NOVEMBER 2 | GOD WILL BE ALL OR HE WILL BE NOTHING

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto thee.

MATTHEW 6:33

God is never found accidentally!

Whoever seeks other objects and not God is on his own; he may obtain those objects if he is able, but he will never have God.

Whoever seeks God as a means toward desired ends will not find God. The mighty God, the maker of heaven and earth, will not be one of many treasures, not even the chief of all treasures.

He will be all in all or He will be nothing!

His mercy and grace are infinite and His patient understanding is beyond measure, but He will not aid men in their selfish striving after personal gain. He will not help men to attain ends which, when attained, usurp the place He by every right should hold in their interest and affection.

Yet popular Christianity has as one of its most effective talking points the idea that God exists to help people to get ahead in this world. The God of the poor has become the God of an affluent society. We hear that Christ no longer refuses to be a judge or a divider between money-hungry brothers. He can now be persuaded to assist the brother that has accepted Him to get the better of the brother who has not!

The first and greatest commandment is to love God with every power of our entire being. Where love like that exists there can be no place for a second object. If we love God as much as we should surely we cannot dream of a loved object beyond Him which He might help us to obtain!1

Evening, November 2 | “Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.”—Psalm 119:53

My soul, feelest thou this holy shuddering at the sins of others? for otherwise thou lackest inward holiness. David’s cheeks were wet with rivers of waters because of prevailing unholiness; Jeremiah desired eyes like fountains that he might lament the iniquities of Israel, and Lot was vexed with the conversation of the men of Sodom. Those upon whom the mark was set in Ezekiel’s vision, were those who sighed and cried for the abominations of Jerusalem. It cannot but grieve gracious souls to see what pains men take to go to hell. They know the evil of sin experimentally, and they are alarmed to see others flying like moths into its blaze. Sin makes the righteous shudder, because it violates a holy law, which it is to every man’s highest interest to keep; it pulls down the pillars of the commonwealth. Sin in others horrifies a believer, because it puts him in mind of the baseness of his own heart: when he sees a transgressor he cries with the saint mentioned by Bernard, “He fell to-day, and I may fall to-morrow.” Sin to a believer is horrible, because it crucified the Saviour; he sees in every iniquity the nails and spear. How can a saved soul behold that cursed kill-Christ sin without abhorrence? Say, my heart, dost thou sensibly join in all this? It is an awful thing to insult God to his face. The good God deserves better treatment, the great God claims it, the just God will have it, or repay his adversary to his face. An awakened heart trembles at the audacity of sin, and stands alarmed at the contemplation of its punishment. How monstrous a thing is rebellion! How direful a doom is prepared for the ungodly! My soul, never laugh at sin’s fooleries, lest thou come to smile at sin itself. It is thine enemy, and thy Lord’s enemy—view it with detestation, for so only canst thou evidence the possession of holiness, without which no man can see the Lord.1

November 2.—Evening. [Or September 3.] | “His righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.”

Acts 13:43–52

NOW when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. (These earnest people wished for private conversation upon the gospel. Ministers are always hopeful of such hearers. We must not be backward in speaking to God’s servants concerning our souls.)

44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. (So that there was much excitement. Those who speak slightingly of the power which draws large congregations should reflect that men cannot learn the gospel if they never hear it. What grand days we should see if almost the whole of our population would come together to hear the word of God.)

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

46, 47 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (The gospel dove being driven away from one place found a congenial nest in another. We cannot force men to be saved, and therefore we must carry the gospel to others when those reject it to whom we have presented it; by this means the eternal purposes of God will be fulfilled, and his own elect will be gathered in.)

49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

These bigots imagined that the coming of new teachers into their city was a reflection upon themselves. Were they not both honourable and devout already? Therefore they joined the malicious Jews and chased Paul and Barnabas away. It is not often that we read in Scripture of women, and devout women too, opposing the gospel, yet it is no uncommon thing for formal self-righteous ladies to be very bitter against those who dare to differ from them.

51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 14:1–7

AND it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. (Like the dog in the manger, they would not allow others to feed upon that which they rejected themselves. If they chose to be unbelievers, why need they be persecutors?)

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

4–6 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles. And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them, They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

And there they preached the gospel.

However much they are harassed, they keep to their life work: nothing can stop them, not even the fear of a cruel death. Do we in like manner speak of Jesus in every company? If not, we fall short of our duty. Let us amend, and in every place show forth the Saviour’s love.

Now will I tell to sinners round,

What a dear Saviour I have found;

I’ll point to thy redeeming blood,

And say, “Behold the way to God!”1

November 2 Evening Verse of the Day

4 The NIV, probably correctly, identifies the unnamed (see MT) speaker as the “angel” of the Lord. The removal of the filthy clothes (apparently by angels—“those who were standing before him”) may connote that Joshua is thereby deprived of priestly office. If so, he is reinstated in v. 5. Theologically, however, there also seems to be a picture here of the negative aspect of what God does when he saves a person. Negatively, he takes away sin. Positively, he adds or imputes to the sinner saved by grace his own divine righteousness (cf. v. 5). The act of causing Joshua’s sin to pass from him (cf. Heb.) represents justification, not sanctification. It is forensic forgiveness that is in view, as seen from v. 9, which interprets Joshua’s cleansing by applying it to the land (i.e., the people)—another evidence that more than Joshua himself is in view here.

Next, Joshua is to be clothed with rich or fine garments—God’s representative clothed in God’s righteousness. God’s servant goes from filthy clothes to festive garments. The “rich garments” (the Hebrew word is used only here and in Isa 3:22) speak of purity, joy, and glory; but their chief significance is that they symbolize the restoration of Israel to her original calling (Ex 19:6; Isa 61:6). There is a contrast here: Joshua in filthy garments, representing Israel as a priest but defiled and unclean, versus Joshua in festive garments, representing Israel’s future glory in reconsecration to the priestly office.

“I have taken away” emphasizes the agent of the forgiveness. It is God who causes sin to be removed, ultimately on the basis of the messianic Servant’s substitutionary death. But here it was actually the Angel of the Lord who forgives sin, thus identifying him with deity (cf. Mk 2:7, 10), or at least as God’s representative.1

4. Angelic beings not mentioned before are called upon to remove the offending garments and the angel of the Lord explains the significance of the act. The introductory Behold is more literally ‘look’, a different word from the exclamation in 2:3, 9, 10. It draws attention to the spiritual counterpart of the removal of the filthy garments, I have taken your iniquity away from you. ‘Iniquity’ (Heb. ‘āwôn) is a general term for the whole sinful disposition leading to distress and guilt. Joshua in his high-priestly role stood for the predicament of the whole people, who had incurred the divine wrath, suffered the penalty of the exile, and now knew that they needed a way back to the presence of a holy God. The vision demonstrated that God accepted Joshua, and with him those he represented, having removed from his sight all that offended his holiness. But that was not all. I will clothe you with rich apparel promised garments suitable for the heavenly court, which it would have been beyond Joshua’s power to provide.2

† 3:4 — “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

God says, “put off the old man with his deeds,” and “put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him” (Col. 3:9, 10). We must wear Jesus like a garment.3

3:4 The removal of filthy garments by the angels (“who were standing before him”) depicted the promised future forensic justification, the salvation of the nation (cf. v. 9; 12:10–13:1; Ro 11:25–27). The High-Priest was symbolically clothed with rich robes, which spoke of righteousness imputed (cf. Is 61:10) and the restoration of Israel to her original calling (cf. Ex 19:6; Is 61:6; Ro 11:1, 2).4

3:4 The Lord also acts to cleanse Joshua from his iniquity. He commands his servants to remove the filthy garments, so removing Joshua’s iniquity, and to clothe Joshua in pure vestments, garments suitable for him to wear in the presence of the King of kings. Since the filthy garments represent iniquity, these “pure vestments” represent a new righteousness imputed to Joshua.

3:4 The removal of iniquity symbolizes justification in Christ (Rom. 3:23–26; 5:1).5

3:4 the ones standing before him Probably refers to other angels, though human associates of the priest are possible.

will clothe you with rich garments The priests were to wear specially consecrated garments (see Lev 8:7–13, 30; 16:4).6

3:4 Remove the filthy garments. God makes Joshua fit for the priesthood by giving new garments. In this way Joshua is a type of the coming Branch (v. 8), who will fulfill a priestly function and provide clothing of righteousness for us from His own merit.7

November 4 – God Knows Every Thought in Your Mind! | VCY

TODAY’S BIBLE READING CHALLENGE:
  Ezekiel 10:1-11:25
  Hebrews 6:1-20
  Psalm 105:16-36
  Proverbs 27:1-2

Ezekiel 10 includes references to several gems, and because I’m not used to thinking in terms of the color Beryl, I find it helpful to see what Beryl looks like.

Ezekiel 10:11 — Sound familiar? We read about this in Ezekiel 1. Interestingly, this is the 5th time we’ve seen this phrase “… they turned not when they went …”

Ezekiel 11:1 — We saw the “five and twenty men” earlier in Ezekiel 8:16.

Ezekiel 11:3 — From the Pulpit Commentary:

As in most proverbs of this kind, the thought is condensed to the very verge of obscurity, and the words have received very different interpretations. “It (the judgment of which the true prophets spoke) is not near. Let us build houses, not, as Jeremiah bids (Jeremiah 39:5), in the land of exile, but here in Jerusalem, where we shall remain in safety. Are we threatened with the imagery of the ‘seething pot’ (Jeremiah 1:13)? Let us remember that the caldron protects the meat in it from the fire. The walls of the city will protect us from the army of the Chaldeans.”

Ezekiel 11:5 — Whoa! “I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them!” Sometimes when reading the prophets a phrase will jump out at you. You know that God is omniscient, but you don’t think of how His omniscience affects you. You sometimes pray to Him when you think of Him, but you don’t always live with a conscious awareness of His presence. Yet He knows every thought in your mind!

Ezekiel 11:17 — We see a special promise in these verses:

  • “I will give you the land of Israel” – interesting to think that just 80 years ago this seemed to be an allegorical promise. Since 1948, there is a nation of Israel again, but the nation still doesn’t possess all the promised land.
  • “I will put a new spirit within you … I will be their God” – unfortunately, Paul’s heart’s desire has not been fulfilled yet (Romans 10:1). Interestingly, 20% of Jewish Millennials believe Jesus is the Son of God.

Ezekiel 11:23 — What mountain is on the east side of the city?

Hebrews 6:4-6 — Here’s another scary part of the third warning passage from Hebrews. It is impossible for partakers of the Holy Ghost to be saved again. They cannot crucify the Son of God again. This is a reiteration of Hebrews 6:1 – we cannot again repent, believe, and identify with Jesus.

Hebrews 6:10 — Paul balances his warning with his word of encouragement for those who have supported God’s work!

Hebrews 6:19 — Our salvation could be lost if it were up to us. But God swore by Himself (Hebrews 6:13). We have a refuge (Hebrews 6:18), an anchor for the soul, and my anchor holds!

Psalm 105:18 — Interesting that we didn’t know this about Joseph in Genesis.

Psalm 105:25 — The Egyptians were grateful for Joseph, but they proceeded to enslave his descendants. As Bob Jones Sr. said, “When gratitude dies on the altar of a man’s heart, that man is well nigh hopeless.”

Proverbs 27:1-2 — Two verses that talk about humility. Boasts of tomorrow and boasts of thyself. Recognition of the inability to prognosticate and the inappropriateness of self congratulations.

In Calm Repose | VCY

I will make them to lie down safely.Hosea 2:18

Yes, the saints are to have peace. The passage from which this gracious word is taken speaks of peace “with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground.” This is peace with earthly enemies, with mysterious evils, and with little annoyances! Any of these might keep us from lying down, but none of them shall do so. The Lord will quite destroy those things which threaten His people: “I will break the bow and the sword, and the battle out of the earth.” Peace will be profound indeed when all the instruments of disquiet are broken to pieces.

With this peace will come rest, “So he giveth his beloved sleep.” Fully supplied and divinely quieted, believers lie down in calm repose. This rest will be a safe one. It is one thing to lie down but quite another “to lie down safely.” We are brought to the land of promise, the house of the Father, the chamber of love, and the bosom of Christ: surely we may now “lie down safely.” It is safer for a believer to lie down in peace than to sit up and worry.

“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,” We never rest till the Comforter makes us lie down.

Two Kinds of Light | Bible Apologetics – A DAILY DEVOTIONAL

In (Genesis 1:3) we read: “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” Before God gave this command, on the first day, we know that darkness covered the earth for we read: “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” (Genesis 1:2). And since the sun, moon, and stars were not created until day four this light clearly was a supernatural light that exhibited the omnipotence of God.

God does not need the sun, moon, and stars to provide light, for God is light! (1 John 1:5) tells us: “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” And just as God was the light for the first three days of Creation He will also be the light in the new heavens and new earth. (Revelation 22:5) tells us that the light of the sun will no longer be needed for we read: “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light…”

But as amazing as this cosmic light display is, there is another kind of light that exists that can shatter the darkness of sin that lives in the hearts of all of us before we come to know Jesus, the true light of the world. For we read: “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12).

And as important as the physical light of day is, Jesus, the light of the world, is even more important, since He is the only antidote for the darkness that exists in the unregenerate human heart. The Bible tells us in (Ephesians 2:1) that we are “dead in trespasses and sins,” and are unable to come out of the darkness and into the light on our own. For this to happen we need the supernatural power of the one true light – Jesus! (1 Thessalonians 5:5) tells us, once we are rescued from the darkness, by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, we become “children of the light.”

At conversion sinners experience a kind of spiritual illumination that can also be viewed as a kind of “creation” that occurs in the human heart. Here, the light of Christ shines through our darkened hearts and performs the necessary spiritual surgery to bring us out of darkness and into the light. Without the light of Christ, we are doomed to spiritual darkness and everlasting separation from God. But praise God for Jesus – our ultimate beacon of light!

After Dumping Cash Into Migrants, Diversity, FEMA Failed To Answer Nearly Half Of Calls From Hurricane Survivors | IJR by Daily Caller News Foundation

Daily Caller News Foundation

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which is short on resources after spending hundreds of millions on migrant services and “equity” programs, failed to answer roughly half of the phone calls made by survivors of Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

Between Oct. 14 and Oct. 20, days after Milton hit Florida on Oct. 9, FEMA received 900,000 calls from survivors, but failed to answer 47% of them, Politico reported. The large number of missed calls was partially attributable to staff and resource shortages at the agency. FEMA, however, spent nearly $1 billion on providing services to illegal migrants and allocated $12 million for a grant program designed to increase equity in disaster responses by making greater investments in communities with high concentrations of racial or sexual minorities.

The 53% of survivors who did have their calls answered waited an average of one hour and five minutes to speak with someone from FEMA, according to Politico. During this period FEMA had just around 500 workers available for new assignments, alongside 55 coordinating officers, to handle the massive volume of calls.

FEMA had 1,752 workers on hand during the busiest day after Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, agency records show.

FEMA’s staffing issues in the aftermath of Milton followed a warning from Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Oct. 2 that the agency did not have enough funding to make it through hurricane season, which typically runs until Nov. 30.

In the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years, FEMA spent about $1 billion on providing shelter, food, transportation, acute medical care and personal hygiene supplies, among other goods and services, to illegal immigrants. Congress and the Biden-Harris administration apportioned funding to FEMA specifically for those purposes, not disaster relief, according to federal documents.

“Let’s go and point out the obvious which is that FEMA had utilized a large majority of the personnel who should be here taking care of this to be replaced or repurposed for immigration resettlement when we need to be focusing on Americans whether it be in Maui, Palestine, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, or Tennessee,” Republican Florida Rep. Cory Mills told the Washington Examiner in early October.

Over 250 people died in Hurricanes Milton and Helene which, by some estimates, caused over $150 billion in damages, according to CBS News.

“They have very little capacity left to handle another multibillion-dollar event,” a former FEMA administrator told Politico. “The business model of emergency management in this country is in trouble. It’s overloaded.”

Maggie Jarry, an emergency management specialist at the Department of Health and Human Services, said at an internal meeting with FEMA representatives that emergency management is moving away from providing “the greatest good to the greatest amount of people” and working towards “disaster equity.”

FEMA did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

The US says it will send more warships and bombers to the Middle East as tensions persist between Iran and Israel | Business Insider

  • The US is deploying warships and B-52 bombers to the Middle East amid rising tensions.
  • Israel and Iran are stuck in a cycle of retaliatory strikes.
  • The US earlier said it would also send a missile defense system and 100 more troops to Israel.

The United States is sending bombers and warships to the Middle East as Iran and Israel trade threats of retaliatory strikes.

The Pentagon announced on Friday that the United States will send ballistic missile defense destroyers, tanker aircraft, and “several” US Air Force B-52 long-range jets to the Middle East in the coming months.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the deployments to defend Israel and to de-escalate “through deterrence and diplomacy,” Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said in a statement.

“(Secretary Austin) continues to make clear that should Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take every measure necessary to defend our people,” Ryder said.

The deployments follow Israel’s first-ever open attack on Iran on October 26, when it launched airstrikes inside the country. That attack was a retaliation for Iran launching a barrage of missiles against Israel earlier in the month, which was itself a retaliatory attack for Israel’s assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, a key ally of Iran, in September. Tensions between the two countries have skyrocketed since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict last year.

Israel’s airstrikes last week were initially met with a measured response from Iran, which appeared resistant to escalating the conflict further. But the rhetoric from Iran in recent days has led to concerns that it could be planning another attack.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said in a post on X on Saturday that the United States and Israel would receive a “crushing response” for their actions against Iran and its allies.

The Pentagon said in October it had also ordered the deployment of the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense missile defense system and an associated crew of US military personnel to Israel. The United States said it would send about 100 troops to operate the air defense system.

Ryder said the deployments of the THAAD system and the new ship and jet deployments together represent the US military’s flexibility to “deploy world-wide on short notice to meet evolving national security threats.”

Radicalized Squirrels In MAGA Hats Begin Uprising | Babylon Bee

Article Image

U.S. — After government authorities seized and executed the beloved squirrel known as “Peanut”, squirrels across America donned tiny MAGA hats and launched a mass uprising.

“For Peanut!!” shouted the squirrels as their forces stormed government buildings. “Vive la révolution!”

Anti-government sentiment had steadily risen among squirrels over the past decades, creating a powder keg of anger ready to ignite. “Peanut’s death lit the match,” said organizer Squeaks O’Hoolihan. “Too long, we squirrels have stayed dormant, losing our freedoms to the government inch by inch. No more. Today, we stand and fight, fight, fight! The fires of revolution shall spread across the nation like a cleansing balm.”

The uprising began in New York, where government commandos busted into Peanut’s humble abode and killed the kindly squirrel. “Within hours, there were tens of thousands of squirrels gathered in Central Park, each wearing a MAGA hat,” said police officer Darryl Smith. “The squirrels were prepared, organized, and unbelievably disciplined. We’re in real trouble.”

At publishing time, a squirrel army had been seen heading for the Capitol with a contingent of buffalos.

State Officials Seize Internet-Famous Rescue Squirrel From Guardian, Euthanized Alongside Raccoon | 100PercentFedUp.com

A pet squirrel who became an internet sensation was euthanized after the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) seized him from his guardian.

Peanut the Squirrel, referred to as “P’Nut” on social media, was put to death alongside Fred the raccoon so that the animals could be tested for rabies.

“New York wildlife officers raided Mark Longo’s home, seizing his rescue squirrel Peanut after complaints about ‘unsafe squirrel housing’ and ‘wildlife gone wild’ hit the department. Peanut is an internet sensation known for donning cowboy hats and sharing waffles with cats. The raid, which Longo describes as ‘overkill,’ also led to the confiscation of Fred the raccoon,” Mario Nawfal explained.

WETM shared a statement from the DEC:

The Chemung County Department of Health and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) are coordinating to ensure the protection of public health related to the illegal possession of wild animals that have the potential to carry the rabies virus. On Oct. 30, DEC seized a raccoon and squirrel sharing a residence with humans, creating the potential for human exposure to rabies. In addition, a person involved with the investigation was bitten by the squirrel. To test for rabies, both animals were euthanized. The animals are being tested for rabies and anyone who has been in contact with these animals is strongly encouraged to consult their physician.

From the New York Post:

Peanut’s guardian Mark Longo took to Instagram to memorialize his beloved pet in a video.

Through tears Longo, with his girlfriend at his side, said, “Peanut was the best thing that ever happened to us.”

“RIP MY BEST FRIEND. Thank you for the best 7 years of my life. Thank you for bringing so much joy to us and the world. I’m sorry I failed you but thank you for everything,” Longo wrote in a caption to the post announcing Peanut’s death.

Longo also asked fans for financial help for a “legal battle” and for his non-profit P’Nut’s Freedom Farm.

The DEC claims that Peanut, who was notably docile and friendly over the course of his very public facing life, bit one of the investigators on the hand while being confiscated from his Elmira home on Wednesday.

Longo rescued Peanut after he witnessed the squirrel’s mother hit by a car.

“Seven years ago, a tiny, fluffy baby squirrel entered our lives and changed everything. ‘Peanut the Squirrel’ quickly captured hearts and became a household name. Despite being reintroduced to the wild, Peanut faced adversity, losing half of his tail in a severe attack. Without developing essential wildlife instincts, Peanut became an indoor, non-releasable squirrel. Remarkably, Peanut went on to become the first squirrel to amass over 1 million, and then 2 million, followers on TikTok, with a combined social media following of over 3 million,” P’Nuts Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary says on its website.

“Thanks to the overwhelming love and support from our dedicated followers, we established ‘P’nuts Freedom Farm.’ This sanctuary is a haven where neglected and homeless animals receive a second chance at life. Join us on this incredible journey as we rescue animals in desperate need of care and provide them with the highest quality of life. At P’nuts Freedom Farm, we believe in transforming lives and creating a future full of hope and compassion for every animal we save,” it adds.

“Social media star Peanut the squirrel was taken by authorities in New York and euthanized. His owners Mark & Daniela Longo came on TMZ Live to talk about the insane raid on their home, how they found out Peanut was killed and what this means for their animal sanctuary,” TMZ Live wrote.

Per NBC News:

Longo brought Peanut him home, ultimately caring for the squirrel for eight months before trying to release it back into the wild. He said Peanut returned to his porch a day and a half later with a broken bone sticking out of its tail, at which point Longo determined Peanut couldn’t survive in the wild alone and instead would move in with him.

Since then, Peanut has won over the internet’s hearts, amassing 537,000 followers on his Instagram page run by Longo. Videos on the page show Peanut snacking on waffles and welcoming Longo home when he walks through the front door.

Fred, the raccoon, was a more recent addition to Longo’s home.

In a tearful video posted to Peanut’s Instagram account Friday, Longo held a portrait of his pet and thanked followers for their support.

“Peanut was the best thing that ever happened to us,” Longo said through tears. “I want to continue to fight this fight as much as I can but we need all of you to come together and help us.”

The caption of the video reads: “RIP MY BEST FRIEND. Thank you for the best 7 years of my life. Thank you for bringing so much joy to us and the world. I’m sorry I failed you but thank you for everything.”

Multiple anonymous complaints led DEC officers to Longo’s house in Pine County, New York, on Wednesday, prompting Longo to plead for his pet’s release.

“Well internet, you WON. You took one of the most amazing animals away from me because of your selfishness. To the group of people who called DEC, there’s a special place in hell for you,” Longo wrote on Peanut’s Instagram Wednesday.

Longo and his wife moved to Upstate New York last year to start P’Nuts Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary, which is named for his pet and officially opened in April 2023. The sanctuary houses more than 350 rescues and has been relying “heavily” on donations from Peanut’s online followers to help more animals, Longo said in the Instagram post Wednesday.

The Amish Don’t Vote. Why This Year Could Be Different

“Entire Amish communities are travelling in carts with Trump flags, on their way to vote for Trump. This is unprecedented. Off-grid communities don’t tend to go out of their way like this to vote. People are sick of leftism in every single country.”

(Sarah Arnold – Townhall) The Amish traditionally don’t vote in presidential elections due to their faith-based beliefs and Christianity’s historic separatism from mainstream society. Still, this year brings a whole new ball game as the candidates seek support from the horse and buggy riding group.

Since the Amish are a reliably conservative group given their faith-based convictions, reluctance to engage with people outside of their culture and lack of eagerness to conform to modern-day technology, the group can drastically shift the outcome of some rural states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconsin. View article →

Melania Trump appears on the cover of Schweizer Illustrierte in a double-breasted satin-trimmed wool-blend gabardine coat from Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The coat retails for $6,595.

“This wool-blend gabardine coat is designed with satin peak lapels complemented by lustrous flap pockets and covered buttons through the double-breasted front,” a description by Dolce & Gabbana reads. “It has structured shoulders balanced by a nipped-in waist.”

Along with the cover, Mrs. Trump posed for photos — shot by Regine Mahaux and styled by Hervé Pierre — in her signature style which includes leather pencil skirts, sharp-shouldered blazers, Christian Louboutin heels, Saint Laurent sunglasses, and Dior tailoring.

Last week, Mrs. Trump stepped out on the national stage to join her husband, former President Donald Trump, at Madison Square Garden for a massive campaign rally.

Mrs. Trump, Breitbart News is told, wore a zebra print Michael Kors Collection coat and black Manolo Blahnik stilettos. The coat is from years past when Mrs. Trump resided in the White House.

Heritage Foundation pres. warns Kamala Harris most ‘anti-faith’ candidate in history | Christian Post

Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris speaks on The Ellipse just south of the White House in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 29, 2024. The Harris-Walz campaign is billing the speech as 'a major closing argument' one week before the Nov. 5 election.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts warned Americans in a Friday press call that Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president of the United States, is the most “anti-faith” presidential candidate in history and that her administration would lead to Christians losing their freedom to worship.

Roberts, who has led the conservative think tank since 2021, hosted a Virtual Faith Media Roundtable to Discuss Why Christians Should Vote Friday. In his remarks, he warned about the implications of a Harris administration and assuaged Christians with concerns about the Republican candidate for president, former President Donald Trump.

The conversation took place four days before the 2024 presidential election, where the Republican ticket of Trump and Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, is locked in a tight race with the Democratic ticket of Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Roberts described Harris as “the most anti-faith, anti-religion presidential candidate in history.” He maintained that “People of faith who are worried about the choice they are making really need to understand what’s at stake.”

“We’re going to lose our ability to worship, we’re going to lose our religious liberty if the Harris-Walz campaign prevails,” he asserted. He cited the vice president’s suggestion to attendees at one of her recent rallies who shouted phrases including “Christ is King” that they were at the wrong rally as an example of her hostility to religion.

Roberts expressed concern about the prospect of a Harris-Walz administration “expanding abortion” if the Democrats gain complete control of the U.S. Congress in addition to the presidency as well as “a real abridgement of religious liberty” and efforts to “abridge free speech.” He expressed concern that “they’re going to abridge free speech for people of faith” as well as media organizations.

“Although I’ve got other things I’m concerned about, I think it’s not hyperbole for me to say that I think the entire First Amendment is endangered” in the event of a Harris-Walz victory in the 2024 election, Roberts declared. In addition to laying out the implications of a Harris-Walz administration for people of faith, he attempted to reassure those with concerns that a Trump-Vance administration would not be much better.

Roberts lamented that “There are people of faith who are sitting on the sidelines because they have forgotten that we are electing a president, not a pastor.” He contended that Christians who plan on sitting out the 2024 election because of their concerns about Trump need to remember that “none of us is perfect,” including Trump and Vance.

Roberts’ comments about people of faith “sitting on the sidelines” in the 2024 election comes as a study from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University published last month estimated that 32 million self-identified Christians will abstain from voting.

Addressing the concern that Trump has taken an inadequately pro-life position by insisting that the issue of abortion should be left to the states following the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organizationdecision determining that the U.S. Constitution does not contain a right to abortion and his vow to not sign a national abortion ban, Roberts maintained that “I think people of faith need to remember the … former president’s track record” on the issue from his previous time in the White House.

“I’m cautiously optimistic that in a Trump-Vance administration, that the policy default of the president and vice president will still be solidly pro-life,” he said. Reflecting on the assembly of a presidential cabinet and administration that would follow a Trump-Vance victory, Roberts declared “It’s sort of impossible to avoid appointing pro-life people.”

Roberts described the pro-life movement as “a vital, vital part of the political coalition that will have succeeded in electing Trump and Vance,” stressing that giving pro-life activists prominent roles in the administration would be “politically intelligent.”

Polling at the national level as well as in individual swing states as of Friday forecasts a close election. The RealClearPolitics average of national polls asking voters which candidate they support shows Trump with a very narrow lead of 0.3 percentage points over Harris. The RealClearPolitics “no toss-up” map, which projects the outcome of the presidential election in the electoral college based on polling averages in individual states, shows Trump capturing 287 electoral votes to Harris’ 251.

HE’S OUT: Biden Will No Longer Stump for Harris After Disastrously Calling Half the Country ‘Garbage’ | The Gateway Pundit

Joe Biden will no longer be campaigning for Kamala Harris after he disastrously called half of all Americans “garbage.”

Biden went viral for insulting Trump supporters and calling them “garbage” while on a video call campaigning to Hispanic voters.

The blunder was so bad that the White House was ordered to alter the transcript by the president himself.

The edited transcript makes it appear that Biden was only insulting comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who has faced fallout for a joke about Puerto Rico being covered in garbage during Trump’s Madison Square Garden event.

On Friday, Fox News’s Jacqui Heinrich reported that Biden was being pulled from stumping for the Democrat presidential nominee who replaced him.

“While Harris campaigns in Wisconsin, President Biden was hundreds of miles away talking to union workers in Philadelphia at an official event,” Heinrich’s report began. “Tonight, Fox News has learned multiple campaign calls that were publicly advised on the president’s schedule for yesterday afternoon were canceled as he faces continuing fallout over his ‘garbage’ comment on a Zoom earlier this week.”

Heinrich continued, “None of the calls that had been scheduled were officially sanctioned by or affiliated with the Harris campaign. Biden has no official campaign events on his schedule ahead of the election, Bret.”

In October, it was reported that Harris’ campaign was already seeking to distance her from Biden.
