(VIDEO) Trump Announces Termination of Obama-Era “Endangerment Finding” on Greenhouse Gasses, Repealing Auto Stop-Start Feature and Green Emissions Standards in Cars – Obama Responds! | The Gateway Pundit

Former President Donald Trump delivers a speech in the White House, flanked by American flags and presidential seals, discussing key policies and initiatives.

President Trump announced on Thursday with Environmental Protection Agency EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, that his administration is terminating Obama’s climate-based regulations on automobiles that classified greenhouse gases as a threat to public health.

Trump said the Obama EPA’s “endangerment finding” was the precursor used to introduce “the massive and really, very expensive electric vehicle mandate.” It further mandated the automatic engine start-stop feature on newer cars, which Trump says he is ending, along with “all additional green emission standards imposed unnecessarily on vehicle models and engines between 2012 and 2027 and beyond.”

The policy classified greenhouse gases and car emissions as public health threats, which Trump says “severely damaged the American auto industry and massively drove up prices for American consumers.”

“This action will eliminate over $1.3 trillion of regulatory costs and help bring car prices tumbling down dramatically,” Trump added.

“You’re going to get a better car. You’re going to get a car that starts easier, a car that works better for a lot less money.”

Trump: I’m pleased to be joined today by EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, who you all know, and to announce the single largest deregulatory action in American history. That’s a big statement in American history, and I think we can add the words “by far.”

Under the process just completed by the EPA, we are officially terminating the so-called “endangerment finding,” a disastrous Obama-era policy that severely damaged the American auto industry and massively drove up prices for American consumers. Prices went up incredibly for a worse product. This action will eliminate over $1.3 trillion of regulatory costs and help bring car prices tumbling down dramatically. You’re going to get a better car. You’re going to get a car that starts easier, a car that works better for a lot less money.

The President further announced that he is terminating all of the unnecessary energy standards on American vehicles, which he says will save Americans trillions and reduce vehicle costs by an average of $3,000.

Trump: In 2009, Barack Hussein Obama, his EPA designated fossil fuels, such as oil, gas, and other things that actually make factories rock and roll and other things drive very nicely, as a threat to health and human welfare. Known as the “endangerment finding,” this determination had no basis in fact, had none whatsoever, and it had no basis in law. On the contrary, over the generations, fossil fuels have saved millions of lives and lifted billions of people out of poverty all over the world. And you see it with the blackouts all over where they don’t use it, where they went to wind, intermittent wind, which is weak and ineffective and very, very costly, the most costly energy there is. And people are dying because there was no air conditioning, or there was no heating, lots of other things, bad things happened. And yet this radical rule became the legal foundation for the green new scam, one of the greatest scams in history, probably as great, maybe even greater than Russia, Russia, Russia, hoax, etc, which the Obama and Biden administration used to destroy countless jobs.

The jobs have been just decimated, although they’re all coming back because of tariffs; they’re all coming back into our country at levels we’ve never seen before. But it raised prices and caused immense harm to the US auto industry. We thought irreparable, but we’ve got them back. We’re coming back now. I was in Detroit, as you know, with Ford, and they had one of the earliest plants from the early 1900s, and it was going to be closed down. And then when I won, they said, let’s keep it open for a little while. Let’s see what happens. And they just announced, as you know, they’re going 24 hours around the clock with that same plant that was going to be closed because of what we’ve done.

For example, under the endangerment finding, they forced the hated start-stop feature onto American consumers, which unnecessarily shuts off a car’s engine when you stop at a red light. In other words, the engine goes off. That’s great. The endangerment finding was also used to impose the massive and really, very expensive electric vehicle mandate, expensive in the sense that nobody wanted it. Everybody was going to be forced to buy an electric car in a very short period of time, even though you can’t power the car, because we would have had to spend $5 trillion on power stations. That’s all dead, gone, over. These crippling restrictions were a major factor in driving up car prices to unprecedented levels, and the car that you were getting was not nearly as good.

In four years under the Biden administration, the price of a new and used car rose more than 22% all to facilitate the green new scam, without achieving any meaningful impact on the environment, but making the car worse. That’s why, effective immediately, we’re repealing the ridiculous endangerment finding and terminating all additional green emission standards imposed unnecessarily on vehicle models and engines between 2012 and 2027 and beyond. This action will save American consumers trillions of dollars and will lower the average cost of a new vehicle by close to $3,000.

Barack Obama responded to the rule change, claiming Trump is making Americans “less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.”

IN TODAY’S DIGEST

EXECUTIVE NEWS SUMMARY

The Editors

  • Canadian trans shooter: The tragic school attack in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on Tuesday claimed eight lives, not counting the deceased assailant. The 18-year-old attacker killed six at the school after killing his mother, who expressed support for trans rights, and his stepbrother at home. Early reports suggested that the “female gunperson” was actually a man who identified as a woman, which the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has now confirmed. The RCMP insists on honoring the murderer’s preferred pronouns while PBS News refers to him only as “the suspect.” The reason is obvious: The Canadian government and Leftmedia cannot admit that trans identification is a sign either of severe mental health issues or of severe parental and medical abuse — in most cases, both.
  • Drug cartel drones: The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily closed the airspace around the El Paso airport on Wednesday, citing “special security reasons.” The FAA initially said the closure would last 10 days, but it quickly reversed course, and the airspace has since been reopened. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth explained, “The FAA and DOW acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion. The threat has been neutralized, and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region.” El Paso Mayor Renard Johnson expressed frustration over the sudden airspace closure “without coordinating with the city, the airport, the hospitals, the community leadership.” Patriot Post Publisher Mark Alexander says, “Reading between the lines, I believe there was likely a credible threat from a drone against commercial aircraft at El Paso, but when Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued his statement, that was deemed too threatening to travelers and may have spilled something classified.”
  • Border czar announces end of immigration crackdown in Minnesota: Operation Metro Surge, which saw thousands of immigration enforcement agents stationed in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, is coming to an end. Border Czar Tom Homan proposed ending the six-week operation, and the president concurred. Homan reports that cooperation with local officials has improved, and many arrests can now take place in the safety of jails where criminal illegals are being held. Operation Metro Surge saw more than 4,000 arrests. Despite Homan’s meetings with Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, it does not appear that Frey has backed down from his stance that Minneapolis police will not honor federal immigration law. Time will tell if this action will prove to be a win for riotous and insurrectionist protesters or the Rule of Law and mass deportation efforts.
  • House passes the SAVE Act; Senate unlikely to follow: The House passed the SAVE Act on Wednesday in a 218-213 vote along partisan lines. The SAVE Act should be unapologetically supported by every red-blooded American. In fact, a Pew Research survey shows that required voter ID enjoys massive bipartisan support — except in Congress. Unlike 71% of Democrat voters, congressional Democrats strongly oppose election integrity laws requiring photo ID. The reason is simple: This would prevent noncitizens from voting and make ballot fraud much harder, though Democrats argue that some people just can’t figure out how to get IDs and would be kept from voting. This bill is unfortunately likely to die in the Senate, as a similar bill did last year, because current filibuster rules would require it to clear a 60-vote threshold.
  • House passes Dems’ legislation against Trump’s tariffs: The House on Wednesday passed the Democrat-led resolution to terminate Donald Trump’s use of the National Emergencies Act to impose tariffs. The resolution passed thanks to six Republican lawmakers joining the Democrats. It’s largely symbolic because even if the Senate were to take it up and pass it, Trump would veto it, and there are not enough votes to override a veto. One of the Republicans who voted in favor, Rep. Don Bacon, argued, “Article I of the Constitution places authority over taxes and tariffs with Congress for a reason. … It’s time for Congress to reclaim that responsibility.” Meanwhile, his Republican colleague, Rep. Brian Mast, who voted against the bill, observed, “Even Canada acknowledges that they have this as a national emergency. This is Democrats trying to ignore that there is a fentanyl crisis.”
  • Omar yearns for “pedophile” Trump’s execution: Minnesota (read: Somalia) Rep. Ilhan Omar took to X to call President Trump the leader of the “Pedophile Protection Party” after his administration released the Epstein files, something the Biden administration steadfastly refused to do. The practicing Muslim added, “At least in Somalia they execute pedophiles, not elect them.” Omar’s religion was founded by Muhammad, a bigamist and pedophile who married a six-year-old girl — although some Islamic apologists insist he waited until she was a “mature” nine-year-old before consummating the marriage. Somalia has one of the highest child marriage rates worldwide, with nearly 15% marrying before the age of 15, and legislation in that country has been proposed that would allow marriage at the age of 10. And what would Omar do about people marrying their siblings?
  • Bad Bunny lost nearly 10M viewers: Viewership numbers are in for the Super Bowl this past Sunday, which generated nearly 125 million viewers across all of NBC’s platforms. That total puts it just behind last year’s record-breaking Super Bowl viewership of 128 million. However, unlike last year, when the Halftime Show featuring Bad Bunny began, overall viewership dropped by nearly 10 million. This is the opposite of what happened during last year’s Super Bowl, which saw an increase in viewership at halftime. Meanwhile, Turning Point USA’s competing “All-American Halftime Show” featuring Kid Rock was streamed on YouTube and several other platforms, drawing nearly 28 million viewers. Given that success, TPUSA may do it again next year, especially if the NFL elects to ignore Americans in favor of catering to a world audience.
  • California’s rent relief for illegals scam: LA County supervisor Lindsey Horvath announced a $30 million rent relief program for wildfire survivors — which would be nice except it also applies to “people impacted by ICE raids.” It is California, but at least Palisades fire survivors who are still renting since their homes burned down last year will get some help, right? Wrong. As it turns out, the applications will be sorted, and priority will be given to those in “COVID vulnerability zones.” It is unclear what COVID vulnerability has to do with wildfires or ICE raids, but it is clear that these priority zones will mean that illegals will get their funds and likely bleed the program dry long before anyone in the area of the Palisades fire.
  • Former Miss CA USA booted from WH Religious Liberty Commission: Former Miss California USA Prejean Boller was kicked off the White House Religious Liberty Commission this week. Boller’s expulsion came after she got into a heated back-and-forth with witnesses during a hearing on Israel’s war in Gaza. Boller, who showed up for the event wearing a Palestinian flag pin, took umbrage with a witness who refused to condemn Israel for what it did to Gaza. She also took offense over podcaster Candace Owens being labeled antisemitic, stating, “I listen to her daily. … She’s not an antisemite. She just doesn’t support Zionism.” Commission Chairman Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick explained his decision to boot Boller, stating, “No member of the Commission has the right to hijack a hearing for their own personal and political agenda on any issue.”
  • Olympics bans Ukrainian athlete over his helmet featuring friends killed in the war: Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych has been disqualified from competing in the Winter Games in Italy due to his helmet that honors his Ukrainian friends and fellow athletes who were killed in the Russia-Ukraine war with a simple display of their images. He refused the IOC’s request to wear a different helmet, stating in response, “This is [the] price of our dignity.” The IOC cited an Olympic rule against political messages on the field of play as the reason for the violation. In 2022 at the Beijing Olympics, Heraskevych displayed a “No war in Ukraine” sign after his final run, and the IOC did not view merely calling for peace as a violation of the same rule. Heraskevych was a medal contender in the sport and said he would appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

EPA Upends the Endangerment Finding

Nate Jackson

In what EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin called “the largest act of deregulation in the history of the United States,” the Environmental Protection Agency is repealing the “endangerment finding” made by Barack Obama’s EPA in 2009. That legal determination based on The Science™ says greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide, methane, and four others, are pollutants, which then requires the federal government to regulate emissions of those gases under the 1963 Clean Air Act. Repealing that finding is certainly a huge and welcome rollback of climate policy.

Naturally, the climate alarmists — whom we often call ecofascists for their use of fear tactics to justify massive government intrusion in everyday life — are fit to be tied.

I’ll sum it up this way: Alarmists blame emissions for climate change, which they claim causes a seemingly never-ending parade of horribles from asthma to wildfires and from droughts to floods. Therefore, they reason, we must reduce emissions by every means necessary — preferably through heavy-handed government regulations. The pipe dream of “net zero” emissions is their goal because, to the climate cultists, this is existential.

That’s why Obama launched this overreach to classify gases we breathe alongside actual pollutants that cause harm. It’s why Joe Biden took it as far as essentially mandating electric vehicles. Donald Trump and his administration argue that repealing the finding will lead to deregulation savings of $1.3 trillion on everything from cars to energy.

“More energy drives human flourishing,” said Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. “Energy abundance is the thing that we have to focus on, not regulating certain forms of energy out.”

Energy Secretary Chris Wright added, “Our goal is to drive down the price of energy for Americans.”

Alarmists always counter that it’ll be vastly more expensive if we don’t submit to their prescribed regulations. We know how much regulations cost, but it takes an awful lot of faith in often disingenuous people to believe that Big Government rules generate any savings.

The Supreme Court has already ruled on this. Last July, when the Zeldin-led EPA announced its intention on this finding, our Thomas Gallatin wrote:

In the [George W. Bush-era] 2007 case Massachusetts v. EPA, the Supreme Court considered the issue of whether the Environmental Protection Agency could regulate GHGs under the Clean Air Act. The Court ruled 5-4 that “greenhouse gases fit well within the Act’s capacious definition of ‘air pollutant,’” meaning the “EPA has statutory authority to regulate emission of such gases.” Tellingly, the Court noted that “policy judgments have nothing to do with whether greenhouse gas emissions contribute to climate change and do not amount to a reasoned justification for declining to form a scientific judgment.” Instead, the Court said that the EPA had the authority to determine whether GHGs “cause or contribute to air pollution which may be reasonably be anticipated to endanger public health or welfare, or whether the science is too uncertain to make a reasoned decision.”

That ruling means ecofascist groups already have lawsuit paperwork prepared to immediately challenge the Trump administration in court.

Team Trump wants them to bring it on. Part of the rationale for repealing the endangerment finding is to provoke a challenge that could get the Supreme Court, with its current 6-3 conservative majority, to overturn Massachusetts or at least allow this policy to move forward. Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Samuel Alito, and Justice Clarence Thomas all dissented in the 2007 case, and several subsequent cases have undermined the legal framework of that ruling.

The Trump administration knows that a Democrat administration could reverse course without the Supreme Court’s help, though there could be another way.

The New York Times stumbled onto a novel concept that, under our constitutional system of three coequal branches, might just work: “A more definitive way to address the issue would be for Congress to weigh in. Democrats could pass legislation that defined greenhouse gases as air pollutants under the Clean Air Act, giving the E.P.A. the explicit authority to regulate them. Conversely, Republicans could enact legislation that said the opposite.”

Big if true.

Sarcasm aside, that’s exactly Team Trump’s strategy — to take back executive and legislative authority instead of ceding it to judges and left-wing activists.

The alarmists act as if Republicans want smoggy air and dirty water, as well as to suffocate kids and torment puppies. The only way to save the planet, they insist, is with the heavy hand of government. That’s slanderous fearmongering from a group of Chicken Littles whose cataclysmic prophecies have failed to materialize time after time.

Even The Washington Post’s editorial gets it, writing, “Free-market-driven innovation has done more to combat climate change than regulatory power grabs like the ‘endangerment finding’ ever did.”

There’s a bigger truth, though, as argued by columnist David Harsanyi: “The notion that man-made greenhouse gases pose an existential threat to humankind has been little more than a backdoor way to institute unpopular environmentalist policies and temper economic growth. It’s about time we end the scam.”

The Trump administration is moving that ball forward.

Climate Alarmists Are Often Wrong But Never in Doubt | ZeroHedge

Authored by Gary Abernathy via The Empowerment Alliance,

One of the most annoying things about climate doomsayers is the certainty with which they make their dire predictions, while simultaneously making excuses for all their past prognostications that failed to materialize. Let’s revisit a few.

In the early to mid-1970s, several magazine articles and a number of scientists predicted that cooling trends could usher in a new “mini-ice age” beginning within a few short years. Didn’t happen. In fact, new crystal balls went from cold to hot.

A June 1989 Associated Press story quoted “a senior U.N. environmental official” who claimed that “entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, insisted that “governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.” Without action “ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations.”

At last report, the Maldives continue to thrive – thanks largely to growing tourism! According to CBS News, in 2009 former Vice President Al Gore (always good for a chuckle) “told a U.N. climate conference that new data suggests the Arctic polar ice cap may disappear in the summertime as soon as five to seven years from now,” meaning 2016 at the latest. Didn’t happen.

In 2000, the UK Independent ran an article quoting a scientist who suggested that within a decade, thanks to global warming, British children “won’t know what snow is.” Don’t tell that to the British youngsters and others who experienced the severe winters of 2010, 2013, 2018, etc.

Enough? Let’s do a couple more.

There were numerous predictions in the early 2000s that all glaciers in Glacier National Park would disappear by 2020 or, if we were lucky, by 2030.

Later predictions delayed the glaciers’ inevitable demise to 2050,” according to a December 2025 article in the Daily Inter Lake. “Now, researchers say there is reason to believe some of the park’s perennial ice formations will persist into the 2100s.” Glaciers are famously stubborn. Several news stories over the years have quoted scientists and climate alarmists predicting that New York City would disappear under water thanks to flooding due to climate change.

For instance, in 2011, on the heels of Hurricane Irene, The Guardian produced the headline, “Major storms could submerge New York City in next decade,” and a subhead, “Sea-level rise due to climate change could cripple the city in Irene-like storm scenarios, new climate report claims.”

Instead, the only tsunami facing New York City is the flood of debt coming under socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Despite a track record that should discourage even the most ardent true believer, the predictions keep flying, fast and furious, most centered these days around slightly rising temperatures that will allegedly increase rainfall, create more wicked storms, and lead to drought, flood (they always cover both possibilities) or other catastrophes.

“Climate change is real, it’s happening and unless we do something about it soon, the consequences will be severe,” according to Martin Krause, director of the United Nations Environment Programme’s Climate Change Division. Second verse, same as the first.

While most believers in manmade climate change are part of the “Let’s Come Up With the Worst Case Scenario and Hope it Scares Everyone Into Action” school of alarmism, it’s refreshing to occasionally come across someone with a more reasonable approach.

Fitting that bill might be Noah Kaufman, former senior economist at the Council of Economic Advisers during the Biden administration, currently a senior research scholar at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy and a co-director of the Resilient Energy Economies Initiative.

In a “let’s all calm down a minute” article appearing earlier this month in The Atlantic, Kaufman – while making it clear that he personally is firmly aboard the manmade climate change bandwagon – laments the specific time-and-date panic predictions that have helped lose respect and credibility for his cause.

“Few economists embrace these all-or-nothing views on climate policy,” Kaufman writes. Kaufman points out that “quantitative estimates of aggregated global damages over centuries lie far beyond our analytical capabilities. Small changes in assumptions … can yield results that appear tojustify virtually any policy response.”

At the end of the day, “these models can display a pessimistic worldview in which climate damages accelerate to catastrophic levels, or a more optimistic one in which human progress keeps damages relatively modest. They offer little help in determining which of these futures is coming.”

Kaufman concludes by acknowledging that “the full effects of climate change are unknowable, and a more constructive public discussion about climate policy will require getting more comfortable with that.”

I recommend Kaufman’s article. Even though I will likely remain among those who agree that the climate routinely changes but remain skeptical about the extent of mankind’s impact, I don’t mind discussing it and listening to different viewpoints. Such conversation is much more palatable with someone who is not exhibiting a holier-than-thou attitude or demeaning the intelligence of anyone who disagrees.

More manmade climate change believers who take a respectful, calmer and non-accusatoryapproach to the naysayers could go a long way in lowering the temperature – and don’t we all agree on that objective?

UN Conference Proves Climate Agenda Is All About Money And Woke Cultism | ZeroHedge

In the past five years the institutional discussions surrounding climate change have shifted noticeably from “net zero” goals (zero net carbon emissions from target countries) to a more mercenary debate over carbon taxation.  The question on everyone’s mind is this:  Who gets the most access to those delicious climate funds?

Who gets access to the cash is less important than who gets to manage the cash, but we’ll get to that issue in a moment.

The recent COP30 event held last week in Brazil was largely focused on wealth redistribution with a lesser emphasis on carbon reductions.  Climate “financing” is the name of the game, and COP30 was largely a squabble over which countries will get the most access to the various carbon taxes and donations collected by global intermediaries.  In fact, the conference was largely considered a failure.  From The Guardian:

“The sticking point was fossil fuels. As science has told us for well over a century, the carbon dioxide that burning them produces is heating up the planet, now to dangerous levels.  But in more than 30 years of annual climate meetings, the need for that to halt has been mentioned only once…”

“…Meanwhile, developing countries desperately wanted to move forward on securing the money that would help them cope with the already disastrous impacts of extreme weather.  By the early hours of Saturday, some delegates were ready to walk out and force a collapse. “It was on the edge for us,” said Ed Miliband, the UK energy minister. “I was prepared to walk away.””

The meaninglessness of the climate apparatus becomes evident at these kinds of events; flush with thousands of bureaucrats who serve no purpose, clamoring for money that is essentially stolen in the name of a crisis that doesn’t exist.

At COP30, developing countries secured a tripling to $120bn of annual finance to help them adapt to the impacts of extreme weather, but that sum will not be delivered in full until 2035.

Developing nations have already garnered billions in climate financing.  India, for example, receives around $30 billion annually in climate funding which is meant to help third-world countries reduce their reliance on oil and coal while developing “green tech.”  The dramatic inefficiency of green energy aside, it’s unlikely that much of this financing is actually going into improving carbon emissions in India or anywhere else.

The biggest beneficiaries are NGOs and Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) working closely with the World Bank.  These organizations collect the carbon funds and then redistribute that money according to their own guidelines.  Carbon taxes also represent a fresh revenues source for various governments in the first-world, with some of this money being transferred to intermediaries in the name of “Climate Reparations.”

The woke vernacular of the climate agenda is no coincidence.  Calls for reparation, equity and “climate justice” reveal the globalist/socialist roots of the global warming scam.  Environmental groups were quick to promote wealth redistribution in the name of imaginary climate crimes and “colonialism”.  COP30 partially adopted this language by supporting the Belém Package – An agreement to integrate “equity” into climate financing decisions.

“There can be no true climate justice without reparatory justice,” say climate activist groups in a letter sent to COP30.

“The climate crisis did not arise recently — it is a continuation of centuries of greenhouse emissions, extraction, dispossession, and racial violence,” the letter said, urging COP30 to address historical injustices and the need for reparations as part of any negotiation on climate.

The melding of woke activism and climate hysteria is part of a larger progressive cultism that, until recently, has been infecting global politics like a plague.  There are obviously millions of true believers when it comes to global warming doom, just as there were millions of people that embraced the pandemic hysteria of covid.  However, the main thrust of climate governance is still mostly about cold hard cash.

There is, of course, no science that supports the claim of a causation relationship between man-made carbon emissions and global warming.  As we have noted many times in the past, climate scientists rely on a tiny 140 year window of temperature data to defend their claims.  If we look at a much larger window of hundreds of millions of years, the temperatures today are actually some of the coldest ever recorded.

Furthermore, when comparing atmospheric carbon content data over the same timeline, it is undeniable that carbon emissions have no relation to planetary temps.  They simply do not match up.

Climate scientists dishonestly ignore this data in preference of a 140 year model; a meaningless timeline which offers no insight into why the Earth warms or cools and when it might do so in the future.  They insist on the assumption that carbon “pollution” created by human industry is the cause of current warming and then adjust their models to support this assumption.  It’s not science, it’s the opposite, but there’s a lot of money to be made by perpetuating the lie.

We’re told over and over again by the media that climate change is the biggest, most imminent threat to the future health, stability, and happiness of mankind and everything else that lives on earth. But is it really climate change or is it climate science that’s the real threat to our future?

Well, the science of climate change is very much a science involving a lot of interpretation. Many of the conclusions presented as facts to the public are nothing more than the results of computer models—and models are only as good as the data they receive and how that data is interpreted! And it’s humans—fallible humans who don’t know everything and are biased—who decide which data points to include and how to weight those data points. The result is models that are very worldview dependent. And that’s why the predictions—the so-called facts—are wrong over and over again.

And bear in mind that scientists who disagree with the perceived threat that climate change represents or who give alternative interpretations will likely not receive funding, be published in mainstream journals, or have their scientific careers advanced. There’s a lot of gatekeeping that goes into ensuring the climate hysteria narrative is the only narrative that anyone hears (just as one example, an editor of one journal was fired for publishing an article skeptical of man-made climate change—in a special issue all about various views on the climate!).

What the public, the government, activists, and watchdog groups hear as “scientific fact” or “consensus” matters because those views shape policy—and that policy impacts people.

Climate science isn’t just some theoretical idea with little impact on our day-to-day lives either. What the public, the government, activists, and watchdog groups hear as “scientific fact” or “consensus” matters because those views shape policy—and that policy impacts people.

Consider how the myth of overpopulation and the belief that humans are destroying this planet’s climate and future have resulted in the spread of abortifacient birth control and abortions in developing countries to try to halt population growth.

Or that lack of access to efficient and cheap energy negatively impacts the poorest among us.

Or that fear-mongering causes anxiety and depression in the younger generations, making them believe they have no future—so much so that many are choosing not to have children because the future is so “bleak”!

Yes, climate “science” has real implications that impact real people, and that’s why we care about this issue. You can learn more in this episode of Answers News, our weekly show posted to our YouTube channel every Friday, featuring special guest and wildlife ecologist Jessica DeFord:

Ten Years After the Paris Climate Agreement, Climatism Is Crumbling | The Gateway Pundit

This story originally was published by Real Clear Wire

By Steve Goreham

COP30, the UN climate conference, is underway in Belem, Brazil. Thousands of representatives from all over the world have journeyed to discuss how to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to try to fight human-caused climate change. But ten years after the Paris Climate Agreement, the global consensus on climate change is crumbling.

COP30 is the thirtieth “conference of the parties.” The first took place in Berlin in 1995. At COP21 in Paris in 2015, more than 190 countries signed the Paris Climate Agreement, pledging to cut emissions and to limit global warming to 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

About 50,000 people are attending COP30 from more than 190 nations. But key world leaders are not attending, including President Xi Jinping of China, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, and President Donald Trump of the U.S. Climatism, the ideology pushing for a global transition to Net Zero energy, faces a rising tide of opposition across the world.

Two weeks before COP30, billionaire and philanthropist Bill Gates posted a memo to COP30 on his website titled “Three Tough Truths About Climate.” In it he states that “Climate change is a serious problem, but it will not be the end of civilization,” and also that “Unfortunately, the doomsday outlook is causing much of the climate community to focus too much on near-term emissions goals … ” He also said that “Our chief goal should be to prevent suffering, particularly for those in the toughest conditions who live in the world’s poorest countries.”

This is a remarkable change of position for Mr. Gates, who has spent billions in the fight against climate change over the last two decades. In 2021, he wrote a best-selling book titled How to Avoid a Climate Disaster. His shift of emphasis away from stopping emissions to solving real world problems is a move away from climate alarmism and toward common-sense policy.

President Trump called climate change “the greatest scam ever perpetrated on the world” in his address to the UN General Assembly in September. During the last 10 months, the Trump Administration has shut down permits for offshore wind, slashed subsidies for wind, solar, and electric vehicles, cut climate funding, and banned climate change rhetoric in government documents. The U.S. is not sending delegates to COP30.

But in addition to the U.S., opposition to Net Zero and Climatism is rising in other nations. Reform UK, the opposition party led by Nigel Farage in the UK, is now using the phrase “Net Stupid Zero.” Reform UK is now leading in some political polls.

Alternative für Deutschland, the number two political party in Germany, wants to tear down all wind turbines, calling them “windmills of shame.” Germany has more than 20,000 wind turbines installed, one of the highest densities in the world. Last month the Nationals party in Australia voted to abandon support for Net Zero. Nationals leader David Littleproud said, “We believe in reducing emissions, but not at any cost.” Australia, Germany, the UK, and other nations are struggling with escalating energy costs and no apparent benefit from Net Zero policies.

What have thirty UN climate conferences accomplished since 1995? The answer is “no measurable climate benefit.” Since 2000, the world has spent about $10 trillion on renewable energy, but hydrocarbons─coal, natural gas, and oil─still provided 87% of world energy in 2024 according to the Energy Institute.

Since 1965, global energy consumption has quadrupled and has accelerated since 2000.  Every year the world adds about an additional UK worth of energy consumption. Except for the recession year of 2012 and the COVID-19 year of 2020, wind, solar, and other renewables failed to generate enough new energy to provide for the global increase in consumption, let alone replace hydrocarbons.

Last year, former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said, “There shouldn’t be any more coal-fired power plants permitted anywhere in the world.” But global coal consumption continues to rise. Today, more than 6,500 coal-fired power plants operate across the world and another 1,000 are in planning or under construction. In 2024, coal provided 34% of the world’s electricity, the largest source of power.

Global energy consumption will continue to rise. The U.S. has about 80 vehicles for every 100 people, but vehicle usage in Africa and India remains below 10 vehicles for every 100 people. Today, developed nations use up to 20 times as much plastic as poor nations on a per-person basis. Developing nations will continue to use more hydrocarbon fuels to enable their economies to grow.

As Mr. Gates has observed, poverty still characterizes many of the world’s people. Almost 700 million people do not have access to electricity and another two billion have blackouts or brownouts every other day. Over two billion people do not have access to clean water. Millions die each year from malaria, typhoid, and other diseases. World leaders should concentrate on these real problems, instead of unfounded concerns about carbon dioxide emissions.

From the political scene to the continued growth of hydrocarbon energy, the global climate consensus and the push for Net Zero is crumbling. It’s time for nations to return to sensible energy policy.

United Nations Reveals Global Climate Agenda at COP30 | IFA

From November 10 through 21, the global elites will gather in Brazil for the United Nations (UN) annual climate conference, known as COP30.

Who is praying on the wall?

World leaders, heads of state, diplomats, scientists, activists, non-profits, journalists, royalty, movie stars, and the rest, will make their way – many in private jets — to discuss the urgency of preparing for the worst impacts of climate change.

Climate change, according to the UN, causes “disasters” such as prolonged droughts, flooding, excessive high tides, rising sea levels, raging forest fires, stronger hurricanes, extreme blizzards, and global warming.

In other words, human activity is causing rapid changes to the global climate. Climate “experts” warn that we are running out of time to avoid a climate catastrophe.

Global warming appears to be the UN’s greatest concern. The best way to fight against rising temperatures, they say, is to reduce fossil fuel emissions to zero and invest in new technology to capture and process renewable energy.

All countries are vulnerable to climate change, the UN states, but it’s the developing countries who must provide financial support for action on climate change.

What is COP?

COP stands for Conference of the Parties, and it’s the main decision-making body for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which was adopted by the UN in 1992.

COP30 is a gathering of the 197 countries that signed on to the 1992 UNFCC. This is the 30th year of this summit – hence COP. It’s a call to bring together governments and the private sector to create solutions for the climate “crisis”.

The goal of UNFCC is to “prevent ‘dangerous’ human interference with the climate system.” UNFCC declares they must “act in the interests of human safety even in the face of scientific uncertainty.”

COP30 Theme is the COP of Implementation

COP30 attendees are expected to work on the future of climate action and, according to the World Economic Forum, “deliver the transformational change that climate science demands.” The goals of COP 30 are:

  1. Turn talk into action

Countries have been promising for years to reduce their carbon emissions, the chief villain of global warming. But many countries have been dragging their feet to actually put their talk into action. But at COP30, countries will be asked to put forward specific plans to reduce pollution and carbon emissions.

  1. Closing the money gap

Rich countries need to step up with more funding for developing countries to implement clean-energy projects. Discussions will take place to develop a road map to mobilize $300 billion a year for climate finance. USAID was once a major donor to COP’s climate spending, but is no longer under Trump’s State Department.

  1. Preserve tropical rainforests

Since COP30 is taking place in Belem, Brazil, a city known as ‘the gateway to the Amazon’, there will be added emphasis on protecting rainforests. The attendees will debate Brazil’s Tropical Forest Forever Facility, an initiative to raise $125 billion to help countries maintain their tropical forests. In an ironic twist, Brazil has cut through tens of thousands of acres in the Amazon rainforest to build a four-lane highway for the 50,000 attendees to get to the COP30 climate summit.

  1. Social policies

Reducing poverty, creating jobs, and including women, indigenous peoples, and youth to ensure climate justice are on the COP30 agenda as well.

COP30 also hopes to continue accelerating the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewables, make progress towards a net-zero world, help countries adapt to climate change, and protect nature.

Climate Change Disagreements

Climate change activists and scientists declare with the utmost authority that the science proving climate change is “undeniable”, as well as “human-induced.”

But is it?

Many scientists and politicians disagree on the causes of climate change and the severity of its impact. Many question the reliability of predictor models to forecast future climate changes, as well as doubt the reliability of the weather and climate data being collected.

For instance, dissenting scientists claim that warming trends are overestimated, and long-term trends show very little temperature change.

Others say warming and cooling periods are part of the Earth’s natural climate cycles, and there is not enough data to prove it’s man-made.

Other scientists believe climate change may be real, but it is not an existential threat. They question the urgency to act. Some say warming may be beneficial, and it’s better to adapt to climate change than try to eliminate carbon emissions.

Dissenting scientists are often punished by the climate establishment of scientists, activists, politicians, and the media. They are dismissed, called climate deniers, and are often censored or silenced. Many are fired from their jobs or sanctioned by scientific organizations.

Are Climate Change Policies Losing Support?

President Trump, on his first day in office, removed the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, calling it “an unfair, one-sided Paris climate accord rip-off.”

The agreement was for countries to limit global warming to 3.5 degrees Fahrenheit to reduce extreme weather caused by climate change. COP30 is looking for actionable carbon-cutting plans from member countries to stop the rise in global temperature.

In his speech at the UN in September, the president called climate change the “greatest con job ever perpetuated on the world”, a “green scam” based on “predictions made by stupid people.”

In March, Lee Zeldin, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator, announced a historic rollback of Biden-era climate change regulations. “We are driving a dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion to drive down cost of living for American families, unleash American energy, bring auto jobs back to the U.S. and more,” Mr. Zeldin said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio led the efforts to stop the International Maritime Organization (IMO) from adopting a carbon tax for global shipping.

The European Union is swiftly rolling back environmental policies in its Green Deal. The Guardian is reporting that political support for environmental rules has dried up in several wealthy economies. The UK is facing growing political resistance to the government’s COP pledge for net-zero emissions by 2050.

President Trump has also announced the U.S. will not be sending any “high-level” administration officials to COP30. Instead, the president says he is directly engaging with world leaders on energy partnerships. However, more than 100 state and local leaders announced they will attend COP30.

Polling on climate change reveals a divided America. For instance, one-third of Americans say climate change policies help the economy, one-third say they hurt, and one-third say they make no difference. Half the country says climate policies help the environment, while the other half says they harm or make no difference to the environment.

Bill Gates Pivots Away from Doomsday Climate Warnings

Recently, billionaire Bill Gates, an ardent supporter of climate change, now says climate change won’t be the “end of civilization” as many of the COP30 attendees believe. While COP30 argues for urgent action now to reduce carbon emissions, Mr. Gates says it’s time to “pivot” away from curbing emissions and work to prevent suffering in the world’s poorest countries.

If given the choice between ending malaria and a tenth-degree increase in global temperatures, Mr. Gates said, he’d choose getting rid of malaria. He urged world leaders gathering at COP30 to ask themselves if the money spent on climate change is the right thing to do.

His pivot has sent shockwaves through the climate activist community. Many are calling him just plain wrong. Mr. Gates is advocating for the world to adapt to climate change and is spending money on other energy technologies, such as nuclear power.

God is Sovereign Over the Earth

COP30 is convinced that an extreme and devastating climate crisis is imminent, but is it? They’ll gather in their private jets to earnestly discuss what urgent actions must be taken immediately to save the planet from imminent climate disaster… without any diverse voices or viewpoints.

Climate change may or may not be real or caused by humans using fossil fuels. But as Christians, what we do know is that God is good and He is sovereign. We worship the Creator, not the creation. Earth is our home for as long as God wants it to be, and we shall not fear. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. (Psalm 46:2-4)

Let’s pray for COP30 and the attendees that they will know this, too.

God said, It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. (Isaiah 45:12) May Cop30 and the decisions made there reflect the glory of the Lord over all the earth.

Let’s Pray for COP30

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the Great Creator of Heaven and Earth. The world was formed at Your command. Nothing in nature would exist if not for You. You have authority over the whole earth, the winds, the seas, and the skies. You rule them, and they instantly obey You. You cover the sky with clouds. You supply the earth with rain and make grass grow on the hills. You send Your command to the earth. Your word runs swiftly. You spread the snow like wool and scatter the frost like ashes. You hurl down hail like pebbles. Who can withstand Your icy blast? You send Your word and melt them. You stir up Your breezes, and the waters flow. (Psalm 147: 8, 15-18)

Lord, may the attendees gathering look to You and acknowledge that You are sovereign. Give them wisdom to make decisions that honor You and your creation. May COP30 attendees view climate change honestly and not through any personal agenda. May they seek Your will. You set the earth on its foundations so it can never be moved. You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took to flight; they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them. You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth. You springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. (Psalm 104:5-10 NIV)

Lord, we pray that we would all care for your creation, seeking Your guidance. Remind us, Lord, that this world is not our home, but one day You will replace this earth with a new, incorruptible earth, so amazing and wonderful we cannot even imagine. The present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. (2 Peter 3:7 NIV)

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1).

It Literally Never Stops: The Earth Is Being Absolutely Pummeled By Disaster After Disaster | End Of The American Dream

So many disasters are happening so frequently that it is almost impossible to keep up with them all.  Somehow, 2025 has become “the year of the flood” and “the year of the fire” simultaneously.  2025 is also the year of the largest earthquake that we have witnessed this decade.  The magnitude 8.8 earthquake that recently shook the Pacific Ring of Fire was quickly followed by hundreds of other very large earthquakes.  Overall, there were 494 earthquakes of at least magnitude 5.0 within a recent 30 day period.  Many were hoping that things would settle down during the month of August, but over the past few days there have been many new disasters making headlines all over the globe.

For example, unprecedented rainfall caused enormous flash floods to rip through the Wisconsin state fair

Flash flooding slammed parts of Wisconsin on Saturday evening, forcing revelers at the state fair to flee and left residents trapped inside their homes.

Torrential rainfall battered the Badger State, with the National Weather Service (NWS) issuing a flash flooding warning for Milwaukee, West Allis and Wauwatosa.

Images emerged of flood waters rising over cars in the state, in one clip a man is seen stranded sitting on the hood of a car as fast flowing water passes him.

When I say “unprecedented rainfall”, I am not kidding.

Some parts of Milwaukee have actually had over 14 inches of rain so far, and more rain is coming

Milwaukee was hit with 5.74 inches of rain on Saturday, setting a new daily record for the area. The rain has only continued since, with some areas of Milwaukee seeing more than 14 inches of total rainfall as of Sunday morning, according to the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District.

The Central Plains and Midwest regions are set to see even more rain and flash floods, according to the National Weather Service. Severe thunderstorms, hail and isolated tornadoes could threaten the region through Sunday night.

This sort of thing is happening over and over again in 2025.

Why is that?

In the old days, “1,000 year storms” used to be quite rare.

But now they are occurring all the time.

Just look at what happened in Chicago in late July.  More than 5 inches of rain fell in just two hours

The torrential rainfall that pounded parts of Chicago on July 25 was so extreme, it typically occurs only once every 1,000 years, according to the National Weather Service.

Midday July 25, a corridor of extreme rainfall developed along a stalled atmospheric boundary on the south side of Chicago. As much as 5.61 inches of rain fell in Garfield Ridge in just two hours.

Extreme rain was also observed in Bedford Park near the border with Clearing, where an unofficial gauge measured 5.98 inches in three hours.

Conditions have been even worse on the other side of the planet.

The amount of rainfall that Yuzhong County, China has been getting has been absolutely insane.

At least 10 people have died after that county received “up to half of the county’s average annual rainfall” on August 7th and 8th…

Flash floods in Yuzhong County, Gansu Province, China, killed at least 10 people and left 33 missing after up to half of the county’s average annual rainfall fell between August 7 and 8, 2025. Chinese President Xi Jinping urged local authorities to carry out full-scale rescue operations.

Meanwhile, “the year of the fire” just continues to roll on.

On Friday, a brand new wildfire suddenly erupted in the Los Angeles area

A fierce wildfire north-west of Los Angeles prompted evacuation orders for thousands of residents on Friday, as extreme heat and dry conditions fuelled its rapid spread.

The blaze, named the Canyon Fire, ignited on Thursday afternoon along the border of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. By Friday evening, it had expanded from 30 acres to nearly 5,400.

Authorities believe that they are getting the Canyon Fire under control, but the Gifford Fire has now grown to 114,000 acres

Evacuation orders remain in effect in parts of Central California as the massive Gifford Fire crosses the 110,000 acre threshold.

The fire is the largest of the year in California with more than 114,000 acres scorched, according to fire officials. Nearly 3,000 firefighting personnel are attacking the blaze that’s burning primarily in rural areas of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. The fire is 21% contained as of Sunday morning.

Now that the Gifford Fire has surpassed 100,000 acres, it is considered to be a “megafire”.

Another “megafire” over in Arizona that has literally been raging since July 4th has been so intense that it is literally spawning pyrocumulus clouds

The massive wildfire burning near the Grand Canyon has been so intense at times that it created its own weather.

The Dragon Bravo Fire — which has scorched more than 130,000 acres in Arizona north of the Grand Canyon — has become so hot that it spurred pyrocumulus clouds, or “fire clouds” at points. The fire-driven clouds can form when the heat and smoke from a very large wildfire is released into the atmosphere, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Needless to say, the extremely hot and dry conditions in Arizona right now are perfect for this fire.

If you can believe it, the high temperature in Phoenix reached 118 degrees on August 7th.  That was the hottest August day “in over 120 years of record-keeping”

Another day, another heat record in Phoenix, as America’s hottest city sweltered through its warmest August day in over 120 years of record-keeping.

The temperature soared to 118 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 3:40 p.m. on Aug. 7. The previous record for the hottest August day was 117 degrees, reached most recently in 2023.

The daily record high of 112 degrees was broken before lunchtime as the heat continued to build through the afternoon.

At the same time, our planet just continues to get monkey-hammered by large earthquakes in diverse places.

On Sunday, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake caused buildings to collapse in a heavily populated area of Turkey…

Turkey has been rocked by a 6.1 magnitude earthquake tonight (Sunday) as rescuers and locals searching collapsed buildings for survivors. Images posted on social media show damaged buildings and scenes of destruction with people scouring the rubble for signs of anyone trapped.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), according to German Research Centre for Geosciences(GFZ)

Turkey’s disaster management agency AFAD said the quake occurred at around 7:53pm local time in the Balikesir province, near the country’s biggest city Istanbul.

The day before, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake shook the Kuril Islands…

A magnitude 6 earthquake struck the east of the Kuril Islands region of Russia on Saturday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), EMSC said.

And let us not forget the magnitude 5.9 earthquake that just rattled the coastline of Guatemala…

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Guatemala on Saturday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

There were no initial damage or injury reports immediately available.

The quake hit about 62 miles from Champerico, Guatemala, according to the USGS map. It was the latest earthquake to strike along the Motagua fault, which has seen a dozen similar seismic events over the last year.

Earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or greater used to get a lot of attention.

But now they just keep happening one after another.

On top of everything else, space rocks are entering our atmosphere at an alarming rate.

In fact, a giant fireball “lit up the skies over Australia” on Sunday…

A BLAZING fireball lit up the skies over Australia before a deafening bang rattled homes and sent social media into meltdown.

The suspected meteor was spotted just before 8pm on Sunday by Victoria residents who thought they saw a blinding flash followed by a ground-shaking boom.

One shocked witness wrote on social media: “Just saw something fall from the sky near Daylesford and a huge bang. Never felt anything like it.”

Another claimed: “Hubby saw a red light falling, followed by a loud bang! The house was shaking.”

Space rocks are becoming a growing problem in the U.S. too.

At the end of June, a meteorite actually “slammed into a home” in Georgia…

Shocking footage captured the moment a four-billion-year-old meteorite streaked across the skies of Georgia before it slammed into a home.

The meteorite punched a hole in a homeowner’s roof on June 26 as it hurtled toward the ground faster than the speed of sound, with newly released video showing the rock blazing through the atmosphere.

Scientists found that the rock had been burning through space for eons and was older than the Earth itself, dating back 4.56 billion years ago. That is roughly 20 million years older than the Earth.

But despite all of the disasters and all of the warning signs, most people still don’t seem to understand that we really have entered an extremely apocalyptic chapter in human history.

The storms, the floods, the fires and the earthquakes are all going to get worse.

If you are still waiting for everything to “go back to normal”, you can stop, because it simply is not going to happen.

Devastating US Report Lays Bare The Abuses Of ‘Settled’ Climate Science And Its Role In Net Zero | ZeroHedge

Authored by Chris Morrison via DailyScheptic.org,

Net Zero is dead in the United States and the last rites have been administered in the devastating official report from the Department of Energy. Released earlier this week, the report cancels the decades-long censorship imposed by so-called ‘settled’ climate science. It is compiled by five eminent scientists and is a systematic take-down of the claims, methodologies and motivations driving activist scientists, politicians and opinion formers promoting the hard-Left Net Zero fantasy. Despite its ground-breaking importance, to date it has been largely ignored by mainstream media including the BBC and Guardian.

Computer models are said to offer “little guidance” on how much of the climate responds to higher levels of carbon dioxide, most extreme weather events are not increasing, sea levels in North America show no increasing trend while weather attribution claims are challenged by natural climate variation along with an admission that they were originally designed with ‘lawfare’ in mind. For Anthony Watts, who has spent decades challenging the ‘settled’ politicised science, the most important consideration is that the report, “directly confronts the exaggerated and politicised rhetoric that has dominated headlines for decades”.

Watts, who runs the Watts Up With That? (WUWT?) site that was responsible for publicising the infamous Climategate scandal, argues that the new report is unique in that it has both official status and author independence. It is not a think tank paper or an article in a ‘dissenting’ journal.

“It’s rare to see scientists of this calibre (with backgrounds at NASA, IPCC and major universities) allowed to directly challenge prevailing policy narratives with government resources behind them”, he notes.

The work is a “comprehensive critique” quoting extensively from peer-reviewed literature with clear explanations of scientific uncertainties and climate model error.

For regular readers of WUWT? and other inquiring publications such as the Daily Sceptic, many of the issues discussed in the report will be familiar. In the last four years, your correspondent has written nearly 500 articles on climate science and Net Zero in an attempt to fill in the significant reporting gaps left by the narrative-driven mainstream media. Many of the papers quoted are familiar, not least in the section that deals with the sensational ‘greening’ of the planet caused by higher levels of CO2.

The report quotes from recent work that shows extensive plant and crop growth due to the atmospheric fertilisation that has enhanced photosynthesis and improved water use efficiency. Over the past 60+ years, the authors observe that there have been thousands of studies on the response of plants to rising CO2 levels, and the overwhelming theme is that they benefit from the extra gas. In 2016, Zhu et al detected greening over 25%–50% of the planet. But there is a near official news blackout on the subject. A few mentions can be found in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports but overall, observe the authors, “the Policymakers Summaries, Technical Summaries and [IPCC] Synthesis reports of AR5 and ASR6 do not discuss the topic”.

Needless to say there are few kind words for the climate projections based on the notorious IPCC emission scenario known as RCP8.5. Most academic climate impact studies in recent years are based on this extreme scenario, “that is now considered implausible”. Why is this castigation important – because RCP8.5 litters the scientific clickbait literature and has a key role in promoting the Net Zero plan. Most stories in mainstream media debunked in recent years by the Daily Sceptic and others – from the future collapsing Gulf Stream to the disappearing coral – are based on this trash “business-as-usual” computer model pathway.

Climate models are noted to be the primary tool used to project future climate changes in response to higher levels of anthropogenic greenhouse gases. It might be added that their outputs are the basis of 40 years of fear mongering designed to drive Net Zero and the destruction of the hydrocarbon industrial economy.

“Of great concern”, continue the authors, “is the fact that after several decades of the climate modelling enterprise involving approximately three dozen models operated by research centres around the world, the range of future warming they produce in response to a hypothetical doubling of CO2 extends over a factor of three”.

This range of disagreement among models has not decreased for decades, they add.

Those inclined to use less charitable language might comment that climate models are useless for the purpose of providing genuine science upon which reasonable public policy can be determined – and always have been.

Much of the recent climate fear mongering surrounds ‘extreme’ weather events and the suggestion that something Nature has always thrown at life on Earth can now be directly attributed to the actions of humans. The most prominent in this field is the Green Blob-funded World Weather Attribution (WWA) run out of Imperial College in London and headed by BBC favourite, Dr Friederike Otto. “WWA’s extensive promotion of non-peer-reviewed findings, its open admission to shaping analyses to serve litigation, and its methodological challenges have sparked controversy”, it is noted.

The biggest problem (apart from using computer models) is the lack of past data on extreme weather events. A few years of data allied to an unproven conviction that all current warming is caused by humans, cannot provide guidance for events that crop up as outliers.

If paleoclimate reconstruction are considered, “it becomes very difficult for an event to pass thresholds of what is expected from natural variability”, it is concluded.

The “Year Of The Flood” Continues – The U.S. Was Just Hit By 4 More Catastrophic Flooding Events In Just 48 Hours | The Economic Collapse

How much flooding is it going to take before people realize that something truly out of the ordinary is going on?  This month, we have been hammered by “1,000 year storms” and “1,000 year floods” over and over again.  In a previous article, I documented 13 catastrophic flooding events in just 13 days.  Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it.  In fact, we were just hit by 4 more catastrophic flooding events in just 48 hours.  In the entire history of our country, we have never seen anything like we have witnessed this month.  Every region of the U.S. has been repeatedly hit by major flooding, and there seems to be no end in sight.

On Friday, 6 inches of rain fell on one area of Chicago in less than two hours, and as a result there was tremendous flooding

Severe thunderstorms brought flash flooding to the Chicago metropolitan area on Friday afternoon, July 25, with some locations receiving over 150 mm (6 inches) of rainfall in under two hours.

Chicago Midway International Airport recorded 38 mm (1.5 inches) of rain in just 37 minutes. Within 90 minutes, the total had reached 70 mm (2.77 inches). A ground stop was issued at Midway, and both Midway and O’Hare International Airports experienced delays to inbound and outbound flights.

In Bridgeview, more than 150 mm (6 inches) of rain fell in less than two hours, overwhelming storm drains and flooding streets. Located in one of the lowest elevation zones in the Chicago area, Bridgeview is particularly vulnerable to flooding.

On Saturday, 10 inches of rain caused historic flooding in Lincoln County, Missouri

Lincoln County is in a state of emergency following major flash floods overnight in and around the city of Elsberry. The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency reports the northern part of Elsberry received over 10 inches of rain overnight.

The flooding in Lincoln County was so bad that rescuers in boats were going door to door to pull people out of their homes…

Severe flooding has hit Lincoln County, Missouri, particularly affecting the town of Elsberry, where emergency services have conducted multiple water rescues.

Quentin Laws, the Lincoln County Emergency Manager, stated, “We have multiple boat rescues going door to door.” He emphasized the importance of residents staying off the roads.

The flooding began around 11 p.m. Saturday night, with torrential rain causing flash floods in the area. Laws said the hardest hit area was between 2nd and 7th Street on the south side of Elsberry basically along Highway 79 and near the BNSF railroad. It’s a low lying area but doesn’t flood very often according to local officials.

Also on Saturday, violent flooding hit Ruidoso, New Mexico for the second time this month.  In this instance, the rapidly moving floodwaters actually picked up an entire mobile home and swept it away

Afternoon thunderstorms brought new flash floods to Ruidoso, New Mexico, where residents are still reeling from deadly floods at the beginning of July. One woman standing on her back porch recorded dramatic video of a mobile home being swept away in the muddy rapids.

New Mexico is not normally known for flooding.

But now everything is changing.

On top of everything else, several inches of rain within just a couple of hours caused widespread flash floods in three Ohio counties on Saturday night

Thunderstorms that swept through central Ohio on Saturday night prompted flash flood warnings in parts of Franklin, Pickaway, and Fairfield counties.

Parts of southeast Franklin and Fairfield counties reportedly experienced between two and four inches of rain within a few hours.

High water was reported at the Groveport golf course, with multiple cars trapped in the parking lot due to flood water.

When I was growing up, thunderstorms were considered to be just a nuisance.

But in our time, they have become so violent that they can often be life threatening.

Of course they wouldn’t be such a problem if we hadn’t built millions upon millions of homes in FEMA flood zones

In Louisiana, a nation-leading 23 percent of properties are located in a FEMA flood zone. In Florida, it’s about 17 percent. Arkansas, New Mexico, and Nebraska are perhaps less expected members of the top 10, as is New Jersey, which, with New York City, saw torrential rain and flooding that killed two people earlier this month.

Texas ranks seventh in the country, with about 800,000 properties, or roughly 6.5 percent of the state’s total, sitting in a flood zone.

What in the world happened to common sense?

If you currently own a home that is located in a FEMA flood zone, you might want to think about relocating.

Because our weather is only going to get wilder.

And it isn’t just happening in the United States.

Last week, flooding was a major problem all over China

Heavy rain around Beijing and across northern China killed two people and forced thousands to relocate as authorities warned of further widespread rain and the risk of disasters including landslides and flooding.

Two people were dead and two missing in Hebei province, state broadcaster CCTV reported on Sunday morning. Overnight rain dumped a record 145mm per hour on Fuping county in the industrial city of Baoding.

China’s water ministry issued targeted flood warnings to 11 provinces and regions, including Beijing and neighbouring Hebei, for floods from small and midsize rivers and mountain torrents.

On Friday, a year’s worth of rain fell on one part of China in just 24 hours

Record-breaking rainfall hit Yi County, Baoding City, northern China, on July 25, 2025, delivering nearly a year’s worth of precipitation in just 24 hours and forcing the evacuation of over 19 000.

According to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), 448.7 mm (17.6 inches) of rain fell in Yi County, western Baoding, in the 24-hour period from 06:00 local time (LT) on July 24 to 06:00 LT on July 25. It was the highest single day rainfall on record for the area.

Local reports indicate that nearly all of the rainfall occurred in the 12 hours leading to the morning of July 25. Meanwhile, the highest hourly rainfall intensity was recorded in Renyizhuang village, with 98.1 mm (3.8 inches).

I really hope that people out there are starting to get the picture.

We truly are living in apocalyptic times, and things are going to get a whole lot crazier during the months and years that are ahead of us.

You see, the truth is that all of the flooding that we are experiencing is just one element of “the perfect storm” that we have now entered.

Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and this period of history is about to get quite a bit more interesting.

Trump Administration Moves To Repeal Landmark Obama-Era Climate Finding | ZeroHedge

The Trump administration is taking steps to repeal a key climate policy from the Obama era, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin confirmed Wednesday, according to The Hill.

“EPA has sent to the Office of Management and Budget a proposed rule to repeal the 2009 endangerment finding from the Obama EPA,” Zeldin told Newsmax this week.

That 2009 determination, made under President Obama, found that greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane posed a threat to public health. It provided the legal foundation for regulating emissions from vehicles and other sources under the Clean Air Act.

“Through the endangerment finding, there has been into the trillions worth of regulations, including tailpipe emissions and including electric vehicle mandates,” Zeldin said.

While Biden-era vehicle emissions standards didn’t explicitly mandate electric cars, they were expected to significantly shift the market toward them. The repeal of the endangerment finding could undercut such climate rules entirely.

The move, first reported by The New York Times, signals a major escalation in Trump’s rollback of environmental regulations. Although his first term saw the weakening of emissions limits, the endangerment finding itself remained intact—until now.

Critics warn repealing it would gut the EPA’s authority to address climate change. “We are right back to full-throated climate denialism of the early 2000s,” said Zealan Hoover, a former senior EPA advisor under Biden. He called it “insane” to deny climate change’s impacts on public health.

“Climate change impacts public health because it changes the Earth’s climate patterns in ways that are beyond both what the human body and our built systems, evolved to have been designed to adapt [to]… that looks like extreme heat… sea level rise… more damaging storm surges and even flooding on non-storm days,” Hoover added.

The 2009 endangerment finding followed a 2007 Supreme Court ruling requiring the EPA to determine whether greenhouse gases threaten public health. That ruling authorized the agency to regulate them if they did.

The Hill writes that although the agency has floated the idea of repealing the finding before, this is the first concrete proposal. In March, the EPA said it would “reconsider” the finding without specifying a direction.

The current proposal is not yet final. Formal revocation could take months or years, and the agency appears to still be developing its case. A similar recent EPA move argued that power plants’ emissions should not be considered “significant” contributors to dangerous air pollution—signaling a broader strategy to eliminate climate-based regulations.

Zeldin, during his confirmation hearing, declined to say whether he believes the EPA has a duty to regulate climate change.

“The Year Of The Disaster” Has Resulted In Record High Losses For Global Insurance Companies | The Economic Collapse

You don’t have to convince insurance companies that 2025 has been “the year of the disaster”, because they have been getting pummeled by record high losses. As you will see below, there have been tens of thousands of wildfires in the U.S. so far this year, and we just keep getting hit by one “1,000 year storm” after another.  Nobody can deny that what we have been experiencing is not even close to normal.  Of course if someone actually did want to try to make the argument that “everything is fine”, that individual would have to explain why insurance companies are facing “record-high global insurance losses” from the first six months of this year…

Raging wildfires and severe storms contributed to record-high global insurance losses — totaling an estimated $84 billion — for the first six months of the year, according to a report from reinsurance broker Gallagher Re.

That total does not even include any damage from the series of historic floods that we have witnessed during the month of July.

As CNN has noted, in recent weeks we have seen “100-year to 1,000-year deluges happening nearly simultaneously in multiple states on multiple days”…

This summer, in particular, has been defined by a tragic surge in deadly flash floods across the United States, underscoring the escalating volatility of our warming world.

It’s no accident this is the summer of flooding, climate scientists say, with 100-year to 1,000-year deluges happening nearly simultaneously in multiple states on multiple days.

Large parts of the US have seen an unusually humid summer with record amounts of moisture in the air. When cold fronts and other weather systems come along, that moisture can get wrung out, squeezed like a water-laden sponge, yielding heavy and often highly localized downpours.

None of us have ever seen anything quite like this.

Since July 4th, the U.S. has been hammered by one historic flooding event after another

First and foremost, there was the devastating Texas flood that killed more than 130 people on the night of July 4. But flash flood events have been focused elsewhere as well. Three people were killed in a flash flood related to torrential rains falling on a wildfire burn scar in Ruidoso, New Mexico, on July 8.

Some major roads in Chicago were suddenly under water when a 1,000-year rainfall event struck in early July. In portions of North Carolina, the remnants of Tropical Storm Chantal led to deadly heavy rain and flooding the same weekend as the Texas tragedy. In New York City, water rushed into the subway tunnels when the city saw its second-heaviest rainfall total in one hour on July 14, with widespread flash flooding lasting into the 15th. And this past week, it was Kansas City’s turn to flood on July 17.

And that CNN article didn’t even mention the terrible flooding that occurred in Maryland on July 19th

More than 100 flood-related emergency calls were reported in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Saturday evening, July 19, 2025, after thunderstorms brought up to 127 mm (5 inches) of rain in less than two hours, prompting a Flash Flood Emergency from the National Weather Service.

Sadly, similar floods have been happening all over the world.

For example, on Monday more than 11 inches of rain fell on one section of eastern China in just 12 hours

Very heavy rainfall inundated parts of eastern China today, with Lianjiang County in Fuzhou, Fujian Province recording 296 mm (11.65 inches) of rain within just 12 hours.

The extreme rainfall event caused widespread flooding in residential and commercial zones, overwhelmed underground infrastructure, and triggered a landslide that blocked a tunnel in central Fuzhou.

For those that wish to dig even deeper, I recently posted an article in which I listed 13 catastrophic flooding events that occurred within a period of 13 days.

This has certainly been “the year of the flood”, but it has also been “the year of the fire”.

It all started with the record-setting fires in southern California in January.  Overall, so far this year firefighters have been called out to battle more than 40,000 wildfires in the United States…

Year to date, wildland firefighters have been called to nearly 41,000 blazes, by far the highest number in federal data going back to at least 2015.

How is it possible for us to have record-setting flooding and record-setting wildfires in the exact same year?

I really encourage you to think about that question.

Something very unusual is going on.

The wildfires that absolutely devastated southern California in January were the costliest in the entire history of our nation, and they hit U.S. insurance companies really hard

The January wildfires that raged across Southern California were among the costliest and most destructive in Los Angeles County’s history. It forced tens of thousands of Californians to decide whether they would rebuild their homes or relocate from a state increasingly facing the risk of wildfires.

In February, State Farm General, which is California’s largest insurance provider, said it received more than 8,700 claims and paid over $1 billion to customers in the wake of the wildfires. Citing a “dire” financial situation, the company requested an emergency interim rate hike averaging 22% for homeowners from state officials, putting more pressure on California homeowners.

I feel really bad for those homeowners.

Moving forward, insurance rates in California are going to be absolutely insane.

In the eastern half of the country, approximately 200 million people are about to experience a “triple-digit heat wave”

According to AccuWeather, more than 200 million people across 37 states will experience the triple-digit heat wave by Friday.

Officials have issued extreme heat alerts for the Mississippi Valley, while the entire Chicago area is under an extreme heat watch through Thursday.

This week, humidity from cornfields has intensified the already severe heat dome, extending from Texas to the Great Lakes.

Over 100 cities are expected to challenge overnight heat records, raising serious risks for heat stress, especially where there is no air conditioning.

It is going to be really, really hot.

If you live in the eastern half of the nation, I hope that you are prepared.

Meanwhile, our planet just won’t stop shaking.

Since July 8th, there have been approximately 1,200 earthquakes at Mt. Rainier…

As of Friday, researchers had analyzed 780 of about 1,200 tremors recorded at the 20 seismic stations on or near the volcano since July 8, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN).

There is a reason why I featured Mt. Rainier so prominently in my new book.

One of these days, it is going to blow.

When that day finally arrives, you won’t want to be anywhere around.

On the other side of the Pacific Ring of Fire, there have been 136 major aftershocks in the aftermath of a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that hit Kamchatka…

A powerful M7.4 earthquake occurred east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatky, Kamchatka, Russia, at 06:49 UTC on July 20, 2025.

According to data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the mainshock was preceded by six foreshocks, the strongest of which was an M6.6 at 06:28 UTC, approximately 20 minutes before the main event.

Since the sequence began, the USGS has registered a total of 136 earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 or greater in the region through 09:00 UTC today. Of these, 40 had magnitudes above 5.0, and five exceeded magnitude 6.

And let us not forget that one area of Japan has been getting hammered by thousands of earthquakes in recent weeks.

I have a feeling that all of this activity is leading up to something really big.

On top of everything else, a small asteroid that almost just hit us wasn’t even discovered by our scientists until it had already flown past Earth

A newly discovered asteroid designated 2025 OS flew past Earth at a distance of just 0.03 LD (0.00007 AU / 10 457 km / 6 498 miles) at 03:21 UTC on July 19, 2025.

This is 79th known asteroid to fly past Earth since the start of the year and the 6th so far this month.

2025 OS was first observed by ATLAS Chile, Rio Hurtado at 07:26 UTC — about 4 hours after it made its close approach.

The good news is that space rock was very small.

But I am entirely convinced that very large space rocks will be making a lot of headlines in the not too distant future.

Of course I am also entirely convinced that we are going to see a lot more floods, a lot more fires and a lot more seismic activity.

We really have entered a time of great planetary chaos, and what we have been through so far is just the beginning.

Flaws in 150 Years of Global Temperature Data Blow Holes in Global Warming Narrative | The Gateway Pundit

Photo: U.S. Forest Service firefighters battle a California wildfire. Text added by Antonio Graceffo. Original image in the public domain.

As justification for their climate crisis hysteria, liberals keep insisting that average global temperatures have risen, with the most commonly cited figure being a 1.1°C to 1.3°C (2.0°F to 2.3°F) increase since the pre-industrial era (1850–1900). The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), however, begins its “reliable” records in 1880 and reports an increase of about 1.1°C (2.0°F) since then. Even NOAA acknowledges the limitations of early data, stating, “Earth’s surface temperature has risen about 2 degrees Fahrenheit since the start of the NOAA record in 1850.”

But these claims rest on flawed foundations. Ninety-six percent of U.S. temperature stations fail to meet NOAA’s own siting standards and are often surrounded by development, resulting in inflated readings from the urban heat island effect. The transition from mercury thermometers to digital sensors between the 1980s and 2000s introduced discontinuities in the data, right during the period of supposed accelerated warming. Early measurements were geographically concentrated in Europe and North America, ignoring vast regions, especially the 71% of the planet covered by oceans.

Measurement errors of ±0.5°C often exceed the very climate signals being used to justify sweeping policy changes. Worse still, much of the raw data has been adjusted or “homogenized” using subjective assumptions that can introduce as much bias as the trends being studied. These problems, taken together, undermine the precision required to detect the small temperature changes that underpin today’s aggressive climate agenda.

Approximately 96 percent of temperature stations used to measure climate change fail to meet the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s own standards for “acceptable” and uncorrupted placement. This finding comes from Anthony Watts’ Surface Stations Project, documented in multiple studies including “Corrupted Climate Stations: The Official U.S. Surface Temperature Record Remains Fatally Flawed.”

Watts and his team of volunteers found stations “located next to the exhaust fans of air conditioning units, surrounded by asphalt parking lots and roads, on blistering-hot rooftops, and near sidewalks and buildings that absorb and radiate heat.” Even more troubling, data from properly sited stations show “a rate of warming in the United States reduced by almost half compared to all stations.” This suggests that a significant portion of reported warming may be artificial, created by poor measurement practices rather than actual climate change.

One of the most persistent flaws in the temperature record is the urban heat island effect. Many weather stations originally placed in rural areas during the 1800s and early 1900s are now surrounded by urban development. Cities generate heat through concrete absorption, reduced vegetation, and dense human activity, producing temperature readings that are consistently 2–5°F warmer than nearby rural areas. This is not speculation, it’s basic physics.

Urban surfaces retain heat differently than natural landscapes, and as development grew around these stations, they began measuring the heat of human expansion rather than natural climate conditions. The result is an artificial warming trend unrelated to global climate change.

Economist Ross McKitrick’s peer-reviewed research, published in journals like Climate Dynamics, exposes another troubling trend: socioeconomic signals in temperature data. If these measurements were purely reflecting climate, no such patterns should exist. Instead, McKitrick found correlations between economic growth and recorded warming, indicating that long-term temperature trends may be partially driven by the development occurring around measurement sites, not by the climate itself.

Perhaps the most damning analysis comes from Stanford researcher Patrick Frank, whose statistical analysis reveals that “the average annual systematic measurement uncertainty is ±0.5°C, which completely vitiates centennial climate warming at the 95% confidence interval.” In practical terms, this means the measurement errors are larger than the climate changes being measured. Frank concludes that “we cannot reject the hypothesis that the world’s temperature has not changed at all.”

The transition from analog mercury thermometers to digital electronic sensors is one of the most significant discontinuities in the 150-year global temperature record. Before digitalization, temperatures were measured using mercury-in-glass thermometers, read manually by observers at specific times each day. In contrast, modern digital systems use electronic sensors that continuously sample temperatures, have different thermal response characteristics, and rely on automated data processing. This means the measurements taken with digital systems are dramatically more accurate and more complete than those collected manually using mercury thermometers.

In the United States, digital sensors began replacing analog instruments in the 1980s, rendering direct comparisons with earlier U.S. records unreliable. Globally, digital systems weren’t widely adopted until the 1990s and 2000s, making comparisons between U.S. and international temperature data invalid prior to full global standardization.

Early temperature records suffered from severe geographic bias. Measurements were heavily concentrated in Europe and North America, with vast regions including most oceans, polar areas, Africa, and Asia having sparse or no data. Ocean temperatures, covering 71% of Earth’s surface, were particularly poorly measured before the 1950s. This creates a fundamental sampling problem. Scientists attempting to calculate “global” temperature averages were actually working with data from a small fraction of the planet, then extrapolating to represent the entire Earth. The assumption that well-documented European and North American weather patterns represent global conditions is scientifically questionable.

To address acknowledged measurement problems, scientists apply extensive “corrections” and adjustments to raw temperature data through a process called homogenization. However, these adjustments involve assumptions and subjective decisions that can introduce their own biases.

Different research groups using different adjustment methods arrive at different temperature trends from the same raw data. The magnitude of these adjustments is often comparable to the climate signals being studied. When the corrections applied to data are as large as the trends being measured, the measurements lose all meaning.

Regardless of accusations that “climate deniers” are rejecting science, the implications of these flaws are serious. Trillions of dollars in policy decisions are being based on temperature records in which measurement errors exceed the very climate trends they claim to show.

1900 Scientists Say ‘Climate Change Not Caused By CO2’ – The Real Environment Movement Was Hijacked | ZeroHedge

Authored by Mark Keenan via RealityBooks.com,

Millions of people worldwide are concerned about climate change and believe there is a climate emergency. For decades we have been told by the United Nations that Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from human activity are causing disastrous climate change. In 2018, a UN IPCC report even warned that ‘we have 12 years to save the Earth’, thus sending millions of people worldwide into a frenzy.

Thirty-five years ago, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the (World Meteorological Organization) WMO established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to provide scientific advice on the complex topic of climate change. The panel was asked to prepare, based on available scientific information, a report on all aspects relevant to climate change and its impacts and to formulate realistic response strategies. The first assessment report of the IPCC served as the basis for negotiating the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Governments worldwide have signed this convention, thereby, significantly impacting the lives of the people of the world.

However, many scientists dispute with the UN-promoted man-made climate change theory, and many people worldwide are confused by the subject, or are unaware of the full facts. Please allow me to provide some information you may not be aware of.

1. Very few people actually dig into the data, they simply accept the UN IPPC reports. Yet many highly respectable and distinguished scientists have done exactly that and found that the UN-promoted manmade climate change theory is seriously flawed. Are you aware that almost 2,000 of the world’s leading climate scientists and professionals in over 30 countries have signed a declaration that there is no climate emergency and have refuted the United Nations claims in relation to man-made climate change? See https://clintel.org/world-climate-declaration/

2. I have also signed this declaration. How can I make such an assertion? I have experience in the field as a former scientist at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, UK Government; and as former staff member at United Nations Environment, where I was responsible for servicing the Pollution Release and Transfer Register Protocol, a Multinational Environmental Agreement, involving the monitoring of pollutants to land, air, and water worldwide. Real pollution exists, but the problem is not CO2. Industrial globalisation has produced many substances that are registered as pollutants, including thousands of new man-made chemical compounds, toxins, nano-particles and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that are in violation of the scientific pre-cautionary principle.

A book I published also provides ample evidence and testimony from renowned scientists that there is no ‘CO2-induced’ Climate emergency. The book titled ‘Climate CO2 Hoax – How Bankers Hijacked the Environment Movement’ is available on Amazon here

Purchase here

3. Next, I will mention the Irish Climate Science Forum (ICSF) website, a valuable resource founded by Jim O’Brien. I am grateful to the ICSF for their excellent work in highlighting the scientific flaws in the UN climate narrative. The ICSF provides a comprehensive lecture series from renowned international scientists providing much evidence, analysis, and data that contradicts the UN assertions. The lectures are available at: https://www.icsf.ie/lecture-series

The ICSF scientific view coincides with those of the Climate Intelligence (CLINTEL) foundation that operates in the fields of climate change and climate policy. CLINTEL was founded in 2019 by emeritus professor of geophysics Guus Berkhout and science journalist Marcel Crok. Based on this common conviction, 20 Irish scientists and several ICSF members have co-signed the CLINTEL World Climate Declaration “There is No Climate Emergency” (see https://clintel.org/ireland/).

4. The reality is that the climate has always been changing, the climate changes naturally and slowly in its own cycle, and CO2 emissions (and methane from livestock, such as cows) are not dominant factors in climate change. In essence, therefore, the incessant UN, government, and corporate-media-produced climate hysteria in relation to CO2 emissions (and also methane from cows) has no scientific basis. It appears to me the UN narrative is yet another example of fake science being used to drive an ulterior agenda, see also the book Godless Fake Science.

In truth I am against ‘real’ pollution, and the reality is that the CO2 component is not a pollutant. Unfortunately, many misinformed environmentalists are driving around in electric cars, the battery production for which has caused vast amounts of ‘real’ pollution via the industrial mining and processing of rare earth metals, and the consequent pollution to land, air and water systems. See also this article. Note that the UN does not focus on the thousands of real pollutants that corporate industrial globalisation creates.

5. The conclusions of the Climate Intelligence foundation include the following

There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm.

Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming: The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing a period of warming.

Warming is far slower than predicted: The world has warmed significantly less than predicted by IPCC on the basis of modeled anthropogenic forcing. The gap between the real world and the modeled world tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.

Climate policy relies on inadequate models: Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as global policy tools. They blow up the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial.

CO2 is plant food, the basis of all life on Earth: CO2 is not a pollutant. It is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crops worldwide.

Global warming has not increased natural disasters: There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent.

It also appears to me that various catastrophes attributed to “CO2-induced climate change” are nothing of the sort. I note the following articles:

Carbon Is Not the Enemy. End Chemtrails!

Problem. Reaction. Solution. Wildfires About More than CO2 Induced Climate Change?

They’re burning from the inside out.” Robert Brame on the Unusual Properties of the Pacific Palisades Fires

6. In the above book I reference the relevant work and scientific presentations of some of the world’s leading climate scientists. Let us examine some of the work and testimonies of these scientists:

“deeply flawed logic, obscured by shrewd and unrelenting propaganda, actually enabled a coalition of powerful special interests to convince nearly everyone in the world that Co2 from human industry was a dangerous plant destroying toxin. It will be remembered as the greatest mass delusion in the history of the world – that Co2 the life of plants was considered for a time to be a deadly poison.” – Professor Richard Lindzen, Professor Emeritus of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT.

Dr Nils-Axel Mörner was a former Committee Chairman at the UN International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He was an expert involved in reviewing the first IPPC documents. He says the UN IPPC is misleading humanity about climate change.  He tried to warn that the IPPC were publishing lies and false information that would inevitably be discredited. In an interview, he stated: “This is the most dangerous and frightening part of it. How a lobbyist group, such as the IPPC, has been able to fool the whole world. These organised and deceitful forces are dangerous” and expressed shock “that the UN and governments would parade children around the place at UN Climate summits as propaganda props”. He states:

“solar activity is the dominant factor in climate and not Co2… something is basically sick in the blame Co2 hypothesis…  It was launched more than 100 years ago and almost immediately excellent physicists demonstrated that the hypothesis did not work.

I was the chairman of the only international committee on sea levels changes and as such a person I was elected to be the expert reviewer on the (UN IPPC) sea levels chapter. It was written by 38 persons and not a single one was a sea level specialist… I was shocked by the low quality it was like a student paper… I went through it and showed them that it was wrong and wrong and wrong…The scientific truth is on the side of the sceptics… I have thousands of high ranked scientists all over the world who agree that NO, CO2 is not the driving mechanism and that everything is exaggerated.

In the field of physics 80 to 90% of physicists know that the Co2 hypothesis is wrong… Of course, metrologists they believe in this because that is their own profession – they live on it.… I suspect that behind-the-scenes promoters… have an ulterior motive… It’s a wonderful way of controlling taxation controlling people” – Dr Nils-Axel Mörner, a former Committee Chairman at the UN IPPC, and former head of the Paleo Geo-physics and Geo-dynamics department in Stockholm

Another climate scientist with impeccable credentials that has broken rank is Dr Mototaka Nakamura. He asserts:  “Our models are mickey-mouse mockeries of the real world”. Dr Nakamura received a Doctorate of Science from MIT, and for nearly 25 years specialized in abnormal weather and climate change at prestigious institutions that included MIT, Georgia Institute of Technology, NASA, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, JAMSTEC and Duke University. Dr Nakamura explains why the data foundation underpinning global warming science is “untrustworthy” and cannot be relied on and that: “Global mean temperatures before 1980 are based on untrustworthy data”.

Professor John R. Christy, Director of Atmospheric and Earth Sciences, University of Alabama, has provided detailed analysis of climate data. I summarise the main points from his analysis below:

“The established global warming theory significantly misrepresents the impact of extra greenhouse gases; the weather that affects people the most is not becoming more extreme or more dangerous; temperatures were higher in the 1930s than today; between 1895 and 2015, 14 of the top 15 years with the highest heat records occurred before 1960; the temperatures we are experiencing now in 2021 were the same as 120 years ago…

the number of major tornadoes between 1954 and 1986 averaged 56/year, but between 1987 and 2020 the average was only 34/year; between 1895 and 2015 on average there has been no change in the number of very wet days per month, and no change in the number of very dry days per month, and the 20 driest months were before 1988. Between 1950 and 2019 the percentage of land area experiencing droughts has not increased globally – the trend is flat; the incidence of wildfires in North America between 1600 and 2000 has decreased substantially. Sea levels rose 12.5 cm per decade for 8,000 years and then it levelled off, now it rising only 2.5 cm per decade… worrying about 30 cm rise in sea level in a decade is ridiculous, in a hurricane the east coast of the U.S. gets a 20 foot rise in 6 hours, so a 30 cm rise will be easily handled!”

In a lecture titled The imaginary climate crisis – how can we change the message? Available on the Irish Climate Science Forum website, see Endnote [ii]. Richard L Lindzen, Professor Emeritus of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT summarises the battle against the climate hysteria as follows:

“in the long history of the earth there has been almost no correlation between climate and co2… the paleoclimate record shows unambiguously that Co2 is not a control knob… the narrative is absurd…  it gives governments the power to control the energy sector… for about 33 years, many of us have been battling against the climate hysteria… There were more important leading people who were objecting to it, they were unfortunately older and by now most of them dead…

Elites are always searching for ways to advertise their virtue and assert their authority. They believe they are entitled to view science as a source of authority rather than a process, and they try to appropriate science, suitably and incorrectly simplified, as the basis for their movement.”

“CO2…  it’s not a pollutant… it’s the product of all plant respiration, it is essential for plant life and photosynthesis…  if you ever wanted a leverage point to control everything from exhalation to driving, this would be a dream. So it has a kind of fundamental attractiveness to bureaucratic mentality.” – Prof. Richard Lindzen, Professor Emeritus of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT

Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, and President of Greenpeace in Canada for seven years, states:

“the whole climate crisis is not only fake news its fake science… of course climate change is real it’s been happening since the beginning of time, but it’s not dangerous and it’s not caused by people… climate change is a perfectly natural phenomenon and this modern warming period actually began about 300 years ago when the little ice age began to come to an end. There is nothing to be afraid of and all they are doing is instilling fear. Most of the scientists who are saying it’s a crisis are on perpetual government grants.

I was one of the (Greenpeace) founders… by the mid-80s… we were hijacked by the extreme left who basically took Greenpeace from a science-based organisation to an organisation based on sensationalism, misinformation and fear… you don’t have a plan to feed 8 billion people without fossils fuels or get the food into the cities…” – Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace

Professor William Happer, Princeton University, Former Director of Science at the US Department of Energy, is also a strong voice against the myth of man-made global warming. He states: “More CO2 benefits the Earth”.

7. The UN IPCC cherry picks data, uses flawed modelling and scenarios not remotely related to the real world

The UN climate crisis predictions are not based on physical evidence, rather they are based on complex computer modelling. One has to decode and analyse the modelling process to ascertain whether or not the models are valid and accurate or whether they have obvious flaws. The vast majority of scientists, economists, politicians and the general public have simply assumed that the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) models are accurate. Very few people have the time or skills to analyse these models, not to mention actually dispute them. Nonetheless, there were many senior and highly distinguished scientists that did exactly that – they claimed the UN narrative was incorrect and that there was no climate emergency. Their voices have been drowned out by a vast money-driven political and media establishment of the globalised ‘system’. The vitally important work of some of these renowned scientists is referenced in the above book.

“The computer models are making systematic dramatic errors… they are all parametrised… fudged…  the models really don’t work” – Patrick J. Michaels, Director, Cato Institute Center for the Study of Science

Dr Roger Pielke Jr, University of Colorado, has conducted a detailed scientific review and analysis of the UN IPCC AR6 report, see Endnote [iii].  He describes that in relation to climate modelling, the IPCC detached the models from socio-economic plausibility. In creating the models, instead of first completing integrative assessment models (IAMs), the IPCC skipped this essential step and jumped straight to radiative forcing scenarios and thus these scenarios are not based on competed IAMs. This led much of climate modelling down the wrong track. I quote points from Dr Pielke’s analysis as follows:

“The four IPCC scenarios came from a large family of models so instead of splitting modelling from socio-economic assumptions the models already had the assumptions faked and baked in to them, because they had to have those assumptions to produce the required radiative forcing (to produce a desired climate ‘crisis scenario’ outcome).

In another fateful decision the 4 representative concentration pathways (RCPs) came from 4 different IAMs, which was a huge mistake.  These models are completely unrelated to each other, but the impression has been given that they are of a common set, only differing in their radiative forcing, this was a huge mistake. Furthermore, no-one has responsibility for determining whether these scenarios are plausible. The climate community decided which scenario to prioritise and they chose the two most implausible scenarios! There are thousands of climate assumptions, but only 8 to 12 of them are available currently for climate research. The IPCC report even states that “no likelihood is attached to the scenarios in this report”. The likelihood is considered low they admit – This is an incredible admission by the IPCC.

These extreme unlikely scenarios dominate the literature and the IPCC report; therefore, the IPCC report is biased. Bottom line is that there is massive confusion. The IPCCs’ Richard Moss warned that RCP 8.5 was not to be used as a reference for the other RCPs, but 5,800 scientific papers worldwide misuse it like that… The whole process is seriously flawed… Nothing close to the real world is represented by the IPCC scenarios. Climate science has a huge problem! The IPCC currently uses RCP 8.5 as the ‘business as usual’ scenario, but RCP 8.5 is wild fantasy land and not remotely related to current reality at all… climate science has a scientific integrity crisis.” – Dr Roger Pielke Jr, University of Colorado

8. Financialization of the entire world economy is now based on a life-killing ‘net-zero’ greenhouse gas emissions strategy.

The UN Agenda 2030 plan and the Paris Agreement goal to reduce CO2 emissions by 7% per annum until 2030 is in effect a plan that would seemingly disable the current fossil-fuel-based mechanisms of the industrial economy for the food, energy and goods that enable human life and survival. Yet the narrative is quite hypocritical as the production of green energy infrastructure, and mining of rare earth metals for batteries for electric vehicles, is, and will most likely continue to be, very fossil-fuel intensive. Globalisation resulted in much of humanity becoming largely dependent on the trans-national industrial economy rather than on traditional more self-sufficient local/regional economies. Therefore, one has to ask where is this all going to lead if the plug is truly pulled on fossil fuels? Almost all of us are seemingly locked into, and have become dependent upon, the current economic paradigm of globalisation. A system rigged by debt-money created from nothing; created and controlled by private mega-banks and behind the scenes money-masters; and which can induce boom, bust, bailout scenarios that detrimentally effect the populace.

It should be noted that for decades, these same political, government, and corporate powers have rampantly promoted corporate economic globalization and fossil fuel dependency. Whilst, at the same time actively hindering the funding, creation, or government support of, more self-sufficient local communities/regions, and local co-operatives. Most of the world population thus became reliant on the globalized fossil-fuel driven system. I explore this topic in the books Demonic Economics and the Tricks of the Bankers and Transcending the Climate Change Deception Toward Real Sustainability

Zero carbon emissions, in essence, means pulling the plug on current systems of industrial agriculture, transport, goods production, electricity production, etc. This could have terrible consequences, particularly in locations and countries, that are currently unable to produce much food. In Ireland, the deluded greens in government had planned to close the coal-fired power station Moneypoint, in the name of reducing CO2 emissions. However, as the price of electricity increased and the dawn of so-called ‘green energy’ began to evaporate like the Irish morning mist, the government scrapped this plan in 2022, instead deciding to convert the station to an oil-burning facility. The Irish Times newspaper reported:

“With growing concerns over security of the energy supply in the State, the Government is not in a position to decommission Moneypoint as a fuel-burning station in the near future. It was confirmed by the Irish Government in 2022 that Moneypoint will convert to oil generation from 2023.”

The so-called ‘green economy’ (for it is not environmentally friendly in reality) and UN Agenda 2030 are resulting in increased energy poverty and decreased energy independence for the masses, while also developing trillions of dollars for the behind-the-scenes mega-banks. “Stop burning coal and wood logs that causes climate change don’t ya know” my deluded neighbour informed me last year, having threw out her wood burning stove and installed solar panels. Then a typical winter storm in Ireland last month left many thousands of people without electricity or heating for almost a week, shivering and wishing for a wood burning stove, while their solar panels produced little electricity in winter.

9. Central bankers are entirely funding / controlling the advancement of the worldwide climate change ‘project’

The decision to drastically reduce CO2, one of the most essential compounds to sustain all life, is no co-incidence. It should be noted that it is the world’s central bankers that are behind this decision and are entirely funding and controlling the advancement of the worldwide project of ‘combatting man-made climate-change’.

This project involves an attempt to de-carbonise the activities of the entire world population. In December 2015, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) created the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), which represents $118 trillion of assets globally. In essence this means that the financialization of the entire world economy is based on meeting nonsensical aims such as “net-zero greenhouse gas emissions”. The TCFD includes key people from the world’s mega-banks and asset management companies, including JP Morgan Chase; BlackRock; Barclays Bank; HSBC; China’s ICBC bank; Tata Steel, ENI oil, Dow Chemical, and more.

The fact that the world’s largest banks and asset management corporations, including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, the UN, the World Bank, the Bank of England and other central banks of the BIS, have all linked to push a vague, mathematically nonsensical ‘green’ economy, is no coincidence. There is another agenda at play that has nothing to do with environmentalism. When the world largest banks, corporations, and institutions, all align to push a climate change agenda that has zero evidence, one can see there is another major agenda going on behind the scenes. This agenda tries to convince the common people of the world to make huge sacrifices under the emotive guise of “saving our planet.”. While all the time the corporations and banks make vast profits, and political institutions implement worldwide technocratic control systems under the banner of combatting, and adapting to, so-called man-made climate change.

“The links between the world’s largest financial groups, central banks and global corporations to the current push for a radical climate strategy to abandon the fossil fuel economy in favor of a vague, unexplained Green economy, it seems, is less about genuine concern to make our planet a clean and healthy environment to live. Rather it is an agenda, intimately tied to the UN Agenda 2030 for “sustainable” economy, and to developing literally trillions of dollars in new wealth for the global banks and financial giants who constitute the real powers that be… “ – F. William Engdahl, strategic risk consultant and lecturer

Back in 2010, the head of Working Group 3 of the UN IPCC, Dr Otmar Edenhofer, told an interviewer, “…one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore.”

To better perceive what is ‘behind the curtain’ of the climate hoax and the UN/WEF agenda it also helps to examine what has happened in the decades beforehand. It is important to perceive the implications of the worldwide fractional-reserve debt-money banking scam and the subtle system of debt-slavery that has existed for decades.  If you look at the World Bank website you will see that virtually every nation on Earth is in vast debt. In debt to who you may ask? The answer is to privately owned mega-banks. See also the book Demonic Economics and the Tricks of the Bankers.

For many decades the so-called banking and corporate elites have had full control of the source of money creation and its allocation, via the debt-money system, and have therefore, by default, been able to fund, and increasingly control and manipulate the entire world spectrum of industry, media, government, education, ideological supremacy and war to their own design, agenda and benefit. Mayer Amschel Rothschild (banker) is widely reported to have said:

“Give me control of a nation’s money supply and I care not who makes its laws.”

10. Central bankers hijacked the real environmental movement in 1992 creating the fake climate change agenda

Psychopaths can utilise any ideology and, change it from within to something that may eventually be entirely different to its original purpose.  Meanwhile, the original followers and advocates continue to pursue what they believe is the original ideology, but gradually become mere pawns in the agenda of a self-serving elite. Unfortunately, over the past decades, this is exactly what has happened in the environmental movement.

Whistleblower George Hunt served as an official host at a key environmental meeting in Denver, Colorado in 1987, and states that David Rockefeller; Baron Edmund De Rothschild; US Secretary of State Baker; Maurice Strong, a UN official and an employee of the Rockefeller and Rothschild trusts; EPA administrator William Ruccleshaus; UN Secretary General in Geneva MacNeill, along with World Bank and IMF officials were at this meeting. Hunt was surprised to see all these rich elite bankers at the meeting and questioned what they were doing there at an environmental congress.

In a video recording available here Hunt later provided important evidence from the documents of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 3-14 June 1992. This conference was the well-known UN ’92 Earth Summit and was run by UNCED. According to Hunt, via the Earth summit, the UN was setting a net, an agenda, to place the power over the Earth and its peoples into their own hands. The world private banking cartel are the same ultra-rich banking families that had been instrumental in the setting up of the World Bank, the UN, and other international institutions, after WW2. Their political cohorts included Stalin (the leader of a brutal communist regime in the USSR that committed genocide of millions of people), UK Prime minister Churchill, and US President Roosevelt. Hunt refers to these banking families and their financial and international institutional networks as:

“The same world order that tricked third world countries to borrow funds and rack up enormous debts… and purposely creating war and debt to bring societies into their control. The world order crowd are not a nice group of people…”– George Hunt, Whistleblower speaking about the UN Earth summit of 1992

As a consequence of the UN Earth Summit, it appears the genuine environment movement that actually cared about real pollution to land, air and water, was politically hi-jacked by powerful political and financial interests with a different agenda. Maurice Strong, a UN official and an employee of the Rockefeller and Rothschild trusts, had convened the first UNCED congress in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972. Then, 20 years later he was the convenor and secretary general of UNCED. Hunt also provided video evidence from the Fourth UNCED World Congress meeting in 1987 of an international investment banker, stating that:

“I suggest therefore that this be sold not through a democratic process that would take too long and require far too much funds to educate the cannon-fodder, unfortunately, which populates the Earth. We have to take almost an elitist program…”

Thus, the decrees leading to the 1992 UN Earth summit were dictated without debate or opportunity for dissent and would supersede national laws. According to Hunt, the decrees were dictated into existence by the banker Edmund de Rothschild, who got these major decrees into the ’92 UN resolutions without debate or challenge. Hunt asserts that he was denied the opportunity to openly challenge Rothschild’s remarks by the meeting Chairman; and that the Rothschild bank of Geneva is the nucleus of the World Conservation bank and the wealthy elite are integrated into the bank via the Rothschilds private offering of shares.

11. Despite the deceptive and fake environmental facade, it has adopted, the vast institutional entity of the UN has fully endorsed environmentally destructive industrial globalisation for the past 70 years.

The UN climate change, sustainable development and green economy policies over the past 30 years are little more than worldwide marketing tricks that have tragically brainwashed two generations of young people who do not understand what the UN actually is, and who is it is really designed to serve.

This current globalised system involves the promotion of beliefs and fake science that claim to be unchallengeable truths, but are, in fact, ideologies in which evidence is manipulated, twisted, and distorted to prove the ‘governing idea’, and thus promote its worldwide dissemination. They start with the conclusion they want and then wrench and manipulate what scant evidence they can to fit that conclusion. Man-made climate change due to anthropogenic carbon emission is a major example of this.

Institutions, including the UN, the World Economic Forum (WEF), and the World Health Organisation (WHO), are privately-motivated unelected unaccountable organisations controlled by the source of debt-money creation, i.e., the world private-banking cartel; and are just clever marketing tools and political mechanisms for implementing and maintaining a corrupt worldwide system, under the clever guise of ‘fixing the problems of the world’.

These powerful special interests have been promoting certain ‘ideologies’ for decades to advance their corporate and political aims. The word “sustainable” was hijacked decades ago, and it is now deceptively used to advance the agendas of globalist mega-corporate interests who couldn’t care less about the environment. The aim is to catapult humanity into the arms of UN Agenda 2030 and the WEF ‘reset’ plan, which are clever marketing plans entirely designed by the so-called elite mega-corporate interests of the WEF Davos group.

12. Furthermore, the current green energy/renewable technologies being promoted by the UN and WEF, are not a viable solution for the world’s energy supply. Although these technologies have some limited viability in certain locations and scenarios, the fact remains that the Energy Returned on Energy Invested is much too low – in essence the entire process is mathematically flawed. This is evidenced by the work of scientists, including Professor David MacKay (1967 – 2016), former Regius Professor of Engineering at Cambridge University, and former Chief Scientific Advisor at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Summary

In summary, CO2 reduction is the main focus of the UN-promoted climate-change-hysteria that has been rampant among the world’s population. However, the proclaimed climate crisis exists in computer models only.  The cult of ‘manmade climate change’ is a media and UN politically-promoted ‘ideology’, that is used for a wider political and corporate agenda. Manmade climate change is not based in fact, and has hijacked real environmental concerns.

Due to incessant UN, government, and corporate-promoted climate change propaganda, many people are, thus, in a media-induced state of confusion, and, thus, blindly assume their pre-determined role in society under this ‘dictatorship of words’ without even being aware of it. The unpalatable reality is that people’s access to energy and resources is being intentionally reduced via bogus climate change policies, inflation, ongoing geo-political theatre and intentionally instigated war.

We cannot understand how to create a truly resilient society unless we correctly perceive the current society we live in and how it came to exist. Unless we recognize the untruths of the current paradigm, even if it is not ‘politically correct’ to do so, then we will not be able to make the correct adjustments to our communities and local/regional networks, or create a truly resilient thriving society. In this spirit of truth, new networks are emerging worldwide.

“Climate Anxiety”: The Manufactured Hysteria Spreading Across America’s Urban Centers and College Campuses | Natural News

A new term called “climate anxiety” has been invented, depicting the hysteria that now plagues a young generation, who have been subconsciously brainwashed to believe that the world is ending because of climate change. A Yale study surveyed individuals across the US.

Key points from the survey:

    • 63.3% of U.S. adults are worried about global warming, according to a Yale study.

    • Climate anxiety is concentrated in large metropolitan areas and coastal communities.

    • The study highlights the role of politics, education, and media in shaping climate attitudes.

    • Critics argue that climate change hysteria is being used to push a political agenda and control the narrative on energy resource allocation, government subsidies, and for enacting geoengineering projects.

Politicizing the weather has left a generation in fear and anxiety

In a nation where the political climate is as polarized as the weather, a recent Yale study has revealed a troubling trend: 63.3% of U.S. adults are “somewhat” or “very” worried about global warming. This anxiety is not evenly distributed; it is concentrated in large metropolitan areas and coastal communities, painting a stark picture of how attitudes toward climate change vary across the country. The study, based on statistical modeling using data from nationally representative Ipsos surveys, underscores the extent to which climate change has become a central issue in the lives of many Americans, particularly those living in urban and coastal regions.

The findings are hilariously concerning, but not surprising to those who have been following the relentless push for climate change propaganda in the media, education, and politics. Climate anxiety, as it is now called, has become a pervasive force, particularly in big U.S. metros and coastal communities. For instance, in Queens, New York, a staggering 79.8% of adults are worried about global warming. These areas are often more vulnerable to climate-driven threats like flooding, but the study also reveals that individual attitudes are influenced by a complex mix of factors, including politics, education, and media exposure.

The psychology of climate anxiety

Jennifer Marlon, executive director of the Yale Center for Geospatial Solutions and senior research scientist at the Yale School of the Environment, notes that while the map of climate concern may appear uniformly purple, “it’s crucial to remind people that the vast majority of the population exists in some of these green places.” This observation highlights the disconnect between the perceived reality of climate change and the actual lived experiences of many Americans.

The psychological impact of climate anxiety cannot be overstated. Young people, in particular, are being bombarded with apocalyptic narratives that suggest the world is on the brink of collapse. This has led to a generation of individuals who are not only anxious about their future but are also being mobilized into political action based on a sense of impending doom. The Yale study reveals that this anxiety is not just a product of local environmental risks but is heavily influenced by the media and political discourse.

The role of climate propaganda in media and education

The media has played a significant role in shaping public perception of climate change. Mainstream news outlets often present climate change as an existential threat, with headlines that are designed to elicit fear and urgency. This has created a feedback loop where the more people are exposed to these narratives, the more anxious they become, and the more they demand action from their government.

Education has also been a battleground for climate change propaganda. Schools across the country are incorporating climate change into their curricula, often with a one-sided perspective that fails to present a balanced view of the science. This has led to a generation of young people who are not only anxious but are also being primed to support policies that may have significant economic and social consequences.

The political agenda behind climate hysteria

Critics argue that the climate anxiety being experienced by many Americans is not a natural response to environmental changes but is, in fact, a calculated effort to push a political agenda. The push for big government solutions, such as higher taxes, unaffordable energy, and geoengineering projects, is often presented as the only way to combat climate change. However, these “solutions” are often more about control and power than they are about genuine environmental stewardship.

The Yale study, while providing valuable insights into the distribution of climate concern, also raises questions about the broader implications of this anxiety. If 63.3% of U.S. adults are worried about global warming, what does this mean for the future of American politics and society? Is this anxiety being used to justify policies that may do more harm than good?

As the debate over climate change continues to heat up, it is crucial for Americans to seek out alternative perspectives from cool and collected people, and to question the narratives being presented by the mainstream media and political establishment. The Yale study serves as a reminder that climate anxiety is not just a product of environmental factors but is also shaped by a complex interplay of politics, education, and media. The solution to this manufactured hysteria may not lie in more government intervention but in empowering individuals with accurate information and a balanced view of the science.

Al Gore’s Phony Climate Alarmism Exposed | The Gateway Pundit

Guest post by Hollywood film director Joel Gilbert

In my new film, The Climate According to AI Al GoreI expose the foundational lies of climate science of Al Gore, the godfather of the climate change movement.

Because of Gore, today, governments worldwide spend billions on carbon dioxide reduction policies.

It all began in 1992 when Gore published his climate emergency manifesto, Earth in the Balance, where he claimed that carbon dioxide was dooming the planet and called for environmental control to become “the central organizing principle for civilization.”

Then, in 2006, with the release of his film An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore’s climate change movement exploded.

Watch the trailer below:

Al Gore admitted he was no scientist. The source Gore cited for his climate alarmism was his Harvard professor, Roger Revelle. Gore cited an unnamed course he took from Revelle in the fall semester of 1969.

To get some answers, I went to the University of California San Diego where Roger Revelle’s lifelong papers are stored.

First, I discovered that the course Gore took from Revelle at Harvard was called “Human Populations”, and was all about world population growth. Gore scored a “C” in the class.

There was absolutely nothing about the climate or atmospheric science.

Next, I reviewed Revelle’s numerous articles and interviews over 40 years and discovered that Revelle did not agree with Gore’s theories about greenhouse gases, global warming or climate change.

Yet Al Gore credited Revelle for his extreme apocalyptic environmental positions, which Gore repeatedly called “a spiritual crisis”.

So where did Al Gore’s climate science really come from?

In early 1971, after serving only four months in Vietnam as a journalist, Gore applied to the Vanderbilt Divinity School, a draft dodgers’ haven, to cut short his time in service.

It was at Divinity School that Gore studied with radical environmental preachers, and where the reading list included a popular 1940s environmental cataclysm book called Our Plundered Planet which maintained humanity was destroying the planet.

My analysis of the book reveals that Gore borrowed heavily from Our Plundered Planet to write his 1992 manifesto, Earth in the Balance. However, in order to secularize his apocalyptic religious vision of a “climate emergency,” Gore credited his Harvard professor Roger Revelle.

Had Gore told the truth, namely that he just rewrote the apocalyptic ravings of the whacky Our Plundered Planet bookGore’s climate alarmism would have been dismissed as unacceptable and absurd.

Researching Al Gore’s greenhouse gas theory revealed what the media will never say: that carbon dioxide is not a pollutant or a bad gas. In fact, carbon dioxide is our friend.

Without it, life on Earth would not be possible. As humans, we release it every time we exhale.

Carbon dioxide is the food of nearly all plants on earth. We need more carbon dioxide, not less. More carbon dioxide would result in more crops, more food yield, and the greening of the deserts.

Earth’s atmosphere contains only 370 parts per million of carbon dioxide. That’s just .0037 percent. Not even one percent! Even if its concentration were tripled, carbon dioxide would still be miniscule.

It is the sun, volcanoes, the tilt of the earth’s axis, water vapor, sunspots, clouds, and ocean cycles, that affect world temperatures, not carbon dioxide.

I also learned that the only scientists who agree with climate change theories are those dependent on government funding. Universities and green organizations also reap financial benefits from climate panic. They are all in effect being paid by the government to agree.

Why don’t the simple facts about carbon dioxide take hold?

Unfortunately, today’s climate movement has taken on the characteristics of a religion. And, religions don’t worry too much about facts. It’s a belief system.

Mass movements can rise and spread, without belief in a god, but never without belief in a devil.

That’s why people who disagree with climate change are treated as heretics, they are evil, and deserve to be punished.

I concluded that “climate change” today is merely the latest scam with the same socialist solutions that Americans would never vote for: central planning and wealth redistribution.

It’s really all an assault on freedom and prosperity to try to stop the existence of the free market system. This is because Marxists are furious that free markets have achieved wealth for common workers and want to reverse this economic success to validate Marxism.

In my film, I demonstrate that Al Gore pushed his climate alarmism theories to try to garner political support. He felt the environmental issue was a popular one that crossed all class lines and could get him into the White House – and the rest is history.

‘Climate Change’: Grift of the Century? Part I | Gatestone Institute :: Articles

  • Perhaps the climate hoax is actually not about saving the environment? What is it, then?
  • Some environmental problems of pollution are clearly caused by man; the effect of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), as in certain hairsprays for instance, on the ozone layer over the Antarctica. CFCs thin, or make a “hole,” in the planet’s ozone layer that protects the people from harmful ultraviolet rays. There is also the very real man-made problem of insoluble trash in the oceans. Generally, however, the problems of pollution are separate from those of climate change. Whatever can reasonably be done to curb man-made pollution should, of course, be advanced, but sometimes climate change and pollution overlap – seen by many, apparently, as an invitation to muddle and conflate them.
  • Climate change is largely caused by solar flares. So far, at least, there is not a blessed thing anyone can do about them. Many industries offer grants for papers that support the efficacy of their products that relate to climate change. Solar flares, regrettably, do not offer grants.
  • [Former Special Presidential Envoy for Climate] Kerry and his family flew on 48 trips and emitted more than 300 metric tons of carbon dioxide in just the 18 months between January 2021 and July 2022. Private jets “are 10 times more carbon intensive than airliners on average, and 50 times more polluting than trains,” according to a 2021 report. Kerry justified his polluting by declaring, unfortunately without a trace of irony, that private jets were the “only choice for somebody like me.”
  • The answer was supplied as early as 2015 by Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change: “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
  • That would mean the destruction of capitalism and the world economy, however long that takes.
  • When the global elites arrived in Davos, Switzerland, in 2023 to discuss the urgent need to declare climate emergencies, they did so using more than 150 private jets.
  • Any journalists or commentators who dare to question or oppose the climate change orthodoxy are immediately shunned as “climate deniers” and met in the legacy media with an instant end to their careers.
  • “What is, in my view, even more dangerous, is the quasi-scientific form that their many times refuted forecasts have taken upon themselves.” — Former Czech President Vaclav Klaus, The New American, December 22, 2009.
  • Klaus stressed that environmentalism disguises itself as science. Under this disguise, it attempts to force its precepts on humanity. When it comes to global warming or climate change, that process is made easier: the topic is scientifically complex, which makes it hard for most people to refute the climate scammers.
  • “For the last 16 years, temperatures have been going down and the carbon dioxide has been going up and the crops have got greener and grow quicker. We’ve done plenty to smash up the planet, but there’s been no global warming caused by man…. I still say it’s poppycock! If you believe it, fine. But I don’t and there’s thousands like me.” — David Bellamy, English botanist and former BBC broadcaster, The Daily Mail, January 22, 2013.
  • It is no wonder that the climate change scam won the day. Few people have been willing to risk their livelihoods to fight against the manipulation.
  • Meanwhile, at the latest UN Climate Conference, COP29, which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan in November 2024, the agenda to destroy the world’s economy and the West by forcing wealth redistribution made new strides…. [Developing countries] apparently demanded $1.3 trillion annually. In the words of energy expert Alex Epstein: “The basic idea here is what they call ‘climate reparations,’ which is the idea that the US and others have ruined the world with fossil fuels, and so we have to pay a trillion dollars a year to make up for it, which, by the way, if the US paid that, that’s $7,700 per household per year.”
  • Notably, China retained its status as a “developing country” at the COP29, thereby exposing the enormous extent of the climate hoax. According to the International Energy Agency, “China’s total CO2 emissions exceeded those of the advanced economies combined in 2020, and in 2023 were 15% higher.” In addition, while China continues to build more coal-fired power plants than the rest of the entire world combined, the West continues on the path of deindustrialization in the name of the climate.
  • Thankfully, President Donald Trump, once again, has withdrawn the US from the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change. As the past has shown, however, such a withdrawal holds no future guarantees. Trump also withdrew the US from the Paris Agreement during his first term, but President Joe Biden then brought the US back the first chance he got. For this reason, it is crucial that the current US administration do all it can to publish the truth about the climate scam and work towards ending it across the board.

What Christians Need to Know About the Climate Justice Religion | G3 Ministries

climate justice or riot signage

The politics of our society flow from various streams, each shaping cultural values, policies, and beliefs of people. One of the most influential streams of influence has been the progressive critical social justice movement, fueled by Marxist ideologies. This movement functions as a wrecking ball with a singular agenda: divide the people and conquer. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the critical social justice movement known as “climate justice.”

According to a 2022 Pew Research survey, “Nine-in-ten atheists say the Earth is getting warmer mostly due to human activity, as do 78% of agnostics. Evangelical Protestants are the least likely to express this view (32%).”1Pew Research Survey, “Religious groups’ views on climate change”: https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2022/11/17/religious-groups-views-on-climate-change/ [accessed 12-2-24] What drives these statistical divisions is not objective truth but allegiance to an ideology—a radical worldview that thrives on polarizing societies. By attaching “justice” to issues such as the environment, proponents of critical social justice weaponize the concept to sow division and expand their influence.

The Emergence of “Climate Justice”

While the exact date of the first use of “climate justice” is difficult to pinpoint, the term gained significant traction around the year 2000 when the first “Climate Justice Summit” was held in The Hague, Netherlands, coinciding with the United Nations’ COP6 conference. The methodology of social justice activists is to append “justice” to virtually every domain they seek to control—whether societal, economic, academic, or, in this case, environmental.

Climate justice has become a powerful industry that’s both influential and lucrative. The NAACP claims that “Environmental and climate justice is a civil rights issue.”

Climate justice has become a powerful industry that’s both influential and lucrative. The NAACP claims that “Environmental and climate justice is a civil rights issue.” Similarly, the United Nations promotes the idea that “The impacts of climate change will not be borne equally or fairly, between rich and poor, women and men, and older and younger generations.”2 See “Climate Justice” on the United Nations’ website under “Sustainable Development Goals”: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/blog/2019/05/climate-justice/ [accessed 12-2-24] This language creates a sense of urgency and moral imperative, but it also entrenches division along lines of class, gender, and age.

A telling example comes from U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who warned, “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change,” linking this claim to a broader call for systemic change.3Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Speech at “MLK Now” 2019 Event, January 21, 2019. Similarly Sarah Kaplan in a Washington Post column titled “Climate Change is also a racial justice problem,” wrote, “You can’t build a just and equitable society on a planet that’s been destabilized by human activities. Nor can you stop the world from warming without the experience and the expertise of those most affected by it.”4Sarah Kaplan, “Climate Change is also a racial justice problem” an article in Washington Post, June 29, 2020. These perspectives, widely circulated in the media, political circles, and the world of academia, illustrate how climate justice rhetoric often substitutes alarmism for substantive debate and assigns blame along ideological lines.

When Environmentalism Becomes an Ideology

The climate justice movement is less about genuine environmental stewardship and more about advancing a broader ideological agenda. Progressive climate activism majors on protecting the planet while elevating creation above the Creator and attributing godlike agency to human actions. This anthropocentric worldview undermines biblical principles and leads to idolatry, with nature itself becoming an object of worship.

Scripture offers a radically different perspective. Genesis 1:1 declares, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth,” grounding all discussions of creation within the scope of God’s sovereignty. Humanity, created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), is tasked with stewarding the earth—not as autonomous rulers, but as accountable servants. This stewardship is beautifully expressed in Psalm 8, where the psalmist marvels at humanity’s dominion over creation as designed by God.

Biblical Stewardship vs. Climate Idolatry

The Bible calls believers to a balanced approach to the stewardship of our environment. The ultimate goal of environmental stewardship is not merely to save whales or improve the climate in urban landscapes dominated by asphalt. Colossians 1:16-17 reminds us that all things were created by and for Christ, underscoring that the ultimate purpose of creation is to glorify God.

Christians are called to care for the environment not out of fear or guilt, but as an act of glorifying the God of all creation. This stands in stark contrast to the climate justice movement, which often weaponizes fear to justify sweeping policy changes and government overreach. If we lose sight of this truth, we risk becoming enslaved to progressive ideologies that bind our conscience and obscure the ultimate purpose of creation—from the farthest galaxies to the bustling cities—which is to glorify the God of all creation.

In Genesis 8:22, the psalmist writes, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” This assurance of God’s providence should bring comfort to believers, freeing them from the anxiety that dominates secular environmentalism. While humanity’s actions can impact the environment, ultimate control belongs to God alone (Psalm 24:1).

The Cultural and Spiritual Implications

The progressive push for climate justice is not merely a political issue—it is a spiritual battle. By removing God from the equation, this movement elevates human autonomy and divides people along lines of class, ethnicity, and geography. For example, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2023 announcement of a $2 billion investment in environmental justice, funded by the Inflation Reduction Act, reveals how lucrative and expansive this industry has become. These initiatives often prioritize equity over stewardship, creating an economic and political structure that thrives on division.

As Darrell Harrison and Virgil Walker argue, such policies are rooted in a secular worldview that views the earth as an end in itself. This naturalistic perspective not only denies God’s sovereignty but also fosters a form of earth worship that is fundamentally idolatrous. Romans 1:25 warns of this tendency, describing those who “exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.”

A Call to Biblical Faithfulness

Christians must learn to reject the two extreme ditches of neglect and obsession on opposing sides of the road. The church’s aim must be centered on embracing a biblically grounded approach to environmental stewardship. This approach acknowledges the reality of sin’s effects on creation (Romans 8:20-22) while affirming the eschatological hope of restoration through Christ.

This book is more than a critique of climate justice; it is a formidable tool for believers to think biblically about their role as stewards of creation. The authors provide a roadmap for faithful living, equipping readers to discern between responsible stewardship and the progressive ideologies that are at the heart of the climate debate.

A Biblical Theology of Climate Change is a timely and essential work. Darrell Harrison and Virgil Walker have crafted a resource that is both rigorous and accessible, theological and practical, and extremely well researched. In a way that Darrell Harrison and Virgil Walker have proven through the years, they equip Christians to engage the climate debate with wisdom, courage, and a steadfast commitment to the sufficiency of Scripture.

For those who seek to navigate the complexities of our cultural moment without losing sight of God’s sovereignty, this book is an invaluable guide. It is my prayer that as you read this book you will learn to stand firm in your faith, to steward God’s creation faithfully, to refuse to be gripped by the fear of climate justice politics, and to glorify God in all things.

Of Gaslighting and Blame Shifting :: By Bill Wilson

The extreme left never misses a chance to use a crisis for political purposes. The tragic Los Angeles fires are just one example. Liberals are screaming global warming as the cause, even though suspects have been arrested for arson. News sources report the LA Police Department has launched an arson investigation and arrested an illegal alien homeless suspect near the Kenneth fire. Another suspect, 60-year-old Gloria Lynn Mandich, was taken into custody on suspicion of starting a fire and booked on a felony charge of arson. She is held on $20,000 bail, but People.com says she is not suspected of starting one of the major fires engulfing LA. Two suspects for arson, no admission of guilt.

The NY Post reports that the homeless man was riding around on a bicycle with a propane blowtorch, setting fire to old Christmas trees and garbage cans at about the same time the Kenneth fire started. Police, however, could not confirm the suspect was involved in arson but held him on another felony charge.

Meanwhile, the NY Times is guiding people toward global warming as the cause of the fire. The LA Times reported on January 10 that the fires “erupted following a stark shift from wet weather to extremely dry weather — a phenomenon scientists describe as “hydroclimate whiplash.” New research shows these abrupt wet-to-dry and dry-to-wet swings, which can worsen wildfires, flooding, and other hazards, are growing more frequent and intense because of human-caused climate change.”

The Columbia Climate School weighed in with a January 9 article: “In general, wildfires are something where we do see a clearer signal for the impacts of climate change. It’s pretty well established that we’re seeing increases in the frequency of wildfires, and that’s driven by an increase in droughts and a lot of other factors. There have been numerous studies in Europe, in the US, and elsewhere that show there’s that influence [from climate change], and we would expect that influence to grow.”

Of course, they do not mention how scientists at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU), the official source of global warming/climate change data, fabricated the data according to 1,079 emails and 72 documents from the CRU obtained in 2008 by the UK Telegraph. In the same year, 650 scientists refuted the concept of global warming.

This is no different than when there is a shooting, liberals cry out to ban guns—ignoring the choice and character of the one pulling the trigger. No different than limiting abortion will result in the deaths of many innocent women—ignoring that with abortion there is always the death of an innocent child. No different than demanding Palestinian rights when a terrorist kills people—ignoring the true motivation of Islam to exterminate all Jews and Christians. The gaslighting and blame-shifting is shameless.

Just as is written in 2 Timothy 3:13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

They are and they do. Use God-given; Holy Spirit-revealed common sense to discern the words and deeds of these people.

Climate Scam Unraveling: World Bank Really Doesn’t Know Where $41 Billion in Funding Goes | The Gateway Pundit

Ah, fact-checking. Where would we be without it?

Take, for instance, a recent story that made the rounds on social media. According to these reports, Oxfam — the British NGO — found that a huge chunk of the World Bank’s spending on climate change-related issues was “missing.”

Thank heavens for fact-checkers like the Australian Associated Press — a Poynter Institute-accredited fact-checker from down under — which set us all straight: “An Oxfam report did not find that $US41 billion has gone ‘missing’  from the World Bank’s climate change fund, contrary to claims online.”

What a relief. Instead, the AAP noted, the Oxfam report found that the World Bank just doesn’t really know where the money went.

See? Totally different!

The controversy centers around an Oct. 2024 report titled “Climate Finance Unchecked: How much does the World Bank know about the climate actions it claims?” Answer: not as much as it probably should.

The findings are front-loaded in a TL;DR on page two of the 33-page report, in case you’re not interested in reading the whole thing through: “Oxfam finds that for World Bank projects, many things can change during implementation. On average, actual expenditures on the Bank’s projects differ from budgeted amounts by 26–43% above or below the claimed climate finance. Across the entire climate finance portfolio, between 2017 and 2023, this difference amounts to US$24.28–US$41.32 billion,” the report states.

“No information is available about what new climate actions were supported and which planned actions were cut. Now that the Bank has touted its focus on understanding and reporting on the impacts of its climate finance, it is critical to stress that without a full understanding of how much of what the Bank claims as climate finance at the project approval stage becomes actual expenditure, it is impossible to track and measure the impacts of the Bank’s climate co-benefits in practice.”

The Oxfam report stated “generous accounting practices by different countries and providers, combined with the lack of transparency and consistency in how climate finance is defined, calculated, and reported, is at the root of the crisis of trust in climate finance.”

As the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists pointed out in a November summation of Oxfam’s findings, this is sort of a big deal when you consider how the World Bank is in the process, more or less, of turning itself into the Global Climate Change Savings & Loan.

“In recent years, the World Bank has touted its spending on climate finance and its plans to dramatically expand it,” the ICIJ noted.

“World Bank President Ajay Banga said in December that the bank had met its goal to devote 35% of its financing to climate three years ahead of schedule and set a new target of 45% by 2025. That goal is well within reach; the bank announced in September that its climate finance investments reached 44% of total financing, or $42.6 billion, over the past fiscal year. ‘We’re putting our ambition in overdrive,’ Banga said.”

The report underscored that there’s a huge difference between the World Bank’s ambition and the world bank’s accounting processes, however, and one that needs to be addressed. But both Oxfam and the AAP fact-checking team wanted to you to be sure that the NGO “was not alleging any mismanagement of funds due to corruption or waste; it was concerned about the World Bank’s reporting process for deviations in planned and actual climate finance.”

“This distinction is significant,” a spokesperson for Oxfam said.

“Oxfam’s report doesn’t suggest funds are missing but points to a transparency issue that makes it difficult to know precisely what the Bank is delivering in terms of climate finance: where it’s going and what it’s supporting.”

Yes, well, excuse us for sounding like negative Nancys, but this sounds a bit like one of those cheerful bosses who describes a major organizational setback as an “opportunity for breakthrough improvement.” Indeed it might b, on some level, but a Panglossian refusal to acknowledge the bedrock realities of the situation that accompanies it becomes downright hilarious — unless you’re on the hook for it, of course.

And if you’re an American, you are! According to a Congressional Research Service report, the U.S. contributes over 16 percent of the World Bank’s total capital through its financial commitments, and has significant voting power on all of the World Bank organizations that provide climate change funding.

Yes, this may be a drop in the bucket in terms of your tax dollars, and yes, there are bigger climate hustles bureaucrats have spent your cash on (hey, whatever happened to that promising green energy start-up Solyndra?), but the difference between “a transparency issue that makes it difficult to know precisely what the Bank is delivering in terms of climate finance” and “missing” sounds an awful lot like the difference between “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky” and “Indeed, I did have a relationship with Miss Lewinsky that was not appropriate; in fact, it was wrong.”

Of course, when it comes to virtually any other institutional spending issue, using the word “missing” to refer to something being lost or something being unaccounted for would be a distinction without a difference. Here, it’s unspoken why it’s problematic and why fact-checkers are taking issue with it: When it comes to spending on issues related to climate change and green energy, there are Good Guys and there are Bad Guys.

The Good Guys say this is merely an accounting quibble, the Bad Guys say that this means at least $24 billion and up to $41 billion of World Bank funds are somewhere in the ether of global finance thanks to variances in accounting practices that charitably be described as curious.

Thus, it’s not, “contrary to claims online,” missing. It’s just not accounted for! At this point, I’m not sure which is the bigger racket: dubious national or supranational funding of projects that fall loosely under the aegis of purported climate change mitigation, or fact-checking. At least this can be said about fact-checking: It costs a hell of a lot less.
