There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Bad Bunny in the sugar cane field during his halftime show. Most Americans had never heard of him.
It’s worse than we thought.
The original numbers released showed Bad Bunny with respectable viewership on for the Super Bowl halftime. Meanwhile, TPUSA took a chunk of the viewers who tuned in to their halftime presentation. Over 25 million viewers watched the TPUSA pro-American lineup.
But Samba TV reported startling numbers this morning.
According to Samba, NEARLY HALF of the Super Bowl audience tuned out at halftime rather than watch Hispanic act Bad Bunny whose entire act was in Spanish.
This was a shocking report.
The Super Bowl lost 22.1 million viewers during the halftime entertainment.
Samba TV reported:
#SuperBowlLX delivered another massive night of television and the data tells an interesting story.
Our latest viewership insights reveal: 48.6M U.S. households tuned in to #SuperBowl LX, representing a 13% decrease from last year’s game 26.5M U.S. households watched #BadBunny’s #halftime performance, down 39% from Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 show
While viewership declined year-over-year, the Super Bowl remains one of TV’s most powerful cultural moments, delivering tens of millions of engaged viewers in an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
For brands and marketers, understanding these viewing patterns is essential for maximizing campaign impact and connecting with audiences when they’re most engaged.

Megyn Kelly lambasted Piers Morgan over the disgusting Bad Bunny halftime show at the Super Bowl.
Megyn Kelly joined Piers Morgan on Monday to discuss the controversial Super Bowl halftime show with Hispanic rapper Bad Bunny who rapped his lyrics in Spanish to the American audience.
The halftime show included men grinding on each other and filthy sex-filled lyrics after Bad Bunny’s words were translated to English and Americans could see what the show was about.
Apparently, Piers Morgan thought this was good entertainment. That’s when Megyn Kelly did not hold back and unloaded on the British reporter.
Megyn Kelly: I’m sorry, Piers, but to get up there and perform the whole show in Spanish is a middle finger to the rest of America. Who gives a damn that we have 40 million Spanish speakers in the United States? We have 310 million who don’t speak a lick of Spanish. This is supposed to be a unifying event for the country, not for the Latinos, not for one small group, but for the country. We don’t need a Black national anthem. We don’t need a Spanish-speaking, non-English performer performer, and we don’t need an ICE or America hater, featured as our primetime entertainment.
Megyn then went on to browbeat the British host, saying his attitude is why Britain and Europe have lost their culture. True.
Megyn Kelly: This attitude that you have right here is why you in Great Britain, have lost culture. You ceded your culture to a bunch of radical Muslims who came in and took over, and now it’s gone. We’re not allowing that here, whether it’s Hispanic, whether it’s Muslim. It’s not happening in the United States of America. That’s why President Trump was elected. And whether it’s Bad Bunny, who is American but refuses to speak English in his performances, or anybody else, we have to keep the Super Bowl, which is a quintessential American event. Football, that football is ours. They call it American football. The halftime show and everything around it needs to stay quintessential essentially American. Not Spanish, not Muslim, not anything other than good old-fashioned American apple pie. There should be a meatloaf, maybe some fried chicken, and an English-speaking performer. That’s what the Super Bowl should be.
At least one GOP lawmakers is calling on the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to take action after Bad Bunny’s shocking and vulgar halftime lyrics were translated from Spanish to English.
As TGP reported, on Sunday night, Hispanic entertainer Bad Bunny performed at the halftime show at Super Bowl LX. Commissioner Roger Goodell and his team picked this anti-American act, who no one has heard of and most people cannot understand, to play at the Super Bowl this year.
This was infuriating to millions of Americans. And that is when TPUSA stepped in and decided to hold their own halftime show. At least 25 million people tuned in to the alternative show.
During one scene you can see two men simulating sex with each other.
Bad Bunny’s Spanish lyrics were translated to English and they were much worse than previously thought:

Congressman Randy Fine (FL) called on the FCC to take action, including fines and broadcast license reviews against the NFL, NBC and Bad Bunny.
“Bad Bunny”‘s disgusting halftime show was illegal.
Had he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous.
Puerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules.
We are sending BrendanCarrFCC a letter calling for dramatic action, including fines and broadcast license reviews, against the NFL, NBC, and “Bad Bunny.”
WARNING: It’s Now Confirmed That Your Ring Doorbell Is SPYING On You! Last night during the Super Bowl, Ring Doorbell ran a commercial that I’m sure they thought was super cute and would get a ton of praise. But the opposite is happening. People are absolutely P….D OFF (and rightfully so) that their Ring Cameras and Ring Doorbells are spying on them — now confirmed.
Google Versus China’s Cyber Weapon The Chinese company’s malware piggybacked on millions of software downloads by U.S. consumers to their phones, tablets, computers, TVs, and projectors. The internet bandwidth of the victims is then rented by such proxy networks to malign state actors, criminals, and others seeking to use the internet anonymously – a national security threat of the greatest magnitude. The Google takedown required a federal court order.
Chinese Take a Hammer to U.S. Dollar By Instructing Their Banks to Dial Back Their Holdings of U.S. Treasuries For decades, US dominance has been primarily based on the dollar’s strength. Having the main reserve currency of the world has meant everyone wanted/needed our currency. Far more dollars are used outside the US than inside. Having a strong currency for an extended time has allowed us to enjoy a standard of living far beyond what we deserve. So what will happen now that the rest of the world is starting to move away from the US dollar?
Eye On Iran: Pentagon Held Live-Fire War Drills in Persian Gulf US forces conducted live-fire military drills in the Persian Gulf at a moment of ongoing Washington threats to attack Iran over its nuclear program as well as its ballistic missile arsenal. Last week, Navy Sailors from USS Santa Barbara participated in the exercise called Killer Tomato. The exercise provided realistic training to improve surface gunnery proficiency while reinforcing joint air-maritime integration, combat readiness, and deterrence across the region.
Report unmasks PA’s methods to continue terror stipends The Palestinian Authority has been engaged in a years-long deception, pretending to halt its pay-for-slay program by various means in order to hoodwink international donors, according to a report released by a Jerusalem-based watchdog group on Sunday. According to PMW, the P.A. paid 23,500 terrorists a total of about $315 million in 2025.
China People’s Liberation Army’s Push for Political Loyalty May Signal Preparation for War The People’s Liberation Army released new political regulations as leader Xi Jinping pushes for greater Party loyalty, a move that may mark a critical step in preparing the military for a potential war with the US over Taiwan. The new rules formalize how Communist Party organizations conduct elections inside the armed forces, reinforcing institutional Party control over military governance.
It Finally Happened: Digital Currency Act is Now Law in US, & It Changes Everything Last week, the Digital Currency Modernization Act was signed into law. There were no prominent headlines, no extended parliamentary debates, and no public campaigns explaining what was being implemented. For those who’ve followed the steady erosion of financial privacy, this moment was simply confirmation that the transition had reached its next stage. For everyone else, it marked the moment when “future technology” quietly became present reality.
Connecticut launches billboard campaign to promote pro-abortion hotline Connecticut has announced a new advertising campaign featuring billboards and web ads to promote awareness of the state’s abortion hotline to promote reproductive “access.” This week, the state announced the new ad campaign to spread the word, with Tong declaring, “Abortion is safe, legal and accessible here in Connecticut, and that’s the way it’s going to stay” – despite the grave harm it does to women and unborn children.
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show ignites Trump’s fury, divides viewers “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children…,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
EAGAN, MN — In a move intended to better reflect the state’s modern demographics and generate more interest in the team from the populace, the Minnesota Vikings announced that they were changing their name to the Minnesota Somali Pirates.
Though the franchise had built a proud tradition since joining the NFL in 1961, team ownership reportedly decided that updating the team’s name, logo, and mascot could lead to an increase in fan interest among Minnesota’s growing Somali migrant population.
“This could be a huge boost in interest and revenue,” said Steve Poppen, the team’s Executive Vice President and Chief Business Administration Officer. “We’re always looking for ways to draw more fans to the team, whether they be native Minnesotans, transplants from other states, or volatile third-world migrants who are slowly overtaking the state. We think they’re really going to get excited about the team’s new branding. Especially our new mascot, Walid the Pirate, who will take the place of the beloved but outdated Viktor the Viking. Even our new logo conveys the message, ‘Look at me — I am the football team now.'”
The team said it was leaning into the change, including making giant foam machetes and AK-47s available in the team store. “We want the new fans to feel right at home,” Poppen explained. “We can already tell that opposing teams and their fans will be terrified to come into the hostile territory of our stadium. Venture here at your own risk. I mean that literally.”
At publishing time, the team also announced that the Somali national anthem “Qolobaa Calankeed” would now be played before the start of every home game.

Former Congressman Trey Gowdy – Screencap of Twitter/X video.
Former Congressman Trey Gowdy has a harsh prediction about John Bolton’s future. When asked by Sean Hannity of FOX News how this all plays out, Gowdy basically predicted that Bolton is going to spend the rest of his life in jail.
Now, some people on the right don’t like Trey Gowdy and some might even call him a RINO, but his comments here are important. Prior to running for a house seat, Gowdy was a prosecutor. A good one. So when he says this it carries more weight. He knows his way around complicated legal issues.
JONATHAN TURLEY, FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR, GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY LAW PROFESSOR: No, they are cut and dry. As a longtime criminal defense attorney, I got to tell you, 18 counts of this kind really concentrates the mind because the jurors tend to look at this as a very simple question. Did he have classified information?
Did he mishandle it? And two arguments will not work in that courtroom. One is that this is all old classified information. It doesn’t matter if it’s old or brand new. If it’s still classified, you violate the statute. The other argument is that everyone does this.
HANNITY: Yeah. All right. I’m gonna ask you both an exit question.
Trey, how does this play out?
GOWDY: He is convicted, and he spends the remainder of his natural life in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
HANNITY: Wow, that’s a prediction. How about Leticia James? As long as we’re, you know, you’re dispelling all this good news for people that believe in justice.
GOWDY: Oh, I think the facts in Bolton’s case are stronger than the other two.
Gowdy: Bolton Will Spend The Rest Of His Life In Prison
Again, put aside your feelings about Trey Gowdy and just focus on what he is saying about John Bolton’s future. It’s a pretty harsh prediction and it’s coming from someone who knows the legal system.
After the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, key fixtures in the year’s biggest football game openly gave all the glory to God.
Case-in-point: Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni immediately credited the Lord while accepting the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday after his team’s big 40-22 victory.
“All glory to God,” Sirianni said.
And that’s not all. The victorious coach also told Fox Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi that he and his team feel truly “blessed” and grateful for their talent and accomplishments.
“God’s blessed us very much,” Sirianni said. “He gave us all the talents to be able to get here, so first and foremost, thanks to Him. … Thank God, thank you Jesus.”
And Sirianni wasn’t alone in looking above following the team’s big win.
Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was named the game’s Most Valuable Player after completing two touchdowns and 17 of the 22 passes, also praised God for the victory.
“God is good — He’s greater than all the highs and the lows,” Hurts said as he took home the Pete Rozelle Trophy. “Couldn’t be here without my teammates. The effort, the determination everybody displayed to get to this point.”
He continued, “It’s never been about what any one of us does, it’s always been about what we do and how we’re responding to certain things.”
Hurts’ comment about the “highs and the lows” is one he’s made before. In fact, leading up to Sunday’s game, Sports Spectrum quoted him referencing this very statement while speaking about the importance of faith in his life.
“My faith has always been a part of me,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to root myself in that and keep Him in the center of my life and everything that I do. So through the highs and the lows, He’s greater than all of them, and that’s something that I can always acknowledge.”
“I’ve always wanted to root myself in that and keep Him in the center of my life in everything I do.”
What’s perhaps most interesting about both the Eagles and Chiefs is that numerous members of both teams often speak about Christianity and faith.
Before Sunday’s big game, CBN News noted how Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also openly given glory to Jesus.
“It’s important to me every single day,” he said. “It’s not about football, it’s just giving glory to God for being able to walk around and live my life, to have a beautiful family, to be able to have the impact on others and I’m going to use that stage and that platform win or lose to give glory back to Him, to hopefully bring others closer to Him and that they can have the same love for life that I have because of that.”
And Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson has also spoken about the “humbling” position he’s in on the team, as he seeks the Lord’s guidance each and every day.
“Each day and especially each game I just say ‘God use me for your glory’ and that doesn’t mean winning football games always but just to be in a position and this platform and knowing it’s by His grace and His providence is just, is just know that He’s treating me much better than anything I deserve,” he said.
Plus, who can forget the intense controversy surrounding Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker after his viral Benedictine College commencement speech last year during which he accused former president Joe Biden of vocally supporting the “murder” of the unborn, and also lamented “dangerous gender ideologies,” among other issues.
Other Eagles players aside from Hurts are also deeply faithful as you can read here.
This Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2024 World Series; the Boston Celtics won the 2024 NBA Finals; and the Florida Panthers won the 2024 Stanley Cup.
Why does the NFL use Roman numerals when no other league does?
The answer is simple. The Super Bowl is held in the calendar year following the beginning of the league’s regular season schedule. So, would Sunday’s game be the 2024 NFL Championship, even though it’s played in 2025? Would it be the 2025 NFL Championship, even though it culminates the 2024 season? Of course, the league could use common numerals, making this Sunday’s game Super Bowl 58. However, Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt suggested in 1970 that the big game employ Roman numerals instead, lending the game a kind of gravitas as a major event.
Mr. Hunt is also credited with coining the name “Super Bowl.” This was after he helped launch the American Football League to compete with the National Football League (the two merged in 1970, creating the AFC and the NFC). He also established the Dallas Texans, who soon became the Kansas City Chiefs. His son, Clark Hunt, continues to lead the team, turning them into one of the league’s most successful franchises. If the Chiefs are victorious Sunday, they will become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.
And so, in three days the world will participate in the continuing legacy of Lamar Hunt. But in my mind, the remarkable success of the NFL, the Super Bowl, and the Chiefs are not his most significant achievement. It was my privilege to be the pastor of Clark Hunt and his family in Dallas. They are among the most gracious, humble people I have ever known.
Their personal integrity is Lamar Hunt’s most enduring legacy, one that will continue far beyond this Sunday’s game.
Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar
The contest will be significant for other reasons as well:
Donald Trump is expected to become the first sitting US president to attend the game. He will also tape an interview with Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier that will air during the pregame show.
The Super Bowl will be played at the New Orleans Superdome, which has hosted more legendary sports moments than any other venue in the country. The NFL vows that the venue will be the “safest place to be” on Sunday night.
Music superstar Taylor Swift will be attending, sitting in a suite that costs a reported $2 million per ticket.
By contrast, Kendrick Lamar, who won five Grammys last Sunday, will perform at the halftime show for free. This is typical for Super Bowl performers; the boost to their careers more than offsets any payment they forego.
However, it’s doubtful that any of this will endure in our collective minds for long. Even the contest itself will be truly memorable only for the winner, and only for a short time for the rest of us. Do you remember who lost last year’s Super Bowl? What about the year before, or the year before that? Who won the game three years ago? Ten years ago?
This is the way of our frenetic, news-driven, constantly changing society. Cultural “vibes,” prizing feelings over facts and mood over meaning, are the currency of our day. “Social proof,” amplified in the digital age, is undoubtedly powerful in shaping our decision-making.
In this regard, there is good news for the good news of the gospel:
Joe Rogan, considered the most popular podcaster in the world, recently hosted Christian apologist Wesley Huff for a conversation about the truthfulness of our faith. Their discussion has 5.9 million views on YouTube so far.
Noted atheist Richard Dawkins is now calling himself a “cultural Christian.”
Famed scholars Niall Ferguson and his wife Ayaan Hirsi Ali have become public Christians.
Popular influencer Jordan Peterson’s latest book affirms the Judeo-Christian worldview as foundational to society and states that the proclamation of “man as an image of God” is “perhaps the greatest idea ever revealed.”
Young men are showing more interest in religion than in many years.
But as with Sunday’s Super Bowl, today’s headlines can quickly become tomorrow’s old news.
“If we don’t know what kind of God God is”
This is why we need always to remember that “the Lᴏʀᴅ reigns forever” (Psalm 146:10 HCSB). He alone is the king of the universe. He alone has the power to bring us the purpose and significance we long to experience.
To my point: Americans are wealthier than ever but less happy. As sociologist James Davison Hunter has observed, nihilism (the belief that life has no overarching purpose) is the prevailing sentiment of our post-Christian, secularized culture. The only power we truly possess is the capacity to choose how we will respond to our powerlessness.
By contrast, God alone “satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:5).
Israel’s most beloved king acknowledged this fact as he prayed, “With you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light” (Psalm 36:9).
The wisest man who ever lived agreed: “Trust in the Lᴏʀᴅ with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6).
Paul was one of the great scholars of Judaism (Acts 22:3) and “blameless” under the law (Philippians 3:6), but he testified that he “suffered the loss of all things” by comparison to “the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (v. 8).
When we experience personally a God who is love, our lives are suffused with significance and joy. A. W. Tozer was right: “Faith is confidence in the character of God, and if we don’t know what kind of God God is, we can’t have faith.”
According to the scholar D. A. Carson,
“To know God is to be transformed, and thus to be introduced to a life that could not otherwise be experienced.”
NEW ORLEANS – Super Bowl 59 is just a few days away and this year’s big game is at the Caesar’s Superdome here in the Crescent City.
The traditional Super Bowl opening night kicked off on Monday, and CBN Sports was there to talk to some of the players from the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
More than 200 million are expected to watch the Super Bowl this year, and the players know there’s no bigger stage to proclaim the gospel.
Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes said, “It’s important to me every single day. It’s not about football, it’s just giving glory to God for being able to walk around and live my life, to have a beautiful family, to be able to have the impact on others and I’m going to use that stage and that platform win or lose to give glory back to Him, to hopefully bring others closer to Him and that they can have the same love for life that I have because of that.”

Chiefs Wide Receiver Justin Watson said, “It’s humbling. Kind of each day and especially each game I just say ‘God use me for your glory’ and that doesn’t mean winning football games always but just to be in a position and this platform and knowing it’s by His grace and His providence is just, is just know that He’s treating me much better than anything I deserve.”
Eagles Tight End Dallas Goedert said, “I believe. I’m a Christian, and it’s so, it’s so important to have a solid foundation and that, my mom instilled that in me. And you know all credit goes out to Him. And you know I’m just so blessed that He’s been giving me this opportunity you know to show the skills that He gave me on such a big platform.”
Eagles Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. said, “There’s been times I’ve had injuries, I’ve been out for like a year, for the season, and I have to come back harder, come back from those, recovered from that. I feel like those have been really tough but God really got me through it.”
New Orleans is known for its spicy cuisine. This year, at Super Bowl 59, we’re seeing an additional bit of “salt” sprinkled in amongst the players.
Guest post by J. Christopher Alexander of Louisiana Citizen Advocacy Group
Shakira and Jennifer Lopez during the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show (Screenshot: NFL)
In a January 16, 2025 letter to the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and the Louisiana Stadium and Expo. District, numerous Louisiana state senators, representatives, and prominent advocacy groups have expressed strong concerns about the increasingly vile displays and performances that have come to define Super Bowl halftime shows.
This year’s Super Bowl is in New Orleans, Louisiana and the letter makes it clear that halftime performances that mock God and objectify woman are not welcome in Louisiana.
The letter from 17 Louisiana elected officials and 15 Louisiana advocacy organizations notes that in 2024 alone “10 million state taxpayer dollars were taken from the La.
State Major Events Incentive Fund and were given to the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, including a specific appropriation of $5 million from that incentive fund, for economic development initiatives related to Super Bowl LIX.”
Anybody who has watched past Super Bowl halftime activities doesn’t need to be convinced that many such performances are blatant displays of narcissistic vulgarity.
The letter details a few of them:
“For example, in 2020, Jennifer Lopez wore little clothing and was groped by male and female dancers on stage, while the performer made sexually suggestive gestures and performed on a stripper pole.
It was widely reported in 2020 that Lopez’s performance generated thousands upon thousands of viewer complaints to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and on social media.
Based upon the large number of complaints, clearly other Americans found this performance violated basic community decency standards. Further, who can forget the infamous 2004 halftime show with Janet Jackson disrobing?
Jackson’s exposed bare breast was excused by one of her fellow performers as a “wardrobe malfunction” but it initially generated a fine against CBS from the FCC for more than $500,000.
Had that 2004 performance taken place in Louisiana and been proven to be intentional, it would have violated Louisiana’s obscenity law (R.S. 14:106) which prohibits such public exposure.
At the 2023 halftime show, performer Rihanna was shown groping herself while she sang song lyrics that were so offensive that few Louisiana adults could read those lyrics before an audience without shame.”
Louisianans love sports, and the letter recognizes and applauds the great economic benefits our State receives from major sporting events such as the Super Bowl.
These benefits, however, are far less important than ensuring that displays associated with such events occurring in our State are consistent with the values of a majority of Louisiana citizens, especially when our tax dollars contribute to them.
The signers of the referenced letter should be applauded for their strong voice on this issue.
