Watch: The 5 Best Quotes from Rubio’s Blunt, Truth-Packed Speech at the Munich Security Conference | The Gateway Pundit

Secretary of State Marco Rubio dropped some epic truth bombs while speaking at the Munich Security Conference, where he urged Europe to work with the United States to preserve Western civilization.

During his sobering speech delivered on Saturday, Rubio outlined the following points:

  1. The U.S. and Europe are brothers who must join forces to save Western culture, which has been responsible for advancing human civilization.
  2. Christianity is the foundation of Western civilization, and the U.S. and Europe must defend it together.
  3. The sham leftist notion of a “borderless society” has been a recipe for disaster that has destabilized the West.
  4. The U.S. and Europe must reject white guilt by not allowing their nations to devolve into dumping grounds for third-world migrants.
  5. Unfettered mass migration is destroying Western nations and erasing Western culture.

Rubio reminded Europe of its long shared history with the United States, and how they forged Western civilization — and indeed, human civilization.

“We are part of one civilization — Western civilization,” Rubio said.

“We are bound to one another by the deepest bonds that nations could share, forged by centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry, and the sacrifices our forefathers made together for the common civilization to which we have fallen heir,” the chief diplomat added.

“We are connected spiritually and we are connected culturally,” he underscored.

Christianity is responsible for so much of what we think of today as “civilized society” in the West.

It played a fundamental role in creating or popularizing:

-hospitals
-modern science
-human rights
-universities

Rubio said uncontrolled mass migration has wreaked unimaginable havoc across Europe and the United States.

“In a pursuit of a world without borders, we opened our doors to an unprecedented wave of mass migration that threatens the cohesion of our societies, the continuity of our culture, and the future of our people,” he said.

“Mass migration is not, was not, isn’t some fringe concern of little consequence. It was and continues to be a crisis which is transforming and destabilizing societies all across the West.”

In urging Europe and the U.S. to “gain control of our national borders,” Rubio said not securing borders is a subversion of national sovereignty and an existential danger to public safety.

“Controlling who and how many people enter our countries, this is not an expression of xenophobia. It is not hate,” Rubio noted.

“It is a fundamental act of national sovereignty. And the failure to do so is not just an abdication of one of our most basic duties owed to our people. It is an urgent threat to the fabric of our societies and the survival of our civilization itself.”

Rubio then urged Europe and the U.S. to reject the toxic white guilt underpinning their decline.

“We do not want our allies to be shackled by guilt and shame,” he said. “We want allies who are proud of their culture and of their heritage.”

“And this is why we do not want allies to rationalize the broken status quo rather than reckon with what is necessary to fix it, for we in America have no interest in being polite and orderly caretakers of the West’s managed decline,” Rubio said.

The chief diplomat then renewed his call for Europe to join the U.S. in remaining stewards of Western culture and to propel it to even greater heights.

“The alliance that we want is one that is not paralyzed into inaction by fear — fear of climate change, fear of war, fear of technology,” he said.

“Instead, we want an alliance that boldly races into the future.”

Rubio continued, “We want to do it together with you, with a Europe that is proud of its heritage and of its history; with a Europe that has the spirit of creation of liberty that sent ships out into uncharted seas and birthed our civilization; with a Europe that has the means to defend itself and the will to survive.”

Thank Heavens for Marco Rubio | CultureWatch.

The speech that rocked the West:

American Secretary of State Marco Rubio sure has been getting a lot of runs on the board. He has been incredibly busy, as has been President Trump, and he has been impressing a lot of people with the amount of very helpful work he has been doing in his short term in office.

Indeed, many are saying he may be the best Secretary of State the United States has ever had. And a recent speech he gave in Europe certainly proves how competent and in touch with reality he really is. He spoke at the Munich Security Conference on February 14. The 22-minute talk, along with the 7-minute Q&A, are well worth listening to.

Here I present a few quotes from it. He began by discussing the fall of Communism and the Berlin Wall. Emphasis then was on ‘the end of history’ and a new global order. But he said the euphoria and naivety that followed has been disastrous:

This was a foolish idea that ignored both human nature and it ignored the lessons of over 5,000 years of recorded human history. And it has cost us dearly. In this delusion, we embraced a dogmatic vision of free and unfettered trade, even as some nations protected their economies and subsidized their companies to systematically undercut ours – shuttering our plants, resulting in large parts of our societies being deindustrialized, shipping millions of working and middle-class jobs overseas, and handing control of our critical supply chains to both adversaries and rivals.

We increasingly outsourced our sovereignty to international institutions while many nations invested in massive welfare states at the cost of maintaining the ability to defend themselves. This, even as other countries have invested in the most rapid military buildup in all of human history and have not hesitated to use hard power to pursue their own interests. To appease a climate cult, we have imposed energy policies on ourselves that are impoverishing our people, even as our competitors exploit oil and coal and natural gas and anything else – not just to power their economies, but to use as leverage against our own.

And in a pursuit of a world without borders, we opened our doors to an unprecedented wave of mass migration that threatens the cohesion of our societies, the continuity of our culture, and the future of our people. We made these mistakes together, and now, together, we owe it to our people to face those facts and to move forward, to rebuild.

Under President Trump, the United States of America will once again take on the task of renewal and restoration, driven by a vision of a future as proud, as sovereign, and as vital as our civilization’s past. And while we are prepared, if necessary, to do this alone, it is our preference and it is our hope to do this together with you, our friends here in Europe.

Speaking to the issue of national and international security, he said this:

National security, which this conference is largely about, is not merely series of technical questions – how much we spend on defense or where, how we deploy it, these are important questions. They are. But they are not the fundamental one. The fundamental question we must answer at the outset is what exactly are we defending, because armies do not fight for abstractions. Armies fight for a people; armies fight for a nation. Armies fight for a way of life. And that is what we are defending: a great civilization that has every reason to be proud of its history, confident of its future, and aims to always be the master of its own economic and political destiny.

It was here in Europe where the ideas that planted the seeds of liberty that changed the world were born. It was here in Europe where the world – which gave the world the rule of law, the universities, and the scientific revolution. It was this continent that produced the genius of Mozart and Beethoven, of Dante and Shakespeare, of Michelangelo and Da Vinci, of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. And this is the place where the vaulted ceilings of the Sistine Chapel and the towering spires of the great cathedral in Cologne, they testify not just to the greatness of our past or to a faith in God that inspired these marvels. They foreshadow the wonders that await us in our future. But only if we are unapologetic in our heritage and proud of this common inheritance can we together begin the work of envisioning and shaping our economic and our political future.

He then took another shot at the mirage of mass migration:

Mass migration is not, was not, isn’t some fringe concern of little consequence. It was and continues to be a crisis which is transforming and destabilizing societies all across the West. Together we can reindustrialize our economies and rebuild our capacity to defend our people. But the work of this new alliance should not be focused just on military cooperation and reclaiming the industries of the past. It should also be focused on, together, advancing our mutual interests and new frontiers, unshackling our ingenuity, our creativity, and the dynamic spirit to build a new Western century. Commercial space travel and cutting-edge artificial intelligence; industrial automation and flex manufacturing; creating a Western supply chain for critical minerals not vulnerable to extortion from other powers; and a unified effort to compete for market share in the economies of the Global South. Together we can not only take back control of our own industries and supply chains – we can prosper in the areas that will define the 21st century.

But we must also gain control of our national borders. Controlling who and how many people enter our countries, this is not an expression of xenophobia. It is not hate. It is a fundamental act of national sovereignty. And the failure to do so is not just an abdication of one of our most basic duties owed to our people. It is an urgent threat to the fabric of our societies and the survival of our civilization itself.

Absolutely Marco. And he concluded his speech with these words:

Our story began with an Italian explorer whose adventure into the great unknown to discover a new world brought Christianity to the Americas – and became the legend that defined the imagination of a our pioneer nation.

Our first colonies were built by English settlers, to whom we owe not just the language we speak but the whole of our political and legal system. Our frontiers were shaped by Scots-Irish – that proud, hearty clan from the hills of Ulster that gave us Davy Crockett and Mark Twain and Teddy Roosevelt and Neil Armstrong.

Our great midwestern heartland was built by German farmers and craftsmen who transformed empty plains into a global agricultural powerhouse – and by the way, dramatically upgraded the quality of American beer. (Laughter.)

Our expansion into the interior followed the footsteps of French fur traders and explorers whose names, by the way, still adorn the street signs and towns’ names all across the Mississippi Valley. Our horses, our ranches, our rodeos – the entire romance of the cowboy archetype that became synonymous with the American West – these were born in Spain. And our largest and most iconic city was named New Amsterdam before it was named New York.

And do you know that in the year that my country was founded, Lorenzo and Catalina Geroldi lived in Casale Monferrato in the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia. And Jose and Manuela Reina lived in Sevilla, Spain. I don’t know what, if anything, they knew about the 13 colonies which had gained their independence from the British empire, but here’s what I am certain of: They could have never imagined that 250 years later, one of their direct descendants would be back here today on this continent as the chief diplomat of that infant nation. And yet here I am, reminded by my own story that both our histories and our fates will always be linked.

Together we rebuilt a shattered continent in the wake of two devastating world wars. When we found ourselves divided once again by the Iron Curtain, the free West linked arms with the courageous dissidents struggling against tyranny in the East to defeat Soviet communism. We have fought against each other, then reconciled, then fought, then reconciled again. And we have bled and died side by side on battlefields from Kapyong to Kandahar.

And I am here today to leave it clear that America is charting the path for a new century of prosperity, and that once again we want to do it together with you, our cherished allies and our oldest friends. (Applause.)

We want to do it together with you, with a Europe that is proud of its heritage and of its history; with a Europe that has the spirit of creation of liberty that sent ships out into uncharted seas and birthed our civilization; with a Europe that has the means to defend itself and the will to survive. We should be proud of what we achieved together in the last century, but now we must confront and embrace the opportunities of a new one – because yesterday is over, the future is inevitable, and our destiny together awaits. Thank you. (Applause.)

Marco Rubio UNLOADS on Useless United Nations in Germany — “Has No Answers” to World’s Biggest Crises | The Gateway Pundit

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio speaking at the Munich Security Conference, addressing global security issues with a focus on international relations and policy.

At the 2026 Munich Security Conference in Germany, Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a thunderous rebuke of the failed globalist order — calling out international institutions like the United Nations for their stunning impotence in the face of war, terrorism, and global instability.

Standing before America’s European allies at one of the most consequential geopolitical forums in the world, Rubio made it clear: the era of outsourcing sovereignty to unelected global bureaucracies is over.

Rubio laid out a brutal reality check for the internationalist class that has spent decades pushing a so-called “rules-based global order” while America and Europe hollowed out their industrial base and surrendered control of critical supply chains.

According to Rubio:

  • The U.N. failed to stop the war in Gaza
  • The U.N. failed to end the war in Ukraine
  • The U.N. failed to contain Iran’s nuclear ambitions
  • The U.N. failed to confront narcoterrorist regimes like Venezuela

Instead, Rubio emphasized, it was American leadership — not international resolutions — that produced results.

“We can no longer place the so-called global order above the vital interests of our people and our nations.  We do not need to abandon the system of international cooperation we authored, and we don’t need to dismantle the global institutions of the old order that together we built.  But these must be reformed.  These must be rebuilt.

For example, the United Nations still has tremendous potential to be a tool for good in the world.  But we cannot ignore that today, on the most pressing matters before us, it has no answers and has played virtually no role.  It could not solve the war in Gaza.  Instead, it was American leadership that freed captives from barbarians and brought about a fragile truce.  It had not solved the war in Ukraine.  It took American leadership and partnership with many of the countries here today just to bring the two sides to the table in search of a still-elusive peace.

It was powerless to constrain the nuclear program of radical Shia clerics in Tehran.  That required 14 bombs dropped with precision from American B-2 bombers.  And it was unable to address the threat to our security from a narcoterrorist dictator in Venezuela.  Instead, it took American Special Forces to bring this fugitive to justice.”

Rubio also blasted the ideological foundations of post-Cold War globalism, warning that the West had embraced a dangerous delusion following the fall of the Soviet Union — believing nationhood would be replaced by trade agreements and transnational governance.

“Armies do not fight for abstractions,” Rubio said.
“Armies fight for a people. Armies fight for a nation. Armies fight for a way of life.”

He pointed directly to decades of:

  • Deindustrialization
  • Mass migration
  • Energy self-sabotage
  • Outsourcing of sovereignty to international institutions

…as policy failures driven by globalist thinking that left Western nations economically dependent and militarily vulnerable.

Invoking the leadership of Donald Trump, Rubio told allies that the United States is embarking on a path of national renewal — one focused on:

  • Reindustrialization
  • Border control
  • Supply chain independence
  • Defense readiness
  • Western technological dominance

“Controlling who and how many people enter our countries… is not hate. It is a fundamental act of national sovereignty.”

Rubio emphasized that while the U.S. prefers to work alongside Europe, America is prepared to move forward alone if necessary to restore its economic strength and defend its civilization.

Transcript via Department of State:

SECRETARY RUBIO:  Thank you very much.  We gather here today as members of a historic alliance, an alliance that saved and changed the world.  When this conference began in 1963, it was in a nation – actually, it was on a continent – that was divided against itself.  The line between communism and freedom ran through the heart of Germany.  The first barbed fences of the Berlin Wall had gone up just two years prior.

And just months before that first conference, before our predecessors first met here, here in Munich, the Cuban Missile Crisis had brought the world to the brink of nuclear destruction.  Even as World War II still burned fresh in the memory of Americans and Europeans alike, we found ourselves staring down the barrel of a new global catastrophe – one with the potential for a new kind of destruction, more apocalyptic and final than anything before in the history of mankind.

At the time of that first gathering, Soviet communism was on the march.  Thousands of years of Western civilization hung in the balance.  At that time, victory was far from certain.  But we were driven by a common purpose.  We were unified not just by what we were fighting against; we were unified by what we were fighting for.  And together, Europe and America prevailed and a continent was rebuilt.  Our people prospered.  In time, the East and West blocs were reunited. A civilization was once again made whole.

That infamous wall that had cleaved this nation into two came down, and with it an evil empire, and the East and West became one again.  But the euphoria of this triumph led us to a dangerous delusion:  that we had entered, quote, “the end of history;” that every nation would now be a liberal democracy; that the ties formed by trade and by commerce alone would now replace nationhood; that the rules-based global order – an overused term – would now replace the national interest; and that we would now live in a world without borders where everyone became a citizen of the world.

For the United States and Europe, we belong together.  America was founded 250 years ago, but the roots began here on this continent long before.  The man who settled and built the nation of my birth arrived on our shores carrying the memories and the traditions and the Christian faith of their ancestors as a sacred inheritance, an unbreakable link between the old world and the new.

We are part of one civilization – Western civilization.  We are bound to one another by the deepest bonds that nations could share, forged by centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry, and the sacrifices our forefathers made together for the common civilization to which we have fallen heir.

And so this is why we Americans may sometimes come off as a little direct and urgent in our counsel.  This is why President Trump demands seriousness and reciprocity from our friends here in Europe.  The reason why, my friends, is because we care deeply.  We care deeply about your future and ours.  And if at times we disagree, our disagreements come from our profound sense of concern about a Europe with which we are connected – not just economically, not just militarily.  We are connected spiritually and we are connected culturally.  We want Europe to be strong.  We believe that Europe must survive, because the two great wars of the last century serve for us as history’s constant reminder that ultimately, our destiny is and will always be intertwined with yours, because we know – (applause) – because we know that the fate of Europe will never be irrelevant to our own.

Deindustrialization was not inevitable.  It was a conscious policy choice, a decades-long economic undertaking that stripped our nations of their wealth, of their productive capacity, and of their independence.  And the loss of our supply chain sovereignty was not a function of a prosperous and healthy system of global trade.  It was foolish.  It was a foolish but voluntary transformation of our economy that left us dependent on others for our needs and dangerously vulnerable to crisis.

And finally, we can no longer place the so-called global order above the vital interests of our people and our nations.

In a perfect world, all of these problems and more would be solved by diplomats and strongly worded resolutions.  But we do not live in a perfect world, and we cannot continue to allow those who blatantly and openly threaten our citizens and endanger our global stability to shield themselves behind abstractions of international law which they themselves routinely violate.

This is the path that President Trump and the United States has embarked upon.  It is the path we ask you here in Europe to join us on.  It is a path we have walked together before and hope to walk together again.  For five centuries, before the end of the Second World War, the West had been expanding – its missionaries, its pilgrims, its soldiers, its explorers pouring out from its shores to cross oceans, settle new continents, build vast empires extending out across the globe.

But in 1945, for the first time since the age of Columbus, it was contracting.  Europe was in ruins.  Half of it lived behind an Iron Curtain and the rest looked like it would soon follow.  The great Western empires had entered into terminal decline, accelerated by godless communist revolutions and by anti-colonial uprisings that would transform the world and drape the red hammer and sickle across vast swaths of the map in the years to come.

Against that backdrop, then, as now, many came to believe that the West’s age of dominance had come to an end and that our future was destined to be a faint and feeble echo of our past.  But together, our predecessors recognized that decline was a choice, and it was a choice they refused to make.  This is what we did together once before, and this is what President Trump and the United States want to do again now, together with you.

And this is why we do not want our allies to be weak, because that makes us weaker.  We want allies who can defend themselves so that no adversary will ever be tempted to test our collective strength.  This is why we do not want our allies to be shackled by guilt and shame.  We want allies who are proud of their culture and of their heritage, who understand that we are heirs to the same great and noble civilization, and who, together with us, are willing and able to defend it.

And this is why we do not want allies to rationalize the broken status quo rather than reckon with what is necessary to fix it, for we in America have no interest in being polite and orderly caretakers of the West’s managed decline.  We do not seek to separate, but to revitalize an old friendship and renew the greatest civilization in human history.  What we want is a reinvigorated alliance that recognizes that what has ailed our societies is not just a set of bad policies but a malaise of hopelessness and complacency.  An alliance – the alliance that we want is one that is not paralyzed into inaction by fear – fear of climate change, fear of war, fear of technology.  Instead, we want an alliance that boldly races into the future.  And the only fear we have is the fear of the shame of not leaving our nations prouder, stronger, and wealthier for our children.

An alliance ready to defend our people, to safeguard our interests, and to preserve the freedom of action that allows us to shape our own destiny – not one that exists to operate a global welfare state and atone for the purported sins of past generations.  An alliance that does not allow its power to be outsourced, constrained, or subordinated to systems beyond its control; one that does not depend on others for the critical necessities of its national life; and one that does not maintain the polite pretense that our way of life is just one among many and that asks for permission before it acts.  And above all, an alliance based on the recognition that we, the West, have inherited together – what we have inherited together is something that is unique and distinctive and irreplaceable, because this, after all, is the very foundation of the transatlantic bond.

Acting together in this way, we will not just help recover a sane foreign policy.  It will restore to us a clearer sense of ourselves.  It will restore a place in the world, and in so doing, it will rebuke and deter the forces of civilizational erasure that today menace both America and Europe alike.

So in a time of headlines heralding the end of the transatlantic era, let it be known and clear to all that this is neither our goal nor our wish – because for us Americans, our home may be in the Western Hemisphere, but we will always be a child of Europe.  (Applause.)

Our frontiers were shaped by Scots-Irish – that proud, hearty clan from the hills of Ulster that gave us Davy Crockett and Mark Twain and Teddy Roosevelt and Neil Armonstrong.

Thank you.  (Applause.)

QUESTION:  Mr. Secretary, I’m not sure you heard the sigh of relief through this hall when we were just listening to what I would interpret as a message of reassurance, of partnership.  You spoke of intertwined relations between the United States and Europe – reminds me of statements made decades ago by your predecessors when the discussion was: is actually America a European power?  Is America a power in Europe?  Thank you for offering this message of reassurance about our partnership.

This is actually not the first time that Marco Rubio is here at the Munich Security Conference – been here before a couple of times, but it’s the first time he has been and he is the speaker as Secretary of State.  So thank you again.  We have only a couple of minutes now for just a few questions, and if I may, we collected questions from the audience.

One of the key issues here yesterday, today, is, of course – continues to be the question of how to deal with the war in Ukraine.  Many of us in the discussions over the last day, the last 24 hours, have voiced their impression that the Russians – let me put it colloquially – the Russians are playing for time, they’re not really interested in a meaningful settlement.  There is no indication that they’re willing to compromise on any of their maximalist objectives.  Offer to us, if you could, your assessment of where we are and where you think we can go.

SECRETARY RUBIO:  Well, I think where we are at this point is that the issues at play that have to be – here’s the good news.  The good news is that the issues that need to be confronted to end this war have been narrowed.  That’s the good news.  The bad news is they’ve been narrowed to the hardest questions to answer, and work remains to be done in that front.  I hear your point about – the answer is we don’t know.  We don’t know the Russians are serious about ending the war; they say they are – and under what terms they were willing to do it and whether we can find terms that are acceptable to Ukraine that Russia will always agree to.  But we’re going to continue to test it.

In the meantime, everything else continues to happen.  The United States has imposed additional sanctions on Russia’s oil.  In our conversations with India, we’ve gotten their commitment to stop buying additional Russian oil.  Europe has taken its set of steps moving forward.  The Pearl Program continues in which American weaponry is being sold for the Ukrainian war effort.  So all these things continue.  Nothing has stopped in the interim.  So there’s no buying of time here in that regard.

What we can’t answer – but we’re going to continue to test – is whether there is an outcome that Ukraine can live with and that Russia will accept.  And I would say it’s been elusive up to this point.  We’ve made progress in the sense that for the first time, I think in years, at least at the technical level, there were military officials from both sides that met together last week, and there’ll be – and there’ll be meetings again on Tuesday, although it may not be the same group of people.

Look, we’re going to continue to do everything we can to play this role of bringing this war to an end.  I don’t think anybody in this room would be against a negotiated settlement to this war so long as the conditions are just and sustainable.  And that’s what we aim to achieve, and we’re going to continue to try to achieve it, even as all these other things continue to happen on the sanctions front and so forth.

QUESTION:  Thank you very much.  I’m sure if we had more time there were many questions on Ukraine.  But let me conclude by asking a question about something entirely different.  The next speaker here in just a couple of minutes will be the foreign minister of China.  When you served in the Senate, sir, people considered you a kind of a China hawk.

SECRETARY RUBIO:  So did they.

QUESTION:  So did they?

SECRETARY RUBIO:  Yeah.

QUESTION:  The – we know that there will be, in about two months’ time, a summit meeting between President Trump and President Xi Jinping.  Give us your expectation.  Are you optimistic?  Can there be a, quote/unquote, “deal” with China?  What do you expect?

SECRETARY RUBIO:  Well, I would say this.  The two largest economies in the world, two of the big powers on the planet, we have an obligation to communicate with them and talk, and so do many of you on a bilateral basis as well.  I mean, it would be geopolitical malpractice to not be in conversations with China.  I would say this: because we’re two large countries with huge global interests, our national interests will often not align.  Their national interests and ours will not align, and we owe it to the world to try to manage those as best we can, obviously avoiding conflict, both economic and worse.  And that – so it’s important for us to have communications with them in that regard.

On areas in which our interests are aligned, I think we can work together to make positive impact on the world, and we seek opportunities to do that with them.  So – but we have to have a relationship with China.  And any of the countries represented here today are going to have to have a relationship with China, always understanding that nothing that we agree to could come at the expense of our national interest.  And frankly, we expect China to act in their national interest, as we expect every nation-state to act in their national interest.  And the goal of diplomacy is to try to navigate those times in which our national interests come into conflict with one another, always hoping to do it peacefully.

I think we also have a special obligation because whatever happens between the U.S. and China on trade has a global implication.  So there are long-term challenges that we face that we’re going to have to confront that are going to be irritants in our relationship with China.  That’s not just true for the United States; that’s true for the broader West.  But I do think we need to try to manage those the best we can to avoid unnecessary friction if it’s possible.  But no one is under any illusions.  There are some fundamental challenges between our countries and between the West and China that will continue for the foreseeable future for a variety of reasons, and it’s some of the things we hope to work together with you on.

At World Economic Forum, Trump Administration Calls Out Europe for Globalism, Socialism, and Open Borders | The Gateway Pundit

Donald Trump speaks at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos 2026, with an audience of global leaders and officials listening attentively.
President Trump, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and several other anti-globalist advocates of freedom criticized Europe at the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos.

In true Trumpian fashion, President Trump opened his speech at the Davos World Economic Forum by saying it was a pleasure “to address so many respected business leaders, so many friends, a few enemies.” He told those assembled that he had just marked the one-year anniversary of his second term in office and said the U.S. economy was roaring. According to Trump, it is “exploding, productivity is surging, investment is soaring, incomes are rising, inflation has been defeated.”

He added that foreign direct investment is eighteen times higher than it was under Biden, GDP growth is set to double IMF projections, and the border is now secure. Trump also highlighted a clear departure from socialism, noting that “we’ve lifted more than 1.2 million people off of food stamps.”

Later in the speech, he said the United States had “removed over 270,000 bureaucrats from the federal payrolls, the largest single-year reduction in government employment since the end of World War Two.” He added that his administration had slashed the federal budget by $100 billion and reduced the federal budget deficit by 27 percent. Together, these figures signaled a return to free-market capitalism and renewed private-sector growth, while Europe, by contrast, continues to move in the opposite direction.

Without explicitly saying so, President Trump suggested that none of this could be said about Europe. He said that parts of the continent had become unrecognizable, but in a negative way. “And I love Europe, and I want to see Europe go good, but it’s not heading in the right direction,” he said. Trump attributed Europe’s decline to increased socialism and globalization. In Washington and Europe, he argued, conventional wisdom had taken hold that “the only way to grow a modern Western economy was through ever-increasing government spending, unchecked mass migration, and endless foreign imports.”

The result of these destructive policies, he said, was record budget and trade deficits and a growing sovereignty deficit, “driven by the largest wave of mass migration in human history.” “We’ve never seen anything like it,” he exclaimed. “Quite frankly, many parts of our world are being destroyed before our very eyes.”

Trump added that some leaders appeared baffled by what was happening and did not understand how it occurred, while others did understand but failed to act. “And the ones that do understand aren’t doing anything about it,” he said.

When it was his turn to speak, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick told the Forum, on behalf of the Trump administration, “we are here to make a very clear point. Globalization has failed the West and the United States of America.” He went on to explain that it failed through a policy of offshoring, which he described as “find the cheapest labor in the world, and the world is a better place for it.” However, he said this approach has made America and the West weaker and has failed American workers.

“You shouldn’t offshore your medicine. You shouldn’t offshore your semiconductors,” he warned. “You shouldn’t offshore your entire industrial base and have it be hollowed out beneath you.” He went on to argue that this erosion of manufacturing capacity makes both Europe and the United States dangerously dependent.

Addressing Europe’s climate policies, he said, “Why would you agree to be net zero in 2030 when they don’t make a battery?” He noted that net-zero targets rely heavily on rechargeable electric vehicles and appliances, all of which depend on batteries. “So if they go to 2030,” he said, “they are deciding to be subservient to China, who makes the batteries.”

Americans were not the only ones criticizing Europe’s destructive globalist agenda. Argentine President Javier Milei, an Austrian economist often described as the Trump of South America, reminded Europe that personal liberty was a core principle that had long separated the West from the rest of the world and made it wealthier and more prosperous. In recent years, however, he said “the West began to turn its back on the ideas of liberty.”

Milei reminded the World Economic Forum that he had warned them in 2024 and again in 2025 that “the West was in danger as a result of having embraced increasing doses of socialism in its bourgeois democracy.” He described this shift as “the mental genocide sown by the left in humanity.” This year, however, he said he observed the beginning of a turn back to the right. “The world has begun to awaken,” he said, pointing to developments in the Americas as evidence of a renewed embrace of liberty.

Suggesting that Europe could learn from the United States and Argentina, Milei said, “the Americas will be the vision for life in the future.” He argued that this positive turn was the result of both countries returning to their foundational philosophies rooted in Roman law and Judeo-Christian values. “The Americas will be the beacon of light,” he said. “It will once again illuminate the entire world.”

He concluded on a hopeful note, saying, “We have a better future ahead,” but warned that such a future exists only if the West returns to its roots by embracing the ideas of liberty. He ended with a prayer, saying, “May God bless the West.”

Even Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, sharply criticized Europe in his speech, arguing that the continent appears “lost” and overly focused on persuading U.S. President Donald Trump rather than defending itself. Zelenskyy said that instead of leading the defense of freedom, Europe is “trying to convince the U.S. president to change” when American attention shifts elsewhere. He warned that while Trump “loves who he is” and says he loves Europe, “he will not listen to this kind of Europe,” reflecting frustration with what he sees as weak and divided leadership.

Of all the Europe-bashing that took place, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick appeared to be the star. Lutnick reportedly mocked European economies, calling them “underperforming” and “uncompetitive” compared to the United States. He also defended the use of fossil fuels and coal, a major taboo for the Davos crowd, which remains fully committed to what it frames as a climate crisis.

During Lutnick’s remarks, Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, reportedly stood up and left the room. She was not alone. Several other European officials and executives followed her out mid-speech.

Their departure was unfortunate, because Lutnick delivered what may have been the most important takeaway of the forum. He reaffirmed that “America first is the job of our government,” clarifying that this does not mean America alone, but America first. He encouraged leaders elsewhere to do the same and to prioritize their own people. Europe, however, seems unlikely to follow that path, continuing instead to prioritize globalization over sovereignty, liberty, and prosperity at home.

Mass Desertions, 2 Million Draft Dodgers… New Ukrainian Defense Minister Opens up About Kiev Military’s Dire Straits | The Gateway Pundit

Overwhelmed Ukrainian forces completely lack morale.

Fedorov knows how big the problem is.

While Euro-Globalists still sell the world the idea that Ukraine can win the war, Kiev regime insiders know just how desperate things have become.

Besides a lack of money, ammunition, and military hardware, the most acute problem they face is the lack of troops.

Wide-scale desertions, 2 million draft dodgers…

The challenges facing Ukraine’s military seem insurmountable as Russia advances at the fastest rate since 2022.

A meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov. I am grateful to the members of parliament for supporting Mykhailo. We immediately identified the first priorities for the Ministry of Defense.

The main one is air defense. There are concrete decisions that must be… pic.twitter.com/6PWmxtNczM

— Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський (@ZelenskyyUa) January 14, 2026

As leader, Volodymyr Zelensky implements yet another shakedown in his government, the new defense minister addressed these issues yesterday (14) for the first time.

Associated Press reported:

“Mykhailo Fedorov told Ukraine’s parliament that other problems facing Ukraine’s armed forces include excessive bureaucracy, a Soviet-style approach to management, and disruptions in the supply of equipment to troops along the about 1,000-kilometer (600-mile) front line.

‘We cannot fight a war with new technologies but an old organizational structure’, Fedorov said.”

“President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed 34-year-old Fedorov at the start of the year. The former head of Ukraine’s digital transformation policies is credited with spearheading the army’s drone technology and introducing several successful e-government platforms.

His appointment was part of a broad government reshuffle that the Ukrainian leader said aimed to sharpen the focus on security, defense development and diplomacy amid a new U.S.-led push to find a peace settlement.”

Trump Reportedly Says Ukraine’s Zelensky, and Not Russia’s Putin, Is Holding up the Peace Deal: REUTERS | The Gateway Pundit

February 28, 2025: Trump informs Zelensky that ‘he doesn’t have the cards’.

Zelensky and his EU Globalists do what they can to impede peace, and cling to some non-starter proposals.

Ever since February 2025, in the infamous Oval Office heated on-camera argument between Donald J. Trump and Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky, it was clear that the US President knew that Ukraine didn’t have the cards, and should settle with Russia as fast as possible, lest they lose more and more territory.

Statement by Donald Trump discussing a meeting in the White House and his views on President Zelenskyy's readiness for peace negotiations.
Message from February 2025: Zelensky is not ready for peace.

The assessment proved totally correct.

We have been diligently reporting here on TGP on Trump’s peace push for the Russia-Ukraine war ever since before he was inaugurated.

But one aspect stood out: Zelensky didn’t negotiate like the losing party that he is, but rather as the golden boy of Globalism that he also is.

Donald Trump criticizes Ukrainian President Zelenskyy’s statements about Crimea, highlighting their impact on peace negotiations with Russia amid ongoing conflict.
April 2025: Zelensky can have peace or lose all the country.

‘To the victor, the spoils’: the winning party gets more (if not all) of its demands met, and has to make the least concessions.

That basic fact of warfare is ignored as Zelensky skillfully delays a peace agreement and still, one year on, clings to the notion that European troops will enter his country to defend it after a ‘ceasefire’ – when everyone know Russia will never, ever accept that.

The ‘coalition of the willing’ is a guarantee that war will continue.

BREAKING: TRUMP sees Zelensky as ‘primary obstacle’ to PEACE – FT pic.twitter.com/jaJVyaIdo9

— Legitimate Targets (@LegitTargets) July 13, 2025

Today, Trump’s take on Zelensky’s behavior was made clear as day.

Reuters reported:

“U.S. President Donald Trump told Reuters that Ukraine – not Russia – is holding up a potential peace deal, rhetoric that stands in marked contrast to that of European allies, who have consistently argued Moscow has little interest in ending its war in Ukraine.”

Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘is ready to wrap up the war’, while Zelensky is reticent.

“’I think he’s ready to make a deal’, Trump said of the Russian president. ‘I think Ukraine is less ready to make a deal’.

Asked why U.S.-led negotiations had not yet resolved Europe’s largest land conflict since World War Two, Trump responded: ‘Zelensky’.”

From May 2025:

Trump, when asked if Putin is an obstacle to peace: “I had a rough talk with Zelensky. He’s not making it easy — never had the cards.”

And again, no mention of Putin. pic.twitter.com/H5kkKKMc9V

2025 Is Ending With A Whole Lot Of Bombing | End Of The American Dream

This year is certainly ending with a bang.  In recent weeks, the U.S. has bombed targets in Venezuela, the Caribbean, the eastern Pacific, Nigeria and Somalia.  Meanwhile, the Saudis just bombed Yemen, the Ukrainians and the Russians continue to pummel each other, the Israelis are gearing up to hit Iran again, and the Chinese just launched missiles as they practiced for a blockade of Taiwan.  If you haven’t heard about all of these incidents yet, just keep reading, because you will get the details below.  We have come to expect that it is “normal” to see constant military action all over the globe, but the truth is that there is nothing “normal” about what we are witnessing at all.

We had been warned that the U.S. was going to begin hitting targets inside Venezuelan territory, and this week we found out that the first such strike has already happened

President Trump says the U.S. “knocked out” a “big facility” last week linked to alleged drug boat operations, although he didn’t offer many details.

“There was a major explosion in the dock area where they load the boats up with drugs,” Mr. Trump said Monday as he spoke to reporters at Mar-a-Lago.

In a radio interview Friday, the president said the U.S. hit the facility “very hard” two nights before.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon continues to bomb drug boats in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific.

In fact, it is being reported that the 30th such strike just took place…

As the world gets ready to usher in a new year, the US military campaign against Venezuela has reached another grim milestone. American forces carried out their latest airstrike on a vessel accused of drug trafficking in Latin American waters on Monday.

The operation announced by US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) represents the 30th strike since the campaign began on September 2.

The official US announcement indicated the boat was struck in the eastern Pacific Ocean – so the ‘other side’ opposite the Caribbean, which is certainly not the first in this area.

I had no idea that the grand total had already reached 30.

Strikes are happening so rapidly now that it really is quite difficult to keep up with them all.

On the other side of the world, the U.S. bombed ISIS radicals in northwest Nigeria on December 25th

President Donald Trump said the U.S. launched airstrikes in northwest Nigeria on Christmas night targeting ISIS militants he accused of killing Christians, calling the operation decisive and warning further attacks would follow if the violence continues.

“Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!” Trump said Thursday on Truth Social.

Most of you have heard about that operation in Nigeria by now.

But most Americans have no idea that the U.S. military has been regularly conducting airstrikes in Somalia throughout the month of December

The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) said the U.S. had struck targets around the Golis Mountains in northern Somalia, south of the Gulf of Aden. The attacks homed in on targets roughly 90 kilometers (56 miles) southeast of the coastal city of Bosaso, the military said.

The Christmas Day strikes followed three consecutive days of strikes in roughly the same area of northern Somalia. The military did not release any further details about the strikes, citing operational security.

AFRICOM has carried out airstrikes on ISIS-Somalia on at least seven occasions so far in December, and separately acknowledged at least five assaults on Somalia-based operatives for al-Shabaab, another jihadist militant group in the country with a much larger following than ISIS-Somalia and closer ties with Al-Qaeda.

The list of nations that we have bombed in 2025 is starting to get pretty long.

Iran is on that list, and President Trump is now threatening to bomb them again.  The following comes from a Ynet News article entitled “The green light Israel was waiting for on Iran”

Even before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented U.S. President Donald Trump and his team with newly gathered intelligence on Iran—focusing on its nuclear activity and, more urgently, the rehabilitation of its ballistic missile program threatening Israel—the U.S. president issued a series of significant security statements that Israeli officials in Tel Aviv had been waiting to hear.

“Now I hear that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are—we’re going to have to knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them. But hopefully, that’s not happening,” Trump said.

When asked whether the U.S. would intervene if Tehran attempted to rebuild its ballistic missile arsenal or restart its nuclear program, Trump responded “yes” to the former and “immediately” to the latter.

I think that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is quite determined to eliminate Iran’s ballistic missile threat.

Once Israel and Iran start fighting again, things will get really crazy in the Middle East.

Speaking of the Middle East, Saudi Arabia just bombed a key port in Yemen

The United Arab Emirates said Tuesday that it was pulling out its remaining forces in Yemen, after Saudi Arabia bombed the war-torn country’s port city of Mukalla following accusations that two ships from the UAE had delivered weapons and combat vehicles to separatist forces.

Saudi Arabia accused the UAE, its close ally, of “highly dangerous” actions in Yemen that threatened its national security. It said it had launched “limited” airstrikes on Mukalla on Tuesday morning and backed a call for UAE forces to leave Yemen within 24 hours.

The UAE initially rejected the accusations and expressed surprise at the strikes, but the country’s defense ministry later announced that, “in view of recent developments,” it would voluntarily withdraw the remaining “counterterrorism” units it had in Yemen.

The Saudis never used to be this aggressive.

But these days being very aggressive has become quite fashionable.

In Moscow, up to half a million people were without power after a massive wave of Ukrainian drone strikes…

Hundreds of thousands of Moscow residents are understood to be without power after Ukrainian drones attacked the city.

According to Ukrainian reports, as many as half a million people have been left without electricity.

Residential buildings, including tower blocks, in the capital have been captured in complete darkness – in footage shared on social media.

This came the day after the Ukrainians reportedly sent 91 drones to attack Vladimir Putin’s residence in northwestern Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed Monday that Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack on President Vladimir Putin’s residence in northwestern Russia, allegations that were swiftly dismissed by Kyiv as an attempt to derail peace negotiations.

Lavrov, who does not usually report drone strikes since they fall within the purview of the Defense Ministry, asserted that Ukraine used 91 long-range drones to target Putin’s residence on Lake Valdai in the Novgorod region between Sunday night and Monday morning.

I think that the Ukrainians really were trying to kill Putin.

Needless to say, the Russians are absolutely furious.

In response to this attack, Dmitry Medvedev publicly warned that the Grim Reaper is breathing down Volodymyr Zelensky’s neck…

Medvedev raged on X: “The stinking Kiev bastard is trying to derail the settlement of the conflict.

“He wants war. Well, now at least he’ll have to stay in hiding for the rest of his worthless life.

“I will not write here about his violent death, although right now the Grim Reaper is breathing down the bastard’s neck.

There is speculation that the Russians could respond to these recent attacks by striking Ukraine with Oreshnik missiles.

Apparently Oreshniks have entered mass production, and we are being told that some were recently deployed in Belarus

Russia appears to have deployed its so-called ‘unstoppable’ nuclear-capable missiles, potentially bringing the threat of devastating strikes closer than ever.

On Tuesday, the Defense Ministry released a video claiming to show combat vehicles in an undisclosed location in Belarus carrying the Oreshnik missile system.

State news agency TASS said it was the first time the ministry had publicly shown the Oreshnik, which President Vladimir Putin has declared impossible to intercept, with speeds reportedly exceeding Mach 10.

If the Russians were to hit major Ukrainian cities with Oreshniks, that would make direct NATO military intervention much more likely.

Alarmingly, Zelensky is claiming that deploying U.S. troops to Ukraine at some point in the future is even being discussed

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has newly claimed that US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of deploying American troops to Ukraine as negotiations toward peace with Moscow stall. This is presumably connected with promises of future ‘security guarantees’.

This is somewhat of a surprise, as the White House has made no indication of this in any statement whether public or based on anonymous officials. Throughout the nearly four-long war the question of Western ‘boots on the ground’ has been raised at various times.

Those that have been following my work for an extended period of time already clearly understand why we must avoid a direct war with Russia at all costs.

Of course it is imperative that we avoid a direct war with China too, but that won’t be possible if the Chinese make a move on Taiwan.

This week, the Chinese simulated a comprehensive blockade of the island

China fired rockets into waters off Taiwan on Tuesday, showcased new assault ships and dismissed prospects of U.S. and allied intervention to block any future attack by Beijing to take control of the island in its most extensive war games to date.

As part of drills rehearsing a blockade, China’s Eastern Theatre Command conducted 10 hours of live-fire exercises, launching rockets into waters to the north and south of the democratically governed island.

Chinese naval and air force units also simulated strikes on maritime and aerial targets and carried out anti-submarine drills around the island, while state media released images touting Beijing’s technological and military superiority and its ability to take Taiwan by force if necessary.

They are practicing for what they plan to do in the future.

As part of their “drills”, the Chinese fired 10 missiles into the air from an island that is very close to Taiwan…

AFP journalists in Pingtan — a Chinese island at the closest point to Taiwan’s main island — saw a volley of rockets blast into the air at around 9:00 am (0100 GMT) on Tuesday, leaving trails of white smoke.

At least 10 rockets were launched in quick succession, sending a booming sound reverberating across the sky and drawing tourists towards the seafront to snap photos and videos on their phones.

If those missiles had actually been aimed at Taiwan, we would be in a state of war with China right now.

We are far closer to the kinetic phase of World War III than most people realize.

And violence is constantly in the air.

In fact, New Year’s Eve celebrations are being canceled in major cities all over the globe due to the threat of terror attacks

Celebrations on New Year’s Eve are being scrapped in cities around the world as local authorities fear terror threats in cities from Sydney to Paris. Thousands of people looking to celebrate the start of 2026 have had their plans thwarted as reports of planned attacks have caused parties, fireworks and live events to be cancelled just days away from December 31.

I don’t think that the cities that have canceled their celebrations are being paranoid.

The threat is very real, and hopefully we can get through the next couple of days without some sort of a major tragedy.

Our world is getting crazier with each passing month.

If you thought that 2025 was wild, just hold on tight, because I have a feeling that things are going to go to a whole new level in 2026.

Will 2026 Be A Year Of War With Iran, Russia And China? | End Of The American Dream

I think that nearly the entire population of the world would like to see peace in 2026, but global events just continue to drag us toward war.  I honestly do not understand why more people are not upset about this.  The drumbeats of war seem to get louder with each passing day, and we are getting dangerously close to a point of no return.  Nobody wanted World War I to happen, but once it started nobody could stop it and more than 20 million people died.  Nobody wanted World War II to happen, but once it started nobody could stop it and more than 50 million people died.  Now we have reached a stage where a war between major powers should be unthinkable because of the immense power of the weapons that we now possess.  If we are not very careful, billions of people could die before World War III is finally over.

I am extremely concerned that war with Iran could erupt again very soon.

On Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ominously declared that his nation is “at total war with the United States, Israel and Europe”…

Iran’s president declared they were in a “total war” with the US, Israel and Europe, just as Tehran looks to rebuild its nuclear capabilities and strengthen ties with Hamas.

Masoud Pezeshkian made the bold statement in an interview published in state media Saturday, Barron’s reported.

“In my opinion, we are at total war with the United States, Israel and Europe. They want to bring our country to its knees,” Pezeshkian said.

I don’t like the sound of that at all.

How does a “total war” end?

Pezeshkian seems to believe that the U.S., Israel and Europe are “besieging” Iran from every direction

“This war is worse than Iraq’s war against us; if one understands it well, this war is far more complex and difficult than that war,” Pezeshkian said. Iran fought a prolonged war with its neighbor throughout the 1980s.

“In the war with Iraq, the situation was clear: they fired missiles,” the Iranian president said. But the U.S., Israel and European countries politically, economically, culturally “besieging” Iran, as well as impacting the nation’s security, he added.

“On one side, they block our sales, our exchanges, our trade, and on the other side, expectations in society have risen,” Pezeshkian said.

A predator that has been backed into a corner is extremely dangerous.

The Iranians have rebuilt their strategic missile arsenal, and it is now even stronger than it was during the 12 Day War.

And Pezeshkian is warning that if Iran is attacked again, those that do so will “face a more decisive response”

Pezeshkian brushed off the impact of Trump’s strikes in June in his latest remarks, and said Iran’s military has rebuilt to a stronger position than it was in before the conflict.

‘Our beloved military forces are doing their jobs with strength and now, in terms of equipment and manpower, despite all the problems we have, they are stronger than when they attacked,’ he said.

‘So if they want to attack, they will naturally face a more decisive response.’

Needless to say, Pezeshkian is not being paranoid in this particular case, because it is being widely reported that the Israelis are considering an attack on Iran’s ballistic missile program.

In fact, it appears that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be discussing this with President Trump when he travels to Florida on Monday

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to travel to Mar-a-Lago Monday where he is expected to pitch President Trump on a plan to launch new strikes against Tehran.

Israeli sources claim that the Islamic Republic is repairing its air defense systems and rebuilding its ballistic missile program, both of which were destroyed by airstrikes during the war, according to an NBC report.

The Florida powwow also is believed to be crucial to the Gaza deal, with top White House aides believing Netanyahu is sabotaging the peace framework, Axios reported.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is alleging that our European allies are “getting ready to fight it out with Russia on the battlefield”

“After a new administration came to power in the United States, Europe and the European Union emerged as the main obstacles to peace,” Russia’s veteran Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Russia’s Tass state news agency in an interview published on Sunday. “They are making no secret of the fact that they are getting ready to fight it out with Russia on the battlefield.”

Lavrov is not wrong about this.

In fact, earlier this month I listed a whole bunch of signs that the Europeans are feverishly preparing for war.

But the mainstream media keeps telling us that the Ukrainians and the Europeans want peace.

Of course I don’t believe that is true at all.

The Ukrainians and the Europeans fully understand that the “peace plan” that they are working on does not have a prayer of actually being accepted by the Russians

On Christmas Eve, Zelensky said the US and Ukraine had reached a consensus on a number of critical issues, and indicated he was open to creating a demilitarised zone on his country’s eastern border with Russia.

But he has continued to resist Russian demands that Ukraine gives up two of its eastern regions, Luhansk and Donetsk.

Russia is also likely to object to a role for Nato forces in monitoring a ceasefire, which European leaders including Sir Keir and French President Emmanuel Macron have said must form part of any deal.

Once the Russians inevitably reject this “deal”, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham says that it will be time to start seizing tankers that are carrying Russian oil

If Putin says “no” this time, I hope the president will sign our bill and impose tariffs on China and other countries purchasing cheap oil from Russia, a state sponsor of terrorism. Therefore, it is equally important to seize and arrest ships carrying sanctioned Russian oil, following the Venezuelan scenario.

And the Europeans may use it as an excuse to start sending troops into Ukraine, even though they know that the Russians have warned over and over again that they will shoot at any European troops that enter the country

It comes as Moscow warned that any European troop contingents deployed to Ukraine would become legitimate targets for Russia’s armed forces in comments published by Russia’s state news agency TASS on Sunday.

Mr Putin warned that Moscow would accomplish all its goals by force if Ukraine didn’t want to resolve the conflict peacefully.

The Russians have made it very clear what it will take to make a deal.

Since they are winning the war, they feel like they have the right to set the terms.

Of course the Ukrainians and the Europeans will never give the Russians what they want.

And so Russian forces will just continue to march forward.

In recent weeks, the pace at which the Russians have been taking territory has increased

In the Zaporozhie southern region, Gulyaipole and Stepnogorsk were conquered.

Gulyaipole, the second biggest Zaporozhie city, is an important stronghold and a key logistics hub and it fell after a short siege.

In the Donetsk region, Mirnograd (Dimitrov), Rodinskoye, Artemovka and Volnoye were also conquered.

Mirnograd/Dimitrov is an important part of the Pokrovsk/Krasnoarmeysk agglomeration, one of the last major fortified areas under Ukraine’s control in the Donbass.

Within the past few days, there has apparently been a significant breakthrough in the Zaporizhia region.

According to one report, it is “eight kilometers deep in places and 20 kilometers wide”…

Russian troops from the Dnipro Group of Forces have broken through the Kyiv regime’s front west of Orekhovo in the Zaporizhia region. According to military analysts, the breach is up to eight kilometers deep in places and 20 kilometers wide.

According to reports from the field, Russian units are currently advancing toward the settlements of Magdalinovka, Pavlovka, and Lukyanovskoye. Concurrently, the clearing of Stepnogorsk, where a significant Ukrainian Armed Forces force was recently encircled, continues.

The more Russian units advance, the more pressure European leaders will feel to intervene militarily.

And if NATO forces move into Ukraine, we will be just one step away from nuclear war.

Sadly, we are also getting closer to war with China.

The largest arms sale to Taiwan in history was recently approved, and in response the Chinese slapped sanctions on 20 U.S. defense companies

China has imposed sanctions against 20 US defence-related companies and 10 executives, a week after Washington announced large-scale arms sales to Taiwan.

According to the Chinese foreign ministry, the sanctions entail freezing the companies’ assets in China and banning individuals and organisations from dealing with them.

“We stress once again that the Taiwan question is at the very core of China’s core interests and the first red line that must not be crossed in China-US relations,” the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday.

“Any company or individual who engages in arms sales to Taiwan will pay the price for the wrongdoing.”

Why would we approve such a large arms package for Taiwan when things were already so tense with China?

We just can’t seem to stop provoking the Chinese.

Needless to say, the Chinese are also very upset that we have been seizing Venezuelan oil tankers

China on Monday accused the U.S. of violating international law in seizing oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela, appearing to take the side of Caracas as Washington looks to take a third oil tanker this month.

“The U.S. practice of arbitrarily seizing other countries’ vessels grossly violates international law,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian told reporters, according to Bloomberg, adding that Beijing opposes anything that “infringes upon other countries’ sovereignty and security, and all acts of unilateralism or bullying.”

Lin added that Venezuela “has the right to independently develop mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries,” and Beijing supports Caracas in “defending its own legitimate rights and interests.”

Venezuela has the most proven oil reserves on the entire planet, and the Chinese purchase more oil from Venezuela than everyone else combined.

Ultimately, a military confrontation with Venezuela could eventually evolve into a military confrontation with China.

The time to stop a war is before it starts.

If we do not choose peace now, the consequences could be cataclysmic.

When will everybody finally start waking up?

We are literally at one of the most critical turning points in history, but most people in the western world have become so deeply addicted to entertainment that they have absolutely no idea what is really going on out there.

From stalled urban battles to collapsing strongholds, developments in December highlight Russia’s growing operational advantage

No turning point for Ukraine: The frontline reality Western media won’t show

By late December, the gap between political statements and battlefield realities has grown harder to ignore. Despite localized fighting and temporary slowdowns, the Russian Army continues to press forward along key sectors of the front, gradually eroding  defenses and dictating the pace of operations.

During a press conference on December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin succinctly outlined the situation at the front: since March, when Kursk Region was cleared of enemy forces, the full strategic initiative on the battlefield has been in the hands of the Russian Army. This means that Russian forces are advancing along the entire front line.

How Russia fought – and won – in 2025

A counter-question was immediately posed: what about Kupyansk? The Ukrainian military claims to have recaptured the city, and Vladimir Zelensky has reportedly even visited it. So, let’s start our overview there.

Kupyansk

The Russian Army faces challenges in Kupyansk because the ‘West’ group of forces has failed to encircle the city from three sides before engaging in battles. Kupyansk is divided from north to south by the Oskol River; to encircle the city, the Russian Army needs to establish reliable and well-protected crossings north and south of the city, and also advance from the east.

Russian forces were able to establish, fortify, and expand a foothold north of Kupyansk, in the Kondrashovka area; however, they didn’t establish a foothold south of the city, along the Senkovo-Krugliakovka line (1 on map). However, this summer, the Ukrainian defenses in Kupyansk weakened significantly, prompting the Russian command to decide to enter the city from the north.

Until mid-October, battles for Kupyansk progressed fairly well. To reach the city, it was said that troops would have to navigate through a heating pipeline at the bottom of the river (2) and then continue on foot or crawl their way forward. Logistics were complicated and relied on personal delivery or drones. But the risk was worth taking.

By mid-October, the central part of Kupyansk, located on the right bank of the river, was fully under Russian control. Due to logistical challenges, it was not possible to deploy large troop formations in Kupyansk; estimates suggest that no more than 150-200 Russian soldiers were present there at a time.

However, the left-bank portion of the city, where a major railway hub is located, remains under Ukrainian control (3); up to 3,500 soldiers are operationally encircled there.

Ukrainian forces recognized the weak points of the Russian positions on the right bank and launched a local counteroffensive. In late October, Ukrainian forces reinforced their troops and attempted to cut off Russian supply lines between Kupyansk and Kondrashovka (4). As a result, the area north of the city has become a gray zone. Supplies are mainly delivered by drones, despite the fact that the supply routes haven’t been physically cut off.

However, the pace of combat in the city has noticeably slowed, forcing the command of the ‘West’ group of forces to revert to a more conservative approach, shifting the focus to the left bank. The goal is to liberate the area, capture the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy railway station, and establish a physical link with the right bank within the city itself.

Could this local failure of the Russian Army have a noticeable impact on the future course of the conflict? Not really. Kupyansk will only gain strategic importance if the front shifts back by 25-30km, beyond the reach of FPV drones. Only then can the railway be utilized for supplying the army, which would ease logistics in this remote corner of the front.

Liman

In addition to Kupyansk, the ‘West’ group of forces is advancing towards Liman, the second major city north of the Seversky Donets River. Russian forces abandoned Liman during Ukraine’s counteroffensive in 2022. Liman needs to be recaptured by Russian troops not just because it is located in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic, but also in order to secure the northern flank for potential future battles over Slavyansk.

In the past month, the eastern flank of the city has been fully isolated, and a 7km stretch of the road between Liman and Seversk has been severed. The partial encirclement on the western flank has expanded, and intense fighting continues within the city itself.

All of this signifies that the Ukrainian garrison in Liman has entered a phase of exhaustion. If it weren’t for orders to hold the city at all costs, Ukrainian forces would likely have retreated long ago, as supplying the city across the river is quite challenging.

Seversk

On December 11, Seversk was officially liberated. The city was captured in less than a month, which is remarkably quick by the standards of the current conflict. Once the Russian army took control of both main routes leading into the city at the end of November, its fate was sealed.

The Ukrainian garrison here could have held out longer, as for example, in Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk). However, unlike in other ‘strongholds’, the Ukrainian forces chose not to launch suicidal counterattacks here and wisely left the area in a timely manner.

© RT / Sergey Poletaev based on data from Lostarmor.Ru

The capture of Seversk paves the way to Ukrainian forces’ major stronghold: the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban agglomeration. If Russian forces manage to cross the river west of Seversk (1 on map) and establish a foothold on higher ground, Ukraine would have to abandon another defensive line and retreat towards Slavyansk.

Such a maneuver is quite possible. For example, it was the crossing of the Seversky Donets River near the railway bridge in the area of Dronovka that allowed the Russians to cut off one of the routes to Seversk, leading to success in battles for the city.

Pokrovsk – Mirnograd

The Pokrovsk-Mirnograd urban agglomeration was the second most populous area remaining under Ukrainian control in Donbass. Moreover, open steppes stretch for nearly 100km west of Pokrovsk, so beyond the city there are no major settlements where Ukrainian forces can establish durable defense.

Fighting in this area has continued since spring; we’ve covered it in detail before.

READ MORE: The battle the world is watching, but few understand: What’s really going on in Pokrovsk?

In the past month, two key events have occurred. Firstly, the Ukrainian counteroffensive has failed. The Ukrainian attempt to break through the encirclement of Mirnograd from the north via Rodninskoye hasn’t produced any result, and Rodninskoye has partially come back under Russian control.

Secondly, by the end of November, the Russian Army completely liberated Pokrovsk. A tight physical encirclement was formed (for the first time since battles for Mariupol), leaving the garrison in Mirnograd trapped. Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers surrendered, a few dozen managed to escape through the fields; the fate of the rest is clear.

© RT / Sergey Poletaev based on data from Lostarmor.Ru

According to reports, as of December 25, 90-95% of the urban area of Mirnograd had been cleared. Due to our conservative reporting standards, the map shows a smaller area of control – it is based on video evidence, which usually lags behind compared to the situation on the ground.

The fates of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd have been sealed. It’s likely that official announcements of their liberation will come before the end of the year.

Gulaipole

In the past several months, the greatest advance of the Russian Army has been noted between Gulaipole in Zaporozhye Region and Pokrovskoye in Dnepropetrovsk Region. This front is crucial for two reasons: first, it runs along one of Ukraine’s major defensive lines, rendering it largely ineffective.

Second, Russian forces are advancing across open steppes and favorable terrain toward Zaporozhye, and as we can see, the Ukrainian military is currently unable to stop them, as it struggles to establish a stable front there.

Over the past month, Russian forces have taken full control over the eastern bank of the Gaichur river without fighting; troops advanced up to 15km along a 30km front.

© RT / Sergey Poletaev based on data from Lostarmor.Ru

Russian troops also established a foothold across the river on the northern flank of the offensive, and captured Peschanoye and Gerasimovka without major resistance.

Ukrainian forces managed to establish a certain defense only in the city of Gulaipole. The Russian Army couldn’t capture it right away; only the part of the city on the eastern bank of the Gaichur river was liberated without battles.

However, Russian troops managed to cross the river and battles are now underway in the central districts of the city. Ukrainian reinforcements sent in to defend the city found themselves operationally encircled, as a 30km stretch of the only road leading into the city is under intense fire control

Stockman: The Real Story Behind The Russia–Ukraine War… And What Happens Next | ZeroHedge

Authored by David Stockman via InternationalMan.com,

Notwithstanding the historic fluidity of borders, there is no case whatsoever that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 was “unprovoked” and unrelated to NATO’s own transparent provocations in the region.

The details are arrayed below, but the larger issue needs be addressed first.

Namely, is there any reason to believe that Russia is an expansionist power looking to gobble up neighbors which were not integral parts of its own historic evolution, as is the case with Ukraine?

After all, if despite Rubio’s treachery President Trump does manage to strike a Ukraine peace and partition deal with Putin you can be sure that the neocons will come charging in with a false Munich appeasement analogy.

The answer, however, is a resounding no!

Our firm rebuke of the hoary Munich analogy as it has been falsely applied to Putin is based on what might be called the double-digit rule. To wit, the true expansionary hegemons of modern history have spent huge parts of their GDP on defense because that’s what it takes to support the military infrastructure and logistics required for invasion and occupation of foreign lands.

For instance, here are the figures for military spending by Nazi Germany from 1935–1944 expressed as a percent of GDP. This is what an aggressive hegemon looks like in the ramp-up to war: German military spending had already reach 23% of GDP, even before its invasion of Poland in September 1939 and its subsequent commencement of actual military campaigns of invasion and occupation.

Not surprisingly, the same kind of claim on resources occurred when the United States took it upon itself to counter the aggression of Germany and Japan on a global basis. By 1944 defense spending was equal to 40% of America’s GDP, and would have totaled more than $2 trillion per year in present day dollars of purchasing power.

Military Spending As A Percent Of GDP In Nazi Germany

  • 1935: 8%.
  • 1936: 13%.
  • 1937: 13%.
  • 1938: 17%.
  • 1939: 23%.
  • 1940: 38%.
  • 1941: 47%.
  • 1942: 55%.
  • 1943: 61%.
  • 1944: 75%

By contrast, during the final year before Washington/NATO triggered  proxy war in February 2022, the Russian military budget was $65 billion, which amounted to just 3.5% of its GDP.

Moreover, the prior years showed no build-up of the kind that has always accompanied historic aggressors. For the period 1992 to 2022, for instance, the average military spending by Russia was 3.8% of GDP– with a minimum of 2.7% in 1998 and a maximum of 5.4% in 2016.

Needless to say, you don’t invade the Baltics or Poland—to say nothing of Germany, France, the Benelux and crossing the English Channel—on 3.5% of GDP! Not even remotely.

Since full scale war broke out in 2022 Russian military spending has increased significantly to 6% of GDP, but all of that is being consumed by the Demolition Derby in Ukraine—barely 100 miles from its own border.

That is, even at 6% of GDP Russia has not yet been able to subdue its own historic borderlands. So if Russia self-evidently does not have the economic and military capacity to conquer its non-Ukrainian neighbors in its own region, let alone Europe proper, what is the war really about?

In short, it is rooted in territorial disputes and civil strife in lands which have been vassals or integral parts of greater Russia for several centuries. As indicated, Ukraine actually means “borderlands” in the Russian language, connoting stateless areas that were first assembled into a coherent polity by Lenin, Stalin and Khrushchev by force of arms after 1920.

In fact, prior to the communist takeover of Russia, no country that even faintly resembled today’s Ukrainian borders had ever existed. So what NATO’s proxy war actually amounts to is an insensible attempt to enforce the dead hand of the Soviet presidium, as we amplify below.

For avoidance of doubt here are sequential maps that tell the story, and which make mincemeat of the Washington/NATO sanctity of borders malarkey. The first of these is a 220-year-old map from 1800, where the yellow area depicts the approximate territory of the five regions—Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia plus Crimea—that will be allowed to go their own way, including back to Mother Russia, if the key ingredients of the Donald’s 28-point peace place can be resurrected.

As it has happened, these regions have voted overwhelmingly during referendums in 2023 and 2014, respectively, to separate from Ukraine in favor of affiliation with Russia.

Collectively, the five regions were historically known as the aforementioned Novorossiya or “New Russia” and had been acquired by Russian rulers, including Catherine the Great between 1734 and 1791.

The red markings within the yellow areas of the map designate the year of Russian acquisition. Self-evidently, therefore, the Russian Empire had gradually gained control over this vast area north of the Black Sea before the end of the 18th century. To that end, it had signed peace treaties with the Cossack Hetmanate (1734) and with the Ottoman Empire at the conclusion of the various Russo-Turkish Wars of that era.

Pursuant to this expansion drive – which included massive Russian investment and the in-migration of large Russian populations to the region – Russia established the “Novorossiysk Governaorate” in 1764. The latter was originally to be named after the Empress Catherine, but she decreed that it should be called “New Russia” instead.

Completing the assemblage of New Russia, Catherine forcefully liquidated its aforementioned century-long Cossack ally known as the Zaporizhian Sich (present day Zaporizhia) in 1775 and annexed its territory to Novorossiya, thus eliminating the independent rule of the Ukrainian Cossacks. Later in 1783 she acquired Crimea from the Turks, which was also added to Novorossiya, as shown in yellow area of the map above.

During this formative period, the infamous shadow ruler under Catherine, Prince Grigori Potemkin, directed the sweeping settlement and Russification of these lands. Effectively, Catherine had granted him the powers of an absolute ruler over the area from 1774 onward.

The spirit and importance of “New Russia” at this time is aptly captured by the historian Willard Sunderland,

“The old steppe was Asian and stateless; the current one was state-determined and claimed for -Russian civilization. The world of comparison was now even more obviously that of the Western empires. Consequently, it was all the more clear that the Russian empire merited its own “New Russia” to go along with everyone else’s New Spain, New France and New England. The adoption of the name of New Russia was in fact the most powerful statement imaginable of Russia’s national coming of age.

In fact, the passage of time solidified the borders of Novorossiya even more completely. One century later the light-yellow area of the 1897 map below gave an unmistakable message: To wit, in the late Russian Empire there was no doubt as to the paternity of the lands adjacent to the Azov Sea and the Black Sea: They were now part of the 125 years-old “New Russia”.

Where’s Waldo—Ukraine—on This Map

After the Russian Revolution, of course, the pieces and parts in this region of the old Czarist Empire were bundled-up into a convenient administrative entity by the new red rulers of Moscow, who christened it the “Ukrainian SSR” (Soviet Socialist Republic). In a like manner, they created similar administrative entities in Belorussia, Georgia, Moldavia, Turkmenistan etc.—ultimately confecting 15 such faux “republics”.

During the course of this communist state-building, here is how and when these brutal tyrants attached each piece of today’s Ukrainian map to the territories acquired or seized by the Russian Czars over 1654-1917 (yellow area):

  • The old Novorossiya of the Donbas and Black Sea rim was added to the Ukraine SSR by Lenin in 1922.
  • The western territory around Lviv that been known as Little Poland and Galicia were captured by Stalin in 1939 and thereafter when he and Hitler carved up Poland.
  • Upon the death of the bloody Stalin in 1954, Khrushchev made a deal with his Presidium allies to transfer Crimea from the Russian SSR to the Ukrainian SSR in return for their support in the battle for succession.

In a word, Ukraine is the bastard spawn of communist blood and iron. Yet during the last decade the Washington and the NATO warhawks have spent upwards of $300 billion to ensure that the handiwork of autocratic Czars and Commissars remains intact into the 21st century and presumably beyond.

It is ironic, therefore, that the historically illiterate Donald Trump has the good sense to dispense with one of the stupidest crusades that the War Party on the Potomac has yet concocted. So doing, he would enable the failed handiwork of communist tyrants to be made right with history—an outcome that can now happen if and only if the Donald gets the Rubio digression back on track.

Modern Ukraine: Born In Communist Blood and Iron

Of course, had the above-mentioned 20th century communist trio been noble benefactors of mankind, perhaps their subsequent map-making handiwork and reassignment of Novorossiya to Ukraine might have been justified. Under this benign counterfactual, they would have presumably combined peoples of like ethnic, linguistic, religious and politico-cultural history into a cohesive natural polity and state. That is, a nation worth perpetuating, defending and perhaps even dying for.

Alas, the reason that Trump is right to attempt to end this bloody catastrophe via partition is that the very opposite was true. From 1922 to 1991 modern Ukraine was held together by the monopoly on violence of its brutally totalitarian rulers. And that became more than evident when the Kremlin temporarily lost control of Ukraine during the military battles of World War II. During that especially bloody interlude, the communist administrative entity called Ukraine came apart at the seams.

That is, local Ukrainian nationalists joined Hitler’s Wehrmacht in its depredations against Jews, Poles, Roma and Russians when it first swept through the country from the west on its way to Stalingrad; and then, in turn, the Russian populations from the Donbas and south campaigned with the Red Army during its vengeance-wreaking return from the east after winning the bloody 1943 battle of Stalingrad that turned the course of WWII.

Not surprisingly, therefore, virtually from the minute it came out from under the communist yoke when the Soviet Union was swept into the dustbin of history in 1991, Ukraine has been engulfed in political and actual civil war. The elections which did occur were essentially 50/50 at the national level but reflected dueling 80/20 vote breakouts within the regions. That is, the Ukrainian nationalist candidates tended to get vote margins of 80% + in the West/Central areas, while Russian-sympathizing candidates got similar pluralities in the mainly Russian-speaking East and South.

This pattern transpired because once the iron-hand of totalitarian rule ended in 1991, the deep and historically rooted conflict between Ukrainian nationalism, language and politics of the central and western regions of the country and the Russian language and historical religious and political affinities of the Donbas and south came rushing to the surface.

Accordingly, so-called democracy barely survived these contests until February 2014 when one of Washington’s “color revolutions” finally “succeeded”. That is to say, the Washington fomented and financed nationalist-led coupe d état ended the fragile post-communist equilibrium.

That’s the true meaning of the Maidan coup. It ended the tenuous cohesion that kept the artificial state of Ukraine intact for barely two decades after the Soviet demise. So save for Washington’s destructive intervention, the partition of a communist-confected state that had never been built to last would have materialized all on its own–perhaps like in Czechoslovakia—-and likely sooner than later.

At the end of the day, therefore, the necessary impending partition of the rogue state of Ukraine is not a case at all of legitimate sovereign borders being violated. Nor does it involve an assault on the hypocritical notion of a “rules-based international order” that has not actually ever existed and which, instead, has been a cover for Washington’s global hegemony all along.

But the lessons are nonetheless profound. History accumulates and eventually leads to destructive, but wholly unnecessary outcomes.

That is the case today with the utterly foolish action of Washington during the 1990s and 2000s to bring former Warsaw Pact Nations, and even breakaway Soviet Republics into a NATO alliance whose mission was over and done in 1991.

It should have been dismantled then and there. When the old Soviet monster with its 50,000 tanks and 7,000 nuclear warheads disappeared into the dustbin of history, there was no longer a threat to the east. There was no “front line” to defend.

At that point Washington should have and easily could have led the world to disarmament and to a revival of the lasting peace that had disappeared in the “Guns of August” in 1914.

But now the NATO section 5 mutual defense commitment to these 31 nations is equivalent to a stupid charity that the nearly bankrupt Federal government cannot afford in any case.

There is absolutely nothing in it for the enhancement of America’s homeland security, and huge incentives for the politicians of these nations to caterwaul against Russia rather than seek peaceful accommodation.

So here is the historic moment before us: The Donald now needs to tell Rubio in no uncertain terms to take a hike and then return to the essence of the 28-point plan and agree with Putin to a partition of Ukraine.

So doing, he would not only end the utter stupidity of NATO’s proxy war on Russia, but in the process accomplish something more of literally epic proportions: Namely, the defenestration of the neocons, official Washington, NATO, the rules based international order and all the other globalist humbug that has saddled America with $1.5 trillion per year Warfare State and Global Empire that it cannot afford and doesn’t need.

If the history laid out above makes anything clear, it’s that the real danger to America rarely comes from distant, shifting borders—but from the misguided ambitions of those who gamble with our future in the name of “global leadership.” As Washington sleepwalks deeper into conflicts that have nothing to do with genuine US security, the stakes for ordinary Americans grow higher by the day. That’s why now is the moment to get informed, not after the next crisis erupts. Legendary investor Doug Casey has issued a stark warning about what he believes may be the most dangerous event of the 21st century—an event set in motion by the very forces discussed in this article. His special report explains what’s coming, why it matters, and how you can prepare before it’s too late. If you want to understand the real risks ahead—and what they could mean for your freedom, finances and future—you can access Doug’s urgent video report here.

9 Signs That Leaders All Over The Globe Have Come Down With A Really Bad Case Of “War Fever” | End Of The American Dream

How close can we get to the edge without falling over?  The largest military conflict in Europe since World War II is poised to go to the next level in 2026, war could erupt again in the Middle East at any moment, the U.S. is on the verge of starting a new war in Venezuela, and China is absolutely furious about a brand new weapons package that has just been approved for Taiwan.  The dogs of war are clawing at the gate, and yet most people don’t seem too concerned.  This is particularly true in the western world, and that is extremely unfortunate.  We really are dangerously close to a nightmare scenario, and the clock is ticking.  The following are 9 signs that leaders all over the globe have come down with a really bad case of “war fever”…

#1 The Europeans are feverishly preparing for war with Russia, and this is something that I covered extensively in a previous article.  After months of hearing them talk about the potential for a direct conflict with Russia, it sounds like Russian President Vladimir Putin has lost his patience with them.  In fact, Putin just referred to European leaders as “pigs” and “piglets”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has derisively referred to UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer as a “little pig” and openly discussed the positioning of Russian missiles within striking range of the UK.

During an annual meeting of the Russian defense ministry, Putin pointed fingers at former US President Joe Biden for intentionally instigating the conflict in Ukraine, further stating that “European little pigs” were quick to support the Americans. “Everyone assumed that they would destroy Russia in a short period of time, they would ruin it,” Putin declared.

“And the European piglets immediately joined in to aid the former American administration in this task. They were hoping to profit from the collapse of our country. To get back something that was lost in previous historical periods and try to take revenge. As it has now become obvious to everyone. All these attempts and all these destructive plans towards Russia completely failed.”

#2 At that same meeting, Putin boldly declared that all of the Russian goals in Ukraine will either be achieved diplomatically or they will be achieved by force

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared during a Defense Ministry board meeting on Wednesday that Russia will accomplish its goals, either through diplomacy or military force.

“The goals of the special military operation will undoubtedly be achieved. We would prefer to accomplish this and address the root causes of the conflict through diplomatic means. However, if the opposing side and its foreign patrons refuse to engage in substantive dialogue, Russia will achieve the liberation of its historical lands by military means. The task of creating and expanding a security buffer zone will also be carried out consistently,” Putin said, according to a Kremlin transcript.

#3 The Ukrainians will never willingly hand over the territories that the Russians want, and so it appears that fighting will continue for the foreseeable future. And the longer the fighting goes on, the more likely it becomes that the Ukrainians will be successful in dragging NATO into the war. In a very lengthy post on X, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that next year will be “a year of war”

Today, we again heard signals from Moscow that they are preparing to make next year a year of war. These signals are not only for us. It is crucial that our partners see them, and not only see them but also respond – especially partners in the United States, who often say that Russia wants to end the war.

Yet the signals coming from Russia are the exact opposite, taking the form of official orders to their army. This Russian mindset must be recognized – and acted upon. When Russia is in this mindset, it will also undermine diplomacy – seeking, through diplomatic language and pressure over specific points in documents – to merely mask its desire to destroy Ukraine and Ukrainians, and the desire to legitimize Russia’s theft of our land. And then come other countries in Europe, which someone in Russia might one day label their so‑called “historical lands.”

Real protection is needed against this Russian case history of madness, and we will continue working with all partners to ensure that protection is in place. Security measures are needed, financial measures are needed – including actions on Russian assets – political measures are needed. And the courage of all partners is required: to see the truth, acknowledge the truth, and act accordingly. I want to thank everyone who supports Ukraine.

#4 Russian forces continue to steadily move forward in Ukraine.  This week, it is being reported that Russian forces are on the verge of capturing Hulyaipole…

Assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces are already actively operating in the center of Hulyaipole, according to the German tabloid Bild. The publication notes that the attack on the city is currently underway from all sides.

Russian sources, while confirming this information, emphasize the difficulties faced by Kyiv regime militants defending Huliaipole. The city doesn’t have many high-rise neighborhoods. Moreover, most of them are either destroyed or under the control of Russian forces.

#5 It is being alleged that three members of Russia’s FSB snuck under the border fence and briefly crossed over into Estonian territory

NATO Member Estonia has accused the Russian Federation of briefly infiltrating a small group of security agents under its border force into its territory, the latest in a series of incidents that have riled the Western alliance.

The Estonian government cited security camera footage showing a group of three Russian border guards, an agency under the Russian Federation’s Federal Security Service (FSB), the inheritor agency of the KGB and others, illegally crossing into its territory on Wednesday. According to their telling of events, three Russians crossed the Narva River on the Estonia-Russia border while riding on a hovercraft and disembarked onto a spit of land in the river on the Estonian side of the line of control.

The three agents of the Russian Federation’s border guard are said to have walked around before embarking back on their hovercraft and going home. Estonia has upped police and border patrols since the incident and say they have called diplomatic discussions with Moscow to make their protests known.

#6 Israel and Hezbollah are supposed to have a ceasefire, but fighting continues to break out.  Just within the past 24 hours, Israeli leaders authorized “a series of airstrikes across southern and northeastern Lebanon”…

Israel reportedly carried out a series of airstrikes across southern and northeastern Lebanon just ahead of the Dec. 31 deadline for the terrorist organization Hezbollah to disarm.

The strikes hit Hezbollah infrastructure sites and launching sites in a military compound that the terror organization uses to train and hold courses for its members, according to The Associated Press, which cited the Israeli military. Israel also said it struck Hezbollah military structures that stored weapons.

#7 The U.S. House of Representatives could have passed a bill that would have prevented a war with Venezuela from starting without congressional approval.  Unfortunately, members of the House voted it down

The House on Wednesday voted down a War Powers Resolution meant to block President Trump from launching a war with Venezuela without congressional authorization, as required by the Constitution.

The bill failed in a vote of 211-213, with nine representatives not voting. Just three Republicans joined Democrats in supporting the bill: Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY), Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA), and Don Bacon (NE). One Democrat, Henry Cuellar (TX), voted against the legislation.

The legislation would have directed the president to remove “United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against Venezuela that have not been authorized by Congress.”

#8 Our leaders just keep on doing things that they know will greatly anger the Chinese.  For example, we have just learned that the largest package of arms sales for Taiwan in history has been approved…

Just a day ago the US administration communicated to China that it is ready to defend American interests in the Pacific region. Now, it’s being reported that the US has approved $11.1 billion in arms-sales for Taiwan, the single largest ever such announced transfer and clear show of support from Washington.

Unveiled late Wednesday, the major arms sales are intended to support Taipei’s efforts to “modernize its armed forces and to maintain a credible defensive capability,” according to the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

#9 The Chinese are absolutely furious about this aid package.  They are strongly condemning what we have done, and they are demanding that we immediately stop “arming Taiwan”

Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said Washington’s decision undermines China’s sovereignty and security interests and sends a wrong signal to “Taiwan independence” separatist forces.

Calling the authorization of the massive arms sale a “blatant interference in China’s internal affairs,” Chen said it seriously violates the one-China principle and the three China-US Joint Communiques, particularly the Aug 17 Communique of 1982.

“We firmly oppose and strongly condemn this,” Chen said, demanding that the US immediately stop “arming Taiwan” and cease supporting “Taiwan independence” separatist forces.

The Chinese are also very upset about our blockade of Venezuela, because they purchase more oil from the Venezuelans than everyone else combined.

U.S. officials seem to think that they can keep pushing the Chinese around without experiencing any serious consequences.

Needless to say, I am convinced that they are completely wrong about that.

In my opinion, it is easy to imagine a scenario in which we are witnessing war in Asia, war in South America, war in the Middle East and war in Europe simultaneously.

If such a scenario actually unfolds, it truly would be a worldwide war.

If global leaders want to choose the path of peace, now is the time to do so.

Unfortunately, “war fever” has gripped most global leaders at this stage, and that is not good news for anyone.

EU Globalists Threaten to Dump $2.34 Trillion in U.S. Debt to Stop Trump’s Ukraine Peace Deal | The Gateway Pundit

European Union flags waving in front of the modern European Commission building against a clear blue sky.

The EU’s pro-war, globalist, anti-American leaders are doing everything in their power—including weighing what’s being called a “nuclear option” of deliberately shaking the foundations of the U.S. economy—to block a peace settlement in Ukraine, even as President Trump advances direct negotiations aimed at finally ending the nearly four-year-long inter-Slavic war.

According to reports, the globalist bloc in Europe is threatening to sell-off $2.34 trillion in US Treasury holdings if Trump withdraws support for Ukraine—an action that some analysts claim could  trigger a downturn more severe than the 2008 crash.

Recently, behind closed doors, American and Ukrainian delegations met again in Miami, signaling Washington’s renewed push for a peace settlement instead of endless military escalation and the unending flow of cash into what many see as the black pit of corruption within the Ukrainian government.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio joined Trump’s Russia envoy Steve Witkoff and adviser Jared Kushner for the talks. Trump said afterward there is “a real shot at a deal,” reinforcing his long-held promise to stop the war before it spirals further.

Europe’s entrenched ruling class—deeply unpopular at home while increasingly irrelevant geopolitically— however, is panicking at the idea of peace breaking out on terms they and their globalist backers cannot control. Brussels and Berlin fear Trump may reset relations with Moscow and sideline the EU, which has spent years posturing as the moral authority of the Western alliance.

According to reports, one European intelligence service distributed internal memos warning that Trump’s outreach to Russia could upend NATO’s preferred strategy. These documents accuse Washington of considering commercial cooperation with Moscow—something Europe once embraced before its own sanctions backfired.

Rather than welcoming diplomacy, EU officials are allegedly weighing economic retaliation if Trump dares to end the war on his own terms. Sources say some governments have floated the idea of dumping portions of their massive holdings of U.S. debt as a form of pressure.

Such a move would be a dramatic escalation—essentially an attempt to destabilize the American economy to keep the Ukraine conflict alive. Analysts note this financial “nuclear option” could send shockwaves through global markets and severely devalue the dollar.

European technocrats appear willing to risk worldwide turmoil to preserve their geopolitical ambitions. Their threat reflects how far the EU has drifted from serving its citizens and how committed it remains to endless confrontation with Russia.

Trump supporters argue this proves the President is right: Europe has grown dependent on U.S. protection while undermining American interests. By pursuing peace, Trump is challenging a globalist order that profits from permanent conflict.

EU officials fear losing both influence and leverage should peace be restored under Trump’s leadership. As midterm elections approach in the U.S., Brussels hopes its threats will intimidate Washington into maintaining the status quo.

Cry The Beloved Europe? | ZeroHedge

Authored by Victor Davis Hanson via American Greatness,

Nothing bothers the European elite as much as American conservatives praising the European foundations of their shared, but threatened, Western civilization.

especially resent having their social-welfare state system critiqued by upstart, crass Americans.

Their pique only increases as they push back against the condescending American idea that the U.S. could possibly offer any constructive advice, much less help a more civilized Europe follow the “American model.”

Americans, in turn, are worried that Europe is not just stagnating but is on a trajectory of permanent decline—with dire consequences for the entire Western world.

As for symptoms, the U.S. cites a steadily declining European share of world GDP. It points to Europe’s unsustainable 1.39 fertility rate, which ensures a steadily smaller, older, and costlier native population.

More than ten percent of Europe’s resident population is now foreign-born—some 45 million people. However, the European host, unlike a classless America, does not have a long tradition of melting-pot assimilation, integration, and acculturation.

Unlike America’s mostly Christian-nation immigration patterns, European immigrants are predominantly from the Middle East and North Africa, Islamic, and increasingly anti-Western.

Far too many of Europe’s immigrants profess too little desire to assimilate into what they consider a culturally decadent place—one that, ironically, they have no desire to leave.

The Christian Church, the linchpin of Western civilization, was born in Europe. Yet nowhere do atheism, agnosticism, and open hostility to Christendom grow stronger.

Europe, the birthplace of a dynamic Western military tradition, has been, by contemporary standards and at least until recently, virtually disarmed and unable to protect its own borders or interests.

Europe’s overregulation and war on fossil fuels, combined with a generous social welfare state, have resulted in too little revenue and too many costly dependents.

Americans dare to lecture Europe because the same Western pathologies—open borders, unassimilated immigrants, tribalism, declining fertility, green fanaticism, unsustainable budget deficits, and massive national debt—are likewise beginning to threaten America.

But unlike Europe, millions of Americans at the eleventh hour are galvanizing to stop their own insidious downward spiral.

So Americans claim to know firsthand the causes for these shared, but even more distressing, European symptoms of decay.

And their answers are the threats of several dangerous ideologies.

One pathology is green fanaticism, which has led Europeans to not only ignore their fossil fuel resources but also to dismantle existing coal, nuclear, and natural gas plants.

That suicidal folly ensured that transportation fuels and electrical power became so exorbitant that once sought-after European exports are now uncompetitive, while Europe’s strapped middle classes slip into poverty.

Meanwhile, China funds green causes in the West, exports below-cost cheap wind and solar systems, and then builds three coal or nuclear plants a month to ensure that it has much cheaper energy than the green West.

Other existential threats are diversity/equity/inclusion mandates—a precivilizational emphasis on tribal affinities of race and religion rather than shared national values and unity. The results are legions of drone DEI commissars who sow disunity, spike racial tensions, wage war on meritocracy, and increase overhead.

America further warns Europe that only cutbacks in unsustainable entitlements can allow it to reboot its militaries enough to prevent Russian bullying and threats of attack, protect supply lines of imported fuels and natural resources, and deter terrorists.

And what happens if a petulant and snarky Europe utterly rejects the American diagnosis, therapy, and prognosis?

America will decide that it can no longer afford, as NATO’s leader, to protect European borders when it struggles at home to ensure its own.

Nor can the U.S. understand an increasingly two-faced Europe.

One of its faces is the self-righteous 27-member European Union that is becoming increasingly anti-American.

The EU attacks the U.S. nonstop on matters of culture, energy, trade, censorship, and foreign policy.

Yet nearly the same nations of a 32-member NATO alliance—Europe’s other face—praise America for its military leadership and call for closer U.S.-European strategic relations.

This one-eyed Jack policy of censoring and fining American companies, blasting American allies at the United Nations, and belittling conservative, Christian, and traditional American culture, while praising the U.S. military and courting its armed assistance, is simply not sustainable.

Is there a solution? Perhaps, given that both civilizations are offering diametrically opposed correctives to their shared morbidities.

Europe is only growing more socialist, censorious, globalist, pacifist, multicultural, atheistic, and green.

In contrast, the U.S. is undergoing a counter-revolution toward smaller government, fewer regulations, more fossil fuels, an expanding military, less DEI and woke, more secure borders, legal-only immigration, and renewed faith.

Only one of these competing solutions will solve the shared crisis of Western civilization.

And let us hope the one remedy that works will be fully adopted by both.

Europe Continues To Interfere In Ukraine’s Last Chance For Peace | ZeroHedge

For those who understand the basics of attrition warfare, the outcome of the fight in Ukraine was obvious a long time ago.  Russia’s superior logistical position along with its grinding offensive tactics have worn down Ukraine’s defenses and left the country with a desperate manpower shortage.  The recent capture of the vital hub of Pokrovsk has now opened the door to an accelerating Russian advance.

The Russian offensive is gaining significant ground from Pokrovsk to the north, all the way to Kupiansk.  The strategic city of Siversk is now largely under control of Russia according to geo-location mapping.  Myrnohrad, also near Pokrovsk, has been flattened by artillery and FABs.

Ukraine’s ability to stall Russian forces is faltering, allowing the Kremlin to move troops in a swift manner closer to maneuver warfare instead of the slow and methodical process of attrition.  Ukraine continues to deny they are in trouble, but the writing is on the wall.

This helps to explain Europe’s sudden interest in “peace negotiation”, but not for the purposes of establishing actual peace.  First and foremost, we know Europe is not interested in peace because they largely refuse to engage directly with Putin and Russia in negotiations.

Instead, European leaders continue to pretend as if they can establish a peace deal unilaterally without involving the Kremlin.  They have also consistently tried to sabotage Donald Trump’s efforts for a quick resolution by deluding Zelensky with promises of access to Russian assets.

The Europeans have in fact announced their plan to confiscate Russian assets that have been frozen since the beginning of the war, using them to help fund Ukraine’s military and infrastructure.  Trump had initially intended to use those assets as a bargaining chip to convince the Russians to support his peace plan.

Zelensky and European officials have spoken often about sustaining the war for at least another two years, which is foolish given the current state of Ukraine’s front lines.  Russia does not need to conquer vast swaths of territory to win, all Russia needs to do is kill Ukrainian troops until there aren’t enough left to maintain a proper defensive line.  After that, Zelensky will lose the whole country, not just the eastern third.

Europe also continues to push for troop deployments, using NATO as a “peacekeeping force” as part of the negotiations.  Putin has repeatedly stated that this would lead to wider war.  After all, it was the encroachment of NATO into Ukraine over a decade ago that ultimately triggered the current war.

In a recent admission, Trump asserted that there will be no more handouts from the US to Ukraine, ending speculation on whether or not the hundreds of billions of dollars in US aid would continue under his administration.  The statement comes just after Trump’s revelation that Zelensky “had not even read the US peace proposal” despite other Ukrainian officials supporting the plan.

NATO and EU leaders claim that Russia is in financial peril due to sanctions and other measures, but there isn’t enough evidence to support this theory.  Russia has seen a slowdown in GDP and PMI, but so has 70% of all other national economies in the face of a global decline in economic activity.

Ukraine drone strikes on Russian infrastructure have been increasingly ineffective.  Their most recent attack involved nearly 300 drones with minimal success.   Ukraine called for a truce on attacks on energy infrastructure, indicating that their strikes are not doing as much damage as they would like.  The Kremlin rejected the offer.

It would appear that the Europeans are trying to use peace negotiations as a way to stop Russia’s advance, arguing that there can be no peace until Russia agrees to a ceasefire.  As any tactician knows, ceasefires are often nothing more than a way to stall an offensive in order to gain an advantage over an enemy who thinks you are sincere.

Europe’s behavior indicates they have no intention of ending the war.  Instead, they seem hellbent on expanding the conflict and turning it into a world war.

Zelenskyy: There may be a referendum on territories
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has consistently maintained that there is no question of giving up territory in order to make some kind of peace with Russia. On Thursday, he opened the door to letting the issue be decided by a referendum. “The Russians want all of Donbass (the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine), we do not accept that. I believe that it is the Ukrainian people who should answer this question. Regardless of whether it is done in the form of an election or a referendum, the Ukrainians must have their say,” Zelensky told reporters in Kiev. The United States is pushing for a demilitarized “free economic zone” between Russian and Ukrainian forces in the east of the country as part of a deal to end the war, Zelensky said.

Zelensky says ceasefire must be in place before Ukraine can hold elections
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday said that a ceasefire with Russia must be in place before elections can be held in Ukraine, “at least for the duration of the election process and voting”. NATO chief Rutte warns allies to step up defence spending or be Russia’s next target
NATO chief Mark Rutte on Thursday urged allies to step up defence efforts to prevent a war waged by Russia that could be “on the scale of war our grandparents and great-grandparents endured”. Wikipevil?
Wikipedia is “Wokepedia,” complains Elon Musk. That’s because it’s become so left-wing. “It’s designed to push an ideological agenda that you can’t see,” says journalist Ashley Rindsberg in my new video. The Muslim Long Game: From Syria To Europe And America, Islam’s Global Strategy Is On Full Display
On the surface, al-Sharaa is a huge improvement over the previous leadership. He says the right things, he looks good, he shakes hands with all the right people. But how different is this man from Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the nom de guerre that al-Sharaa carried when he was one of the leaders of al-Qaeda? The deeper we look at this man, the more apparent it becomes that while he says the right words, his actions betray him. He is playing the Muslim long game, similar to the “soft takeover” that Islam has carried out in Europe. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I hope that President Donald Trump and other world leaders have enough insight to see him for who he really is.

Prepare For Coming World War, NATO Chief Says

Why Is Europe Feverishly Preparing For World War III?
If there is going to be peace, why are we witnessing the largest military buildup in Europe since the end of the Cold War?  When it comes to the major players on the geopolitical stage, it is far more important to watch what they do than it is to listen to what they say.  And right now the actions that the major European powers are taking are telling us that they are preparing for a huge war with Russia.

Shockingly High Numbers Of Americans Are Skipping Meals Or Putting Off Medical Care Because Of The High Cost Of Living
Do you remember all of those people over the years that warned us that the cost of living would eventually spiral out of control? It turns out that they were right. Our leaders flooded the system with trillions upon trillions of new dollars, and now we have a real-life nightmare on our hands. The value of the U.S. dollar has tanked, the price of silver is up more than 100 percent in 2025, and we are in the midst of a horrifying cost-of-living crisis that never seems to end. Can We Know With Certainty That The Rapture Will Occur Before The Seven-Year Tribulation?
The Rapture agnostics tell us we cannot determine whether or not we will go through all of the Tribulation or perhaps a part of it. This is not true. The Bible provides us with a clear path leading to the certainty that Jesus is coming to take us home before the start of the Tribulation period, or what the Old Testament describes as the Day of the Lord. The absence of nary a hint that we must prepare for this time adds confirmation to this trek through Scripture.

Why Is Europe Feverishly Preparing For World War III? | End Of The American Dream

Ukraine was supposed to be the final piece of the puzzle for the European Union.

It is an enormous chunk of territory, and it is absolutely teeming with natural resources.

For most European leaders, it is unthinkable that Ukraine could be allowed to fall back into Russian hands, but at the moment more Ukrainian territory is being taken by the Russians with each passing day.

In fact, it is being reported that the city of Seversk has just fallen…

Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, said that the “Southern” group of troops had taken control of the city of Seversk in the DPR.

“The city of Seversk has been liberated,” Gerasimov said during a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Every time the Russians move forward, European leaders feel even more pressure to send troops into Ukraine.

Apparently the British already have at least some soldiers in Ukraine, because one of them just died

The British soldier who died in Ukraine on Tuesday has been named as L/Cpl George Hooley, 28, of the Parachute regiment.

Keir Starmer told the Commons on Wednesday that Hooley had died in a “tragic accident” away from the frontlines while watching a test of “a new defensive capability” with members of the Ukrainian military.

“His life was full of courage and determination,” Starmer said. “He served our country with honour and distinction around the world in the cause of freedom and democracy, including as part of the small number of British personnel in Ukraine.”

Did you notice that Starmer was purposely vague about how many British troops are in Ukraine?

Is it 100?

Is it 1,000?

Is it 10,000?

We would like to know.

Meanwhile, we are being told that plans are in the works to significantly expand the size of the French army…

France will this week become the latest EU country to set out plans to expand its army, with Emmanuel Macron expected to announce on Thursday that military service will be restored – albeit on a voluntary basis – nearly 30 years after the end of conscription.

In the face of Russia’s military threat and uncertainty over the US’s commitment to defending its transatlantic allies, Europe is rushing to bolster its defence industry and its deployment capability after radically cutting them back since the cold war.

Why would the French need a much larger army if a peace deal is going to be negotiated with the Russians?

And why have French hospitals been instructed to prepare for tens of thousands of casualties?…

French hospitals have been told to prepare a potential armed conflict in Europe by next year, local media reported.

In a letter sent to regional health agencies, revealed by Le Canard Enchaîné , the Ministry of Health asked hospitals to prepare for a “major (military) engagement” by March 2026.

The newspaper warned that between 10,000 and 50,000 men could be expected in hospitals over a period of 10 to 180 days.

Something doesn’t add up.

We are being told one thing, but plans are being made for something else to happen instead.

Other European nations are also making plans for large scale military conflict

Denmark’s conscription system was extended to women and lengthened to 11 months from four in June. Estonia has universal male conscription, while Latvia and Lithuania, like Denmark, select conscripts by lottery if there are not enough volunteers.

Elsewhere, Croatia, which abolished mandatory military service 17 years ago, recently restored conscription, while Poland is working on a plan to prepare large-scale military training for every adult male in an effort to double the size of its army.

Is it just a coincidence that all of these countries are suddenly makes these moves in unison?

In Germany, military spending is about to go soaring into uncharted territory

At a moment the Russia-Ukraine war grinds on, and as Trump-led efforts to find peace have been frustrated – largely as Zelensky and his backers have balked at agreeing to any territorial compromise as the bases of a deal – Germany is busy transforming its military with an aim to boost Bundeswehr numbers and meet NATO targets.

That news dominated headlines last week, but added to this Bloombergis newly reporting Tuesday that the troop expansion will coincide with a major tech and armament expansion, given lawmakers are expected to approve a record €52 billion (about $61 billion) in military procurement contracts next week.

This will mark the largest single-year investment in defense equipment in the country’s history, underscoring Berlin’s renewed push to modernize its armed forces amid the growing European standoff with Russia.

As for 2025 numbers, prior approvals brought total defense commitments for this year to above €33 billion. So next year’s could more than double, based on the new projected figures.

If there is going to be peace with Russia, this level of military spending makes no sense at all.

But if there is going to be war with Russia, this level of military spending is easily explained.

On Thursday, NATO Chief Mark Rutte ominously warned that “we must be prepared for the scale of war our grandparents and great grandparents endured”…

NATO Chief Mark Rutte urged member countries to do more to prepare for the possibility of large-scale war, warning that Russia may be ready to attack the alliance within five years.

“We are Russia’s next target. And we are already in harm’s way,” Rutte said on Thursday during a speech in Berlin. “Russia has brought war back to Europe, and we must be prepared for the scale of war our grandparents and great grandparents endured.”

Although he welcomed the decision by NATO members to increase overall military spending to 5 percent of gross domestic product annually by 2035, Rutte argued more needed to be done, saying alliance members must shift to a “wartime mindset.”

What wars did our grandparents and our great-grandparents endure?

Obviously he was referring to World War I and World War II.

In other words, he was telling us that we need to get ready for World War III.

But the Russians have told us over and over again that they have no intention of going to war with Europe.  In fact, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov used those exact words earlier this week.  But he did warn that there are a couple of red lines that will force the Russians to respond if they are crossed…

“As the President [Putin] emphasised, we have no intention of going to war with Europe,” said Lavrov.

“We have no such intention.

“But we will respond to any hostile steps, including the deployment of European military contingents in Ukraine and the expropriation of Russian assets.”

Sending large numbers of European troops into Ukraine would be a really foolish thing to do, because the Russians would begin shooting at them.

And once that starts happening, we will be perilously close to nuclear conflict.

This is something that they talk about on Russian television all the time.  Commenting on the confirmed death of a British soldier in Ukraine, one of the most prominent voices on Russian television boldly declared that “a nuclear strike on Britain is inevitable”

Leading Kremlin propagandist hawk, Vladimir Solovyov, told viewers on his nightly show: “Now a nuclear strike on Britain is inevitable….” Historian Andrey Sidorov, another Putin cheerleader, said: “This incident should be considered a casus belli, when the British Ministry of Defence officially acknowledged the death of its military personnel on active duty on Ukrainian territory.” He demanded the Russian foreign ministry summon British ambassador Nigel Casey or a chargé d’affaires “to explain what an active-duty military officer was doing there”.

That is crazy talk.

But this is how they actually see the world.

We should be trying to avoid a worst case scenario while we still can.

The expropriation of Russian assets is another red line for the Russians, and it appears that the Europeans are determined to cross it as well…

Currently EU member states are rapidly advancing a plan to permanently freeze as much as €210 billion ($244.38 billion) in Russian state assets to finance Ukraine for at least the next two years. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is seeking to use a loophole to rush this through, based on invoking emergency powers to sanction the frozen assets on a permanent basis, instead of holding the funds based on current six-month renewals, which requires unanimous agreement from all member states.

The plan would see €90 billion (roughly $104.71 billion) released over the next two years. Von der Leyen’s scheme would allow for the plan to pass merely with a qualified majority, and so couldn’t be derailed by just a lone veto. Nations like Germany and Spain have already signaled their support.

This is a really bad idea.

But the Europeans are apparently going to do it anyway.

Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to provoke the Russians by messing with their closest ally in South America.

Yesterday, I posted an article about the oil tanker that the U.S. just seized as it was approaching Venezuela.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov wanted an explanation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday demanded that the Trump administration explain why a Venezuelan oil tanker was seized by U.S. forces.

“I really hope that the United States, although they consider themselves entitled to conduct such operations, will somehow explain, out of respect for other members of the world community, what facts led them to take such actions,” he said during an ambassadors’ roundtable on the Ukrainian crisis resolution.

And Russian President Vladimir Putin made it a point to publicly demonstrate his support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro…

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by phone on Thursday to reassure him of Moscow’s support for his government, shortly after the United States seized a large oil tanker off Venezuela’s coast.

Maduro has been under increasing pressure from President Donald Trump’s administration to leave office, with the U.S. conducting increasingly large military build-up in the Caribbean. Tensions escalated on Wednesday when the U.S. seized the tanker, sparking furious outcry from Venezuela.

The Kremlin said that Putin and Maduro had discussed a strategic partnership agreement and working together on several joint projects related to the economy and energy sector.

A regime change operation in Venezuela would do severe damage to our relationship with the Russians.

But officials in Washington don’t seem to care.

In fact, the White House has announced that the U.S. may soon seize even more oil tankers

President Donald Trump is willing to seize more oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela, a White House official told CNBC on Thursday.

The U.S. seized a tanker on Wednesday that had allegedly transported oil from Venezuela to Iran. The action comes as Trump escalates pressure on President Nicolás Maduro.

I feel like I am watching a slow-motion train wreck that I am unable to stop.

I have been writing about these wars for so long, and now they are unfolding right in front of our eyes.

Personally, I have no idea why so many prominent voices out there are cheering for war.

War is not a game.

And that is especially true when nuclear weapons are involved.

The fate of billions of people is hanging in the balance, and we must step back from the brink before it is too late.

REALITY CHECK: Trump Says Zelensky Must Accept Peace Plan Because ‘Ukraine Is Losing’ the War (VIDEOS) | The Gateway Pundit

Trump is tired of carrying Zelensky’s dead weight.

Zelensky must face the facts.

US President Donald J. Trump spoke at length about his view of the Russia-Ukraine peace process.

While many of the ideas expressed by Trump were already circulating, the US leader was very blunt in his assessments of the war and of the Ukraine leadership.

The main point expressed in this interview for Politico is that Trump has told Ukraine to accept his peace proposal because Russia is winning the war.

The Telegraph reported:

“The US president suggested his approach to settling the war was in contrast to that of the Europeans, who he claimed would let Kiev fight ‘until they drop’.”

Trump slammed European leaders for failing to ‘adequately support Ukraine’.

“His scathing criticism of Europe emerged after Sir Keir Starmer hosted Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky, France’s Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Friedrich Merz on Monday for crisis talks on how to end the war.”

While saying that he likes the current European leaders, Trump said they ‘talk but they don’t produce’: ‘Well, they can’t be doing too right because look what’s happened’.

Trump: Western Europe No Longer Viable Ally If Civilization-Erasing Mass Migration Continues | The Gateway Pundit

Donald Trump speaking during a formal event in the Oval Office, with officials standing in the background and documents on the desk.

Europe’s embattled, deeply unpopular globalist leaders are feeling rattled this week after President Donald Trump delivered one of his sharpest assessments yet of the continent’s political decline.

During a wide-ranging interview with the regime-aligned outlet Politico, he argued that Europe is increasingly less a pillar of Western civilization and more a continent drifting into weakness and irrelevance through its own choices.

Trump said Europe’s leaders have become paralyzed by political correctness, unable to defend their borders or take responsibility for the catastrophic crises their policies have created.

According to the president, the ceaseless waves of illegal, unvetted migrants—most of whom are military-aged men from cultures alien to the West—arriving on the continent are the direct result of so-called ‘leaders’ who “won’t send anyone back” and who fear being called bigoted.

Trump warned that the collapse is not theoretical but measurable in real time: rising crime, societies deeply socially fractured, and economies and welfare systems under immense pressure by uncontrolled mass migration. He blamed European globalist elites for caring more about virtue-signaling than national survival.

On Ukraine, Trump noted that the same out-of-touch, globalist political class that lectures him about democracy cannot even persuade Kyiv to hold elections. He openly questioned how a country like Ukraine, led by a despotic leader like Zelensky, can claim democratic legitimacy while indefinitely postponing a presidential vote.

Trump argued that Ukrainian officials are “using the war” to avoid accountability, something Europe refuses to confront. He added that the conflict predated his presidency by years, despite attempts by EU leaders to pin the entire situation on Washington.

Additionally, the president criticized Europe’s role in peace talks, saying EU officials “talk too much” while offering no realistic plan to end the war. He emphasized that if Europe wants endless war, “they’re free to keep funding it,” but the United States will not be foolishly dragged along.

He said Vladimir Putin benefits from a divided and indecisive Europe, a truth the continent’s entrenched political class refuses to admit. In Trump’s view, Moscow is exploiting a vacuum left by leaders too timid to defend their own interests.

Despite what may appear to some as harsh words, Trump said he maintains cordial and even friendly relations with many European heads of state. He clarified, however, that he can distinguish between “strong leaders” and those who are simply keeping the seat warm.

He noted that some European governments remain committed to border security, specifically praising Hungary and Poland. These nations, he said, still understand that sovereignty means controlling who enters the country.
By contrast, he accused Germany, Sweden, and other Western states of surrendering to mass migration and losing the cultural cohesion and high-trust societies that once made them strong. He warned that if these trends continue, some countries “will not be viable much longer.”

Trump argued that Europe’s predicament is a cautionary tale for Americans eager to avoid the same fate. He said the United States must reject the globalist ideology that hollowed out Europe before it corrodes America in the same way.

The president’s critique aligns with the themes in his new National Security Strategy, which casts off decades of polite diplomatic language. The document frames America’s role not as Europe’s caretaker but as a nation reclaiming its own interests.

Trump said Washington will no longer be guilt-tripped into subsidizing policies that Europe won’t enforce or defend on its own soil. He added, likely to the great dismay of Euroglobalists, that the old transatlantic model is “a relic,” no longer suited to the world as it exists today.

In the emerging world order, Trump argued, nations must be strong enough to secure their borders, choose their interests, and defend their civilization without apology. Europe, he said, must rediscover that principle—or watch itself fade.

The U.S. Could Potentially End Up Fighting Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Russia And China All At The Same Time | End Of The American Dream

We have reached one of the most critical turning points in modern history, but most people don’t seem to understand this. Without a doubt, 2025 has been a year of war. There has been war in Ukraine, war in Iran, war in Gaza, and lots of other regional conflicts as well. But as I have been warning my readers, 2026 could potentially be far worse. Decisions that world leaders make during the months ahead will determine which way things go. Let us hope that they make their choices wisely.

According to CNN, White House officials are coming up with plans for how to stabilize Venezuela once Nicolas Maduro is removed from power…

Months into a pressure campaign that has seen the US military move thousands of troops and a carrier strike group into the Caribbean and President Donald Trump issue repeated threats against Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, the Trump administration is working on day-after plans in the event Maduro is ousted from power, according to two senior administration officials and another source familiar with the discussions.

The plans are being quietly drafted and closely held at the White House, the sources said.

They include multiple options for what US action could look like to fill the power vacuum and stabilize the country if Maduro voluntarily leaves as part of a negotiated departure or is forced into leaving after US strikes on targets inside Venezuela or other direct action, the sources said.

The only reason such plans would be necessary is if the White House really does intend to remove Maduro from power.

When he was asked about Maduro’s future by Politico, President Trump openly admitted that his “days are numbered”

President Trump warned in a new interview that Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro’s “days are numbered” and refused to rule out sending US ground troops to depose the left-wing leader.

The president stressed in the sitdown with Politico released Tuesday that Maduro could not be allowed to stay in power as the administration cracks down on South American drug trafficking, but declined to tip his hand about what the US could or would do to cause regime change.

When reporter and “The Conversation” podcast host Dasha Burns asked how far Trump was willing to go to oust Maduro, the president merely responded, “I don’t want to say that.”

For weeks, there has been a lot of speculation that an operation to remove Maduro could begin soon.

Speculation about such an operation ramped up even more when we learned that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was scheduled to give a private briefing to leaders of both houses of Congress on Tuesday…

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other key national security officials are scheduled to brief Congressional leaders Tuesday on the administration’s actions in Venezuela.

The briefing is expected to be given to the so-called “Gang of 8,” which includes the top leaders of each party in each chamber, as well as the Senate and House Intelligence Committee’s chairman and ranking minority member.

Could this be an indication that military action against Venezuela is imminent?

I don’t know.

But if the U.S. does attack Venezuela, the Chinese are going to be absolutely furious with us.

The Chinese import a tremendous amount of oil from Venezuela, and the Venezuelans have borrowed tens of billions of dollars from them.

The Russians have very close ties with Venezuela as well, and most Americans don’t even realize that the USS Stockdale recently intercepted a Russian tanker as it approached the Venezuelan coastline

The interception of a sanctioned Russian tanker by the USS Stockdale near Venezuela has turned a slow-burning sanctions story into a visible test of sea power, energy leverage, and political resolve in the Caribbean. As Washington tightens the screws on fuel shipments that have been worth roughly 3 billion dollars to Nicolás Maduro’s government, the encounter signals that the era of quiet workarounds is giving way to open contests on the water.

The USS Stockdale literally got directly in front of the Russian tanker, and the tanker eventually decided to conduct a U-turn rather than risk a direct confrontation…

The Russian tanker at the heart of this episode was not an ordinary commercial ship, it was part of a sprawling sanctions-busting network that Moscow has built to keep its oil flowing despite Western restrictions. When the vessel, identified as the Seahorse, was forced into a U-turn in the Caribbean after encountering a U.S. destroyer, the maneuver exposed how vulnerable this so-called shadow fleet becomes when confronted by a determined naval presence. The Seahorse’s retreat was not just a navigational adjustment, it was a public demonstration that even heavily sanctioned operators will back down when the risk of escalation at sea becomes too high.

Overthrowing the Venezuelan government will cause our relations with both Russia and China to seriously deteriorate.

Is that really a wise move?

In addition to threatening Venezuela, President Trump is also considering conducting strikes in Mexico and Colombia

President Donald Trump has said he would consider expanding his military campaign against drugs targets in countries such as Mexico and Colombia.

Since September, Trump has authorized several strikes in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean on small Venezuelan boats accused of ferrying drugs, as well as a large buildup of U.S. naval forces in the region.

In an interview with Politico’s Dasha Burns, Trump was asked if he would consider expanding strikes against targets in other countries with high drugs trade activity, such as Mexico and Colombia.

“Sure, I would,” he said.

If we start hitting targets in Mexico and Colombia without their permission, we will be in a state of war with those two nations.

Colombia is one of the largest producers of cocaine on the entire planet, and more fentanyl comes into this country from Mexico than anywhere else.

But going to war with them would make us “the bad guys” in the eyes of most of the rest of the world.

The anger that we are already witnessing in Central America and South America should not be underestimated.  At a recent Christmas festival in Guatemala, an effigy of President Trump was set on fire by enraged protesters…

This year’s event drew international attention after a giant piñata depicting US President Donald Trump was set alight in protest against his immigration policies. The figure, designed with horns and eight legs, became the centrepiece of the ritual in Guatemala City.

Footage from Sunday shows crowds gathering to watch the torching of the Trump-themed effigy, accompanied by fireworks as part of the celebration. For many participants, the act carries symbolic meaning. With many participants viewing the burning of a small devil figure as a way to cast out misfortune and start the year renewed, a sentiment often expressed by regular piñata buyers who take part in the tradition.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is once again pledging that the Ukrainians will never willingly hand over any territory to the Russians…

Ukraine will not surrender territory, President Volodymyr Zelensky declared Monday, rejecting a central Russian demand that President Donald Trump had incorporated into his latest proposal to end the Kremlin’s war.

“Under our laws, under international law — and under moral law — we have no right to give anything away,” Zelensky said, after meeting with top European leaders to discuss Trump’s plan Monday. “That is what we are fighting for.”

We are being told that this kills any chance for a peace deal.

But of course there never was going to be a peace deal.

The Ukrainians never intended to give the Russians what they want, and so the Russians are just going to continue to take it

Russian forces took control of the villages of Kucherivka in Ukraine’s northern Kharkiv region and Rivne in the eastern Donetsk region, the Defence Ministry said on Sunday.

Moscow carried out group strikes on Ukrainian transport infrastructure, fuel and energy facilities, military airfields and long-range drone complexes, the ministry added.

The line of control is moving on a daily basis.

Kramatorsk is one of Ukraine’s last remaining strongholds in the Donetsk region, and the Russians are steadily drawing closer

In one of the last remaining cities under Ukrainian control in the country’s eastern Donetsk region, once a powerhouse of industry, life gets more difficult — and dangerous — as Russian forces inch closer.

Over the last month, local officials in Kramatorsk have reported dozens of Russian attacks on the city using strike drones, ballistic missiles, rockets and aerial bombs. Homes, gas stations and markets have all been hit, as has a nearby power plant, causing blackouts.

“There was a recent strike on the house next to mine,” said Olena Frolova, 20, who works in a shop that sells Donetsk-branded clothing in Kramatorsk. “We all feel that the front is getting closer. Your life depends on how our guys at the front hold on.”

With each passing day, the pressure on our European allies to intervene in Ukraine grows even stronger.

To most EU leaders, allowing the Russians to win this war would be completely and utterly unacceptable.

But the Ukrainians have no chance of defeating the Russians by themselves.

At some point EU leaders may give in to temptation and start sending large numbers of troops into Ukraine, and that will put us right on the brink of nuclear war.

Interestingly, the UK Ministry of Defence just announced that a member of the UK Armed Forces has died in Ukraine

Once our European allies are directly fighting the Russians, it will just be a matter of time before we are directly fighting them too.

In the Pacific, the war of words between Japan and China is rapidly approaching a boiling point

Beijing escalated its war of words with Tokyo after Japan said Chinese fighter jets aimed a fire-control radar at Japanese F-15s flying near Okinawa, an action Tokyo called “dangerous” and “extremely regrettable.”

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his German counterpart Johann Wadephul in Beijing that “Japan is threatening China militarily,” a stance he called “completely unacceptable,” after the radar incident, Reuters reported.

Wang accused Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of “trying to exploit the Taiwan question — the very territory Japan colonized for half a century, committing countless crimes against the Chinese people — to provoke trouble and threaten China militarily. This is completely unacceptable,” Wang said, according to China’s official Xinhua News Agency. He added that Japan, as a World War II “defeated nation,” should act with greater caution.

If the Japanese and the Chinese actually start shooting at one another, there is no way that we could stay out of it.

Today, we have approximately 120 military installations in Japan.

We are Japan’s protector, and the Chinese know that.

I have been warning about a coming war with China for a very long time.

But we could soon be facing a scenario in which we aren’t just facing one opponent.

If the wrong decisions are made, we could potentially find ourselves fighting Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Russia and China simultaneously.

Needless to say, we should be trying to avoid such a scenario any way that we can.
