The Christian should always be aware that the devil’s master strategy against us is to destroy our power to wage spiritual warfare! And he has been succeeding, we must add.
The average Christian these days is a harmless enough thing, God knows. He is a child wearing with considerable self-consciousness the harness of the warrior; he is a sick eaglet that can never mount up with wings; he is a spent pilgrim who has given up the journey and sits with a waxy smile trying to get what pleasure he can from sniffing the wilted flowers he has plucked by the way.
Such as these have been reached! Satan has gotten to them early.
By means of false teaching or inadequate teaching, or the huge discouragement that comes from the example of a decadent church, he has succeeded in weakening their resolution, neutralizing their convictions and taming their original urge to do exploits; now they are little more than statistics that contribute financially to the upkeep of the religious institution.
There can be complete victory for us if we will but take the way of the triumphant Christ, but too many have accepted the low-keyed Christian life as the normal one. That is all Satan wants. That will ground our power, stunt our growth and render us harmless to the kingdom of darkness—and we sons of eternity just cannot afford such a thing!1
My soul! hast thou ever considered some of the many ways of softening trouble? Sit down, and learn it from this sweet scripture. Here is a general promise, which may be suited to particular circumstances, and such as will hold good in all. But first remember, that he who promiseth to deliver from the sorrow, is the same that appointeth the sorrow: “Hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.” The Lord’s rod hath a voice which speaks as well as corrects; and it is a mark of wisdom to listen as well as feel. Hence, if we mark the hand that appoints, we shall observe also all the other interesting particulars, both of the instruments by which the Lord works, the time and place, the means and end, and then discern love and grace, yea, Jesus himself, in all. Suppose it be the world that crosses, or Satan that tempts, or false friends that oppose, or our mother’s children that be angry with us; yet all are but the Lord’s ministers: they are the sword, but the hand is the Lord’s: and though they mean ill, he will bring good: if they even cast into prison, Jesus will be there. All things, and all means, and all times, shall, at his command, minister to his own purpose. If there be a storm without, Jesus hath chambers to take them into; if the affliction be within, Jesus can help them out. Yea, the very “earth shall help the woman,” when the enemy casts forth a flood after her, to swallow her up. Be the storm what it may, Jesus is at the helm. Like Joseph’s afflictions, they shall minister to good, and the end bring the proof, that the whole had the appointment in love. Hence, my soul, though the direction is short, it is very sweet. Never look at the trial, without looking also at the appointer. Never allow thyself to view the affliction, without looking through it to one that stands behind, regulating and moving all. It matters not in this case, what the storm threatens, but what the Lord Jesus means; not what the instrument intends, but what Jesus hath appointed. And by thus looking to Christ, the greatest troubles will give thee but little concern. He saith, (blessed be his name!) “I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.” How it is to be accomplished, is his concern, and not mine. All I have to do is to rest in the certainty of the promise, by giving credit to the great promiser; and the end will show, that with him it is to make “darkness light, and crooked things straight.”1
Every firstborn creature must be the Lord’s, but since the ass was unclean, it could not be presented in sacrifice. What then? Should it be allowed to go free from the universal law? By no means. God admits of no exceptions. The ass is his due, but he will not accept it; he will not abate the claim, but yet he cannot be pleased with the victim. No way of escape remained but redemption—the creature must be saved by the substitution of a lamb in its place; or if not redeemed, it must die. My soul, here is a lesson for thee. That unclean animal is thyself; thou art justly the property of the Lord who made thee and preserves thee, but thou art so sinful that God will not, cannot, accept thee; and it has come to this, the Lamb of God must stand in thy stead, or thou must die eternally. Let all the world know of thy gratitude to that spotless Lamb who has already bled for thee, and so redeemed thee from the fatal curse of the law. Must it not sometimes have been a question with the Israelite which should die, the ass or the lamb? Would not the good man pause to estimate and compare? Assuredly there was no comparison between the value of the soul of man and the life of the Lord Jesus, and yet the Lamb dies, and man the ass is spared. My soul, admire the boundless love of God to thee and others of the human race. Worms are bought with the blood of the Son of the Highest! Dust and ashes redeemed with a price far above silver and gold! What a doom had been mine had not plenteous redemption been found! The breaking of the neck of the ass was but a momentary penalty, but who shall measure the wrath to come to which no limit can be imagined? Inestimably dear is the glorious Lamb who has redeemed us from such a doom.1
THE Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. (The men who could commit this murder without shame were, nevertheless, great sticklers for every point of ceremony, whatever cruelty it might involve. This proves that rites and ceremonies leave men as bad as they find them. Romanists, with a thousand pompous performances, yet rejoiced in the burning of pious men and women, and invented racks and tortures for them. Let this teach us to mind most the spiritual requirements of the gospel, and remember that the religion which does not change the heart and teach us to be merciful is good for nothing.)

(The two secret but true followers of our Lord now came out in their true colours. The cross is the great revealer of the thoughts of men’s hearts. 40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.

Matthew 27:62–66
NOW the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
Their jealous hatred led them to mar their own Sabbath and Passover by appeals to a heathen ruler. Little did they know of that spiritual Sabbath-keeping, which makes us lay aside our cares and even our own thoughts upon the hallowed day of rest.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
Thus, unwittingly, helping to secure testimony for the resurrection such as none could gainsay. It was now impossible for his body to be stolen, and if he came forth it must be by supernatural power. Oh, blind Jews, thus to ensure their own confusion! Blinder yet are they who believe that Jesus rose, and yet do not put their trust in him.1
Jeremiah 30:9 — Why does God bring up the time of “Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7)? So that they may serve the LORD! God is planning on bringing King David back? Since that was not fulfilled after the exile, Jeremiah 30:3 must refer to another event. Between Abraham (2166 BC) and today (2023 AD) we see three major separations of the Jewish people from the land:
Captivity – 1876 BC (entrance into Egypt under Joseph) until 1446 BC (Exodus under Moses). This occurred under the Dispensation of Promise/Covenant.
Exile – The Fall of the Northern Kingdom of Israel in 722 BC to Sargon and the Fall of Southern Kingdom of Judah in 586 BC to Nebuchadnezzar until the returns led by Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah. This occurred under the Dispensation of Law.
Diaspora – Starting with the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 until the modern Aliyah starting in 1882 and intensifying in 1948 with the formation of the modern state of Israel.
Did any ruler after the Exile time count as “King David?” The Hasmonean dynasty was an independent kingdom for only 50 years (110-63 BC) until it succumbed to the Roman Empire. Herod the Great wasn’t “King David” – he was an Edomite! This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled! In our day we are seeing Israel and Judah returning to the land (Jeremiah 30:3), making Aliyah even today! Unfortunately, they have not returned to serve the LORD; approximately 67% of Israeli Jews identify as secular atheist. Pray with Paul that Israel will be saved (Romans 10:1)!
Jeremiah 30:22 — We talked yesterday that it is good (and even commanded!) to be involved in political campaigns – to seek the good of the land. But how much better would it be to know that our leader is not a mere politician, but He’s God! Note that most of the time in this chapter that He uses the word “LORD” to describe Himself and His relationship to us. But here in this verse He uses the word “God” – Elohim – the same word used to describe Himself as the Creator of the World (Genesis 1:1). Our ultimate Leader, my Father, is omnipotent!
Jeremiah 31:3 — God is not done with Israel! He loves them with an everlasting love!
Jeremiah 31:15 — We’re familiar with this verse from Matthew 2:17. But that’s not the only application. From Jamieson-Faussett-Brown:
In Benjamin, east of the great northern road, two hours’ journey from Jerusalem. Rachel, who all her life had pined for children (Ge 30:1), and who died with “sorrow” in giving birth to Benjamin (Ge 35:18, 19, Margin; 1Sa 10:2), and was buried at Ramah, near Beth-lehem, is represented as raising her head from the tomb, and as breaking forth into “weeping” at seeing the whole land depopulated of her sons, the Ephraimites. Ramah was the place where Nebuzara-dan collected all the Jews in chains, previous to their removal to Babylon (Jer 40:1). God therefore consoles her with the promise of their restoration. Mt 2:17, 18 quotes this as fulfilled in the massacre of the innocents under Herod. “A lesser and a greater event, of different times, may answer to the single sense of one passage of Scripture, until the prophecy is exhausted” [Bengel]. Besides the temporary reference to the exiles in Babylon, the Holy Spirit foreshadowed ultimately Messiah’s exile in Egypt, and the desolation caused in the neighborhood of Rachel’s tomb by Herod’s massacre of the children, whose mothers had “sons of sorrow” (Ben-oni), just as Rachel had.

1 Timothy 2:4 — If God wants all men to be saved, how will He get His message to all men? Romans 10:14-15 reminds us that God is sending preachers; they just need to say, “Here I am, LORD. Send me (Isaiah 6)!”
1 Timothy 2:14 — Eve received bad information from Adam and the serpent. God told Adam not to eat of it (Genesis 2:17), but Eve who heard it second hand from Adam said that God had said not to touch it (Genesis 3:3). Interestingly, while the Serpent and Eve are having their discussion, Adam is standing right next to her (Genesis 3:6)!
So why should Eve’s mistake keep women from being preachers today? For that matter, why should woman “have power on her head because of the angels (1 Corinthians 11:10)?” Like Job, we don’t have to understand why, we just have to obey!
1 Timothy 2:15 — Does childbearing sanctify? No! Paul is going back to the garden – the man was cursed with the sorrow of work, and the woman was cursed with the pain of childbirth. Henry Alford discusses:
The curse on the woman for her “transgression” was, “in pains you will bear children” (Genesis 3:16). Her “childbearing” is that in which the curse finds its operation. What then is here promised her? Not only exemption from that curse in its worst and heaviest effects: not merely that she shall safely bear children: but the Apostle uses the word “will be saved” purposely for its higher meaning [eternal salvation], and the construction of the sentence is precisely as [in] 1 Corinthians 3:15 — “he will be saved, yet though as through fire.”
Just as that man should be saved though as passing through fire, which is his trial, his hindrance in his way, in spite of which he escapes — so she shall be saved, though as passing through her child-bearing, which is her trial, her curse, her (not means of salvation, but) hindrance in the way of it.

As Baier noted on Fox News this morning, “We’re doing it pre-tape, but … we are going to run it uninterrupted, unedited all the way, maybe 30 minutes, the first part of Special Report, and then we’ll have a panel discussion about it afterward.” Baier is pitching the interview as “tough but fair,” promising to ask about “the issues that people care about,” including “perhaps some things that haven’t been asked in other interviews.” We shall see.

Hostility between Biden and Harris: A White House at odds? Tensions between Joe Biden’s staff and Kamala Harris’s team reportedly have been brewing for some time, and as Harris slides in the polls, those tensions are boiling over. According to Axios, some members of Biden’s staff are still bitter over how he was pushed aside for Harris. “They’re too much in their feelings,” one of Harris’s team said in describing Biden’s staff. Lack of communication between the two sides has also given rise to frustration, with the latest example being Biden giving an apparent impromptu White House press conference while Harris was holding a campaign event in Michigan, taking attention away from Harris. Another example was the distinctly different messaging surrounding Florida Governor Ron DeSantis following the hurricanes. As Harris was falsely claiming that DeSantis was politicizing the disaster by ignoring her calls, Biden was praising DeSantis for being “gracious” and “cooperative.” A Harris aide complained, “The White House is lacking someone in the room thinking first and foremost about how things would affect the campaign.” If Harris continues to sink in the polls, expect the internal finger-pointing to only get worse.
Newsweek’s Nazi flags flap: In a blatant effort to equate Donald Trump and his supporters with Nazis, Newsweek ran a story with the following headline: “Swastika Flags Flown During Donald Trump Boat Parade in Florida.” That headline was technically true — a boat with five individuals and three wearing masks did indeed fly swastika flags and Trump flags during a pro-Trump boat parade. But the notion that these individuals were welcomed or even remotely representative of the parade goers is false. Indeed, at one point, another boat of Trump supporters intentionally showered water all over the boat of Nazi goons. Some folks in the parade suggested that these guys were actually antifa thugs, given their common practice of masks themselves and sowing discord. The problem is that Newsweek focused on a headline and a story on a group of unwelcome malcontents as if they are representative of the common Trump supporter. Nothing could be further from the truth, and yet Newsweek, the a self-appointed “fact-checking” outfit, is peddling lies.

Kamala says she’ll be tough on crime, but her record says otherwise: Kamala Harris likes to brag about having been a tough prosecutor and attorney general — she prosecuted “transnational drug gangs” and all that claptrap — but her record belies these claims. As The Federalist’s Beth Brelje writes: “Harris oversaw crime in San Francisco as DA from 2004 to 2010. In her first year, San Francisco saw the violent crime rate increase 19 percent, an upward trend that continued for much of her reign. Her policies, implemented and proposed, drew criticism from longtime law enforcement experts.” Concerning Harris’s routinely poor conviction rates, Brelje adds, “Harris may sound like an airhead without a clue when she speaks, but there is a dangerous, criminal-friendly agenda behind her professed ‘tough on crime’ policies.” Indeed, if anything tells us that Harris will be soft on crime, it’s her endorsement in 2020 of disastrous LA DA George Gascon, in which she called him “a proven leader.” If Harris thinks Gascon is “a proven leader,” then her judgment stinks.

More girls stand up to boys: A fifth school in the Mountain West Conference has refused to play against San Jose State’s women’s volleyball team due to their inclusion of a “transgender” identifying male on their team. The University of Nevada, Reno, was scheduled to play a game against SJSU on October 26. However, Nevada’s players objected, saying in a statement, “We … forfeit against San Jose State University and stand united in solidarity with the volleyball teams of Southern Utah University, Boise State University, the University of Wyoming and Utah State University.” They added, “We demand that our right to safety and fair competition on the court be upheld. We refuse to participate in any match that advances injustice against female athletes.” The school administration responded that the team’s decision was “made independently” and “does not represent the position of the University.” The school added that none of the team members would be subject to any disciplinary actions. It’s good to see these female athletes standing up against the unfair attempt to force them to compete against gender-bending males as if they were actual women.
CA to impose mask mandates on healthcare workers: “Mask mandates are making a comeback in California,” claims Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA). A number of counties across the Bay Area will soon require healthcare workers to mask up from November 1 through March or April, during the height of the flu season. The rationale is to stop the spread of viruses like COVID-19 and influenza during the colder months when these viruses are more prolific. The trouble is the lack of evidence supporting the notion that masking prevents viral spread. Indeed, masking seems to serve more as a political virtue signal than medically efficacious action. Irrespective of the actual science, California authoritarians view the imposition of their views as paramount to good governing and, therefore, justify the dubious rule. As the San Mateo County order states, “The violation of any provision of this order constitutes an imminent threat and immediate menace to public health, constitutes a public nuisance, and is punishable by fine, imprisonment or both.” Would these officials take the same serious approach to actual criminal behavior?

“Kamala Harris plagiarized at least a dozen sections of her criminal-justice book, Smart on Crime, according to a new investigation,” reports Christopher Rufo. “The current vice president even lifted material from Wikipedia.”
You might say she was “unburdened by what has been” written by other people.
Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, has exposed plagiarists before — most famously former Harvard University President Claudine Gay last year. There’s little reason to doubt his reporting on Harris, especially given “the receipts,” as he calls the proof in his X thread. He further lays out the case in a Substack column.
He teases Harris’s “unique rhetorical style,” complete with phony accents and mindless catchphrases. She’s also been the subject of mockery for basically copying Joe Biden’s campaign platform. Donald Trump even teased her in the debate for swiping some of his ideas, suggesting that he might give her a MAGA hat. This plagiarism, however, is more serious. Rufo says:
At the beginning of Harris’s political career, in the run-up to her campaign to serve as California’s attorney general, she and co-author Joan O’C Hamilton published a small volume, entitled Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer. The book helped to establish her credibility on criminal-justice issues.
The ensuing examples are indeed troubling, even if her book, like those of countless other political figures, was ghostwritten. The publisher, Chronicle Books, is certainly scrambling.
It’s also a pretty good sign that it’s all true when The New York Times circles the wagons. Rather than focus on the plagiarism, which the Times dismissed as “not serious,” the headline is this laugher: “Conservative Activist Seizes on Passages From Harris Book.” The Times also lied by omission, saying Rufo had reported five sections when, in fact, he had cited more than a dozen.
The point I want to make here, though, is broader than simply, well, copying and pasting the examples Rufo lays out, or even chastising the Leftmedia (though that’s always an amusing pastime).
Harris has been vice president for nearly four years. Before that, she was the U.S. senator from California for four years, before which she was attorney general of California for six years after serving as San Francisco district attorney for seven years. That look backward is important because the point of her plagiarism is just what Rufo said — “to establish her credibility.”
Plagiarism tends to have the opposite effect.
Harris was appointed DA under, at best, questionable circumstances. Former San Francisco Mayor and California Democrat kingmaker Willie Brown had an extramarital affair with Harris, to whom he gifted a BMW and the DA post as thanks. That position put her on track to advance through the Democrat ranks. At each turn, it was more about her identity than her skill or ability.
That is the definition of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Whereas The New York Times focused its story on Rufo and his work targeting “Black scholars, particularly Black women who work in diversity and inclusion,” that turns the problem on its head. The story isn’t that Rufo noticed. It’s that DEI hires relied on plagiarism to bolster their résumés and careers, precisely as Harris is likely guilty of doing.
Biden, who had his own plagiarism scandal, chose Harris as VP only because she is a “woman of color.” He was painted into a corner when fellow Democrat presidential contestant Amy Klobuchar said in June 2020, “This is a moment to put a woman of color on that ticket.”
With every moment in front of a camera, Harris proves she was a DEI hire who should not be permitted to fail upwards yet again.
As for her credibility, she depends in large measure on the contrast with Trump: She’s the prosecutor, he’s the felon. Yet, if she couldn’t even write a book a criminal justice — never mind her long record of releasing drug dealers and murderers — what commends her to the task of being the nation’s chief executive?
You may not like Donald Trump’s character, but don’t believe for a moment that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, or most any other nationally known Democrat has superior character. Plus, Trump happens to have a record of policy success that he didn’t need to steal from someone else.

The New York Times published a 5,000-word article asserting that Donald Trump is a unique threat to democracy because a second term Trump Department of Justice could potentially prosecute members of the Democrat Party.
Authors Emily Bazelon and Mattathias Schwartz make this argument not only after a first Trump term with zero political prosecutions by Trump appointees but after a shocking and unprecedented nationwide lawfare campaign by Democrats against Trump and other Republicans.
The Times headline is “Why Legal Experts Are Worried About a Second Trump Presidency.” The subhed added, “In a survey of 50 members of the D.C. legal establishment, many warn that Trump could follow through on his threats to prosecute his political adversaries.” The term “gaslighting” has gained popularity in recent years, a reference to the 1944 movie “Gaslight” about a husband who manipulates his wife into thinking she is insane. Even in a sea of media manipulation, there is perhaps no better example of gaslighting than this piece.

One of the most blatant examples of media manipulation was recently discovered when CBS 60-Minutes deceptively edited a response from Kamala Harris, replacing her ‘word salad’ answer with a completely different answer to an entirely different question. [SEE HERE]
This past Sunday, House Speaker Mike Johnson appeared on CBS Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan and the editing and manufacturing was done again before broadcast. Unbeknownst to CBS, Speaker Johnson’s staff were recording the interview from his side of the camera. Johnson released a series of video segments today (via Twitter) showing how CBS intentionally took out the important elements of his responses.
The segments are embedded below for review. You can see how CBS chose to edit the answers to cut out the important components and citations for Speaker Johnson’s responses. The manipulation is very clear. WATCH:

The Harris/Walz campaign is working hard to target male voters, from releasing a super manly video of super manly men doing super manly things to setting a photo op with Tim Walz loading a gun in a totally sensible way. With all this male outreach, it’s amazing the campaign is facing any sort of uphill battle with men at all!

He sits daintily on a truck tailgate in a Kamala ad: This one is a dead giveaway.
Frequently seen waving with both hands simultaneously: It’s a secret sign only recognized by other Kamala fans.
He attempts to load a shotgun through the butt: That’s not how shotguns work.
Thinks Amazon’s Rings of Power is an artistic masterpiece: He’s really hoping for Sauron and Galadriel to get together.
He says “I eat my steak rare” but when he says it he sticks out his hip and snaps his finger and then he says “You better believe it, big boy”: This is a sure sign he’s probably gonna pull the lever for Harris.
He’s only been a man for 6 months and wants to thank Kamala for the surgery he got in prison to make it happen: He owes a lot to Kamala.

ERIE, PA — With political analysts emphasizing how important every single vote will be on election day, Vice President Kamala Harris courted indigenous voters by telling the crowd at her campaign rally that she grew up in a middle-class teepee.
The Democratic candidate for president took the stage in front of a crowd of Pennsylvanians, proudly wearing a traditional Native American headdress while recounting her childhood spent living in a modest, middle-class wigwam among other decent, hardworking indigenous black-Jamaican-Indian Americans.
“It is always important to remember how important the importance is,” Harris told the crowd. “First of all, I grew up in a middle-class teepee. I understand the struggles of my fellow indigenous peoples. As time passes, we must take the time to look back in time at the atrocities perpetrated in former times and continue to be perpetrated in our current time, time and time again. It is only by identifying with the indigenous peoples within ourselves that we can honor the indigenous peoples who have already existed outside of us. And that is how I will fix our economy.”
Journalists marveled at the vice president’s reverence and solemnity in commemorating such an important day. “That’s the most presidential feathered headdress I’ve ever seen,” said one reporter who was reduced to tears. “You should have seen her dancing and shouting her war cry when she met with a group of indigenous people backstage. It was truly inspiring.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Alejandro Mayorkas recently fell under suspicion of using Jedi mind tricks after the Secretary of Homeland Security started desperately waving his hands around while claiming that the Biden-Harris administration has not intentionally allowed millions of illegals to cross the US border to vote.
According to several journalists, Mayorkas was fielding questions in a press conference when someone asked him whether or not it was true that millions upon millions of illegal Kamala voters are currently streaming across the southern border in preparation for Election Day.
“He started chanting the phrase ‘not intentionally — but no humans are ever illegal’ over and over again,” said Jackson Quimby, a reporter. “And then he started waving his hands. I began to realize that these weren’t the illegal immigrant voters I was looking for, so I waved him along and asked a different question. I felt a bit woozy afterward, but I usually just chalk that up to his cologne. It can make the newsroom a bit…pungent.”
Mayorkas was unavailable for comment.

He pointed to the ultra-rich who are driving the AI agenda with their end-goal to become gods. It sounds ridiculous until you realize these individuals don’t believe in a biblical worldview, therefore they want to find immortality, omniscience and omnipotence through technology. At the same time they seek to de-throne the one true God of the Bible as Satan sought to do.
So what is artificial intelligence? ChatBox, which many people use, is one example. When people use this to buy a particular product, in the corner of the screen, a little box might pop up trying to engage you in conversation. That’s not a human being, that’s artificial intelligence at work.
The ten levels of artificial intelligence include:
