EXCLUSIVE: European Researcher Bernadette Conrads Uncovers the Shadowy Reach of USAID Across Europe — Deep State Dollars, Election Meddling, and Censorship Campaigns Exposed | The Gateway Pundit

Jim Hoft with Bernadette Conrads, Head of Communications for MEP Petr Bystron of Germany’s populist Alternative für Deutschland (AfD)

In an explosive sit-down interview with The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft back in March, European researcher Bernadette Conrads delivered a chilling exposé on the sprawling influence of USAID and its deep state-funded allies operating across the European continent.

Conrads, who currently serves as Head of Communications for MEP Petr Bystron of Germany’s populist Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), has spent the last five years tracing a tangled web of taxpayer-funded NGOs, censorship initiatives, and foreign election interference stretching from Washington, D.C. to Brussels.

While USAID may present itself as a harmless humanitarian initiative, Conrads warns it’s anything but.

“Foreign aid? No. It’s not about aid—it’s about control,” said Conrads. “It’s about censorship, regime change, and election interference.”

Her findings confirm what conservatives in America have long suspected: USAID and its sister organizations, like the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), according to Conrads, are merely fronts for the CIA and other unelected power centers in the U.S. government.

These groups allegedly launder influence through NGO cover operations, rig foreign elections, silence dissenting media, and export the very same “deep state” corruption President Donald Trump has vowed to dismantle.

Conrads: “I think I’ve been interested in this topic for about five years—not specifically in USAID. I’m not an expert on USAID, but on these kinds of structures. There are many money pots like USAID. There’s also the National Endowment for Democracy. There are plenty of these organizations—organizations that work with the CIA and are deep state entities active around the world.

They create regime changes, control our media, and use so-called NGOs as covers for their operations. They call them NGOs—Non-Governmental Organizations—although they are funded by U.S. taxpayers. That’s a very crazy thing.

I’ve followed these structures over the past few years many times because I was constantly confronted with them. I faced media censorship—not directly by our governments, who also attempt such control—but very strongly by organizations like these, which are funded by USAID.”

Back in January, President Trump froze all foreign aid spending on Day 4 of his second term. Less than two weeks later, Elon Musk—appointed by Trump to lead the newly empowered DOGE group—completely shut down USAID. Musk called it “an organization beyond repair.”

In response, a rogue leftist judge in D.C. ordered Trump to reinstate $2 billion in aid payments—an absurd ruling that has ignited a new constitutional crisis over who really runs the country: the elected president or a network of unelected bureaucrats and activist judges.

“This isn’t about charity,” Hoft said during the interview. “This is about global control. About silencing voices like Gateway Pundit—using American dollars and foreign fronts to do it.”

Conrads and I both shared personal examples of USAID-linked organizations like NewsGuardOCCRP, and the Center for Countering Digital Hate, which have taken direct aim at independent conservative media on both sides of the Atlantic—including The Gateway Pundit itself.

Jim Hoft:
Absolutely. We’re seeing that. In fact, Gateway Pundit was a victim of this. USAID gave money to this organization in the United Kingdom—it was the Center for Countering Digital Hate. And this group then went to Google and said, “You need to shut down the ads on Gateway Pundit.”

So this is a British censorship group that worked to get our ads in the United States taken off of our site—and they were using U.S. taxpayer dollars from USAID to do that. They were successful, and we found out about it not because we read about it, but because the founder of the Center for Countering Digital Hate went in front of the Parliament there and bragged that he had removed ads from Gateway Pundit.

He mentions us by name in front of the British Parliament. And that doesn’t happen every day—when you hear a U.S. website getting attacked by someone in the UK. After some research and as more information came to light, we found out that it’s USAID that was funding his organization.

They were doing this—I think—across Europe. They were shutting down voices. I don’t know if they still are or not, but it’s shocking that that’s where that money was going.

Bernadette Conrads:
Absolutely, it’s true. That’s the thing. You see, we are all confronted with USAID—or were confronted with it—in the last few years. And I always tried to find out: where do these attacks come from?

I did a deep dive, and the names that showed up in the end—where my research stopped—it was always like the National Endowment for Democracy or USAID. It always ends there. You go through organization after organization, and in the end, there is USAID or the NED.

And it’s the taxpayers’ money going into all these operations.

We had a similar experience. I founded Der Status, a German-speaking Austrian alternative news project. I founded it with two colleagues from another newspaper.

We had these attacks also. It was like fact-checks exploded—these fact-checkers coming up during COVID. There were all, I think, these organizations from the U.S. who told us what was right and what was wrong. It’s just censorship.

They call it fact-checking, but it’s censorship. The information we gave—later, scientists proved it was right, what we said. But fact-checkers said, “No, that’s not true. There’s no proof. It’s not right.”

They’re always using these Orwellian strategies to call…

Bernadette Conrads:
Censorship becomes fact-checking. Dictatorship becomes democracy. Slavery becomes freedom. And so on. That’s what they always do.

It’s the same with USAID. Yeah, “foreign aid.” No. It’s not about aid—it’s about control. It’s about control and oppression.

It’s also about regime-changing strategies. It’s about election fraud, also. But I think we’re going to talk about this topic later.

Jim Hoft:
Oh yeah, absolutely. Yeah, that’s amazing.

We had the same problem in the United States, where they were fact-checking us—and we had people from overseas fact-checking our articles. People from China were fact-checking Gateway Pundit, and it was the same thing.

It’s probably the same issues that you were pointing out—that the virus was made in a lab. We had photos from inside the Wuhan lab before anyone.

And we had some great sources from inside China who were sending us things. And they would fact-check us and say, “No, that’s incorrect.”

Two or three years later, we find out: actually, that was 100% true. Fauci even admits it, and we have the emails now.

But this is what they do to shut us down. And it’s tragic that they were doing the same thing in Europe—and with U.S. dollars.

Was it just Facebook that was doing this to you? In the U.S., the social media giants got involved, and then they were censoring—conservative, mostly—independent media.

But is that where you were? Were you censored by them, or was it other groups?

In perhaps one of the most outrageous revelations, Conrads explained how Bluecoat, a U.S.-linked censorship tool used in authoritarian regimes like Iran, is now being employed inside the European Parliament itself to block conservative websites like Der Status, a German-Austrian alternative news outlet Conrads co-founded.

Bernadette Conrads:
No, absolutely not. There we come to the OCCRP Network. It’s called Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project—blah, blah, blah.

It’s like, very nice guys, and they have their partnerships—and they control most of the huge media organizations in Europe. And it’s funded by USAID, as WikiLeaks showed. WikiLeaks showed that this was funded by USAID.

This OCCRP network had their own fact-checkers, and they transported it to this legacy media—telling them which websites were trustful and which were not.

It doesn’t end there. It’s not just about trust with your readers or viewers (if you do video).

It’s also about being published on social media platforms. But also—we had the situation at the European Parliament. We were in a situation where we were censored by a technical organization called Blue Coat.

Blue Coat is a U.S. program. The European Union uses it, obviously, and it banned our website in European institutions.

Some politicians and their staff called me and told me—back then, when I was not at the European Union—that our website was banned. I investigated this case, and I was like, “Okay, how did that work out?” I knew why.

A few months before we were blocked there, we got a question via email from a company called NewsGuard.

NewsGuard is also one of those NGOs that is government-funded. It’s a U.S. company, and it’s also funded by the European Union—as MEP Virginie Joron showed before. She’s a French MEP, and she’s also interested in these cases.

They were successful. They organized that we were blocked—because they said we would spread disinformation.

I let people check afterward. I asked them to check—experimentally—if you could watch porn at the European Parliament. And yes, you could watch hardcore porn.

But you could not read Der Status there. Because that’s “too dangerous” for staff to do any research—because they said, yeah, it was disinformation we spread about COVID.

Jim Hoft:
That company, obviously, has hit a lot of media outlets in the United States—NewsGuard.

But it only targets one side of the aisle. It only targets… If you’re conservative or independent media, they’ll challenge everything you do.

It doesn’t matter what the mainstream says—they, in the United States, have produced lie after lie for about eight years. It just keeps stacking up—all their lies.

And yet, they never get a flag from NewsGuard. It’s just the smaller, independent media—and that’s their target.

And we found, too, that it was the United States Defense Department that was funding NewsGuard—that was giving some money to NewsGuard.

So, yeah—it’s just a horrible organization that was created just to censor, silence, and blacklist independent media.

Conrads also discussed the unholy alliance between U.S. intelligence, taxpayer-funded NGOs, and George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, which are deeply entangled in shaping “acceptable” narratives around the world.

“Soros is not like the rich philanthropist who does it just for fun—what he does. He works for the government, in my opinion, for the deep state government of the U.S. That’s why he does that. He’s just a regime-changing operationist, and he uses this National Endowment for Democracy money to organize these regime changes.

And what was interesting: he also organized the travel of refugees during the refugee crisis in 2015. It was his organizations that were in Africa, hiring people to go to Europe and helping them with plans. He also educates people in African prisons through his organizations.

And yes, he’s a very important factor in political science as well, as he has his own universities and his own “science”—because nearly every democracy index you find in political science is somehow funded by a Soros organization.

So, with his organizations—aligned with the interests of the U.S. deep state—he defines what is a democracy and what is not.”

She also revealed that former CIA and NSA chief Michael Hayden is now a top advisor at NewsGuard, and famously bragged, “We kill people based on metadata.” This Orwellian mindset, Conrads says, underpins the global censorship-industrial complex.

Just weeks before the 2024 European elections, the USAID-funded OCCRP network orchestrated a coordinated media smear campaign against Bystron and other AfD (Alternative für Deutschland) candidates using fabricated ties to “Russian influence.” Mainstream outlets across the EU parroted the false narrative in lockstep—only to drop it after the ballots were cast.

“It was a show. A political hit job to sway the elections—and it worked,” Conrads said.

Despite the attacks, the AfD performed well, but Conrads insists the outcome was tainted by foreign interference—this time, not from Moscow, but Washington.

In response, MEP Petr Bystron has tabled a resolution calling for a full EU investigation into USAID, NED, and the Soros network’s influence across Europe. His proposal seeks to expose:

  • All European media outlets and NGOs receiving U.S. government-linked funding
  • Instances of electoral manipulation and regime change operations
  • Censorship infrastructure built by U.S. “fact-checkers” and spyware firms
  • The exportation of American “color revolution” tactics into Europe

“It’s time to ban these fake NGOs from operating in our democracies,” Conrads declared.

Conrads closed the interview with a powerful warning—and a rallying cry.

“Trump has his experiences with this deep state, and he really wants to fight it now. I think he suffered from this deep state in his first period also. I think that’s why he’s very focused to understand what’s going on, what are the reasons for the situation to become as we had it. Now, What’s going on is a revolution, in my opinion. It’s a revolution in the US of common sense and of truth and freedom and honesty. And that’s so amazing. I hope that we are going to get this situation in Europe also. But here, it’s very dangerous now because our leaders, they freak out as they lose all these control from the US. They’re like chicken without hats or something. They don’t know what to do and they freak out and they try to pervert all the instructions they got before from organizations like the National for democracy and so on. I think that’s a very dangerous situation.”

How the USAID Became ‘a Slush Fund for the Progressives’

Recently, The Trump administration and DOGE exposed the U.S. Agency for International Development as a hotbed of wasteful spending and far-left dogma. What exactly was going on behind the scenes, and how did the agency become the progressive “slush fund” we know it as today?

From Daily CallerBefore President Donald Trump shuttered the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Biden-Harris administration used it to advance a radical leftist agenda across the globe, former USAID officials told the Daily Caller.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

Trump and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) ordered all USAID employees to work from home in early February amid a funding freeze for the agency. Musk said that Trump supported a full shutdown of the agency. …

While Musk’s DOGE found a number of seemingly inexplicable expenditures from the agency — including millions for subscriptions to leftwing media outlets and $50 million for condoms in Djibouti — Democrats pushed back hard on the proposal to shutter the agency.

The reason for their fervor is becoming clear, as former USAID officials explained in detail how Democratic administrations have increasingly used the agency to promote a radical leftist agenda worldwide.

“They were literally trying to export this agenda, to create the rest of the world in their radical image,” Max Primorac, who served as USAID’s acting chief operating officer, senior agency vetting official and regulatory reform officer in the first Trump administration, told the Daily Caller.

Primorac, who also served in the Departments of State and Defense in George W. Bush’s administration, said that the Biden administration’s focus on spreading ideas like diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and transgender ideology weakened America’s influence abroad. …

He noted that in generally liberal European countries, like France, leaders rejected the American left’s woke ideology. French President Emmanuel Macron warned his country against participating in the “woke nonsense” of policing language in a 2021 speech. …

While the agency’s unelected career bureaucrats exported their ideology using taxpayer dollars to every corner of the globe, Dr. Mark Moyar explained, they hid their actions from the political appointees whom Trump selected to carry out the will of the electorate.

Moyar, who Trump appointed to the USAID in 2018, ran the outfit’s office of civilian and military cooperation. He described the moment that he discovered, over a year into his tenure, that unelected bureaucrats were hiding where the agency’s money was going.

“The LGBTQ kind of stuff, climate change, they would conceal that by saying, ‘Well, this is really economic growth or health or something else,’” Moyar told the Caller.

USAID had been funding programs like secret schools for women in Afghanistan, $20 million for the creation of a Sesame Street facsimile in Iraq, and a $2 million grant for gender affirming care in Guatemala, according to the New York Times and NPR. …

Primorac described the agency as “a slush fund for the progressives.” …

Besides exporting woke ideology abroad, the agency also insisted upon indoctrinating its own employees, Moyar told the Caller. He described being forced to undergo a ritual he referred to as a “DEI privilege walk.”

“Basically you stand in a row, and you’re given an identity. Well, in our case, we picked them out of a hat. So I was a woman of Scandinavian descent. And then there was the male French development official, and he was the most privileged because he’s a guy, and then you had all these other categories … there’s the indigenous woman with unwanted child and a male prostitute,” Moyar recalled.

“They read things like, ‘I get treated better when I ask for government services,’ or ‘people make negative stereotypes.’ And if the thing applies you step forward or back. At the end the white guys are farthest forward. I, as the white female, was second, and then other people are behind. It’s to show your privilege,” he recalled to the Caller. …

Upon learning how deep and far-reaching the agency’s corruption was, Moyar attempted to blow the whistle. Instead, he says, he was fired. …

He recalled how someone in his office — while working as a government employee — was also serving as the chairman of the board of a company that was receiving government business.

“He was using his job to help them, which is pretty clear criminal conflict of interest,” Moyar told the Caller. …

Trump and the USAID Scandal: How Foreign Aid Became a Trojan Horse for Propaganda | The Daily Declaration

USAID

Trump’s shuttering of USAID has exposed how foreign aid has long been weaponised for sinister political ends.

In the eyes of their critics, President Donald Trump and his DOGE appointee Elon Musk are heartless tyrants, recklessly cutting foreign aid as they prioritise wealthy Americans over the world’s poorest people.

This narrative may be popular in the legacy press, but it overlooks some sinister truths about key US federal agencies as news of their fraud, waste, and abuse come to light.

At the centre of this controversy is one agency in particular: USAID.

USAID is an acronym that plays tricks on the reader’s mind. Originally pronounced U-S-A-I-D, more recently the last three letters have been voiced together, in a nod to the agency’s purported purpose: distributing US foreign aid, disaster relief and humanitarian assistance around the world.

In reality, the acronym stands for United States Agency for International Development — and according to the agency itself, the purpose of these global giveaways goes far beyond just charity and goodwill. USAID and its US$50 billion annual budget exist primarily to advance US foreign policy objectives abroad, projecting American power on the world stage.

Mike Benz: USAID is not about aid. It’s about coordinating clandestine operations through foreign left-wing NGOs. With a $50 billion budget, it even surpasses the budgets of the CIA and State Department combined. pic.twitter.com/qeAEK4tObL

Insiders refer to this as “soft power” diplomacy.

Over recent years, one such insider, Mike Benz, has been on a crusade to educate the public about the soft power function of USAID and connected agencies.

A former State Department official turned foreign policy commentator, Benz likens the revolution currently sweeping Washington DC to performing open-heart surgery on the American empire.

Benz argues that Trump’s battle with USAID has very little to do with slashing foreign aid. Instead, it’s about exposing how “humanitarian efforts” have long doubled as tools of political influence and regime change.

Most sinister of all, Benz explains, is how these tools for regime change were eventually imported back into America and weaponised against conservatives in general and Donald Trump in particular.

Indeed, the media’s outrage over Trump’s USAID cuts isn’t really about lost funding for the underprivileged — it’s a mask-off moment for Trump’s Deep State enemies, who now fear their entire operation has been dragged into the spotlight.

I even started the first Tucker interview with this exact history. Here’s the opening 10 mins, covering how free speech was a State Dept instrument of statecraft turned to censorship

The Booming Industry of Soft Power

To pick apart this complex web of ideas and events, we need to start at the beginning. What follows is a canned history of US soft power according to Mike Benz.

In the aftermath of World War II, the world’s nations signed the UN Charter in an effort to secure global peace. Among its many stipulations was that nations were now explicitly forbidden from invading and seizing territory by force. But diplomacy was still essential. How could nations like the US secure import-export markets, preserve national security and maintain high standards of living? They would now need to rely on the subtle art of soft power.

Enter the Marshall Plan — an American initiative enacted in 1948 to aid Western Europe in its post-war recovery. Thanks to the Marshall Plan, European nations saw their infrastructure repaired, their food shortages alleviated, their industries modernised and their currencies stabilised. In return, America gained a booming market for its goods, solidified the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency, and secured political influence against Soviet expansion.

Benz argues that a crucial tool in the latter effort was media influence, with agencies like the CIA, the State Department and eventually USAID playing pivotal roles. Programs like Voice of America and Radio Free Europe, funded by the CIA, were not just news broadcasters but cultural ambassadors promoting Western liberal values as an alternative to Soviet ideology. The Congress for Cultural Freedom, another CIA-backed initiative, sponsored publications, conferences, and art exhibitions to further Western democratic ideals.

Through these initiatives, the CIA came to value the strategic influence of soft power, and recognised its effectiveness in shaping global perceptions and politics without military might. Indeed, steering elections by controlling the media ecosystem was not only less bloody but also infinitely cheaper than conducting military operations — a great return on investment for US taxpayers, it could be argued. Thus, the success of these Cold War campaigns entrenched soft power as a cornerstone of US foreign policy.

However, by the 1970s, the CIA found itself embroiled in scandal, after the Church Committee exposed a series of covert illegal activities. One of these was Project MKUltra, which involved mind control experiments on unwitting subjects. Another, Operation CHAOS, aimed at spying on anti-war and civil rights activists within the U.S. The CIA was also exposed for its role in various coups and propaganda campaigns around the world, leading to calls for greater oversight and transparency of the agency.

The CIA Goes Underground

Benz argues that the US foreign policy brass responded to this heightened scrutiny by quietly relocating the CIA’s more controversial activities — like funding media and backing coups — to USAID, where the oversight was less stringent. Thus, under the guise of foreign aid, USAID took on roles in media manipulation and political destabilisation, continuing CIA tactics like “rent-a-riot” to influence foreign politics without public backlash. According to Benz, this included training foreign police in controversial methods and supporting opposition movements to sway elections, all while maintaining the image of a humanitarian organisation.

By the mid-2010s, the United States had successfully used media, diplomatic pressure, and covert funding through NGOs like USAID to spark regime change — also known as “colour revolution” — across vast tracts of Eurasia. This included Serbia’s Bulldozer Revolution (2000), Georgia’s Rose Revolution (2003), Ukraine’s Orange (2004) and Euromaidan (2014) Revolutions, and Kyrgyzstan’s Tulip Revolution (2005), as well as Iran’s Green Movement and political unrest in Belarus, Venezuela and Myanmar.

As technology developed, the internet became the new battleground for soft power. Social media and encrypted communication platforms, many developed with military funding from DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), played critical roles in uprisings like the Arab Spring, where Twitter and Facebook enabled mass mobilisation against authoritarian regimes in Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya.

Initially, US foreign policy leaders were excited at the internet’s potential for sparking political uprisings. However, following Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014, they began viewing the internet with suspicion, wary of the freedom it afforded everyday people to craft narratives outside of official channels.

To that end, in 2016, the State Department created the Global Engagement Center to counter “disinformation”, marking the start of more aggressive information control. Platforms like the “Hamilton 68” dashboard, run by the Alliance for Securing Democracy, sought to identify Russian proxies on social media — often without clear evidence. Soon, the language of “misinformation”, “disinformation” and malinformation” would be embedded in the popular mindset and find its way into legislatures across the Western world.

Colour Revolutions on American Soil

This strategy of engineering political upheaval overseas without direct military intervention — often referred to as “colour revolutions,” was now a fixed feature of US foreign policy.

But what happens when these tactics are applied on home soil?

According to Benz, the United States soon found the answer to that question.

Having perfected the art of regime change abroad, US powerbrokers adapted these tactics to suppress dissent and control narratives within their own borders. Beginning in 2016, he argues, machinery once used to reshape foreign governments was soon turned on the American public as Trump’s election and Brexit disrupted the globalist agenda.

These efforts escalated during the 2020 election. The suppression of stories like the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, Benz says, exposed a sinister alliance between government agencies and big tech. Federal agencies also sought to censor dissenting views on COVID-19, from lockdowns to masks to vaccines. The “Disinformation Dozen” narrative, pushed by the Center for Countering Digital Hate, was another example of these efforts, aimed at shutting down vaccine skeptics.

I even started the first Tucker interview with this exact history. Here’s the opening 10 mins, covering how free speech was a State Dept instrument of statecraft turned to censorship

Benz highlights the response to the January 6 Capitol riot as another instance of how government agencies and media outlets worked to control the public narrative. He suggests that perceptions of the event were tightly managed to fit a particular political agenda.

Benz argues that, by turning its machinery on Americans, the foreign policy elite are re-engineering democracy itself. No longer is it a system where public votes determine outcomes. Now it is institutions that form a consensus and impose that consensus on the populace. Unelected bureaucrats and faceless intelligence personnel decide their agenda and impose it on the public through covert hearts-and-minds campaigns.

In Benz’ analysis, what began as a push for soft power abroad has become a form of “military rule” at home — one enforced not by tanks and bullets, but by keystrokes in data centres that covertly condition American minds.

The Real Meaning of USAID Fraud

Many Americans have been shocked at the waste, fraud and abuse that uncovered at USAID as Elon Musk and his DOGE team have audited the books. With the country US$36 trillion in debt and families struggling to put food on the table, it is unthinkable that a “foreign aid” agency is squandering taxpayers’ hard-earned money, including, at last check:

  • $32,000 for an LGBT comic book in Peru
  • $47,000 on a transgender opera in Colombia
  • $70,000 for a DEI-themed musical in Ireland
  • $1.5 million to advance DEI in Serbia’s workplaces
  • $2 million for sex change surgeries in Guatemala
  • $6.3 million to study men having sex with men in South Africa
  • $7.9 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid “binary-gendered language”
  • $20 million to produce a new “Sesame Street” show in Iraq
  • $22 million for tourism promotion in Tunisia and Egypt
  • $100 million sent to terror-linked organisations
  • $520 million to pay ESG consultants in Africa

It doesn’t take a genius to see this isn’t about foreign aid — it’s about propaganda warfare and foreign political interference. Thankfully, this era of reckless spending is coming to an end as wasteful budgets are slashed and, more importantly, US foreign policy undergoes a comprehensive overhaul.

The only people complaining about USAID’s budget cuts are Democrats in Washington and rich Westerners conditioned by the propaganda press to believe that Donald Trump and Elon Musk hate the poor.

If this battle were really about cutting foreign aid, the leaders of third world nations would be in uproar. Instead, they are mostly silent. Like a growing number of Americans, they understand what’s really at stake: the highjacking of charity to shape global narratives, control political movements, and steer election outcomes.

“There is no USAID project on God’s green earth that is honest.”

— System Update (@SystemUpdate_) February 4, 2025

An old, decrepit system that weaponised foreign aid for political control is on its deathbed. While a shrinking minority demand a funeral dirge, the rest of us look to the future.

If Benz’s interpretation holds true, the reining in of these agencies could be the first step towards reclaiming liberty from the shadows of soft power and sinister manipulation.

In DOGE, the perceptive don’t see the death of foreign aid, but its rescue from the grip of duplicity — and even better, a new dawn for America.

Money Laundering | Study – Grow – Know

It’s starting to look like one huge money laundering scheme, perpetrated by the Biden Administration. Who knows, but it may go all the way back to Obama and before? Just how long American taxpayer dollars have been continually doled out on the most egregious things is anyone’s guess.

Totally aside from all the expenditures that have been uncovered by DOGE (some of which I’ll post shortly), we have also learned from EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, that apparently, the Biden Administration gave away a total of $20 billion to NGOs.

Zeldin has referred the matter to the Inspector General & Attorney General Pam Bondi.

“Shockingly, roughly 20 billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA. This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history and it was purposefully designed to obligate all of the money in a rushed job with reduced oversight. Even further. This pot of $20 billion was awarded to just eight entities that were then responsible for doling out your money to NGOs and others at their discretion, with far less transparency. Just under $7 billion was sent to one entity called the Climate United Fund.”[1]

This is patently ridiculous but when there is no oversight, no transparency and an “I couldn’t care less” attitude from the Marxists in the Biden Administration, this is what happens. It would not surprise me to learn eventually that the Biden Administration was one of the most corrupt in history, with the possible exception of the Obama Administration.

Regarding our good friends at USAID, just recently House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast revealed the following expenditures from USAID[2]:

  • $15 million for condoms to the Taliban through USAID.
  • $446,700 to promote the expansion of atheism in Nepal through the State Department.
  • $1 million to boost French-speaking LGBTQ groups in West and Central Africa through the State Department.
  • $14 million in cash vouchers for migrants at the southern border through the State Department.
  • $20,600 for a drag show in Ecuador through the State Department.
  • $47,020 for a transgender opera in Colombia through the State Department.
  • $32,000 for an LGBTQ-centered comic book in Peru through the State Department.
  • $55,750 for a climate change presentation warning about the impact of climate change in Argentina to be led by female and LGBT journalists through the State Department.
  • $3,315,446 for “being LGBTQ in the Caribbean” through USAID.
  • $7,071.58 for a BIPOC speaker series in Canada through the State Department.
  • $80,000 for an LGBTQ community center in Bratislava, Slovakia through the State Department.
  • $3.2 million to help Tunisian migrants readjust to life in Tunisia after deportation through the State Department.
  • $16,500 to foster a “united and equal queer-feminist discourse in Albanian society” through the State Department.
  • $10,000 to pressure Lithuanian corporations to promote “DEI values” through the State Department.
  • $8,000 to promote DEI among LGBTQ groups in Cyprus through the State Department.
  • $1.5 million to promote job opportunities for LGBTQ individuals in Serbia through USAID.
  • $70,884 to create a U.S.-Irish musical to promote DEI in Ireland through the State Department.
  • $39,652 to host seminars at the Edinburgh International Book Festival on gender identity and racial equality through the State Department.
  • $425,622 to help Indonesian coffee companies become more climate and gender friendly through USAID.

Isn’t that exciting? US taxpayer dollars are used by high ranking officials in the federal government to take care of the entire world, while allowing Americans in true need due to fires, hurricanes and whatnot, to remain stranded without help.

Honestly, people’s heads need to roll (metaphorically speaking!). Justice needs to be done. People need to be arrested and charged. The NGOs that benefited from all this money are not concerned about Americans or America’s interests. They are only concerned about pushing the agenda of Technocrat globalists throughout the world to remake the world into their image.

These Technocrats want to destroy the USA by bankrupting us. They want to usher in Martial Law (literally), by creating 15-minute cities, enforcing mandatory vaccinations, eliminating free speech and changing America’s Constitutional Republic into a generalized “democracy.” You’ll note the Left constantly claims people like Donald J. Trump are “destroying Democracy,” and they use this choice of words deliberately instead of referring to America as a Constitutional Republic. There is a huge difference and anyone with a modicum of intelligence understands that difference.

If you stop to consider it, Martial Law was actually initiated with the lock-downs during CV a few years back. People were actually forced to remain indoors. If they did go out, it needed to be an emergency and were also generally forced to mask up. In a neighboring town near us, there was actually a curfew by the city council. If you were out during curfew hours, you could be pulled over by law enforcement and either given a ticket or taken to jail unless you had a “permission” slip from work stating you needed to be out because you were going to/from work.

The saddest thing is people actually put up with it and turned against those who were calling it out! So in spite of the fact that it was never called “Martial Law,” that’s exactly what it was then. Churches were closed, most stores and nearly all small businesses were forced to remain closed. Big Box stores were allowed to remain open along with strip clubs and liquor stores.

The absurdity seems boundless. Again, people actually obeyed as though their lives depended on this undeclared Martial Law!

Segue several years later as we suffered through the Biden Administration (likely Obama’s third term), with things progressively worsening (though the media tells us it was all great and the problems stemmed from Trump’s first term). Now, the real dirt is coming out and it’s as filthy as it gets. Billions upon billions of American taxpayer dollars has been used to funnel into NGOs that actually ended up laundering much of it.

We also know that a lot of the military weaponry sent to Ukraine was likely resold to Mexican Cartels. That means that instruments of war are now just south of America’s southern border. Do you think those cartels will hesitate to use them if they deem it necessary? But yes, let’s continue to watch Congress try to remove/reduce Americans’ gun rights…

Zelenskyy has also stated that out of about $170 billion he has no idea where roughly $100 billion of it went. No idea. Really? Someone needs to check any offshore accounts he may have. I understand he owns a mansion in Florida. An actor/comedian turned politician, turned into an uber rich person.

I am extremely glad all of this is coming out and the fact that the Left is beside themselves with anger and incredulity is tantamount to admitting that they have been seriously involved.

It was also revealed just yesterday that today, Trump is holding a press conference today where he will reveal actual names of entities and people involved in the tremendous amount of government fraud and waste.[3] Just one example is Samantha Power, who led USAID and was connected to both the Obama and Biden Administrations, has “…been accused of funding radical left-wing groups, destabilizing governments, and pushing globalist agendas in Hispanic America. Explosive allegations claim that millions of US taxpayer dollars have been funneled into socialist NGOs, extremist activists, and projects aimed at destroying conservative values in the region.”[4][5]

Apparently, Powers, who was paid under $250,000/year somehow managed to become a multi-millionaire and that is under investigation now. DOGE uncovered it and we’ll see what happens from this point onward. It seems clear that people like Powers and many others have been using America’s coffers as their own source of enrichment. I’m sure all of this was at the behest of Technocrats, who, as Klaus Schwab has clearly stated, they have “their” people in governments throughout the world (after training at the WEF).

We can only hope that everything will come to light. It’s a weird feeling though to know that while Americans struggled to meet daily expenses, many throughout the world lived like kings and queens from the taxes that Americans dutifully paid.

The corruption runs terribly deep and while I’m very glad it’s coming out, it angers me that we the people have been so seriously played like this. Who knows where this will all end, but let’s hope and pray that people will ultimately see the inside of prison cells.

The issue is an interesting one because I cannot help but ask how all of this ties into the coming final world order? I’m sure there are folks who “have the answer,” but in reality, they don’t. As I’ve stated before, prophecy is best understood after it is fulfilled. Will Trump get things straightened up? Will people be held accountable?

We know that ultimately, regardless of what Trump accomplishes (or not), this world will continue moving toward a one-world, final government that will ultimately be ruled over by Antichrist for at least three and a half years (out of the seven total for the coming Tribulation). While it is easy for me to understand how Europe and surrounding area will become united as one, it’s a bit more difficult for me to see the United States becoming part of that union. Yet, the Bible seems to paint a picture of the entire world being the final global kingdom.

I also cannot help but wonder how the Antichrist will control the entire world. Certainly, yes, he will be completely possessed by Satan, but Satan, as powerful as he is is only one being. He still needs to depend on his evil minions, who fell with him in rebellion against God.

When you read about all the prophetic issues and events throughout Scripture, much of it is directly related to Israel and the surrounding geographical areas. Still, the Bible seems clear the entire world during the coming Tribulation will be as one, with one ruler, having taken full authority after the 10 kings of Revelation 17 take their positions (though short lived).

In the meantime, Trump, while being an imperfect human being, appears to be approaching his position as President of the United States, much like a CEO of a company in bad need of overhaul. I know that people are getting stuck on his continued push to use mRNA and AI, but I’m ignoring those. I have no intention of taking any mRNA jab at all. In fact, the less I go to doctors, the better off I believe I am. I refuse to take an mRNA jab and frankly, even if someone told me a jab is NOT mRNA, I’m not sure I’d believe them.

As far as AI goes, I’ll continue to ignore it, yet I see people around me getting thoroughly hooked on it. I’m just not interested. While there might be some good things associated with AI, the bad outweighs the good in my opinion.

As I’ve stated before, I can see Technocrat globalists doing everything they can to derail any good Trump might bring to a situation. Now that their illicit and illegal funding is being spotlighted, I don’t see them necessarily running for cover, although the “agents” or foot soldiers who carried out their agenda likely are because they have a lot to lose. Someone pointed out that apparently, searches for defense lawyers in the DC area is off the charts so clearly, if true, people are worried. But these are the people directly involved. The Technocrat globalists don’t have their fingerprints on anything (except someone like George Soros, who is more of an agent than a Technocrat himself).

I’ve said that 2025 is not going to be easy and I believe we are just now starting to see the reasons that Technocrats are going to pull out all the stops. They’re not going to stop because of all they have to lose. I’m certain they have many irons in the fire that they’ve not even resorted to using yet.

In the meantime, we can be grateful for the good that Trump is accomplishing. We are waiting for confirmations for Kash Patel (FBI) and RFK Jr. (Health) to happen, but so far, with the exception of Matt Gaetz, every one of Trump’s nominees has been greenlighted. However, I think a few of them are asinine, but maybe that’s just me.

Have a great day everyone and keep the lines of communication open between you and the Lord!

Hohmann: USAID funded Terrorist Regimes that Killed Thousands of US Soldiers | The Gateway Pundit

The US was funding the Taliban through USAID after the humiliating surrender by Joe Biden in 2021.

Guest post by Leo Hohmann – republished with permission.

USAID sent $9.3B to Islamic terror states that killed 3,000 American soldiers

The explosive disclosures about how U.S. taxpayer monies are being used to subvert governments worldwide, while propping up others, continues to shed light on the outragious fools our own government must take us for. They steal our money and use it however they wish, often in secret deals that reward obedient foreign regimes while punishing the disobedient.

Yes, the Muslim terrorists hate Christians and Jews and wish them dead or subservient, according to their religious teachings. That’s a fact. But they would not be empowered to commit jihad were it not for the almighty U.S. dollar. And some of the dead end up being U.S. soldiers. U.S. taxpayer dollars being used to fund the murders of U.S. military personnel, imagine that!

And in the process of these needless wars, millions of Muslim refugees get driven into the Western countries. Talk about a duel bang for their buck, these globalists really know how to play the American people on their way to destroying nations and bringing in their one-world beast system. They are very good at what they do, you have to hand it to them.

The latest bombshell report comes from investigative reporter Daniel Greenfield.

Greenfield, in an article for Israel National News, reports that USAID doled out more than $9 billion to foreign terrorist groups that killed over 3,000 American soldiers in recent years. Below is an excerpt from Greenfield’s article.

Over the last two years, USAID doled out $2.3 billion in “humanitarian assistance” to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s native Somalia. Last year it reported a request for $1.6 billion in aid and even in December 2024, with the Biden administration on the way out the door, it sent an additional $29 million.

USAID support for Somalia doubled under the Biden administration and with $3.3 billion from USAID allocated in the last 5 years. the threatened withdrawal of funding must have been a painful blow for Omar, who is very close to the Somali regime. Former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Khaire had stated “the interest of Ilhan are not Ilhan’s, it’s not the interest of Minnesota, nor is it the interest of the American people, the interest of Ilhan is that of the Somalian people and Somalia.”

Somalia, along with other Islamic terrorist entities, including the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Houthis in Yemen, and Hamas in Gaza, were among the top beneficiaries of USAID cash, Greenfield reports.

USAID sent $2.1 billion to Gaza and the “West Bank” since the Hamas attacks of Oct 7. In 2024 alone, $917 million was programmed for the terrorist areas occupying Israel.

USAID provided more than $3.7 billion to Afghanistan since the Taliban took over with $832 million in the previous fiscal year alone. The money was so unaccountable that USAID refused to cooperate with SIGAR: the government watchdog tracking spending in Afghanistan intent on blocking money from aiding terrorists.

Victor Davis Hanson Provides a Helpful Lesson on Government and History for Democrats Who Are Confused About Elon Musk and DOGE (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Class is in session!

Victor Davis Hanson, the conservative scholar and historian, has put together a lesson for Democrats and members of the media who are outraged and confused about what Elon Musk is doing with DOGE and how it fits into our current politics and government.

Of course, if Democrats or members of the media actually listen to what Hanson has to say, they might be angry to find out that the precedent for all of this has been set multiple times over the years, but particularly by their old pal Joe Biden.

As usual, Hanson is eloquent in his delivery.

Partial transcript via the Daily Signal on Twitter/X:

“He’s more legitimate—or he has more statutory legitimacy—than earlier presidential advisors, like Harry Hopkins, who moved into the White House under the FDR administration, or Bernard Baruch, who basically ran two world wars, in terms of domestic production, under Woodrow Wilson and FDR. So, let’s just dispel the idea that he’s doing anything unusual. …

“As far as the executive orders that created the DOGE program and eliminated USAID—that was perfectly legal in itself—USAID was created by John F. Kennedy in 1961 by an executive order. There was a statutory direction for the president to disperse foreign aid into a comprehensive body, but it didn’t say USAID—he could do whatever he wanted. …

“And so, Donald Trump has decided to end an autonomous USAID and fold it into the State Department for disaster relief or poverty relief or famine relief. …

“All Donald Trump is doing is saying, ‘I don’t believe the impoundment act is legal. We’ll see what the Supreme Court says—but I’m just following the precedent that Joe Biden did.’ But now, the shoe’s on the other foot.”

Watch the whole video below:

.@VDHanson: Sorry, Liberals. DOGE Is 100% Legal. Here’s Why.

Is the Left taking the bait? While many in the legacy media continue to berate Elon Musk for his role in defunding bloated federal programs and agencies, Donald Trump remains largely unscathed. Is this part of a larger… pic.twitter.com/Mah9CV5PET

— The Daily Signal (@DailySignal) February 10, 2025

That is a perfect explanation of what’s happening and why it is completely legal. The left would be wise to listen to Hanson on this. They look quite foolish at the moment.

Evangelicals’ Uneasy History With The Government Trough | Christian Heritage News

By Warren Cole Smith – Posted at MinistryWatch:

Published February 8, 2025

“Donald Trump has reengaged the fight Bush abandoned, to reduce the size of government, though he is going about it in strange ways. A key initiative is his attempt to eliminate USAID – the United States Agency for International Development – which funds many Christian groups, though USAID’s entire budget — $40 billion — is less than one percent of the overall size of the federal budget. Still, you have to start somewhere, and USAID has been a troubled agency for decades.”

Conservatives, Christian conservatives in particular, have always had a troubled and inconsistent relationship with the idea of government funding flowing to non-profits and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Take, for example, the current debate over the elimination of the U.S. Department of Education. Many conservatives, including Christian conservatives, are troubled by the federal government’s involvement in education, believing education should be either a private or – at a minimum – a local activity.

That said, the school choice movement, which includes a lot of Christian conservatives, has championed vouchers and tax credits. Today, around 15 states (and the District of Columbia) have government funded voucher programs. An organization called EdChoice said in 2023 that “78 bills in 27 states relating to education savings accounts, vouchers, refundable tax credits, and tax-credit scholarships” were under consideration.

An important reason Christians oppose government funding for non-profits is the fact that many non-profits are engaged in activities that Christians actively oppose, such as abortion. But even in these areas, government funding has proved stubbornly durable. Take Planned Parenthood, for example. Planned Parenthood started getting federal funds in 1970, three years before Roe v. Wade effectively legalized abortion, during the tenure of Republican President Richard Nixon. That funding stream never ended, and it has grown over the years. Donald Trump famously promised to “defund Planned Parenthood” when he was elected in 2016, but – in fact – funding for Planned Parenthood grew during his tenure.

Republican George W. Bush gave up the fight to rein in spending and limit grants to non-profits. He championed what some called “big government conservatism.” One of his first acts as president was to establish – in January 2001 — the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI). That office had a noble goal. Since federal money in the billions was going to NGOs, Christian groups should not be punished or penalized in the process. The OFBCI attempted to “level the playing field” by mandating that federal money could flow to Christian groups. There would be no “religious test.”

Many evangelicals welcomed this change. Bush’s initiatives were sometimes characterized as “charitable choice” or “compassionate conservatism.” It took a few years to get the money flowing, but between fiscal years 2003 and 2005, grants to faith-based organizations grew 21 percent, reaching $2.2 billion.

Donald Trump has reengaged the fight Bush abandoned, to reduce the size of government, though he is going about it in strange ways. A key initiative is his attempt to eliminate USAID – the United States Agency for International Development – which funds many Christian groups, though USAID’s entire budget — $40 billion — is less than one percent of the overall size of the federal budget. Still, you have to start somewhere, and USAID has been a troubled agency for decades.

USAID Funded Massive ‘News’ Platform, Extending ‘Censorship Industrial Complex’ To Billions Worldwide | ZeroHedge

Tl;dr: Elon Musk summed up the whole f**king farce succinctly:

We wonder how the American taxpayer feels about their hard-earned cash being taken away from them and used for this purpose…

*  *  *

In addition to propping up far-left corporate media outlets like Politico and the BBC with taxpayer funds, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has funneled half a billion dollars to a secretive non-governmental organization operating a global news propaganda matrix.

WikiLeaks published the bombshell report in the overnight hours that shows the massive taxpayer-funded state propaganda network – operating as a shady NGO – called “Internews Network”:

USAID has pushed nearly half a billion dollars ($472.6m) through a secretive US government financed NGO, “Internews Network” (IN), which has “worked with” 4,291 media outlets, producing in one year 4,799 hours of broadcasts reaching up to 778 million people and “training” over 9000 journalists (2023 figures). IN has also supported social media censorship initiatives.

The operation claims “offices” in over 30 countries, including main offices in US, London, Paris and regional HQs in Kiev, Bangkok and Nairobi. It is headed up by Jeanne Bourgault, who pays herself $451k a year. Bourgault worked out of the US embassy in Moscow during the early 1990s, where she was in charge of a $250m budget, and in other revolts or conflicts at critical times, before formally rotating out of six years at USAID to IN.

Bourgault’s IN bio and those of its other key people and board members have been recently scrubbed from its website but remain accessible at http://archive.org. Records show the board being co-chaired by Democrat securocrat Richard J. Kessler and Simone Otus Coxe, wife of NVIDIA billionaire Trench Coxe, both major Democratic donors. In 2023, supported by Hillary Clinton, Bourgault launched a $10m IN fund at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). The IN page showing a picture of Bourgault at the CGI has also been deleted.

IN has at least six captive subsidiaries under unrelated names including one based out of the Cayman Islands. Since 2008, when electronic records begin, more than 95% of IN’s budget has been supplied by the US government (thread follows).

Not suspicious at all!

IN’s funding has doubled since Trump’s first-term victory, as the Deep State poured billions into combating so-called misinformation and disinformation targeting conservative media worldwide—all under the guise of “saving democracy.”

IN’s complex funding graph.

The bio for IN CEO Jeanne Bourgault shows past jobs at Wired, Guardian, and other corporate media outlets.

Not surprising.

Speaking at the globalist Davos event last year, IN’s CEO argued that global advertisers should prioritize spending ad dollars on “good news.” In other words, this would pressure companies to spend exclusively on far-left corporate media outlets while ensuring they slash ad spending on alternative media websites that do not promote state propaganda.

American taxpayers funded the global censorship matrix that has lied about wars, covid origins, vaccines, and go down the list…

Wikileaks shows the moment in time when IN “lost its way”… And you’ll never guess how.

IN’s media matrix spans worldwide.

Here are the downstream holdings on IN via public records forensics data:

“Internews is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to empower local media worldwide to give people the news and information they need, the ability to connect, and the means to make their voices heard,” the NGO stated in an IRS 990 filing as its purpose of businesses.

Public records data shows IN has many business purposes worldwide, all in an effort to control a media matrix and ensure only state propaganda is told on the local level.

How does it feel to know that your tax dollars are funding a state propaganda media matrix around the world?

What is USAID and why is Trump targeting it? | Denison Forum

Demonstrators and lawmakers rally against President Donald Trump and his ally Elon Musk as they disrupt the federal government, including dismantling the U.S. Agency for International Development, which administers foreign aid approved by Congress, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

“For decades, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been unaccountable to taxpayers as it funnels massive sums of money to the ridiculous—and, in many cases, malicious—pet projects of entrenched bureaucrats, with next-to-no oversight.”

That is how President Donald Trump recently described the agency overseeing the vast majority of the government’s humanitarian efforts. Those thoughts have been echoed across numerous press conferences, television appearances, and posts on social media by both Trump and people working closely with him on this issue.

However, given that USAID disbursed somewhere in the neighborhood of $72 billion of assistance in 2023—the last year for which we have concrete numbers—some waste is unavoidable. The more pressing question is to what extent that waste represents the true mission and functionality of the agency. Unfortunately, that’s where things start to get a bit murky.

Before we get too far down that road, though, it’s worth taking a moment to better understand what USAID was founded to do so we can then discern the degree to which that purpose is both necessary and relevant today.

What is USAID?

USAID was started by President John F. Kennedy as an independent agency tasked with countering Soviet influence abroad by granting aid to the nations most likely to join the communist cause. Its independence was intended to help it circumvent the bureaucracy that plagued the State Department at that time. Congress made the agency official when it passed the Foreign Assistance Act in 1961.

USAID attempted to build security by fostering dependency through a number of truly worthy endeavors—such as its work combatting global hunger, AIDS, malaria, and a host of other problems. However, its history also includes a number of acts of which we should be less proud.

In other words, it falls right in line with most government programs in that it is plagued by corruption while still serving an important purpose.

A big part of the problem is that USAID does not directly fund or manage many of these humanitarian efforts. Instead, as Ari Weitzman describes, it “takes taxpayer dollars and gives them to an independent organization that decides what it wants to focus on, then distributes those dollars to other third-party organizations” (emphasis his).

The result is a massive budget that has proven difficult to track and even more difficult to hold accountable for how those dollars are spent. And while those funds represent less than 1 percent of the federal budget, it’s still the most of any country and nearly double what the European Union spends on humanitarian aid. As such, what the president and the rest of the government decide to do with the agency will have massive repercussions around the world.

Unfortunately, unpredictability is a hallmark of Trump’s governing strategy, so understanding what’s likely to come next is dubious at best. That said, his actions this week—and the response they’ve generated—do provide some clues.

Why it’s not enough for the good to outweigh the bad

Both President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have advocated for USAID losing its independence and becoming absorbed into the State Department. In fact, Trump has already taken steps in that direction, giving Rubio authority over the agency earlier this week.

What is less clear, though, is if he actually has the authority to do that. Many in Congress have claimed otherwise, and this is likely to end in yet another custody battle over who gets final say in USAID’s fate. Regardless of whether or not the agency remains independent, it’s difficult to see anything resembling the status quo being part of the end result.

And whatever you may think of Trump, USAID, or those involved in the investigation, it seems obvious that at least some measure of change is needed.

While some reports of waste—such as claims that USAID funded Politico and other news organizations—have been either fabricated or exaggerated, far too many questionable projects still exist:

  • $20 million for a new Sesame Street show in Iraq
  • More than $19 million to promote “inclusion” in Vietnam
  • $1.5 million to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in Serbia

These are only a few examples that have come to light, and they are far from unique.

Moreover, even the aid that was intended to help those truly in need suffered because of corruption and theft. For example, USAID spent over $12 billion in Syria to help those suffering from the civil war that raged until recently. Yet millions of dollars were stolen and diverted to armed combat groups instead of the refugees.

Similarly, in Afghanistan, USAID spent an estimated $17 billion on efforts that failed to bear much fruit, such as $335 million on an underutilized diesel-fueled power plant, $486 million on planes that seldom—if ever—left the ground, and $106 million on an unused consulate.

Again, some waste and corruption are unavoidable given the scope and scale of USAID’s efforts, and the agency still does many truly great things throughout the world. It’s important not to lose sight of those facts. Yet, just because the good may outweigh the bad does not mean the bad should go unnoticed and unaddressed.

Many disagree with the manner in which President Trump and his people are attempting to solve these problems, and all of us would benefit from taking a step back to evaluate why we hold our opinions on this subject. As I wrote yesterday, stopping to ask the simple question “What if Biden did it?” can be a helpful tool in that regard.

Our opinions of Trump, his policies, and his approach do not change the fact that there are problems within USAID that desperately need to be addressed. And there’s an important lesson in that fact for each of us today.

Is it one fruit or many fruits?

One of the best-known concepts within Christianity is the fruit of the Spirit that Paul describes in Galatians 5: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23). However, something that often gets lost in translation is that the “fruit” of which Paul writes is singular rather than plural. In English, we use the same word for both, but the Greek is more specific.

It’s important to understand that when Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit, he’s describing a single, unified concept rather than several individual characteristics because, for most of us, some of these qualities come more naturally than others. As such, it’s often tempting to think that being faithful and kind can make up for the times when we lack gentleness and self-control. By the same token, having joy and peace in the good times does not make up for a failure to love and be patient when our circumstances grow more difficult.

In short, we can never be good enough at any of these qualities to compensate for a deficiency with others. God expects us to grow in each and to recognize that change is needed when we fail to do so.

Fortunately, Paul is also clear that these are not the fruit of effort or discipline—though both do play an important part. Rather, he calls them the fruit of the Spirit because it is the Holy Spirit who helps them grow in our lives as we walk with the Lord.

So how is your walk with God today? Are there any areas where you’ve failed to heed his conviction or tried to compensate for your sins rather than address them? Take a moment to ask the Lord to help you understand the real answers to those questions, then respond accordingly.

Every Christian should exhibit the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control that Scripture describes.

Do you?

WikiLeaks: USAID Has Been Funding Over 6,000 Journalists Worldwide Across Nearly 1000 Platforms | ZeroHedge

Yesterday’s report that the US government has been funding outlets such as Politico, the Associated Press, the BBC, and others raised more questions than it answered – though the obvious implication is that the US government has effectively been propping up regime-friendly media, which then peddles regime-friendly coverage – and spent years attacking independent outlets such as ZeroHedge, The Federalist, and many unlucky ones who have since been starved out of business.

(By the way, thank you to everyone who subscribed or bought something from our store yesterday. That goes a long way towards our mission to bring you a host of divergent opinions, and let you talk almost as much shit as you want in the comments section).

And while funding for Politico and others has come from all over the federal government – WikiLeaks, citing a RSF reporthighlighted that USAID was funding over 6,200 journalists across 707 media outlets and 279 “media” NGOswhich includes 90% of the reportage out of Ukraine.

According to RSF, the Trump administration’s freeze on foreign aid – roughly $268 million earmarked to fund “independent media and the free flow of information,” has ‘thrown journalism around the world into chaos.’

Almost immediately after the freeze went into effect, journalistic organizations around the world that receive American aid funding started reaching out to RSF expressing confusion, chaos, and uncertainty. The affected organizations include large international NGOs that support independent media like the International Fund for Public Interest Media and smaller, individual media outlets serving audiences living under repressive conditions in countries like Iran and Russia.

USAID programs support independent media in more than 30 countries, but it is difficult to assess the full extent of the harm done to the global media. Many organizations are hesitant to draw attention for fear of risking long-term funding or coming under political attacks. According to a USAID fact sheet which has since been taken offline, in 2023, the agency funded training and support for 6,200 journalists, assisted 707 non-state news outlets, and supported 279 media-sector civil society organizations dedicated to strengthening independent media. The 2025 foreign aid budget included $268,376,000 allocated by Congress to support “independent media and the free flow of information.”

Note the recurring use of the term ‘independent media.’

Of course, the RSF report, and another from the Columbia Journalism Review are sounding the alarm over the ‘silencing of independent media’ around the world.

The critical context they omit, however, is that USAID – despite the best of intentions when it was formed, has been corrupted into a deep-state slush-fund.

And so, no matter how ‘independent’ these USAID-funded media outlets are around the world, they’re all eating fruit from the same poisonous tree.

USAID Accused of Funneling $260 Million to Organizations Linked to George Soros’s Open Society Foundations | The Gateway Pundit

Billionaire philanthropist George Soros, through his network of organizations, received a staggering $260 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

USAID has been accused of funneling funds to entities connected with Soros’ Open Society Foundations, which are known for advocating for radical and regime changes globally.

The narrative around this funding has been traced back through several documents and reports.

In 2018, Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, filed a lawsuit against the State Department and USAID, seeking records on funding to Soros’s organizations in Albania.

On March 14, 2017, Judicial Watch sent a letter to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and six Senators calling “on the secretary to investigate the relations between USAID and the Soros Foundations and how U.S. tax dollars are being used by the State Department and the USAID to support left-of-center political groups who seek to impose left-leaning policies in countries such as Macedonia and Albania”, the senators wrote.

In the same year, The Heritage Foundation claimed that during the Obama administration, USAID partnered with Soros-funded groups to promote policies that were controversial even within the U.S., without clear alignment to national security interests.

These claims have been echoed in more recent times, with allegations that USAID funding under the Biden administration continued to flow towards causes aligned with Soros’ vision, such as diversity, equity, and inclusion programs abroad.

Mike Gonzalez, the Angeles T. Arredondo E Pluribus Unum Senior Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, wrote:

There is credible evidence that during the Obama years the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) was used to promote abroad policies that remain controversial within American society itself and that serve no clear national security interests.

To achieve these ends, USAID has teamed up in some countries with groups funded by financier George Soros, the world’s 22nd wealthiest man according to Forbes.

Following complaints from several foreign officials, a group of six Senators has asked Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to investigate these reports. Tillerson should conduct such a probe, and congressional committees should hold hearings.

Last year, USAID and George Soros were pulling the strings of color revolution.

In Georgia, there were mounting tensions as NGOs and ‘independent’ media orchestrated widespread protests against proposed legislation requiring them to reveal their international sponsors.

Investigations have exposed that key figures in these demonstrations are politicians and public figures financially supported by entities such as USAID and the George Soros-backed ‘Civil Society Foundation – Georgia’.

More from Just the News:

U.S. government spending records show that the East-West Management Institute, which is in part backed by Soros’ Open Society Foundations, received more than $260 million over the years in grants from USAID to, among other things, promote the rule of law in Georgia, strengthen civil society in Uganda, and advance Serbia’s accession talks with the European Union.

That same nonprofit group came under scrutiny during the Obama administration after Judicial Watch uncovered government records and communications showing that the East-West Management Institute’s “Justice for All” campaign in Albania received $9 million in funding from USAID.

The assistance concerned several GOP Senators, who sent a letter to the newly appointed Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in 2017, alleging the campaign funded by the U.S. government helped craft an Albanian judicial reform proposal that may “give the Prime Minister and left-of-center government full control over the judiciary.”

Those same Senators also raised concerns about a similar Soros-backed program in neighboring Macedonia where they said a local affiliate called Foundation Open Society-Macedonia received backing from USAID through the Open Society Foundations and pushed “a progressive agenda.”

Other Soros-backed organizations that received funding from both his Open Society Foundations network and USAID include the Anti-Corruption Action Center in Ukraine and Transparency International.

According to the group’s own records, the Anti-Corruption Action Center began receiving funding from USAID the same year the Maidan Revolution overthrew Ukraine’s elected, Russian-friendly President Viktor Yanukovych. The group, by its own admission, was heavily critical of Yanukovych’s government and ministers, which aligned with U.S. State Department policy at the time. During the 2014 Maidan Revolution, then-Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland visited Ukraine and was recorded on a leaked phone call discussing how the United States could influence the formation of a new government in Kyiv.

Democrats Cry As “Liberal Supply Chains” Are Wiped Out And Their Favorite Multi-Billion Dollar Money Machine Is Shut Down | End Of The American Dream

How much power would you have if you had a giant money machine that showered your political allies and political causes that you favor with tens of billions of dollars every year?  The corruption that is being uncovered at USAID is truly historic.  USAID has a budget that is larger than the CIA and the State Department combined, and much of that money was funding a vast network of liberal activists and liberal causes all over the globe.  When Laura Ingraham of Fox News asked U.S. Senator Josh Hawley about this, Hawley explained that Democrats “are just losing their minds” because “liberal supply chains” are being cut off…

“They’re panicking big time, Laura, because their power base is being threatened,” Hawley replied. “That’s what’s really going on here. I mean, look at what they’re doing over USAID. This is because they’ve used that as their personal plaything, and that includes billions and billions of taxpayer dollars that have gone, yes, to fund outrageous stuff overseas, like trans-affirming projects in Zimbabwe or whatever. But also, let’s not forget to fund their preferred media outlets like Politico and who knows what other Left-wing rags have been getting money. Federal government money from this agency, and there’s been no accountability.”

“So yes — what’s happening is Trump is exposing all of this. He is cutting off the liberal supply chains, as it were, and the liberals are just losing their minds. They’re totally losing their minds. We need more of it. You mentioned the IRS. I love it. I love Trump’s idea to get rid of the Internal Revenue Service. Let’s make it the External Revenue Service. Let’s start making these agencies work for the American people.

Leftists have been in charge at USAID for a very long time, and they just kept hiring other leftists underneath them.  Ultimately, it became one enormous tangled web of left-wing activists that were overtly advancing the interests of the Democratic Party.

One of the primary ways that USAID was doing this was by funding thousands of “non-governmental organizations”.

According to the State Department, there are approximately 1.5 million “non-governmental organizations” in the U.S. today…

Approximately 1.5 million NGOs operate in the United States. These NGOs undertake a wide array of activities, including political advocacy on issues such as foreign policy, elections, the environment, healthcare, women’s rights, economic development, and many other issues.

“Non-governmental organizations” are not supposed to make a profit.  But those that run them, those that sit on their boards, and those that are employed by them often make exceedingly large salaries.

This is one of the ways that Democratic operatives and campaign donors are rewarded.  They are often given cushy high-paid jobs with NGOs that are funded lavishly by our tax dollars.  In turn, those operatives and donors keep giving big money to Democratic candidates because they want to keep the gravy train rolling.

It is being reported that the majority of all USAID programs were being implemented by NGOs…

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) implement the majority (52%) of USAID programs, while public international organizations administer 34%, the U.S. government is responsible for about 10% and foreign governments implement about 4%, according to a CRS study of USAID non-military funding between fiscal years 2013-2022.

But when you try to track down many of these NGOs, you literally cannot find them.

In fact, Natalie Winters says that if you look up the addresses of some of these NGOs on Google, “you’ll find shacks or empty land”

The secrecy of the USAID grant database is by design.

Look up the addresses of entities receiving millions of dollars on Google maps and you’ll find shacks or empty land.

It’s pure money laundering.

There are some NGOs that do legitimate work, while there are others that apparently either do next to nothing or nothing at all.

It is one of the greatest scams out there.

But you have to be deeply connected in order to take advantage of it.

We are also learning that USAID was financially supporting “more than six thousand journalists, around seven hundred independent newsrooms, and nearly three hundred media-focused civil society groups in thirty or so countries”…

Already, though, the new administration’s approach to USAID has had sharp consequences all over the world—after taking office, Trump signed an order freezing virtually all American aid spending for ninety days, grinding dependent humanitarian operations to an immediate halt across a dizzying array of different project areas. Journalists have been among those affected: according to Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the aid freeze appears to have put a hold on $268 million that was earmarked to fund “independent media and the free flow of information” this year. In the recent past, USAID had boasted of supporting more than six thousand journalists, around seven hundred independent newsrooms, and nearly three hundred media-focused civil society groups in thirty or so countries—and yet, RSF notes, the full impact of the freeze is hard to measure, since many recipients are “hesitant to draw attention for fear of risking long-term funding or coming under political attacks.”

This is why so many “news outlets” all over the world sound the same.

It is because they were all being funded by the same source.

The level of corruption that is being revealed is absolutely staggering.

When members of the DOGE team first arrived at USAID, workers started freaking out and tried to hide evidence that might be “incriminating”

Contractor Kristina Drye, who is employed at USAID described to ABC News a scene reminiscent of the kind of mad scramble historically witnessed when a corrupt government has fallen and officials are desperately trying to get rid of evidence of wrongdoing.

Drye described USAID employees taking down pride flags and removing books that she felt might be “incriminating” as well as how “no one was talking” as DOGE team members began their review of the operations of the agency that sends billions of taxpayer dollars abroad for a variety of reasons ranging from disaster relief to funding regime change.

Thankfully, the giant money laundering operation at USAID has now been shut down.

And Democrats are absolutely furious about this.

Their multi-billion dollar money machine is gone, and they aren’t going to be able to replace it any time soon.

Ex-USAID director confirms ‘culture of corruption’ within agency | Conservative Review

Mark Moyar, a former director of the United States Agency for International Development, declared that the government agency has a “culture of corruption” that needs to be rooted out.

During a Wednesday interview with Fox News‘ Jesse Watters, Moyar described his experiences at the scandal-plagued USAID.

‘Very effective at rebranding things.’

Over the past week, President Donald Trump’s administration, especially Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, has exposed some of the agency’s wasteful spending. The administration is now pushing for a complete reorganization to prevent any more taxpayer funds from going toward anti-American initiatives.

Moyar, who began working at USAID in February 2018, explained to Watters that he was fired from his position after he tried to expose corruption within the agency.

He explained that during his orientation with USAID, he was asked to participate in a “privilege walk,” a group exercise designed to visually demonstrate how various forms of privilege or disadvantage impact the life outcomes of individuals from different backgrounds.

Each participant begins at the same starting line. As a series of statements are read aloud, participants step forward when the statement positively applies to their lives, indicating some form of privilege, or step backward when it negatively applies, indicating a disadvantage.

Moyar stated that employees were assigned an alternative identity for the orientation exercise, and he was selected to be “a Scandinavian woman.”

“They read lines like, ‘I get discriminated against because of government services,’ or, ‘People don’t like how I look,'” he told Watters. “I ended near the front. The indigenous woman with unwanted pregnancy and the male prostitute were at the other end. And then we talked about our privileges.”

Moyar explained that USAID is “very effective at rebranding things,” referring to the agency’s wasteful spending habits.

As an example, Moyar stated that the agency started a feminist women’s book club under the Obama administration, and it has since been re-designated as a counterterror program “because feminist women are key fighters in the battle against terrorism.”

During his time with USAID, Moyar said he tried to report one of his subordinates for a “criminal conflict of interest.” When he did so, he was informed that most employees were unwilling to report corruption within the agency.

“They didn’t tell me why,” Moyar told Watters. “I later figured out it’s because you get in a lot of trouble.”

“I was accused of publishing classified information,” he continued. “They ultimately used that to fire me. Now, the people who were engaged in the corruption managed to hold on to their jobs.”

He called the agency’s accusations “bogus,” stating that he has been fighting its claims in court for several years.

“There’s a culture of corruption that says, ‘If you are going to criticize anything corrupt, we are going to come after you,'” Moyar added.

He stated that USAID has historically refused to turn over information to the courts or Congress.

Moyar told Watters that the DOGE is doing a “good job” uncovering wasteful spending. However, he contended that exposing the depth of the agency’s issues would require forensic accountants.

“It’s probably going to take a long time because these bureaucrats have devised very crafty ways to hide money,” Moyar said.

He noted that Trump’s second-term administration has already been more diligent and efficient about cleaning out the agency than during Trump’s first four years in the White House.

Moyar believes Trump is now using a more “heavy-handed approach” with USAID because bureaucrats managed to hide most of the wasteful spending through his first term.

Headlines: Money Trails, Corruption, and Swamp Draining | Stand Up For The Truth Podcast

Mary dives into some headlines today that highlight the priorities and challenges of our new administration like nothing else. Trump and Musk have pulled the plug on the gooey, swampy USAID organization that provides funding to multiple countries for such diverse and in some cases, covert activities, such as terrorism, liberal causes, the overthrow of governments, and the corrupt Big Media. Taxpayer money has always been earmarked for overseas government aid, some of which, such as aid to Israel, actually is in our best security interests. But the average American, even before pulling the voting lever in November, truly had no idea that this was even taking place. We also look at the proposal for the US to take over Gaza, leveling the current decimated landscape, and giving Gazans a new start. With all that going on, we see that someone has put their foot on the gas pedal to make American’s lives better – yet the march to globalism goes on outside our borders, fulfilling Bible prophecy. Email Mary with your feedback!

Buckle up. Here are today’s topics:

Trump’s Gaza Riviera Proposal

  • Trump proposed transforming the war-torn Gaza Strip into a “Riviera” for economic development.
  • His plan includes U.S. control over Gaza, clearing unexploded bombs, leveling the area, and building jobs and housing.
  • International reactions:
    • Turkey: Called the idea “unacceptable.”
    • France: Warned of regional destabilization.
    • China, Russia, Spain, UK: Support a two-state solution.
  • Challenges highlighted by Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis:
    • Forcibly removing Gazans could be labeled ethnic cleansing.
    • Egypt and Jordan unlikely to accept 2 million refugees.
    • Increased Palestinian grievance could fuel unrest in the U.S.
    • Hamas is not yet destroyed, making rebuilding impossible.
  • Speculation that Trump’s proposal is more about drawing attention to the issue.

Zelenskyy Wants Nukes or NATO

  • Ukrainian President Zelenskyy suggests Ukraine should regain nuclear arms if NATO membership is off the table.
  • Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg dismissed this possibility as “slim to none.”
  • Reminder: Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons in 1994 in exchange for sovereignty guarantees, which Russia later violated.
  • The war in Ukraine has entered its third year, with prolonged U.S. financial aid.

USAID Controversy – Trump and Musk Targeting Foreign Aid

  • Drastic changes to USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development):
    • Dozens of officials placed on leave.
    • Thousands of contractors laid off.
    • Freeze on billions in foreign aid.
  • Historical background:
    • Established in 1961 by JFK during the Cold War.
    • Critics argue USAID promotes a liberal agenda and funds globalist causes.
  • Major spending highlights:
    • $40 billion spent in foreign aid in 2023.
    • Controversial allocations:
      • $68 million to the World Economic Forum.
      • $10 million for green transportation in Georgia.
      • $20 million for a Sesame Street show in Iraq.
      • $2 million for LGBT activism in Guatemala.
  • Trump’s crackdown:
    • Musk’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) aims to cut USAID spending.
    • “Resign via email” policy implemented for federal workers refusing to return to the office.
    • USAID absorbed into the State Department, marking a major shift.

USAID’s Role in Election Interference & Censorship

  • Revelations of USAID funding political manipulation:
    • Funded revolutions in Ukraine, Georgia, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan.
    • Over $9 million funneled to terrorist groups in Syria.
    • Supported censorship through the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening.
    • Helped pass laws to censor speech worldwide.
  • USAID’s role in the COVID-19 pandemic:
    • Funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan.

Media Corruption & USAID Funding

  • Major media outlets receiving U.S. government money:
    • Politico: $34.3 million from USAID.
    • Associated Press: $19.5 million.
    • New York Times: $26.9 million from the U.S. government.
    • Reuters: $9 million for social engineering defense.
  • Trump admin cutting off media funding.
    • Politico employees missed a pay period due to funding issues.

Dismantling of USAID – A Blow to Globalism

  • USAID described as a “globalist transmission belt”.
  • Facilitated globalist projects promoting liberal democracy, market economies, and human rights.
  • Eliminating USAID weakens U.S. involvement in globalist agenda.
  • Musk warns: This is the only opportunity to regain government control.

Total Information Warfare – Controlling Public Perception

  • Retired Dutch Major General Frank van Kappen confirms:
    • Governments and media manipulate facts to impose reality.
    • Social engineering dictates behavior and controls narratives.
  • Big Tech’s AI obsession:
    • Silicon Valley is working toward an “artificial god”.
    • Transhumanist goals include overcoming aging and surpassing human limitations.
  • Antichrist system?:
    • The world is ripe for the rise of a global leader due to misplaced hope in technology and politics.

Swamp-Dwellers Hating On Swamp-Drainers | CultureWatch

When you expose the darkness, be prepared for a reaction:

In just a few weeks in Washington, we have witnessed one of the greatest examples of house cleaning, or swamp-draining, on record. Trump is running at hyper-speed as he and his team (some of whom are still awaiting final confirmation) have done more good for the country and the world in dealing with this politically-corrupt city than any other recent administration has done.

And they have just gotten started. Whether exposing the waste of billions of tax-payer dollars on all sorts of crap – and that is what so much of it is – or getting rid of bloated bureaucracies, or firing anti-American traitors who never should have been appointed to positions of power, Team Trump is on a mega-roll.

Already Musk and DOGE have revealed billions of dollars of government expenditure that needs to be cut immediately. Just consider all the utterly insane USAID programs that Musk and Co have uncovered. It is mind-boggling what the taxpayers have been forced to pay for.

As White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters, “If you take a look at the waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities that that organization has been spending money on.” By now you would have seen just part of the list:

  • $50 million to fund condoms in Gaza
  • $1.5 million to advance DEI in Serbia’s workplaces
  • $70,000 for the production of a DEI musical in Ireland
  • $47,000 on a transgender opera in Colombia
  • $32,000 for a transgender comic in Peru
  • $37 million to the World Health Organization
  • $16 million in funding for institutional contractors in gender development offices
  • $4 million of funding for the Center for Climate-Positive Development
  • $12 million in support services to the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security
  • $6 million in non-emergency funding for redundant administrative supports for the Center of Excellence
  • $3 million in non-emergency funding to provide evaluation services for planning and learning programs
  • $600,000 to fund technical assistance for family planning in Latin America

And now we have just learned that the far-left propaganda arm of the Democratic, Politico, was getting $8 million from USAID, and another $34.3 million from various swampy government agencies. So here we had taxpayers subsidising anti-Trump agendas with over $42 million of their hard-earned cash.

Benny Johnson says this about the madness:

The public’s outrage over USAID corruption is now at scale and mainstream. USAID has been fully exposed as a left-wing money laundering criminal organization. Here’s what our researchers were able to find when looking into their expenditures and why President Trump and Elon Musk must shut it down:

– Haiti: Post-2010 earthquake, $1.14 billion was spent on a port and power plant project promoted by President Bill Clinton. The project never built anything.

– Cuba: A 2006 audit showed $74 million in “democracy promotion” funds vanished without oversight.

– Afghanistan: Millions squandered on health scams; hospitals never built.

– Nigeria: Chemonics, a major USAID contractor, was linked to a subcontractor’s overbilling scandal. Hundreds of millions lost.

– COVID 19 Funding: USAID sent over $40MILLION in taxpayer money to a scientist located in Wuhan to do gain of function mutations. This directly led to the creation and release of COVID-19

– $2.5 MILLION to DEI in Serbia

– $70,000 on an Irish DEI musical

– $47,000 on transgender operas in Colombia

– $32,000 on a trans comic book in Peru

– Iraq: $20M for an Iraqi version of Sesame Street to promote LGBTQ Agenda

– Egypt & Tunisia: $56M for “tourism”

– Jordan: $40M for “schools”

– Vietnam: $11M to fight “trash burning”

– Central America: $27M for deportee gift bags.

– Trump Lawfare: $27M to fund left wing prosecutions of populist political opponents around the globe, including Donald Trump. Patently illegal. And countless billions more.

Here’s the thing: The majority of this money never went to the “projects” they claim to be promoting. It’s just pure money laundering from your tax dollars into deep state left wing activists. USAID is likely the largest fraud operation in human history. Trump and Elon are ending it. Watch who cries the hardest about it — they’re the true criminals.

As a Babylon Bee article satirised:

In a horrific tragedy caused by USAID’s termination, 8-year-old Antonio Gonzalez of Ecuador may never have a chance to find out what gender he is. Gonzalez had enrolled in an USAID-sponsored elementary students’ class on how to properly determine his true gender, but will now never have the chance to attend. The devastating funding cuts will also prevent Gonzalez from attending other USAID activities like rainbow fingernail painting, queer theater day, and furry Saturday. https://babylonbee.com/news/sad-with-usaid-shut-down-this-ecuadorian-child-may-never-know-what-gender-he-is

When I discussed this on the social media, one friend said: “However, some good programs like supplying antivirals to HIV positive children and their grandparent carers in Uganda (and other African countries no doubt) have also stopped. Clearly some USAID is wasteful, but some was doing really good work and a complete halt across the board has been harmful to many.”

A friend replied: “Sometimes, when the greedy have corrupted a system deeply, it is just better to start over. Aid can be provided through a system with accountability. Starting over is a path forward.” I agreed, saying this:

Sure, not EVERY program was corrupt, evil and wasteful. But when a system is so obviously contaminated and off the rails, other options can be made use of to help support genuine worthy causes…. Your advice is akin to saying a dodgy doctor has poisoned, maimed and even killed some patients, but he has also helped a few others, so we must keep him. Sorry, but the doc has got to go.

These massively corrupt and wasteful bureaucracies HAVE to be stopped, or America will soon cease to exist. And so much waste and mismanagement has already been dealt with by Trump. Just today we learned that the newly appointed Attorney General Pam Bondi has cut off all federal funding to all sanctuary cities, “effective immediately”.

Now if you somehow think that the sanctuary movement is a good or biblical thing, think again. See this piece for the details: https://billmuehlenberg.com/2018/10/26/on-the-sanctuary-movement/

In that piece I quoted Rod Dreher:

The Bible tells Christians to love their neighbors as they love themselves. But who is their neighbor? The man next door? Yes. The people who live across town? Surely. Those who live in another part of their country? Okay. People from another country who want to settle in their country? Erm… . If everybody is your neighbor, then nobody is.

And what about if that settlement threatens to injure the interests of one’s own countrymen? That is, what if one’s charity to the foreigner takes away jobs from one’s neighbors who already live here? Where is the virtue of taking from the neighbor you already have to give to the one with whom you have no bonds? If you let the 7,000 in, on what grounds do you turn away the 7,001st? These are important questions.

But I digress. The number of anti-faith, anti-family, and anti-freedom programs, laws and legislation that has mounted up over the yeas is being set alight by the Trump blowtorch. And it is not a moment too soon. Another example: Trump, surrounded by women and children in the Oval Office, just signed an executive order to protect women’s sport.

Ronald Reagan once made this quip: “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help’.” Sadly, he could not solidly rein in runaway government spending, But Trump is a new sheriff in town, and he has all guns blazing. As another Babylon Bee meme recently put it, “Trump has become the first fascist in history to reduce the size of government.”

But the other side is going ballistic about all this. When you start making politicians and bureaucrats accountable for what they are doing, and all the taxpayer dollars they are spending, most of these folks start getting really mad. Indeed, instead of getting upset about all the waste and corruption, these leftists are upset at those doing the exposing of it.

As one pundit put it, “They’re upset with DOGE because they think it’s their money.” Nope. Governments have zero money, and they make no money. All they have is money from taxpayers. As such, taxpayers, and not bureaucrats and those who are benefitting from all these dodgy programs should be the ones having a say in where and how it is being spent.

And as Musk tweeted the other day: “Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters. This is the one shot the American people have to defeat BUREAUcracy, rule of the bureaucrats, and restore DEMOcracy, rule of the people. We’re never going to get another chance like this. It’s now or never. Your support is crucial to the success of the revolution of the people.”

When you aggressively work on draining the swamp there is one thing you can be certain of: a whole lot of ugly, dark and disgusting stuff starts coming to the surface. One rough and tough – but sadly accurate – meme put it this way: “It’s almost as if Trump came to Washington, flipped the lights on and all the cockroaches are running around in a panic.”

Amber Duke of the Daily Caller just penned a piece on this. She wrote:

The progressive left is going full establishment in service of attacking the new Trump administration.

As President Donald Trump tackles Big Pharma, dismantles the unelected bureaucracy, and defunds secret regime-change fronts for the CIA, progressives are in full meltdown mode. They raised millions of dollars from their gullible constituents over the years on the promise to return power to the people. Instead of proposing catastrophic fantasies like the Green New Deal and attacking your local grocer and gas stove, though, Trump is actually delivering on things that really matter to the average American — all while exposing the rank insincerity of the so-called populist left.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren revealed their true colors during former Democrat Robert F. Kennedy’s confirmation hearings for Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary. Both Democrats attacked Kennedy repeatedly over his intentions to sue pharmaceutical companies that harm the American people, insisting he was doing it to make a profit. Kennedy reaffirmed his commitment to hold Big Pharma accountable, which left Warren dramatically screeching into her microphone….

The tantrum continued when Kennedy pulled receipts proving both senators were some of the biggest recipients of campaign donations from pharmaceutical companies and their employees. “In 2020 you were the single largest accepter of pharmaceutical dollars. $1.5 million,” Kennedy told Sanders….

Warren has similarly spent the past week defending her campaign coffers, which are flush with Big Pharma cash. Warren received $498,074 from health professionals, $126,056 from the pharmaceutical industry, and $109,065 from hospitals and nursing homes from 2019 to 2025. In a tense exchange with a reporter yesterday, Warren craftily insisted she doesn’t “take contributions from Big Pharma executives.” That doesn’t rule out, of course, taking donations from others employed in the industry or company PACS; she took $2,500 from Amgen’s PAC, $1,000 from Takeda’s PAC in 2014 and $2,500 from AstraZeneca’s PAC, for example, earlier in her Senate career….

The progressive left is having its emperor’s-new-clothes moment, and it’s glorious to watch. https://dailycaller.com/2025/02/05/progressives-trump-corporatist-elizabeth-warren-bernie-sanders-rfk-usaid/

Yep, no wonder the swamp-dwellers are now so completely incensed at what is going on – they are being exposed big time for who they really are. So that image of the cockroaches scurrying away from the light seems rather appropriate indeed.

What Trump has done so far in 15 days has been nothing short of remarkable. Imagine what he can do in four years! He and his team are doing some utterly important work here. But those who have made a living in being swamp-dwellers sure do not like this much-needed exposure and cleanup, and they are fighting it every step of the way. So please pray for the safety and protection of Trump and Co – they will certainly need it.

Thanks To DOGE, We Have Been Learning That Our Government Has Been Doing Lots Of Very Bad Things | End Of The American Dream

The entire world is watching in horror as the crimes of the United States government under the Biden administration are being revealed by DOGE for all the world to see.  Election interference, overthrowing governments, ruthless censorship of ideas, funding terrorism, funding abortion, targeting politicians for harrassment and promoting the exploitation of children are just some of the crimes against humanity that our government has been committing.  In an article that I posted earlier, I documented how government agencies have literally been buying off major media outlets.  If you have a conscience, you should be deeply sickened by what our government has been doing.

The primary agency that has been causing so much chaos all over the globe is USAID.

It actually has a bigger budget than the CIA does, and in the past it has bragged about interfering in elections and trying to overthrow governments…

A 2006 archived USAID website proudly claims the agency “supported” revolutions in Ukraine, Georgia, Lebanon, and Kyrgyzstan.

USAID funded and trained thousands of journalists, lawyers, judges, and election workers, conducted polls questioning election legitimacy, published reports alleging fraud, and helped oversee new elections, among other initiatives.

“Many people watched in wonder as the multicolored revolutions took place—the Orange Revolution in Ukraine, the Rose in Georgia, the Cedar in Lebanon, the Tulip in Kyrgyzstan… Few realized that for years, the United States and other countries and organizations had been supporting this homegrown desire for democracy.”

Our politicians get so upset when someone tries to interfere in our elections.

But when we do it to other countries that is somehow okay?

I don’t think so.

The son of the president of Hungary is absolutely thrilled that USAID and other U.S. government agencies will no longer be interfering in his nation…

In Hungary, we’ve seen it all before:
🛑 €7.3M in illicit foreign funding funneled into the 2022 opposition campaign via Soros-backed ‘Action for Democracy.’
🛑 @SamanthaJPower visited Budapest to meet LGBTQ activists & push “locally-driven initiatives” to help “independent” media thrive.
🛑 NED has been bankrolling opposition media & NGOs for years, and now Victoria Nuland—who once handed Hungary a 2-page ultimatum, demanding changes to our domestic policies & constitution in exchange for “good relations”—sits on the NED Board.

We have also learned that USAID has literally been funding terrorism

Of the billions of tax dollars spent by the U.S. Agency for International Development Office (USAID) that are being questioned by the Trump administration, millions went to fund terrorism.

A multi-year investigation brought by the Justice Department and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia reveals the scope of how funds were used in one recent terrorism-related case.

If you can believe it, over 9 million dollars from USAID was funneled to the Al-Nusrah Front and other terror groups inside Syria

It involved a Syrian national, Mahmoud Al Hafyan, who was charged with illegally diverting more than $9 million of taxpayer money through USAID to armed combatant groups, including the Al-Nusrah Front (ANF), a designated foreign terrorist organization affiliated with al-Qaida in Iraq.

In the past, we have been told that those that fund terrorists are a party to their crimes.

So what does that make USAID?

Just something to think about.

It has also been revealed that USAID gave $68,000,000 to the World Economic Forum…

I could not possibly list all of the bad things that the WEF is involved with.

USAID was also funding a global censorship network known as “the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening” (CEPPS)…

And CEPPS is the exact USAID program that ran a formal explicit global Internet censorship program, pooling 100s of censorship NGOs into one combined network, with the express stated purpose to pressure foreign governments to pass laws & regulations to censor speech online.

The good news is that the CEPPS website is now down.

I think that they wanted to hide their crimes.

Speaking of hiding crimes, there has been a tremendous effort to hide the fact that the NIH and USAID were funding the very dangerous gain of function experiments that were being conducted in Wuhan, China just before the pandemic broke out…

“Records prove that Ben Hu — COVID’s likely ‘Patient Zero’ — is a Wuhan white coat funded directly by Fauci, NIT & USAID to conduct dangerous coronavirus gain of function experiments on animals!” watchdog group White Coat Waste Project posted on X today.

Fauci has long denied being involved in such measures, but GOP Senator Ran Paul has never backed down from disputing his claims. He likewise challenged Samantha Powers about USAID money going to Wuhan as well.

How much pain and suffering could have been avoided if that pandemic had never happened?

As I have dug into all this, I have been absolutely amazed by the scale of the corruption that has been going on.

The Trump administration has listed some of the other ways that USAID money has been used to corrupt children, push sexual immorality, and promote far left ideology all over the world…

— $7.9 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid “binary-gendered language”

— $20 million for a new Sesame Street show in Iraq

— $4.5+ million to “combat disinformation” in Kazakhstan

— $1.5 million for “art for inclusion of people with disabilities”

— $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala

— $6 million to “transform digital spaces to reflect feminist democratic principles”

— $2.1 million to help the BBC “value the diversity of Libyan society”

— $10 million worth of USAID-funded meals, which went to an al Qaeda-linked terrorist group

— $25 million for Deloitte to promote “green transportation” in the country of Georgia

— $6 million for tourism in Egypt

— $2.5 million to promote “inclusion” in Vietnam

— $16.8 million for a SEPARATE “inclusion” group in Vietnam

— ~$5 million to EcoHealth Alliance, one of the key NGOs funding bat virus research at the Wuhan lab

— $20 million for a group related to a key player in the Russiagate impeachment hoax

— $1.1 million to an Armenian “LGBT group”

— $1.2 million to help the African Methodist Episcopal Church Service and Development Agency in Washington, D.C., build “a state-of-the-art 440 seat auditorium”

— $1.3 million to Arab and Jewish photographers

— $1.5 million to promote “LGBT advocacy” in Jamaica

— $1.5 million to “rebuild” the Cuban media ecosystem

— $2 million to promote “LGBT equality through entrepreneurship” in Latin America

— $500K to solve sectarian violence in Israel (just ten days before the Hamas October 7 attack)

— $2.3 million for “artisanal and small scale gold mining” in the Amazon

— $3.9 million for “LGBT causes” in the western Balkans

— $5.5 million for LGBT activism in Uganda

— $6 million for advancing LGBT issues in “priority countries around the world”

— $6.3 million for men who have sex with men in South Africa

— $8.3 million for “USAID Education: Equity and Inclusion”

Are you kidding me?

Thankfully, USAID is now being absorbed by the State Department and most of their existing workers will be placed on administrative leave.

If you go to USAID’s website right now, this is the message that you will find…

On Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11:59 pm (EST) all USAID direct hire personnel will be placed on administrative leave globally, with the exception of designated personnel responsible for mission-critical functions, core leadership and specially designated programs. Essential personnel expected to continue working will be informed by Agency leadership by Thursday, February 6, at 3:00pm (EST).

For USAID personnel currently posted outside the United States, the Agency, in coordination with missions and the Department of State, is currently preparing a plan, in accordance with all applicable requirements and laws, under which the Agency would arrange and pay for return travel to the United States within 30 days and provide for the termination of PSC and ISC contracts that are not determined to be essential. The Agency will consider case-by-case exceptions and return travel extensions based on personal or family hardship, mobility or safety concerns, or other reasons. For example, the Agency will consider exceptions based on the timing of dependents’ school term, personal or familial medical needs, pregnancy, and other reasons. Further guidance on how to request an exception will be forthcoming.

Thank you for your service.

The Department of Education is another agency that has been corrupting countless numbers of children for a very long time.

And those that work there have been getting paid extremely well

The Department of Education’s budget for fiscal year 2025 is $82.4 billion, with an average salary of $112,164, 56% higher than the average government employee.

Since its formation in 1979, the US has gone from 1st to 34th in OECD ranking.

Thankfully, it appears that the Department of Education is one of the next targets for DOGE.

And it is being reported that DOGE officials have already stormed the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Staffers with Elon Musk’s “department of government efficiency” (Doge) reportedly entered the headquarters of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa) in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the Department of Commerce in Washington DC today, inciting concerns of downsizing at the agency.

“They apparently just sort of walked past security and said: ‘Get out of my way,’ and they’re looking for access for the IT systems, as they have in other agencies,” said Andrew Rosenberg, a former Noaa official who is now a fellow at the University of New Hampshire. “They will have access to the entire computer system, a lot of which is confidential information.”

As Elon Musk has warned, this is our only opportunity to regain control over our government.

This is going to be a battle to the finish.  Donald Trump and Elon Musk have put everything on the line against the federal bureaucracy, and only one side is going to make it through all of this.

In fact, if Trump had not won the election he would have gone to prison for the rest of his life, and Musk would have been relentlessly targeted by the feds until he was completely done.

So they understand the stakes.

Our government agencies are literally teeming with evil and corruption, and they have been doing very bad things for a long time.

Hopefully Trump and Musk will be successful in cleaning up the system.

Because if they fail, the evil and corruption will only come back even stronger in the future.

Just What Exactly Has the USAID Been Funding? | IFA

Recently, President Trump and Elon Musk have been on a crusade against the U.S. Agency for Internal Development (USAID). This all-out assault has caused many in Washington and beyond to bristle, but is it justified? What exactly has this agency been doing for the past six decades?

Get prayer updates from IFA.

What Is USAID?

The official USAID website is currently down, but usa.gov says the agency’s purpose is “to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms.” Wikipedia further clarifies things by offering five bullet points. According to Wikipedia, the agency specializes in:

  • Disaster relief
  • Poverty relief
  • Technical cooperation on global issues, including the environment
  • U.S. bilateral interests
  • Socioeconomic development

On paper, these sound like noble pursuits. And if the agency really was sticking to these issues, it may not have attracted the ire of President Trump and his administration. However, USAID has strayed from these written goals, pursuing all cultural rot and regime changes in foreign nations. With the eyes of every American firmly glued to this agency, many news sites and influencers have been covering just what exactly USAID has been funding with taxpayer dollars.

What Is USAID Funding?

While President Trump has put much of the USAID on ice, the agency was funding many programs and initiatives. As best, many of these initiatives were frivolous wastes of America tax dollars. At worst, they were actively harmful to the people of our nation. Daily Caller, for example, revealed that the agency was funding:

  • LGBTQ causes in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Millions of condoms, birth control products, and IUDs around the world, especially in the third world.
  • Peace in Palestine (much of the aid given to this cause ended up in the hands of the terrorists responsible for October 7).
  • “Democracy, Gender and Rights Programs” in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
  • EcoHealth Alliance, which funneled money into the Wuhan Institute of Virology (Yes, the same Wuhan that was responsible for COVID-19).

The Daily Wire has also exposed some of the USAID’s more egregious expenses, such as:

  • “ZunZuneo,” a Twitter alternative in Cuba that may or may not have been created to overthrow the nation’s government.
  • The World Economic Forum.
  • DEI in Serbian workplaces.
  • A “DEI musical” in Ireland.
  • A “transgender opera” in Colombia.
  • A “transgender comic book” in Peru.

These last three items on that list may seem like jokes, but they are very real, announced by the White House press secretary herself. If these financial pursuits sound like outrageous wastes of money to you, it is because they are. Personally, I don’t think our government should be producing comic books at all. We shouldn’t be funding the creation of comics, we definitely shouldn’t be funding the creation of “transgender” comics, and we absolutely shouldn’t be funding the creation of transgender comics in a foreign nation thousands of miles away.

In a press conference yesterday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also revealed that the USAID has been funding media outlets such as Politico, a left-leaning (and that’s a generous way to describe it) news site that has routinely attacks conservatives, most notably President Trump. It is worth noting that Politico was the news site that first leaked the Dobbs decision back in early 2022, an action that led to months-long harassment against six Supreme Court justices. This very same organization was being funded by the USAID at that time.

Nevertheless, our unelected leaders in the USAID felt that these were all worthwhile efforts that necessitated the spending of our money. On top of its terrible track record on spending, the USAID was also anything but honest and transparent. The aforementioned Daily Wire article mentioned that the agency lied about ZunZuneo, pulling from money that had been earmarked for Pakistan to pay for the project. Additionally, the agency has a history of stonewalling lawmakers who seek to hold it accountable.

With all these facts in mind, its easy to see why the President has placed the USAID in the crosshairs.

Where Does This Leave Us?

USAID is only the most recent target of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and it’s safe to assume it won’t be the last. While the depths of government corruption and waste may shock us, we can take solace in the fact that this rot is finally being exposed.

For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light (Luke 8:17).

As intercessors, these revelations are exactly what we’ve prayed for. Let’s not give up now! Let’s continue to pray!

  • Pray that the Trump administration would continue to expose our government’s misdeeds so that they may be corrected.
  • Pray that our frivolous funding escapades would be brought under control.
  • Pray that the money wasted by organizations like the USAID would instead be used to better the lives of Americans!

We prayed about the USAID and it’s wasteful/harmful spending on this week’s episode of Headline Prayer Live. You can watch this webcast below:

Trump’s freezing of USAID might be the best thing he’s done so far | WINTERY KNIGHT

It’s hard to to make a ranking of which actions are the best for Christians and conservatives. There have been so many. But this one really draws a line between Trump 1.0 and Trump 2.0. The most common complaint I heard from Trump supporters after his first term was that he didn’t do enough to drain the swamp. Well, this new Trump action is the most Swamp-Draining one yet.

This is from Daily Signal:

The Trump administration is putting a stick of dynamite under the deep state, and Democrats are apoplectic.

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump put nearly all District of Columbia-based employees of the U.S. Agency for International Development on leave. According to Politico, this amounts to about 1,400 people in addition to 600 employees who were put on leave starting Sunday.

This comes after the Trump administration put a 90-day freeze on all foreign assistance.

New Secretary of State Marco Rubio “noted that embassies around the world complain that USAID is not only uncooperative but that it undermines the governments the U.S. wants to work with. Rubio said that the agency operates as if its master is the “globe” and not the U.S., which is a departure from the intent of the original statute that created it.”

And this is just crazy:

Rubio, who is putting the operation of USAID under his authority, said the goal has been to reform the agency, but right now, there is “rank insubordination.” The attitude of the employees, Rubio said, is that they work for themselves, not the American people or their elected officials.

This is why the administration had to take dramatic steps to temporarily freeze the agency, Rubio explained.

[…]Organizations like USAID became enlisted in what can be described as no less than the creation of a global leftist empire… a conduit to siphon U.S. taxpayer dollars to various leftist projects, many of which are deeply resented by other nations.

It became, at minimum, a jobs program for hordes of American left-wing activists.

The Democrats are not going to take this one lying down, as this is their whole global secular leftist network. But, all that Trump has to do to beat them is to show the American public what USAID has been spending their money on.

Here are some examples:

For instance, The Washington Free Beacon reported that in 2023 under President Joe Biden, USAID spent $1 million “on a project to help disabled people in the Central Asian country of Tajikistan become ‘climate leaders.’”

For instance, according to The Wall Street Journal, the State Department was funding “culture grants” to promote drag queen performances in Ecuador. Meanwhile, China was investing heavily in the country’s copper mining production.

The Free Beacon also reported that USAID spent millions of dollars on various diversity, equity, and inclusion projects, including a program created to “engage with indigenous-led institutions to implement an indigenous language technology program” in Guatemala where over 95% of people speak Spanish.

[…]“In November 2022, USAID sent $78,000 to the Community Development and Continuing Education Institute (CDCEI), a Palestinian activist group based in the West Bank. Its leaders praised a terrorist who murdered a U.S. military attaché as a ‘hero fighter,’” the Free Beacon reported.

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., sent a letter to USAID in October 2024 saying that some of the more than a billion dollars being used for humanitarian relief in Gaza was likely being funneled to terrorists.

[…]Under Biden, USAID even spent money funding abortions in Africa through programs billed as AIDS relief, Fox News reported.

I know this sounds crazy, but this is what happens when you give secular leftists access to taxpayer money. They just go crazy with it, and that’s why they shouldn’t have any money at all.

And if that’s not enough for you, check out this story from Breitbart, about how the Trump administration wants to tackle corruption in the FBI and DOJ:

FBI officials acknowledged over 5,000 employees worked on investigations related to January 6, CNN reported Tuesday.

The numbers reveal for the first time the scope of the federal government’s resources devoted to the J6 investigations, which took place while violent crime in urban America soared 40 percent from 2019 to 2023 under the Biden administration, according to the federal government’s own numbers.

The Department of Justice asked the FBI Friday to provide by Tuesday at noon the details of all its employees who worked on January 6 investigations.

But of course these agents don’t want to be held accountable for their actions under the previous (fascist) administration:

FBI employees have fought to hide their roles in J6 investigations.

Just fire them all right now! Or ship them to prisons in El Salvador if they resist.

Senator John Kennedy Has Some Tough Words for Leftists Who Are Freaking Out About USAID (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has a way with words and when it comes to the left’s latest freak out over USAID, he does not disappoint.

During an appearance on Hannity, Kennedy said “It’s USAID today, it’s gonna be Department of Education tomorrow.”

Kennedy is right and when that time arrives, we will see an even bigger meltdown from Democrats.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

You can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Now, President Trump ran for office saying, I’m going to review every single penny in the federal budget. Now, how are you going to review the spending in the federal budget without reviewing the spending?

And that’s what Mr. Musk is doing. Now, many of my Democratic colleagues and some of the tofu-eating Wookerati at the USAID are screaming like they’re part of a prison riot because they don’t want us reviewing the spending. But that’s all Mr. Musk is doing, and he’s finding some pretty interesting stuff. To my friends who are upset, I would say with respect, you know, call somebody who cares. They better get used to this. It’s USAID today.

It’s going to be Department of Education tomorrow. And really, here’s what’s going on. For four years under President Biden, the people in charge ask one simple question.

Who needs to pay more in taxes? Who needs to pay more in taxes? Well, that’s not the question that the Republicans and President Trump are going to ask.

Our question is, what the hell happened to the money? And that’s all that’s going on.

Watch the video below:

Where USAID Cash Is (Was) Going | ZeroHedge

The website of the United States Agency for International Development went dark over the weekend and employees were put on leave, as Elon Musk said Monday that President Donald Trump wanted to shut down the largest disburser of U.S. foreign aid.

The remarks were made by Musk during a live stream discussing the work of his government task force, the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, that he was announced to be leading by the president. Media reports meanwhile said that USAID could be absorbed into the State Department while many of the projects its supports – from health to infrastructure and disaster-relief programs – would be slashed significantly.

USAID spending equals less than 1 percent of the federal budget, but, as Statista’s Katharina Buchholz reports, The United States Agency for International Development, USAID for short, is the biggest dispenser of U.S. foreign aid, according to the federal website Foreignassistance.gov.

It disbursed almost $44 billion in the fiscal year of 2023 (latest available), with $16 billion going to Ukraine.

Infographic: Where USAID Is Going | Statista

You will find more infographics at Statista

The number represents more than 60 percent of all U.S. foreign aid listed on the website.

The agency pays out only economic aid, with military aid being handled by the Department of State and the Department of Defense.

After Ukraine, USAID payments were predominantly going to the Middle East and Africa in 2023.

Ethiopia, Jordan, Afghanistan and Somalia all received more than $1 billion from USAID that year. U.S. aid recipients are found all over Latin America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

Together with the Department of State/Defense spending, which focuses on the Middle East even more due to military aid components, it is the widest-ranging U.S. foreign aid paid out.
