The West Coast Is Being Absolutely Pummeled By Trillions Of Gallons Of Rain, Wind Speeds Of Up To 144 MPH, And Flooding That Will Close Roads For Months | The Economic Collapse

The slow-motion disaster that we are witnessing on the west coast is unlike anything we have ever seen before.  A series of atmospheric rivers has already dumped trillions of gallons of water on the region, and trillions of gallons of additional water will fall before the end of the year.  This has caused some rivers to rise to the highest levels that we have ever seen.  Meanwhile, some areas in the Northwest have been repeatedly pummeled by extremely high winds.  As you will see below, some of the wind speeds that have been recorded are difficult to believe.  For a long time I have been warning my readers that weather patterns have been going nuts all over the globe, but of course many people will never be convinced until it actually happens where they live.  For tens of millions of Americans that live along the west coast, a wake up call has finally arrived.

According to the Weather Channel, the parade of storms that we have been witnessing will continue to roll on into next week…

A parade of Pacific storms accompanied by atmospheric rivers will continue to march into the West Coast into Christmas week, spreading the threat of heavy rain from already flooded areas of western Washington to Oregon and California.

To say it’s been a terrible stretch of weather in parts of the West has been an understatement.

The last sentence in that quote made me smile.

Yes, “a terrible stretch of weather” would most certainly be an understatement

First, record flooding hit parts of western Washington. Then, as flood-ravaged areas were recovering, a powerhouse windstorm blasted much of the Northwest and Rockies Wednesday, with winds clocked up to 144 mph and over 160 reports of wind damage in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.

I can’t recall a windstorm of this magnitude ever hitting the Pacific Northwest in modern times.

It is being reported that at least nine different states experienced wind speeds of over 100 mph…

High winds slammed the Pacific Northwest and Rockies Wednesday and Wednesday night, cutting power to three-quarters of a million customers at peak, according to PowerOutage.US. That number was down to 325,000 as of Thursday morning.

The highest wind gusts in the region were on mountain tops — 144 mph at Mount Coffin, Wyoming, 142 mph at Coldwater Ridge, Washington, and 138 mph at Mount Hood, Oregon. Winds gusted over 100 mph on mountaintops in at least nine different states.

Now that storm has moved into the middle of the country, and blizzard conditions are expected in much of the Northern Plains

“Wind gusts of 80+ mph, several feet of mountain snow, and blizzard conditions are in the forecast for the northern and western U.S. today and tomorrow,” the forecast said.

A map included with the post on X showed that while the entirety of the Northern Plains was expected to see some impacts from the storm, some states will likely be hit by widespread major impacts. These include Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Colorado and Idaho.

But it is the west coast that has been getting hit harder than anyone else.

Some areas of Washington state have already had about 2 feet of rain, and more rain is on the way.

Yes, Washington state always gets rain, but this is truly unusual.

If you can believe it, approximately 5 trillion gallons of water fell on the state in just a 7 day period…

Warm water and air and unusual weather conditions tracing back as far as tropical cyclone flooding in Indonesia helped supercharge stubborn atmospheric rivers that have drenched Washington state with almost 5 trillion gallons (19 trillion liters) of rain in the past seven days, threatening record flood levels, meteorologists said.

The Skagit River rose to the highest level ever recored.

So did the Snohomish River.

Needless to say, many other bodies of water flooded as well.

According to Governor Bob Ferguson, a 49 mile stretch of US Highway 2 will be closed for months as a result of the flooding…

Massive flooding conditions persist across western Washington as another round of heavy rain and wind targets the region, adding to the damage from last week’s historic flooding and raising renewed concerns about vulnerable levees, landslide risks, and long-term transportation disruptions.

On Tuesday, Gov. Bob Ferguson said a 49-mile stretch of US Highway 2 between Skykomish and Leavenworth will be closed for months after floodwaters and mudslides heavily damaged the roadway.

Unfortunately, more rain is in the forecast.

In fact, it is being projected that some areas of western Oregon could get more than 10 inches of rain from this next storm…

A general 4-8 inches of rain is forecast to fall on western Oregon, with slightly less in the Interstate 5 corridor near Portland. From 8-12 inches of rain with an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 16 inches is projected for the western slopes of the Oregon Cascades.

This amount of rain will be enough to unleash moderate to major flooding along both small streams and rivers in western Oregon. A few locations may experience crests close to record levels, such as in the Portland area. Motorists should be prepared for areas of high water and road washouts. Mudslides are also a danger with the storm.

Meanwhile, meteorologist Ryan Maue is telling us that the Sierra Mountains in California could see up to 30 inches of precipitation from the “firehose of moisture” that is approaching…

California is looking at historic precipitation from onslaught of atmospheric rivers in next 10-days.

Could be 20″ or 30″ mostly rain in the Sierra from “firehose of moisture” directed right at coast with strong jet stream.

This going to be really bad.

He isn’t exaggerating.

It certainly looks like the next couple of weeks will be really bad.

If you live in an area along the west coast that is prone to flooding, you should be doing what you can to get prepared.

Of course this is just the beginning.

Global weather patterns have been getting increasingly unstable for quite a while, and I am entirely convinced that what is coming in the years ahead will be much worse than anything that we are experiencing now.

We really are living in extremely chaotic times, and the insane weather that we are currently witnessing is just one element of “the perfect storm” that is now upon us.

China Formally Arrests 18 Zion Church Leaders in Largest Crackdown on Underground Christians in Years | Worthy News

by Emmitt Barry, with reporting from Washington D.C. Bureau Staff

(Worthy News) – In one of the most sweeping crackdowns on underground Christianity in recent years, Chinese authorities have formally arrested 18 leaders of the Beijing Zion Church, according to the Christian rights organization ChinaAid. The arrests finalize detentions that began in early October as part of a multi-province operation targeting unregistered Christian groups.

The detainees are being charged with “illegally using information networks,” a vague offence that carries a maximum three-year sentence and has increasingly been employed to silence clergy who refuse to place their congregations under Communist Party control, according to ChinaAid and The Epoch Times.

Nationwide Raid Beginning October 9

The crackdown began on October 9 in Beihai, Guangxi, where police launched a coordinated action across Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan. Within days, nearly 30 pastors, ministers, and congregants were detained, including prominent pastor Mingri “Ezra” Jin, founder of Zion Church and one of China’s most visible unregistered Christian leaders.

The arrests drew swift criticism from the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, both calling on Beijing to release the detainees.

Under Chinese law, suspects cannot be held for more than 37 days without formal arrest. Rights groups say police rushed through formal arrest procedures to prevent international pressure from forcing their release.

“A Chilling Milestone” in China’s War on Independent Churches

ChinaAid president Dr. Bob Fu called the development “a chilling milestone in the CCP’s all-out war on Christianity.”

“These pastors and co-workers are being treated as criminals simply because they faithfully shepherded a large, legally unregistered church that refused to submit to CCP control and surveillance,” Fu said. “Their only ‘crime’ is preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Christian Solidarity Worldwide echoed the condemnation, with CEO Scott Bower stating that the detainees were “targeted solely for the peaceful exercise of their religious beliefs.”

Zion Church’s Long History of Persecution

Founded in 2007, Zion Church grew rapidly to nearly 5,000 members across 50 cities. Authorities shut down its Beijing premises in 2018 after leaders refused to install government surveillance cameras inside the sanctuary, forcing the congregation underground and online.

New regulations in China now ban all unsanctioned online preaching, effectively criminalizing Zion Church’s operations.

Wider Crackdown on House Churches

The arrests come amid a broader surge in crackdowns on unregistered churches throughout China. Open Doors reports that at least 70 Christians were detained in September alone, with dozens of house churches ceasing operations entirely under pressure.

Accusations used by authorities include “fraud,” “running an illegal business,” and “organizing unlawful meetings.” In some cases, church treasurers were accused of financial misconduct despite no complaints from within the congregation.

One Open Doors partner described the current climate: “Due to the recent crackdown, our church has come to a standstill. More than 80 groups within the house church movement have ceased meeting.”

Growing International Concern

Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned the detentions, urging Beijing to release the Zion Church leaders immediately. International monitors estimate China is home to more than 96 million Christians, with the vast majority attending unregistered churches that Beijing views as a threat to Party authority.

Social Media Explodes as Cracker Barrel Replaces Playful Messages on Classic Peg Game with Woke Language And a Misspelled Word | The Gateway Pundit

Cracker Barrel appears determined to alienate every last conservative customer as it doubles down on wokeness. This time, it’s over their classic game.

As TGP readers may know, Cracker Barrel has a legendary peg game on all the restaurant’s tables. Previously, the game trolled players who had trouble in classic Southern style: “Leave only one—you’re a genius. Leave two, and you’re purty smart. Leave three, and you’re just plain dumb. Leave four or mor’n, and you’re just plain eg-no-ra-moose.”

Now, the game has been altered so as not to hurt the feelings of any snowflake. Now, Fox News reveals the message reads as follows when a player keeps stumbling:

“Don’t be embarassed, try again!”

In addition to the new PC language, people in the company apparently failed English in grade school. How embarrassing (this is the correct spelling).

A Cracker Barrel spokesperson, though, told Country Living that nothing has really changed despite the woke message.

“The peg game is still the same peg game our guests have known and loved for years, and some may look visually different now, but the rules and fun remain completely unchanged,” the spokesperson said.

Social media users erupted in anger and amusement upon learning about Cracker Barrel’s latest stupid decision. They also noticed the misspelled word.

In Cracker Barrel’s process of rebranding from old-timey to modern old-timey and killing their business, they woke-ified the peg game to minimize hurt feelings of those who don’t do so well. Did they actually misspell a key word? pic.twitter.com/WYpeOCGQCN

Cracker Barrel’s gone soft with this woke peg game nonsense can’t even handle a little friendly jab anymore! This is why I’m done eating there; they’re just pandering to feelings over fun.
Hope they learn quick before they lose more customers like me

— Caroline (@car_oline2001) August 26, 2025

Go woke, go broke.

Cracker Barrel are going to find out the hard way.

— Ryan Dally (@Ryandally08) August 26, 2025

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Cracker Barrel’s woke CEO Julie Felss Masino sparked a social media uproar after making an infuriating change to an iconic part of the restaurant chain.

Last Tuesday, the company announced that it was replacing its 47-year-old logo as part of an attempted $700 million rebrand. The old logo shows the restaurant name next to a man sitting on a chair and leaning on a barrel.

Now, the only thing left is the name. No more man and barrel.

A Brief Visual History Of US Trade Disputes | ZeroHedge

As global policy uncertainty continues to dominate the headlines, maintaining a balanced perspective is crucial. For investors, understanding the broader trade landscape – including where America’s largest trade deficits and surpluses lie – can help identify both emerging risks and overlooked opportunities.

In partnership with New York Life InvestmentsVisual Capitalist’s Julia Wendling breaks down the key players in America’s trade ecosystem – offering a clearer view of the relationships shaping U.S. economic dynamics.

Who Are America’s Primary Trade Partners?

A country’s largest trading partners play a pivotal role in shaping its economic stability, currency strength, and market potential—all of which influence investor sentiment.

For the U.S., trade is concentrated among three key partners: Canada, Mexico, and China. Canada and Mexico, closely tied through the USMCA trade agreement, account for 16.9% and 16.2% of total trade, respectively. China follows at 7.0%.

Rank Country Percent of Total Trade
1 🇨🇦 Canada 16.9%
2 🇲🇽 Mexico 16.2%
3 🇨🇳 China 7.0%
4 🇳🇱 Netherlands 4.3%
5 🇬🇧 United Kingdom 3.9%
6 🇯🇵 Japan 3.9%
7 🇩🇪 Germany 3.7%
8 🇰🇷 South Korea 3.2%
9 🇧🇷 Brazil 2.4%
10 🇸🇬 Singapore 2.2%
11 🇫🇷 France 2.1%
12 🇹🇼 Taiwan 2.1%
13 🇮🇳 India 2.0%
14 🇦🇺 Australia 1.7%
15 🇧🇪 Belgium 1.7%
Other 26.9%

The remainder of the top 15 trading partners spans Europe and Asia.

America’s Largest Trade Deficits and Surpluses

Trade imbalances are a frequent flashpoint in economic and political discussions. So, where do the biggest gaps lie?

The largest trade deficits are with China, Mexico, and Vietnam. Notably, the U.S. deficit with China alone ($295 billion) nearly equals its combined deficits with Mexico and Vietnam ($296 billion).

Rank Country Trade Deficits ($ billions)
1 🇨🇳 China -295.4
2 🇲🇽 Mexico -171.8
3 🇻🇳 Vietnam -123..5
4 🇮🇪 Ireland -86.7
5 🇩🇪 Germany -84.8
6 🇹🇼 Taiwan -73.9
7 🇯🇵 Japan -68.5
8 🇰🇷 South Korea -66.0
9 🇨🇦 Canada -63.3
10 🇮🇳 India -45.7

On the other side of the ledger, the U.S. runs trade surpluses with countries such as the Netherlands ($55.5 billion), Hong Kong ($21.9 billion), and Australia ($17.9 billion).

Rank Country Trade Surpluses ($ billions)
1 🇳🇱 Netherlands 55.5
2 🇭🇰 Hong Kong 21.9
3 🇦🇺 Australia 17.9
4 🇬🇧 United Kingdom 11.9
5 🇧🇷 Brazil 7.4
6 🇧🇪 Belgium 6.3
7 🇸🇬 Singapore 2.8
8 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia 0.4

There is also a sizable surplus with South and Central America, totaling $47.3 billion.

A Brief History of U.S. Trade Disputes

The U.S. has a long tradition of using tariffs and other protective measures to support domestic industries—often targeting its top trading partners.

Before the latest round of Trump-era tariffs, the U.S. and Canada clashed in several notable disputes, including the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs (1930), the Lumber War (1982), and the first wave of Trump tariffs in 2018.

Insights Amid Uncertainty

In times of heightened uncertainty, clear insights are more valuable than ever. By unpacking the U.S.’s trade relationships and historical context, investors can gain a deeper understanding of potential market impacts—and spot opportunities that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Many a time have we seen coming to our church, a fine strutting fellow, with long feathers of prayer behind him. He could pray gloriously; and he has come strutting in, with all his majesty and pride, and said, “Surely I must come; I have everything about me; am I not rich and polite: have I not learning and talent?” In a very little while we have found him to be nothing but an old prattling jackdaw, having none of the true feathers belonging to him; by some accident one of his borrowed feathers has dropped out, and we have found him to be a hypocrite. I beseech you, do not be hypocrites. The glory of the gospel is not that it paints ravens white, and whitewashes blackbirds, but that it turns them into doves. It is the glory of our religion not that it makes a man seem what he is not, but that it makes him something else. It takes the raven and turns him into a dove; his ravenish heart becomes a dove’s heart. It is not the feathers that are changed, but the man himself. Glorious gospel, which takes a lion, and does not cut the lion’s mane off, and then cover him with a sheep’s skin, but makes him into a lamb! O church of God! these that have come like doves to their windows are trophies of regenerating grace, which has transformed them, and made them as new creatures in Christ Jesus.

FOR MEDITATION: We should expect to be among wolves in the world, but beware of them when they are in the church, undetected and unconverted (Matthew 7:15).

Drone Problem Solved After They Try Flying Over Texas | Babylon Bee

Article Image

TEXAS — The recent issue of unidentified drones hovering over American skies was solved suddenly today after the drones attempted to fly over Texas.

Within seconds of the drones entering the Lone Star State, the sound of heavy gunfire split the air as Texans pumped thousands of rounds of ammunition into the sky.

“Yee-haw!” shouted local man Dean Billings, grinning as he blasted drones with his neighbor. “Been waiting for this day to come forever. Feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven. Oh man, here comes some more, Bill!

According to sources, the entire drone fleet was decimated within just a few minutes of the drones reaching Texas airspace. “Welp, I think we fixed the drone problem,” said local man Carston Taylor, surveying the piles of wreckage. “I sure hope they send a few more our way. Oh, and maybe some of them spy balloons too, that would be awesome.”

At publishing time, the source of the drones had remained a mystery as Texans declined to inspect the debris and instead continued firing shotgun shells at the rubble.

6 Reasons Advent Is the Perfect Time to Refocus on Christ

Advent invites us to refocus on Christ, silencing the season’s distractions.

6 Reasons Advent Is the Perfect Time to Refocus on Christ

Our world is filled with distractions. With a phone always in reach, we can scroll through social media feeds, search for information, watch a video, or send a text. An instant dopamine hit draws us in at the risk of being unable to stay focused – a risk most of us take daily. Constantly looking at our phones may seem normal, but it can negatively affect our interactions with others, the way we engage with media and books, and our productivity at work. For Christians, the question also arises: How can we refocus on Christ in this technologically wired world if our thoughts are constantly being tugged in various directions?

One way is by celebrating Advent.

This is more than just decorating or counting down the days before Christmas. To refocus on Jesus, we must truly engage with Advent, taking the time to think about what this season means. For Advent invites us to pause and consider the larger story of our world. We are shown that life is about more than staring at screens or scrolling – our Savior has come to rescue us from sin and death and is coming again.

This truth has the power to change everything if we step away from our hectic schedules and distractions and refocus on Christ.

NOVEMBER 28 | THE BOTTOM LINE

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

—Genesis 3:24

Yes, worship of the loving God is man’s whole reason for existence. That is why we are born and that is why we are born again from above. That is why we were created and that is why we have been recreated. That is why there was a genesis at the beginning, and that is why there is a re-genesis, called regeneration.

That is also why there is a church. The Christian church exists to worship God first of all. Everything else must come second or third or fourth or fifth….

Sad, sad indeed, are the cries of so many today who have never discovered why they were born. It brings to mind the poet Milton’s description of the pathetic lostness and loneliness of our first parents. Driven from the garden, he says, “they took hand in hand and through the valley made their solitary way.” WHT056-057

Lord, use me today to point someone to the way out of the wilderness. Sad, sad indeed is the fact that so many of my own acquaintances may not yet know why they were born. Speak through me today. Amen. 1

NOVEMBER 19 | GOD AND THE INDIVIDUAL

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 4:8

When the eternal Son of God became the Son of Man and walked on this earth, He always called individuals to His side. Jesus did not come into the world to deal with statistics!

He deals with individuals and that is why the Christian message is and always has been: “God loves the world! He loves the masses and throngs only because they are made up of individuals. He loves every individual person in the world!”

In the great humanistic tide of our day, the individual is no longer the concern. We are pressed to think of the human race in a lump. We are schooled to think of the human race in terms of statistics. In many nations, the state is made to be everything and the individual means nothing at all.

Into the very face and strength of this kind of humanism comes the Christian evangel, the good news of salvation, wondrously alight with the assurance for all who will listen:

“You are an individual and you matter to God! His concern is not for genes and species but for the individuals He has created!”

Father God, Your Word says that You knew each one of us before we were born (see Jeremiah 1:5), You personally knit us together in our mother’s womb (see Psalm 139:13), and You planned each day of our life (see Psalm 139:16). I praise You, Lord! My only response to this can be to live every day for Your glory.1

November 5 | Confronting Giants

Scripture reading: Hebrews 10:35–39

Key verse: Numbers 13:30

Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

In times of trouble the key to victory instead of defeat is perspective. In her book, Streams in the Desert, Mrs. Charles Cowman quotes an anonymous writer who has the right perspective on trials and difficulties:

Yes, they saw the giants [in Numbers 13:33], but Caleb and Joshua saw God!… Giants stand for great difficulties; and giants are stalking everywhere. They are in our families, in our churches, in our social life, in our own hearts; and we must overcome them or they will eat us up, as these men of old said of the giants of Canaan …

Now the fact is, unless we have the overcoming faith we shall be eaten up, consumed by the giants in our path. Let us have the spirit of faith that these men of faith had, and see God, and He will take care of the difficulties.

The nation of Israel did not face trouble when they were standing still or thinking of retreating. Only when they moved forward, trusting God, did they face the grimmest trials. Many times a sure sign that you are doing what God has called you to do is opposition. Satan and his workers have one goal in mind, and that is to keep you from being all that God has planned for you to become.

If you sense there is a spiritual battle brewing, go immediately to God in prayer. Tell Him all you are facing. Prayer is your strength, and His Word your greatest weapon.

Lord, I am facing battles today. Give me an overcoming, victorious faith.1

Radicalized Squirrels In MAGA Hats Begin Uprising | Babylon Bee

Article Image

U.S. — After government authorities seized and executed the beloved squirrel known as “Peanut”, squirrels across America donned tiny MAGA hats and launched a mass uprising.

“For Peanut!!” shouted the squirrels as their forces stormed government buildings. “Vive la révolution!”

Anti-government sentiment had steadily risen among squirrels over the past decades, creating a powder keg of anger ready to ignite. “Peanut’s death lit the match,” said organizer Squeaks O’Hoolihan. “Too long, we squirrels have stayed dormant, losing our freedoms to the government inch by inch. No more. Today, we stand and fight, fight, fight! The fires of revolution shall spread across the nation like a cleansing balm.”

The uprising began in New York, where government commandos busted into Peanut’s humble abode and killed the kindly squirrel. “Within hours, there were tens of thousands of squirrels gathered in Central Park, each wearing a MAGA hat,” said police officer Darryl Smith. “The squirrels were prepared, organized, and unbelievably disciplined. We’re in real trouble.”

At publishing time, a squirrel army had been seen heading for the Capitol with a contingent of buffalos.

News Weakly – 10/26/2024 | Winging It

Who’s Minding the Coop?
The report is out. Apparently last year “multiple incursions” of drones hit sensitive military an intelligence sites in the US, some as large as 20′ long. Indications are they were ship launched. The incursions lasted for more than two weeks. In all this, the military … did not respond. Like the decision to let the Chinese balloon drift across the entire nation, the government opted to smile for the cameras. So if the military is not allowed to protect our secrets or their installations, who is protecting us now? I know: our “nanny state” government. “Shh, there now, relax. We know what’s best.” Yeah, right.

Who Knew?
I always thought it was New York City, but Chicago is “the rattiest city” in the U.S. … for 10 years running. You go, Chicago. Maybe it will distract from the black-on-black crime that plagues your city.

Thanks for the Laugh
The story is of little significance. A couple people were arrested after releasing 200 minks from a Pennsylvania farm. I just liked the headline on my news feed. “Minks released, two arrested.” Apparently, despite the headline, no minks were actually arrested in the making of this story.

Thanks for the … Bidenomics
The US housing crisis worsened with home sales falling to the lowest level since 2010. I’m wondering if Dems really think 4 more years of this is a good thing.

A Fearsome Force
A Florida mother is suing Google’s AI for her 14-year-old son’s suicide. Apparently the mother failed to regulate her son’s activities online or teach him the difference between reality and fiction. He became deeply attached to his chatbot “friend” and killed himself because he couldn’t live outside that world. On one hand, AI is nonsense. No such thing. Just try an “AI search engine” and you’ll see. On the other hand, AI is developed by amoral developers, making it intrinsically dangerous. And, in the end, the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Should we trust ourselves to AI with that hanging over us?

As an afterthought, here is an article about how AI is being developed to create AI addiction. Really troubling.

Fake News You Can Trust
Perhaps the worst allegation yet on Trump. A woman claims he touched her inappropriately with classified documents while praising Hitler. That ought to do it. Two stories side by side: Kamala told a citizen, “You’re at the wrong town hall” after they tried to ask her a question followed by Joel Osteen telling a man, “You’re at the wrong church” after he proclaimed, “Jesus is Lord.” But this was my favorite this week. Apparently even Dominion voting machines are refusing to vote for Kamala.

Must be true; I read it on the Internet.

October 16 | What’s Your Name?

And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
(Genesis 32:27)

Don’t be surprised if God asks you the same question He asked Jacob. God forced Jacob to look at his identity! He wrestled him into a revelation of who he was—not who others said he was. His answer was pitiful! “I’m Jacob” (which means “Deceiver”). His parents gave it to him, others called him by it, so he believed that’s who he was, and that’s who he’d always be. Child of God don’t buy it! You’re not who others say you are! Why should they name you? Determine who you are before God; let Him set the limits of your success!

Why should others be allowed to live at their highest potential—but not you? If you can hear me behind that protective shell, then listen: You’re more than your childhood! More than your past! More than the color of your skin! More than your bank account! More than your circumstances! Tell them “You’re confusing me with somebody else. God says my name is “Israel,” a prince with God. If I’m a prince, then I have the right to be treated like one!” The Word says, “You’re a royal priesthood” (l Peter 2:9). “You’re an overcomer” (1 John 2:13–14). “You’re the head and not the tail; you’re above and not beneath” (Deuteronomy 28:13,14).

Lift your head, square your shoulders, dry your tears; God says you are “somebody special,” and it’s time you started believing and acting on it!1

“Mountain Mules” Join Cajun Navy to Do What Biden-Harris Can’t-Deliver Critical Help to Americans Trapped by Helene | The Gateway Pundit

While multiple states across the Southeast have been battered by Hurricane Helene, the ‘Cajun Navy’ has stepped up once again and deployed throughout the affected areas to help their fellow Americans in need.

Although Joe Biden tells suffering Americans that the Biden-Harris administration has “given them all we have,” volunteers are actually giving all.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the Cajun Navy’s most recent efforts to help those impacted by Helene.

Another organization has also stepped up to help and provided another example of American grit and service during a time when so many need a glimmer of hope.

Mountain Mule Packer Ranch, based in North Carolina,  provides pack mules for military missions. The company is now using its mules to transport donated food, medical supplies, and other critical items to stranded residents in Black Mountain and Swannanoa, NC, where many are trapped as roadways have virtually vanished.

The group even brought ice to a patient for his Insulin.

The group shared on Facebook, “They call them beasts of burden, we call them our beloved mules. They are capable and willing to work in many conditions most won’t. They are not stubborn…..they are wise, and require respect. They have had many roles in their careers, from hauling camping gear and fresh hunt, pulling wagons and farm equipment; to serving in training the best of the very best of our military special forces, carrying weapons, medical supplies, and even wounded soldiers.”

“This week, they are ready to work with us to HELP many in need after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. We are blessed and grateful for each of the mules (And Vader) on this team! Thought we would introduce you to them!”

The group shared some additional photos to Facebook.

October 1 | “It is good for me that I have been afflicted.” (Psalm 119:71.)

IT is a remarkable circumstance that the most brilliant colors of plants are to be seen on the highest mountains, in spots that are most exposed to the wildest weather. The brightest lichens and mosses, the loveliest gems of wild flowers, abound far up on the bleak, storm-scalped peak.

One of the richest displays of organic coloring I ever beheld was near the summit of Mount Chenebettaz, a hill about 10,000 feet high, immediately above the great St. Bernard Hospice. The whole face of an extensive rock was covered with a most vivid yellow lichen which shone in the sunshine like the golden battlement of an enchanted castle.

There, in that lofty region, amid the most frowning desolation, exposed to the fiercest tempest of the sky, this lichen exhibited a glory of color such as it never showed in the sheltered valley. I have two specimens of the same lichen before me while I write these lines, one from the great St. Bernard, and the other from the wall of a Scottish castle, deeply embossed among sycamore trees; and the difference in point of form and coloring between them is most striking.

The specimen nurtured amid the wild storms of the mountain peak is of a lovely primrose hue, and is smooth in texture and complete in outline, while the specimen nurtured amid the soft airs and the delicate showers of the lowland valley is of a dim rusty hue, and is scurfy in texture, and broken in outline.

And is it not so with the Christian who is afflicted, tempesttossed, and not comforted? Till the storms and vicissitudes of God’s providence beat upon him again and again, his character appears marred and clouded; but trials clear away the obscurity, perfect the outlines of his disposition, and give brightness and blessing to his life.

Amidst my list of blessings infinite

Stands this the foremost, that my heart has bled;

For all I bless Thee, most for the severe.
