Google admits it censored conservatives during the Biden regime – but leaves out a lot.
The US House GOP gives themselves a pat on the back for getting Google to admit they censored conservatives during the Biden regime. They feel like heroes after reporting on Google’s actions against conservatives.
Google admitted that the company was censoring conservatives during the Biden years. This is no joke. This infringement on free speech is unconstitutional and harmed many entities like this one.
Here is one example of Google censoring conservatives – through its ad service. Google and Facebook oversee two-thirds of ad business on the internet. So when Google ads platform asks you to remove an article they don’t like, they force you into complying or they threaten to take away your ad revenue.
This happened in December, still during the Biden regime when Google asked JoeHoft.com to take down a post that was posted one and a half years earlier. Why did Google want this post taken down?
Google’s admission of censoring conservatives during the Biden years is certainly true but it is only a small part of the story.
Google censored conservatives before the Biden regime’s reign of terror and still is censoring conservatives today.
Just this past weekend Google wrote JoeHoft.com stating that it intended to disable Google ads due to non-compliance with AdSense program policies. (This company is 40% of web ads itself.)
But when you look online for any policy violations, there are none.
Google certainly censored conservative platforms during the Biden years, but it also censored conservatives before the Biden years and since the Biden years. Google never stopped.
It’s been one week since the British government’s odious ‘Online Safety Act’ came into force and basically everything on the Internet is now blocked.
The legislation was presented as an effort to protect children from seeing things they shouldn’t be seeing online.
However, to absolutely no one’s surprise, it’s already being used to eviscerate free speech.

British users of X shared screenshots of messages that popped up while they attempted to view footage from the protests, which started in Epping after a migrant sexually assaulted a teenage girl and have since spread around the country.
An elite team of police officers is to monitor social media for anti-migrant sentiment amid fears of summer riots.
Detectives will be drawn from forces across the country to take part in a new investigations unit that will flag up early signs of potential civil unrest.
The division, assembled by the Home Office, will aim to “maximise social media intelligence” gathering after police forces were criticised over their response to last year’s riots.

The Biden Regime colluded with Big Tech to censor and police American citizens online.
In August, billionaire Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who is CEO of the company renamed as Meta, admitted in a letter to Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan that the social media giant was subject to government censorship around stories related to COVID and the 2020 election and that he would, in the future, fight such efforts harder than he did previously.
This Biden-Harris Censorship Industrial Complex changed policies against the political right at Amazon, YouTube, Google, Facebook, among others. The Republican-led House has been holding hearings all summer documenting the nation’s largest and most extensive violation of the First Amendment in history (click here to read about MO v Biden).
The Biden-Harris Admin “pressured” Facebook to censor Americans, in what other court filings refer to as coercive demands.

Facebook censored Americans and suppressed information related to COVID-19.
Facebook suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story, because it was told by the intelligence community that it was “Russian disinformation” which is now known to be a complete lie and fabrication.
Zuckerberg and the company regrets censoring Americans on behalf of demands by the federal government and would resist it more strongly in the future.
Zuckerberg would not be making another major donation to far-left election officials to subsidize their election efforts in this election cycle.
According to a 2024 report from OpenTheBooks, the Biden Regime spent $267 million to “study” misinformation. $126 million was spent to censor speech online in 2021.
Additionally, in 2022, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security created a “Ministry of Truth” to combat so-called disinformation.
Two years ago, when Michael and I first testified before your Weaponization of Government Subcommittee, Democratic members called us “so-called journalists,” suggested we were bought-off “scribes,” and questioned our ethics and loyalties. When we tried to answer, we were told to shut up, take off our tinfoil hats, and remember two things: one, there is no digital censorship, two, if there is digital censorship, it’s for our own good.
I was shocked. I thought the whole thing had to be a mistake. No way the party I gave votes to all my life was now pro-censorship. Then last year I listened to John Kerry, whom I voted for, talk to the World Economic Forum. Speaking about disinformation, he said “our First Amendment stands as a major block” to our ability to “hammer it out of existence.”
He complained that “it’s really hard to govern” because “people self-select where they go for their news,” which makes it “much harder to build consensus…”
I defended Kerry when people said he “looks French,” but Marie Antoinette would have been embarrassed by this speech. He was essentially complaining that the peasants are “self-selecting” their own media. What’s next, letting them make up up their own minds?
Lastly, “building consensus” may be a politician’s job, but it’s not mine as a citizen or as a journalist. In fact, making it hard to govern is exactly the media’s job. The failure to understand this is why we have a censorship problem.
This is an Alamo moment for the First Amendment. Most of America’s closest allies have already adopted draconian speech laws. We’re surrounded. The EU’s new Digital Services Act is the most comprehensive censorship law ever instituted in a democratic society.
Ranking member Raskin, you don’t have to as far as Russiaor China to find people jailed for speech. Our allies in England now have an Online Safety Act which empowers the government to jail people for nebulous offenses like “false communication” or causing “psychological harm.” Germany, France, Australia, Canada, and other nations have implemented similar ideas.
These laws are totally incompatible with our system. Our own citizens have been arrested in some of these countries, but our government hasn’t stood up for them. Why? Because many of our bureaucrats believe in these laws.
Take USAID. Many Americans are in an uproar now because they learned about over $400 million going to an organization called Internews, whose chief Jeanne Bourgault boasted to Congress about training “hundreds of thousands of people” in journalism. Her views are almost identical to Kerry’s.
She gave a talk about “building trust and combatting misinformation” in India during the pandemic. She said that after months of a “really beautifully unified Covid-19 message,” vaccine enthusiasm rose to 87%, but when “mixed information on vaccine efficacy” got out, hesitancy ensued.
We’re paying this person to train journalists, and she doesn’t know the press doesn’t exist to promote “unity” or political goals like vaccine enthusiasm. That’s propaganda, not journalism.
Again, you don’t know the fastest way to erode “trust” in media is by having government sponsor “exclusion lists,” you shouldn’t be getting a dollar in taxpayer money, let alone $476 million. And USAID is just a tiny piece of a censorship machine Michael and I saw across a long list of agencies. Collectively they’ve bought up every part of the news production line: sources, think-tanks, research, “fact-checking,” “anti-disinformation,” commercial media scoring, and when all else fails, censorship.
It’s a giant closed messaging loop, whose purpose is to transform the free press into a consensus machine. There’s no way to remove the rot surgically. The whole mechanism has to go.
Is there “right-wing misinformation”? Hell yes. It exists in every direction. But I grew up a Democrat and don’t remember being afraid of it. At the time, we didn’t need censorship because we figured we had the better argument.
Obviously, some of you lack that same confidence. You took billions from taxpayers and blew it on programs whose entire purpose was to tell them they’re wrong about things they can see with their own eyes.
You sold us out, and until these “rather tiresome” questions are answered, this problem is not fixed. Thank you.

This year, AbleChild awarded The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft a Humanitarian Hero award for “breaking the narrative” and outstanding reporting.
There has been a lot in the news this past week on the corrupt US government agency USAID. Jim Hoft focused on this agency and how it has been used to bludgeon independent media and populist news websites. It’s a story you will not hear in the mainstream press.
Hoft listed the numerous times that USAID actively funded national and international groups to censor, block, and demonetize The Gateway Pundit.
The incidents are well documented. Jim Hoft went over each organization that was paid government money to silence The Gateway Pundit and others.

In 2023, the State of Missouri and the State of Louisiana represented Jim Hoft from The Gateway Pundit in their case against the Biden administration and its censorship apparatus.
In March of ’24, the Supreme Court heard the case brought by Missouri, Louisiana, Jim Hoft, and four other plaintiffs. The court heard the Murthy versus Missouri case, the most important free speech case in the past several decades.
The case is ongoing. We, the plaintiffs, expect a favorable response from the government in this case in the months ahead.
In this suit, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft and reporter Jill Hines are suing one of the primary private cabals that coordinated with the federal government to effectively censor millions of people.
America First Legal (AFL) filed a federal class action against key persons and entities involved in the so-called “Election Integrity Partnership” and the “Virality Project,” on behalf of Jill Hines, the co-Director of Health Freedom Louisiana, and Jim Hoft, the founder the popular news website The Gateway Pundit.
Defendants include the Stanford Internet Observatory and its Director and Research Manager, Alex Stamos and Renée DiResta, Dr. Kate Starbird of the University of Washington, Graphika, and the Atlantic Research Council’s Digital Forensic Lab.
This case is also still ongoing.

Here are the several attempts by USAID to silence, deplatform, and demonetize The Gateway Pundit that were discussed in Saturday night’s speech:
Hamilton 68
In 2017, the Gateway Pundit was also targeted by a group called Hamilton 68. The group of powerful DC elites and prominent intel leaders claimed to track Russian propaganda. The group immediately listed Gateway Pundit as one of the top Russian propaganda websites, despite no proof of this whatsoever, in order to smear and damage our website.
Former CIA Chief Michael Morell and Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff were on the ADVISORY BOARD of the Hamilton 68.
In early 2017, Google immediately began hiding Gateway Pundit articles on their search engine. Google effectively made the Gateway Pundit disappear after years of having our stories prominently displayed.
Also in 2017, Facebook immediately began to ban and censor Gateway Pundit articles. Our Facebook traffic dwindled from 24% of our total traffic in 2016 to 2% a year later – an 88% decrease in Facebook traffic.
We later discovered we were not alone. Facebook banned traffic to numerous top conservative media outlets. Several of these outlets went out of business
In September 2018, Jim Hoft testified before Congress about Facebook’s targeted censorship of conservative outlets. At the same time this was happening, liberal outlets saw their traffic increase.

We were also banned on LinkedIn.
By 2020, The Gateway Pundit was so well known for being targeted and censored that Rush Limbaugh was compelled to discuss how media censorship was affecting the Gateway Pundit on his show.
Also, around this time local police warned Jim Hoft that Antifa had included him on their hit list..
During this time, Newsguard, a media fact-checking organization that targets conservatives and independent media, started targeting the Gateway Pundit, along with other conservative outlets.
We later found out that Newsguard was funded, in part, by the US Defense Department and was awarded $749,000 in 2021.
Since that allegation was made Newsguard insisted that they were not receiving direct funding by USAID. Instead it appears it was money given by USAID through several channels before it reaches Newsquard.
In 2021, liberal activists were successful in having Google ban the Gateway Pundit completely from their Google Ads program. They all cheered this development.
The UK’s Center for Countering Digital Hate was one of the groups behind this.
Internet sleuth Bad Kitty Unleashed released an explosive report recently on how the Center for Countering Digital Hate partnered with the US taxpayer-funded Restless Development organization to counter, blacklist, censor and silence Covid “disinformation” in 2021 and beyond.
Imran Awan, the CEO at The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), bragged about getting conservative news orgs such as the Gateway Pundit, the Federalist, and Zero Hedge reported to social media AND demonetized! Especially from Google Ads, a prominent advertiser online.

Sometime around 2023, the Department of Homeland Security created the Stanford EIP Censorship Group, The Gateway Pundit was the most targeted website by this censorship group created by the US government.
In March 2020 a partnership was created called the Trusted News Initiative (TNI) between Big Tech and legacy media to exclude rival publishers from the dominant internet platforms. The partnership was launched by BBC Director-General Tony Hall, with the agreement that members of the TNI “work together to . . . ensure that disinformation myths are stopped in their tracks.” This coordinated effort is, by definition, a classic form of a “group boycott” to damage the ability of smaller publishers to compete or even survive.
Members of the TNI include legacy media outlets the BBC, The Washington Post, Reuters, and Associated Press, along with social media and tech giants—Twitter, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Microsoft, Google/YouTube, and LinkedIn. TNI members collectively hold 90% of the overall social media market, 90% share of the social networking market, 75% of the video hosting market, and over 90% of the search-engine market.
The lawsuit alleges these outlets partnered with several Big Tech firms to “collectively censor online news,” including stories about COVID-19 and the 2020 U.S. presidential election that were not aligned with official narratives regarding those issues.
Plaintiffs in the lawsuit include Children’s Health Defense, Robert Kennedy Jr., Creative Destruction Media, Trial Site News, Ty and Charlene Bollinger (founders of The Truth About Cancer and The Truth About Vaccines), Erin Elizabeth Finn (publisher of Health Nut News), Jim Hoft (founder of The Gateway Pundit), Dr. Joseph Mercola and Ben Tapper, a chiropractor. There are proven indirect connections between USAID and the BBC and other members of TNI.
In 2020, the The Election Integrity Partnership was created to work with government to censor “election misinformation.”

The censorship never stops.
The Gateway Pundit has faced several debilitating lawsuits which have cost us significant income, time and energy. We resolved another lawsuit recently. The good news… Despite the continuous attacks on The Gateway Pundit we continue to grow our audience year after year. We currently average over 3 million page visits per day. In 2024 surpassed one billion page visits.
Despite all of the vicious attacks to destroy us, we continue to grow. It must make our detractors very, very angry.
We have learned over the last few years how the government and various media outlets have engaged in systematic censorship. It is one thing to talk about the problem of censorship. It is quite another to do something about it. A recent commentary by Katelynn Richardson provides a glimpse into what the incoming Trump administration plans to do about censorship.
Andrew Ferguson has been nominated by Trump as the new Federal Trade Commission chair. He said in a recent interview that Trump can cut off some censorship outright by prohibiting officials from participating with platforms and by cutting off funding for entitles that suppress speech.
Brennan Carr will head the FCC and has addressed concerns about censorship. In one of his interviews, he explained that one of his top priorities would be to “smash this censorship cartel.”
Harmeet Dhillon has been nominated to run the DOJ’s civil rights division. She worked with her firm on a case challenging the California Secretary of State’s Office coordination with Twitter to suppress speech.
Even Trump appointees who aren’t working directly on free speech will likely have an impact. Trump’s nominee for NIH is Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who co-authored the Great Barrington Declaration that challenged COVID-19 lockdowns and responses. And HHS nominee Robert F. Kennedy filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration for alleged First Amendment violations.
Of course, much of the fight against censorship will come from Donald Trump himself. In one campaign video he promised to “shatter the left-wing censorship regime.” He will likely sign an executive order banning agencies from collaborating with social media to suppress speech.
The parent company of Facebook and Instagram has announced it’s putting an end to its program that restricted free speech and censored messages that its “fact checkers” didn’t agree with.
The Meta company is officially scrapping its third-party fact-checking program. Instead, it’ll be shifting to a Community Notes model similar to what Elon Musk has used on his social media platform X. That method of accountability allows users to weigh in on the veracity of posts.
Meta is admitting that its third-party fact-checkers had their own biases and too much content ended up being silenced. Critics have said that all the “fact-checking” just ended up becoming a pathway for censorship.
In a post titled “More Speech and Fewer Mistakes,” Meta’s Chief Global Affairs Officer Joel Kaplan admitted, “…we are making too many mistakes, frustrating our users and too often getting in the way of the free expression we set out to enable. Too much harmless content gets censored, too many people find themselves wrongly locked up in ‘Facebook jail,’ and we are often too slow to respond when they do.”
Kaplan said the biases of its fact-checkers are a serious problem. “Over time we ended up with too much content being fact checked that people would understand to be legitimate political speech and debate,” he said.
And that censorship pressure didn’t just come from “independent fact-checkers.” As CBN News reported last year, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden White House pressured Facebook and Instagram to censor stories it didn’t like.
PALO ALTO, CA — Social media users rejoiced today as in an initiative to fight back against censorship, the guy who said Facebook was not suppressing free speech announced that Facebook would stop suppressing free speech.
Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg released a video statement outlining the upcoming changes that would be made to content restriction policies on Facebook and Instagram, revealing that Facebook would stop suppressing all the free speech he had previously insisted wasn’t being suppressed on Facebook.
“This is a major shift toward no longer doing the things I said we weren’t doing,” Zuckerberg said in the statement. “While we never suppressed free speech and expression at Facebook, we felt that the election of 2024 was a cultural pivot point that made it clear that we had to stop suppressing free speech and expression. Even though we absolutely never did it, starting now, we’re going to stop doing it.”
Conservatives who had been victimized by the social media platform’s oppressive policies were pleased to find out that the conduct Zuckerberg said never happened would reportedly come to an end in the coming months. “Even though it wasn’t ever happening, we’re not going to do it anymore,” Zuckerberg emphasized. “We owe it to our users who were never censored to stop censoring them.”
Zuckerberg stressed that these changes would be implemented over time, with the goal of putting an end to the policies that he said were never in place.
At publishing time, Zuckerberg’s video promoting free speech and limiting censorship on Facebook had been censored by Facebook.

Facebook destroyed The Gateway Pundit’s Facebook page along with several other top conservative performers for years. Meta says they are going to change that now that all of the prominent conservative pages have been eliminated.
On Tuesday, Meta, the company that owns both Facebook and Instagram, announced it is discontinuing its third-party fact-checking program after years of censoring conservative speech. In its place, Meta will adopt a user-generated “Community Notes” system, similar Elon Musk’s social media platform, X.
Mark Zuckerberg announced the change on Facebook. He says he wants to restore free expression. Hmm.
This shift will begin in the United States, where Meta will terminate its collaborations with so-called independent fact-checkers. The decision stems from the belief that these expert fact-checkers introduced their own biases into the process, leading to an excessive amount of content being fact-checked.
For years now, The Gateway Pundit has been speaking out on this unconstitutional assault on Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press.
After the 2016 election, Facebook began making algorithm changes to ensure conservative news was no longer an option for their users. Two studies released in March of 2018 confirm this. A study by The Outline Organization found conservative publishers were hit the hardest by Facebook algorithm changes — and that The Gateway Pundit was hit the hardest.
In February, Facebook launched another algorithm change to its platform. With the changes, our traffic dwindled even further.
We weren’t the only ones to be affected. The algorithmic change caused President Donald Trump’s engagement on Facebook posts to plummet a whopping 45%.
A Western Journal study in March 2018 revealed the same startling statistics. Further, this study found that liberal publishers actually saw an increase in traffic.
A June 2018 Gateway Pundit study of top conservative news outlets found that Facebook had eliminated 93% of traffic to top conservative websites.
Facebook began eliminating conservative content after the 2016 election.
Years later we discovered that the US government was behind much of the censorship of conservative websites.

The four page letter calls out the tech giants Facebook, Apple, Google, and Microsoft for participating in what he describes as “improper conduct.”
Carr wrote, “Big Tech companies silenced Americans for doing nothing more than exercising their First Amendment rights.” Carr accused the tech giants of “working in concert with so-called media monitors and others – to defund, demonetize and otherwise put out of business news outlets and organizations that dared to deviate from an approved narrative.”
Carr also pointed out how the tech giants were “participating in a censorship cartel that included not only technology and social media companies but advertising, marketing, and so-called “fact-checking” organizations as well as the Biden-Harris administration itself.”
Carr goes on, “The relevant conduct extended from removing or blocking social media posts to labeling whole websites or apps as “untrustworthy” or “high-risk” in an apparent effort to suppress their information and viewpoints, including through efforts to delist them, lower their rankings, or harm their profitability.
Says Carr, “This censorship cartel is an affront to Americans’ constitutional freedoms and must be completely dismantled.”
Commissioner Carr then describes the damage organizations like News Guard” that targets conservative and independent media have had on society today.

Financial Blacklisting: NewsGuard Advises Advertisers to Avoid Pro-Trump Media
NewsGuard, the news-filtering browser extension recently partnered with Microsoft and run by neoconservatives, Obama-Clinton alumni, and other assorted Trump haters, has advised advertisers to withdraw their business from websites on its blacklist of “unreliable” news websites — a list that includes Breitbart News, The Drudge Report, and the Daily Mail…
…The effect isn’t merely to silence pro-Trump media. It also ensures advertisers don’t market their products to Trump voters, causing them to rely less and less on consumers in the heartland, and more on progressive consumers who read establishment news sources.
In 2019 there was a report by La Corte News that revealed conservative sites are twice as likely to be rated unreliable as liberal publishers.
In March, we found out the United States Department of Defense was using taxpayer dollars to censor conservatives and independent media online.
