The Earth Has Been Shaken By 466,742 Earthquakes So Far In 2025 | End Of The American Dream

Have you noticed that our planet has been shaking a lot lately? The magnitude 7.8 earthquake that just hit Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula is just one of the 466,742 earthquakes that have rattled the giant space rock that we all live on this year. Simultaneously, dozens of volcanoes have been erupting and there have been all sorts of very unusual events in the heavens. If you think that what we are experiencing is “normal”, you probably have not been paying much attention.

Earlier today, I went to Volcano Discovery, and I learned that there have been 466,742 earthquakes so far in 2025…

  • 1 quake above magnitude 8
  • 11 quakes between magnitude 7 and 8
  • 105 quakes between magnitude 6 and 7
  • 1,545 quakes between magnitude 5 and 6
  • 11,611 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
  • 45,692 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
  • 98,979 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
  • 308,798 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don’t feel.

It has particularly been a banner year for large earthquakes.

Normally we see between 110 and 125 earthquakes of at least magnitude 5.0 during a 30 day period, but earlier this summer we witnessed 494 in just 30 days.

That is crazy.

The Pacific Ring of Fire has been more active than anywhere else, and it just got hit by another huge earthquake

A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Russia’s Kamchatka region at around 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, sparking concerns of a potential tsunami along the U.S. West Coast and Hawaii.

NOAA and the National Weather Service’s U.S. Tsunami Warning System has since confirmed that a Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and that, “there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii.”

We should be very thankful that there was no tsunami.

Next time we might not be so fortunate.

Following the initial quake, there were more than 30 aftershocks of at least magnitude 4.5.

A few days earlier, on Monday, Alaska was rattled by a couple of very large quakes

A powerful earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska’s Aleutian Islands early Monday, stirring concerns of a potential tsunami among residents on the mainland.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) detected a 5.2-magnitude quake at 1am local time (5:02am ET) near the uninhabited community of Nikolski.

Less than two hours later, the USGS recorded a 4.8-magnitude aftershock in the same region.

Sadly, even though the entire west coast of the continental United States sits directly along the Pacific Ring of Fire, most of those that live there simply do not care about all of this seismic activity.

But mark my words, it is just a matter of time before “the Big One” strikes.

Speaking of the west coast, the fact that volcanic ash was spotted in the vicinity of Mount St. Helens the other day caused a bit of a stir.

The story that authorities are giving us is that volcanic ash from the 1980s “is being lofted back into the air” by very strong winds…

Folks in the Northwest shouldn’t panic: Mount St. Helens is NOT erupting, government scientists said on Sept. 16.

The concern arises because commercial pilots reported seeing ash in the vicinity of the mountain, site of the infamous eruption of May 18, 1980, that killed 57 people.

So what’s going on? “Volcanic ash from the 1980s is being lofted back into the air from the strong east winds,” the National Weather Service in Portland, Oregon, reported.

Do you buy that story?

I am not sure that I do.

In any event, that is what they want us to believe.

Meanwhile, all sorts of very strange things have been happening in the heavens.

On September 13th, an extremely bright fireball violently exploded over central Argentina…

A fireball with an impact energy of 0.38 kilotons (380 tons of TNT equivalent) was detected at 22:26 UTC on September 13, 2025, at an altitude of 22.8 km (14.2 miles) over central Argentina. The event was observed from multiple provinces and produced a persistent trail and visible fragmentation.

A bright fireball was detected at 19:26 local time (22:26 UTC) on September 13, over central Argentina.

The object entered the atmosphere near latitude 38.0°S and longitude 64.8°W, at an altitude of 22.8 km (14.2 miles), releasing an estimated 0.38 kilotons (380 tons of TNT equivalent) of energy, according to NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies (CNEOS).

Two days later, an asteroid that was just discovered zipped past our planet at a distance of just 0.78 LD

A newly discovered asteroid designated 2025 RJ2 will fly past Earth at a distance of 0.78 LD (0.002 AU / 301 334 km / 187 241 miles) at 20:18 UTC on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Since the beginning of the year, observatories worldwide have detected 96 asteroids passing within one lunar distance of Earth.

Asteroid 2025 RJ2 was first observed by Catalina Sky Survey on September 14 — one day before its close approach to Earth.

Then on Thursday morning, a “city-killing asteroid the size of a major skyscraper” came flying along…

A city-killing asteroid the size of a major skyscraper will scream past Earth in just hours – and scientists have warned that it could return in the future.

The asteroid 2025 FA22 will come within 520,000 miles of Earth at approximately 3:40am ET early Thursday morning.

That’s roughly twice the distance of the Earth to the moon, meaning it poses no immediate threat to the planet.

We should be very glad that rock did not hit us, because it would have done serious damage.

Coming up, there will be a very odd solar eclipse on September 21st

The moon will appear to take a “bite” out of the sun during a deep partial solar eclipse on Sept. 21.

Globally, September’s partial solar eclipse will begin at 1:29 p.m. EDT (1729 GMT), with the maximum eclipse phase — when the moon covers the largest portion of the sun — occurring at 3:41 p.m. EDT (1941 GMT). However, exact timings vary by location.

It is not often that we see two eclipses in a single month.

First we had the “blood moon eclipse” on September 7th, and now this partial solar eclipse on September 21st will be able to be seen across much of the Southern Hemisphere

Skywatchers in the Southern Hemisphere will witness the year’s second and final solar eclipse on Sept. 21/22, just one day before the equinox. Though only a partial solar eclipse, it promises some spectacular views, especially across New Zealand, Antarctica and the South Pacific islands, because it occurs just after sunrise — as did the previous solar eclipse in March in North America.

Unlike a total solar eclipse, where the moon blocks the entire sun, a partial solar eclipse creates the striking image of a crescent sun in the sky — in this case, at sunrise just one day before the September equinox.

To me, things will get even more interesting once we reach the month of October.

On October 3rd Comet 3I/ATLAS will make an uncomfortably close approach to Mars, and then on October 5th it is being projected that Earth will actually pass through the orbital debris field of an absolutely gigantic comet that was just discovered known as C/2025 R2 (SWAN).

Astronomers are telling us that there is a chance that we may get to experience a pretty dramatic meteor shower as we pass through that orbital debris field.

I wanted to put all of this into a single article so that everyone can understand that we are in an extremely unusual time.

So much is happening, but most people are simply not paying attention.

What is it going to take to get the general population to finally wake up?

The Big List Of 18 Things That Are Going To Happen Within The Next 40 Days | The Economic Collapse

During the month of September and the early portion of October, we will witness a remarkable convergence of events. Of course this convergence of events just happens to be occurring at a time when it feels like this period of history is building up to some sort of a crescendo. 2025 has been a year of war, it has been “the year of the fire”, it has been “the year of the flood”, it has been a year when we have witnessed a highly unusual number of earthquakes, and it has been a year when horrifying pestilences have been erupting all over the globe. So it has already been a really crazy year. But could it be possible that it is about to get even crazier?

I think that there are good reasons to be on high alert during the weeks ahead. The following is the big list of 18 things that are going to happen within the next 40 days…

September 1 – This marks the beginning of FEMA’s annual “National Preparedness Month

September 1 – Labor Day

September 2 – According to the Times of Israel, approximately 60,000 reservists are being called up to participate in military operations inside Gaza, and most of those reservists will be reporting for duty on September 2nd…

Some 60,000 Israeli reservists were set to receive call-up orders that the military will issue starting Wednesday for an offensive against Hamas in Gaza City, after Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the army’s plans, according to the Israel Defense Forces and security officials.

The orders were not immediate, but rather were slated to take place in several waves. The majority — around 40,000-50,000 — would be ordered to show up for duty on September 2.

September 3 – An annual Islamic festival commemorating the birthday of Muhammad

September 7 – There will be a “spectacular ‘blood moon’ total lunar eclipse” on this date…

Get ready stargazers!

In just one week, Earth’s shadow will roll across the lunar surface, giving rise to a spectacular ‘blood moon’ total lunar eclipse on Sept. 7-8.

A total lunar eclipse occurs when Earth passes between the moon and sun, casting its shadow over our natural satellite. The tilted orbit of Earth’s moon prevents us from experiencing a total lunar eclipse every month during the new moon phase. However, about three times every year, orbital mechanics conspire to bring the Earth, moon and sun into perfect alignment, setting the stage for a breathtaking lunar spectacle.

September 7 to September 12 – NATO will be conducting a major “emergency management exercise”

NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection (DG FSCP) of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior are organizing NATO’s 20th Emergency Management exercise, “BULGARIA 2025”. The conduct of BULGARIA 2025 will be from 7 September 2025 to 12 September 2025.

September 11 – The 24th anniversary (12 + 12) of 9/11

September 17 – Constitution Day – most Americans do not even know that this holiday exists

September 17 to September 19 – President Trump will be making a state visit to the United Kingdom

September 21 – A partial solar eclipse will be visible in the Southern Hemisphere

On Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, a deep partial solar eclipse will be visible from some remote areas of the Southern Hemisphere.

Despite being a partial solar eclipse, it will be relatively major. It will also occur a day before the equinox.

The Sept. 21 event will be the second and final solar eclipse of 2025. The maximum 80% partial eclipse will be visible from the Southern Ocean midway between New Zealand and a largely remote part of Antarctica, with the more frequently visited Antarctica Peninsula experiencing only a 12% partial eclipse, shortly before sunset.

September 21 – The UN International Day Of Peace

September 22 – The Autumnal Equinox (the start of Fall) occurs on this day

At 2:20 p.m. EDT today, it’s the fall/autumnal equinox. It marks the point when the midday sun is directly above the equator, with everywhere on the planet getting (roughly) 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. Today, the sun will rise due east and set due west. From this point on, nights will get longer.

September 22 – Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown

September 23 – High-Level General Debate for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly begins on this date. It has been widely reported that France, the United Kingdom, Canada and many other western nations are expected to officially recognize a Palestinian state somewhere around this time.

October 1 – Yom Kippur

October 3 – This is the date when a gigantic space rock that originated outside of our solar system known as 3I/ATLAS will pass alarmingly close to the planet Mars

October 5 – The Feast of Tabernacles begins

October 7 – This will be the second anniversary of the October 7th terror attacks on Israel

There has been so much chatter about the month of September on social media.

Some of the theories that are being floated are interesting, and some of the theories that are being floated are simply absurd.

Let me share with you some of the trends that I will be watching in the months ahead.

First of all, I am convinced that we are moving into a season of more war.  I expect the conflict in Ukraine to escalate as long-range missiles are fired into Russia, tensions with Venezuela are rapidly rising, and other hotspots around the world could erupt at any moment.  But at the moment I am watching the Middle East more closely than anywhere else.  Turkey just cut off all relations with Israel, and the unfolding drama that is playing out in Gaza is going to be a huge story.

And it certainly won’t take much for missiles to start flying back and forth between Israel and Iran again.

In addition, I expect that famine and pestilence will be major themes during the months ahead.  So I will be monitoring developments regarding those two topics very carefully.  For much more on where I believe global events are heading, please see my new book entitled “10 Prophetic Events That Are Coming Next”.

As events accelerate, a lot of people out there are going to be absolutely shocked to find themselves right in the middle of the chaos that is enveloping the globe.

We tend to think of war, famine, pestilence and great seismic catastrophes as things that happen on the other side of the world.

For now, that is true to a certain degree.

But it is just a matter of time before there won’t be anywhere to run from the apocalyptic events that are beginning to rock our planet.

1 in 3 Americans Turn To Astrology Or Tarot Cards For Spiritual Help | Religion Unplugged

NEW YORK – Nearly one in three U.S. adults say they consult astrology, tarot cards or fortune tellers at least once a year — though most do so for entertainment rather than a form of religious guidance, according to a new study released Wednesday.

The Pew Research Center study found that 30% engage with at least one form of metaphysical or mystical insight annually. However, Pew researchers noted that few Americans report making major life decisions based on what they learn from these practices.

“Despite the rising cultural visibility of astrology and related practices, our data suggest that most Americans approach them with a sense of curiosity or playfulness rather than conviction,” Pew said in a summary of the findings.

Here are a few highlights from the study:

— 20% of U.S. adults say they consult astrology or horoscopes mostly “just for fun,” while 10% say they do mostly because they “believe the practices give them helpful insights.”

— Younger adults – and especially women – are more likely to believe in astrology and to consult astrology or horoscopes. For example, 43% of women ages 18 to 49 say they believe in astrology. That compares with 27% of women ages 50 and older.

— 20% of men ages 18 to 49 believe in astrology, while only 16% of men who are 50 and older do so.

— About half of LGBT Americans (54%) consult astrology or a horoscope – roughly twice the share among U.S. adults overall (28%).

The study highlights an enduring interest in mystical and spiritual tools, even as belief in their power appears stable.

Astrology is the study of human energy as it relates to planetary positions and movements. The use of tarot cards and horoscopes serve as what practitioners believe is spiritual or divine guidance, which can come as warnings or positive predictions.

Pew noted that while social media and pop culture may amplify astrology’s presence over the last few decades as traditional faith has waned, it hasn’t significantly shifted public opinion.

Overall, belief in astrology specifically remains relatively steady. About 27% of Americans say they believe the position of the stars and planets can influence people’s lives — a figure that is statistically unchanged from 2017, when 29% said the same.

Pew’s findings are in line with results of earlier surveys. Gallup polls from 1990 to 2005 consistently found that between 23% and 28% of Americans believed in astrology.

While most Christians reject these practices, Hispanic Catholics, Black Protestants and adults who say their religion is “nothing in particular” are among the most likely to say they believe that consulting a fortune teller, tarot cards or astrology gives them helpful insights.

Pew found that 16% of Hispanic Catholics and 14% of Black Protestants say they engage in these practices mostly for helpful insights and not for fun.

Nonetheless, few Americans make major life decisions based on what they learn from astrology, tarot cards or fortune tellers. Just 1% of U.S. adults say they rely a lot on what they have learned from these practices when making major life decisions. Pew said another 5% say they rely a little on what they have learned.

Fewer than one-in-10 Americans engage in these practices on a weekly basis.

“While there are now abundant ways – both online and in person — to consult a horoscope, tarot cards and fortune tellers, just 6% of Americans report that they participate in one or more of these activities at least weekly,” the report added. “More (14%) say they engage monthly in at least one of these practices.”

Pew said data used for the report, based on responses from 9,593 adults, was conducted from Oct. 21 to 27, 2024.

Seven planets are aligned in the night sky | Denison Forum

Silhouettes of people observing stars in night sky. Astronomy concept. By vchalup/stock.adobe.com

As every schoolchild knows, there are eight planets in our solar system. (I was taught that Pluto was the ninth planet, but alas, it was reclassified as a “dwarf planet” in 2006 because it shares its orbital space with other large objects in its vicinity.)

Later this month, those of us on the third planet from the Sun can see the other seven in the night sky. Known as a “planetary alignment,” this is what happens when the planets align on the same side of the Sun. You can click here for a guide to seeing them; Uranus and Neptune will require a pair of binoculars or a small telescope.

This planetary alignment makes no practical difference to us since there is no significant gravitational force between the planets. Some hypothesize that planetary alignments might impact solar activity, but much more research is needed.

However, such alignments can be very practical for interplanetary spacecraft, which use the specific positioning of planets to perform gravity assists that slingshot them with a speed boost toward their final destination. Voyagers 1 and 2 took advantage of an alignment of the large planets, for example, with Voyager 2 getting boosts from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

Here’s the part of the story that interests me: while planetary alignments have no practical impact on our physical planet, they were highly significant for ancient cultures that tried to use them to forecast the future. Here we see the difference between astronomy (the scientific study of celestial objects) and astrology (a non-scientific belief system that uses celestial bodies to predict future events or personality traits).

People who read their horoscopes practice astrology. People who study the stars and planets using the scientific method practicice astronomy.

The chasm between the two suggests significant principles for faith in our post-Christian culture.

Walking the altar-lined streets of Ephesus

When Paul made his way to Athens as part of his second missionary journey, he had a right to expect highly reasoned conversations with some of the intellectual elites of his day. And in fact he encountered Epicurean and Stoic philosophers and “conversed” with them (Acts 17:18)—the Greek word means to dialogue, debate, ponder together.

But he also discovered that “the city was full of idols” (v. 16). In fact, he used their altar to “the unknown god” as a springboard to preach the gospel: “What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you” (v. 23).

Why would such brilliant people be so susceptible to the mythologies and traditions of their polytheistic religion?

From Cain to today, humans have sought to use religion to leverage the blessing of God or the gods (cf. Genesis 4:4–7). This is an expression of our “will to power” that seeks to be our own god (Genesis 3:5). Paradoxically, we use God to replace him as god, engaging in transactional religious practices by which we do what he wants so he will do what we want.

We see this across the ancient Roman Empire. I have walked the streets of Ephesus lined with altars to the various gods of their day, witnessed vast temples in Corinth and Rome dedicated to the same purpose, and visited what we would call “pagan” temples across modern-day Turkey that were similarly transactional in nature.

Christians are by no means immune. When we begin the day with Bible study and prayer in the hope that God will then bless our day, when we pray to get what we want from the Lord, and when we serve him and donate to his causes so he will serve us, we are engaging in transactional religion.

Like astrologers of old and today, we are seeking power over our surroundings and our future. To predict the future through a horoscope is to gain a measure of control over it. To sacrifice to a God, known or unknown, as a means to our ends is to do the same.

“The greatest day that a Christian can ever experience”

The paradox is that the God who created the planets of our solar system and the rest of our vast universe is much more of a blessing to us in a transformational relationship than in a transactional religion. The best gift he can give us is the privilege of being a “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17) who manifests the character of Jesus (Romans 8:29) by demonstrating the “fruit” of his Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).

When we worship God because he loves us rather than so he will, we experience him in intimate ways that draw us closer to the people we are created to be. When we serve him because he has served us rather than so he will, we offer gratitude for grace that transforms us and those we influence.

The Creator who measures the entire universe with the palm of his hand (Isaiah 40:12) now holds his children in that same hand (John 10:29). The gift of all gifts is that he wants a personal relationship with us. Not because we deserve such mercy, but because he “is” love (1 John 4:8).

Then, one day, we will step from this fallen world filled with transactional religion and works-driven righteousness into a perfect world filled with transformational relationship and worship-driven joy. RC Sproul noted:

The day of one’s birth is a good day for the believer, but the day of death is the greatest day that a Christian can ever experience in this world, because that is the day he goes home, the day he walks across the threshold, the day he enters the Father’s house.

In the meantime, our calling is to embrace the grace of Christ and to share it with everyone we can. In Simply Good News: Why The Gospel Is News and What Makes It Good, the brilliant theologian NT Wright assures us:

Many people today assume that Christianity is one or more of these things—a religion, a moral system, a philosophy. In other words, they assume that Christianity is about advice. But it wasn’t and isn’t. Christianity is, simply, good news. It is the news that something has happened as a result of which the world is a different place.

How will this news make your “world” a “different place” today?
