Bill Maher Slams Liberals Who Constantly Obsess Over Trump: ‘If That’s Your Whole Personality’ (VIDEO)

Bill Maher may still be a liberal, but he clearly has no more patience for people on his side who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

During a recent episode of his podcast, with guest actor John Stamos, Maher slammed liberals who can’t stop thinking and talking about Trump.

It really does make a person boring and one-dimensional when you can tell that they spend every waking moment thinking about how much they hate Trump. Even worse, the people who are like this have a never ending need to talk about it, even when people don’t want to hear it.

Maher knocked Trump in his usual ways, but his point about the Trump-obsessed left is spot on.

Bill Maher sent a blunt message to people who constantly hate on President Donald Trump during a conversation with Full House star John Stamos.

On the December 29 episode of Maher’s Club Random podcast, the Real Time With Bill Maher host and Stamos chatted about a number of topics. Stamos, 62, at one point, brought up Maher, 69, having dinner at the White House with Trump, 79.

“All I’m saying is he was extremely different,” Maher said of meeting the POTUS in person. “Maybe I’m the Trump whisperer. But I think we would do a lot better to have more people like me talk to him. He’s not against talking to people.”…

Additionally, Maher pointed out, “It is a phenomenon we have never seen before that one person would dominate just national… for over a decade.”

Stamos echoed, “Every conversation, every dinner, every f***ing thing.”

“And I do think you have to fight that,” Maher urged. “Like I say, if that’s your whole personality, is the first thing out of your mouth is ‘What are we going to do about Donald Trump?’ I just can’t.”

There are people on the left who no longer like Bill Maher since he has taken a (somewhat) more reasonable stance on Trump. He at least deserves credit for letting go of TDS and all the performative rage that goes with it.

Tom Homan Explains to Bill Maher Why We Can’t Give Amnesty to Illegals – And Gets Applause From Maher’s Audience (VIDEO)

Tom Homan appeared on the Bill Maher show this weekend and was asked by Maher why we can’t just give amnesty to the millions of people who came into the country illegally.

Maher used all the typical liberal arguments against Homan, even going so far as to suggest that ICE is scaring people.

Homan broke it all down logically, and by the time he was done even Maher’s liberal audience was applauding.

TOM HOMAN: What I’m saying is, that’s why you have to show there’s consequences. Because if you send a message there’s no consequences, and you want to reward illegal behavior, that’s not going to stop.

BILL MAHER: And I get all that, and for all that I thank you for your service, truly. But what we also see is people being just taken away who are just regular-day workers. The waitress who worked for 14 years at some coffee shop. And everybody’s like, oh, you know what? We voted to get rid of the bad people, you know, the people you were just talking about, but not Carol. [Crowd applauds]. What’s going on there? Don’t you think it’s been a little heavy-handed? Don’t you think you’ve picked up a bunch of people who shouldn’t be picked up at all? It doesn’t seem like it was done with a scalpel.

HOMAN: What I think about every day is, again, we prioritize the worst first, and in the numbers show we do it. What I’ve said from day one, if you’re in the country illegally, you’re not off the table. You know why? Because there are millions of people standing in line, taking their tests, doing the background investigations, paying their fees to be part of the greatest nation on earth. If you want to be a part of greatest nation, there’s a right way and wrong way to do it. If like it or not, the ones who are here illegally cheated the system.

Bill Maher Finally TELLS ALL About His Meeting at the White House With President Trump (VIDEO)

During his HBO show on Friday night, Bill Maher finally revealed all the details of his meeting and dinner with President Trump at the White House.

Maher seemed most genuinely surprised to learn that President Trump is nothing like the character he is portrayed as by the media. He said that Trump was gracious, funny, and completely able to laugh at himself.

Bill said that he is not going ‘MAGA’ but you can tell that his mind was changed on some things, mainly his perceptions.

Variety has some details:

Maher then touted that he got the president to sign a sheet of paper listing numerous insults that Trump had levied against Maher over the years, including “low-life” and “his show is dead.” But the host’s tone changed shortly after that.

“The guy I met is not the guy who the night before the dinner shit-Tweeted a bunch of nasty crap about how this dinner was a bad idea and what a deranged asshole I was,” Maher said. “Just for starters: he laughs. I’ve never seen him laugh in public. But he does, including at himself. He’s not fake.”

Maher noted a standout moment while touring the White House: “I don’t remember what we were talking about, but it must’ve been something with the 2020 election. Because I know he distinctly used the world ‘lost.’ And I said, ‘Wow, I never thought I’d hear you say that.’ He didn’t get mad. He’s much more self-aware than he lets on in public.”

The host also shared that he remained “not MAGA” and that the conversation covered his own criticisms of the Trump admin, including its collapse of President Obama’s 2015 deal with Iran to limit the country’s nuclear program. He also said that he praised Trump for signaling for DEI having “gone too far,” legislation against trans athletes and ongoing support for Israel military action in Gaza. Maher noted that his takeaway from the President’s private candor with him was “emblematic of why the Democrats are so unpopular these days.”

Maher is not entirely complimentary here and he uses some cuss words, as usual, but this is worth watching in full.

Greg Gutfeld has said many times that Trump comes off very differently, and more positively, when people meet him in person. If Bill Maher is any indication, perhaps Trump should meet more of his critics.

Bill Maher gives Donald Trump his highest compliment to date after their White House meeting

Longtime Donald Trump critic Bill Maher has paid the president his highest compliment to date, following a meeting with him last week at the White House.

Maher, who routinely mocks and berates Trump on his weekly show, made a striking assessment describing him as a political force of nature.

‘Trump is one of the most effective politicians,’ Maher stated during a sit-down with NewsNation host Chris Cuomo on his Club Random podcast. ‘Whatever you think of the policy and him as a person… just as a politician.’

For Maher who has consistently roasted Trump on his HBO show Real Time for nearly a decade, it was a rare acknowledgment of Trump’s raw political instinct and his singular hold on the American electorate.

Maher recalled two specific moments that forced even him, an avowed Trump skeptic, to stand back and applaud the sheer audacity of the president.

The first involved Trump’s handling of the Taliban during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

‘When he did that thing where the guy came in from the Taliban and he said, “This is an aerial picture of your house. If during our withdrawal one American is hurt, just know I know where you live,”‘ Maher said.

‘I was like, oh can we just play the music now? Because I don’t care it’s Donald Trump and he’s the worst person ever, blah, blah, blah – I f***ing love that!’

The second thing Maher paid Trump credit for, was for his street-level bravado.

‘One time they were doing something, something was going on and he said, “You know what? When you come after New York, you got to go through me.” It’s like, oh – hometown boy,’ Maher added.

Although it was far from an endorsement, Maher appeared to acknowledge Trump’s stage presence that he carried in ways his opponents can’t touch.

‘You know, he has those moments that no other politician has. And the Democrats have to find that guy,’ Maher said bluntly. ‘But let’s be real – they’ve been searching for years and they’re still coming up empty.’

In recent times Maher has built a reputation for attacking ‘woke’ liberalism and cancel culture just as fiercely as he criticizes MAGA politics.

In his critique, he slammed Democrats for failing to understand what actually moves voters.

‘They always say message. “They didn’t hear our message,” Maher mocked. ‘Yeah, first of all they did – and they don’t like it. Second, they don’t give a s***. It’s not about the message. Trump changes his message every day and it doesn’t matter.’

According to Maher, Trump’s real political genius lies in his primal appeal.

On this week’s broadcast of ‘Real Time’ with host Bill Maher on HBO, sports journalist Stephen A. Smith explained why President Donald Trump won the 2024 election.

BILL MAHER: It’s also not the case that every baby born, which is what we’ve had for the last four years, is kind of a jump ball of, oh, I don’t know, just as likely, let’s not even put the sex on the birth certificate, let’s let the kid decide when they’re five. That was crazy. So there’s going to be this backlash.
And that’s what you have now. You did bring it on yourself in a lot of ways.

STEPHEN A. SMITH: Here’s the deal.

The man was impeached twice. He was convicted on 34 felony counts. And the American people still said, “he’s closer to normal than what we see on the left.”

MAHER: Exactly.

SMITH: That’s what they’re saying. He’s closer to normal. Why? Because something that pertains, when you talk about the transgender community, for example, and you’re talking about the issues that pertain to less than 1 percent of the population, the Democratic Party came across as if that was a priority more so than the other issues. And so he comes into office. Now you’re talking about childbirth, citizenship and what have you.

He knows that’s not going to pass the mustard. But he knows that he made that promise. So when he shows up week one on Capitol Hill and he says, this is what we’re going to do through an executive order, even though it’s going to be shot down through the courts and what have you, he’s saying, I kept my promise.

A lot of other things that he’s going to point to that he’s going to try to do, I kept my promise. Then you turn around and you look at the left and you say, what promises did you keep? Now, you might know the answer to that. I’m certainly not questioning your knowledge about that at all.

What I’m saying is, what resonated with the voter? What voter out there can look at the Democratic Party at this moment in time and say, there’s a voice for us, somebody that speaks for us, that goes up on Capitol Hill and fights the fights that we want them fighting on our behalf. They didn’t do that. And that’s why they’re behind the home.

And that man is back in the White House. And they want to sit up there and talk. You look at the networks right now.

They’re talking about it. Look at it. This is the latest.

Look at him. Here he goes again. Well, you know what here he goes again means? He’s doing what he said he was going to do.

He promised you he was going to do these things. And he walked into office week one, and that’s exactly what he’s doing. And he’s saying, y’all do something about it.

And when you try to do something about it, he’s going to say, look at them now. Now they’re concerned about these issues. Were they talking about that during the campaign? Hell no.

That’s really it.
