There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 CORINTHIANS 2:11
The devil is declared in the Scriptures to be an enemy of God and of all good men. Because he is a spirit he is able to “walk up and down in the earth” at his pleasure. While we must not underestimate the strength of our foe, we must at the same time recognize that we need not live in constant fear of him! If he cannot make skeptics of us he will make us devil-conscious and thus throw a permanent shadow across our lives, for there is but a hairline between truth and superstition.
We should learn the truth about the enemy, but we must stand bravely against every superstitious notion he would introduce about himself. The truth will set us free but superstition will enslave us!
The scriptural way to see things is to set the Lord always before us, put Christ in the center of our vision; and if Satan is lurking around he will appear on the margin only and be seen as but a shadow on the edge of the brightness. It is always wrong to invert this—to set Satan in the focus of our vision and push God out to the margin. Nothing but tragedy can come from such inversion!
The best way to keep the enemy out is to keep Christ in! The sheep need not be terrified by the wolf; they have but to stay close to the shepherd. The instructed Christian whose faculties have been developed by the Word and the Spirit will practice the presence of God moment by moment!1
My soul! as the prophet had his commission from the Lord, to go unto the house of the Rechabites, and the Holy Ghost hath been pleased to have the event of the visit recorded, do thou go down to it also, and see what instructions thou canst gather there, under his gracious teachings, for thine evening meditation. The house of the Rechabites drank no wine. And was not this to intimate the law of the Nazarites? Surely there was an allusion, in this prohibition, to the one glorious Nazarite, even Jesus! The Rechabites had no fixed dwelling-place, but lived in movable tents! and believers in Jesus, like their Lord himself, have “here no abiding city, but are seeking one to come.” Hence, when the king of Babylon came into the land where the Rechabites had no fixed abode, they had no attachment to the place, and therefore the more readily took their departure. Such, my soul, will be the case with thee, in the land where thou art but a stranger, if, as a stranger and a pilgrim, “thou abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; and set thine affections upon things above, and not on things of the earth!” Oh! how truly blessed to have no ties, no clogs, no impediments, to fasten down the soul; but “when the Assyrian cometh up into the land, this man, this” God-man, Christ Jesus, “is our peace.” (Micah 5:5.) My soul! ponder well this sweet view of the house of the Rechabites, and mark the Lord’s observation concerning them: They obeyed Jonadab their father, in all their abstinence and movements. The precept for this obedience, it should seem, was but once given, and the motive to it had no reward, either in dwelling-places here or hereafter. But with thee, my soul, all that thy God and Father hath enjoined thee concerning his dear Son, he hath again and again held forth; as he saith himself, “rising early and speaking, he hath sent all his servants, the prophets,” as if entreating an attention to what must make for thy present peace and everlasting happiness. Oh! how truly blessed, like the house of the Rechabites, to sit loose and detached from earth and earthly things, and to be viewing Jesus in all, and enjoying Jesus in all. Go, my soul, go down frequently to the house of the Rechabites, that there the Lord may cause thee to hear his word!1
Mark the grand characteristic of true prayer—“In the Holy Ghost.” The seed of acceptable devotion must come from heaven’s storehouse. Only the prayer which comes from God can go to God. We must shoot the Lord’s arrows back to him. That desire which he writes upon our heart will move his heart and bring down a blessing, but the desires of the flesh have no power with him.
Praying in the Holy Ghost is praying in fervency. Cold prayers ask the Lord not to hear them. Those who do not plead with fervency, plead not at all. As well speak of lukewarm fire as of lukewarm prayer—it is essential that it be red hot. It is praying perseveringly. The true suppliant gathers force as he proceeds, and grows more fervent when God delays to answer. The longer the gate is closed, the more vehemently does he use the knocker, and the longer the angel lingers the more resolved is he that he will never let him go without the blessing. Beautiful in God’s sight is tearful, agonizing, unconquerable importunity. It means praying humbly, for the Holy Spirit never puffs us up with pride. It is his office to convince of sin, and so to bow us down in contrition and brokenness of spirit. We shall never sing Gloria in excelsis except we pray to God De profundis: out of the depths must we cry, or we shall never behold glory in the highest. It is loving prayer. Prayer should be perfumed with love, saturated with love—love to our fellow saints, and love to Christ. Moreover, it must be a prayer full of faith. A man prevails only as he believes. The Holy Spirit is the author of faith, and strengthens it, so that we pray believing God’s promise. O that this blessed combination of excellent graces, priceless and sweet as the spices of the merchant, might be fragrant within us because the Holy Ghost is in our hearts! Most blessed Comforter, exert thy mighty power within us, helping our infirmities in prayer.1
AFTER the supper was over our Lord addressed his disciples in language full of loving concern for them. He knew that his absence would greatly distress them, and therefore he poured forth a stream of consolations. How many thousands of tried believers have been comforted by these gracious words? All Scripture is as a garden of sweet flowers, but this passage may be compared to the rose, for its marvellous beauty and sweetness.
John 14:1–14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (Though I die do not doubt me, rest in your Saviour as you do in your God.)
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (His absence would not grieve them if they remembered the errand on which he was gone. We may well spare the bodily presence of Jesus from this world now that we know he has gone to prepare our eternal resting place.)
3, 4 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there may ye be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? (Probably his notion was that our Lord would go to Nazareth or Galilee or some remote place to be anointed king, and prepare places for his followers, and therefore in his cool, thoughtful, practical way he sought for information. He did not know that the Lord referred to his return to glory.)
6, 7 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had ‘known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Here another good disciple betrayed his ignorance, he had not yet grasped the idea of the essential union of the Father and the Son.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (Till the Spirit of God illuminates the mind we learn little even from the best of teachers. God was in Christ most evidently, and yet Philip did not perceive it.)
10, 11 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. (What meaning can there be in these words if Jesus be not Divine, and one with the Father? No clearer statement of his Godhead could be given.)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
As God, the Lord Jesus not only had infinite power in himself, but he was able to delegate it to others. His apostles wrought great miracles, and his believing disciples worked mighty spiritual works, so that more converts were brought to the faith by their testimony, than were called by the personal ministry of the Lord himself; and this, because through the Lord’s ascension into glory the Spirit of God was more fully given.
13, 14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. (“Good prayers,” says Bishop Hall, “never come weeping home. I am sure that I shall receive either what I ask or what I should ask.” If the best of blessings are to be had for the asking, he who will not ask deserves to go without.)
Jeremiah 14:11-12 — There is no hope for deliverance when God has told me not to pray, especially if He doesn’t accept my fasting or sacrifice. Jeremiah could pray, but God said He would already protect him (Jeremiah 15:11). Jeremiah was prevented, however, from interceding for those that had knowledge of God but rejected Him.
Jeremiah 14:14 — What was the punishment for prophets who prophesied lies? Death (Deuteronomy 18:20)!
Jeremiah 14:17 — The Weeping Prophet again has his eyes running with tears night and day.
Jeremiah 15:1 — Moses interceded for Israel in Exodus 32:12-14 and Deuteronomy 9:13-14. Samuel interceded for Israel in I Samuel 7:5-11. But God says the time of intercession is over. Tragically, God allowed Abraham to intercede for Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 18:22-33. Abraham could beg for mercy for those who had not heard, but Jeremiah could not now intercede for those who heard and rejected.
Jeremiah 15:16 — Is God’s Word the joy and rejoicing of your heart? If not, are you called by Christ’s name?
Jeremiah 16:2 — Interesting the role of God in determining our wives. Jeremiah was denied a wife. Hosea was given a prostitute for a wife (Hosea 1:2). Adam didn’t have a choice about his wife (Genesis 2:22). God doesn’t necessarily want us married or single, but obedient to Him. Even if we are married, God wants us to be Christlike first. I just started reading a great book on this topic: Discovering the Mind of a Woman (Spoiler alert – it starts with being Christlike!).
This is a “spiritual application” from this passage. As we come back now to the “technical interpretation” of the passage notice in verses 13-15 that the Lord speaks of scattering the Jews across the world, casting them out of their land to places they knew not, where they would serve other gods and the Lord would show them no favor.
Verse 14 reveals that the day will come when the Jews will not speak of the “Exodus” at the Passover Seder, as is the custom, but instead will talk about how the Lord brought them from the “land of the north” verse 15, and all the lands where they had been scattered for the last 2,000 years.
This prophecy is being fulfilled even today as we witness over one million Jews from Russia, the “land to the north,” immigrating into Israel. There are Jews who have come from over one hundred nations of the world, back into the land as Jeremiah said they would do in the last days.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 — The Word of God is effectually working! It’s time to unleash it! As Charles Spurgeon said, “Defend the Bible? I would as soon defend a lion! Unchain it and it will defend itself.”
1 Thessalonians 3:10 — Wednesday night prayer meetings used to be a fixture at many churches, but now many of those meetings have fallen by the wayside. Perhaps the prayers go long, and people feel it has become routine. Imagine being at a prayer meeting with Paul!
Psalm 80:4 — Yes, our sin can block God hearing our prayer, as we saw earlier in Jeremiah 14:11. But God will hear us if we repent (1 John 1:9).
Proverbs 25:5 — Maybe you’re not one of the 15 remaining kings on earth, but if you’re a child of God, the Scripture says you can reign with Christ (Matthew 19:28, 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 3:21). How should you behave as a king? Take away the wickedness from your life! How do you find the wickedness? Ask God to search your heart (Psalm 139:23-24)!

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.Mark 9:23
Our unbelief is the greatest hindrance in our way; in fact, there is no other real difficulty as to our spiritual progress and prosperity. The Lord can do everything; but when He makes a rule that according to our faith so shall it be unto us, our unbelief ties the hands of His omnipotence.
Yes, the confederacies of evil shall be scattered if we can but believe. Despised truth shall lift its head if we will but have confidence in the God of truth. We can bear our load of trouble or pass uninjured through the waves of distress if we can gird our loins with the girdle of peace, that girdle which is buckled on by the hands of trust.
What can we not believe? Is everything possible except believing in God? Yet He is always true; why do we not believe in Him? He is always faithful to His word; why can we not trust Him? When we are in a right state of heart, faith costs no effort: it is then as natural for us to rely upon God as for a child to trust his father.
The worst of it is that we can believe God about everything except the present pressing trial. This is folly. Come, my soul, shake off such sinfulness, and trust thy God with the load, the labor, the longing of this present. This done, all is done.
Can we lose our salvation? We’ll explore two interpretations—one suggesting the passage refers to unbelievers exposed to biblical truth but not fully committed to faith in Jesus Christ, and another proposing a hypothetical scenario about true believers and the impossibility of them falling away. We’ll discuss key phrases like “enlightened,” “tasted the heavenly gift,” and “shared in the Holy Spirit,” and what they mean in different contexts. This video is essential for anyone interested in Christian doctrine, the security of eternal salvation, and deeper scripture meanings. Don’t miss this enlightening discussion that reaffirms the everlasting nature of our salvation in Christ. Click play to strengthen your understanding of the Christian faith.

The Die Has Been Cast’: There is No Going Back From What Iran Set Into Motion On October 7th without warning, Iran’s terrorist proxy Hamas, in a well-planned surprise attack, murdered, raped, and assaulted civilians, taking captive hundreds of innocent people. This was not a declaration of war; this was a declaration that when uncivilized people are propagandized long enough, they become the willing tools of demonic barbarian slaughter. My prayer is that Israel will not hesitate to strike Iran. Israel must cut off the head of the snake. What governments in the US, UK, and France did not count on was the support for Israel’s right to exist and defend itself among their citizenries.
Hurricane Milton is a Category 5. Florida orders evacuations and scrambles to clear Helene’s debris Florida’s storm-battered Gulf Coast raced against a Category 5 hurricane Monday as workers sprinted to pick up debris left over from Helene two weeks ago and highways were clogged with people fleeing ahead of the storm. less than two weeks after Helene … “We lost all our cars, all our furniture. The first floor was completely destroyed,” Marunchak said. “This is the oddest weather predicament that there has ever been.”
Hamas launches missiles barrage towards central Israel Sirens sounded Monday morning in central Israel after a barrage of missiles was launched from Gaza. Among the cities where sirens sounded were Holon, Rishon Lezion, Gedera’s industrial zone, Kfar Chabad, Tel Aviv, and Bat Yam. According to reports, five launches were identified crossing from Gaza into central Israel. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams are searching the areas where missile strikes were reported. Two people were lightly injured by shrapnel
Florida’s New Evacuation May Be Biggest in 7 Years Hurricane Milton is headed straight for Florida this week on the heels of Hurricane Helene, and it may force the largest number of evacuations in seven years, reports the Washington Post. In fact, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri warned Sunday that authorities would be “more assertive” about getting people out of mandatory evacuation zones. “I don’t want to hear 1,500 calls coming over this radio where people are pleading for help and we can’t get to you,” he said.
South Carolina Schedules Execution for Nov. 1 South Carolina’s Supreme Court has scheduled the execution of Richard Moore for November 1, marking the second of six expected executions in a six-month period, following a 13-year hiatus from capital punishment in the state. Moore was convicted of killing a store clerk, James Mahoney, during a 1999 robbery in Spartanburg County. His defense team argues that his execution would be an “arbitrary act of vengeance” due to racial discrimination, as Moore, who is Black, was judged by an all-white jury.
Musk Takes a Leap Into Trump Rallies he told the Trump supporters to register to vote, flipping an opposition argument to cast Democrats as a threat to democracy. “President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution,” Musk said. “He must win to preserve democracy in America.” “The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech,” Musk said. “They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote, effectively.”
Third IDF division joins fighting in Lebanon On Sunday, the soldiers of the 91st Division began localized and targeted operational activity in southern Lebanon. After almost a year of operational activity in the northern arena and in the Gaza Strip, over the past two weeks, reserve brigades have been called up to train and improve readiness.
Pope Francis’ newest cardinal has a SHOCKING LGBT record Father Timothy Radcliffe, O.P., a Synod on Synodality preacher and LGBT advocate, will be among the 21 new cardinals created by Pope Francis at a consistory on December 8. Radcliffe has openly opposed the Church’s ban on seminarians with “homosexual tendencies,” suggested that Catholics should “accompany” homosexuals by “reading gay novels,” and was one of the regular celebrants for the “LGBT Masses” held in London.
100 Israeli jets carry out wave of 120 airstrikes in southern Lebanon within 60 minutes One hundred Israeli fighter jets struck over 120 Hezbollah targets across southern Lebanon during one large flight within the span of 60 minutes, Israel Defense Forces announced on Monday evening. Sinwar’s former interrogator says, ‘He is a danger to the world … the only solution is to kill him’ Shin Bet agent Michael Koubi, who interrogated Yahya Sinwar for 180 hours, said the Hamas leader would never make peace with Israel and “the only solution is to kill him.” Koubi recalled his first impression of the October 7th mastermind who was imprisoned in 1989 for torturing and killing Palestinians on suspicion of collaborating with Israel’s military. “I saw a man with murderous eyes, filled with nothing but hate,” Koubi said.
Qatari officials claim Sinwar is still alive and is in contact with them Several media sources, including Al-Arabiya and the Daily Mail, claim that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is alive and has renewed communication with Qatari mediators. This claim is at odds with a recent Jerusalem Post report that a senior Qatari official said Sinwar never had direct communication with Qatari mediators, and that hostage deal and ceasefire negotiations were through senior Hamas political figure Khalil al-Hayah, not Sinwar.
Hamas spokesman: US aid to Israel will end in the future In a pre-recorded video clip posted on Hamas’ Telegram channels in honor of the first anniversary of the October 7 massacre, Abu Obaydah said that Hamas would “continue the lengthy war of attrition, which will cost Israel a heavy price if it continues with its aggression.”
Hurricane Milton is a Category 5. Yucatán Peninsula in path of extremely dangerous Category 5 Hurricane “Milton” — Florida braces for major impact on Wednesday Hurricane “Milton” rapidly intensified into a Category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale at 15:55 UTC on October 7, 2024, making it the strongest Gulf of Mexico hurricane this late in the calendar year in the satellite era (since 1966). Milton is forecast to move near or just north of the Yucatán Peninsula today and Tuesday, then cross the eastern Gulf of Mexico and approach the west coast of the Florida Peninsula by Wednesday.

The event was analyzed to have originated from a piece of a Jupiter family comet.
Now Meat Processing Plants Are Targeted To Shut Down Another attack on our food. This time it seems that meat processors are the next target. Meat and poultry prices have skyrocketed in recent years. We’ve seen beef and veal prices increasing for six straight months and are predicted to keep rising. Now, the EPA is creating new rules for meat processors, which could put a lot of them out of business, causing job losses and supply chain issues.
FBI Warns of High Threat of Terror Attack in the US Today: ‘Be Aware of Your Surroundings On the anniversary of the day Israel wept, the FBI is warning Americans that terrorism may come to the United States. Monday marks one year to the day since Hamas terrorists left parts of southern Israel the scene of death and human atrocities. It also marks one year since Israel launched its campaign to bring down Hamas, a military effort that has since morphed to include Hezbollah to Israel’s north.
These Are Indeed ‘Days Of Awe’ In Israel The seventh month of the Hebrew calendar begins the Jewish civil new year, starting with three high holy days — Rosh Hashana (the Feast of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles). The days from Rosh Hashana to Yom Kippur are known as the “Ten Days of Repentance,” or “Days of Awe.” It is a time of reflection and fasting.
They Are Lying To You About Hurricane Helene Authorities are telling the mainstream media that only a few hundred people died, and so that is what the mainstream media is telling us. But those who are on the ground in the areas that got hit the hardest are telling us a completely different story. For example, one woman in Asheville, North Carolina says that thousands of people are missing and that there are still “bodies hanging from trees they haven’t gotten to yet.”
Is Israel Going To Try To “End” The Current Regime In Iran? Most people in the Western world have no idea how serious the situation in the Middle East has become. I have been using the word “existential” to describe this conflict because, ultimately, this is a war for all the marbles. Both sides are willing to do whatever it takes to win, and both sides are absolutely determined to utterly crash their enemies. Needless to say, Iran has been promising to wipe Israel off the map for a long time, and now some Israeli politicians are openly talking about regime change in Iran.
Hurricane Helene: A case of state-sponsored murder Was Hurricane Helene caused by weather manipulation so the Government can grab the land from citizens? If so, why? As Dr. Peter and Ginger Breggin wrote: “Untold potential for riches are there for the taking in the mountains of Appalachia. The Americans living in the mountains are the only barrier. Murder always happens for a reason.”
“As there is a degree of depravity in mankind which requires a certain degree of circumspection and distrust: So there are other qualities in human nature, which justify a certain portion of esteem and confidence. Republican government presupposes the existence of these qualities in a higher degree than any other form.” —James Madison (1788)

Kamala Harris skirts questions on “historic flood” of migrants three times, whiffs on economic policy answer in tense “60 Minutes” interview (NY Post)
Kamala smears DeSantis in an effort to look presidential: Was this an attempt to spin the negative news surrounding the Biden-Harris administration’s lackluster response to the Hurricane Helene disaster? Kamala Harris was asked about a report from NBC News that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been ignoring her calls. Harris’s answer demonstrates that this whole claim was a setup. “You know, moments of crisis, if nothing else, should really be the moment that anyone who calls themselves a leader says they’re going to put politics aside and put the people first,” she said. “People are in desperate need of support right now. And playing political games … it’s just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish, and it is about political gamesmanship instead of doing the job that you took an oath to do, which is to put the people first.” However, it appears it is Harris who is guilty of playing political gamesmanship. When questioned about not taking the vice president’s calls, DeSantis answered, “I didn’t know that she had called. I’m not sure who they called. They didn’t call me.”
KJP storms out of briefing room after accusing reporter of spreading “misinformation” about Hurricane Helene response (NY Post)
CBS brass upset that its journalist did journalism: In an interview on CBS, race hustler Ta-Nehisi Coates was asked about his latest book, The Message, based on his 10-day trip to the West Bank last year. In the book, Coates unsurprisingly labels Israel as racist. CBS’s Tony Dokoupil pressed Coates on his take, noting that his failure to take into account the myriad instances of terrorist attacks that Israel has suffered at the hands of Palestinian militants reminded him of the one-sided rhetoric of anti-Israel extremists. Indeed, astoundingly, Coates never mentions Hamas or Hezbollah in his book. Well, pressing Coates on this radical view didn’t sit well with the CBS brass or a number of staffers. The outfit responded to the controversy by apologizing, effectively throwing Dokoupil under the bus. CBS News chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford argued that Dokoupil had done nothing wrong and was simply doing his job as a journalist, but CBS effectively doubled down on its apology by inviting a DEI trauma trainer to mitigate the situation within the organization. That’s what you get for seeking the truth in the Leftmedia.
Elizabeth Warren uses October 7 anniversary to accuse Netanyahu of “unthinkable violence on innocent civilians” (Washington Free Beacon)
Dem strategist goes haywire about “Nazi” Trump: On the topic of criminal illegals, Trump recently said, “We have a lot of bad genes in our country right now.” Predictably, CNN anchor John Berman seized on the comment, asking Democrat strategist Aisha Mills about it. “We have long known that Donald Trump has revered the Nazis,” she said. “He has revered Hitler, he’s read his book, used to say he had it on his nightstand. … And when he uses language like this, I don’t think that it’s a Freudian slip. I think that the danger of a Donald Trump is that he would absolutely try to exterminate an entire group of people because he thinks that their genes are somehow different than his own body.” This is an odd prediction given that Trump has already had four years in office and didn’t go Full or even Partial Hitler on us.

Bout is the blowback from a bad Biden hostage deal: As The Wall Street Journal reports, “Viktor Bout, the Russian arms dealer known as the ‘Merchant of Death,’ walked out of a U.S. prison almost two years ago in a trade with Moscow for U.S. basketball star Brittney Griner. Now he is back in business, trying to broker the sale of small arms to Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militants.” Imagine that. The 57-year-old Bout has plenty of life left in him, and he seemed to have gone legit when he joined “a pro-Kremlin far-right party and won a seat in a local assembly in 2023.” But you know what they say about merchants of death: they’re merchants. Of death. True to form, when Houthi terrorists went to Moscow in August to buy $10 million worth of death-dealing weaponry, there was Victor Bout. The Team Biden-Harris response? No comment.
Harris won’t meet Putin to end Ukraine war: Asked by CBS News’s Bill Whitaker about our spectacularly bloody and costly proxy war with Russia — a war whose belligerents should’ve been brought to the table long ago — Kamala Harris said she wouldn’t meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to his war with Ukraine unless the latter was included in those talks. “Ukraine must have a say in the future of Ukraine,” she was told to say. Ukrainians are dying every day in service to the Biden-Harris administration’s negotiating stance. For good measure, Harris said that if Trump were still in office, “Putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now.” But this doesn’t pass the giggle test. If Donald Trump were still in office, Putin would never have attacked Ukraine in the first place. Remember: Putin took back Soviet land under George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. But he didn’t dare try while Trump was president.

Good news in Georgia and Texas: On Monday, the Georgia Supreme Court reinstated that state’s heartbeat bill known as the LIFE Act, which effectively bans abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, the point at which a preborn baby develops a heartbeat. The decision reverses a lower court, which recently ruled the law unconstitutional. Also on Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a motion by the Biden-Harris administration to appeal a Texas law that protects emergency room doctors from having to perform abortions. The Court also left in place a lower-court ruling that stopped the Biden-Harris administration’s requirement that emergency rooms provide abortions. Following SCOTUS’s overturning of Roe v. Wade two years ago, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a new rule to the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), which required hospitals to provide abortions. Since the EMTALA “is silent” on abortion, U.S. District Judge James Wesley Hendrix ruled, “the Guidance cannot answer how doctors should weigh risks to both a mother and her unborn child. Nor can it, in doing so, create a conflict with state law where one does not exist.”
Toyota dumps Rainbow Mafia: There is a welcome and growing trend of businesses and corporations dumping DEI. The latest is Toyota, which recently announced it was no longer sponsoring the Rainbow Mafia. According to Robby Starbuck, Toyota — which has in the past sponsored a drag queen summer camp for kids, opposed state laws that banned gender-bending procedures on minors, openly supported the gender “equality act” that effectively allows transgender-identifying males to compete in female sports, and donated funds to support the promulgation of gender-bending ideology in schools — has decided to back off driving down this radical leftist road. Toyota will stop sponsoring LGBTQ events and instead “narrow our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness,” a company memo states. What a novel idea — an automaker focusing its efforts on those fields that help its future technological development rather than on pushing a socially divisive and destructive ideology.
Predictably, men pummel women 19-0: A slaughter on the soccer pitch might not seem like good news, but bear with us. This one, involving the blowout loss of a team of women pretending to be men at the hands feet of real men, gives a good stiff kick in the genitals to the Rainbow Mafiosi while at the same time reinforcing the natural order of things. As The Daily Caller reports, “A group of ‘trans men’ (that is, biological women trying but failing to become men) formed a soccer team in Spain to play in a league of all-male teams, and the results were about as lopsided as you’d expect. The team, Fenix FC (because the mythical avian creature represents ‘rebirth’), played its first game recently in the fifth tier of Spanish ‘football.’ They lost their first game by a score of 19-0.” That sounds more like a football score than a “football” score, but it helps make clear that women aren’t men and men aren’t women.
Is it possible that Joe Biden wants Kamala Harris to lose? A man like Scranton Joe doesn’t just let go of the trappings of the office easily or without bitterness. Ever the arrogant SOB, Biden could “accomplish” two things with Harris’s defeat: Remain the only guy to beat Donald Trump, and take revenge. He can stick it to the party to which he’s been nothing but slavishly loyal for 50 years after that party unceremoniously kicked him to the curb in favor of a woman he never liked or wanted as his running mate. After all, Democrats shivved him all while having the nerve to praise his selfless sacrifice amidst the Joy!™ of moving on from him.
I’ll show them, he must be thinking.
He created the perfect opportunity Friday. As The Spectator’s Ben Domenech notes, “Two minutes after Kamala Harris walked on stage at a campaign event in Detroit, Joe Biden decided to do something he has never done as president: he walked into the White House press briefing room.”
Rather than cover Harris’s rally, cable news stations diverted to the press briefing. Aside from the fact that he created the diversion in the first place, the key moment came via the last question about 13 minutes in. “Can you talk about how your vice president, who is running for the presidency, has worked on these crises and what role she has played over the past several days?” a reporter asked.
Biden replied:
Well, she’s — I’m in constant contact with her. She’s aware of where, uh, we’re — we all — we’re singing from the same song sheet. We, uh, she helped pass the l- — all the laws that are being employed now. She was a major player in everything we’ve done, including passage of, uh, legislation, which we were told we could never pass. And so, she’s been, uh — and her — her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we’re doing.
Dear Kamala, how do you like that anchor around your neck?
Biden may want to remain the only guy who’d beaten Trump, but the record of his four years in office likely meant he’d lose this November. Thus, Harris has been trying to have it both ways: She wants the credentials of having “led” as vice president while not being responsible for any of Biden’s results.
Not so fast, kid, he seemed to be saying. My record is your record. “Interlocked,” he said. “Same song sheet.”
Yet Biden can’t just go out there and endorse Trump by putting on a MAGA hat. Oh, wait…
Kidding aside, he still has to at least pretend to be a team player. That part came in his dire warning about political violence if Harris wins Trump loses.
Asked about whether he thought the election would be free, fair, and peaceful, he responded, “I’m confident it’ll be free and fair. I don’t know whether it will be peaceful.” Then he opined, “The things that Trump has said and the things that he said last time out when he didn’t like the outcome of the election were very dangerous. If you notice — I — I noticed that the vice presidential Republican candidate did not say he’d accept the outcome of the election. And they haven’t even accepted the outcome of the last election. So, I’m — I’m concerned about what they’re — what they’re going to do.”
Trump just survived two assassination attempts perpetrated by disaffected men inspired by hyperbolic leftist rhetoric about Trump’s supposed “threat to democracy.” If Trump is the existential threat Biden, Harris, and the rest keep saying he is, then crazy people like these two men think he must be eliminated.
Yet Biden keeps saying that Trump is a threat — that if he loses, things may get violent.
Clearly, Biden has a few things in mind. First, he justified his 2020 presidential bid on the Charlottesville lie that Trump complimented neo-Nazis as “very fine people.” He did no such thing, of course, but even a fact-check from Snopes hasn’t stopped Biden from continuing to claim it. He certainly can’t renege on his rationale for running.
Second, January 6 was violent. A few dozen overzealous Trump supporters did clash with police in a criminally disgraceful display that will always tarnish the conservative cause — not to mention the damage done to the tens of thousands of people there marching peacefully, hundreds of whom were arrested and tossed in the clink with the violent offenders. But Democrats can’t keep from lying about that day, either. Along with the second impeachment, they falsely claim police died and that, in Biden’s repeated formulation, it was “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”
Third is another unhinged lie — that Trump warned of a literal “bloodbath” if he lost. He was metaphorically speaking about the economy. Democrats and their Leftmedia propagandists know this but keep acting as if he was talking about political violence.
So, back to left-wing violence.
I already mentioned the two attempts on Trump’s life, but there’s more. Two examples: It was a radical leftist who tried to murder GOP members of Congress. It was leftist radicals who burned American cities after George Floyd’s death, killing scores of people amidst political violence in 2020 and generally causing the murder rate to skyrocket. Those riots dwarfed January 6.
Moreover, it is Joe Biden who has repeatedly threatened the American people. By his telling, you can’t retain your constitutional right to certain firearms he doesn’t like because you “need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons” if you want to take on his government.
Many people may scoff at the idea that Biden’s bluster constituted a real threat. Yet the Founders didn’t intend the Second Amendment primarily to protect hunters or even for self-defense. The same men who’d won independence in a war that began over attempted gun confiscation wrote that amendment precisely to guard against the tyranny of government that Biden flaunts as if it’s a virtue.
To Kamala Harris, Biden’s remarks probably feel like a slap in the face. She should ask Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff how that works out for women.

During his latest “My Take” on FOX Business’ “Varney & Co.,” Tuesday, Stuart Varney weighed in on the “serious” long-term effects of hurricanes and questioned the effectiveness of the federal government.
STUART VARNEY: The hurricanes Helene and Milton are first and foremost traumatizing events that shift the lives of millions of people.
In North Carolina, there’s a proposal to raise rates by an average [of] 42%. At a six-hour public hearing Monday, residents made clear they can’t pay. Same story in Florida — you’re prone to serious weather challenges, but you can’t afford to insure your home.
Property taxes are going to go up. Rebuilding and clearing the debris costs a lot of money.
Combine insurance with property taxes, and some states, like Florida, are no longer the affordable alternative to New York and New Jersey. It’s quite possible that the hurricane’s financial fallout will reverse the migration trend.
For years, the highly taxed people of Illinois, New Jersey and New York have de-camped to Florida. It still has no income tax, but insurance and already high home prices might make some think twice about heading south.
And then there is the political fallout. How effective was the federal government?
The New York Times reports this morning that FEMA has a staffing shortage. They don’t have all the people on the ground they need.
How come Lebanon gets it, but there’s not enough for Americans in crisis? When questioned about that, Karine Jean-Pierre stormed out of the press briefing.
It is the sheer scale of the disaster that vastly expands the problem. Helene was 800 miles wide! Milton may deliver a 15-to-20-foot storm surge. Both deliver rain that’s measured in feet. There’s no quick, cheap fix.
One last point: It is indeed a costly and traumatizing disaster, but what stands out is the way people came together. Helping each other.
It’s called community spirit, and it’s alive and well and living in America.
‘Journalism,’ said legendary CBS News anchorman Walter Cronkite, ‘is what we need to make democracy work. In seeking truth, you have to get both sides of a story.’

TAMPA, FL — FEMA announced this week they don’t have enough resources to block any outside humanitarian aid coming into Florida and surrounding states ahead of Hurricane Milton.
“It’s a shame, really,” FEMA Spokesman Randy Tarwater told the press. “We wish we had more money to construct quality blockades and hire the personnel needed to keep good samaritans from delivering life-saving aid to stranded residents. Unfortunately, the resources just aren’t there.”
FEMA announced the lack of funds this week after disclosing that the agency spent the majority of its money giving all illegal aliens $500 Target gift cards and free Honda Civics. With thousands of hurricane victims projected to receive aid from unauthorized rescuers, FEMA apologized for the oversight and vowed to make every effort to ensure that they would be the only ones to not deliver aid to hurricane victims.
“I was amazed how quickly I could get aid to these desperate people without FEMA there,” helicopter pilot Dan Egan said. “I wasn’t arrested or told to turn back. I rescued 15 people and delivered food to almost two hundred stranded residents. It was awesome!”
A FEMA spokesperson said all future federal funding for the agency would be allocated to hunt down and hold noble citizens like Egan accountable.
At publishing time, the Biden administration committed at least $576 additional dollars to help ensure every American resident affected by the devastating hurricanes gets the help they need.
