Sanctity of Human Life Day and the power of the presidency

Roe v. Wade was decided on January 22, 1973. In response, this day each year is proclaimed “National Sanctity of Human Life Day” by pro-life supporters. When Donald Trump was last in office, he issued a proclamation marking this day in which he stated:

Restoring a culture of respect for the sacredness of life is fundamental to solving our country’s most pressing problems. When each person is treated as a beloved child of God, individuals can reach their full potential, communities will flourish, and America will be a place of even greater hope and freedom.

By contrast, President Joe Biden issued a proclamation in 2023 affirming elective abortion, denouncing the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, and calling on Americans to “work together to restore the right to choose.”

Now that Mr. Trump has returned to the White House, advocates for life are hopeful. Since they are the most defenseless of all humans, any support for the preborn is welcome.

At the same time, this cultural moment is a call to each of us personally, an opportunity that extends to every moral decision we face today.

Reasons women choose abortion

Let’s begin with the reasons women say they chose abortion:

• Not financially prepared: 40 percent
• Not a good time: 36 percent
• Issues with partner: 31 percent
• Need to focus on other children: 29 percent
• Interferes with future plans: 20 percent
• Not emotionally or mentally prepared: 19 percent

Only 12 percent say they chose abortion because of a “health issue.” (Only 1.14 percent of abortions are actually performed for the mother’s life or physical health.)

When a woman aborts her child, she can typically do so privately: 63 percent of all abortions last year were the result of “medication abortions” rather than visits to an abortion clinic. As a result, presidential proclamations, state laws restricting abortion access, sermons, and articles like this one are unlikely to be persuasive when the actual abortion decision is made.

What is true of abortion is true of most of our moral decisions, from pornography viewed digitally on personal devices, to affairs arranged online, to “pods” enabling people to die by suicide at home: they can be made privately, away from the influence of government officials or institutions.

“Jews have no dealings with Samaritans”

You and I have a personal role to play in protecting preborn children, a calling that pertains to every moral choice our society faces today.

The good news is that it is a call every believer can answer in ways that save lives and change souls.

In John 4, we find Jesus in a conversation most people in his day would have found shocking. He was a Jew talking with a Samaritan at a time when “Jews have no dealings with Samaritans” (v. 9), a man talking to a woman in public, and a rabbi talking to a woman who has had five husbands and is now living with a man who is not her husband (v. 18).

Nonetheless, by the end of their conversation, she sought and received the “living water” of Christ (vv. 13–15) and was so transformed that she led her entire village to meet him (vv. 28–30), with the result that “many Samaritans from that town believed in him” (v. 39) as “the Savior of the world” (v. 42).

This story is in God’s word so we can make Jesus’ strategy our own. With regard to abortion:

One: Choose to care for women in crisis.

Jesus chose to go to Samaria (v. 4) out of his desire “to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). He loves each of us as if there were only one of us (St. Augustine), including women considering abortion.

No woman wants to be in this situation. The physical pain alone is significant, not to mention the emotional toll she is experiencing. At such a time, she needs the compassion of those who seek to help her choose life for her preborn child.

Two: Meet their practical needs.

Jesus went to this woman at Jacob’s well, knowing that she would never come to him. Given her personal circumstances, she would not have joined the crowds listening to him teach, much less sought to join his band of disciples. She came to the well for water, so he started their conversation with water (John 4:7).

In the same way, we can ask God to lead us to help women considering abortion, then engage in practical ways to meet their practical needs. If we do not know such women personally, we can still serve them through those who do. Pro-life ministries help women facing at-risk pregnancies with financial, relational, and counseling resources. We can support these ministries with our intercession, finances, and time, knowing that every life they save is an extension of our faithfulness to God’s call.

Three: Lead to the “living water” of Christ.

Jesus began with water and led the Samaritan woman to the “living water” found only in him. We can do the same as we pray for those considering abortion (1 Timothy 2:1), share our faith story (cf. Acts 22:1–21), explain the gospel (John 3:16), and answer their questions (cf. Isaiah 1:18). (For help, see my new website article, “Why would ministers ‘bless’ abortion clinics? Ultimately, we help them most when we help them meet Jesus for themselves. He alone can change their hearts and transform their lives.

What is true of abortion is true of other moral issues: When we care with the compassion of Christ, meet practical needs in his power, and lead people to a personal encounter with our living Lord, we become change agents on a scale that transforms souls and society.

In Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling, Andy Crouch writes,

“To be Christian is to stake our lives on this belief: the only cultural goods that ultimately matter are the ones that love creates.”

The Truth about Vaccines and Aborted Fetal Cells | IFA

A recent interview on the Tucker Carlson show, which highlighted the use of aborted fetuses in vaccine research, is going viral. Clips from the interview, featuring medical freedom attorney Aaron Siri, have been circulating through social media, sparking conversations and debate over the unethical practices of researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies.

“In every single dose of an MMR (Measles Mumps Rubella) shot, there are literally millions of pieces from the cultured cell line of an aborted fetus. In every single injection,” Siri said. “Now, again, that might sound crazy, but I could literally pull up right now the CDC’s own ingredient list  for the MMR vaccine.”

How are Aborted Fetal Cells Obtained?

Upon hearing this information, a visibly disturbed Tucker Carlson prompted Siri to elaborate on the process used to procure the cells from the fetuses. Siri explained that all viruses must be grown in cells. The ingredients listed as MRC-5 and WI-38 are cultured cell lines obtained from aborted fetuses. He stresses, however, that in order for a viable vaccine to be developed, the tissues (cells) must be “alive.” He added that those procuring the samples from the aborted babies must “immediately act to make sure the tissues don’t die.”

Stanley Plotkin: The “Godfather of Vaccines”

Siri went on to share information that further shocked Carlson where he described the research of one of the world’s most prominent vaccine experts, Dr. Stanley Plotkin. In 1988, Plotkin developed the standard textbook for vaccines titled Plotkin’s Vaccines. Bill Gates has called his book the “bible for vaccinologists.” Plotkin, who is an atheist, has been quoted as saying that he hopes his book is “more accurate than the Bible.” Plotkin has been a consultant for pharmaceutical companies for decades, offering advice on how to make their products.

In the past, Siri deposed Dr. Plotkin in court, where he testified about how the tissues of aborted fetuses are obtained. The apathetic Plotkin revealed under oath that one of the vaccine studies he presided over included over 70 healthy fetuses, aged three months and older. Body parts of these babies, including the lung, skin, pituitary gland, kidneys, spleen and heart were cut into pieces and then viruses were cultured on them to determine which medium could produce a viable vaccine. At one point, Plotkin snickered when asked if the tongues of the fetuses were used in the experimental study. To this question he responded, “I don’t recall, but probably yes.”

Siri continued, reminding Dr. Plotkin that that was just one experimental study where aborted fetuses were used for research. He asked if more babies were used in other studies. Without emotion, Plotkin stated, “I don’t remember the exact number, but quite a few.”

Siri probed further, inquiring “Are you aware that one of the objections to vaccination by the plaintiff in this case is the inclusion of aborted fetal tissue in the development of vaccines and the fact that it’s part of the ingredients in vaccines?”

Plotkin responded, “I’m aware of those objections.”

Siri fired back, “Do you take issue with religious beliefs?”

Plotkin answered, “Yes.”

Siri reminded Plotkin that he’d been quoted as saying that “Vaccination is always under attack by religious zealots who believe that the will of God includes death and disease.” Without batting an eye, Plotkin declared that he still stood by thar statement.

Experimental Testing on Orphans and the Mentally Disabled

Plotkin’s admissions under oath were sobering. At one point he acknowledged the use of experimental vaccines on orphans and the mentally disabled for testing purposes. Additionally, he testified that he made the following statement in a letter to the editor of ethics on human experimentation: “The question is whether we are to have experiments performed on fully functioning adults and on children who are potentially contributors to society, or to perform initial studies in children and adults who are human in form, but not in social potential. It may be objected that this question implies a Nazi philosophy, but I do not think that it’s difficult to distinguish non-functioning persons from members of ethnic, racial, economic or other groups.” Plotkin also stated he had used babies of mothers in prison to study experimental vaccines, as well as individuals who were under some form of colonial rule.

Siri explains in his interview with Carlson that when it comes to the development of vaccines, “A lot of times they like to say they only involved a few babies, way back when. So, I have a whole series in these depositions showing it’s not a few babies way back when. It was a lot of babies and it’s still ongoing. And this industry has only grown.” Both Siri and Carlson agree that babies have been sacrificed for health, as the pharma industry profits from abortions and fetal tissue.

Do Not Ignore the Facts

Dr. Theresa Deisher is the president and founder of Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization “with a mission to end human trafficking and exploitation for the purposes of biomedical research and commercial products.” With over 30 years of pharmaceutical research and leadership experience, she is well-educated on how human fetal tissue is used. In the past, she has appeared on shows like The High Wire, speaking about the inhumane way that fetuses are procured and utilized for scientific research.

Dr. Deisher reveals, “What you have are procurement companies, who are working side by side literally with the abortionist, typically right in the building. What happens with the heart is that it will actually go into this contracture, and once that happens, you can’t get good data from it. So, the tissue really becomes useless. It has to be flushed. It has to be put into a preservative that stops the heart within two minutes. The baby has to be born alive, or they’re not going to be able to get the heart and get it rushed and get it in the blocked solution so they can preserve it for processing.”

She adds that when a baby’s heart is cut out, he/she is not given any anesthetic. “I would never do this to a mouse or a rat. I would not be surprised that we might get some hard numbers not in the so distant future that abortions are delayed later and later so that the scientists and the procurement companies can get better late-term tissue.”

Which Vaccines Use Aborted Fetal Cells/Tissue?

Deisher’s website lists the vaccines which utilize aborted fetal materials (human diploid cells). They include the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Poliomyelitis (DTaP/TdP), Varicella (Chickenpox), Shingles, Hepatitis A & B, Rabies, and some Coronavirus vaccines.  These vaccines contain “human fetal DNA fragments and cellular debris, and in quite high levels.”

On Deisher’s website, it states, “The United States government has known about the dangers of human DNA from aborted fetal cell-lines since at least 2005. They set guidelines which are supposed to keep the DNA at a specific limit, which they hypothesize will not cause cancer. There is no monitoring of vaccines by our government agencies to ensure those limits are adhered to. Vaccines (MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis A) sent for independent analysis have consistently shown levels of human fetal DNA that are far beyond the ‘established safety limits.’”

Dr. Deisher continues to sound the alarm about using aborted fetuses in medical research. In 2019 she wrote an open letter describing the potential harms to children. She warns, “We absolutely know that the levels of DNA in these vaccines get into our children’s bloodstream at levels that are above sometimes 100-fold higher than levels of fetal DNA that has been demonstrated to massively activate the immune response, causing a general cytokine release and cytokines are toxins. And we are giving children 10 to 100-fold higher concentrations…The pharmaceutical companies have never measured cytokine release and they’ve never measured that acute auto-immune response.”

In 2023, Dr. Jim Meehan also discussed the use of aborted fetal cells in vaccines on The High Wire, stressing that many vaccines contain residual components of human DNA. He adds that even the names of the cell lines, which are denoted as letters and numbers, dehumanize the children who were sacrificed to “become the endless production substrate” for certain vaccines.

How Many Aborted Fetal Cell Lines Exist?

Other fetal cell lines are utilized for vaccines besides the MRC-5 and WI-38. The HEK293 cell line is derived from human embryonic kidney cells, while the PER.C6 line is procured from human embryonic retinal cells. IFA reported on the brutal origins of the HEK293 cell line and its link to the Covid vaccine back in 2021.

In 2015 a new cell line was created for use in vaccines known as WALVAX 2. It was taken from the lung tissue of a “3-month gestation female who was selected from among 9 aborted babies.” Specific guidelines were followed to “mimic WI-38 and MRC-5 in selecting the aborted babies, ranging from 2-4 months gestation.” Scientists described how they “induced labor using a ‘water bag’ abortion to shorten the delivery time and prevent the death of the fetus to ensure live intact organs which were immediately sent to the labs for cell preparation.”

As Intercessors, How Do We Respond?

The issue of aborted fetal cell lines in vaccines is of utmost importance. As intercessors, we cannot just sweep this information under the rug. During the COVID pandemic, people became more aware of vaccines and their ingredients. As light continues to be shed, this provides intercessors with an opportunity for deep prayer.

First and foremost, we should pray that God has mercy upon our nation for this grievous sin against innocent babies. Ask the Lord to specifically direct our response both individually and as the Body of Christ.

Secondly, we must pray for the people (lawyers, scientists, doctors, journalists, pastors, parents, etc.) who are informing the public about the use of aborted fetal tissue (cells) in medical research and products such as vaccines. Pray they would not be hindered, censored or canceled, as they bring this information to light. Also, pray for their protection as they do battle against a fierce enemy that wants the truth hidden.

Third, pray that the public would have ears to hear, instead of turning a blind eye to what’s happening in the pharmaceutical industry. Instead of putting faith in vaccines, pray that people would turn to Jesus Christ, the Great Healer, to protect them from sickness and disease.

Fourth, pray that the funding for medical research utilizing aborted fetal cells/tissue would run dry and that scientists/doctors involved in this research would repent and cease from engaging in this type of work.

Fifth and most importantly, ask Jesus to restore our medical system so that the products and treatments on the market are safe, ethical and pleasing to God.

Lord Jesus, our hearts are grieved about the way innocent babies have been used in the pharmaceutical/medical industry. Even though this information is hard to hear, continue opening our eyes so we can make informed decisions about vaccines and protect our children and ourselves, from harm.

Biden Awards Presidential Medals to Far-Left Radicals | The Daily Declaration

In one of the final acts of his 55-year political career, outgoing President Joe Biden distributed prestigious awards to a bevy of left-wing activists. At a ceremony on Thursday, Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honour — to longtime Democrat Hillary Clinton and billionaire George Soros, as well as pro-abortion rock star Bono, LGBT activist Tim Gill, and climate change activist William Sanford Nye, best known as “Bill Nye the Science Guy”. Biden also awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal to pro-abortion radical Eleanor Smeal and LGBT activists Mary Bonauto and Evan Wolfson.

Smeal is known as the founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation and the organiser of the first national pro-abortion rally, which took place in Washington, D.C. in 1986. She is considered to have influenced the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which has been used to target and imprison pro-life Americans under Biden’s presidency, and was a major proponent of the failed Equal Rights Amendment in the 1970s and 80s. In 1987, Smeal, who was baptised Catholic, was one of a dozen protestors arrested for staging a rally outside of the Vatican’s embassy in the U.S. ahead of Pope John Paul II’s visit. The rally was intended to oppose the Catholic Church’s long-held moral teachings on abortion and homosexuality.

Mary Bonauto is best recognised as the lawyer who argued for same-sex marriage before the U.S. Supreme Court in Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015, but she has a long history of LGBT advocacy and activism, including successfully repealing section three of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, which legally defined marriage as a union between one man and one woman. Bonauto was also responsible for the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine.

Once named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world, Evan Wolfson founded the same-sex marriage advocacy organisation Freedom to Marry, which is now defunct thanks to Bonauto’s work. Wolfson also argued before the Supreme Court in Boy Scouts of America v. Dale, a case which centred on whether or not the Boy Scouts could expel a Scoutmaster for identifying as homosexual.

Disgrace

In comments to The Washington Stand, Mary Szoch, director of the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council, quoted Pope John Paul II, who said that “freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.” She continued,

“President Biden’s current recipients of these various medals worked the majority of their careers to undermine true freedom and advance the culture of death.”

Referring to the abortion activism evinced over the course of decades by Clinton, Soros, and Smeal, Szoch stated, “Whether through the push of abortion on women directly, paying protestors to stand against life, funding or being pro-abortion politicians, or working to instil a hatred and fear of motherhood in our nation, Clinton, Soros, and Smeal have hindered the cause for true freedom in our nation.” She added, “Their award is a sham and a disgrace. Americans deserve better.”

On Monday night’s episode of Washington Watch, Family Research Council president Tony Perkins said that the billionaire Democrat mega-donor Soros “has done more to undermine democracies around the globe with his funding of leftist policies, pro-abortion, radical policies that he pushes” than just about anyone else.

Rep. Erin Houchin (R-Ind.) agreed, observing that giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Soros is “a slap in the face to crime victims across the country, to conservative Americans,” because Soros “has made it his mission to undermine every American city that he can [by funding the campaigns of] soft-on-crime prosecutor who will not prosecute even property crimes, let alone other crimes.” She said that granting the award is a way for Biden “to poke the American people in the eye on his way out of office, and it’s sad.”

Tyler O’Neil, managing editor at The Daily Signal and author of Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government, stated on Washington Watch,

“The main problem that we have is Biden has this false veneer of himself as a moderate, as the adult in the room, when in reality he is the most radical president we’ve ever had, if you look at his policies. And one of the main reasons is because of the woke bureaucrats that George Soros is helping to fund and staff the federal government with.”

O’Neil added, “It’s very revealing that it wasn’t George Soros receiving that physical medal. It was his son, Alex Soros, who currently is running the Open Society Foundations, which is the vast dark money network that his father created.”

“Civilizations Die From Suicide”: Here Are 16 Signs That Our Society Is Doing Exactly That | End Of The American Dream

When I write about “the collapse of society”, a lot of people out there think that I am exaggerating.  Sadly, the truth is that I am not exaggerating at all.  The United States was once the greatest country in the world, but now we have become one of the most self-destructive societies that the world has ever seen.  We have turned our backs on the values of our forefathers, and we are literally destroying everything that they worked so hard to give us.

Earlier today, I came across a quote from historian Arnold Toynbee that really resonated with me…

In the mid-20th century, historian Arnold Toynbee, who had studied the varying fates of 28 societies, said: “Civilisations die from suicide, not from murder.”

He is right.

Most great civilizations throughout history have been destroyed from within, and now the exact same thing is happening to us.

The following are 16 signs that America is literally committing suicide right in front of our eyes…

#1 Our suicide rate just keeps going higher and higher…

According to new data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the suicide rate in the United States recently reached its highest peak since 1941.

#2 Meanwhile, our birth rate just fell to the lowest level ever recorded…

In 2023, the US fertility rate fell another 3% from the year before, to a historic low of about 55 births for every 1,000 females ages 15 to 44, according to final data published Tuesday by the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics. Just under 3.6 million babies were born last year, about 68,000 fewer than the year before.

Since 2007, when the fertility rate was at its most recent high, the number of births has declined 17%, and the general fertility rate has declined 21%, according to the new report.

#3 As a society, we are increasingly rejecting the traditional family unit.  As I discussed the other day, the percentage of the population that is single and childless is now greater than the percentage of the population that is married with children.

#4 Instead of greatly valuing our children, we are becoming an anti-child society.  In Texas, law enforcement authorities tell us that there is an epidemic of mothers abandoning their children…

Statewide, according to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, at least 18 babies have been abandoned this year. The latest occurred just before Christmas at a Whataburger in San Antonio. A decade ago, the number was seven.

#5 The number of abortions in the United States is actually higher than it was before Roe v. Wade was overturned…

Abortion has become slightly more common despite bans or deep restrictions in most Republican-controlled states, and the legal and political fights over its future are not over yet.

It’s now been two and a half years since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and opened the door for states to implement bans.

#6 Approximately one out of every ten abortions in the U.S. happens “via pills prescribed via telehealth to patients in states where abortion is banned”…

But now, it’s become more common for pill prescriptions to be made by telehealth. By the summer of 2024, about 1 in 10 abortions was via pills prescribed via telehealth to patients in states where abortion is banned.

#7 Tissue from aborted fetuses is used in some of the most horrifying ways imaginable.

#8 A woman was just burned alive while she was riding the subway in New York, and everyone is acting like this is perfectly normal…

A grand jury has indicted the man accused of fatally setting a woman on fire a New York City subway train, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced.

Investigators said Sebastian Zapeta, 33, used a lighter to set the unidentified woman’s clothes on fire as she slept inside a train car at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station on Dec. 22.

Zapeta used a shirt to fan the flames, according to the criminal complaint. He is charged with one court of 1st degree murder, three counts of 2nd degree murder and one court of 1st degree arson related to the attack.

#9 Thanks to the self-destructive border policies of our politicians, an ultra-violent Venezuelan gang is now entrenched in 18 U.S. states…

Fears are growing over the spread of a violent Venezuelan gang across the US, with experts warning the mobsters could have a foothold in more than half the country by February next year.

It emerged earlier this month that Tren de Aragua, which has been dubbed the ‘epitome of evil’ and ‘MS-13 on steroids’, is already operating in 18 states.

This includes some of the most remote corners of the America in Colorado, North Dakota, Montana, Nevada and Wyoming. The bloodthirsty criminals also maintain strongholds in major cities across Texas as well as New York and Chicago.

#10 Even when criminals are arrested, they are often put back into the streets over and over again.  In Florida, a 31-year-old man was just arrested for the 35th time…

Police say Kevin Campana, 31, was arrested for his 35th time in Volusia County after stealing a car and attempting to escape officers Dec. 23.

The Edgwater Police Department says Campana broke into Hibiscus Wholesale Auto Parts Inc. on Monday and stole a car while wearing no shoes.

Officers say Campana attempted to escape police in a car chase, which ended in a head-on crash with a K-9 units car.

#11 Kids are committing very serious crimes all over the country.  In fact, a 9-year-old kid was just arrested for being involved in a carjacking in Baltimore…

Local news Fox Baltimore reports three juveniles, including a 9-year-old, and two adults were arrested last Sunday in connection to an armed carjacking near the 3900 block of East Lombard Street.

“Once there, officers spoke with a 32-year-old woman who stated while stopped at a stop sign at Grundy at Bank Street, four male suspects approached her vehicle. One suspect, described as a white male, produced a metal tool, smashing her window. The suspect then proceeded to drag the woman from the vehicle and fled the location in the victim’s car,” the local outlet said.

Officers arrested a 21-year-old man, a 15-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy, and a 9-year-old boy after a short foot pursuit. The 21 and 16-year-olds were taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, while the 15-year-old was taken to the Department of Juvenile Services. The 9-year-old was released to his parents.

A judge decided that married gay couple William and Zachary Zulock – once darlings of the LGBTQ scene in Georgia – will each serve 100 years in prison for sodomizing their young sons, recording the sex acts and providing videos of the abuse to other pedophiles, 11Alive reported.

The horrific abuse was believed to take place when the boys were as young as three and five years old.

Some former churches are being converted for businesses or residential use. One old Methodist church in Atlanta, which was down to about 60 members when it closed, was sold to a luxury real estate developer seven years ago. Now, it’s become a series of 3,000-square-foot condos.

If we stay on the road that we are currently on, our society will die.

But if we reverse course and start doing what is right with all our hearts, anything is possible.

We were once a light to the entire world, and we can be that light again.

They say that when America sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold. At least that remains true for the Western world. A great example of that was seen in the State of Queensland in Australia this October.

The ruling Labor party seemed on course for a crushing defeat in the State elections, when the Premier Stephen Miles decided to make abortion an issue. Taking a leaf out of the Kamala Harris playbook, he suddenly started arguing that ‘women’s reproductive health rights were at stake’. Although he did not win, it was intriguing that most of the mainstream media in Australia saw this as a sensible vote-winning tactic.

What was striking was the language used – which was exactly the same as that used by Kamala Harris in the US. Together with Michelle Obama and celebrities like Beyoncé, Harris upped the rhetoric claiming that any restrictions on abortion are a ‘health care crisis’ and that what she incorrectly called ‘Trump’s abortion ban’ was killing women. What is always missed out in this discussion are the number of women who die because of the abortion pill, and the side effects of abortion, including mental health.

In Australia we are now using the American and Orwellian description of abortion as ‘reproductive health care’ and ‘a basic human right’. Given that the purpose of abortion is to prevent reproduction by killing the baby in the womb, calling abortion reproductive freedom is the equivalent of calling slavery economic freedom.

The Australian Catholic University found itself caught up in this when Joe de Bruyn, an important trade union leader and figure in the Labor party, was awarded an honorary doctorate at the ACU. In his acceptance speech he mentioned abortion while encouraging Catholic students to uphold Catholic doctrine – at a Catholic university. There was a widely reported mass walkout from some students and staff.

The Vice Chancellor apologised, and offered any students attending who were offended a refund of their graduation fee and counselling. Apparently, the traumatised students couldn’t cope with what was a mild statement of Catholic belief. One shudders to think what therapy they would need if they heard the Pope’s views, who recently declared that abortion is murder.

Sadly, Australia like other Western nations is demonstrating that, once you adopt progressive ideology, rather than advance into a land of joy, peace and life, you revert to the bloodshed and violence of paganism.

Joe Biden has awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the former president of the abortion provider Planned Parenthood.

Biden, who likes to describe himself as a “devout Catholic,” awarded Cecile Richards the medal during a private ceremony on Wednesday.

“Carrying her parents’ torch for justice, she’s led some of our Nation’s most important civil rights causes – to lift up the dignity of workers, defend and advance women’s reproductive rights and equality, and mobilize Americans to exercise their power to vote,” Biden reportedly said during the ceremony.

“A leader of utmost character, she has carved an inspiring legacy that endures in her incredible family, the countless lives she has made better, and a Nation seeking the light of equality, justice, and freedom.”

Today, I had the honor of awarding Cecile Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

With absolute courage, she fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are – a nation of freedom.

Richards left Planned Parenthood in 2018 after serving as its president for 12 years. Under her leadership, millions of babies were aborted that might otherwise have had a chance at life.

Richards, who is the daughter of the former Texas Governor Ann Richards, revealed earlier this year she had been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

It also happens to be the same condition that killed Biden’s late son Beau.

Her interest in abortion was partially the result of having had one herself, which she said at the time was “wasn’t a difficult decision.”

“I had an abortion. It was the right decision for me and my husband, and it wasn’t a difficult decision,” Richards wrote back in 2014.

“Before becoming president of Planned Parenthood eight years ago, I hadn’t really talked about it beyond family and close friends.”

“But I’m here to say, when politicians argue and shout about abortion, they’re talking about me — and millions of other women around the country.”

The Presidential Medal of Freedom remains America’s highest civilian honor and is typically reserved for those who have made extraodinary contributions to society.

Back in July, Biden awarded the medal to 19 separate people, including former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, former Vice President Al Gore and the women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe.

2024 Election Results — What You Need to Know | IFA

2024’s election was perhaps the most tumultuous and interesting in our nation’s history, and November 5 will certainly be a day to remember for centuries to come. As of Wednesday morning the majority of votes have been counted and the majority of races have been called. As more votes are counted, we will update this article as needed.

Here are the current results:

The Presidency

AP News called the race for President Donald J. Trump at 5:35 a.m. EST on Wednesday. This followed Trump’s victories in multiple key swing states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Although votes are still being counter and some states are still undecided, Trump has secured the 270 votes necessary to return to the White House.

As of 10:30 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Trump has 277 electoral votes for Harris’ 224. Trump also secured 71 million votes to Harris’ 66 million, meaning that he won the popular vote as well.

The Senate

Arguably as newsworthy as Trump’s victory is the many Republican victories in the Senate. The GOP has won several key races, flipping Senate seats in Montana, Ohio, and West Virginia. This means that, going into 2025, Republicans will control the upper chamber of Congress as well as the White House.

As of 10:30 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Republicans have flipped three seats, giving them 52 Senators compared to the Democrats’ 42 (including 3 independents who caucus with the party).

The House

Republicans went into the election with a slim majority in the House and, thus far, they are keeping that majority. We will continue to follow the election and update you as more races are called.

As of 10:30 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Republicans have flipped at least 1 seat, giving them 198 Representatives to the Democrats’ 180. As many races have yet to be called, neither side has reached the 218 required for majority control.

The Ballot Measures

Several states has important issues on the ballot this November as voters weighed in on state constitution amendments. One key issue was abortion, and voters made their voices heard in support of both life and abortion.

In Montana, Colorado, Nevada, Maryland, and New York, all states with existing protections for abortion, voters chose to enshrine pro-choice values in their states’ constitutions. Voters in Missouri and Arizona, states with existing abortion bans, voted in a similar fashion, overturning their states bans and enshrining access to abortion.

Voters in South Dakota and Nebraska, however, voted differently. In SD, a measure to permit abortion in the first three months of pregnancy failed. In NE, meanwhile, voters chose to enshrine the state’s current 12-week ban into the constitution.

Most notably, two key measures in Florida failed. Amendment 3, intended to legalize recreational marijuana, and amendment 4, intended to legalize abortion, both fell short of the required 60%. This is a huge answer to our prayers, as we have prayed about amendment 4 multiple times.

California also voted for a ballot measure increasing penalties for retail theft and drug possession, representing a stark rejection of the soft-on-crime policies so prevalent in America’s big cities.

Kamala Harris used government power to force Christians to violate their consciences

The title of this blog post is a paraphrase from Kristen Waggoner. Kristen is the CEO, president and lead lawyer for the Alliance Defending Freedom, a law firm that champions First Amendment rights up to the Supreme Court. Kristen argues many of these cases herself. She has defended the rights of free speech and religious liberty of Christians against the secular left many times.

Here’s her latest article in the Daily Signal:

[Vice President Kamala] Harris has consistently undermined the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. That should alarm every American.

As I told Wall Street Journal columnist William McGurn: “Throughout her career as a public official, Kamala Harris has long used government power to try to coerce people of faith to violate their consciences, especially regarding abortion and gender ideology.”

[…]The Biden-Harris Treasury Department conspired with major banks to flag transactions of ordinary citizens making purchases at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shops, and Cabela’s, and buying “religious texts” like Bibles, under the guise of identifying potential “domestic terrorists.”

The Justice Department under the Biden-Harris administration similarly went after parents who spoke up at school board meetings in an infamous 2021 memo, equating their advocacy on behalf of their kids with “harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence.”

[…]In a speech to the NAACP, she said that social media platforms “have a responsibility to help fight against this threat to our democracy.”

Who would Harris classify as a “threat to our democracy”? Presumably, the same people her administration labeled as potential “domestic terrorists”; namely, concerned parents, nonprofit charitable organizations, and guys who like to camp, among others.

What I like about Kristen’s column is that she recalled all of the times that the Biden-Harris administration has gone after people’s first amendment rights.

Here is another case, the “Twitter Files”, which were internal documents released by Elon Musk that showed how the Biden-Harris administration pressured social media companies to censor factual news stories that made their regime look bad, such as the Hunter Biden laptop story.

As the explosive “Twitter Files” documented, the Biden-Harris administration indeed colluded with social media companies to suppress ideas and voices that didn’t conform to the “official” narrative around several issues of public interest that required free and open debate.

And the Biden-Harris response to getting caught was to try to destroy Elon Musk:

An Oct. 22 investigative report by independent journalists Matt Taibbi and Paul D. Thacker uncovered a plot by a group of foreign advisers to the vice president to “Kill Musk’s Twitter” and to solicit the help of Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., one of the leading proponents of online speech suppression.

As I’ve reported on this blog, Harris does not want to grant conscience exemptions to Christian medical professionals that would allow them to opt out of performing abortions. She wants pro-life Christians to be forced to perform abortions, in violation of their religious liberty. And she also colluded with abortion providers and raided the homes of pro-life whistleblowers.

During an interview with NBC, when asked whether she supported a “religious exemption” for medical professionals who choose not to participate in abortion, Harris responded, “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body.”

[…]As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Harris badgered at least three judicial nominees for having been members of the respected Catholic nonprofit Knights of Columbus, which has more than 2 million members. Harris may be unaware, but the Constitution expressly prohibits religious tests for holding public office.

Legislatively, then-Sen. Harris sponsored the Do No Harm Act, a bill that would gut the Religious Freedom Restoration Act—one of the most important federal safeguards for religious freedom—primarily for the benefit of the abortion industry.

She also cosponsored the Equality Act, which would wipe out freedom of conscience and free speech by giving the federal government the power to police and punish the beliefs of disfavored Americans who have not submitted to the new sexual orthodoxy.

As attorney general of California, Harris celebrated the passage of the Reproductive FACT Act, which effectively required pro-life pregnancy resource centers to advertise for abortionists, and defended it in court on more than one occasion.

In one case, A Woman’s Friend Pregnancy Resource Clinic v. Harris, a federal court upheld the law, which would have forced pregnancy help centers to comply with a bizarre array of coerced-speech mandates.

[…]In 2015, journalist David Daleiden exposed Planned Parenthood’s grisly practice of selling the body parts of aborted babies in a series of undercover videos. Did Harris, as attorney general, investigate Planned Parenthood for trafficking fetal organs?

No. She went after Daleiden in 2016—instead of her abortion industry allies and donors—raiding his home and seizing his equipment. And eight years later, his legal troubles are far from over. Daleiden still faces eight felony charges in an unprecedented case.

Now, I know a lot of wealthy establishment “Christians” who are in favor of Kamala Harris. When I ask them about these stories, they have never heard of any of them. Not a single one of them. When I ask them to name one of the Christian business owners who have been sued by LGBT activists, they don’t know about any of those cases, either. And that’s not surprising, because many of these wealthy establishment “Christians” have no Christian life plan. So, they are not authentic enough about their faith that they feel threatened in any way by secular left fascism. But what about you? Are you a Bible-believing Christian? If you are, then I hope enough evidence has been presented here to cause you to vote, and to make sure that your friends and family vote, too. ESPECIALLY if you are in one of these battleground states, where the races are all tied, or nearly tied. Remember, if it’s not close, they can’t cheat.

The Case for a Christian Vote for Donald Trump

In a rally in Wisconsin on October 22, 2024 just days before the 2024 United States presidential election, Bradley Whitford took to the stage in a “warm up” speech preceding the main attraction that would follow—and he overshadowed Tim Walz and Barack Obama in terms of his radical rhetoric and leftism passion.((Rally for Harris and Walz on October 22, 2024 in Wisconsin. See 10:23-28:51)) He blamed Trump for women bleeding out in parking lots because they couldn’t receive medical treatment based on abortion bans. The West Wing star went on to say, “Make no mistake about it, misogyny is at the reptilian brainstem of white Christian nationalism.” He went on to say, “That’s what we’re up against.”

While it’s nothing new in the political realm to use actors, actresses, and musicians to promote a specific party’s message to the world—what we’re witnessing in these divisive days is almost a competition by leftists on who can become the most radical. In doing so, dangerous rhetoric that threatens religious freedom, endangers the wellbeing of Christians, and continues to celebrate the murder of little babies is becoming normal everyday talk in the public square of our nation.  

Putting Little Babies in the Crosshairs

There are only two choices for the office of president in the United States of America. After working through the political system and primaries, we are left with two opposing candidates—former President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. When it comes to the issue of life, the two sides are vastly opposed.

In my article titled, “What Trump Could Do to Make America Great Again” I addressed Trump’s inconsistent political record on the issue of the sanctity of human life. Donald Trump has evolved, shifted, dodged, flipped, and flopped at least 13 different times on this one essential issue. Although Trump enjoys taking credit for the fall of Roe in the Dobbs case, in a video announcement on April 8, 2024, Trump stated unequivocally that he would leave the issue of abortion up to each individual state. The conservative Christian looks at Trump and believes he’s moved too far to the middle of the road on the issue of abortion, which is nothing less than political pandering. While this is true, any honest look at Kamala Harris reveals a candidate who is firmly committed to the murder of innocent little babies.

Kamala Harris’ website makes it clear that she opposes restrictions on abortion and believes that women should be able to make the choice to murder their babies under the language of “reproductive healthcare.” According to her campaign website, she will overturn any restrictions to the abortion bans if given the opportunity. Under the tab, “Reproductive Health-Care” the Harris campaign website reads:

Vice President Harris has traveled America and heard the stories of women hurt by Trump abortion bans. Stories of couples just trying to grow their family, cut off in the middle of IVF treatments. Stories of women miscarrying in parking lots, developing sepsis, losing the ability to ever have children again — all because doctors are afraid they may go to jail for caring for their patients. As President, she will never allow a national abortion ban to become law. And when Congress passes a bill to restore reproductive freedom nationwide, she will sign it.

The reason she calls the restrictions on abortion that are currently being enforced across the nation “Trump abortion bans” is because he appointed Supreme Court Justices who eventually tipped the scales on this issue resulting in the overturn of Roe thereby sending the abortion decisions back to the states. Many Christians celebrated the fall of Roe, but we must recognize that the battle for the sanctity of human life remains an uphill battle today.

The fact is, abortion numbers are rising in this post-Roe America. New findings from the Monthly Abortion Provision Study show that an estimated 1,037,000 abortions occurred in 2023, the first full calendar year after the US Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturned Roe v. Bottom line on this issue is that we need to stand for the preborn who cannot stand for themselves. The Democrat party consistently makes baby murder a campaign initiative and commitment while many within the Republican party advocate for the lives for the preborn. We must strive to see little babies protected under equal protection and equal justice legislation in the United States of America. The lives of little babies should matter because all life matters since all humans are created in the image and likeness of God (the Imago Dei). What happens at the national level has a dramatic impact upon the local state and counties within the state. For that reason, a strategic vote on the sanctity of human life is worthy of a Christian’s vote for Donald Trump.

When people like Bradley Whitford put on display the political agenda of the left with crystal clear progressive rhetoric, it should make Christians very nervous. What was once considered the “radical left” has simply become the left. Any political agenda considered a threat to the Democrats and their progressive political machine at this hour is slapped with a pejorative Christian label. That’s why the term “white Christian nationalist” has to be employed rather than the simple descriptor: Christian.

To oppose the murder of babies is not “white Christian nationalism” as Whitford described it. That’s plain Christianity and no Christian should apologize for it.

Take the statistics of black babies that are murdered in the womb—if some “white Christian” movement for “white supremacy” power is afoot, why would such a group want to save black babies? That rhetoric is illogical and irresponsible. It’s employed for the purpose of a Marxist agenda to divide our nation.

Furthermore, Christians are maligned as ultra-right racists who hate women, hate mothers, and hate children. According to Bradley Whitford, our nation is in a radical war against women, and Donald Trump is leading the charge. That could not be further from the truth. Real Christianity values the dignity of all persons—including little children. However, the progressives make it their agenda to blame Christians for the problems of America. This is dangerous rhetoric that must be checked and corrected or it could lead to violence against Christians in the public square.

The reason this is a dangerous pattern is because history has a way of repeating itself. By AD 60, Rome viewed Christianity as a unique growing sect that was distinct from Judaism. In AD 64, the great fire consumed 10 of the 14 districts of Rome. Nero started the fire. Many people believe he started it for the purpose of rebuilding Rome in his image – in a more grandiose style. In order to escape the criticism of the populace, he pointed his finger of accusation in the direction of the Christians. The Roman historian Tacitus (AD 55-117) wrote the following record of this dark scene from history:

Therefore, to scotch the rumour, Nero substituted as culprits, and punished with the utmost refinements of cruelty, a class of men, loathed for their vices,​ whom the crowd styled Christians.​ Christus, the founder of the name, had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator Pontius Pilatus,​ and the pernicious superstition was checked for a moment, only to break out once more, not merely in Judaea, the home of the disease, but in the capital itself, where all things horrible or shameful in the world collect and find a vogue. First, then, the confessed members of the sect were arrested; next, on their disclosures, vast numbers were convicted, not so much on the count of arson as for hatred of the human race. And derision accompanied their end: they were covered with wild beasts’ skins and torn to death by dogs; or they were fastened on crosses, and, when daylight failed were burned to serve as lamps by night. Nero had offered his Gardens for the spectacle, and gave an exhibition in his Circus, mixing with the crowd in the habit of a charioteer, or mounted on his car. Hence, in spite of a guilt which had earned the most exemplary punishment, there arose a sentiment of pity, due to the impression that they were being sacrificed not for the welfare of the state but to the ferocity of a single man.((Roman historian Tacitus, Annals, 15.44))

To consistently put Christianity in the crosshairs of the blame game is reprehensible and outright dangerous. However, that form of rhetoric is becoming commonplace from national political platforms and mainstream media outlets. Claudia Schneider writing in the PennLive newspaper in Pennsylvania for her opinion piece writes:

If Evangelicals were, in fact, the margin of victory in 2016 for Donald Trump, then they are the ones to blame for the hatred and chaos we’re currently experiencing as a nation.

Samuel Perry, an associate professor of sociology at the University of Oklahoma and the co-author of the book The Flag and the Cross: White Christian Nationalism and the Threat to American Democracy makes the claim that “white Christian Nationalism” is growing rapidly within the Republican party. This is not a new agenda. The seedbed has been laid for years in our nation and it could result in open persecution on Christians if the rhetoric continues. Take the Newspaper clips and headlines in recent days:

• CNN: “This is a Moment of Reckoning on Race for White Christians” (June 19th 2020)

Writing for the Los Angels Times, Robin Abcarian published an article on July 14, 2024 where she cites Stephen Ujlaki, producer and director of a new documentary “Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism’s Unholy War on Democracy” summarizing his position as follows:

What he came to understand is that Trump’s presidency and enduring popularity among the most extreme religious conservatives are the products of a 50-year-old political movement. Christian nationalism aims to turn back the clock on a century of American social progress by exploiting white conservatives’ anxiety over the demographic and political shifts that are changing the country.((Robin Abcarian, “Column: The once-secretive right-wing ideology emerging as an overt threat to American democracy” [accessed: 10-22-24]))

It is highly probable that state sponsored persecution and marginalization of Christians could become a reality as the progressive rhetoric continues to put Christianity in the crosshairs of political smear attacks. Everything from the storming of the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021 to mothers bleeding out in parking lots while being denied lifesaving healthcare—Christians are being blamed in the mainstream media in the name of politics. Writing for Rolling Stone, ____ observes the following:

In conclusion, I believe other issues of life matter in this election cycle. I think the border issues are critically important. I value a strong American economy. I support a strong and respected American military in the eyes of the world. I likewise believe the LGBTQA+ agenda continues to march down main street in America demanding equal rights while grooming little children to normalize a lifestyle that’s detestable. I’m concerned with the threats to the First Amendment and the Second Amendment as well.

In the past, I refused to support Donald Trump. I was once a #NeverTrump evangelical. However, over time I was convinced that Trump is the right candidate to lead our nation at this critical hour in history. As I consider my vote, I think about what candidate truly loves our nation and what candidate can best lead our nation forward. I likewise think about my children and their future in this land that we call America. I think about the freedom of the church of Jesus within the borders of America. However, in this article I highlight two major issues that influence my decision once again to cast my vote for Donald J. Trump on Tuesday, November 5th 2024. The lives of little preborn babies matter. The dangerous rhetoric against Christianity matters.

If you are a Christian and if you care for our nation, you should not blush about it. Exercise your freedom of speech by casting a vote for the glory of God and the good of our nation.

I urge all Christians to go cast a vote in this election and do so according to biblical convictions with an eye on the major political issues that impact the Church of Christ and our nation at this hour in church history. You should not be shamed into sitting the election out as you look at both candidates. This election matters for reasons that will likely have ripple effects that will continue to roll beyond your lifetime. You should not be ashamed to vote for Donald Trump. I remain fully convinced that a case cannot be made for a Christian to vote for Kamala Harris. If you are a Christian and if you care for our nation, you should not blush about it. Exercise your freedom of speech by casting a vote for the glory of God and the good of our nation.

Dear Christian, go vote and sleep well at night—our sovereign God rules the nations and his divine will shall be accomplished.

Just Who Is Hating on Christianity?

When so-called Christians turn on the faithful:

We expect non-Christians and Christophobes to hate on Christianity. It happens all the time and is par for the course. But it is a bit more surprising when those who claim to be Christians do much the same thing. We are seeing more and more of each, and it is quite alarming to see the hatred and abuse that comes to those who choose to champion Christ.

As to misotheists and Christophobes doing their thing, I would have many dozens – perhaps hundreds – of articles here documenting all this. The most recent one involves Kamala Harris and her nasty remarks made to two young Christian pro-lifers at a rally she had in Wisconsin.

Also, a similar incident happened to J D. Vance, Trump’s running mate, on Sunday, also at a Wisconsin rally. He was talking about faith and Kamala when an attendee behind him shouted out “Jesus is King”. Instead of turning on the person and seeking to have him expelled, Vance stopped mid-sentence and said, “That’s right – Jesus is King”. The contrast between the Christ-hating Kamala and the God-fearing Vance could not be greater. And that for the most part is also true of the two parties: Overwhelmingly the Dems delight in secularism, leftism, baby-killing and atheism, while many if not most Republicans are pro-life, love God and country, and want to build America up and not destroy it.

As to “Christians” turning on their own, just yesterday I wrote about the sad case of a once great Christian educational institution. Another new example of “Christians” hating on real Christians was just reported on yesterday. The opening paragraphs of a piece in the Melbourne Age tells the story:

Former union boss Joe de Bruyn has sparked a mass walkout at a Melbourne university graduation ceremony in response to his keynote speech opposing gay marriage and comparing abortion to the loss of life in World War II. Hundreds of Australian Catholic University students and staff filed out of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday during the speech by de Bruyn, a former national president of the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees’ Association (SDA).

De Bruyn told faculty of education and arts, law and commerce graduates he had opposed “the deliberate killing of unborn human beings” for several decades. “Today, over 80,000 unborn children are killed by abortion in Australia each year. Worldwide, the estimated number is 42 million each year,” he said.

“Abortion is the single biggest killer of human beings in the world, greater than the human toll of World War II. It is a tragedy that must be ended.” Students and attendees at the ceremony called for the university to apologise, and said the comments were inappropriate for a graduation. “It was not at all appropriate for a graduation ceremony,” one education graduate, who did not wish to be identified, said.

She said the speech started off normally, but then went into anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ territory. Wow. So much for universities being a place where ideas can be discussed, positions can be argued for, and tough topics can be debated in a civil fashion. And this is a Catholic institution! Just walk out like immature little cry-babies. Such a great indication of their mental and moral maturity!

But that is what the loony left is all about today. They are unable to actually argue their case and make an informed argument. Cancel culture is their preferred mode of operation. Shouting down, or walking out on, a speaker that dares to differ from them is how they usually operate.

That is how education is being destroyed in the West. And that is how Catholic education is being destroyed as well. Just like the MLC, it seems that the ACU has become so woke and “progressive” that students and staff will actually hate on those who simply stand up for traditional Catholic teaching – teaching that has been the norm for the past 2000 years.

Why do I suspect that if a speaker at one of their graduation ceremonies proclaimed the greatness of abortion, homosexuality, the trans agenda, and other trendy causes, no students would walk out? They more than likely would give him a standing ovation.

As Catholic politician Bernie Finn put it: “Joe de Bruyn is a great Australian and a man who lives his Christianity. The disgraceful reaction of some ACU teachers and students when he publicly declared support for Catholic social teaching is a reflection of the spiritual bankruptcy of Catholic education throughout much of Australia, particularly Victoria. With a handful of exceptions, the Australian Church is starved of real leadership.”

He is quite right. I know Joe as well. Several times over the years he invited me to come to Adelaide and speak at his SDA conferences. I was privileged to do so. He is a real champion, and the fact that so-called Catholic students and staff walked out on him tells us all we need to know about the ACU and so many other schools like it.

They have long ago sold out to the spirit of the age. They have long ago traded in sacred moral teaching for a bowl of secular porridge. They have decided to cast their lots with leftist secularism and immorality, while giving the flick to two millennia of Christian teaching on these matters.

So we are not surprised that Joe received this shameful treatment. Just as Kamala and the Dems have informed us that Jesus is not welcome; just as MLC has informed us that the cross is not welcome, so too here the university has informed us that Christian social teaching is just not welcome.

We of course will continue to see irate, hysterical and unhinged secular lefties attacking Christianity at every chance they get. But the big worry now is how many “Christian” leaders, churches, schools and organisations are joining in on this.

While all this is shocking to behold, it should not be surprising. We were warned about this very thing 2000 years ago. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:9-14:

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

And Paul put it this way in 1 Timothy 4:1-2: “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.”

Or as John remarked in 1 John 2:19: “They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.”

We are clearly living in the very times that we had been warned about. Now more than ever, true Christians need to stand strong and resist the siren call of apostasy. Please pray for these brave warriors for Christ. Not just the two Wisconsin college students, J. D. Vance, and Joe de Bruyn, but all others like them.

As the days grow ever darker, those who are truly His own will become increasingly apparent.
