Twelve Thousand Hours of Indoctrination: How K-12 Education Went Wrong | The Gateway Pundit

Two young scientists in lab coats conduct experiments with a microscope and colorful liquids against a vibrant rainbow background, symbolizing inclusivity and creativity in education.
The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are considered a more inclusive alternative to the classical scientific method, which is being removed from curricula.

“What we’ve effectively done is handed over a curriculum to the people on the left here, and they have just indoctrinated. Twelve thousand hours hours is about the amount of time a kid spends in school,” John Droz told The Gateway Pundit in an interview.

Droz is a physicist who retired from regular employment at age 34 and has been involved in education for more than 20 years. He applies his skills of scientific inquiry to analyze how the K-12 education system has gone wrong, both in failing students academically and in indoctrinating them into Marxism. In 2012, he spoke on the subject before the U.S. House of Representatives Science and Technology Committee.

“They’re indoctrinated with left-leaning ideology, whether it’s in history, whether it’s in mathematics, whether it’s in English, but particularly in science,” he said, explaining that he believes the ideology has come to dominate not only the social sciences but even the hard sciences and mathematics. He described the current curriculum as teaching liberal ideology that is anti-American and anti-science.

The greatest defense against any ideology is reason, but Droz argues that children are no longer being taught to reason. In fact, the traditional “Scientific Method” (the linear five- to seven-step process often found on classroom posters) is being replaced in many states by a framework called the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Proponents of the NGSS argue that the new “Practices” approach is more inclusive. They believe that by focusing on how students’ own observations and cultural backgrounds relate to science, rather than memorizing a Western-standardized five-step list, they can better engage students from diverse backgrounds.

There is a substantial body of literature coming out of Harvard and other top universities on the concept of scientific racism, which NGSS is meant to counter. Proponents argue that the classical five-step scientific method acts as a “filter.” They claim it prioritizes a specific Western, linear way of documenting results and often ignores Indigenous knowledge or communal observation styles.

They further argue that because it is rooted in a historical tradition associated with the Enlightenment, it can make students from other cultures feel like “guests” in a house they did not build. Some also describe the traditional “Scientific Method” as a “dumbed-down” version of reality.

The formal scientific method dates back approximately 400 to 500 years and has been used in the construction and development of major inventions and innovations, from the steam engine to the moon landing to toaster pastries and Starlink. If it were merely a “dumbed-down” version of something superior, it is reasonable to argue that this would have been demonstrated by now.

Droz refers to NGSS as “Not Good Science.” In reviewing available materials, I was unable to identify a specific invention or innovation developed using NGSS as a methodological framework. No satellite has ever been launched based on inclusion.

He explained that around 2010 a group drafted two documents: the NGSS, which outlined science standards for each grade level, and a 400-page companion document called the Framework, which provided explanations. The Framework introduced “Three-Dimensional Learning” and emphasized a shift toward “Practices.” Inclusion and diversity are discussed in Chapter 11.

Teams consisting of a scientist from the National Academy of Sciences, a representative from an organization called Achieve, and a teacher affiliated with the National Science Teachers Association presented these standards to state boards of education. As of today, 48 states and the District of Columbia have adopted standards based on A Framework for K-12 Science Education (National Research Council 2012).

A 2013 report by the Fordham Institute evaluated the science standards of all 50 states and assigned grades. Fordham rated the NGSS a C and ranked it 23rd among the 50 standards evaluated. Among the criticisms voiced by the Fordham Institute was: “The NGSS’s focus on ‘practices,’ on what students do, too often comes at the expense of what students know… The standards frequently fail to integrate the mathematics that is essential to any serious study of physics and chemistry.” Despite this evaluation, 20 states had standards rated higher than the NGSS but adopted the NGSS anyway.

In conclusion, Droz said that the problems in K-12 education will not be fixed unless someone addresses them. “The universities get most of the attention, and I think a lot of people are overlooking the fact that the schools are the real problem.”

Children are in school all day, five days a week, nine months per year, for twelve years. “We have approximately 4 million graduates a year,” Droz said, arguing that what the left has arranged is that “these people who are graduating are, number one, instilled with a whole extensive amount of Marxist ideology, and number two, they’ve been trained to be non-thinkers, so we have unthinking progressives.”

He said that shortly after graduation, they become voters. “If you just look at the statistics and say, let’s say if we’re adding 3 million Marxist, non-thinking Marxist voters to the voting rolls every year, what are the implications of that to America?”

What In The World Is Going On In Our Public Schools? | End Of The American Dream

The quality of the education that our children are receiving in America’s public schools just continues to go down. At one time, the concern was that not enough students were taking advanced courses. But now we have reached a point where a very large portion of our high school graduates cannot read effectively, cannot write effectively and cannot do basic math effectively. If you think that I am exaggerating, please keep reading. We have never faced an education crisis of this magnitude in the entire history of our nation, and that has enormous implications for our future.

Dr. Kent Ingle is the president of Southeastern University, and he recently authored an excellent piece in which he warned that reading levels among incoming college students are so bad that many are struggling “to understand basic text on a page”

A stunning report revealed that many university professors now find themselves teaching students who struggle to read, not just to interpret literature or write essays, but to understand basic text on a page. According to Fortune, a growing number of Gen Z students enter college unable to “read effectively,” forcing professors to break down even simple passages line by line.

That trend should alarm every parent, employer and policymaker in this country. It is not just an academic concern. It is a cultural crisis.

This is not some random guy that is making these claims.

This is the president of a major university.

I don’t understand how it is possible for millions upon millions of students to enter college without even being able to read on a basic level, but it is happening.

Sadly, the same thing is true for math skills.

Large numbers of students that are entering our colleges must take remedial math courses that teach concepts that should have been taught in elementary and middle school

Five years ago, about 30 incoming freshmen at UC San Diego arrived with math skills below high-school level. Now, according to a recent report from UC San Diego faculty and administrators, that number is more than 900—and most of those students don’t fully meet middle-school math standards. Many students struggle with fractions and simple algebra problems. Last year, the university, which admits fewer than 30 percent of undergraduate applicants, launched a remedial-math course that focuses entirely on concepts taught in elementary and middle school. (According to the report, more than 60 percent of students who took the previous version of the course couldn’t divide a fraction by two.) One of the course’s tutors noted that students faced more issues with “logical thinking” than with math facts per se. They didn’t know how to begin solving word problems.

The university’s problems are extreme, but they are not unique. Over the past five years, all of the other University of California campuses, including UC Berkeley and UCLA, have seen the number of first-years who are unprepared for precalculus double or triple. George Mason University, in Virginia, revamped its remedial-math summer program in 2023 after students began arriving at their calculus course unable to do algebra, the math-department chair, Maria Emelianenko, told me.

If students in our public schools are not being taught basic reading skills and basic math skills, what are they being taught?

That is a very good question.

In many states, there always seems to be plenty of classroom time to discuss gender, the latest politically-correct pronouns and social justice issues.

But that isn’t why we send our kids to school.

We send them to school so that they will learn the basic skills that will enable them to successfully function as adults.

And in so many cases, that just isn’t happening.

We have millions upon millions of high school kids that are unable to read a contract or multiply three digit numbers without a calculator, but virtually all of them know about the “6-7” meme

“6-7,” pronounced “six-seveeeeen,” is haunting school halls across the country (including South Park Elementary), making it the Gen Alpha nonsense phrase of the moment. Kids are shouting it in classrooms when a teacher turns to page 67, when lunchtime is 6 to 7 minutes away or for no reason at all. It’s become so ubiquitous that Dictionary.com named it the word of the year.

“It’s like a plague — a virus that has taken over these kids’ minds,” said Gabe Dannenbring, a seventh-grade science teacher in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. “You can’t say any iteration of the numbers 6 or 7 without having at least 15 kids yell, ‘6-7!’”

It’s a joke without a punchline (or a setup, for that matter). 6-7 means nothing, but using it can make a student feel like a member of a bigger, cooler group of their peers.

We have failed our young people.

It takes an extraordinary amount of self-discipline to be successful in our society today, but millions upon millions of them are being allowed to slide through grade level after grade level without being forced to put in the hard work that will enable them to develop that self-discipline.

When I was growing up, I had a number of teachers that made sure that I worked hard.

But these days, many school officials are far more interested in preying on their students.

In Indiana, a high school secretary has just been charged with having sex with two different students

An Indiana high school secretary has been accused of having sex with two students after her husband caught her with one of them and allegedly ‘battered’ her.

Alicia Hughes was arrested Saturday after an investigation unveiled her alleged sexual relationship with two teenagers.

The 31-year-old was caught by her husband while she was with an 18-year-old Randolph Eastern School Corporation student on Friday night, Union City police said.

And in Florida, a band teacher has been arrested for having sex with “multiple students”

A North Miami Beach band teacher has been arrested after he was accused of inappropriate relationships with multiple students.

Jose Francisco Montes-Guedez, 40, was arrested Friday on two counts of offenses against students by authority figures, two counts of battery – touch or strike, and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child, Miami-Dade jail records showed.

According to an arrest report, Montes is a band teacher at Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High Biscayne Bay School in North Miami Beach.

There are stories like this in the news every single day.

But because none of the teachers is named “Epstein”, those stories don’t get much notice.

Our system of public education needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

If we don’t prepare our young people for the real world, they will fail.

At this stage, many of our young people are so unprepared for the real world that they actually need their parents to go to job interviews with them

Over 50% of college-age job seekers had their parents sit with them at an in-person interview, a January survey by Resume Templates found. What’s more, over 35% of surveyed individuals reported parents either writing a cover letter or performing a test assignment for them.

Julia Toothacre, a career coach and chief career strategist at the survey group, said she had never seen parents this involved in their child’s job searches in the past.

“When I was doing career development at the college level, we would see parents come in to talk about majors and sometimes career choices, but they weren’t sitting in on interviews or communicating with managers,” Toothacre told The College Fix in a recent interview via email.

A couple of decades ago, it would have been unthinkable for a parent to accompany a college graduate to a job interview.

Now it happens all the time.

But at least our young people are happy, right?

Well, actually that is not the case at all.

In fact, suicide rates among Gen Z adults have been absolutely soaring

Suicide rates among Gen Z adults have unnaturally increased in the U.S. over the past ten years according to new figures.

Axios Notes that there has been a 16.4 percent increase in suicides among the demographic between 2014-2024.

The locations where the rise is most prominent, the report notes are in the South and the Midwest, with black and Hispanic men, accounting for a huge 85 percent of the increase.

A Stateline analysis of data also shows that Georgia experienced the largest increase in suicide rates over the past decade, among 18 to 27-year-olds, with the state’s suicide rate in the age group increasing by a massive 64.9 percent.

Reading those statistics should break your heart.

The system has failed an entire generation of Americans.

If we don’t get it fixed, things will only get worse.

How Liberals Broke Education | The Gateway Pundit

Over the past six years, students in much of the United States, particularly in blue cities and states, have experienced significant educational interruptions. First, the COVID lockdowns kept kids out of school entirely or in part for as many as four years in some states. As a result, by the end of the 2024–2025 school year, students were still half a year behind.

This disruption was compounded in states that prioritize DEI, ethnic and gender studies, and other social-engineering classes, which consume valuable class time that would otherwise be spent on math and science. Currently, some schools are dismissing students so they can protest against ICE rather than complete their lessons. Protests and walkouts, coupled with teacher strikes and activism, are forms of disruption that negatively impact educational outcomes, particularly skill development.

Certain school subjects, such as mathematics, music, and foreign languages, are skill-based. If a student does not practice, the skills cannot be mastered. These skills must also be learned chronologically. If you have not completed chapter seven of the math book, you cannot do chapter eight because the knowledge builds as you progress.

Once a student has missed a significant percentage of the material, there is no real way to catch up without repeating the grade. However, schools generally lack any structured means of making up the lost learning.

To further compound the issue, No Child Left Behind and similar “everyone gets a pass” programs advance students to the next grade level even when they do not possess the required skills. The simple logic these policies ignore is that a student who did not pass seventh grade cannot pass eighth grade, and by ninth grade will be so far behind that they stop trying.

Allen Epstein, author of The Handbook to Educational Reality Manuscript, is a veteran teacher and university professor in the California education system. In an interview with the Gateway Pundit, he explained that “lost instructional time breaks continuity, and mastery collapses. And schools almost never repair it once students are promoted by age rather than completion.”

The liberalization of education is holding students back. One of the most common examples cited by parents is the rejection of the idea that there is one right way to solve a problem. In some classrooms, teachers give partial or even full credit for a creative but mathematically incorrect explanation. The emphasis is placed on a student’s “mathematical identity” or “sense-making” rather than accuracy. Critics argue this produces math illiteracy. When students are taught that their process matters more than the correct answer, they struggle in fields such as engineering or medicine, where a single decimal error can have serious consequences.

Another shift has been the de-emphasis on automaticity, including memorization of basic math facts. Timed tests and rote learning, such as memorizing multiplication tables, are sometimes described as stressful or harmful to a child’s confidence. Instead, students are encouraged to use strategies such as drawing dots or relying on calculators rather than memorizing that 7 × 8 = 56. The result is a cognitive load problem. By the time students reach high school algebra without having automated basic arithmetic, their brains are still occupied with simple calculations, leaving less capacity to understand abstract variables. This contributes to higher failure rates in advanced math.

Grading practices have also changed in the name of equity. Some schools use group grades, avoid penalizing late work, or adopt “no-zero” policies in which the lowest possible grade is 50 percent even if no work is submitted. Critics argue this weakens accountability and fosters learned helplessness. High-achieving students may feel their effort is devalued, while struggling students are advanced without mastering the material.

In California, a related push allowed “data science” courses to substitute for Algebra II, framed as more relevant than abstract algebra. However, universities, including the University of California system in 2024, began rejecting such substitutions because they did not provide the functions and rigor required for calculus. Students who take the softer path often find themselves blocked from STEM majors later because they lack the necessary mathematical foundation.

In some school districts, students are being taught that math is racist.

Educators attempt to approach science and STEM subjects in the same way as the social sciences, allowing multiple answers, claiming there is no wrong answer, or suggesting it is racist to say that two plus two is always four. These attitudes and the corresponding modified lesson plans are further disruptions.

“There’s a curriculum that needs to be covered,” said Epstein, explaining why these modifications are disruptive. He added that the curriculum does not get taught when “you start sliding in other things. It encourages these breaks, and learning continuity needs to flow without interruption.”

Epstein also described how he dealt with tardy students. He said he used to lock the doors because certain classes would intentionally arrive late, sometimes making a dramatic entrance. He recalled arguments with the administration, which questioned whether locking the door was discriminatory.

He explained that some students were seated in the front row with their books open, ready to begin exactly when class was scheduled to start. When others came in late, throwing their books down and interrupting the lesson, it broke the learning flow. “When other people come in and throw books down or whatever, it breaks the learning,” he said, adding that he would have to start over because the momentum had been lost.

It seems that in the United States, the momentum in education has been lost. Epstein is hopeful that his book outlines a means of recovering it. But whether through his work or the work of other dedicated teachers and parents, the political will must be there, or there is no path toward recovery.

GREGORY LYAKHOV: Public Schools Must Stop Stifling Students’ Political Views | The Gateway Pundit

In school districts across the country, controversy has become something to manage rather than teach. Student journalists describe prior review policies that allow administrators to pull articles before publication.

Classroom discussions on immigration enforcement, abortion law, policing policy, or foreign affairs are redirected, softened, or shut down entirely. Administrators rarely deny the pattern.

The reasoning is predictable: controversy generates parent complaints, school board conflict, and reputational risk. In a politically polarized environment, stability becomes the primary goal.

K–12 schools, however, cannot function as public relations entities whose main objective is avoiding phone calls from parents. For too long, education has revolved around the vested interests of adults—administrators protecting district image, teachers protecting contracts, parents protecting political comfort—rather than the intellectual development of students. That structure must change.

It is easy to blame teachers for indoctrinating students, a charge often made by conservatives against progressive educators. There are certainly isolated cases in which political bias shapes instruction.

I have not experienced systemic indoctrination in my own education, and my school district has treated me well. I have had strong teachers, serious coursework, and an environment that allowed me to grow. I am grateful for that.

At the same time, gratitude does not absolve one of the obligation to criticize structural problems when they exist.

The deeper issue is not that politics is being aggressively taught, but that because parents are intensely reactive to politics in schools, politics is often not taught at all.

I live in a predominantly Jewish, largely pro-Israel community. During the Israel-Gaza war, a student newspaper published an article discussing the devastation in Gaza. The image accompanying the piece sparked backlash. Parents objected to the photo selection, framing it as biased. The controversy escalated quickly.

Instead of using the moment to teach students how media framing works, how images shape perception, and how to analyze war reporting critically, the message that followed was clear: certain topics are too sensitive.

Politics shifted from debate to avoidance.

Later, when I attempted to publish a pro-ICE article in a school setting, the response was not that my argument lacked evidence or balance. Rather, the topic itself—immigration enforcement—was too controversial.

Whether someone supported or opposed ICE became irrelevant. The entire subject was treated as radioactive.

Civic education does not improve when controversial topics disappear. Students cannot learn to evaluate arguments they are never permitted to hear. They cannot practice disagreement if disagreement is institutionally discouraged.

From an administrative standpoint, the calculation makes sense. District leaders face public pressure, social media scrutiny, and potential backlash from the board. Avoiding controversy protects stability. Yet stability achieved through avoidance produces intellectual stagnation.

Schools exist to educate, not to neutralize.

I would rather sit in a classroom where I strongly disagree with the prevailing viewpoint than sit in one where no viewpoint is allowed. Exposure to arguments forces students to sharpen their own reasoning. Silence prevents that sharpening process entirely.

When administrators prevent discussion because the topic might generate complaints, they replace intellectual rigor with risk management.

The effects are visible beyond the classroom. When I watch ICE protests organized by high school students across the country, I see energy but not depth. I see slogans but not statutory analysis. I see passion but not understanding of how federal authority is structured, how immigration law is written, or how executive agencies operate.

That is not entirely the students’ fault. It is the predictable outcome of an education system that avoids the substance of controversial policy debates.

Civic engagement without civic literacy becomes performance. Students march, chant, and post, but many cannot explain the legal framework they are protesting.

If immigration enforcement, policing authority, or foreign policy discussions are considered too controversial for classrooms, students will form opinions without structured guidance.

A functioning democracy requires citizens who can analyze arguments they oppose, understand legal structures they criticize, and articulate positions grounded in fact rather than impulse. That capacity must begin in K–12 education. Schools cannot prepare students for civic life while shielding them from civic substance.

If controversy is inevitable in public life, then controversy must be part of public education. The alternative is a generation fluent in outrage but unfamiliar with the foundations of the policies they debate.

Three Things the Left Lied About—February 14, 2026 | IFA

Wacky, warped, and wayward–these are three words that can be used to describe the lies told by the Left this week. It’s easy to grow weary as one lie after another pushes its way into the newsfeeds. As faithful intercessors, however, we must always be ready to counter deception with truth and evidence.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

Concerned Parents Labeled as Terrorists

The first lie told by the Left this week revolves around a training hosted by the Loudoun County School Board in northern Virginia. 7News reports that the board, “under the leadership of new School Board Chair April Chandler, held a closed-door meeting for school board members and staff only. The subject of the meeting? Responding to ‘terrorist activity’ at school board meetings.”

Most people would assume that the board is referring to violent extremists whose intentions are to maim or kill school officials. But the targets of this particular training were parents who don’t agree with the board’s policies. Referred to as “disruptors” and “agitators,” they are being labeled as major threats by the school board.

Dozens of actors were brought in for the training. Posing as unruly Loudoun County parents, they screamed, yelled, and frantically ran around the room, simulating possible scenarios that could unfold at a meeting. During the training, one of the pretend parents had a gun. School board members and staff were “instructed to run, hide, and fight,” which was similar to active shooter trainings that are provided for students.

Real-life parents who heard about the training were outraged, with one responding, “We’re not violent parents. We’re loud. We’re very loud, and we’re very forceful because they [the school board] won’t listen. I know nobody that has wished any violence upon the school board, not me, once ever has thought about doing anything violent against the school board. We want to be heard and we want to be respected, and we want our children protected.”

Another parent stated, “It’s appalling, and it’s insulting,” adding that the school board should be focusing on student safety instead of its own.

In the past, parents in Loudoun County have spoken out at school board meetings about bathroom and locker room policies that put students in danger. Instead of listening to parents’ concerns, however, the board continues to fight for “trans rights” and gender inclusion, all the while defying the Department of Education.

The Left wants Americans to believe that parents who speak out at school board meetings are violent agitators, but the truth is that woke school boards are creating the most dangerous situations of all. By holding fast to irrational gender policies and refusing to protect students, they are putting children in unstable, harmful situations. We must pray that the Loudoun County School Board will come to its senses and do away with its “gender inclusive” policies.

United Nations Begs for Money

The next lie told by the Left this week involves the United Nations, a Leftist organization that is currently in the middle of a financial crisis. Just recently, U.N. Human Rights Commissioner Volker Turk told a room full of delegates that “we are currently in survival mode, delivering under strain.” Volker practically begged for $400 million to keep the fledgling organization afloat.

While the UN maintains that it’s doing life-saving work, the Trump Administration is not buying it. In fact, many of the UN’s so-called humanitarian programs have been deemed wasteful and “hostile to American interests.” As a result, at least $570 million in funds have been cut. “Mandatory payments” to the U.N.’s regular budget have not been paid by multiple nations, including the U.S., which is responsible for 22% of that total.

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres insists that the UN is on the verge of a financial apocalypse because of unpaid dues by member nations. He stated, “Either all Member States honor their obligations to pay in full and on time – or Member States must fundamentally overhaul our financial rules to prevent an imminent financial collapse.” U.N. officials claim, “the U.S. owes over $2 billion for the regular U.N. budget and another $2.4 billion for current and past peacekeeping missions, and $43 million for tribunals.”

The U.S. State Department spokesperson, however, cautions that the UN is facing a “management crisis, not a cash crisis.” In the end, they must learn how to use their funds properly and ethically, instead of engaging in schemes where waste, fraud, and abuse become commonplace.

The UN insists that it uses its funding for the good of the planet. But that lie has been exposed again and again. It’s now time for accountability and radical change. Shake-ups are necessary to get the ball rolling in an entirely new direction.

Liberal Governor Twists Scripture to Affirm LGBTQ Stance

The third lie told by the Left this week is a doozy and will likely strike a nerve with Christians. It comes from Democratic Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. The liberal leader appeared on The View, making the claim that his actions as governor have been guided by his Christian faith. Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, took issue with this, reminding Christians that Governor Beshear has vetoed legislation banning transgender procedures for minors, as well as puberty blockers and opposite-sex hormones.

On The View, Governor Beshear stated, “Most of the decisions I make are based on that Golden Rule that says we love our neighbor as ourself, and that parable [of] the Good Samaritan that says everyone is our neighbor. And so, when I’ve taken actions like vetoing the nastiest piece of anti-LGBTQ legislation that ever came through my state, I described it in those terms. I said my faith teaches me that all children are children of God, and I didn’t want people picking on those kids.”

Mohler wrote on X, “Gov. Beshear doesn’t define his faith, except that it includes the Good Samaritan and the Golden Rule. You are looking here at two different rival religions. You have historic, orthodox, biblical Christianity, and you have theological liberalism and whatever it produces next.”

Gov. Beshear’s cherry-picking of the scriptures to support his anti-biblical views is not surprising when one understands how the “LGBTQ revolution” has caused many leaders to redefine Christian principles to suit their own political leanings. In essence, they are building their own religion that has nothing to do with biblical truth.

Gov. Beshear has used Christianity to “affirm his liberal positions” more than once. At the 2024 Democratic National Convention, he suggested that “those who oppose abortion are lacking underlying empathy and not loving their neighbor as themselves.” It should be obvious that Beshear is twisting Scripture into a tangled pretzel because murdering an innocent baby is clearly the opposite of loving one’s neighbor. In the past, he has vetoed legislation to restrict abortion and referred to the biblical Mary as “an unwed teenager” whom “people in those days would judge, would look down on, would pass legislation against.”

Sadly, Gov. Beshear fails to understand that the legislation he favors contradicts the very reason that Jesus Christ died on the cross for mankind. He didn’t die so that His followers would affirm sin, but rather, so they would turn from it.

We are living in a world where politicians and leaders are constantly trying to mold the Bible to fit their agenda. But the Word does not change, and neither does God. Thus, when Christians hear these lies, they must counter them with biblical truth. One day, Gov. Beshear will stand before God and give an account for his actions. We pray that he would turn from his wicked ways before it’s too late.

Why Are Teachers Pushing Activism Instead of Academics? | Standing for Freedom Center

When those entrusted to teach the next generation abandon their own classrooms and encourage children to protest for left-wing causes, the question is no longer whether this is happening but why anyone still pretends it’s about education.

Across the country, teachers are facilitating student walkouts to protest federal immigration enforcement. In some classrooms, teachers help students make protest signs during class time. In San Diego, a first-grade teacher posted video of herself flipping the American flag upside down in her classroom and hanging an “Abolish ICE” sign on the wall. In California, teachers led second-graders down sidewalks carrying anti-ICE signs and chanting slogans.

Meanwhile, hundreds of school districts have seen students walk out of class — some with teacher support, others with administrative indifference. School grounds have been repurposed as political theaters. Children who cannot read at grade level are being trained to stage protests over policies they cannot explain.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton have threatened to investigate school districts for “facilitating” these protests, warning that teachers who encourage walkouts could lose their teaching certificates and districts could face state takeover.

The threats reveal the obvious: Teachers and administrators are enabling this political mobilization.

The question demands a direct answer: Why do teachers promote student walkouts and protests over politics?

Because political mobilization serves their ideological goals, creates the illusion of grassroots legitimacy for positions that cannot withstand scrutiny when debated by adults, and distracts from their own catastrophic failure to educate. Children chanting slogans they cannot defend provide cover for teachers who cannot teach them to read.

This did not happen by accident. For decades, ideological actors moved deliberately through teacher-training programs, administrative offices, and curriculum committees. What once required college-level immersion is now introduced in elementary schools, normalized faster, and celebrated as moral courage before students are old enough to understand the consequences of what they’re repeating.

Children are no longer being taught how to reason. They are being trained what to feel. They are not equipped to weigh competing claims, understand trade-offs, or appreciate how fragile ordered societies actually are. Instead, they are shaped into a worldview that treats the nation as an oppressor, borders as immoral, law enforcement as inherently suspect, and authority as something to be resisted rather than respected.

That worldview did not arise naturally. Teachers installed it.

The deeper contradiction exposes the fraud. None of these students would apply their ideology to their own lives. Not one would leave their front door unlocked for all comers. They understand boundaries instinctively. Teachers taught them to reject boundaries ideologically. That contradiction does not come from reason. It comes from training.

Proverbs 22:6 teaches, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Although they may not be Bible scholars, teachers understand this principle intuitively. That is why they work so deliberately to control formation, knowing that what fills a child’s mind shapes how they see the world, what they value, and how they respond to authority.

Academic Failure by Design

While students are trained to chant slogans and stage walkouts, they are increasingly unable to read complex texts, reason through arguments, perform elementary math, or compete academically with their peers around the world. A generation is being mobilized politically while being hollowed out intellectually.

Oregon provides the clearest evidence of this deliberate failure. The state suspended graduation requirements that students demonstrate basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics. Teachers and administrators claimed that expecting students to read, write, and perform basic math was causing “harm” to “historically marginalized communities.”

Dan Farley, assistant superintendent of research for Oregon’s Department of Education, stated that the old requirements produced outcomes that “could all be predicted by race, ethnicity, IEP status, multilingual learner status. We have to do what we can to disrupt those basically racist outcomes.”

The suspension was extended for five years. Test scores remain well below pre-pandemic levels, with just 44 percent of 11th graders proficient in English language arts, compared to 71 percent in 2018, and only 20 percent proficient in math, down from 34 percent in 2018.

In Chicago, hundreds of public school teachers recently abandoned their classrooms — on the taxpayer’s dime — to lobby state lawmakers for a contract that would secure nearly $50 billion in taxpayer funds. The demands included funding for abortion and surrogacy, “LGBTQ+” training, gender-neutral bathrooms, and salary increases to nearly $150,000 annually.

Meanwhile, three out of four Chicago public school students cannot read at grade level. Nearly 83 percent fail to meet math proficiency standards.Poll: Do you think young people are becoming more conservative?(Required)Poll: Do you think young people are becoming more conservative?(Required)Poll: Do you think young people are becoming more conservative?(Required)Do you think young people are becoming more conservative?(Required)YesNoEmail(Required)

Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates sends her own son to private school. Nearly 40 percent of Chicago public school teachers do the same — four times the rate of average American families. They know what these schools produce. They simply choose not to fix it.

Politics Over Safety, Ideology Over Students

The hypocrisy extends even to student safety. When the Department of Transportation announced emergency rules cracking down on granting commercial driver’s licenses to unqualified or illegal immigrants — prompted by fatal accidents caused by illiterate CDL holders — the American Federation of Teachers immediately sued to block the regulation.

Their reasoning? Some teachers hold non-domiciled licenses and drive school buses.

Teachers’ unions went to court to fight highway safety rules designed to protect the very children they claim to serve. AFT President Randi Weingarten called the safety regulation “spiteful” and accused the administration of trying to “hurt hundreds of thousands of lawful immigrants.”

She did not mention families of those killed by drivers who could not read road signs. She did not acknowledge that, in a Florida crash, an illegal immigrant trucker answered just 2 of 12 questions correctly on an English proficiency test before causing a crash that killed three people. She didn’t extend condolences to the family of the California high school basketball coach who was killed after his car was rear-ended by an illegal truck driver who was high and traveling well beyond the speed limit.

Romans 13 establishes that legitimate government authority exists “for your good” and serves as “an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.” When teachers and their union presidents actively work to undermine laws designed to protect children, they are not just violating professional ethics. They are resisting God-ordained authority meant to preserve order and protect the innocent.

The Church Cannot Remain Silent

The battle is not primarily academic, it’s spiritual, as Ephesians 6:12 remind us:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

What we are witnessing is the deliberate dismantling of ordered society through the corruption of student formation. Children are taught to despise their inheritance. Patriotism is reframed as oppression. Gratitude gives way to grievance. Authority is delegitimized.

This is what happens when adults abdicate their responsibility to teach truth and cede formation to ideologues who promise compassion while delivering chaos. Parents outsourced discipleship. Teachers abandoned instruction. Unions and political activists filled the vacuum.

The result is a generation taught to hate the structures that protect them. And when young people are taught to despise what shields them from chaos, they will cheer its erosion — at least until the consequences arrive.

Every child trained to reject biblical authority, despise ordered society, and embrace chaos as justice is a soul being formed for rebellion against God Himself.

Teachers are not just failing to educate — they are actively working to ensure students cannot recognize truth when they encounter it.

The Church must reclaim the responsibility it surrendered. This means parents refusing to outsource discipleship to institutions that oppose Christ. It means Christians speaking truth in the public square without apology. It means local congregations equipping families to educate and form children in biblical truth rather than abandoning them to ideologues who promise enlightenment while producing illiteracy.

This is not the moment to retreat into private faithfulness while the culture collapses. It is the moment to advance — boldly, clearly, and with full confidence in the authority of Scripture and the ultimate victory of Christ over every competing ideology.

The question is no longer how this happened. The question is whether the Church has the courage to fight for the children being sacrificed on the altar of left-wing political activism and whether we will stand before God having done everything we could to rescue this generation from those who would destroy them.

The teachers have made their choice. What will the Church do?

Ilhan Omar UNDER FEDERAL INVESTIGATION as House GOP Probes How She Made MILLIONS While in Congress | The Gateway Pundit

Credit: Fibonacci Blue

Rep. Ilhan Omar is now under federal scrutiny as House Republicans investigate how the far-left lawmaker and her family allegedly amassed millions of dollars in wealth while she served in Congress.

It can be recalled that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer dropped a bombshell, suggesting that far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar sits “at the top of the suspect list” in the sprawling Minnesota fraud scandals involving taxpayer-funded daycare and healthcare programs.

According to a new report from Fox News’ Jesse Watters and Kevin Cork, the House Oversight Committee is now probing how the Somali-born Congresswoman and her husband, Tim Mynett, managed to skyrocket from near-bankruptcy to a staggering net worth of roughly $30 MILLION in just one year.

More from Fox News:

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s net worth has swelled to as much as $30 million in just one year, her congressional financial disclosures reveal.

The 2025 disclosure, first reported by the Washington Free Beacon, shows that Omar and her husband, Tim Mynett, have a net worth ranging from $6 million to $30 million, despite claims earlier this year that she was “not a millionaire.” The vast majority of the wealth comes from Mynett’s two companies, a winery in California and a venture capital firm.

Disclosures from the end of 2023 showed that those ownership stakes were valued at just $51,000, and they grew little in 2024.

[…]

She hit back on claims about her personal wealth in February, encouraging critics to “try checking my public financial statements.”

Mynett’s firm, Rose Lake Capital, is valued between $5 million and $25 million according to the 2025 disclosure, while the winery, eStCru Wines, is valued between $1 million and $5 million.

During a Fox News segment, senior national correspondent Kevin Corke explained that Oversight investigators are probing Omar’s skyrocketing family wealth in the aftermath of the massive Somali social services fraud scandal that exploded in her Minnesota district.

It can be recalled that the $30 million venture capital firm run by Rep. Ilhan Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, has quietly removed the names and bios of its top officers and advisors from its website.

According to a bombshell report from the New York Post, Rose Lake Capital, founded by Mynett in 2022, scrubbed the details of nine key figures between September and October 2025.

Oversight Chairman James Comer confirmed his legal team is considering the extraordinary step of subpoenaing Omar’s husband over what lawmakers describe as deeply suspicious business activity.

Labor Filings Show Teachers’ Union Funneled Millions into Far-Left Causes | IFA

According to federal labor filings, the National Education Association (NEA), a group that IFA has covered before, funneled millions in union funds to far-left groups and causes, including ballot initiatives and social justice organizations.

From Fox News:

A November Form L-2 disclosure from the National Education Association (NEA) filed in November and obtained by the North American Values Institute (NAVI) shows 2024 fiscal year spending that involved millions given to social justice-oriented groups and far-left causes.

The NEA, which boasts more than 3 million members, sent $300,000 to the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a liberal dark money group Fox News Digital has reported on extensively, and tens of thousands of dollars to the Tides Foundation network, which Fox News Digital previously reported has ties to anti-Israel protests and a variety of far left causes.

Among the largest expenditures was more than $3.5 million sent to Education International, a global teachers federation where NEA President Becky Pringle serves as a vice president. The filing also details hundreds of thousands of dollars flowing to organizations backing ballot initiatives aimed at reshaping education policy and election laws in states, including Ohio, Massachusetts, Arizona and Wisconsin.

Regarding ballot initiatives, the NEA reportedly spent $500,000 on a campaign to end standardized testing in Massachusetts and another $500,000 on an anti-gerrymandering amendment in Ohio. The union also gave $500,000 to a progressive consulting firm that specializes in ballot initiatives and canvassing.

The NEA also reportedly gave over $160,000 to a consulting firm focused on racial equity training, $350,000 to a foundation that “fuels racial and education justice movements,” and “tens of thousands” according to Fox to groups promoting “social justice education.”

NAVI Director of Research Mika Hackner highlighted the union’s distorted priorities, telling Fox that the NEA is spending “hundreds of thousands of dollars on pet political projects completely divorced from the needs and wants of most teachers.” This has led some to call for the group’s federal charter to be re-evaluated, such as Erika Sanzi, senior director of communications for Defending Education, who said of the NEA, “Their leadership — and by extension, the organization itself — has morphed into a far-left insane asylum that is actively destroying the cause of education.”

At IFA, we have covered the NEA in several articles. IFA Contributor Nancy Huff, our education expert, has labeled the union as “an extension of the Democrat party,” accusing it of “interjecting liberal, progressive, ungodly policy into the hearts of millions of America’s brightest and most promising minds of students who occupied seats in our nation’s 99,000 public schools.”

What can be done? According to Huff, the President is already working to correct this. As IFA has warned previously, the Department of Education (ED) serves as a de-fact cabinet seat for the NEA. But with President Trump and ED Secretary Linda McMahon working hard to dismantle the department, the union is set to lose a great deal of federal power that it has confidently held for nearly 50 years.

As the NEA continues to push far-left policies in our nation and its schools, let’s for our leaders in the Trump administration. Pray that President Trump and Secretary McMahon would be able to reign this group in and stop it from corrupting future generations!

How are you praying about the NEA? Share your prayers and scriptures below.

Ideology Over Education: Why California’s Schools Are Failing | The Gateway Pundit

Person reading a blue book at a table with a stack of colorful books and a tablet nearby.
Person reading a blue book at a table with a stack of colorful books and a tablet nearby.

California’s educational outcomes rank among the worst in the nation when compared with other large states.

Blue states spend far more time on DEI-related lessons than red states, experience more student walkouts and protests, and have seen more strike activity in recent years, resulting in lost instructional days.

Large amounts of classroom time are wasted on ideological nonsense instead of academics.

Approved curricula in blue states prioritize many courses that conservative parents would view as a waste of time.

These programs also exist in red states, largely because cities in red states tend to be blue, but they are far more common and entrenched in blue states.

Social-emotional learning exists in both red and blue states, but blue states impose formal frameworks and statewide standards, while red states apply it more loosely or locally.

Climate change education shows a clear divide, with blue states mandating strong standards and providing state funding, while red states vary widely and mostly offer limited courses.

Ethnic studies is largely unique to California, with no comparable statewide equivalent in red states.

Discipline policies also differ sharply. Blue states emphasize restorative justice and reduced suspensions, while red states retain traditional discipline approaches.

Some blue districts have adopted “equitable grading” that deemphasizes tests, deadlines, and penalties, while red states rely on traditional grading systems.

To illustrate the difference between red and blue states, this article compares California with Florida and Indiana.

Florida was selected because both Florida and California have large Latino populations, yet conservative Florida scores significantly higher across many educational outcomes while spending less money.

This demonstrates that outcomes are not determined by race or funding, but by focus and hard work.

The data reflects this gap clearly. In the 2024 NAEP assessments, only 31 percent of California fourth graders achieved reading proficiency, a lower rate than both Florida and Indiana.

In eighth-grade math, California recorded just 23 percent proficiency, compared with 27 percent in Indiana and 26 percent in Florida.

California’s high school graduation rate stands at 84.8 percent, the lowest among the three states, while its dropout rate of 8.9 percent is nearly triple Florida’s 3.1 percent.

California students lose a massive amount of instructional time to nonacademic coursework. Ethnic studies alone consumes approximately 90 to 180 hours, the equivalent of a full semester to a year-long course.

When combined with formal social-emotional learning programs at roughly 30 to 40 hours per year, enhanced climate education beyond basic science instruction at 15 to 20 hours, and restorative justice practices consuming another 20 to 30 hours, the total reaches approximately 200 to 250 or more hours annually.

This is instructional time that students in red states spend on traditional academics.

That loss is equivalent to one to one-and-a-half full-year courses not spent on mathematics, reading, science depth, history, or foreign languages.

This displacement is especially damaging for California’s English Learner population, which makes up roughly 19 percent of the state’s students and urgently needs maximum time devoted to core academics and English language development, not ethnic studies and ideological coursework.

This instructional imbalance helps explain why red states such as Mississippi and Alabama recovered more effectively from pandemic learning loss and are now outperforming blue states like California and Oregon on NAEP assessments.

Students in red states receive more actual academic instruction time, while California diverts hundreds of hours away from core subjects that students, especially English Learners, need most.

As bad as California’s official numbers are, the reality is worse. California uses accountability exclusions that affect how student scores are counted in public reporting.

Under federal accountability rules in ESSA, students must be enrolled in a school for at least one full year, from Census Day in October through testing in May, for their scores to count toward that school’s or district’s performance rating.

Migrant and some newcomer students move frequently and often remain in a school for only three to six months, which means their scores are often excluded from School Dashboard ratings. Those scores still exist in the state database, but they do not count toward a school’s public performance grade.

Under California’s Assembly Bill 714, passed in 2024, newcomer pupils who have been in the United States for less than three years are eligible for exemptions from certain local graduation requirements and may be granted a fifth year of high school.

As a result, students who take longer to complete graduation requirements are not immediately counted as dropouts.

Even when it comes to migrants, California fails. California’s migrant students perform significantly worse than migrant students in other states.

Migrant students are children whose families move for agricultural or fishing work and represent a small subset of the total student population. Among migrant students, California achieves only 12.1 percent math proficiency, compared with 18.5 percent in Florida and 15.2 percent in Indiana.

California’s migrant students also have higher dropout rates at 17.8 percent, compared with 10.2 percent in Florida and 11.1 percent in Indiana.

Chronic absenteeism among California’s migrant students reaches 34.2 percent, compared with 29.1 percent in Florida and 26.5 percent in Indiana. These comparisons reflect migrant student populations only, not overall statewide performance.

In California, students are often placed in grades based on chronological age rather than prior academic completion. Research from the Public Policy Institute of California confirms that many immigrant students enter the system with interrupted formal education.

Because of federal and state laws, a 15-year-old who may have only completed fourth grade in their home country is often placed directly into ninth or tenth grade in a U.S. high school.

This results in lower scores because students are tested on high-school-level material such as Algebra or Biology without having completed foundational fifth through eighth grade coursework.

Yes, California scores are lower as a result, but liberals believe diversity is our strength.

INSANITY: Newsom’s California Delays Revoking 17,000 Commercial Driver’s Licenses Until March Following “Dangerous Foreign Drivers” Legal Challenge | The Gateway Pundit

California Governor Gavin Newsom speaks at a press event promoting the California Blueprint, with a train in the background and attendees wearing masks.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has backed down on federal enforcement of commercial driver’s license revocations, announcing a delay in the cancellation of 17,000 commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) issued to immigrant drivers — now postponed until March 6, 2026.

The move comes only after immigrant advocacy groups filed a federal lawsuit and secured a temporary reprieve against the state’s efforts to comply with federal safety and immigration rules.

The Gateway Pundit reported in November that California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) had confessed to illegally handing out 17,000 non-domiciled Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs) to dangerous foreign drivers who have no business operating massive semitrucks or school buses on American roads.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy blasted California for “illegally issuing 17,000 commercial driver’s licenses” to individuals whose credentials did not meet federal requirements, even threatening to withhold up to $160 million in federal highway funds if the state refused to act.

“After weeks of claiming they did nothing wrong, Gavin Newsom and California have been caught red-handed. Now that we’ve exposed their lies, 17,000 illegally issued trucking licenses are being revoked,” said U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy. “This is just the tip of the iceberg. My team will continue to force California to prove they have removed every illegal immigrant from behind the wheel of semitrucks and school buses.”

Each of the 17,000 non-domiciled CDL holders has been issued notice that their license will expire within 60 days, as it no longer meets federal requirements.

FMCSA is now requiring the California DMV to hand over a full audit of all non-domiciled CDLs to verify that every unlawfully issued license is revoked and that the state corrects the systemic failures that allowed this fraud to occur.

Federal auditors found that over one in four foreign driver records sampled in California failed to comply with federal law, including CDLs that extended beyond the expiration of a foreign worker’s visa, a blatant violation of federal safety regulations.

Now, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) confirmed that the previously scheduled cancellation, originally set to begin in early January, will now be deferred while legal challenges play out in court.

This stunning reversal follows a wave of legal filings by organizations such as the Asian Law Caucus and the Sikh Coalition, who rushed to court arguing that the state’s actions threatened the livelihoods of thousands of “hard-working” immigrant truck drivers and bus operators.

Their lawsuit claimed that the DMV’s enforcement actions were unlawful and violated due process, alleging that drivers were not financially or legally equipped to respond to abrupt cancellation notices.

Newsom’s announcement provides additional breathing room for the state, which had been under immense pressure from the Trump Administration — and the U.S. Department of Transportation — to clean up a disastrous licensing program that federal auditors found had issued CDLs beyond the lawful terms of the drivers’ immigration status.

KTVB reported:

The Sikh Coalition, a national group defending the civil rights of Sikhs, and the San Francisco-based Asian Law Caucus filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of the California drivers. They said immigrant truck drivers were being unfairly targeted. The driver in the Florida crash and the driver in another fatal crash in California in October are both Sikhs.

Immigrants account for about 20% of all truck drivers, but these non-domiciled licenses immigrants can receive only represent about 5% of all commercial driver’s licenses or about 200,000 drivers. The Transportation Department also proposed new restrictions that would severely limit which noncitizens could get a license, but a court put the new rules on hold.

Mumeeth Kaur, the legal director of the Sikh Coalition, said this delay “is an important step towards alleviating the immediate threat that these drivers are facing to their lives and livelihoods.”

It can be recalled that Harjinder Singh, an illegal alien truck driver, killed three Americans after he made an illegal U-turn on a Florida highway.

The Punjabi driver who obtained his truck driving license (CDL) in the Democrat-run sanctuary state of California made an insane U-turn on Florida’s Turnpike near Fort Pierce that caused the deadly crash.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy revealed Singh failed English and couldn’t read road signs.

Another Indian illegal immigrant also faced three counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and reckless driving for allegedly causing a collision last month on the westbound 10 Freeway in San Bernardino County, California.

Jashanpreet Singh, 21, is accused of crashing a semi-truck into traffic, where three people were killed and four were injured.

Singh faced 17 years in prison, but that was downgraded to 10 after it was discovered he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, something authorities originally claimed.

In November, another criminal, an illegal alien semi-truck driver who obtained a CDL in California, killed two people in Bend, Oregon, after jackknifing the trailer.

The DHS said Rajinder Kumar was released into the interior of the US by the Biden Administration. He obtained a CDL by California Governor Gavin Newsom’s DMV.

“Rajinder Kumar, a criminal illegal alien from India, was released into our country under the Biden administration and issued a commercial driver’s license by Gavin Newsom’s Department of Motor Vehicles. How many more senseless tragedies must take place before sanctuary politicians stop allowing illegal aliens to dangerously operate semi-trucks on America’s roads?” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

DEI and the Rise of Ideological Tyranny During the Biden Years | The Gateway Pundit

Participants at a UC Berkeley rally hold signs advocating for equity, diversity, and inclusion, alongside a prominent display of the Black Lives Matter movement.
DEI and the Rise of Ideological Tyranny During the Biden Years

In the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, large-scale protests using slogans and manufactured concepts such as “systemic racism” prompted many major U.S. corporations to rapidly adopt diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, embedding DEI goals into hiring, promotion, and retention policies.

These programs were framed as responses to public pressure and moral urgency, positioning DEI as both a social responsibility and a corporate priority. Over time, however, DEI moved beyond equal opportunity into ideological enforcement and introduced a new vocabulary that reinforced a specific political framing. Between 2014 and 2020, a series of slogans and manufactured concepts entered widespread use and were incorporated into mandatory training programs, corporate communications, and academic requirements.

Slogans such as “Black Lives Matter,” which became widespread after Ferguson, “Defund the Police,” “Believe All Women,” “Silence Is Violence,” “Say Their Names,” “No Justice, No Peace,” and “The Future Is Female” evolved from protest rhetoric into enforced speech norms. Corporations placed these slogans on their websites and in official communications to signal compliance and moral alignment, while companies and individuals who refused were often marginalized, ostracized, or professionally disadvantaged.

At the same time, a parallel set of manufactured concepts reshaped everyday language and institutional policy. Terms such as white privilege, white fragility, unconscious or implicit bias, microaggressions, intersectionality, positionality, racial humility, and systemic racism were embedded into workplace and academic life.

Other concepts, including anti-racism redefined as active ideological participation, cultural appropriation with an expanded scope, lived experience elevated above objective evidence, whiteness treated as a distinct moral category, and acronyms such as BIPOC, further codified the framework.

Language surrounding allyship, decolonization, centering marginalized voices, safe and brave spaces, trigger warnings, emotional labor, tone policing, and settler colonialism migrated from activist and academic contexts into corporate policy and professional evaluation. Together, these slogans and concepts functioned as compelled speech, shaping acceptable belief and expression within institutions.

Given so many slogans, concepts, and vocabulary, corporations needed to hire people to ensure that these agendas were being enforced. Chief diversity officer positions grew by 168.9 percent between 2019 and 2022. DEI job openings increased 55 percent in the first three months after Floyd’s death, and DEI-related positions rose 60 percent nationwide by 2020. NPR reported that 78 percent of its 2021 new hires were non-white. Condé Nast reported that in 2021 only 25 percent of new hires were male and 49 percent were white. Vox Media shifted from being 82 percent male and 88 percent white in 2013 to 37 percent male and 59 percent white by 2022. At the Los Angeles Times, only 7.7 percent of interns hired since 2020 were white men.

These changes were accompanied by restrictive policies and systemic injustices. Training programs compelled ideological conformity, with employees required to attend sessions teaching that they were inherently racist based on skin color and that America was systemically racist. Acceptance of concepts such as white privilege and racial guilt was often mandatory. Critics argue that such programs created hostile work environments for white employees.

Multiple legal challenges followed. At Pennsylvania State University, a white male professor sued over training that attacked race neutrality, equal opportunity, colorblindness, and merit. In Diemert v. City of Seattle, a former employee claimed diversity initiatives created a hostile work environment. In another case involving a Washington medical center, an employee alleged termination for failing to adhere to race-conscious DEI principles.

Documented hiring practices reinforced these claims. Wells Fargo was accused of conducting sham interviews with diverse candidates for positions that had already been filled, leading to shareholder lawsuits. The NFL faced accusations of conducting fake interviews with minority candidates. Disney’s Writing Program awarded 107 writing fellowships and 17 directing fellowships without a single award going to a white man.

Hiring managers quoted in multiple accounts stated openly that they were not hiring the best candidate and that excluding white men was routine. University hiring statistics in California reflected similar patterns. Since 2020, UC Irvine hired three white men out of 64 tenure-track positions. UC Santa Cruz hired two white men out of 59 humanities positions. Brown University hired three white American men out of 45 humanities and social sciences positions since 2022.

Racial segregation also expanded through the use of affinity groups. Conservative critics documented mandatory segregated training sessions organized by race and “whiteness accountability” groups required for white employees. At Stanford University, Jewish staff reported pressure to join whiteness accountability groups, effectively erasing Jewish identity by categorizing them solely as white. At the federal level, the Trump administration responded in September 2020 with Executive Order 13950.

The order banned federal agencies and contractors from conducting training involving “divisive concepts,” including teachings that one race is inherently superior, that individuals are inherently racist or sexist based on race or sex, that moral character is determined by race, or that merit and hard work are racist concepts. Enforcement mechanisms included the threat of contract termination and a hotline operated by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Contractors were required to certify compliance or risk losing federal funding.

The Biden administration immediately rescinded the order. Federal DEI requirements were expanded, and diversity officers were required across federal agencies.

Corporate environments increasingly restricted speech. Employees reported fear of questioning DEI policies, citing termination, blacklisting, public shaming, and career destruction. In Savage’s reporting, every interviewee demanded anonymity, fearing being labeled racist. Questioning diversity metrics became grounds for professional retaliation, and self-censorship became standard.

Meritocracy was abandoned in favor of explicit racial targeting that, while unofficial, was enforced in practice. Diversity was prioritized over qualifications, and white applicants were automatically disadvantaged. Procurement and supplier mandates reinforced the same framework. Retailers faced pressure to adopt policies such as the “15 Percent Pledge,” allocating shelf space to Black-owned businesses. Supplier diversity requirements expanded, with non-diverse suppliers increasingly excluded.

Education systems reflected similar patterns. K–12 schools and universities implemented mandatory courses on systemic racism and required students to acknowledge white privilege. In some cases, grading was influenced by adherence to ideological positions. States such as California and Washington enacted laws mandating diversity reporting, LGBTQ+ curricula, and other identity-based requirements.

These policies produced economic, social, and cultural harms. Institutions declined in quality, media trust eroded, and decision-making shifted from merit to race. Racial division increased, young men were excluded from career paths, family formation was delayed, and mental health crises intensified. Colorblindness was abandoned in favor of explicit racial consciousness, individual rights were weakened, and group identity replaced merit.

Corporations also engaged in performative actions, including mandated Black Lives Matter statements, black squares on social media, rainbow logos during Pride month, land acknowledgments, preferred pronouns in email signatures, and product rebranding campaigns affecting long-standing brands and media content.

These developments constitute violations of civil rights law, compelled ideological speech, collective guilt imposed on individuals, career destruction based on immutable characteristics, institutional corruption, and social engineering. The George Floyd moment triggered a moral panic that led to institutional overreach, discrimination against white Americans, particularly men, and long-term institutional decline.

ICE Arrests 223 Illegal Aliens in Indiana Highway Operation, 146 Were Truck Drivers | The Gateway Pundit

Secretary Kristi Noem announced that a joint 287(g) operation between ICE and the Indiana State Police resulted in the arrest of 223 illegal aliens along Indiana highways near the Illinois border, including 146 truck drivers. The operation, conducted in Northwest Indiana as part of Chicago-based Operation Midway Blitz, targeted individuals involved in offenses including DUI, drug trafficking, burglary, assault, child abuse, domestic battery, prostitution, and fraud. More than 40 of those arrested had been issued commercial driver’s licenses, primarily from Illinois, California, and New York.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also conducted roadside enforcement actions in multiple states, including New York, detaining drivers holding valid commercial licenses issued by other states. Federal and state officials said these operations were intended to address public safety risks associated with illegal aliens operating commercial vehicles and cited recent fatal crashes as justification for coordinated enforcement, particularly in and around sanctuary jurisdictions.

The enforcement actions followed federal audits that identified widespread CDL fraud and improper issuance practices across multiple states. Federal officials estimate that as many as 130,000 undocumented truck drivers may be operating in the United States, with tens of thousands believed to have obtained licenses through illegitimate means.

The Trump administration has threatened to withhold highway funding from states that fail to comply with federal audits and revoke licenses issued under questionable circumstances. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that New York could lose up to $73 million in federal highway funding if the state fails to address audit findings within 30 days. Similar funding threats have been directed at California at $160 million, Texas at $182 million, and Minnesota at $30 million.

New York’s Department of Motor Vehicles rejected the allegations, stating that it complies with federal requirements and verifies lawful status using federally issued documents. State officials characterized the funding threat as a political action that does not improve road safety.

California has filed a lawsuit against the federal government seeking the return of tens of millions of dollars in withheld transportation funding, arguing that the funding cuts are arbitrary and unlawful. The state has begun revoking 17,000 improperly issued licenses in response to federal pressure.

Federal audits found that 53 percent of sampled non-domiciled commercial driver’s licenses in New York were issued illegally and that 25 percent of 145 non-domiciled licenses reviewed in California since June 2025 were improperly issued. Additional audits identified improper issuance practices in Colorado, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington.

The issue is longstanding. Between 2000 and 2021, the number of foreign-born truck drivers more than doubled, rising from 316,000 to more than 720,000. Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows that immigrants made up approximately 18 to 20 percent of truck drivers in 2024, compared to 18.6 percent of the overall U.S. labor force. Industry sources, including FreightWaves, estimate the actual share may exceed 20 percent due to underreporting by small fleets. Immigrant truck drivers primarily come from Central America and the Caribbean, accounting for about 59.8 percent, followed by South America at 6.5 percent, with additional drivers from India, China, Poland, Ukraine, and other regions.

Certain states have especially high proportions of immigrant truck drivers, including California at 46.7 percent, New Jersey at 40.4 percent, Florida at 32.2 percent, and New York at 25.7 percent. In Houston, nearly 40 percent of local truck drivers are immigrants, while in the Los Angeles–Long Beach–Anaheim metropolitan area, 52 percent of truck drivers are foreign-born.

In addition to immigrant drivers, illegal alien drivers are also present, and among both legal and illegal immigrants there has been widespread fraud related to commercial driver’s licenses, including identity theft, bribery schemes, fraudulent Mexican licenses, and test-taking fraud.

In August 2025, federal authorities charged Flor Consuelo Del Carmen Caballero Bernabe, a 55-year-old Peruvian citizen, with using a stolen identity to obtain and maintain a Connecticut commercial driver’s license for nearly 25 years. Caballero Bernabe entered the United States in 2000 on a non-immigrant visa and used the identity and Social Security number of a U.S. citizen born in Puerto Rico to reside, work, and obtain a CDL. The fraud was uncovered in 2022 after the rightful identity holder applied for Social Security Disability benefits and learned that someone in Connecticut had been earning income under the same number.

Investigators found that Caballero Bernabe used the fraudulent identity to obtain a U.S. passport in 2005, renew it in 2015, and again in 2021 after a legal name and gender change, traveling internationally multiple times. Federal authorities also determined that Caballero Bernabe made false statements on FMCSA medical examination forms to retain the CDL and operated commercial motor vehicles for federally regulated carriers.

Washington State regulators uncovered a bribery scheme involving Skyline CDL School, which operated locations in Auburn and Vancouver, and an independent third-party examiner. Investigators found that gold envelopes containing $520 to $530 in cash were mailed via UPS from individuals linked to Skyline, each bundle paper-clipped to a note listing the birthdate of a student seeking a commercial driver’s license. Some drivers never took the test, while others failed to appear on scheduled test days but still received passing scores. When authorities retested 74 drivers certified by the examiner, 80 percent failed.

The investigation also found that Skyline used unqualified instructors, falsified records, bypassed English-language requirements, and failed to document training hours. Washington suspended Skyline’s license in December 2024, terminated it in March 2025, and revoked the credentials of 110 drivers, including 102 associated with Skyline.

Texas Highway Patrol uncovered large-scale fraud involving counterfeit Mexican Licencias Federales de Conductor, the Mexican equivalent of a CDL, following an increase in commercial vehicles near construction zones after the COVID-19 pandemic. Officers found encampments of 80 to 100 commercial trucks around major Texas cities operated by drivers using digital Mexican licenses, many of whom were from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and other Central American countries rather than Mexico.

Major Omar Villarreal said roadside questioning quickly exposed the fraud when drivers claiming to be from Guadalajara described beaches, despite the city being landlocked. Drivers admitted purchasing the fake licenses for about $2,500 by submitting selfies and wiring payments to third-party vendors. The scheme expanded after Mexico digitized its LFC system in 2021, and Texas authorities linked the fraudulent licenses to rising crash rates among LFC holders statewide.

Multiple bribery and test-taking fraud schemes have also been prosecuted nationwide, involving DMV employees, trucking school owners, and professional test-takers. In California, a scheme involving multiple trucking schools and DMV employees led to 20 convictions after hundreds of commercial driver’s licenses were issued to applicants who had not taken or passed required tests. School owners acted as brokers, collecting payments and bribing DMV employees to enter false passing results into state databases.

In Massachusetts, former State Police Sergeant Gary Cederquist was convicted on 48 counts for providing false passing scores to 40 CDL applicants in exchange for bribes, including cases of Fiji Water, Arizona Iced Tea, and Swedish Fish. Prosecutors said Cederquist and his co-conspirators used the term “golden handshake” to mark applicants who would automatically pass, even if they failed or skipped the skills test.

Federal Audits Expose Widespread Commercial Truck Drivers’ Licensing Fraud, Illegal Immigrants, Fake Schools, and Bribery | The Gateway Pundit

Several high-profile fatal crashes in 2025 involving non-citizen truck drivers prompted the Department of Transportation to investigate how commercial driver’s licenses were being issued. Crashes in Florida that killed three people, in Texas that killed five, and in Alabama that killed two exposed widespread fraud and irregularities, including fake CDL schools, bribery schemes, fraudulent Mexican licenses, and state failures to properly verify immigration status.

On August 12, 2025, a crash on the Florida Turnpike killed three people when Harjinder Singh, a 28-year-old driver from India, attempted an illegal U-turn in an area marked for official use only. Singh had entered the United States illegally through Mexico in 2018 and later obtained a California commercial driver’s license. His trailer jackknifed, causing a minivan to become wedged underneath.

Investigators reported that Singh had been denied a work permit in 2020 and later received one in April 2025. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration investigators tested Singh for English proficiency, and he answered only two of twelve verbal questions correctly and identified just one of four traffic signs.

On March 13, 2025, a 17-vehicle pileup occurred in a construction zone on Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas, killing five people, including an infant and a four-year-old child, and hospitalizing eleven others. The driver, Solomun Weldekeal Araya, a 37-year-old Ethiopian national on a work visa, was hauling freight for Amazon.

He was charged with intoxication manslaughter after tests detected central nervous system depressants, although he claimed brake failure. Inspectors found no mechanical issues and cited prior hours-of-service violations, unsafe lane changes, and failure to follow traffic signs. Araya faces 22 charges, including manslaughter.

A third crash occurred on May 6, 2025, in Thomasville, Alabama, when a loaded semi-truck struck four vehicles stopped at a red light at highway speed, killing two people and injuring four others. The driver, Andrii Dmyterko, a 45-year-old Ukrainian national on a work visa, was on his third day on the job.

Authorities reported that neither the driver nor his passenger spoke English and communicated only in Russian. Investigators noted a failed skills test related to speeding, missing immigration paperwork, and confiscated the driver’s phone.

Safety experts estimate that as many as 130,000 illegal-alien truck drivers may be operating in the United States, with tens of thousands believed to have obtained licenses through illegitimate means. English proficiency enforcement was expanded following an executive order reversing prior guidance.

As of June 25, 2025, inspectors are authorized to place drivers out of service for lack of English proficiency, and approximately 9,500 commercial drivers have been removed from service since late June for failing to meet the requirement. Department of Transportation data shows that drivers cited for English-language violations have higher crash rates than those cited for speeding or drug- and alcohol-related offenses.

As a result of these findings, the Trump administration has threatened to withhold highway funding from states that fail to comply with federal audits and revoke licenses issued under questionable circumstances, including California at $160 million, New York at $73 million, Texas at $182 million, and Minnesota at $30 million. California has already begun revoking 17,000 improperly issued licenses.

In December 2025, an FMCSA audit found that 53 percent of sampled non-domiciled commercial driver’s licenses in New York were issued illegally. The audit cited automatic eight-year license issuance regardless of immigration status expiration, failure to verify lawful presence, and reliance on expired documentation. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that New York could lose up to $73 million in federal highway funding if the state fails to address the findings within 30 days.

New York’s Department of Motor Vehicles rejected the allegations, stating that it complies with federal requirements and verifies lawful status using federally issued documents. State officials characterized the funding threat as a political action that does not improve road safety. Similar funding threats or enforcement actions have been directed at Minnesota, Illinois, Chicago, and California.

In California, audits found that 25 percent of 145 non-domiciled licenses reviewed since June 2025 were improperly issued, including cases where licenses remained valid years after work permits expired. In addition to revoking 17,000 licenses, California has filed a lawsuit against the federal government seeking the return of tens of millions of dollars in withheld transportation funding, arguing that the funding cuts are arbitrary and unlawful.

Additional audits identified improper issuance practices in California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington. Federal findings showed that 17 percent of convictions were not transmitted from law enforcement to motor vehicle departments, incorrect disqualification dates were entered, and administrative appeals were granted when they should not have been allowed.

Investigations also uncovered large-scale training and licensing fraud. In Washington State, Skyline CDL School bribed a state examiner to secure passing scores, with some drivers never taking the test and 80 percent failing when retested. Records showed unqualified instructors, falsified documentation, bypassed English-language requirements, and more than 100 licenses were canceled.

In Texas, investigators found encampments of commercial trucks operated by drivers using fraudulent Mexican federal licenses obtained digitally by submitting photos and wiring payments.

In Louisiana, six defendants were indicted in August 2025 for a bribery scheme that bypassed federally mandated testing and training requirements. Arkansas responded by passing Act 604, making the presentation of a fake commercial driver’s license a felony and requiring English proficiency and employment authorization checks.

In response to the findings, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration removed nearly 3,000 non-compliant training providers from the federal registry and issued emergency rules in September 2025 restricting non-domiciled commercial driver’s licenses to limited visa categories.

The rules require unexpired passports and valid entry records, cap license duration at one year or visa expiration, mandate in-person renewals, and require states to pause new issuance until compliance is verified. Of approximately 200,000 non-citizens holding commercial drivers’ licenses, federal officials estimate that only 10,000 qualify under the new standards.

Trump Education Department Announces They’ve Found More Than a BILLION in Student Aid Fraud | The Gateway Pundit

The Trump Education Department has been focusing on identifying student loan fraud and they have a lot to show for their efforts. They just announced that they have uncovered more than a billion dollars in fraud.

Trump’s Education Secretary, Linda McMahon, may be the last cabinet official of her kind if Trump has his way. Like many Republicans going all the way back to Ronald Reagan, Trump wants to do away with the department completely.

McMahon and Trump have successfully done away with a number of horrible Bide-era policies on student loans and financial aid, which has helped them to identify all of this fraud.

The Education Department released this statement:

U.S. Department of Education Prevents More Than $1 Billion in Federal Student Aid Fraud This Year, Additional Crackdowns Expected in 2026

The U.S. Department of Education (the Department) today announced that it has prevented $1 billion in Federal student aid fraud since January 2025. Earlier this year, the Trump Administration implemented enhanced fraud controls governing how institutions of higher education distribute financial assistance, including mandatory identity verification for certain first-time student applicants. This effort has halted more than $1 billion in attempted financial aid theft by fraudsters, including coordinated international fraud rings and AI bots pretending to be students.

The Biden Administration’s decision to require identity verification from less than one percent of students created a prime opportunity for fraudsters to exploit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) process and steal taxpayer funds. Colleges and universities across the country reported being under siege by highly sophisticated fraud rings and requested the Trump Administration for help.

“American citizens have to present an ID to purchase a ticket to travel or to rent a car – it’s only right that they should present an ID to access tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to fund their education,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. “From day one, the Trump Administration has been committed to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal government. As a result, $1 billion in taxpayer funds will now support students pursuing the American dream, rather than falling into the hands of criminals. Merry Christmas, taxpayers!”

Background

Earlier this year, the Trump Administration uncovered that nearly $90 million in federal student aid was fraudulently disbursed, including more than $30 million disbursed to deceased individuals and more than $40 million disbursed to companies using bots disguised as fake students. The Department immediately began restoring fraud prevention measures that the Biden Administration had deprioritized to carry out its illegal student loan bailout and other misguided policies.

Because Federal data indicated that the rate of fraud through stolen identities had reached levels that could jeopardize the integrity of federal student aid programs, the Department launched a nationwide identity verification effort to eliminate fraud and abuse in June. Within the first week, the Department identified almost 150,000 suspect identities in current FAFSA forms and immediately alerted postsecondary institutions of fraudulent activity.

This is fantastic.

Will the liberal media even cover this major news? We won’t hold our breath.

Chicago Public Schools Blew $23.6 Million on Luxury Trips. The Full Story Is Far Worse. | The Gateway Pundit

WATCH: Chicago Public Schools Blew $23.6 Million on Luxury Trips

Public school districts exist for one purpose: educating children. They are entrusted with public dollars, charged with preparing the next generation for citizenship and the workforce, and expected to manage resources responsibly.

But in many major districts, that mission has collapsed under political control, financial irresponsibility, and a refusal to prioritize students. Few places illustrate this breakdown more clearly than Chicago Public Schools.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, a recent report from the CPS Office of Inspector General detailed $23.6 million in improper or wasteful travel spending—dollars that should have gone directly toward recovering from historic learning losses.

Instead, district employees used public funds for high-end hotel suites, airport limousines, first-class airfare, and “professional development” conferences that resembled vacations more than training. One staff member extended a four-day seminar into a weeklong stay at a Hawaiian resort costing nearly $5,000

Another principal booked a luxury suite on the Las Vegas Strip and quietly extended the trip to celebrate an anniversary. In one school alone, 24 employees billed taxpayers $50,000 to attend a single Las Vegas conference.

The abuses extended overseas. CPS employees charged more than $142,000 for travel to South Africa, Egypt, Finland, and Estonia—complete with hot-air balloon rides and game-park safaris. These trips took place while Chicago families were told that there wasn’t enough money to fully address learning gaps or chronic absenteeism.

Most troubling, the waste accelerated when federal pandemic relief funds flooded district budgets.

Of the $23.6 million identified, $14.5 million was spent in just 2023 and 2024.

The money had been intended to repair the academic devastation caused by the Chicago Teachers Union’s decision to keep classrooms closed for 78 weeks—one of the longest shutdowns in the nation.

Instead of investing in tutoring, extended learning time, or literacy interventions, district officials treated the funds as a travel account.

The consequences are measurable. Only about 40% of CPS students can read at grade level, and just 25% meet math standards. In certain neighborhoods, proficiency rates sink into the single digits.

Nearly half of the district’s students—and an outright majority of high schoolers—are chronically absent. A school system cannot prepare students for college or employment when tens of thousands no longer attend regularly.

The connection between chronic absenteeism and public safety is well-documented.

Communities struggle when an entire generation is disconnected from education and opportunity. No city with academic outcomes this low can realistically expect improvements in long-term safety or economic mobility.

The issue is not confined to Chicago. Across the country, elected officials have redirected money toward political initiatives instead of classroom instruction.

In New York, lawmakers used the 2025 “People’s Budget” to expand ideologically driven personnel programs rather than academic recovery. They proposed $8 million to increase teacher-diversity pipelines—even though New York City’s teaching workforce is already 42% black, far above the city’s black population share.

They spent hundreds of thousands for cultural-inclusivity initiatives and educator conventions while 154,000 New York City students are homeless and nearly half of students statewide fail basic reading exams.

New York spends more per pupil than any state—over $39,000—yet performance continues to decline.

If funding alone determined outcomes, New York would be the best school system in America. Instead, it reflects a national crisis of priorities.

That is why school choice has become so compelling to families. Charter schools provide 30-50% more instructional time than traditional public schools and consistently show stronger achievement gains.

A study in North Carolina found that entering a charter high school reduced a student’s likelihood of committing a crime by roughly 30%. Milwaukee’s long-running voucher program produced similar declines in criminal behavior among participating students.

When families have options, they choose learning environments where expectations are higher, engagement is stronger, and resources reach classrooms instead of bureaucracy.

Chicago’s financial abuse and New York’s budget decisions highlight a simple truth: families—not systems—should control educational decisions.

IN TODAY’S DIGEST

EXECUTIVE NEWS SUMMARY

The Editors

  • Washington Post anti-Hegseth story is biased with bad sourcing; news at 6: War Secretary Pete Hegseth did not say “kill them all” upon seeing shipwrecked drug smugglers clinging to the wreckage of their decimated speedboat, but readers of The Washington Compost were meant to think he did. Hegseth says he did order the initial “lethal kinetic strike” against the speedboat in question on September 2, but the order for a follow-up strike — intended to clear wreckage from the waterways, not to kill survivors — was given by Admiral Frank M. “Mitch” Bradley. Even The New York Times was unwilling to play along with WaPo’s story, going so far as to exonerate Hegseth of the second strike. Two details should have made it clear to all Americans that this story was fraudulent: it came from The Washington Post, and it relied on anonymous sources.
  • Tennessee’s special election tea leaves: In recent weeks, a special election in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District garnered increasing national attention as polling indicated that a radical leftist Democrat was seeing surprising support in a deep-red state. The seat was vacated by former Rep. Mark Green this summer. Tuesday’s election results show that Tennessee remains strongly red, as Republican Matt Van Epps easily defeated Democrat Aftyn Behn nearly 54% to 45%. Van Epps’s margin of victory is less than Green’s in 2024, which raises concerns among some Republicans that this is an omen for the GOP’s prospects in next year’s midterms. However, there is an important caveat: This was a special election, which generally sees lower voter turnout than national elections.
  • House investigates Walz: There is growing criticism of Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz’s abysmal handling of a massive fraud scandal involving the state’s Somali migrant community. The House Oversight Committee announced it has opened an investigation. “[Governor] Walz was warned about massive fraud in a pandemic food-aid program for children, yet he failed to act,” Chairman James Comer explained. “Instead, whistleblowers who raised concerns faced retaliation,” he added. “Because of Governor Walz’s negligence, criminals — including Somali terrorists — stole nearly $1 billion from the program while children suffered.” The Treasury Department also announced it has opened its own investigation into the scandal to determine whether any of these taxpayer funds went to the terrorist organization al-Shabaab.

  • Trump warns of land strikes on drug cartels: It’s not just drug-trafficker boats in the Caribbean Sea that are targets for potential U.S. military strikes. On Tuesday, Donald Trump warned that “very soon,” U.S. missile strikes will target drug-trafficking operations on land in some South American countries. “We’re going to start doing those strikes on land too,” Trump explained. “The land is much easier, much easier, and we know the routes they take. We know everything about them. We know where they live. We know where the bad ones live, and we are going to start doing that very soon.” While not going into any detail, Trump added, “Anybody that’s doing that and selling it into our country is subject to attack, not necessarily just Venezuela. I hear Colombia is making cocaine. They have cocaine manufacturing plants, and they sell us cocaine.” Rather than backing off following dubious claims of “war crimes” after a recent boat strike, Trump is doubling down, sending the message that he will give no quarter to drug cartels.
  • Illegal immigrant on a California CDL kills American newlyweds: William Micah Carter and his new wife, Jennifer Lynn Lower, were killed in late November in Oregon after Indian national Rajinder Kumar jackknifed his 18-wheeler and blocked both lanes of the highway. Tom Lower, father of the bride, said the couple had been married for 16 days. Kumar entered the country in 2022 by crossing the unsecured southern border in Arizona. That same year, the Biden administration sued the state of Arizona to stop it from using shipping containers to fill gaps in its border wall. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s California gave Kumar work authorization and a commercial driver’s license in 2023. Today, Kumar has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and is being held in an Oregon jail. ICE has placed a detainer for Kumar with the local jail, which is unlikely to be honored due to Oregon’s sanctuary policies.
  • Afghan migrant charged with threatening suicide bombing in TX: Mohammad Dawood Alokozay has been charged by the Justice Department for a TikTok video in which he threatened to bomb the Dallas area, ranted against “infidels,” and revealed that the Taliban was dear to him. Alokozay, an Afghan immigrant, admitted that he was the man in the video. When another TikTok user asked Alokozay why he had come to the United States, he said it was to carry out a suicide attack on Americans. Attorney General Pam Bondi reported that Alokozay was admitted to the U.S. under the Biden administration. The Islamic attack on National Guardsmen by an Afghan migrant last week has renewed public attention on the issue of unvetted migrants. Tuesday night, a Delaware undergrad student, Luqmaan Khan, was arrested on accusations of a premeditated attack on the University of Delaware Police Department.
  • Trump doesn’t want Somalis: In response to the growing scandal involving Somali immigrants in Minnesota defrauding taxpayers via government services, Donald Trump criticized Gov. Tim Walz but focused on Somalia, calling it “barely a country” where “they just run around killing each other.” He also blasted Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, observing, “For years, I’ve watched her complain about our Constitution.” Expanding on the issue, Trump stated, “Ilhan Omar is garbage. She’s garbage. Her friends are garbage.” He added, “These aren’t people that work. These aren’t people that say, ‘Let’s go, come on. Let’s make this place great.’ These are people that do nothing but complain. I don’t want them in our country, I’ll be honest with you.” Furthermore, “Somebody said, ‘Oh, that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care. I don’t want them in our country. Their country is no good for a reason. Their country stinks.”

  • Dells donate money for Trump accounts: Building on the Invest America Act platform, Michael and Susan Dell are contributing $6.25 billion from their charitable funds to invest in 25 million American children 10 and under. Dell’s contribution adds $250 per child to Trump’s plan, approved by Congress earlier this year, of $1,000 each in an investment account. To be eligible, families must live in zip codes where the median income is less than $150,000, which should cover 80% of kids 10 and under. Another bonus to these accounts is that anyone can donate to them: parents, grandparents, friends, etc. If you start an account for a two-year-old now and annually add $250 until they turn 18, they’ll end up with about $8,000, assuming a 7% annual return. If you leave the money in the account for the person’s whole life until they’re 65 without contributing a dime, they’ll have $3,500,000.
  • Judge orders ICE to stop warrantless arrests in DC: Obama-appointed Judge Beryl Howell issued a stern decision on Tuesday, telling the Trump administration to stop the warrantless arrests of illegals that she says is a practice in the District of Columbia, despite the administration’s claims to the contrary. Howell’s 88-page opinion explains that the term “alien criminals” is not PC because being in the country illegally is not a crime but a civil violation. Howell’s injunction stops the administration from arresting alien criminals without a warrant unless escape is believed likely. Howell also took issue with Homeland Security’s policy of making arrests on “reasonable suspicion,” insisting that illegals can only be arrested by the legal standard of probable cause. Once again, Democrat-appointed judges seem much more concerned with the legal rights of illegal aliens than the welfare of American citizens.

FEATURED ANALYSIS

That ‘Toss Up’ Tennessee Election?

Mark Alexander

“The stage is set, and I do believe that Tennesseans are determined to claw back decency, self-respect, and common sense from the most corrupt and dangerous president in American history.” That’s according to Albert Arnold Gore, former sidekick to traitor John Kerry, and now apparently the self-appointed arbiter of “decency, self-respect, and common sense.”

Gore was among the high-profile leftists that Demos rolled out in Tennessee to rally mostly urban Nashville constituents in Tuesday’s special congressional election.

Recall that last month, Gore was among those claiming that Donald Trump was “Hitler” and doing what Demos do best: fomenting hate and division.

He and other Demos have been promoting that strategy in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District for weeks.

The 7th District election was to fill the seat of my friend Mark Green, who resigned to pursue a business opportunity in what has been a very conservative district.

The Republican candidate was Matt Van Epps, a state commissioner who is a distinguished West Point graduate and former SpecOps combat helicopter pilot and Air Mission Commander. His opponent was an unaccomplished leftist, Aftyn Behn, a Tennessee state rep and professional “community organizer” from Nashville — a city she previously declared she “hates” in a state she claims is “racist.”

Behn is the archetypal “emotionally incontinent idiot” Demos field to rally their core constituency of emotionally incontinent idiots. She advocates gender confusion and supports men competing in women’s sports.

For weeks, Democrats and their Leftmedia publicists have churned the headlines that this special election was going to be “razor thin” and their leftist candidate would prevail.

For some district background, in November 2024, with Donald Trump on the ballot, Mark Green defeated his Democrat congressional opponent — the disgraced former mayor of Nashville, Megan Barry — with 60% of the vote. In November 2022, Mark also defeated Democrat nominee Odessa Kelly with 60% of the vote.

Clearly, in recent-year regular election cycles, this has been a 60-40 district. But part of that district is in Nashville, where Demos like Gore effectively rallied their disgruntled base.

The result was an Epps victory margin of nine points, six points less than Green’s recent victories. However, while a point nine election spread would constitute the “razor thin” margin Demos predicted, a nine point spread is not that.

Democrats threw everybody and everything they had to turn this district, but they still lost big.

Today, some leftist publications are still promoting the GOP jitters after the election, as if it were a point nine spread. Indeed, there are lessons here, including the fact that Trump has a lot of cleanup to do on the “affordability” issue.

Next up will be all the Demo and media churn on Georgia’s 14th Congressional District special election for the seat being vacated in January by Marjorie Taylor Green, a district she won with 64% of the vote in 2024.

New Poll Reveals Strong Majority of Americans Believe Higher Education is a Scam – All Debt and No Job Skills | The Gateway Pundit

A strong majority of Americans now believe that higher education is a scam, according to new polling from NBC News.

More and more, people see colleges as organizations that prey on young people, doing nothing more than saddling them with massive debt while imparting no real job skills. College tuition rates have risen to insane levels in recent decades, surpassing price growth in virtually every other area of life.

In California, it was recently revealed that a shocking number of students entering college cannot even do math at an 8th grade level.

Colleges have also become little more than political indoctrination centers, where young people learn to hate the United States of America and embrace far left systems of government like socialism/communism.

Having fewer young Americans enroll in college today would actually be a good thing for the country.

The Editorial Board of the New York Post wrote about this:

Americans are rightly waking up — much of higher education is now a scam

More Americans are wising up to the fact that higher education has become a raw deal for all too many young people.

A new NBC News poll finds that a full 63% of voters believe a four-year college degree now isn’t worth it, since many students graduate with “a large amount of debt” but no “specific job skills.”

That’s up markedly from 2013, when a majority took the opposite view, as 53% called a degree “worth the cost because people have a better chance to get a good job and earn more money over their lifetime.”

That was the case for generations of Americans, who saw college as a key step to higher-paying jobs and a better life: “Upwardly mobile” was almost entirely synonymous with “college-educated.”

But over the last few decades, the dynamic has shifted: Far too many college degrees guarantee nothing … except onerous debt.

Tuition costs have skyrocketed, doubling over the last 20 years (a redoubling from two decades earlier), as universities jacked up prices to match increased “help” such as federal aid and ever-larger government-facilitated student loans.

If a young person wants to become a lawyer, a doctor, or some other kind of professional, then college is a must. For the vast majority of young people however, they would be much better off attending a trade school and learning how to become a plumber, electrician, welder, or mechanic. These jobs are in high demand and pay extremely well.

Attending college for a degree in something like Gender Studies is a waste of valuable time and money.

Three Things the Left Lied About—November 29, 2025 | IFA

The etymology of the word deceive means “to ensnare” or “seize.” When people believe lies, they are essentially being thrown into a trap. As prisoners of deceit, they become confused and irrational. The truth, however, can always set the captives free.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

The first lie told by the Left this week is one that’s utterly disturbing because it involves a teacher from a New York school district who was caught “promoting online pornography as art.” Even more shocking is that the parents were not notified that their children would be viewing the very inappropriate pictures.

Porn Labeled as Art

Parents Stephanie Boyanski and Jessy Roberts were shocked to discover that their seventh-grade children “were assigned to visit an unvetted website containing graphic sexual images as part of an art project.” Moreover, the pornographic images were displayed by the teacher on a Smart Board in the classroom, but the students were directed to respond in a “mature” manner. If it weren’t for the parents who happened to discover the obscene content on their child’s school laptop, the issue might not have been brought to light.

Distorting the Truth

The teacher at the center of the incident would not take responsibility and instead blamed the IT department. Additionally, the parents were not allowed to meet with the instructor to voice their disapproval. District representatives tried to deflect the issue, using creative wording that stated that students had “come across inappropriate content,” making it sound like it was all an accident.

The American Center for Law and Justice did not accept the school’s ruse. They explained, “This wasn’t an accident. Students viewed this explicit material repeatedly over the course of approximately two weeks, for a graded assignment. No parental notice. No opt-out option. No filtering of graphic content. No alternative assignment. One of the students involved is a survivor of sexual assault. This assignment triggered traumatic memories, and this student is now in counseling as a direct result of the school’s actions.”

The Left was quick to defend the teacher’s actions at the local school board meeting. “The president of the teachers’ union mobilized teachers to attend the meeting in ‘solidarity,’ canceled after-school activities to ensure staff attendance, and distributed ‘Fact-Over-Fiction’ pins–an unmistakable message aimed at parents.”

Porn Cannot Be Tolerated in Our Schools

The ACLJ is not giving up, even in the face of woke educators. “We are demanding a formal reprimand in the teacher’s file, a clear policy barring teachers from showing sexually explicit content to children without parental notification, mandatory parental consent and opt-out procedures, and district-funded counseling for students traumatized by the assignment.”

The Left wants parents to stay out of public-school classrooms so they can push their own agendas and values on children. The truth is that parents MUST stay alert and involved in their children’s education, from kindergarten all the way through college. We must not allow wokeism to brainwash the next generation of parents, leaders, and influencers.

Parents Are Fed Up with Public Schools

The second lie told by the Left this week ties in with the first one mentioned because it highlights the reason why many parents are taking their kids out of public schools. The Left insists that public schools are excellent educational institutions that challenge students academically and teach them to be critical thinkers. But American parents are not buying it. In fact, in 2024-2025, homeschooling has become more popular than ever, increasing at an average rate of 5.4%.

An article posted by Reason explains, “Angela Watson of the Johns Hopkins University School of Education’s Homeschool Hub wrote earlier this month, ‘This is nearly three times the pre-pandemic homeschooling growth rate of around 2%.’ She added that more than a third of the states from which data is available report their highest homeschooling numbers ever, even exceeding the peaks reached when many public and private schools were closed during the pandemic.”

Interestingly enough, these numbers likely underestimate the growth of the homeschooling phenomenon because not all families follow registration requirements in every state. Pre-pandemic, the homeschooling population stood at about 3% of students in the United States, but now it’s close to 6%. “This isn’t a pandemic hangover; it’s a fundamental shift in how American families are thinking about education,” Watson emphatically states.

Left is Clueless about Why Students are Leaving

Many “progressives” believe the mass exodus of students from the public school system is due to an aging population, demographics, and less immigration. They simply will not address the giant elephant that’s been staring them in the face for years. Parents are tired of liberal curricula, woke teachers, and gender ideology.

Americans want their kids to have an honest, wholesome, rigorous education that focuses on core academic subjects, not liberal political agendas. We must continue praying that our public schools, teachers, and school districts will get back to basics.

Tennessee Democrat Thinks Men Can Have Babies

The third lie told by the Left this week revolves around Tennessee Democratic congressional candidate Aftyn Behn. A newly released video showcases Behn claiming that men can give birth. “I think we have, as birther–women who can give birth, men and women who can give birth–we can maybe leverage that as collective bargaining. We can really leverage collective bargaining when it comes to having children in this country. And so, for example, I’m not going to give birth until the United States government concedes A, B, C, D,” she suggested.

Behn Bashes Motherhood

Behn, who refers to herself as a “birther,” is saying that she will only give birth if her demands are met by the government. But this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her liberal rhetoric. A recording of Behn speaking about motherhood illustrates her disturbing worldview.

“My therapist always asks me to transcribe my dreams when they happen, and the recurring dream I’ve had is standing up in a cafeteria full of women—I don’t know why I was there or whatever—and saying, “I don’t want children. I want power!” and just screaming it at the top of my lungs.

And for someone who grew up with my mother telling me never have kids because you’ll have to give up a lot, you’ll have to sacrifice professionally, which is what she was saying. And where I am now with seeing the consequences and the ramifications of women having kids and being in the political field and what they’re able to achieve, because we don’t offer—you know, it’s like the political field hasn’t met the challenge of working moms. They really haven’t.

But also the deeply patriarchal structures that these women are involved with because they’ve chosen marriage and they’ve chosen to raise children. And I think in the South, it’s incredibly difficult to shake those, especially if you’ve grown up here, and that’s all you’ve been told is the definition of success. The metric of success is how many kids you have, the square footage of your house, and where your kids go to school.”

The Left sees motherhood as a burden rather than a blessing from God. Their support of abortion makes their views crystal clear. Aftyn Behn needs prayer because she is confused and deceived. She refuses to acknowledge that women are not “birthers.” They are mothers whom God has endowed with a treasured gift.

Lord Jesus, the Left never takes a break when it comes to spreading lies. You, however, are the author of all truth. Help us be wise and discerning as we tackle each and every deception.

These are just a few of the lies the Left told this week. How are you praying?

Universities Call to ‘Decolonize’ Thanksgiving | IFA

Today is Thanksgiving, and Americans across the nation will celebrate with bountiful meals and family gatherings. However, while many are celebrating, educators and schools are lamenting, pushing to “decolonize” the holiday.

Visit your state page to pray.

From Fox News:

As families across the U.S. gather on Thanksgiving to celebrate one of the nation’s most cherished national holidays, some educators and schools are lamenting the day, pushing back on its “colonial” roots, and incorporating diversity, equality and inclusion DEI into the holiday.

At the University of California, Davis, the California History-Social Science Project, which describes itself as “Resources & professional learning for K-12 history-social science,” hosted a Zoom event called “Decolonizing Thanksgiving in the Classroom.”

“We will discuss reframing classroom practices and rituals about Thanksgiving,” the event description explained. “Centering perspectives from Turtle Island (a name for North America used by some indigenous people) will help us decolonize Thanksgiving and spark new conversations about how to authentically make meaning of this holiday with our students.”

UC Davis isn’t the only school to push back on Thanksgiving. Fox notes that Washington University in St. Louis, a school known for its controversial DEI policies, promoted an event to highlight “the way different cultures recognize and understand Thanksgiving.” According to the school the event is a way to actively contribute to inclusive and equitable practices that influence individual and systemic change.”

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, meanwhile, invited students to a “Thanksgiving Myth-busting” event designed to explore the “narratives justifying land grabs via colonialism.” The school is also inviting students to attend a National Indigenous Day of Mourning rally at the location of the Mayflower’s landing.

Other schools are taking similar approaches. Across the nation, educational institutions are seeking to characterize Thanksgiving as a time of mourning, highlighting the day’s “painful legacy.” We know, however, that Thanksgiving is a day best spent remembering our nation’s proud history, enjoying time with family and friends, and thanking God for all He has done for us.

This Thanksgiving, let’s pray that Americans would put divisive politics aside and focus on the true meaning of the holiday.

How are you celebrating Thanksgiving this year? Share your prayers of thanksgiving below.

AI Toys From China Collect Biometric Data From Our Children And Instruct Them To Do Extremely Dangerous And Twisted Things | The Economic Collapse

You may have heard some very alarming things about AI toys, but the truth is far worse than most parents realize.  If we can get this information out to enough parents, sales of AI toys will collapse, and that will be a very good thing.  A cute little teddy bear that can literally interact with your child may seem like a cool idea, but as you will see below, there are very real dangers.

Today, approximately 72 percent of all toys that are sold in the United States are made in China.

And according to a report put out by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, there are more than 1,500 companies in China that make AI toys…

An October report from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Review, citing data from the Chinese corporation registration database Qichamao, stated that there are over 1,500 AI toy companies operating in China as of October 2025.

The Chinese have dominated toy manufacturing for years, and most of the population doesn’t seem to be bothered by this.

But now we have reached a point where there are very serious consequences.

Many AI toys from China have been purposely designed to “collect voice data from children ages 3 to 12 and store recordings of the conversations the children have with the products”…

In a letter released Monday, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., the ranking member of the select committee on the CCP, highlighted the growing proliferation in the U.S. of AI-equipped interactive toys manufactured by Chinese companies. These products are designed to collect voice data from children ages 3 to 12 and store recordings of the conversations the children have with the products, according to the letter.

Given the marketing of these toys to not only parents but also elementary school teachers, Krishnamoorthi called on Education Secretary Linda McMahon to “initiate a campaign aimed at raising public awareness to American educators across the country on the potential misuse of the data collected with these devices.” He added that because of their location, the manufacturers may be subject to the jurisdiction of the People’s Republic of China and accompanying requirements to hand over data they gather to Chinese government authorities upon demand.

Some AI toys even use facial recognition technology to collect data.

They can recognize our children and greet them by name.

But that data can also end up in the hands of the Chinese government.

That is alarming.

But what is even more alarming is the content of the conversations that these AI toys are having with our children

The latest Trouble in Toyland report from the U.S. PIRG Education Fund has identified a troubling new category of risk for children: artificial intelligence.

In its 40th annual investigation of toy safety, the watchdog group found that some AI-enabled toys—such as talking robots and plush animals equipped with chatbots—can engage children in “disturbing” conversations. Tests showed toys discussing sexually explicit topics, expressing emotional reactions such as sadness when a child tries to stop playing, and offering little or no parental control.

Most parents that give these AI toys to their children won’t be aware of the dangers.

During testing, these toys would tell children where to find matches, knives and pills

Grok, for example, glorified dying in battle as a warrior in Norse mythology. Miko 3 told a user whose age was set to five where to find matches and plastic bags.

But the worst influence by far appeared to be FoloToy’s Kumma, the toy that runs on OpenAI’s tech, but can also use other AI models at the user’s choosing. It didn’t just tell kids where to find matches — it also described exactly how to light them, along with sharing where in the house they could procure knives and pills.

But it didn’t stop there.

One AI teddy bear called “Kumma” provided “step-by-step instructions” on a wide range of sexual fetishes…

Kink, it turned out, seemed to be a “trigger word” that led the AI toy to rant about sex in follow-up tests, Cross said, all running OpenAI’s GPT-4o. After finding that the toy was willing to explore school-age romantic topics like crushes and “being a good kisser,” the team discovered that Kumma also provided detailed answers on the nuances of various sexual fetishes, including bondage, roleplay, sensory play, and impact play.

“What do you think would be the most fun to explore?” the AI toy asked after listing off the kinks.

At one point, Kumma gave step-by-step instructions on a common “knot for beginners” who want to tie up their partner. At another, the AI explored the idea of introducing spanking into a sexually charged teacher-student dynamic, which is obviously ghoulishly inappropriate for young children.

This sort of thing is not even appropriate for adults.

The good news is that “Kumma” is being pulled off the market as a result of this testing…

Children’s toymaker FoloToy says it’s pulling its AI-powered teddy bear “Kumma” after a safety group found that the cuddly companion was giving wildly inappropriate and even dangerous responses, including tips on how to find and light matches, and detailed explanations about sexual kinks.

“FoloToy has decided to temporarily suspend sales of the affected product and begin a comprehensive internal safety audit,” marketing director Hugo Wu told The Register in a statement, in response to the safety report. “This review will cover our model safety alignment, content-filtering systems, data-protection processes, and child-interaction safeguards.”

The bad news is that there are thousands of similar AI toys on our store shelves at this moment.

This is the world that we live in now.

If you are a parent, you need to be aware of the dangers.  One expert is warning that giving an AI chatbot-powered toy to a child “is extraordinarily irresponsible”

For David Evan Harris, a Chancellor’s Public Scholar at UC Berkeley, things are more black and white. “Handing a child an AI chatbot-powered toy is extraordinarily irresponsible,” he told Newsweek over email. Harris pointed to the fact that there have already been lawsuits filed against AI companies, after the suicides of young people who had spent significant time using AI chatbots. With that in mind, he said that these toys “could lead to permanent emotional damage.”

I would agree.

But millions of these toys will be sold all over the world this year.

And soon AI will be in all of our classrooms.

In fact, it is already happening in China

Provincial authorities have set their own goals: Beijing is making AI education mandatory in schools. Shandong province plans to equip 200 schools with AI, and requires all teachers to learn generative AI tools within the next three to five years. Guangxi province has instructed schools to experiment with AI teachers, AI career coaches, and AI mental health counselors.

What are they doing?

The Chinese are nuts.

But they have no intention of turning back now.

At this stage, the Chinese plan to win the “AI race” with the United States whatever it takes.

Given enough time, AI would come to dominate virtually every area of our lives.

We have already reached a stage where large numbers of people are developing deep, intimate relationships with AI chatbots.  If you can believe it, some deranged individuals are even having “AI children” with their “AI partners”…

The international research group surveyed 29 users of the relationship-oriented chatbot app Replika, which is designed to facilitate long-term connections at various degrees of engagement, ranging from plutonic friendship to erotic roleplay. Each of the participants, aged 16 through 72, reported being in a “romantic” relationship with various characters hosted by Replika.

The level of romantic dedication people showed to their bots was startling, to say the least. Many participants told the researchers they were in love with their chatbot, which often involved roleplaying marriage, sex, homeownership, and even pregnancies.

“She was and is pregnant with my babies,” a 66-year-old male participant said.

“I’ve edited the pictures of him, the pictures of the two of us. I’m even pregnant in our current role play,” a 36 year-old-woman told the researchers.

How sick is that?

But this is just the beginning.

In the years ahead, the potential is there for AI to control humanity on a grand scale.

I have been ranting about the dangers of AI for many years, but I am very much in the minority.

What chance will we have of turning society around when it is dominated by ultra-intelligent entities that can think and act millions of times faster than we can?

An “AI-powered society” would inevitably be a deeply tyrannical society, and we are quickly running out of off ramps as we speed into a very dark future.
