the batteries to overheat and explode.” Nope. The Israelis left nothing to chance.

These criminal groups primarily recruit illegal immigrants to steal the oil. And the problem is only growing as hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake. The thefts include hijacked trucks hauling oil and gasoline as well as stealing expensive drilling rig equipment. Gonzales argues, “The locals know about this, but they just don’t have the resources to combat against it because it’s very sophisticated.” Matt Coday, president and founder of the Oil & Gas Workers Association, explained, “It’s not just people being attacked. It’s not just a threat to our economy. It’s an absolute threat to national security.”

- DeSantis says feds are stonewalling: “The answer is ‘no,’ they’re not being cooperative,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said in response to a question regarding federal agencies sharing information with the state as it conducts an investigation into the second assassination attempt against Donald Trump. “I am concerned,” DeSantis explained. “Our investigators were rebuffed just going to the fence line outside of Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.” He then observed that the Biden/Harris administration simply didn’t want Florida to conduct its own investigation. We have a duty to bring the appropriate charges and we also have a duty to inform the public about how this happened.” DeSantis also pointed out that the country has yet to get any answers from the feds’ investigation of the first assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. “So,” he said, “part of the investigation that our folks are doing is they are going to provide evidence they find of motive, evidence of his associations, and evidence of his beliefs. I think it is very important that the public get the real story on that.”

Dungy, an outspoken Christian, responded: “Dear VP Harris: I hear you make this statement all the time… Exactly what ‘faith’ are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion? Are you talking about the Christian faith that says all babies are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26), that God places them in the womb (Jer 1:5) and that we should not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)?” He then added, “Are you talking about that faith or some nebulous, general ‘faith’ that says we’re good enough, and smart enough to make our own decisions? Harris and Her Lemmings Lie About Abortion Bans

Abortion is the only policy on which Kamala Harris feels like she has solid ground to stand. She is religiously zealous in her advocacy of it. And because Harris is not really making any headway in the polls, her campaign and media propagandists have propagated for political expediency the idea that abortion bans kill women. (Ironic, I know.)
The publication ProPublica, a well-known Democrat spin machine, posted a story on Monday detailing the tragedy of Amber Thurman, a single mother to a young son in Georgia who became pregnant with twins. Thurman was just starting to get on her feet and was planning to start nursing school in the fall. New babies would definitely complicate that.
Thurman traveled to North Carolina to get an abortion because Georgia prohibits it after six weeks gestation. (North Carolina also has a ban, but it’s slightly longer at 12 weeks, six days.) She was nine weeks along at the time.
When she arrived, medical personnel didn’t give her a surgical abortion because she didn’t make it on time to her appointment. Instead, they offered her the abortion pills mifepristone and misoprostol. She took the first pill and went home to finish the abortion alone. It was after she took the second pill that things started to go dreadfully wrong.
Within a week, Thurman was having severe symptoms. When she went to the emergency room, she was diagnosed with sepsis because she hadn’t been able to expel all of her preborn babies’ remains. She was given antibiotics and then sent home. The next day, she was diagnosed with acute sepsis, but the hospital still didn’t give her a D&C (dilation and curettage). She waited for hours before the hospital got around to helping her. She died on the operating table.
A day after the ProPublica article was published, Kamala Harris posted this: “A young mother from Georgia should be alive today, raising her son and pursuing her dream of attending nursing school. This is exactly what we feared when Roe v. Wade was struck down. In more than 20 states, Trump Abortion Bans prevent doctors from providing basic medical care.”
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi followed suit a day after that: “Amber Nicole Thurman died because a Trump Abortion Ban denied her access to reproductive health care. Make no mistake: this preventable death is the direct consequence of actions taken by the Trump-appointed Supreme Court and Republican lawmakers to tear down Roe v. Wade.”
It’s a disgusting lie.
ProPublica, Harris, and Pelosi would have everyone believe that Thurman’s death was the result of a cruel abortion ban in Georgia. Thurman was not given a D&C in time, though ProPublica blames Georgia’s ban for that delay.
But what really caused her death? The abortion pill — and a hospital that probably committed medical malpractice.
“This woman died from her abortion,” conservative podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey noted. “She tragically tried to abort her twins via a medication abortion. As is too often the case, parts of the baby were left inside her, which caused her to suffer from fatal sepsis. Yes, she should have received a D&C and antibiotics. But that is not the fault of any Georgia law, which fully permits a D&C when the baby has already passed. She died because of the abortion pills and because of the negligence of doctors. She did not die because of any pro-life law.”
The Babylon Bee’s Joel Barry accurately added: “This young mother from Georgia was killed by an abortionist. She ran into traffic on the way to the abortion clinic, and they refused to hold her spot for a surgical abortion. Instead, they sent her home with mifepristone and misoprostol abortion pills, which made her go septic and die. No law prevented her from receiving timely follow-up care. Abortionist monsters are killing women and blaming it on Trump.”
A D&C to remove deceased fetal remains is not illegal in Georgia at any stage. Thurman was not a victim of an abortion ban. She was a victim of abortion pills, neglectful and greedy abortion mills, and a hospital that did not give her timely care.
ProPublica would also have readers believe that the reason doctors didn’t care for Thurman in a more timely manner was because of fear that giving her lifesaving surgery would get them in trouble with the law. Georgia’s abortion ban has exceptions when saving the life of the mother, so that particular accusation doesn’t hold up. The more pertinent point is brought up by The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd: “Instead, all evidence suggests Thurman’s death was due to medical negligence egged on by leftist fearmongering about lifesaving laws that provably protect women and babies from harm.”
Harris and her lemmings are lying to support the narrative that Georgia’s abortion ban killed this young mother. They are standing on her grave and saying with a straight face that if Georgia hadn’t had an abortion ban, she could have gotten a surgical abortion and would still be alive today.
Here is the dark truth that this story obfuscates: Abortion pills aren’t safe and shouldn’t be given to women. In fact, back in February, this author highlighted an exposé of a medical journal that retracted (read: suppressed) three studies demonstrating the danger of these pills. The only reason to hide this evidence is political bias and disregard for the lives of women and children.
As Patriot Post ambassador Isabel Brown notes, “It’s estimated that 5-10% of women who take the abortion pill as instructed, as Amber did, retain tissue of their child inside their body requiring immediate surgical intervention — so she isn’t alone in this tragedy.”
It also goes to show that even with a policy that Harris feels justified to support, she has to have her cronies lie about it. Why? Because killing children is indefensible. And because they’re trying to gin up votes in a crucial swing state.

Is There A Secret Ulterior Motive Behind The “Emergency Move” That The Federal Reserve Just Made? | The Economic Collapse
We aren’t supposed to question anything that the Federal Reserve does. We are just supposed to quietly accept their decisions and move on. Sadly, most Americans don’t even realize that the Federal Reserve has far more power over the economy than anyone else does. We often talk about the “Biden economy” or the “Trump economy”, but the truth is that the Fed is much more responsible for our economic performance than the White House is. So the fact that the Fed just made an “emergency move” that is normally only reserved for times of crisis should deeply alarm all of us. Has the Fed made this move for a secret reason that they aren’t telling us?
On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve reduced interest rates for the very first time in more than four years…
The Federal Reserve on Wednesday cut interest rates for the first time since March 2020, as the central bank lowered the benchmark federal funds rate by 50 basis points amid progress in the fight against inflation.
The cut was larger than the 25 basis point cut forecast by LSEG economists, though interest rate traders saw a 64% probability of a 50 basis point cut as of Tuesday, according to the CME FedWatch tool. With the 50 point cut, the Fed lowered the target range for the federal funds rate to 4.75% to 5% – down from 5.25% to 5.5%.
It was expected that the Fed would cut rates.
But it was the size of the rate cut that stunned a lot of the experts.
Previously, the only times that the Fed has cut rates by more than 25 basis points has been during moments of crisis.
The last time this occurred was during the early days of the COVID pandemic, and prior to that we had not seen it happen since the financial crisis of 2008…
Outside of the emergency rate reductions during Covid, the last time the FOMC cut by half a point was in 2008 during the global financial crisis.
So why did the Fed pull the trigger on such a dramatic move on Wednesday?
According to Fed Chair Jerome Powell, the U.S. economy is doing just fine…
“I don’t see anything in the economy right now that suggests that the likelihood of a downturn is elevated — you see growth at a solid rate, you see inflation coming down and a labor market that is still at very solid levels,” Fed Chair Jerome Powell said in a press conference on Wednesday to discuss the rate cut.
Of course the U.S. economy is not doing just fine.
In fact, small businesses have been bleeding workers for quite a few months…
ADP data shows small businesses with 1-49 workers have been reducing workers for four months. Those with 20-49 workers have shed workers for 7 straight months.
And more workers are getting the axe with each passing day. Here is just one recent example…
Nearly 40% of Michelin’s workforce reportedly took the company up on voluntary severance offers following news of impending layoffs.
Sources familiar with the situation told The Gazette that the company was planning to downsize only 80 positions — or about 21.6% of its workforce. Instead, about 38% of the workforce decided to accept the voluntary severance.
According to the summary of benefits provided to The Gazette, Michelin plans on “reducing production by 50% transitioning to a 5-day working schedule.”
We also just got more bad news about the housing market.
CNBC is reporting that existing home sales were down once again during the month of August…
Sales of previously owned homes fell 2.5% in August from July, to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 3.86 million units, according to the National Association of Realtors.
That is slightly lower than what analysts expected. Sales were 4.2% lower than August 2023. It marks three straight months of sales below the 4 million mark, annualized.
The housing market has been in a depressed state for a long time, and so this rate cut will definitely help.
But I don’t think that this is why the Fed decided to cut rates.
Right now, we are less than 50 days away from the election, and this was the last opportunity that the Federal Reserve had to influence the outcome.
A 50 basis point cut is inevitably going to provide a short-term economic boost, and the financial markets were thrilled when it was announced.
In fact, it was being reported that stock prices were “exploding higher” on Thursday…
“Stocks are exploding higher as markets absorb the Fed’s outsized rate cut,” Adam Crisafulli of Vital Knowledge said in a note to investors.
Lower interest rates help financial markets in two big ways. They ease the brakes off the economy by making it cheaper for U.S. households and businesses to borrow money, which can accelerate spending and investment. They also boost prices for riskier assets such as equities, gold and cryptocurrencies.
When stock prices go up, it makes the party that is currently in the White House look better.
By the end of the day on Thursday, the Dow and the S&P 500 had both reached new all-time record high levels…
Stocks jumped Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 rising to new all-time highs, as traders cheered the Federal Reserve’s Wednesday decision to lower interest rates by a half percentage point.
The 30-stock index advanced 522.09 points, or 1.26%, ending at 42,025.19, marking its first close above the 42,000 threshold. The S&P 500 rose 1.7% to close at 5,713.64, topping 5,700 for the first time. The Nasdaq Composite surged 2.51% to end at 18,013.98.
Of course the Fed insists that cutting rates by 50 basis points had nothing to do with the election.
But don’t let Fed officials fool you.

Of course, this law will only be used to criminally charge Trump supporters for exercising their First Amendment rights.
Elon Musk trolled Gavin Newsom and encouraged X users to share a Kamala Harris parody campaign ad.
“The governor of California just made this parody video illegal in violation of the Constitution of the United States,” Elon Musk said.
“Would be a shame if it went viral,” he said.
On Thursday Gavin Newsom threatened Elon Musk.
“I think Mr. Musk missed the punchline. Parody is still alive and well in California but deepfakes and manipulation of elections that hurts democracy and integrity of the system and trust and we believe in truth and trust and we think this law is sound and will be upheld in courts,” Newsom said on Thursday to reporters.
A reporter followed up, “Sir, do you intend to seek legal action whether on Elon Musk or on any of the…”
Newsom threatened Musk: “The law asserts that many can seek injunction relief and I just signed the law, I just signed 32 other bills on housing and I haven’t had a chance to review the specific lawsuit around a conservative blogger that seems offended by our law.”
Newsom was referring to the court’s ability to stop distribution of the content and impost civil penalties.

Israel carried out dozens of strikes on Thursday across southern Lebanon, in what Lebanese security sources said were some of the most intense bombings since Hezbollah began daily cross-border attacks on northern communities after the start of the Gaza war on October 7.
For all the years that Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has vowed to “destroy Israel!!”, for all his tough talk, Israel has finally granted his wish and brought the fight to Lebanon, and guess what? So far there has been almost no reaction or response from Hezbollah. Maybe it’s because they are quietly preparing a massive retaliation that will stun the world, or more likely, they are terrified of the IDF after watching thousands of their soldiers being blown up in next-level pager and walkie talkie attacks.

Here’s an interesting tidbit that no one seems to be talking about. The war cabinet in Israel has approved a decision that authorizes Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant to decide between themselves whether to take action against Hezbollah, which would ultimately lead to an all-out war in Lebanon. The two alone are now authorized “to take defensive and offensive actions against Hezbollah in order to fulfill Israel’s war goals.” How did that happen? Sole power to invade Lebanon to destroy Israel placed in the hands of only two people? That’s stunning, to say the least. It will be quite interesting to see where things go from here.
IDF hits more than 100 loaded Hezbollah launchers in series of major Lebanon strikes
FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: The military said fighter jets had struck over 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon that were primed for immediate attacks on Israel. It said that in total, the launchers included around 1,000 launch barrels. Several buildings and a weapons depot belonging to Hezbollah were also struck in several areas of southern Lebanon, according to the military. The strikes began in the afternoon and were carried out in several waves.
“The IDF continues to damage and degrade the terror capabilities and military infrastructure of the Hezbollah terror organization,” the military added.
The major airstrikes came after a heavy barrage of rockets from Lebanon on northern communities, and as the Israeli defense establishment put preparations for a possible all-out war with Hezbollah into full gear. Eli Bin, head of the Magen David Adom rescue service, told the Ynet news site that he had received reports that an MDA station in Metula suffered a direct hit. There were no injuries reported, he said.
Earlier on Thursday, two IDF soldiers, Maj. (res.) Nael Fwarsy, 43, a logistics company commander from Maghar, and Sgt. Tomer Keren, 20, of the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, from Haifa, were killed in Hezbollah missile and drone attacks on northern Israel. Nine soldiers were also wounded in the attacks.
Also Thursday, as Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah delivered a televised address, vowing revenge on Israel for this week’s deadly wave of explosions of portable devices belonging to the terror group’s operatives in Lebanon and Syria, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant held a situational assessment on what he called “a new phase in the war.”
Gallant said that the IDF would continue strikes in Lebanon in order to fulfill the newly officialized war goal of returning displaced northern residents to their homes. READ MORE

This administration’s awareness of these orchestrated efforts to undermine President Trump is evident.
The deep state continues its relentless pressure campaign to prevent him from reclaiming the presidency.
For those who believe in transparent governance and accountability, this is a wake-up call: The real battle is not just at the ballot box but against an unseen force that seeks to control and manipulate the American government.
The question is not whether we can handle the truth – but whether the people will act on it before it’s too late.

Nasrallah also said that what we witnessed this week was a “declaration of war” by Israel…
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah declared Israel’s surprise pager and handheld radio attacks a “declaration of war” and dared the Jewish state to invade Lebanon. As he spoke, Israeli forces carpet bombed the terror group’s strongholds.
In a televised address Thursday, Nasrallah acknowledged that Hezbollah “received a heavy, painful blow,” saying that Israel’s decision to detonate scores of pagers and other electronic devices earlier this week amounted to “a major aggression” that will not go unanswered.

And of course that would be an accurate assessment of the current state of affairs.

In a statement Wednesday, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the “center of gravity” in the Israel-Hamas war was moving north to Lebanon. He said more military units and resources were being sent to the border.
“This is not Hamas − we’re dealing with something different, and we need to prepare accordingly,” he said.
I know that the Biden administration is still pushing for peace, but U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his minions are extremely incompetent.
And Hezbollah has already stated that there will be no peace as long as the IDF is fighting in Gaza. On Thursday, Hezbollah continued to fire at targets inside northern Israel…

Firstly, it is being reported that the pagers and walkie-talkies that exploded this week were actually made by shell companies that had been set up by the Israelis…
The Israeli secret service didn’t just tamper with the deadly Hezbollah pagers — they made them from scratch, having set up a complex web of shell companies across Europe, it was claimed today.
Initially it was suspected that Mossad had managed to intercept and plant tiny bombs in a shipment of the pagers headed for the Iranian-backed terror group in Lebanon after thousands of people were injured and dozens killed.
But now it appears that the Israelis set up front companies across Europe to manufacture the pagers themselves, embedding small amounts of PETN explosive inside, ready to be detonated by a coded message.
In particular, the New York Times is telling us that the pagers that exploded came from a Hungarian company that had been purposely set up to sell electronic equipment to Hezbollah…
A report Thursday alleged that a Hungarian firm that apparently supplied pagers used by Hezbollah was secretly set up by Israeli spies as part of a widescale operation that appeared to culminate this week when the devices exploded, killing several and maiming thousands of Hezbollah operatives and others in Lebanon and Syria.
The New York Times claimed that rather than merely managing to tamper with the devices at some stage of their production or distribution, Israel actually “manufactured them as part of an elaborate ruse.”
On the other side, the Iranians have apparently been attempting to assassinate Benjamin Netanyahu and other top Israeli officials…

Many will cheer the death and destruction, but the truth is that we should all grieve for every precious soul that passes into eternity.
Sadly, there is no way out now.
War is here, and it will soon escalate to a level that will shock the entire planet.

How the Church can recognize abuse and save lives
For the sake of the flow of this article, I will be primarily referring to the abuser as male and victim as female, but abuse is used by both genders.
Domestic violence is not always easily recognized, even for the survivor of the abuse, and especially when the abuse is not physical or sexual in nature. But there are warning signs individuals can look for in suspected abusers.
Before I began my work in domestic violence recovery and awareness, these indicators were present in people I knew — I just didn’t recognize them. For instance, a woman I knew at church could never attend women’s Bible studies or go to women’s retreats because her husband refused to watch the children. It wasn’t until later I realized this was an isolation tactic.
As the Church, we have a responsibility to defend the weak and uphold the oppressed (Psalm 82:3-4, NIV). Recognizing a victim of abuse can be difficult, however, as the individual may not be truthful about the harm she is experiencing out of fear and safety concerns, and her abuser likely hides the abuse when around others. While you may not witness overt abuse occur, there are some behaviors you can listen for and observe that often indicate abuse, especially when several of these behaviors are present. By recognizing these common signs of abuse, you can save someone’s life.

California Police Raid Seizes Over 2,000 Memes | Babylon Bee
LONG BEACH, CA — In an immediate sign that Governor Gavin Newsom’s crackdown on memes is taking effect, the Long Beach Police Department announced that a special tactical unit executed a raid of a private residence today and seized over 2,000 memes.
The bust took place at an unsuspecting location, reportedly the home of what was described by neighbors as a nice, quiet family. In all, authorities seized over 2,000 of what a department spokesman categorized as “pure, uncut memes.”
“This is a historic day and a historic bust,” said Long Beach Police Sargeant Ray Thorson. “Governor Newsom made it very clear that this trash has no business being out on the streets. We received a tip from one of the neighbors that someone in this residence was engaging in illegal meming. We executed a search warrant and quickly discovered the largest meme stockpile any of us had seen.”
Witnesses on the scene said one rookie officer ran out of the home vomiting after seeing the memes. “He was horrified,” a police insider said. “He’s clearly not used to seeing humor of this caliber. You just never expect to find this stuff in a calm, suburban neighborhood. There are families that live around here. Kids play in the streets. And inside, you find this type of dangerous material. It’s disturbing.”
At publishing time, officers had transported multiple cases of memes to police headquarters for analysis, with Sergeant Thorson declining to comment on whether this may lead to taking down a much larger internet meming cartel.

Jan Markell: The World Is Living On Borrowed Time | Terry James
When 2024 dawned, now so many months ago, very few could have seen the turmoil that lay ahead. It’s just as well. Only God can handle foreknowledge, and since He knows the end from the beginning, nothing catches Him by surprise. He doesn’t orchestrate chaos, but He allows it so that we can have wake-up calls and keep eternity in perspective.
I want to highlight just five scenarios that are what I believe to be turning points in this present year. To a certain degree, they take one’s breath away.
Death Is Celebrated
The believer loves life and wants to enjoy it forever—and will in a heavenly home. Our number one job is to find as many people as possible who can take this journey with us. We choose life, which culminates in eternal life. At the August Democrat National Convention, very few chose life.
Abortion was glorified. With a carnival-like atmosphere, people were encouraged to make themselves extinct by sacrificing children on all sorts of platforms! A mobile abortion clinic awaited in the parking lot of the DNC. A dozen baby lives were exterminated on the spot.
The lunacy was staggering with people walking around like they were a birth control pill or an IUD. Clearly, it was demonic. Who could have imagined?
Presidential Candidates Removed
The summer of 2024 saw both presidential candidates removed, although one survived an assassination attempt, and as of late summer, he is still running for president. The point is, the globalists want to install their candidate for their end-time purposes.
They are pressing on towards their one-world government and agenda. Certain people are in the way. God controls the timing of their success but they haven’t figured that out. They are always in a hurry, but they can’t run ahead of God’s time frame.
Lauding Paganism—Announcing the Antichrist
The 2024 Olympics in Paris celebrated hedonism, paganism, and debauchery, and took an unspeakable swipe at the Lord Jesus Christ. The recent Olympics may be the greatest globalist extravaganza ever. This year’s event made believers glad that we are secure in the love of God and His plan for the end of the age. Christians who are aware of the Olympic antics are righteously indignant at the attack God got on the global stage. Mocking the Lord’s Supper set a new level of indignation towards the One who created the universe and spared humanity from sin’s consequences.
Clearly, this event was announcing the Antichrist, who hasn’t actually shown up yet because this isn’t his time! But symbolically, he rode in on a white horse. Again, could you have anticipated such an outrage?
Israel is Being Set Up
She is being betrayed, even by once strong supporters in Washington D.C. She is isolated and viewed as a burdensome stone (Zechariah 12:3). Almost everyone Israel trusts lets her down. She will drop her guard one more time when the Antichrist comes along to sweep her off her feet.
But the set-up is in process. When she was attacked on October 7, 2023, a natural response would have been global support. Just the opposite happened. Global antisemitism enveloped the entire world. It has been so stunning one could not have perceived this level of hate that is actually unique to the 1930s and sadly, to this modern generation.
College campuses, marches, and demonstrations globally have reignited the Nazi passion to “gas the Jews.” Again, it has been breathtaking, and the panorama is set to further explode this fall and winter. Jews have been reprogrammed in recent months to run and hide.
The Gog-Magog Players are Ready
Four of the five major participants to the Russian invasion of Israel, also known as Gog-Magog, are flexing their muscles today. Russia, Iran, and Turkey have united in very recent years with an early foreshadowing of Ezekiel 38-39.
Sudan is engaged in a brutal civil war but has Russian soldiers throughout the African country. She could easily participate in the taking of a “spoil” in Israel as outlined in Ezekiel’s passage. Israel’s wealth would be a great relief to impoverished Sudan. And the brutal Sudanese regime would rather steal it than produce it.
I have just outlined five scenarios that have serious consequences and a biblical reference. In a sense, no previous generation has observed this kind of alignment and convergence in these areas. Once again, who could have imagined? Really, no one. And there are so many more.
Time is short, friends. The world is living on borrowed time.
