There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Rom is married to Maegan and they have four children. Rom was raised as a Hindu and became an atheist early in life. The Lord called him to faith through hearing the gospel in 2009 (Romans 10:17). Soon after, he felt a call to gospel ministry. He graduated from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS) in 2020 with an MDiv. He was first ordained and installed as a ruling elder at DRPC in March 2015 and then a teaching elder in July 2020 by the Midwest Presbytery of the RPCNA. He is now the Resident Supply for the Zion Presbyterian Church in Fredericksburg, VA – a congregation of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing).
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.
ROMANS 1:18
The philosophy of pragmatism—basically, the doctrine of the utility of truth, is having a powerful influence upon Christianity in the latter half of the twentieth century.
For the pragmatist there are no absolutes, nothing is absolutely good or absolutely true. Truth and morality float on a sea of human experience.
For the pragmatist, truth is to use. Whatever is useful is true for the user, though for someone else it may not be useful, so not true. The truth of any idea is its ability to produce desirable results. If it can show no such results it is false. This is pragmatism stripped of its jargon!
We live in a day when no one wants to argue with success. It is useless to plead for the human soul, to insist that what a man can do is less important than what he is!
The spectacular drama of successful deeds leaves the beholder breathless—deeds you can see. So who cares about ideals and character and morals? These things are for poets, nice old ladies and philosophers—“let’s get on with the job!”
The weakness of all this in the church is its tragic shortsightedness. It never takes the long view of religious activity, but goes cheerfully on believing that “because it works it is both good and true.” It is satisfied with present success and shakes off any suggestion that its works may go up in smoke in the day of Christ!1
We do not excuse Laban for his dishonesty, but we scruple not to learn from the custom which he quoted as his excuse. There are some things which must be taken in order, and if we would win the second we must secure the first. The second may be the more lovely in our eyes, but the rule of the heavenly country must stand, and the elder must be married first. For instance, many men desire the beautiful and well-favoured Rachel of joy and peace in believing, but they must first be wedded to the tender-eyed Leah of repentance. Every one falls in love with happiness, and many would cheerfully serve twice seven years to enjoy it, but according to the rule of the Lord’s kingdom, the Leah of real holiness must be beloved of our soul before the Rachel of true happiness can be attained. Heaven stands not first but second, and only by persevering to the end can we win a portion in it. The cross must be carried before the crown can be worn. We must follow our Lord in his humiliation, or we shall never rest with him in glory.
My soul, what sayest thou, art thou so vain as to hope to break through the heavenly rule? Dost thou hope for reward without labour, or honour without toil? Dismiss the idle expectation, and be content to take the ill-favoured things for the sake of the sweet love of Jesus, which will recompense thee for all. In such a spirit, labouring and suffering, thou wilt find bitters grow sweet, and hard things easy. Like Jacob, thy years of service will seem unto thee but a few days for the love thou hast to Jesus; and when the dear hour of the wedding feast shall come, all thy toils shall be as though they had never been—an hour with Jesus will make up for ages of pain and labour.
THE Epistle to the Romans is one of the greatest of Paul’s writings, and is rather a treatise than a letter. It was probably written by him from Corinth, three years before he himself arrived at Rome. Dean Alford says, “There is not a grander thing in literature than this opening of the Epistle to the Romans.”
Romans 1:1–23
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3, 4 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
As to his flesh, he was of the seed of David, but his higher nature was by his resurrection manifested most powerfully to be divine. Had he not risen he could not have been God; his resurrection by his own power has made his Godhead plain.
5, 6 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9–12 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. (Little did he dream that his prayers were to be answered by his being conveyed in chains to the great city. Very mysterious are the Lord’s ways of granting our requests.)
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let (or hindered) hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. (His office and his gifts placed him in debt to mankind to labour for their conversion, and every Christian, according to his ability, is in the same condition. Are we paying the debts under which the Lord has laid us?)
15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
He was not afraid of danger, and was willing to come right under the palace walls of Cæsar. In due time his desire became a fact.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18–20 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
21–23 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (They must have known better. No man in his senses can worship birds and beasts without feeling degraded by so doing. Natural reason rebels against such an insult to God, and as they would not listen to its voice the heathen were left to fall into abominable vices. Let us never slight the checks of conscience, lest we should be given over to our own corrupt hearts. No doom could be more terrible.)1
Ezekiel 33:7 — This echoes Ezekiel 3:17. The challenge of this passage using the watchmen as an example is actually an expansion from the five verses of Ezekiel 3:17-21 to the nine verses in Ezekiel 33:1-9. The question is, though, does this warning apply to us today?
The Temple laws of Moses were specific to a certain people and a certain building. The warning of Ezekiel to Tyre and Egypt were specific to a certain people at a certain time, but this passage is different. Ezekiel is given by God a universal principal and not a ceremonial command. Ezekiel was specifically appointed a watchman to Israel, but the context implies that there are others who could be called watchmen as well. In contrast to those that say the church is not responsible for the Great Commission, we have the same message that Ezekiel had, but to a different people and a different time.
The wicked shall die (Ezekiel 33:8)
The “righteous” will die as well (Ezekiel 33:12-13)
Turning (Repentance) saves from death (Ezekiel 33:11)
Our sins can be blotted out (Ezekiel 11:16)
Ezekiel 33:17 — Jeffrey Dahmer was one of the worst serial killers. Sodomized, murdered, dismembered, and cannibalized 17 men and boys over 13 years. Found legally sane.
On July 22nd, 1991, he was caught. He said “For what I did I should be dead.” Over the next two weeks, he confessed to everything. Shortly after he asked for a Bible. He sought legal help from a prominent Christian lawyer in the area. According to his father, books from the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) led him from evolution to the Creator and then to becoming a born again Christian. Yes, it is possible for the wicked to live, and the righteous to die (Ezekiel 33:18-19)!
Ezekiel 33:24 — Israel was trusting in their strength, yet God was judging them for their sin!
Ezekiel 33:25 — In both the Old (Genesis 9:4) and New Testaments (Acts 15:29) God has condemned the eating of blood. The sins that Israel committed (Ezekiel 33:26-27) were universal – condemned in both Testaments.
Ezekiel 33:32 — Be a doer and not just a hearer (James 1:22)!
Ezekiel 34:17 — The Lord GOD (Yahweh Adonai) declares that He, the Shepherd of the flock, will judge between the rams and the goats. What did Jesus say in Matthew 25:32? He said that He would “… separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats …” Jesus claimed to be the Yahweh Adonai of Ezekiel 34:17. Now why wasn’t He stoned for this? Because it was told to the disciples privately (Matthew 24:3) as part of the Olivet Discourse. Those who had followed their rabbi, Y’shua, would not betray Him, save one.
Ezekiel 34:23 — Who is the Shepherd? David, the Shepherd King who wrote of the Lord as Shepherd (Psalm 23), was dead. In John 10:11, Jesus claims to be the Good Shepherd. The Shepherd of Ezekiel 34:23 is prophesied to come, but in this passage is not identified with the LORD as it was in Ezekiel 34:17. Interestingly, this a-divine (not divine, nor anti-divine) claim of identification was made to the Pharisees (John 9:40).
Ezekiel 34:30-31 — This echoes Psalm 100:3 – we should know that the LORD is God, that we are His people, and that we are the sheep of His pasture!
Hebrews 13:2 — The Epistles contain many hard to understand statements about angels. We shall judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:3). The reason for head coverings is because of angels (1 Corinthians 11:10). We might be secretly visited by angels (Hebrews 13:2). We understand things angels don’t (1 Peter 1:12).
Also note the wide variety of people covered in this one chapter:
Hebrews 13:23 — The Pulpit Commentary thinks that this shows Hebrews was written by Dr. Luke:
It is observable that the word ἀπολύεσθαι, which does not occur in St. Paul’s writings, is, like so many expressions throughout the Epistle, one usual with St. Luke (Luke 22:68; Luke 23:16, etc.; Acts 3:13; Acts 4:21; where it expresses release from prison or captivity). He uses it also for dismissal of persons on a mission (Acts 13:3; Acts 15:30); and hence one view is that Timothy’s having already set out to visit the Church addressed is all that is here meant.
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee.Exodus 3:12
Of course, if the Lord sent Moses on an errand, He would not let him go alone. The tremendous risk which it would involve and the great power it would require would render it ridiculous for God to send a poor lone Hebrew to confront the mightiest king in all the world and then leave him to himself. It could not be imagined that a wise God would match poor Moses with Pharaoh and the enormous forces of Egypt. Hence He says, “Certainly I will be with thee,” as if it were out of the question that He would send him alone.
In my case, also, the same rule will hold good. If I go upon the Lord’s errand with a simple reliance upon His power and a single eye to His glory, it is certain that He will be with me. His sending me binds Him to back me up. Is not this enough? What more can I want? If all the angels and arch-angels were with me. I might fail; but if He is with me, I must succeed. Only let me take care that I act worthily toward this promise. Let me not go timidly, halfheartedly, carelessly, presumptuously. What manner of person ought he to be who has God with him! In such company it behoveth me to play the man and, like Moses, go in unto Pharaoh without fear.

From the moment we first trusted in Christ, we were declared as perfectly righteous in the sight of God as Jesus Himself is. Today, Sinclair Ferguson marvels at the wonder of justification by faith alone.
Author Joel Rosenberg believes some of the events unfolding around us hold biblical significance, particularly when it comes to Israel and the Middle East.
Rosenberg, an expert on biblical prophecy who now lives in Israel, recently spoke with CBN News about Hamas, the war in Gaza, and how current events might play into what the Bible says about future happenings and the end of days.
“That is the No. 1 question I’m getting asked … ‘Can you put this [current moment] in a prophetic context?’” Rosenberg said. “I would say, No. 1, we’re definitely in a birth pang, right? Jesus speaks in Matthew 24 that there’s going to be contractions and releases, moments of wars and rumors of wars, and kingdom against kingdom, nation against nation, as well as earthquakes and famines and other disasters.”
He continued, “Those are contractions and, just like when your wife gets close to delivering, … the contractions are longer and more painful, and the release moments are shorter.”
Watch Rosenberg break it all down:
Rosenberg said Israelis were living in a time of release on Oct. 6, 2023, as it was safe, prosperous, and secure — the safest it had been in modern history.
“You’d have to go back to the days of Solomon and David when the kingdom was peaceful and secure,” he said, noting Israel had just come off making four Arab-Israeli peace treaties and normalization treaties via the Abraham Accords. “We were just about to finalize another deal — the biggest peace and normalization deal in Israeli history — and that would be with the Saudi government.”
But all of that peace was obliterated by Hamas’ horrific terror attack on Oct. 7, 2023, an event he said was the “longest contraction” modern Israel has faced.
“I would add that, just in context, I believe COVID was a biblical Matthew 24 contraction where … a lot of people died. But the other part was … not only was there this terrible health pandemic, plague, a biblical plague, but even the American government could say in an instant, ‘You can’t go to church. You can’t leave your house. You can’t go see your friends, but the strip clubs could stay open. The casinos could stay open. The bars could stay open — the liquor stores, but not churches. That was a contraction.”
Another contraction, he said, is Russia’s elongated war in Ukraine, a chaotic and deadly ongoing event further creating international stability.
Rosenberg cited Amos 9:9 while discussing Israel’s current war after the Hamas invasion. That verse reads (NIV): “For I will give the command, and I will shake the people of Israel among all the nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, and not a pebble will reach the ground.”
He believes Amos 9:9 is a recurring prophecy, but that the current war in Israel is another “shaking” that falls under its umbrella.
“I don’t believe Israel’s under judgment … in other words, God didn’t send this enemy, but God … allowed it,” Rosenberg said. “Why? To shake us, to help us realize that most Israelis either haven’t read, don’t remember, or don’t care about Psalm 23, in which David, our greatest king, told us the Lord is our shepherd.”
He said some Israelis forgot, due to security, the realities inherent in this Scripture.
“We forgot as a nation that there are ravenous wolves trying to destroy us,” he said. “It shows what a moment of release of security we felt like we were in. But I think this is a wake-up call.”
As for the Palestinians of Gaza, Rosenberg said he believes they are facing a “biblical judgment,” appealing to Genesis 12:1-3 (NIV) to make his case. Those Scriptures read:
The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Rosenberg said the Abrahamic Covenant makes it clear God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who do not.
“If you curse Israel every day for 76 years, and you want to … elect a genocidal government, even if later you don’t want that, but what are you going to do now?” he said. “I believe we’re seeing a judgment. Doesn’t mean God doesn’t want to show mercy. Also, we need to pray as Christians. Who else is praying for the Palestinians? We need to be. We need to show compassion. But there’s a judgment going on from 76 years of hatred, hostility, cursing, and now, you know, an attempt at genocide against Israel and the Jewish people.”
Considering the prophetic verses in Bible books like Ezekiel — particularly the Gog and Magog prophecy — Rosenberg broke down his beliefs on what’s happening now and how it might relate.
“In terms of watching where we are going, there’s no question in my mind that we’re seeing the chess pieces on the board align in a manner that’s consistent with the prerequisites of Ezekiel 38-39 happening, the war of Gog and Magog,” Rosenberg said, referring to the Bible chapters that purportedly predict Russia, Iran and Turkey attempting to invade Israel.
But Rosenberg was also careful in addressing these issues, reminding Christians not to read too closely into what’s happening. He said dynamics can and do quickly shift.
“I just want to caution people who are interested in those prophecies … don’t try to jump to a fast conclusion,” he said. “The data doesn’t support yet a conclusion, but it definitely supports [the premise], ‘Isn’t this interesting?”
Watch above for more from Rosenberg on these topics.

U.S. — Christian influencer Richard Kickrider published a video on YouTube highlighting what he calls “a radical new life hack” where you can shave 7 books off your Bible-in-a-year plan by simply converting from Catholic to Protestant.
“Hey, brothers! Check out this sweet life hack! I just cut 7 books out of my Bible with this one simple trick!” Kickrider said in his 20-minute video. “I left the Catholic Church and — instant rapture — shorter Bible. Reading the Bible in a year has never been easier!”
The reason for varying Bible lengths has been a subject of great debate in Christendom for centuries. However, the relative ease of finishing the Protestant Bible in a year was simply undeniable.
“I’ve never been able to read the Bible in a year,” said YouTube commenter “PapistMcGee”. “But now it might just be possible!”
The video currently has 144,000 views and counting. Though the video has garnered over 10,000 likes, the comments section is filled with several posts calling for the excommunication of Richard Kickrider.
At publishing time, Richard Kickrider had published a new video warning fans against joining the Ethiopian Orthodox Church because their Bible is even longer, clocking in at a whopping 81 books.
BIG NEWS: We made a movie, and you can watch the trailer NOW:
No Republican has ever done what Donald J. Trump has done. Not even close.
Simply because no Republican has ever won three presidential elections, just to officially win two!
Yes, Donald J. Trump won the presidency three times.
And he did it up against the entire world! Trump had to beat the the entire Democrat Party, the entire Deep State and DC Swamp, globalists, communists, fascists, pretty much every corporate CEO and billionaire on earth, the mainstream media, social media, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, Wall Street, the entire judicial system, the entire education system (from teachers unions, to public schools, to colleges), even the RINOS in his own party, and at times, even Fox News.
Holy cannoli!
Wait, it gets better. Superhuman Donald J. Trump single handedly defeated, knocked out of power, and forced into early retirement the Clinton Crime Family, Biden Crime Family, Obama Crime Family, Kamala Crime Family, Bush Crime Family, Cheney Crime Family, Romney Crime Family and McCain Crime Family.
Not to mention the humiliating beatings he’s given to Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.
Holy crap!
These political brand names dominated and ruled America like royalty for decades. They ruled the Democrat Party and Republican Party. They took turns running the government. They dominated media headlines. They amassed power and wealth. Everyone bowed and genuflected in their presence.
And then along came Trump.
Trump vanquished every one of them. He slayed them like child’s play. He sent them packing. He left the most powerful, connected, vicious and cunning establishment “insiders” in history, sitting dumbfounded and speechless, on the outside looking in.
He made them so impotent, even Viagra couldn’t save this group from humiliation.
Now back to my contention that Trump won the presidency three times. Let’s actually look at what Trump accomplished in his three runs for president, because it’s crazy, wild and unimaginable! This guy is the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all-time).
First, in 2016 Trump ran a longshot campaign, with very little money or staff, against the most powerful, well-funded, and famous brand name in US political history- Hillary Clinton.
Trump started out at 1% in the polls. On that very day, I first boldly predicted Trump would be the next President of the United States in a column at Fox News.
Down in the polls the entire campaign, given no chance to win, and then by all accounts destroyed by a leaked videotape bragging about his sexual conquests, Trump went onto beat Hillary by an electoral landslide…
And Trump’s massive coattails brought along a GOP Senate, GOP House, GOP Governor majority, GOP state legislature majority, and even a Supreme Court majority.
Trump went on to appoint three new conservative Supreme Court judges to cement his legacy for decades to come.
Now fast forward to today. Trump just did it again.
And I predicted it again. I predicted a Trump electoral landslide, a swing state sweep and a 2-point popular vote victory. Which is exactly what just happened.
Against the entire establishment, against all odds, and again trailing in polls, Trump won another electoral landslide- including a swing state sweep, this time adding his first popular vote victory (by exactly 2 points)…
And once again his massive coattails brought along a GOP Senate, GOP House, GOP Governor majority, GOP state legislature majority, and conservatives now enjoy an even bigger Supreme Court majority.
This time around, Trump will almost certainly get to appoint at least two more conservative Supreme Court judges. That will give him five- the second most in history behind only George Washington.
Trump will also almost certainly break President Reagan’s all-time record of appointing the most combined federal judges.
Now to that other Trump presidential run in 2020. Some might argue what Trump accomplished in 2020 was just as impressive.
In a supposed “losing effort,” Trump received the most votes of any Republican in history, the most votes of any sitting president in history, and the biggest increase in votes for any president in history.
Trump’s 2024 vote total is now approaching 76 million…just about two million more than his record-setting 74 million in 2020. He just became the only president in history to increase his vote totals in three consecutive campaigns.
And something else came out of this 2024 victory. One might ask, where did 10 million Democrat votes go in four years? Kamala got just about 10 million less votes than Joe Biden.
Trump destroyed Kamala so badly, she received a $750 check from FEMA.
Trump’s landslide victory two weeks ago is further proof-positive that he won in 2020, but the election was stolen from him. Biden clearly benefited from the Covid crisis, expanded Covid mail-in voting rules, and 10 to 20 million fake mail-in ballots without Voter ID, for voters who never existed.
So, Trump really did win three presidential elections!
Trump really is the G.O.A.T. What he has accomplished has never happened before, and will never happen again.
Move over Ronald Reagan…
Donald J. Trump is the greatest Republican President ever.
And since no one in the American media has ever made as many accurate predictions about Trump as myself, I’ll add one more prediction…
After this second Trump term is over, and he has dismantled the Deep State and DC Swamp, and produced peace, prosperity and security for a second time, he will be regarded as one of the greatest presidents in history. Period.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democrats are sounding the alarm over Trump’s stated plan to shutter the Department of Education, saying such a move would put millions of kids in danger of becoming too smart to vote Democrat.
“Without government, kids no learn good,” Congressional Representative Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez warned. “You want no learn good?”
“For decades, our Department of Education has been doing the important work of ensuring kids stay economically, civically, and socially handicapped so that they’ll be reliable Democrat voters,” said Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona as he packed his office belongings into a cardboard box. “Now it appears our noble mission to keep children illiterate is being threatened. This could be catastrophic for the Democratic Party.”
“He must be stopped,” continued Cardona as tears began to well up in his eyes.
Education experts concur that empowering states to run their own schools could result in unapproved, non-Communist ideas being taught to susceptible young minds. “The impact on our loyal future electorate could be devastating,” said Union boss Randi Weingarten. “Children might learn terrible Republican things, like math. Voters knowing math would be an existential threat to the Democratic party.”
At publishing time, Democrats had also warned that abolishing the Fed could lead to citizens being too financially free to depend on the Government.
BIG NEWS: We made a movie, and you can watch the trailer NOW:
Netflix just dropped the trailer for ‘Mary,’ a “coming-of-age biblical epic that tells the story of one of history’s most profound figures and the remarkable journey that led to the birth of Jesus.”
Directed by DJ Caruso, a devout Roman Catholic, the film’s copy reads:
“Chosen to bring the Messiah into the world, Mary (Noa Cohen) is shunned following a miraculous conception and forced into hiding. When King Herod (Anthony Hopkins) orders a murderous hunt for her newborn baby, Mary and Joseph (Ido Tako) go on the run — bound by faith and driven by courage — to save his life at all costs.’
Releasing on December 6th and told through the eyes of Mary, it is almost sure that unbiblical Roman Catholic doctrines about the mother of Jesus will be present in some way, including the notion that she was immaculately conceived, was completely sinless and that she was a perpetual virgin, which Caruso seemingly suggests in interviews he has done with Aleteia. When asked about his inspiration for the film, Caruso offers:
“As a practicing Catholic, I believe Mary is the most extraordinary woman ever to walk this earth. Her story, especially for younger generations, has often been underappreciated. I wanted to create a film that presents Mary as someone we can all relate to … My hope is that audiences feel my reverence for Mary and come to see her not only as a holy figure but as a friend, a mother, and one of the greatest heroines ever to grace the screen. In the end, it’s her love that will save the world.”
Caruso reveals that the late Roman Catholic Bishop David G. O’Connell served as his “spiritual advisor” and “expert” on Mary and that with his help, the two of them:
“Carefully fictionalized the moments between Mary’s journey, adding tension, emotion, and pacing — all vital elements for compelling cinema — while preserving the truths of the miraculous events in her life. The plot remains faithful to the scriptures, with thoughtful interpretations that enhance the film’s central themes. In short, we aimed to honor the scriptures.”
He further insists:
“I want the audience to feel a deeper connection to Mary, to see a side of her they’ve never seen or imagined before. I hope the audience is inspired by her strength to overcome obstacles, just as she did. Ultimately, we can change the world if we fight for what is right and always choose love like Mary. My reverence for Mary runs deep, and I hope audiences come to view her as not only a holy figure but as a friend, a mother, and one of the greatest heroines ever to grace the screen.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Caruso likewise explains.
While (Mary) had fears and doubts, her courage and faith drove her to embrace her divine purpose. This film shines a light on that journey. By the film’s end, you will see that she has blossomed into the iconic Mary that so many adore.
Additionally, few people know the story of Mary’s birth — her parents’ quest to have a child and the miraculous outcome that resulted.
The reason that many people don’t know the story of Mary’s birth is that it is not in the bible but instead first pops up in the Protoevangelium of James, or Infancy Gospel of James, a pseudopigraphical book from the late second century that falsely purports to be written by the brother of Jesus and recounts apocryphal stories of Mary growing up.
When Mary is born, her parents keep close watch over her to make sure she cannot come into contact with any unclean thing, keeping her in her sanctuary-bedroom most of the time. At the age of three, Mary is taken to the temple and given to the priest.
…Mary lives in the temple until she is twelve; at that time, the priests decide she should marry, as it would not be proper for her to continue living in the temple. Joseph is chosen by lot to marry her, but he objects: “I have children, and I am an old man, and she is a young girl. I am afraid lest I become a laughing-stock to the sons of Israel.”
…Then comes the Roman decree for everyone to register in their hometown, so Joseph travels to Bethlehem with Mary and some of his sons by an earlier marriage.
…The Protoevangelium of James is the first work to insist that Mary remained a perpetual virgin. Joseph marries her simply to have her legally live in his home and had no intention of ever having sexual relations with her. He already has children through a previous marriage, so the “brothers” of Jesus are merely His stepbrothers and older than He is.
There is no reason to believe that Mary, though blessed among women, was immaculately conceived, remained sinless her whole life, and never engaged in sexual activity with her husband following Jesus’ birth.
Yet, the way things look, we expect all three to be suggested or hinted at in this film.
Just how utterly wrong could the Democrats have been?
I expect that already a number of experts are penning extensive and well-documented books on just how incredibly inept and dysfunctional Kamala was with this entire election process. The titles could be: “How to Lose an Election in 20 Easy Steps” or “How NOT To Run a Campaign” and so on. And university courses could also soon appear on this (at least if the uni is not too woke).
Indeed, if Trump further drains the swamp and reduces the ugly influence of the leftist Machine, we might have more universities that actually teach their students how to think instead of what to think. Perhaps then they might even be able to pen a thesis on how Kamala’s loss was a textbook case of how no one should run a campaign. Short summary (as per Jesse Watters): “The Democrats destroyed themselves trying to destroy Trump.”
Yep, simply hating Trump and pushing abortion is NOT how you win the White House. The Dems now mainly consist of wealthy leftist elites that live on the east and west coasts, who are clueless about the pain ordinary Americans are now experiencing. These Dems cannot tell you what the price of eggs is, nor how much it costs to fill the gas tank and pay the mortgage.
The mere masses, however, CAN tell you that. That, in a nutshell, is why the country voted big time for Trump, and big time rejected the cackling Kamala. The Dems are now the party of the elites, and the Repubs are now the party of the working class.
Kamala and Tim wanted tampons in boys’ bathrooms, while Trump wanted to fix a massively messed-up America. The two parties could not have been further apart. As one gal put it: “I’m voting red so my sons don’t have to fight in a WW3, you’re voting blue so your son can become your daughter. We are not the same.”
They actually thought that spending kazillions of dollars to get Lady Gaga, Kate Perry, Oprah and a heap of other celebs was going to resonate with ordinary Americans when they are struggling to put food on the table to feed their families. What out-of-touch fools they are – they are clueless Marxists, elitists, and haters.
They spend all their time at cocktail parties in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and are so out of touch with where America is at that they had no chance to win this election. And all the mistakes made along the way are further compounded when one considers how much dough they blew on all this.
Misled
Simply consider the outrageous spending on this campaign. Over 1 billion dollars was raised, but Kamala still ended up with her campaign being in debt. How in the world was Kamala going to fix the US economy? In contrast, the Trump team spent around a third of this.
In this regard, let me quote from two important articles, both by Democrats. In the first piece we have an assessment of what one fundraiser is now saying about the Harris campaign. It begins:
A surrogate for Kamala Harris’ campaign against now-President-elect Donald Trump told “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Saturday that she was “misled” by top officials and that the overall effort by the vice president was an “epic disaster.”
Lindy Li, who said she raised “millions” for Harris, explained to co-host Will Cain that Harris campaign officials made a series of false promises and repeatedly claimed that the internal data showed the vice president would handily defeat Trump. “This is just an epic disaster. This is a one-billion-dollar disaster,” Li said, referencing how the losing Harris campaign blew through $1 billion in fundraising and ended up with millions of dollars in debt.
“It’s incredible, and I raised millions of that. I have friends that I have to be accountable to and to explain what happened because I told them it was a margin of error race,” she added. Li stated that Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon assured all Harris surrogates that the vice president would win, even going so far as to produce videos to reinforce the message. “I believed her. My daughters believed her. And so, they wrote massive checks,” Li told the Fox News co-host. “I feel like a lot of us were misled.”
She also told Cain earlier in the interview that the “backstabbing” between Biden and Harris began long before the vice president replaced him on the 2024 ticket. “It was a lot of backstabbing we saw in the press; people were leaking stuff all the time. The White House was leaking like a sieve when it came to Kamala Harris,” said Li.
“In the final years she was able to stabilize and stop the bleeding of her staff because there was a lot of turnover as well. And we saw the press report about that. And things have finally started to calm down,” she said, going on to add that President Joe Biden’s rapid endorsement of his VP was in response to his anger at the Democratic machine for forcing him out. “Kamala Harris wasn’t at the top of the ticket,” Li said. “Biden’s endorsement of Harris caught a lot of people off guard. Even the chief Dems of the party.”
“I really think it was a big fu— a big ‘F you,’ I’m so sorry,” she said to Cain, catching herself before finishing the statement. She also said that there was constant friction between the Biden and Harris camps. Finger-pointing has also erupted over the Harris campaign’s decision to spend up to $20 million on swing-state concerts Monday night, just hours before the VP’s crushing election loss to Donald Trump.
According to the New York Post, the spending has sparked concerns that everyday staff and vendors may not get paid, as reports indicate the campaign is in debt by the same amount. If they get stiffed, it’s likely that Harris’ campaign could face legal action, especially from vendors who want what’s owed them.
Tone-Deaf
Listen also to the words of Democratic fundraiser Evan Barker, who wrote: “The Democratic Party turned its back on me and my family long before I turned my back on it.” She ended up voting for Trump! As she wrote:
I was 17 when I started working in Democratic politics. While still in high school, I was an intern for Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign; later, I served as a field organizer for Hillary Clinton. By the time I turned 26, I was a consultant for dozens of U.S. House and Senate campaigns, four George Soros-backed district attorney races, and a wide range of Democratic organizations. I’ve raised at least $50 million for the left.
And yet, on Tuesday, I voted for Donald Trump. It felt like the biggest middle finger I’ve ever raised to the party I’d supported for most of my adult life. When he won, I was utterly euphoric. Let me tell you why…
She goes on to discuss her background and then says this:
The truth is, I’d been slowly disconnecting from the party. When I volunteered to work at the Democratic National Convention this year, I was hoping to feel inspired again. Instead, when I got there, I encountered the same social snobbery as always, with consultants and higher-ups looking down on volunteers. Donor suites and corporate media suites intermingled in the same area, and extremely rich people mindlessly chanted “joy” and “respect.” Harris had no policies or programs on her website, and yet, an arena of tens of thousands seemed deliriously high, spellbound by her identity as a woman of color running for president. Her political emptiness allowed them to project their own hopes and desires onto her.
The final straw was Oprah Winfrey’s tone-deaf speech. A larger than life Hollywood billionaire so far removed from the experience of average Americans — indeed, from her own experience growing up poor in rural Mississippi — her presence was dumbfounding to me. She said nothing that spoke to the Americans who had once constituted the Democratic base. People like my mom and grandmother, who now must live together because the rents are too high, who live solely on their Social Security checks, who can eat only one meal a day for most weeks because they literally can’t afford to buy as many groceries as they used to. I had seen enough. I was done.
The Democratic Party has evolved into a group that signals virtue but lacks real values. It’s a group that panders but never produces. Advancing LGBTQ rights and a woman’s right to choose are essential freedoms in our country, but when it’s all you have to offer because your constituency is so far removed from the material conditions of regular people, what you get is a candidate who stands for nothing, who could never articulate her vision for America.
Thus I found myself at Donald Trump’s official election night party at the Palm Beach Convention Center. I could scarcely believe I was cheering with the crowd as each swing state turned red. But I was, and I felt the same sense of elation I felt when Obama won in 2008. It was clear that evening, and in the subsequent days as the data came in, that my former friends among the Democratic elite could no longer claim the “racist” white working class put Donald Trump back in the White House. Not when 16 percent of black voters and 45 percent of Latino voters broke for Trump.
Massive Meltdowns
And then consider the bizarre Kamala supporters and the hysterical meltdowns that they are having. Prestigious Ivy League universities are letting students take off classes and get therapy, including milk and cookies, to help deal with their loss and grief – I kid you not. Psychiatrists are advising these woke snowflakes to stay away from their own families and friends, including at Thanksgiving and Christmas, if they happen to have voted for Trump.
These folks are utterly bonkers. To paraphrase Lesley Gore, ‘It’s Trump’s party, and the lefty loons can cry if they want to.’ But regrettably, there is much, much more to this progressive crack-up. Consider also the 4B movement. Leftist loony women have vowed to shave their heads and stop having sex and babies with any men who dared to vote for Trump. Hey, that is good news in my books. No more promiscuous sex, no more abortions, and so on. Matt Walsh put it this way:
Shortly after Trump’s victory, social media started buzzing with tweets like, “Women need to stop dating and having sex with men immediately, and I’m not joking or being dramatic in the slightest.” Another tweet declared, “Ladies, close off your wombs to males. This election proves that they hate us.” Yet another announced a commitment to the “4B movement” from South Korea: no dating, no marriage, no kids with men — all in protest. Essentially, they’re swearing off men, assuming it’s a punishment for us.
But here’s the thing: these women aren’t making exceptions for men who voted for Kamala. They’re banning all men, which is basically them admitting that they’re only attracted to conservative men. The male Kamala voters who tried to appease these women are now tossed aside, punished for something they didn’t even do. That’s what they get for debasing themselves, I guess.
Let’s be real: these women think they’re punishing men by “opting out” of relationships. But for single conservative men, this is actually a relief. No one wants to end up with a bitter, miserable activist who blames Trump for everything. If they want to “punish” us by going extinct, who am I to stand in their way?
A sensible and conservative woman put it this way: “Liberal chicks are vowing to stay away from men, refusing marriage, dating, sex and child-bearing completely – calling it 4B. Looks like we just solved the abortion crisis and made it exceptionally easy for men to avoid dating crazy psychopaths. Winning.”
These folks are still going troppo about their major god: abortion on demand. Some have now resorted to casting spells and the like. Lauren Witzke responded this way: “Women in America are so demonic. Summoning demons and casting spells because they want an unfiltered right to slaughter their own little babies in the womb. Like? Go to therapy.”
There are so many massive wins coming out of this election that are worth discussing. Too many items could be mentioned. But if we had to reduce it all to a few quick bullet points, I guess we can put it this way:
Trump won and kept Hillary out of the White House in 2016.
Trump won and kept Kamala out of the White House in 2024.
These will be among his greatest triumphs and most vital services to America and the world.
