As Taylor Swift announced her engagement, Kirk Cameron shared his thoughts about the “billionaire pop star” who “glorifies lust and rebellion.”

Conservative actor Kirk Cameron hasn’t been afraid to speak out about his Christian beliefs. After Taylor Swift announced her engagement to NFL player Travis Kelce, Cameron shared his thoughts about the “billionaire pop star” who “glorifies lust and rebellion.”
“This billionaire pop star in heels is crowned the voice of a generation,” surmised Cameron in a video posted to X.

The heated video includes a series of questions presented by Cameron—clearly challenging some of Swift’s personal and professional choices.
“What do you get when a billionaire pop star releases an album with provocative artwork, lyrics that mock God, glorify rebellion, and celebrate explicit sin?” Cameron asked.
Cameron answered his own question: “You get the most powerful sermon that America’s youth will hear this year.”
Other Christians have publicly objected to Swift’s lyrics. Influencer Allen Parr describes them as “straight up, a hot mess.” He warned parents and all Christians to be cautious of her musical content, citing specific lyrics.
“She mocks God in her lyrics,” Cameron went on. “She normalizes sin. She glorifies lust and rebellion as if this was womanly empowerment.”
Cameron has faced criticism over the past few years for his conservative children’s book story hours across the country. Before one such event was held in Seattle, Cameron was labeled a “bigoted Christian nationalist.”
In addition to publicly standing up for his Christian beliefs and conservative morals, Cameron has been a long-time supporter of President Donald Trump.
“So, what values has Trump promoted with his lifestyle?” asked one commenter after watching Cameron’s opinion of Swift. “As a Christian, please tell me!!”
In a video posted just days before Cameron’s argument against Swift, Cameron argues “how Trump’s secret strategy could actually be beneficial for the country.” He remembers the shock of former President Ronald Reagan sitting down with the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev.

“Reagan didn’t cave to the Soviets, but he met with them,” Cameron said. “He built a relationship, meeting by meeting, year by year, until the Cold War ended.”
While Cameron compared Trump’s meeting with Putin to that of the meetings between Reagan and Gorbachev, Cameron didn’t address any personal or moral concerns about the president, who has been convicted of multiple felonies.
Cameron’s opinions appeared to be focused on the music and lifestyle of Taylor Swift. “Her songs are not just music,” Cameron argued. “This is discipleship.”
“She doesn’t have any kids of her own, but raising kids is hard,” he said. “Why get into all that when she can just disciple your kids and train them up in the way that she would like for them to go?”
The controversial video has been viewed nearly 100,000 times, and the comments reflect just how heated and polarized this topic is. Viewers called out parents and their responsibility to their kids, and others accused Swift of being a witch, literally casting spells during her concerts.
“@KirkCameron at least you are raising awareness to it,” affirmed one commenter. “Far too many celebs with influence either participate in the normalization and celebration of sin, or say nothing. Good on you for speaking out! God bless.”
Someone else had a different take. “Relationship with God isn’t so fragile that a ‘billionaire pop star in heels’ can break it,” the person said. “Nothing can take us out of His hand. Stop fearing things that aren’t anything to fear. God Almighty is on the Throne. And Nothing and NO ONE can change that. Rest and abide in Him.”
Kirk Cameron’s Next Children’s Book Coming in November 2025
Cameron has written a few children’s books, and he’s not done yet. “As You Grow,” “Pride Comes Before the Fall,” and “The Fox, the Fair, and the Invention Scare,” are among the popular books that not only capture children’s attention but also tell a moral story.
His next book, “Brave as a Lion,” can be preordered and is set to be released Nov. 4.
