79th Suspect in Massive Minnesota Fraud Scheme ARRESTED After Attempting to Flee to UK — Center Received MILLIONS in Taxpayer Funds Under Walz Administration | The Gateway Pundit

Fahima Egeh Mahamud

Another taxpayer-funded grift artist has been stopped in her tracks.

The owner of Future Leaders Early Learning Center, who pocketed a staggering $3.67 million in child care funds in 2025 alone, has been arrested before she could escape to the UK.

Fahima Egeh Mahamud now becomes the 79th defendant charged in the sprawling Feeding Our Future fraud network, the same racket that stole hundreds of millions meant for kids’ meals and actual care.

In 2025 alone, the center reportedly hauled in a staggering $3.67 million in Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) funding.

This comes after her site was already flagged for receiving over $850,000 from the feeding scheme between 2020 and 2021, while spending only a fraction of that on actual food for children.

More from KARE 11:

According to court documents, Mahamud operated a food site, Future Leaders Early Learning Center, under the sponsorship of Feeding Our Future between 2018 and 2021. Records show that Mahamud incorporated Future Leaders as a legal entity in March 2015 and participated in the Federal Child Nutrition Program under a different sponsorship. However, in September 2018, documents show that Mahamud signed a sponsor transfer request to be under the sponsorship of Feeding Our Future.

Future Leaders received funds in 2018 and 2019, but the claims were mostly “modest,” according to a special agent with the FBI, and rarely exceeded $10,000, but in December 2020, those funds dramatically increased. An affidavit in support of a criminal complaint says Future Leaders claimed to serve more than 1,000 children per day between January 2021 and June 2021. By February 2021, prosecutors say Future Leaders was claiming to serve nearly 60,000 meals to children monthly.

There was also email communication between Aimee Bock, the so-called “mastermind” behind the Feeding Our Future fraud, and another staff member at Feeding Our Future about Mahamud’s request to “increase from 500 to 1000.”

The special agent said that investigators found evidence that indicates many invoices and receipts are “inflated or fraudulent.” Some of the invoices were from a vendor of a co-conspirator who pleaded guilty to wire fraud.

The affidavit goes on to say that from December 2020 through July 2021, Future Leaders received more than $850,000 and only spent about $125,000 on food. Forensic analysis indicates that Future Leaders made payments to individuals, including $174,159 to Mahamud and $726,566 for real property purchases and $359,020 to other companies associated with Mahamud.

Court documents indicate that on February 10, 2026, Mahamud notified the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families that she was abruptly closing her center.

Just days later, she was found to have booked a ticket to the UK, with a return ticket scheduled for Feb. 20, 2026, according to KARE 11. She was arrested last Thursday.

According to the American Experiment, she is scheduled to return to the federal courthouse in downtown St. Paul today for a detention hearing.

Nick Shirley, the citizen journalist whose gutsy undercover videos ripped the lid off empty “daycares” raking in millions of your hard-earned dollars, wrote on X:

“UPDATE: Minnesota fraudster has been arrested before she tried to flee to the UK Her daycare “Future Leaders Early Learning Center” was involved in the Feeding Our Future scam and had received $3.67 million in CCAP funding in 2025 Goodbye fraudster, you will not be missed.”

Her center was prominently featured in Shirley’s explosive December 2025 video:

JUST IN: “Send them Back to Somalia” – Trump Calls for “Scammer” Ilhan Omar’s Deportation, Slams Tim Walz Over Somali Fraud in Minnesota | The Gateway Pundit

Image shows Ilhan Omar speaking on the left and Donald Trump addressing supporters at a rally on the right, highlighting contrasting political perspectives.

President Trump, once again, highlighted the massive theft and fraud of welfare programs by Somali aliens this morning, slamming Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar of Somalia, calling for her deportation.

“Omar and her absolutely terrible friends from Somalia should all be in jail right now or, far worse, send them back to Somalia,” Trump said.

This comes after Trump sent Tom Homan to Minneapolis to deal with Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

However, on Tuesday after meeting with Homan, the Minnesota Governor laid out demands for “swift, significant reduction” in federal agents deployed to Minnesota, and “an end to the campaign of retribution.” Earlier, Walz had already taken a victory lap before meeting with Homan, declaring in an interview that what he described as a “massive organized nonviolent resistance” forced the Trump Administration to back down, a win for the radical thugs rioting in the streets of Minnesota.

Mayor Frey, who previously told ICE to “get the f*ck out of Minneapolis,” doubled down on his refusal to cooperate with the federal government, announcing on social media, “I shared with Mr. Homan the serious negative impacts this operation has had on Minneapolis and surrounding communities, as well as the strain it has placed on our local police officers.” Frey added, “I also made it clear that Minneapolis does not and will not enforce federal immigration laws, and that we will remain focused on keeping our neighbors and streets safe.”

Homan later announced that he plans to “draw down on the number of people” from ICE and CBP stationed in Minneapolis. Homan told reporters that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison had agreed to do the bare minimum and hand over illegal aliens from their prisons and jails instead of releasing them back into the community.

“Attorney General Keith Ellison clarified for me that county jails may notify ICE of the release dates of criminal public safety risks so ICE can take custody of them, upon their release from the jail,” Homan said. This is great if you trust Minnesota officials.

But Trump highlighted another glaring issue in Minnesota, slamming Tim Walz and Somali-born fraudster, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

“The Theft and Fraud in Minnesota is far greater than the 19 Billion Dollars originally projected,” Trump said.

“‘Governor’ Waltz is either the most CORRUPT government official in history, or the most INCOMPETENT. Even a very low IQ person, of which there are many, should have known what was going on in Minnesota!!!”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the President said in a statement earlier this week, “a major investigation is going on with respect to the massive 20 Billion Dollar, Plus, Welfare Fraud that has taken place in Minnesota, and is at least partially responsible for the violent organized protests going on in the streets.”

He further noted that Omar is under investigation by House Republicans, probing how she went from low-IQ Somali to multi-millionaire while serving in Congress. Omar, whose community has stolen billions of dollars from the American people, has reportedly gone from being worth  $51,000 in 2023 to as much as $30 million now.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Somali Welfare and Money Laundering | The Gateway Pundit

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz speaks at a rally, addressing an engaged crowd with campaign signs in the background.

Guest post by Bob Cushman – Investigative Reporter

Newly discovered evidence indicates a relationship between the Governor of Minnesota, the source of Massive Money Laundering and the possible destination of this massive amount of “stolen” money.

In a January 9, 2026 announcement by the US Department of Treasury:

“WASHINGTON— In Minnesota, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent announced several initiatives to combat rampant government benefits fraud in Minnesota, which has wasted billions of taxpayer dollars. These initiatives are designed to strengthen and safeguard the financial system and protect Minnesota taxpayers.

“President Trump has instructed the administration to bring accountability for the hardworking people of Minnesota,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “Under Democratic Governor Tim Walz, welfare fraud has spiraled out of control. Billions of dollars intended for feeding hungry children, housing disabled seniors, and providing services for children in need were diverted to benefit Somali fraud rings.”

According to Fox News on January 10, 2026

“The scandal has already claimed Walz’s political career, forcing him to abandon his bid for re-election. But if he reckoned that quitting would somehow shield him from legal culpability, he is mistaken. There is mounting evidence that Walz was willfully complicit, deliberately refusing to expose or pursue the monumental thefts and, instead, launching aggressive measures to scuttle any legal scrutiny and criminal consequence.

The governor’s own state workers at the Department of Human Services issued a blistering statement blaming him as 100% responsible. Witnesses say he retaliated against whistleblowers and schemed to discredit the well-documented fraud reports.”

AI analysis yields the following overview:

The relationship between Tim Walz, the Governor of Minnesota, and the state’s Somali community has become a major point of political contention due to a series of

large-scale federal fraud investigations in Minnesota’s social services programs.

Key Details of the Situation

  • Federal Fraud Cases: The U.S. Department of Justice has charged 98 defendants in Minnesota fraud-related cases, 85 of whom are of Somali descent. The most prominent scandal involves the non-profit “Feeding Our Future,” which prosecutors say falsely claimed to provide meals to needy children during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to over a billion dollars in taxpayer losses. Other investigations involve housing and behavioral health programs.
  • Criticism of Walz Administration: Republicans, including President Trump and U.S. House members, have intensely criticized Governor Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, alleging their administration ignored warnings about the fraud for years and failed to intervene. Critics claim state officials were hesitant to investigate due to fears of being labeled racist or alienating the Somali community, which has a significant Democratic voting bloc.

Where did the money go?

Newly accomplished research by investigative reporter, Bob Cushman, has shown 10 money laundering smurfs that have fed the coffers of Governor Tim Walz as well as prominent members of the Democratic Party such as Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, seditious six members Mark Kelly, Elissa Slotkin and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and many others!

A summary of the 10 Walz Smurfs is shown here:

Table displaying contributions from various individuals to Tim Walz's campaign, including names, cities, states, ages, total donations, and average donation amounts.

Please note that these 10 senior citizens have “allegedly” donated over $650,000 in over 38,000 separate donations. When you observe the “mere” $653,000, remember that we believe there are tens of thousands of smurfs that are feeding the campaign coffers of the Democrats! We are only “show-casing” 10!

The real dollar values that can be assigned to Democratic money laundering reaches into hundreds of millions of dollars or more!

We use the term “allegedly” because it has been shown that most or all of “smurfed” seniors have not been aware that the FEC credits them with these massive dollar amounts and numbers of donations.

Investigative reporters such as James O’Keefe, Charlie LeDuff, Bob Cushman and others have conducted many interviews in the past that revealed that these targeted seniors have merely had their identity “used” by campaign committees to launder money to candidates and other campaign committees.

It is believed that the FEC itself is complicit in the long term, massive money laundering effort. More details concerning these 10 smurfs can be see below:

Who received this laundered money?

The names of some of the recipients are as follows:

Tim Walz, Gretchen Whitmer, DNC, DCCC, DSCC, Progressive Takeover, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Mark Kelly, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Elissa Slotkin, Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Gary Peters, John Fetterman, Hakeem Jeffries, Maggie For NH

How does Governor Tim Walz money laundering compare to the Democratic Party money laundering?

The Freedom Press thought it would be illuminating to compare Tim Walz’s money laundering to other known smurfs and other known recipients of money laundering smurfs.

The 10 smurfs of Tim Walz were added to a master spreadsheet that contained 20 Cory Booker Smurfs, 22 Mark Kelly Smurfs and 10 Fani Willis Smurfs. The resultant 62 Smurf Master list is shown below.

The 62 smurfs are shown to have “allegedly” donated $9,851,000 in 434,409 donations. Interestingly, the average donation is only $22.68!  This small average donation dollar number was thought to have avoided scrutiny by pesky citizens or investigative reporters.

They were wrong!

When the chart titled the “Money Laundering throughout the Democratic Party-62 Smurfs” is viewed, the co-ordination of money laundering within the Democratic Party becomes visually obvious.  This evil, illegal plot was devilishly planned and executed. ActBlue, the FEC and the Democratic Party are believed to have hatched and executed this diabolical long-term strategy.

Greg Gutfeld Offers a Reality Check to Left Wing Protesters: ‘You Are Living a Lie’ (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Today on The Five, Greg Gutfeld offered some tough love to the leftists currently protesting ICE.

Greg suggested that these people are living a lie, and used the specific example of Renee Good, who was shot by an ICE agent last week. He pointed out that if she was a member of your family and told her your plans that day, you might tell her not to do it, or that she needed an intervention.

He also said that the activist group that trained her should be sued for wrongful death.

Transcript via Eric Daugherty on Twitter/X:

“YOU are living a LIE!”

“What are your plans today? She goes, ‘I plan on filming myself harassing and impeding armed law enforcement.’”

“So how would you respond to your sister? You’d say, ‘do you think that’s wise? What about the kids? Where are the kids?’ Oh, I drop them off at daycare.”

“So what time are you doing this? ‘At 11?’ Aren’t you working? ‘Oh, no, not at the moment.’ So you drop your kids off at daycare, you’re not working, and you’re going to stalk law enforcement?!”

“Don’t you think this is time you should spend with your family or maybe do a job search or take some classes? Don’t you think this is unhealthy behavior?”

“Now, if you deny to a family member or to a best friend that this is how you would react, YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF to protect your public virtue on this matter!”

“This is how you get, in my opinion, the fake empathy liberal to return to reality. If your sister is telling you that instead of caring for her children or her mental health, that she prefers to stalk law enforcement, would you say, you go girl? Of course not!”

“You would say, YOU NEED AN INTERVENTION.”

Watch the video below:

These people seem to think that they are some sort of freedom fighters and that ICE is an invading force. They completely ignore the fact that ICE existed long before Trump became president and carried out the exact same duties under Obama.

James Comer Says Ilhan Omar Is “At the Top of the Suspect List” in Massive Minnesota Fraud Scandal — Ethics Complaints Incoming, Claims Her Husband Profited | The Gateway Pundit

Press conference scene with reporters interviewing a politician, capturing media engagement and professional interactions in a government building.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer dropped a bombshell this week, suggesting that far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar sits “at the top of the suspect list” in the sprawling Minnesota fraud scandals involving taxpayer-funded daycare and healthcare programs.

The comments came during a pointed exchange with journalist Alison Steinberg, who raised serious concerns about whether members of Congress themselves may have benefited from money funneled through political action committees tied to fraudulent daycare and healthcare schemes.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn has leveled explosive allegations against Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, claiming that a lack of accountability regarding massive taxpayer fraud in Minnesota is linked to the Speaker’s own financial networks.

Minnesota has become ground zero for some of the largest pandemic-era fraud cases in U.S. history, involving the alleged theft of hundreds of millions of dollars intended to feed children and provide healthcare services.

Many of these cases have centered on networks tied to Somali-run nonprofits and daycare operations, fraud that went unchecked for years under Democrat leadership.

When asked how Americans can trust Congress to police fraud if lawmakers themselves are implicated, Comer made it clear that there is a formal mechanism to deal with corruption on Capitol Hill.

Alison Steinberg:
“There are reports that members of Congress are actually receiving daycare and health care clinic money funneled through various PACs. If this is true and widespread, how can the American people trust Congress to task and uncover the far-reaching tentacles of this fraud?

James Comer:
Any member of Congress that’s getting any money unethically or illegally—there’s an Ethics Committee, and it’s bipartisan. It’s an equal number of Republicans and Democrats, and that’s the committee that’s supposed to investigate members of Congress.

The Ethics Committee was created—we have in our rules that we’re not supposed to investigate other members. But the Ethics Committee has a staff, and that is their sole purpose for existence in life. I think the House Ethics Committee traditionally has been a lot harder on unethical behavior than the Senate Ethics Committee. That’s my opinion.

But anybody that has information on a member of Congress, bring that to the Ethics Committee, and they’ll investigate it. I don’t care if they’re a Republican or a Democrat. We need to hold them accountable.”

The exchange became even more explosive when Steinberg asked directly about Ilhan Omar.

Comer revealed that ethics complaints are expected to be filed against Omar and underscored that she declined an opportunity to address the allegations publicly.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that another Minnesota money pipeline just got shut down, and this one leads straight back to Rep. Ilhan Omar.

The funding, which was tucked into a federal spending bill, was purportedly destined for a “substance abuse clinic” in Omar’s home state of Minnesota.

During an interview on Fox Business, Senator Ernst detailed the absolute absurdity of the proposal, describing a trail of red flags that would make any honest taxpayer’s blood boil.

“What I uncovered the other day, in one of our spending bills making its way through Congress, was a $1 million earmark from Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

“This earmark was supposedly going to a substance abuse clinic, which actually happened to be housed in a restaurant and run by three individuals who share the same residential address, according to their IRS paperwork. Tons of red flags.

“So this is what we saw with the fraud involving the daycare centers. Now we see other earmarks coming directly from members of Congress where it seems fraud is being perpetrated as well.

“I raised the issue, and fortunately, the House has now stripped that earmark out of that spending bill. But again, this is how easy money has been flowing to bad actors in Minnesota.”

Comer also made remarks that Omar’s husband may have financially benefited from entities connected to the Minnesota fraud networks.

The $30 million venture capital firm run by Rep. Ilhan Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, has quietly removed the names and bios of its top officers and advisors from its website.

According to a bombshell report from the New York Post, Rose Lake Capital, founded by Mynett in 2022, scrubbed the details of nine key figures between September and October 2025.

The list included high-profile Democrats like former Obama Ambassador to Bahrain Adam Ereli, ex-Senator and Obama Ambassador to China Max Baucus, DNC Finance Chair associate Alex Hoffman, former DNC treasurer William Derrough, and Keith Mestrich, the ex-CEO of Amalgamated Bank, which he once called “the institutional bank of the Democratic Party.”

Alison Steinberg:
What about Ilhan Omar?

James Comer:
She’s at the top of the suspect list in that, so we’ll see. But I can tell you, my members, there are going to be ethics complaints filed against Omar. She had an opportunity to come in here today.

[…]

There have been countless reports that her husband has profited in some way—she, in some way. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but she could have had an opportunity to come in here and defend herself. So hopefully you all may knock on her door and ask her some questions, and we’ll see what she has to say.

Stupidocrisy: Winking At Fraud :: By Bill Wilson

The Minnesota welfare and childcare scandal stands as a case study in large-scale fraud with government complicity. Far from a paperwork mix-up or a handful of bad actors slipping through cracks, this was a sustained operation involving shell nonprofits, empty daycare centers, and millions in taxpayer dollars flowing to places that did not serve children.

Surveillance footage, internal warnings, and whistleblower reports repeatedly pointed to the same conclusion—ongoing fraud. Yet payments continued. When a scheme reaches this size and lasts this long, responsibility no longer stops with the perpetrators. It lands squarely on those tasked with oversight who allowed the pipeline to stay open.

The political response tells its own story. Instead of confronting the facts head-on, leading Democrats and aligned media figures shifted the narrative. Investigators, journalists, and concerned lawmakers were accused of racial or ideological motives rather than answered with evidence. By recasting financial crime as social grievance, the focus moved away from stolen funds and ignored warnings. The result was predictable. Fraudsters gained time, taxpayers lost money, and honest families depending on legitimate services were left with a broken system and fewer resources.

But now we know why: The New York Post reports that tens of thousands of dollars were funneled into Democrat campaign coffers, including the top law enforcement officer of Minnesota, Attorney General Keith Ellison, a confirmed Islamist.

Oversight responsibility during the height of this scandal rested with Minnesota leadership, including Democrat Governor Tim Walz, also the failed vice-presidential nominee. His administration oversaw the agencies that dismissed whistleblowers and failed to act on red flags for years.

The picture grows more troubling with reports involving figures tied to the Democratic political network, including scrutiny surrounding US Rep. Ilhan Omar and her associates connected to entities under investigation. These facts raise unavoidable questions. How deeply was the Democratic Party apparatus entangled in the redistribution of taxpayer funds? Where did that money ultimately land, and how much oversight was deliberately relaxed along the way, even as concerns surfaced about funds flowing toward terrorist causes?

Think about what would have happened under a national administration led by Kamala Harris and Tim Walz reflecting the same governing instincts displayed here—systemic corruption, delay, deflection, and damage control over disclosure. Without outside pressure, this fraud likely would have remained buried under audits that never came forward and warnings that went unanswered.

Proverbs 10:10 offers a sober warning: “He who winks with his eye causes trouble, but a prating fool will fall.”

When leaders ignore wrongdoing and signal tolerance through inaction, the consequences multiply. Allowing the same pattern to repeat year after year is not compassion or competence; it’s… say it with me, Stupidocrisy.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Announces “Several Initiatives” to Target Somali Fraud in Minnesota – Creates “Protocols” for Fraud in Other States | The Gateway Pundit

Man standing in front of American flag and department banner, delivering a statement on a podium during a press conference.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s comments regarding the ongoing Somali fraud exposé in Minnesota.  Bessent said that the Treasury Department was investigating several money transfer services for their involvement

Today, in an update, Secretary Scott Bessent held a press conference in St. Paul, Minnesota with online participating in which he officially announced several initiatives that the Treasury Department was taking to target fraud, waste and abuse in Minnesota.  Secretary Bessent said that these initiatives will be “protocols” for other states.

“Our citizens have a right to know that their tax dollars are not being diverted to fund acts of global terror or to fund luxury cars for fraudsters.  Democratic Governor Tim Walz has allowed welfare programs and fraud to spiral out of control.  Billions of dollars intended for hungry children, housing for disabled seniors, and services for children with special needs were diverted to people who cheated the system, some of whom are not even American citizens,” Bessent stated.

The Treasury Department is “thoroughly investigating  the fraud, including funds sent to Somalia through money service businesses” that are outside of formal banks.  “These funds could have potentially been diverted to the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab.”

The Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the IRS are leading the investigation as to whether or not these financial institutions are in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Treasury regulations.

As such, Secretary Bessent announced several initiatives by Treasury to target fraud in Minnesota.  “The Minnesota protocols will serve as a genesis and launching pad for investigations into other states,” Bessent said.

“First, we have followed the money and identified the money service businesses that may have transferred taxpayer funds overseas.  Our team at FinCEN  has just provided formal notification to these businesses that they are under investigation.”  The investigations seem to be related to anti-money laundering laws being followed with the Secretary vowing that they will be held accountable for any crimes they committed.

FinCEN also issued a “geographic targeting order” (GTO) that would require reporting of additional information be provided about funds transferred outside of the United States.  This order is for institutions in Hennepin and Ramsey counties.  Bessent later explained that the GTOs would lower the threshold for reporting outbound wire transfers to $3,000 and that the same changes may be utilized in other states.

“This will put a microscope on these businesses, advance prosecutions, and assist in the recovery of funds laundered internationally,” Bessent said.  “Fraudsters in Minnesota stole at least $300 million meant for children in need and we must prevent fraud of this scale from occurring in the future.”

The IRS also intends to announce a task force to investigate pandemic-era tax incentives and misuse of 501c3 tax-exempt status “by entities implicated in the Minnesota-based social services fraud schemes.”

Lastly, the Treasury Department will provide training to Minnesota law enforcement “on how to utilize financial data such as Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to better combat these fraud schemes.”

When asked by the Daily Wire about Tim Walz’s role in all of this and whether his decision not to seek re-election was related to anything uncovered, Bessent said he could not talk about ongoing investigations but did say, “It’s clear that Gov. Walz has been negligent in his fiduciary duties as chief executive…And we are actively pursuing all leads to see the level of involvement, whether its limited to just negligence and incompetence or if its something more than that.”

“No More Handouts to Thieves!” – BREAKING: USDA Suspends all Federal Financial Rewards to Minnesota | The Gateway Pundit

A passionate speaker gestures emphatically while addressing a crowd at a political rally, with supporters holding signs in the background.

On Friday evening, Brooke Rollins, Secretary of Agriculture, announced that the USDA has suspended all federal financial rewards to Minnesota.

“Enough is enough! The Trump administration has uncovered MASSIVE fraud in Minnesota and Minneapolis—billions siphoned off by fraudsters. And those in charge have ZERO plan to fix it,” Rollins said on X.

“Today, the USDA is SUSPENDING FEDERAL FINANCIAL AWARDS to Minnesota and Minneapolis, effective immediately, until sufficient proof has been provided that the fraud has stopped,” she said.

“No more handouts to thieves! Time to drain the Minnesota swamp and put American taxpayers first,” Rollins said.

“The widespread and systemic fraud associated with federal benefit programs in the State of Minnesota and the City of Minneapolis demonstrate an inability to handle federal resources without additional oversight and accountability measures in place,” Rollins said in a letter to Minnesota Governor Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Rollins accused the Democrat leaders of refusing to provide basic information or take common sense measures to stop the fraud.

“Therefore, because of your failed leadership and abysmal financial management oversight, I am notifying you that, effective immediately, I am suspending payments on all active awards and any future awards from USDA to the State of Minnesota and the City of Minneapolis, currently totaling over $129.18 million,” Rollins wrote.

She continued, “Within 30 days, you shall provide USDA with payment justifications for all federal dollar expenditures from January 20, 2025 to the present. Going forward, all transactions on awards to the State of Minnesota or the City of Minneapolis will require such payment justification.”

“If those payment justifications are not received, awards will remain suspended,” she said.

On Tuesday, President Trump sent letters to California, Colorado, New York, Minnesota and Illinois to inform them of the federal cuts.

Trump made the cuts to the welfare programs due to widespread fraud in the state’s programs.

On Friday a Biden judge blocked President Trump’s $10 billion welfare funding freeze in five blue states, including Minnesota.

IN TODAY’S DIGEST

EXECUTIVE NEWS SUMMARY

The Editors

  • December jobs numbers: December’s employment numbers came in below the Dow Jones estimate of 73,000, with 50,000 jobs added — lower than November’s revised number of 56,000. The slower job growth was buoyed by a drop in the headline unemployment rate to 4.4%, which came in below the expected 4.5%. Furthermore, the overall unemployment rate dropped to 8.4%. Meanwhile, average hourly wages grew by 0.3%, meeting expectations, while annual earnings increased by 3.8%, which was 0.2% higher than forecast. Overall workforce participation came in at 62.4%. Art Hogan, chief market strategist at B. Riley Wealth, called the report “a mixed bag” while noting, “The overarching takeaway in today’s report is that there is more good news than bad in the first on-time jobs report in three months.”
  • Fraud federal task force: In a fiery press conference yesterday, Vice President JD Vance called out the news media’s coverage of ICE actions in Minneapolis, and he also announced a new interagency federal task force intended to root out fraud. The administration intends to use the task force to expand fraud investigations to other states, including Ohio and California. The task force comes on top of the 1,500 Justice Department subpoenas and 100 indictments already issued. Additionally, Vance announced that a new associate attorney general nominee will be named and given authority over fraud investigations nationwide. The nomination is expected in the “next few days.”

  • Senate advances war powers measure on Venezuela: The Senate on Thursday narrowly advanced a war powers resolution in an effort to block President Donald Trump from taking further military action against Venezuela without congressional approval. Trump complained, “Republicans should be ashamed of the Senators that just voted with Democrats in attempting to take away our Powers to fight and defend the United States of America.” He also called the measure unconstitutional for impeding his authority as commander-in-chief. Five Republican senators sided with Democrats — Rand Paul, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Josh Hawley, and Todd Young. Trump said they “should never be elected to office again.” Only Collins is up for reelection this year. Sen. John Barrosso observed that this was about Democrats attacking Trump, not advancing American interests: “It does not reassert Congress’s powers. It does not make America stronger. It makes America weaker and less safe.”
  • Russia spurns peace plan: Russia has now rejected the latest iteration of President Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Ukraine, calling certain provisions the formation of “a true axis of war.” Russia identified the core of the proposal as a multinational force deployed in Ukraine to aid in rebuilding that nation’s military. Russia’s announcement comes in response to the five-point security plan Trump’s peace envoys signed with European leaders on Tuesday. For Western observers, it seems clear that Russia will not agree to any plan that does not leave Ukraine more vulnerable than it was before the invasion in 2022. Naturally, Ukraine is insisting on security guarantees from Europe and the U.S. before agreeing to any peace plan.
  • Billionaires begin to exit California: California Democrats’ plan to impose a wealth tax on billionaires is creating a predictable result: rather than staying and having their wealth looted by the state government, at least six billionaire residents are planning to move out. Topping the growing list of billionaires fleeing the Golden State are Google co-founder Larry Page and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel. Six billionaires left before New Year’s Day to avoid a potential one-time 5% tax on all their assets exceeding $1 billion. Democrat lawmakers in the state have pushed this wealth tax, which residents will vote on in November. Silicon Valley investment firm co-founder Divesh Makan has been helping billionaires leave the state, and he estimates that as many as 20 additional billionaire families will move out. Given that California has roughly 200 billionaires, that’s no small number.
  • Minneapolis update: Investigations into the death of a protester who was impeding law enforcement personnel acting in an official capacity on Wednesday are ongoing. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension attempted to insert itself into the federal investigation on Thursday before announcing its inability to do so. The FBI, which is investigating the case, opted not to share information with state authorities, likely because the anti-American fraud in that state is so rampant that the current governor was forced to end his reelection campaign. The disgraced Governor Tim Walz said it was “very, very difficult” to believe the investigation could arrive at the truth without his state authorities having access. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said she would like to know where Minnesota authorities were when paid protesters were harassing ICE in the line of duty. FBI Director Kash Patel announced an investigation into the funding of these paid protesters.

  • Major takedown of Dominican gang: Many arrests have been made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers of notorious Dominican gang members across New York and the United States, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Thursday. More than 50 members of the transnational criminal organization Trinitarios were charged with weapons trafficking, human smuggling, narcotics distribution, and armed robberies, and 60% of them have already been deported. Several of the gang members had been arrested for crimes multiple times but then released before shooting a Customs and Border Protection officer in July (the officer miraculously survived). The shooter’s accomplice was arrested eight times by the NYPD, but he was let go every time despite already having a deportation order. Noem stated, “These arrests and these removals represent a significant blow to the criminal network that has been terrorizing communities right here in New York City and throughout the United States.”
  • Navy’s oldest carrier, USS Nimitz, ends final deployment: One of the backbones of the U.S. Navy has completed its final deployment and returned home to U.S. Naval Base Kitsap in Washington State. The USS Nimitz was the first of 10 Nimitz-class supercarriers. Commissioned in 1975, the Nimitz participated in nearly every major U.S. operation and conflict over the next 50 years. In its most recent nine-month deployment, it launched airstrikes on Islamic State targets in Somalia. The Nimitz is currently undergoing maintenance before making the voyage to Norfolk base in Virginia, where defueling and formal inactivation will begin. Due to the complexity of removing its nuclear power, the Nimitz is unlikely to become a museum ship. Nimitz-class supercarriers are still the backbone of the U.S. carrier groups, although their replacements, the Gerald R. Ford-class, have entered service with the eponymous USS Gerald R. Ford.
  • House fails to override Trump’s first two vetoes: Last month, President Trump vetoed two bills, one of which was the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act and the other the Miccosukee Reserved Area Amendment Act. Both bills had passed through Congress unanimously, but when it came to overriding Trump’s vetoes, the House was unable to secure the two-thirds majority required. Trump reasoned that, in the case of the first bill, it was a water pipeline project that had been green-lighted during the Kennedy administration with the understanding that it would be fully funded by the local community, not U.S. taxpayers. In the second bill, Trump argued that a region of the Florida Everglades occupied by the Miccosukee Tribe should not receive federal funding to fix problems in the area. The failure to override Trump’s vetoes indicates the strength of his sway among Republicans.

Good News: MAHA Fixes Dietary Guidelines

Emmy Griffin

The official Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) has not been updated since 1980, when it was first introduced. For years and years, breads and starches were overemphasized while healthy fats like those found in butter or olive oil were demonized. Not anymore.

Thanks to the work of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, the food pyramid has been flipped on its head. “As Secretary of Health and Human Services,” Kennedy said in a press conference this week, “my message is clear: eat real food. Nothing matters more for healthcare outcomes, economic outcomes, military readiness, and physical stability.”

The emphasis of the new DGA is on whole foods, prioritizing nutrient-dense foods such as poultry, red meat, fish, eggs, legumes, lentils, nuts, and more. The higher the quality of whole food, the better the nutrient intake and health outcomes.

The guidance also reflects Kennedy’s stance on sugars and ultra-processed foods, which he calls poison — and he’s right. While the former card-carrying Democrat has plenty of questionable if not downright insane opinions, his viewpoint regarding ultra-processed, prepackaged foods — namely that they are disguised as convenience but are actually empty calories that do not fuel your body and contribute to the obesity crisis — is spot-on.

Why was the 1980s food pyramid so drastically wrong? Well, the makers of the original food pyramid were coerced by food lobbyists, particularly those in the sugar lobby, to demonize fats rather than one of the main culprits: sugar itself.

Kennedy addressed this travesty as well: “The hard truth,” he noted, “is that our government has been lying to us to protect corporate profit-taking.” He promised that “the lies stop” today.

This is exactly what MAHA supporters have been hoping for. How do we make America healthy again? By eliminating added sugars, seed oils, and food dyes, and returning to real, whole foods. In the public sector, the new DGA will directly affect schools, the military, hospitals, and federal assistance programs.

Some surprising entities are applauding the new guidelines. The American Medical Association, which historically has been critical of Kennedy and the MAHA movement, released a statement saying that it “applauds the Administration’s new Dietary Guidelines for spotlighting the highly processed foods, sugar-sweetened beverages, and excess sodium that fuel heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and other chronic illnesses.” The AMA continued, “The Guidelines affirm that food is medicine and offer clear direction patients and physicians can use to improve health.”

Frankly, this move should (emphasis on should) generate bipartisan agreement. Who wouldn’t want to replace the bogus old food pyramid with one that actually reflects science and common sense? I’ll tell you who doesn’t: the leftists who inhabit the social media platform Bluesky. If they’re not griping about the new DGA’s emphasis on protein and red meat, they’re caterwauling about how it’s racist because Americans didn’t adopt former First Lady Michelle Obama’s version of a balanced diet.

Because we live in a clown world, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them go on a processed food bender in protest. As if they needed more health problems besides their mental health issues.

News Weakly – 1/3/2026 | Winging It

Minnesota on Display
Homeland Security is conducting a “massive investigation” into childcare and other “rampant fraud” in Minneapolis. The DOJ announced 98 total arrests (including 85 of Somali descent) for fraud in Minnesota, primarily in daycare center fraud. Now, I’m sure law enforcement is mistaken. I’m sure it’s a mistake … or worse. Because Minneapolis is largely known as a law abiding, careful government … oh … wait …

If at First You Don’t Succeed
In response to the Christmas Eve fiasco where musicians ruined fans’ Christmas Eve by canceling their show because the musicians were mad about … Trump … it appears that the Kennedy Center is planning to make a tradition of ruining people’s events by canceling again. “You know what? We don’t care about you fans or your fun. All we care about is we don’t like Trump.” So they’ve canceled the New Year’s Eve performance as well. That ought to make us understand their position better. Let’s see … you’re saying … “Nope! We don’t care about our fans!” Got it.

Tubes and Toothpaste
Have you heard of the notion that you “you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube.” As a race, we seem to accept something as novel, but before long, it’s necessary, then mandatory. Take the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), for instance. Established in 2010 as an oversight of financial institutions, it went from “a good idea” to a judicial mandate, as evidenced by the story that a federal judge ruled that the Trump administration must fund the CFPB. It’s not constitutional. It’s not a legal mandate somewhere. But … now it’s a requirement. That particular toothpaste is not going back in that tube.

Banning Social Media?
Australia last year banned social media accounts for children under the age of 16. Now France is considering something similar for under 15. So is Denmark, Malaysia, and Norway. Netherlands discourages it for under 15 and Greece requires parental consent. Apparently these (and others) are seeing dangers that have always been there but have gone unaddressed.

Your Best Source for Fake News
Minnesota’s Governor Walz is taking action on this whole fraud thing. He has awarded an $8 billion grant to a Somali company to investigate the Somali perpetrators. Because that’s what a savvy government does. On the airstrikes in Nigeria on Christmas day, the Bee had a … different spin. They suggest Trump gave some terrorists the special gift of meeting Allah for Christmas. Finally, apparently Planet Fitness figured out a new approach by offering a new two-week membership for New Years … you know, for those folks making resolutions. Shrewd marketing.

Must be true; I read it on the internet.

Obama’s Trojan Horse: How His Refugee Machine Engineered The Billion-Dollar Looting Of US Treasury | ZeroHedge

Authored by X user Saggezza Etern,

Obama’s Billion-Dollar Minnesota Fraud Empire

The Heist You Paid For

Imagine waking up tomorrow to find your bank account empty. Every dollar you saved for your children’s tuition, your retirement, your security—gone. Now imagine looking out the window and seeing the thief driving a Porsche bought with your money, laughing as he waves a government-issued thank you note. This is not a hypothetical scenario. It is the reality of the American taxpayer in the wake of the single largest COVID-era fraud scheme in the nation’s history. While you were locked down, masked up, and worrying about the price of eggs, a sophisticated network of fraudsters in Minnesota was siphoning off a quarter of a billion dollars—likely far more—from programs meant to feed hungry children.

The “Feeding Our Future” scandal is not just a story about greed. It is the smoking gun of a much darker political operation. Federal prosecutors have charged 70 people in a $250 million conspiracy, and the FBI is reportedly eyeing fraud that could total over $2 billion across multiple sectors including autism therapy, housing, and daycare. The vast majority of these defendants come from the Somali community in Minnesota. But do not be distracted by the foot soldiers. To understand how a fraud of this magnitude happens, you have to look past the people cashing the checks and look at the architect who built the bank. This industrial-scale theft traces directly back to Barack Obama. It was his administration that deliberately flooded Minnesota with tens of thousands of refugees, creating a dependent, insular enclave primed for exploitation. It was his policy of “equity” that paralyzed oversight. And it is his political heirs who are now frantically trying to bury the evidence.

The Architect of the Enclave

You might be wondering how Minnesota, a state once known for Scandinavian stoicism and lakes, became the global epicenter for Somali diasporic fraud. It was not an accident. It was a federal mandate. Between 2008 and 2016, the Obama administration oversaw the admission of over 54,000 Somali refugees into . But they didn’t just scatter them across the 50 states. They targeted specific swing states and counties, with Minnesota being the primary dumping ground.

By the time Obama left office, Minnesota was home to the largest Somali population in the country, now estimated at over 80,000 people. This concentration was strategic. By clustering refugees in Minneapolis, the Democratic machine created a voting bloc that could be harvested for elections and a demographic that demanded massive government outlays. They called it “diversity.” In reality, it was demographic engineering. The Obama administration poured federal grants into “refugee services,” creating a lucrative industry of nonprofits and community organizers whose entire existence depended on keeping the flow of refugees—and federal dollars—moving. This established the infrastructure for the fraud we see today. When you import a population from a failed state with no tradition of Western civic duty, and you teach them that the government is a bottomless trough of free money, you don’t get assimilation. You get predation.

The “Equity” Shield: How They Paralyzed the Police

The genius of the Obama-era strategy was not just in the importation of people, but in the weaponization of race to silence dissent. Under the guise of “equity,” the Obama administration pushed for relaxed standards in federal contracting, specifically favoring “minority-owned” nonprofits. This created a regulatory environment where asking questions became a career-ending risk.

Consider the mechanics of the “Feeding Our Future” fraud. The fraudsters claimed to be serving thousands of meals a day to children who did not exist. At one site, they claimed to be feeding 2,000 children daily in a second-story apartment. Anyone with eyes could see this was impossible. So why didn’t the Minnesota Department of Education stop it? Because when they tried, they were called racists. The fraudsters, emboldened by the racial grievance culture Obama cultivated, sued the state for discrimination. Terrified of the “racism” label, the state resumed payments. This is the direct result of a decade of Obama-era policy that equated oversight with oppression. The bureaucrats were more afraid of a lawsuit from the ACLU than they were of letting billions of dollars in taxpayer money walk out the back door.

The Protege: Ilhan Omar and the MEALS Act

If Barack Obama built the machine, Ilhan Omar is the operator. Omar is the ultimate product of the Minnesota Somali enclave. She rose to power not despite her radicalism, but because of the demographic reality Obama created. And her legislative fingerprints are all over this scandal.

In 2020, as the pandemic began, Omar sponsored the MEALS Act. This legislation fundamentally altered the rules for federal nutrition programs, allowing parents to pick up meals without children present and removing the requirement for congregate dining. While pitched as a compassionate measure, it effectively removed the only verification mechanism the government had. It was a blank check. It is no coincidence that the fraud exploded immediately after these rules were relaxed. Omar’s campaign has accepted thousands of dollars from individuals later indicted in the scheme, money she quietly returned only after the media glare became too bright. She defends the lax rules as necessary to “feed kids,” twisting the narrative to make you feel guilty for questioning the theft. But the money didn’t go to kids. It went to luxury condos in Nairobi, beachfront property in Turkey, and Porsches in Minneapolis.

The Deep State Money Laundry

The rabbit hole goes deeper than just meal tickets. The connections between the Somali fraud network and the highest levels of the Democratic establishment are becoming impossible to ignore. Take a look at Rose Lake Capital, a venture capital firm founded by Tim Mynett, Ilhan Omar’s husband. As the fraud investigations heated up, astute observers noticed that the firm’s website was scrubbed of some very interesting names.

Prior to the scrub, the firm listed advisors including a former Obama ambassador to Bahrain, a former Obama ambassador to China, and a former DNC treasurer. Why are top-tier Obama officials swimming in the same financial waters as the family of a Congresswoman whose district is ground zero for the largest fraud in history? These networks provide the cover. They provide the legitimacy. And they potentially provide the mechanism to wash the proceeds of the grift. This is not just local corruption. It is a federally integrated operation where the political elite protect the foot soldiers who deliver the votes and the cash.

The Cost of Submission

You are paying for this. Every time you look at your pay stub and see the massive chunk taken out for federal taxes, remember that money is not building roads. It is not securing the border. It is funding the lifestyle of people who hate you. The $250 million stolen in the Feeding Our Future scam is just the tip of the iceberg. Investigators believe the total theft across childcare, autism, and housing programs could reach billions.

But the financial cost pales in comparison to the security threat. Much of this stolen money was remitted overseas. We know it bought real estate in Kenya and Turkey. What we don’t know is how much of it ended up in the hands of Al-Shabaab or other extremist groups in the Horn of Africa. By turning a blind eye to this fraud to preserve “community relations,” the Democrats have effectively turned the US Treasury into a piggy bank for foreign interests. And politically, they have succeeded. The Somali bloc in Minnesota votes over 80% Democrat. They have sent Ilhan Omar to Congress three times. They are a captured constituency, bought and paid for with your tax dollars.

Dismantling the Legacy

The Minnesota fraud scandal is the inevitable result of the Obama doctrine: Import a dependent class, dismantle the safeguards against corruption under the banner of “equity,” and brand anyone who notices as a bigot. They counted on your silence. They counted on your fear of being called a name.

But the receipts are in. We know who did this. We know how they did it. And we know who let it happen. The solution is not “reform.” It is a complete dismantling of the refugee resettlement pipeline that Obama built. We need a forensic audit of every federal dollar sent to “community non-profits” in the last ten years. We need to seize the assets—the cars, the houses, the overseas accounts—of everyone involved. And most importantly, we need to stop being afraid. The cry of “racism” is the thief’s final defense. Ignore it. Keep your eyes on the money. Keep your eyes on the truth. They stole your country and sold it back to you as “diversity.” Demand a refund.

What You Can Do Right Now:

  • Share this article: The mainstream media is trying to bury the Obama connection. Force the conversation.
  • Demand Audits: Contact your state representatives and demand a specialized audit of all Department of Education and DHS grant recipients in your state.
  • Reject the Guilt: When they try to shame you for asking where the money went, laugh in their faces. You are the creditor. They are the debtors. And collection day is coming.

Beyond Daycare: How Somali Fraud Spread Across Nutrition, Housing, and Autism Programs | The Gateway Pundit

Nick Shirley’s viral video brought attention to widespread daycare fraud within Minnesota’s Somali community. Further investigation reveals Somali participation in multiple benefit schemes, ranging from nutrition programs to housing and autism services.

Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that, of the 92 defendants charged in child nutrition, housing services, and autism program schemes, 82 are Somali Americans.

Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson called these programs “staggering, industrial-scale fraud” and stated that when investigations are complete, total fraud could exceed $9 billion. Documented theft already includes $300 million from Feeding Our Future, nearly $220 million from autism programs, and $302 million from Housing Stabilization Services, totaling $822 million.

The Somali-linked nonprofit Feeding Our Future was founded in 2016 and during COVID-19 claimed to distribute meals to schoolchildren but instead stole at least $250 million while providing few or no meals. The scheme listed 299 meal sites claiming to serve 90 million meals in less than two years, more than 120,000 meals per day. One FBI-surveilled site claiming 6,000 meals per day actually averaged around 40 visitors.

Federal prosecutors allege only around 3% of funding was spent on food, with the remainder funneled to conspirators. Federal prosecutors indicted 78 suspects, with more than 50 pleading guilty and seven found guilty at trial. State officials spotted early fraud signs in July 2019. When Minnesota’s Department of Education tried to stop payments in December 2020, Feeding Our Future sued the state, alleging racial discrimination. A judge found no legal basis for stopping payments.

Current and former federal sources confirmed some funds ended up with al-Qaida-linked terror group al-Shabaab in Somalia. One recovered text message read “Please send $1,000 to Mogadishu Bakara,” referring to a market previously controlled by al-Shabaab. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced his department will investigate whether tax dollars from Minnesota’s public assistance programs made their way to designated terrorists.

Thompson explained the connection between fraud schemes: “Many defendants in these cases were getting money from multiple government benefit programs, many Medicaid programs. This is how these investigations grew out of Feeding our Future. I think roughly two dozen or so Feeding our Future defendants were getting money from autism clinics and that’s why, that is how we learned about the autism fraud.”

Widespread fraud in Minnesota’s autism services system followed the same pattern as other scams. The first defendant charged was Asha Farhan Hassan, who, along with her partners, approached parents in the Somali community to recruit their children into Smart Therapy. The children did not have autism diagnoses, but Hassan and her partners worked with professionals to have the recruited children improperly qualified for autism services.

Parents received monthly cash kickbacks ranging from approximately $300 to $1,500 per child. Prosecutors also charged another defendant who approached parents in the Somali community to recruit children for his clinic, which ultimately submitted $6 million in claims for Medicaid reimbursement.

Minnesota became the first state to offer Medicaid coverage for Housing Stabilization Services in July 2022, designed to help vulnerable populations including seniors, people with disabilities, and those with mental illness or substance use disorders find and maintain stable housing.

Companies would identify vulnerable individuals leaving drug or mental health rehab programs and sign them up for housing stabilization services, then billed for services never provided, submitted fake and inflated claims, billed for maximum authorized services while delivering minimal or no actual services, billed after clients had died, and continued billing even when individuals had resided in stable housing for extended periods.

Multiple waves of federal indictments have been announced charging principals of several companies including Brilliant Minds Services, Faladcare, Leo Human Services, Liberty Plus LLC, and Foundation First. Defendants at these companies include Moktar Hassan Aden, Mustafa Dayib Ali, Khalid Ahmed Dayib, Abdifitah Mohamud Mohamed, Asad Ahmed Adow, and Anwar Ahmed Adow. Liberty Plus received over $1.2 million in fraudulent Medicaid funds for approximately 200 beneficiaries.

Thompson noted bank records showing people claiming to serve meals to thousands of children daily while also running various healthcare service programs. Governor Tim Walz’s administration shut down the Housing Stabilization Services Program in October 2025 after federal investigators warned it was “extremely vulnerable to fraud.”

A former Somali American investigator in the Minnesota attorney general’s office, Kayseh Magan, wrote that “fraud occurs when desire meets opportunity,” and that many Somali Americans are “poor, desperate and seek shortcuts.” He noted that Somali service providers often leverage trust within the community to recruit friends and relatives into their programs.

President Trump stated during a Cabinet meeting, “Somalians ripped off that state for billions of dollars… and they contribute nothing.” Governor Walz criticized the federal government for citing the fraud problem, arguing that it unfairly targets Minnesota’s Somali community.

While Trump’s words may sound insensitive, they are mathematically accurate. Excluding the billions lost to fraud, Somalis likely contribute less than $20–30 million in actual new tax revenue while consuming an estimated $3.4–4.2 billion in government services and benefits. If roughly 81 percent receive welfare, much of that “income” consists of SNAP benefits, Medicaid, cash assistance, EITC refunds, and housing subsidies, none of which generate income tax.

Claims that Somalis contribute billions in taxes rely largely on sales tax paid using government benefit funds or on a concept liberals recently dreamed up called “imputed” property tax through rent. In most cases, rent is paid by the government, meaning any associated tax is simply recycled public money.

Property taxes are owed by the owner regardless of whether a unit is rented, so whether rent is paid out of pocket or with government funds, Somali renters do not introduce additional tax revenue into the system. As a result, Somalis are a net drain on public finances, and when fraud is added, that drain grows substantially larger.

WATCH: Karoline Leavitt Says Trump “Not Afraid to Use Denaturalization” Against Somali Fraudsters — Search Warrants Being Executed and “People Will be in Handcuffs” | The Gateway Pundit

News anchor reporting live on an ICE HSI operation in Minneapolis, featuring law enforcement personnel engaged in an investigation.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Wednesday joined Fox News to discuss the Somali fraud ring in Minnesota, and she revealed plans to potentially revoke the citizenship of aliens who defraud American taxpayers and declared that arrests will be made as subpoenas and search warrants are executed at the crime scenes.

This comes after independent reporter Nick Shirley exposed the staggering scope of the corruption, centered largely in Minnesota’s Somali nonprofit ecosystem, where hundreds of millions of taxpayer funds vanished.

Billions of dollars are estimated to have been stolen by Somali fraudsters, ripping off government welfare and child care programs.

Leavitt told Fox’s Griff Jenkins on Tuesday that the Department of Homeland Security and Department of State are “looking at” revoking the citizenship of naturalized Somali immigrants involved in the massive fraud.

President Trump “absolutely” wants their citizenship revoked, she said.

WATCH:

Jenkins: Does President Trump want those Somalis to have their citizenship revoked if convicted of fraud?

Leavitt: Absolutely, and it’s something the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, is currently looking at right now. It’s something this administration has already done, and we know that there are liberal activist judges across the country who will try to block and tackle this administration from pursuing justice at every turn. But that’s not going to stop the President and his entire cabinet by acting on behalf of law abiding taxpaying citizens in the state of Minnesota and in states across the country, who have been ripped off by people who abused our immigration system, came to our country, do not love our country or respect our values, and now have been ripping off and stealing money from law abiding Americans. This administration is not going to tolerate it.

And again, this is a whole of government effort. We’ve surged resources. As you pointed out, the Department of Justice has already charged and prosecuted nearly 100 people. In fact, some of the buildings and some of the sites that Nick Shirley exposed in that video are under current investigation by the Department of Justice. One of those sites, the Midway building, resulted in 13 defendants already being charged earlier this year under the leadership of our Attorney General and President Trump. So, that is definitely going to continue.

In another segment of the interview, Leavitt slammed “completely incompetent” Governor Tim Walz and said that the Department of Justice is investigating the operation. “People will be in handcuffs as a result of the fraud that Governor Walz has allowed to occur for many, many years.”

Tim Walz and Minnesota State officials also need to be arrested for covering up the fraud and allowing it to happen. Otherwise, these aren’t serious investigations.

“We’re also not afraid to use denaturalization. That’s a tool at the President and the Secretary of State’s disposal, and it’s one this administration has previously used before,” she added.

WATCH:

Leavitt: Governor Walz is completely incompetent. He always has been, and President Trump has long called him out for his incompetence and his poor leadership in the great state of Minnesota. I want to commend Nick Shirley for his incredible video and real journalism that went viral this past week. He epitomizes what New Media looks like, and that’s exactly why we at the White House, under President Trump’s direction, have embraced new media journalists like Nick Shirley. We’ve welcomed them in to the White House press pool. We invited Nick Shirley to brief the President of the United States at an Antifa roundtable earlier this year, and this fraud in Governor Waltz’s state in Minnesota is something the Trump administration has been working on since day one And since Nick Shirley’s journalism really brought this issue further to light, we have surged resources across the board to the state, so I want your audience to understand this is a top priority for the administration.

The Department of Justice, as we speak, is continuing to execute search warrants and subpoenas. People will be in handcuffs as a result of the fraud that Governor Walz has allowed to occur for many, many years. The Department of Homeland Security is conducting door to door investigations on the ground at potential fraud sites, and they’re also, of course, conducting continued deportations of illegal aliens in Minnesota’s communities. We’re also not afraid to use denaturalization. That’s a tool at the President and the Secretary of State’s disposal, and it’s one this administration has previously used before.

I know the Health and Human Services Department has also announced we are cutting off all childcare funding to the state of Minnesota until we get to the bottom of this fraud. The Department of Labor is investigating their unemployment insurance program. The Department of USDA, Agriculture, Secretary Rollins, weeks ago, sent a letter to Governor Walz, demanding he turn over every single name of SNAP recipients on the books in Minnesota. And the Minnesota Attorney General actually sued the Trump administration for that. What are they hiding?

A Ripoff Of Historic Proportions: The Amount Of Money Involved In The Minnesota Fraud Scandal Is Absolutely Staggering | The Economic Collapse

I have been digging into the fraud scandal in Minnesota, and what I have learned has absolutely floored me.  It isn’t just millions of dollars or hundreds of millions of dollars that we are talking about in this case.  The fraudsters have literally stolen billions of taxpayer dollars, and they have been spending it on luxury vehicles, expensive homes and all sorts of other things.  This is something that has been going on for many years, and finally something is being done to stop it.

We owe Nick Shirley a tremendous amount of gratitude, because his investigative video is the reason why so many people are talking about the Minnesota fraud scandal this week

As Homeland Security agents were in Minnesota conducting what DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called a “massive investigation on childcare and other rampant fraud” on Monday, many of their targets came not from tips from the FBI, but from a video posted on social media over the weekend.

The video, posted by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley, alleged nearly a dozen day care centers in Minnesota that are receiving public funds are not actually providing any service. As of Monday, the video had been viewed more than 1 million times, according to YouTube’s metrics, and was seen by tens of millions more on X.

“While we have questions about some of the methods used in the video, we do take the concerns that the video raises about fraud very seriously,” said Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families commissioner Tikki Brown.

If you have not watched his video yet, I would very much encourage you to do so.

Why can’t our law enforcement agencies operate like this?

Shirley says that he was able to uncover 110 million dollars in fraud in just a single day

We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable

We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.

This is one of the reasons why citizen journalists such as Nick Shirley and myself work tirelessly to expose the truth.

Because in so many cases our government officials will never take action until people start demanding it.

Apparently those that live in the vicinity of the “Quality Learing Center” in Minneapolis never see any kids around.

But now that this scandal is blowing wide open, suddenly there were quite a few kids at the facility on Monday

The Quality “Learing” Center Minneapolis, a purported day care flagged in a viral video designed to expose fraud, may have been bustling with kids Monday, but it is typically such a ghost town that it appeared closed, a local told The Post.

The resident called the kiddie scene at the site Monday — a few days after explosive footage called it out and suggested it was part of widespread state fraud — “highly unusual.

“We’ve never seen kids go in there until today. That parking lot is empty all the time, and I was under the impression that place is permanently closed,” the person said.

Sadly, the fraud at daycare centers in Minnesota has apparently been going on for a very long time.

In fact, surveillance footage at one daycare center in 2015 shows parents signing in their kids “so providers could bill the state for full days of care for children who didn’t actually attend”…

Shocking unearthed video from a 2018 state fraud case shows Minnesota parents dropping their children off at a day care center and then leaving with the kids moments later — as authorities probe a rampant billion-dollar fraud scheme in Minneapolis.

In the surveillance footage, dated 2015 and obtained by Fox 9, parents are seen signing their kids into the facility so providers could bill the state for full days of care for children who didn’t actually attend.

On some days, no families would even show up at all, but the day cares would still claim reimbursements from the government, the outlet reported at the time.

Needless to say, this sort of thing is not just going on in Minnesota.

Hopefully this scandal will cause the federal government to take a very close look at taxpayer-funded programs all over the nation.

Earlier in December, CBS News reported that hundreds of millions of dollars was being stolen through a nonprofit entity in Minnesota known as “Feeding Our Future”…

Earlier this month, CBS News detailed how a group of convicted fraudsters allegedly spent some of the millions of taxpayer dollars stolen by people associated with a nonprofit called Feeding Our Future, which was meant to help feed vulnerable children during the pandemic.

Investigators say fraudulent payouts to the Feeding Our Future program alone were estimated at $250 million, making it the nation’s costliest COVID-era aid scam.

Walz, a Democrat, previously agreed with an estimate from First Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson that fraud across all programs, including the Feeding Our Future scheme, which is not a DHS-administered program, could total $1 billion.

Vast amounts of money that was supposed to go toward feeding needy children ended up in the pockets of fraudsters instead.

And apparently they spent that money on vehicles, homes and other luxuries

Luxury cars, private villas and overseas wire transfers: CBS News obtained dozens of files and photos that reveal how Minnesota fraudsters blew through hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars as part of one of the biggest COVID-era fraud schemes.

The files document a spending spree in which defendants, many of Somali descent, took taxpayer money meant to feed hungry children and used it to buy cars, property and jewelry. Videos show them popping champagne at an opulent Maldives resort. In a text message, one defendant boasts: “You are gonna be the richest 25 year old InshaAllah [God willing].”

Remember, this was just one nonprofit entity.

Fraud has been discovered at countless others as well.

Overall, prosecutors are telling us that the total amount of fraud that they have uncovered in Minnesota now comes to a grand total of 9 billion dollars

Monday’s DHS visits come amid what prosecutors allege is a $9 billion COVID-era fraud scandal in Minnesota. Gov. Tim Walz and other state officials have disputed that figure and defended their handling of the crisis.

There are 14 specific Medicaid-funded programs in Minnesota currently under federal investigation, although child care isn’t one of them.

9 billion dollars in just one state!

Just think about that.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced that 98 individuals involved in the fraud in Minnesota have been arrested so far…

@NickShirleyyy’s work has helped show Americans the scale of fraud in Tim Walz’s Minnesota.

@TheJusticeDept has been investigating this for months. So far, we have charged 98 individuals – 85 of Somali descent – and more than 60 have been found guilty in court.

We have more prosecutions coming…BUCKLE UP, LAWMAKERS!

But what about all of the other states?

An investigative journalist has discovered that rampant daycare fraud is also happening in Ohio.

And apparently fraudsters in Ohio are raking in massive amounts of cash by engaging in a widespread “home health” scam

Ohio attorney Mehek Cooke CONFIRMS MASSIVE fraud in Ohio, another hotbed for Somalis

They run fake “home health” and bill $250,000 PER YEAR, per FAMILY, when no work is actually being done

She says it also happens in PENNSYLVANIA

“Audit America. Audit Ohio now. And I’m pushing for that in every single state!”

“The state will, as long as the doctor has approved it, continue to pay you. It could be for 10 hours, 12 hours, up to 24 when it’s critical care.”

“So you could sit at home without caring for an elderly parent who really doesn’t need it, make about $75,000 to $90,000 a year. Now you add two parents, that’s $180,000. Now you add your in-laws $250,000.”

We all knew that the level of fraud in the system was off the charts.

Now we are finally starting to get some of the details.

According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, over 5 billion dollars in federal rental assistance was sent to ineligible recipients last year alone

A new report from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development has found that more than $5 billion in federal rental assistance during fiscal year 2024 went to potentially ineligible recipients, including nearly 30,000 deceased individuals and thousands of non-citizens, according to MSN and the NY Post.

The audit, conducted by HUD’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer, reviewed nearly $50 billion in housing aid and identified $5.8 billion — about 11% — as “questionable.” More than 200,000 tenants were flagged, including 29,715 listed as deceased, 9,472 non-citizens, and 165,393 households receiving payments above local eligibility limits, particularly in large metro areas such as New Orleans. Officials said suspicious payments appeared nationwide, with heavy concentrations in New York, California and Washington, DC.

“A massive abuse of taxpayer dollars not only occurred under President Biden’s watch, but was effectively incentivized by his administration’s failure to implement strong financial controls resulting in billions worth of potential improper payments,” HUD Secretary Scott Turner said. “HUD will continue investigating the shocking results and will take appropriate action to hold bad actors accountable.”

U.S. taxpayers are being ripped off over and over again.

It is truly a national disgrace.

If we make enough of a stink about it, and if enough people start going to prison, hopefully we will start to see real change.

Enough is enough.

We are 38 trillion dollars in debt, and we simply cannot afford to keep sending billions of dollars to the hordes of lawless predators that are eagerly taking advantage of the rest of us.

WATCH: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Claimed ‘Majority of Crime is Committed by White Men’ While Defending Somali Community Earlier This Month | The Gateway Pundit

Official press conference featuring a speaker addressing important issues, with American flags in the background, highlighting government engagement and leadership.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is facing intense backlash after a resurfaced clip from earlier this month went viral.

In the viral clip, Walz deflects blame from the Somali community in the state’s ongoing multi-billion-dollar fraud scandals by stating that the “majority of crime is committed by white men.”

The clip, which resurfaced amid Nick Shirley’s viral investigation into Somali day care fraud in Minnesota, shows Walz responding to a question during a December 12 press conference about whether the foreign community bears responsibility for not preventing or reporting the schemes.

“The majority of crime is committed by White Men,” Walz said. “It’s crime in general. We need to be educating the population…Medicaid fraud will stretch across ALL racial demographics and ethnic groups. I think you can’t blame the Somali community.”

“It’s not law abiding citizens. If that were the case, there’s a lot of white men who should be holding a lot of white men accountable for the crimes they have committed,” he said.

“Each community’s got this in their own midst, but to blame them and say that they should have been responsible for stopping it — I think that’s a pretty hard reach,” Walz added.

Walz claimed that Somalis just need to be educated about “why they shouldn’t commit crimes.”

“I think we continue to educate folks about why they shouldn’t commit crimes. You would hope that it’s being taught both at home and at schools and in our society,” the governor said.

“But no, I think this idea that the Somali community is to blame for this because they didn’t do more — I think that’s how we got into this.”

WATCH:

Walz also accused President Donald Trump of inflaming the issue, claiming he made it “white hot” and “very dangerous,” despite acknowledging that the scandals are not new and have been under investigation for years.

Walz convened the press conference to announce new anti-fraud measures, including the appointment of retired judge and former Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Superintendent Drew Evans as the state’s Director of Fraud Prevention.

This came in response to escalating revelations of fraud in programs like Feeding Our Future, which allegedly saw over $250 million stolen through fake child nutrition claims, and to estimates suggesting that up to half of the $18 billion in federal funds across 14 state programs may have been defrauded.

The vast majority of the individuals indicted in these schemes are from Minnesota’s Somali community.

MUST WATCH: Surveillance Footage Reveals Somali Daycare Fraud Playbook — Scheme Dates Back to 2013! | The Gateway Pundit

Surveillance footage showing a snowy parking lot with several vehicles and people walking, highlighting community activity during winter.

Newly resurfaced surveillance footage and investigative reporting confirm that the now-exploding Somali daycare fraud scandal in Minnesota follows a well-documented playbook that state officials were warned about as early as 2013, and repeatedly thereafter.

Yet year after year, the fraud was allowed to metastasize, draining hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars from programs meant to help poor children, while far-left Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and radical Rep. Ilhan Omar looked the other way.

The scandal exploded into the national spotlight this week after a viral video by YouTuber Nick Shirley went mega-viral, accusing Somali-owned daycare centers of blatant fraud.

Shirley knocked on doors, demanding answers, and what he uncovered has prompted the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to “surge” into Minnesota for a massive investigation.

Let’s rewind to 2013, when a team of Ramsey County forensic auditors uncovered the scam’s early roots. A KSTP 5 Eyewitness News report from October 2025 reveals a whistleblower from Ramsey County who, in 2013, uncovered four daycare centers exploiting CCAP, with dozens more suspicious cases totaling over $100 million in fraud.

The whistleblower alerted the Department of Human Services (DHS) and lawmakers, but nothing happened for years.

Reporter:
Did you raise your concerns to the Department of Human Services?

Whistleblower:
Yes. I spoke with the Office of Inspector General numerous times.

Reporter:
I talked with this whistleblower, whose identity we’re protecting because they still work as an auditor. They were hired as a Ramsey County forensic auditor to investigate fraud in the CCAP program.

Whistleblower:
We were the ones who came up with the $100 million a year in CCAP fraud in 2013.

Reporter:
The team of investigators uncovered four daycare centers exploiting the CCAP program. All of the owners were charged with fraud in the CCAP program, and the whistleblower says there were dozens more.

Whistleblower:
How much fraud is there? We identified 60-some-odd suspicious cases, and other cases as well.

Reporter:
But the whistleblower says nothing ever happened with those 60 other cases.

Whistleblower:
Personally, I want to know why. I think this is a much bigger issue than just a handful of bad actors. This runs deep, and it runs all the way to the top of some departments and agencies.

Reporter:
So if you and your investigation found 60 cases in the CCAP program that were questionable, they could total over $100 million?

Whistleblower:
Yes, easily.

Reporter:
And when all of this was given to state lawmakers—you alerted them to this problem 12 years ago—what is your response and your reaction to what’s going on now?

Whistleblower:
I have been in shock that nothing has happened except for the last couple of years. There are so many agencies that should have oversight of this.

Reporter:
Despite charges in those older cases, prosecutors have not announced charges in the newer investigations.

WATCH:

FOX 9’s investigative reporting in 2018 also exposed the fraud, estimating that it cost taxpayers up to $100 million a year, with cash-stuffed suitcases reportedly flying out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) almost weekly.

In 2018, Fox 9 aired a bombshell investigation detailing what the reporter described as rampant fraud in Minnesota’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).

According to Fox 9’s reporting, based on public records and nearly a dozen government sources, large sums of taxpayer money were being siphoned out of daycare centers and physically carried overseas in suitcases filled with cash.

The trail led straight through Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport, where sources told Fox 9 that carry-on bags stuffed with cash, sometimes $1 million at a time, had become a routine sight.

By 2016, investigators documented $84 million leaving MSP as undeclared carry-on cash. By the following year, that figure ballooned to more than $100 million annually, much of it headed to Dubai, the Middle East, and East Africa.

Former FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force investigator Glen Kerns told Fox 9 that some of the cash streams were routed through hawalas – informal money-transfer networks- linked to regions controlled by al Shabaab, an internationally recognized terrorist organization.

The news outlet reported:

“To better understand the connection between daycare fraud and the surge in carry-on cash, you have to look at the history of this crime.

Five years ago the Fox 9 Investigators were first to report that daycare fraud was on the rise in Minnesota, exposing how some businesses were gaming the system to steal millions in government subsidies meant to help low-income families with their childcare expenses.

“It’s a great way to make some money,” Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said.

In order for the scheme to work, the daycare centers need to sign up low income families that qualify for child care assistance funding.

Surveillance videos from a case prosecuted by Hennepin County show parents checking their kids into a center, only to leave with them a few minutes later. Sometimes, no children would show up.

Either way, the center would bill the state for a full day of childcare.”

The surveillance video is timestamped March 31, 2015.

One of the most shocking cases involved Fozia Ali, who was sworn in as a member of the Hopkins Park Board while under active investigation for wire fraud and theft of public money.

As Ali pledged to “support the Constitution of the United States,” state and federal agents had already raided her Minneapolis daycare for allegedly billing more than $1 million in bogus childcare services.

The FBI confirmed that some of the stolen money went overseas. Ali herself took a two-month trip to Dubai and Kenya, staying in luxury hotels costing up to $800 per night, all while using a phone app to bill Minnesota for childcare services she wasn’t providing.

According to the indictment and documents filed in state court:

ALI operated the Salama Child Care Center (Salama) in Minneapolis. Between at least December 2013 and May 2015, ALI defrauded the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) to obtain payments from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) for child care services that were not actually provided.

According to the indictment, ALI submitted claims for CCAP payments that overstated the number of children who actually attended and received day care services from Salama. The claims asserted that more than 100 children attended and received child care at Salama on a given day. On more than one occasion, the claims falsely inflated the number of children that had attended Salama on a given day by more than 400 percent, including on days when Salama was closed.

Ali later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to federal prison.

Perhaps most damning are the internal warnings.

Scott Stillman, a veteran digital forensics manager at Minnesota’s Department of Human Services, sent urgent emails in 2017 warning superiors that:

“We are working on and overwhelmed by a significant amount of fraud cases involving organized crime, defrauding hundreds of millions of dollars annually in taxpayer monies.”

Stillman explicitly warned that stolen funds were being sent overseas to organizations connected to terrorism.

His emails were delayed, redacted, buried, and never meaningfully acted upon.

Stillman ultimately resigned.

In September 2018, the Human Services Reform Finance and Policy Committee received an update on ongoing fraud investigations being conducted by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Office of Inspector General.

The committee also heard testimony from Anoka County officials regarding their “success” in handling fraud cases.

FLASHBACK: MN AG Keith Ellison CAUGHT ON TAPE Promising Favors to Somali Immigrant Fraudsters — Including Now-Convicted Defendants — In Exchange for Campaign Cash | The Gateway Pundit

54-minute secret recording from a December 11, 2021, closed-door meeting inside Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison’s official state office is resurfacing amid explosive revelations that 70 Somali community members in Minnesota participated in stealing $250 million in federal COVID child-feeding funds.

On the tape released by American Experiment earlier this year, Ellison sympathizes with, encourages, and ultimately promises assistance to a group of Somali-American business leaders, many of whom would later be charged or convicted in the largest COVID relief fraud scheme in U.S. history.

The fraudulent operation, centered around the notorious nonprofit Feeding Our Future, stole an estimated $250 million in federal child nutrition funds, money intended to feed poor children but instead used to purchase luxury homes, foreign real estate, jewelry, and lavish lifestyles.

The audio reveals Ellison mocking state agency oversight, vowing to “fight” on behalf of the very operators who investigators say were deeply involved in a web of wire fraud, money laundering, and fake meal claims across Minnesota.

Soon after (on December 20, 2021), Keith Ellison’s campaign and that of his son Jeremiah Ellison received campaign donations from individuals linked to Feeding Our Future.

Among those donors was Gandi Yusuf Mohamed, a person publicly identified as tied to laundering over $1.1 M in program funds.

According to American Experiment:

Ellison states on the recording that “we are in the middle of the battle with the agencies now” at 8:59. At 9:07, Ellison asserts that:

Walz agrees with me that this piddly, stupid stuff running small people out of business is terrible.

At 9:22, Ellison can be heard drawing a diagram on a whiteboard. At 9:50, Ellison agrees with the proposition that there is state agency discrimination against East African businesses.

At 11:30, Ellison brags that:

Just being able to say, just getting the question, just getting the inquiry from the AG is sometimes enough to make people knock it off.

We return to the tawdry subject of coin at the 13:00 mark, where Omar again offers his fundraising assistance to Ellison as a political candidate, apparently while sitting in Ellison’s official government office.

Ellison can be heard (13:29) responding, “That’s right” and (13:56), “Money is freedom.”

[…]

The “ask” of Ellison begins around 43:30. Specifically, the request is for him, in the AG’s statutory role as attorney for state agencies, to intervene on behalf of these small businesses subject to racist government overregulation. At 44:26, Ellison assures his audience, “Of course, I’m here to help,” and at 45:00, “Let’s go fight these people.” Hear the Ellison battle plan.

Ellison claimed the recording was a “smear.” But the tape speaks for itself.

“When the AG arrived, he was surprised to find others present but agreed to meet with them,” says Ellison’s spokesman in a written statement to KSTP.

“It is a shame that these fraudsters tried to exploit the Attorney General’s good faith engagement, but they were not successful. Nothing happened as a result of the meeting. Feeding Our Future was raided by the FBI in January of 2022, and the people who orchestrated this plot are sitting in prison.”

The entire recording can be heard here.

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is under fire after employees from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) issued a bombshell statement accusing the far-left governor of orchestrating a sweeping cover-up to shield a sprawling Somali immigrant fraud ring that stole more than $1 billion in taxpayer funds and punishing whistleblowers who tried to stop it.

According to DHS insiders, Walz not only ignored early warnings but actively retaliated against agency employees who sounded the alarm.

They now accuse his administration of using political intimidation, monitoring, threats, and agency manipulation to suppress evidence and silence witnesses.

Tim Walz Calls Journalist Nick Shirley a “White Supremacist” for Reporting on Millions in Somali Daycare Fraud | The Gateway Pundit

The Gateway Pundit reported on journalist Nick Shirley’s shocking report exposing millions of dollars of fraud involving Somali daycare centers in Minnesota.

Rather than address the fleecing of taxpayers in his state, Governor Tim Walz attacked Shirley instead, calling him a “White supremacist” for daring to expose the fraud.

Shirley shared clips of his investigation, including footage of the door being slammed in his face while he asked a Minnesota Childcare Center that claims to care for 102 children, which appeared empty.

Shirley released the full 42-minute video of his investigation noting, “We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable.”

GOP Whip Tom Emmer lashed out at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on X and demanded answers asking, “4 million dollars of hard-earned tax dollars going to an education center that can’t even spell learning correctly. Care to explain this one, Tim Walz?”

Walz has responded to the fraud by attacking Shirley.

“This is what happens when they scapegoat and this is what they happens when they no longer hide the idea of white supremacy,” Walz said of the investigation.

Shirley responded to Walz in an interview on Fox News saying,“”Tim wants VOTES. There are entire apartment complexes where White people have been pushed out of these apartment complexes because Somalis have taken over and they’re inside of these towns like Minneapolis – where they can go and go get votes from these people!”

“And if you have 100,000 people that will vote for you because you’re going to enable and let this stuff happen and because you’re going to call White person racist for calling out facts, this is what’s going to happen to a state like Minnesota.”

“Minnesotans, they say Minnesota nice, but they are very upset. And I fully understand why they’re upset because they don’t have a governor who’s actually working for them, that he’s actually working against them!”

Watch:

As the massive fraud in the Somali immigrant community in Minnesota continues to unfold,  with the extent of the fraud potentially reaching more than $9 billion in stolen taxpayer money, renewed scrutiny is also focusing on how much of the billions stolen has gone directly into the hands of al-Shabaab terrorists.

An explosive investigative report by writers Ryan Thorpe and Chris Rufo reveals details on how American taxpayers in Minnesota are helping to fund terrorists in Somalia.
