Musk Goes Nuclear: Demands EU Be DISMANTLED After Brussels Hits X With $140 Million Censorship Fine in Escalating War on Free Speech | The Gateway Pundit

European Union bureaucrats detonated another explosive attack on free speech Friday after slapping Elon Musk’s X platform with a staggering €120 million ($140 million) fine under the bloc’s Orwellian Digital Services Act (DSA), a move Musk says proves the EU has become an unaccountable censorship machine that must be abolished.

The Orwellian European Commission initiated formal proceedings against Elon Musk’s social media platform in December 2023 for allegedly failing to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA). Branded as a fight against online malpractices, this action is more like an affront to the platform’s resistance to censorship.

EU globalist politicians and elites are opposed to unrestricted free speech as it limits their ability to control the public.

At the World Economic Forum summit earlier in 2023, a European Union commissioner warned Elon Musk of potential sanctions if he does not cave on censorship.

The allegations from the unelected bureaucrat against Platform X cover several areas, including the management of illegal content, content moderation, the effectiveness of its ‘Community Notes’ system, transparency in advertising, and user interface design. However, these charges, at their core, appear to be an overreach, possibly impinging on the rights of platforms to self-regulate and uphold free speech.

The Commission’s decision stems from a preliminary investigation, which includes an analysis of the risk assessment report submitted by Platform X in September, its Transparency report from November 3, 2023, and responses to a formal request for information.

In August 2024, the European Union sent a letter to Elon Musk demanding that the X owner censor President Donald Trump during his planned interview with the GOP leader.

The letter was sent by Thierry Breton and was dated August 12, 2024.

Thierry Breton is a French business executive, politician, writer and the current Commissioner for Internal Market of the European Union.

In the letter, Thierry warns Elon Musk, “You have the legal obligation to ensure X’s compliance with EU law and in particular the DSA in the EU.”

Breton then went on to threaten Elon Musk if President Trump if he allowed President Trump to speak freely during their interview.

The EU then threatened to shut down X if Elon Musk would not censor opposing voices on his social media platform.

On Friday, the globalist technocratic authoritarians in Brussels hit Elon Musk’s X with a €120 million ($140 million) fine, the first blood drawn under their Digital Services Act.

EU paper-pushers whined that X’s paid blue-check system “confuses” users about who’s verified. In other words, they’re furious that anyone who can pay $8 can now get the same badge the old regime used to hand out only to approved regime journalists.

EU globalists complain that X won’t open its data firehose wide enough for their taxpayer-funded, regime-aligned ‘researchers.’ Everyone knows these “experts” are just left-liberal activists looking for new excuses to de-platform patriots, populists, nationalists, conservatives, and really anyone who has the nerve to go against the regime.

This fine is only round one of a two-year persecution campaign. More show trials are coming over “illegal content” and “manipulation”—code words the EU uses whenever conservatives trend.

On Saturday, Musk fired back immediately and unapologetically.

“The EU should be abolished and sovereignty returned to individual countries, so that governments can better represent their people,” Musk wrote on X.

BRUTAL: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent TORCHES New York Times at Their OWN Summit — Calls the Paper a “Fever Swamp” and Slams Their Cover-Up of Biden’s Decline | The Gateway Pundit

Discussion at the New York Times DealBook Summit featuring two speakers engaging in dialogue on stage.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confronts New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin on stage at the New York Times DealBook Summit

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent marched straight into hostile territory Wednesday, the New York Times’ own DealBook Summit and proceeded to demolish the nation’s most infamous propaganda outlet to its face.

Bessent, who has quickly emerged as one of the most forceful communicators in President Trump’s economic team, unloaded on the New York Times for what he called its “fever swamp” reporting, its phony narratives about President Trump’s leadership, and its years-long cover-up of Joe Biden’s rapid decline and incapacity.

During an exchange with DealBook host Andrew Ross Sorkin, Bessent unloaded on the Times’ increasingly hysterical anti-Trump narratives.

Sorkin attempted to set up a question about whether the country had entered a “new normal.” Bessent didn’t hesitate and didn’t hold back.

The Treasury Secretary then mocked the Times for attempting to portray Trump as mentally declining — a laughable projection given Joe Biden’s visible deterioration.

Bessent cited a recent NYT hit piece claiming Trump was “slowing down” and that aides were worried about his “capacity.”

Bessent turned directly to the New York Times’ deliberate suppression of Biden’s obvious decline — a scandal the mainstream press pretended did not exist right up until Democrats were forced to remove Biden from the race and hide him from cameras.

Andrew Ross Sorkin:
That’s the question. Is this a new normal?

Scott Bessent:
Andrew, there’s no new normal. I can tell you that I actually don’t read The New York Times anymore. Sometimes I do watch CNBC, but occasionally people send me articles, and there’s just this fever swamp. You’re now a pop historian with 1929. In 20, 30, 40, 50 years, The New York Times is no longer going to be the paper of record.

I read this article: “President Trump is slowing down President Trump’s mental capacity.” It is 100 percent fake. He only called me twice at 2:00 in the morning last week instead of three times.

That whole narrative — you had what was one of the greatest scandals of all time, which was the coverage of the Biden administration, Joe Biden’s diminished capacity, and the cover-up. That’s why it’s probably fair to raise these questions.

Where was The New York Times? We just had a three-hour Cabinet meeting yesterday, Andrew. For 10 months, the Biden administration did not have a Cabinet meeting. How are you going to invoke the 25th Amendment if the Cabinet secretaries never see the President — which they didn’t?

I hear from people in the Treasury Building that I see President Trump more in a day than my predecessor saw Joe Biden in half a year.

WATCH:

While torching the Times, Bessent also made clear that he has fully aligned with Trump’s economic vision.

He explained that U.S. trading partners are finally opening their markets because Trump uses tariffs as leverage — and they work.

“I’ve had an open mind, and I’ve evolved on this, and the president has been right,” Bessent said.

He directly contradicted the far-left claim that tariffs drive inflation, noting that inflation is lower in red states — despite dishonest talking points from blue-state media.

The New York Times invited Scott Bessent expecting talking points. Instead, they received a live-on-stage reckoning. He called out their fake reporting.

FBI Confirms Terrorist Attack By Stating ‘This Is Not A Terrorist Attack’ | Babylon Bee

NEW ORLEANS, LA — The FBI announced today that the horrific scene in New Orleans was not a terrorist attack, thereby confirming to the nation that it was, in fact, a terrorist attack.

The Bureau further stated that the perpetrator had no ties to Islam, letting the nation know that he was an Islamic terrorist.

“Judging from the ISIS flag on the truck driven by a man named Shamsud-Din Jabbar to commit mass murder, we see no sign that this attack was terrorism,” explained FBI spokesman Dean Richmond. “The bombs and assault weapons inside the vehicle, as well as the lengthy manifesto confirming Jabbar’s desire to kill as many civilians as possible, further point to this having no relation to terrorism. Rest assured, the FBI will leave no stone unturned as we strive to solve this mystery.”

At publishing time, the FBI had confirmed that the perpetrator was not at the Capitol on January 6th, and therefore could not be a terrorist.

“Show No Mercy”: Trump’s Campaign Pledge To Annihilate Mexican Cartels Goes Viral | ZeroHedge

Now, as Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House, Mexican cartels, Chinese chemical companies, money laundering networks across North America, and US-based drug dealers are on notice that the boom times under the Biden-Harris regime’s open southern border policies will soon be coming to an end.

If Trump follows through with his 2023 campaign promise to “wage war” against Mexican drug cartels, then Americans could expect an end to the horrific 100,000 US drug death overdose crisis per year caused by fentanyl and other drugs – much of which starts as precursor chemicals shipped from China, cooked into fentanyl by Mexican cartels, then flooded in the Lower 48.

Here’s Trump’s action plan to destroy the cartels:

  • Restore all Trump border policies and fully secure border
  • Deploy all necessary military assets, including the U.S. Navy, to impose a full naval embargo on the cartels, to ensure they cannot use our region’s waters to traffic illicit drugs to the U.S.
  • Order the Department of Defense to make appropriate use of special forces, cyber warfare, and other covert and overt actions to inflict maximum damage on cartel leadership, infrastructure, and operations
  • Designate the major drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations
  • Cut off the cartels’ access to the global financial system
  • Get full cooperation of neighboring governments to dismantle the cartels, or else fully expose the bribes and corruption that protect these criminal networks
  • Ask Congress to ensure drug smugglers and traffickers can receive the Death Penalty

Trump’s team released this video in December 2023 titled “President Donald J. Trump Declares War on Cartels.”

Now the question arises: Does the Trump-Vance team still hold these strong cartel-busting views after announcing them nearly a year ago?

Absolutely…

Here’s JD Vance on the campaign trail in late October: “On behalf of every American who has lost a loved one due to this border crisis, we’re going to kick some cartel ass when President Donald J. Trump takes office.”

Not too long ago, Trump announced financial armageddon for Mexican cartels: “I’m announcing that for the first time under my administration, we are seizing the assets of the criminal gangs and drug cartels and we will use those assets to create a compensation fund to provide restitution for the victims of migrant crime.”

At the Republican National Convention, Tom Homan, who served as the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement between 2017 and 2018, told Mexican cartels: “You’re done.”

Americans are desperately hoping for closed borders and a resolution to this drug death chaos and illegal alien invasion. Trump’s historic election sweep shows just that. Now get to work, Mr. President.

In our view, the Trump team next year could start by disrupting the financial networks – or command and control centers – of cartels. Trump already mentioned seizing assets, but what’s rarely mentioned is the possibility of sanctioning Mexican banks.
