Roots of Conflict: The Secret History of the War in Ukraine | The Gateway Pundit

On 24 February 2022, Russian armies swept across Ukrainian territory. Trump’s election heralds a new approach to the Ukraine issue. Perhaps now is a good time to revisit the background to this sordid war.

The maximalist enlargement of NATO, a “tragic mistake”?

When the USSR collapsed, two schools of thought emerged in the West. The messianic school of those who believe that the Western model of liberal democracy is destined to extend its influence.

From this point of view, welcoming a former Soviet country into NATO is tantamount to allowing it to embrace civilisation, by removing it from the authoritarian Russian orb.

In contrast to the messianics, the American realist school of George F. Kennan and Henry Kissinger believes that international relations involve a search for a balance of power. Kissinger and Kennan do not deny the primacy of the West in terms of values; they ask that other conceptions and philosophies of power be taken into account. Especially if they are backed by the world’s largest nuclear arsenal.[1]

In the twilight of Mikhail Gorbachev’s term of office, Russia was in a comatose state, unable to stand up to its adversaries. When Germany announced its reunification, Russia decided not to oppose it. But it asked for guarantees.

On 9 February 1990, US Secretary of State James A. Baker and Soviet leader Gorbachev agreed in Moscow that NATO would not extend beyond East Germany.

This pledge — “iron-clad guarantees that NATO jurisdiction or forces would not move eastward,” in the words of Becker  — was publicly confirmed by NATO’s Secretary General Manfred Wörner in May 1990.

Although this commitment is not a formal treaty, it is clear and categorical. Because, the concept of Russian imperialism had not changed.

The Russians remained convinced that NATO threatens their vital interests and that a buffer zone between NATO forces in Europe and Russian territory is a necessity. They want guarantees.

Five years later, NATO’s enlargement towards Russia began. With Russia in a weak position, the Americans thought they could disregard the moral ‘soft law’ commitment they had made in 1990.

NATO began to expand eastwards, accepting countries and states that had previously formed an integral part of the Russian orbit. The decision to expand towards the countries of Eastern Europe in successive waves was taken by the Clinton administration in the mid-1990s.

The first invitations: at the Madrid summit (1997), NATO invited three countries to begin accession talks: Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. In March 1999, these three countries officially joined NATO at the Washington summit.

In 1999, President Clinton expressed the ‘messianic’ philosophy of this enlargement in no uncertain terms: “We want all of Europe to have what America helped build in Western Europe – a community that upholds common standards of human rights, where people have the confidence and security to invest in the future, where nations cooperate to make war unthinkable.

That is why I have pushed hard for NATO’s enlargement and why we must keep NATO’s doors open to new democratic members, so that other nations will have an incentive to deepen their democracies.”

George Kennan had denounced this “tragic mistake” of this enlargement in the New York Times in 1998. He explained that by counting on Russian weakness, we were overlooking the fact that this asthenia would not last forever, and that the Russian concept of security had not changed.

Enlargement will nevertheless continue as far as the Baltic States, in 2004; States that were Russian for a long time and where a significant proportion of the population was (is) Russian-speaking and ethnically Slavic.

Ukraine

Emboldened by its past successes, NATO, like the turkey that rejoices in being fattened up – “so far, so good” – until Thanksgiving, affirmed in 2008 its desire to welcome Ukraine into its fold.

Ukraine is obviously more complicated than the three modest Baltic states. A thousand-year-old cradle of Russian civilisation — ‘Kievan Rus’ was the first East Slavic state and later an amalgam of principalities in Eastern Europe from the late 9th to the mid-13th century — Ukraine was almost always an integral part of Russia, until the Bear – the Soviets, in this case – granted it a form of independence.

A formidable agricultural power, Ukraine is the largest territory in Europe and the indispensable stepping stone for any movement of troops from Europe to Russia (Napoleon 1812, Hitler 1941) and from Russia to Europe (Stalin 1943, 1944).

That Ukraine, its country and its people, are intimately linked to Russia is a simple fact. To deny this for propaganda purposes is not the act of a knowledgeable person, but of a militant (equally respectable, but different). Moreover, territorial conflicts are not decided by morality or history, but by diplomacy and force – two forms of the same reality: power.

When Ukraine’s NATO vocation was affirmed in 2008, the Russians choked. Not just Putin; as Bob Woodward points out in his latest book War (October 2024), he has never met a Russian – not even one of Putin’s fiercest opponents – who accepts the idea of Ukraine joining NATO.

Armies of Russian and Western spies, manipulators and provocateurs immediately descend on Ukraine in an attempt to influence Ukrainian politics.

In 2014, Ukraine witnessed a major upheaval, often referred to as a “coup d’état”, although the term is open to debate and largely depends on the political and geopolitical perspective.  Ukraine was torn between its communist past, an opening towards Europe, and its age-old ties with Russia.

The government of Viktor Yanukovych, the democratically elected president, rejected the association agreement with the European Union, opting instead to strengthen ties with Russia under pressure from Moscow and promises of financial support.

This decision triggered a wave of demonstrations, which swelled into a human tide in the squares of Kiev, particularly on the Maïdan Nezalezhnosti, Independence Square.

The demonstrators, self-proclaimed “Euromaidan”, called for an end to corruption and a reorientation towards Europe. The months that followed were marked by clashes, with the government responding by force to what it considered to be an insurrection.

Snipers, whose identity and motives remain controversial, fired into the crowd, killing dozens of demonstrators and police. These “Days of Dignity” (sic) marked a point of no return.

On 22 February 2014, in an atmosphere fraught with tension, the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, voted to remove Yanukovych from office. A new government was formed.

Western observers hailed this as a triumph of democracy, while Russia and its allies saw it as a coup d’état orchestrated by Western forces. Let us understand the Russian view: Moscow was playing the game of Western democracy and it is a democratically elected Ukrainian leader who had chosen rapprochement with Russia.

In response, the West is supporting what in legal theory is a coup d’état, to ensure Ukraine’s future membership of NATO.

It was in response to this blow that Russia seized Crimea and invested in the Donbass: initial incursions, but not yet war, because Russia does not have the military means.

The Georgian precedent

Russia had already invaded Georgia in August 2008, marking the start of the second South Ossetia war. This conflict was triggered by border clashes between the Russian-backed South Ossetian separatist militia and the Georgian armed forces.

Georgia attempted to reassert its control over South Ossetia, which led to a massive Russian military response, not only in South Ossetia but also in Abkhazia, another separatist region.

The war began on the night of 7 to 8 August 2008, when Georgian troops launched an offensive on Tskhinvali, the capital of South Ossetia, in response to attacks by South Ossetian militias.

Russia, under the pretext of protecting its population and guaranteeing peace, then intervened with its armed forces, pushing back the Georgian forces and taking control of South Ossetia and a large part of Abkhazia.

This conflict did not lead to the formal annexation of Georgia by Russia, but to Russia’s recognition of the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, regions which remain under de facto Russian and separatist control.

The invasion was a reaction to Georgia’s pro-Western orientation under President Mikheil Saakashvili, whose ambitions to join NATO and the European Union were perceived as threats to Russia’s strategic interests in the region.

The precedent was clear.

The war

In 2021, Russia is massing troops on the Ukrainian border, with deployments intensifying from November onwards. This military activity was initially interpreted as geopolitical pressure on Ukraine and the West.

But there was also Chekhov’s revolver theory: when a revolver is introduced in the first act, it’s because someone intends to use it. Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the US President, soon became convinced of this (see War).

However, many remained sceptical, particularly in Europe and even in Ukraine, whose leaders saw these gatherings of Russian troops as a means of exerting pressure rather than a threat of invasion.

In mid-January 2022, the American intelligence community unanimously concluded that a Russian invasion was imminent. Contacts were made at the highest level – that of the Presidency – to try to dissuade Putin, by presenting him with the detestable and deleterious consequences of an invasion for Russia.

In the course of these negotiations, the Russian point of view became did not change, demanding official and public recognition that Ukraine would never join NATO.

The Americans refuse to provide this guarantee.

On 22 February 2022, Russian troops entered Ukraine, opening a trail of carnage that continues to this day.

Provisional balance sheet

NATO’s enlargement towards Russia, in contravention of the 1990 commitments, is the decisive cause of the war in Ukraine — which in no way excuses Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Denying the reality of this commitment, denying the reality of the pro-Western coup of 2014, is not a matter of knowledge, but of propaganda, which has nothing to envy to the Russian propaganda absurdly presenting Ukraine as a “Nazi state”.

The conflict between Western messianism and Russian imperialism will be settled by force of arms. Three years after the invasion of Ukraine, the Russians have taken a serious option on Eastern Ukraine. It is hard to see what geopolitical and military configuration would allow the Donbass, let alone Crimea, to return to the Ukrainian fold.

Three scenarios to end the war

The accession to power of the team that is in many respects qualitative that President Trump is preparing allows us to glimpse the end of this terrible carnage. Because we must avoid concluding too quickly, three scenarios are emerging:

Ukraine’s capitulation

Russia could still win a decisive military victory leading to Ukraine’s capitulation. This scenario depends on several factors such as a significant reduction in Western support, Ukraine’s inability to hold the front line any longer, and renewed and overwhelming military pressure from Russia.

This would suppose that the ceasefire negotiations drag on and that Russia bets on an “all-in” in the meantime. This scenario does not seem the most likely.

Frozen conflict

In this second scenario, American pressure would lead to negotiations aimed at a ceasefire rather than a complete resolution of the conflict, which is unrealistic at this stage.

A peace deal could indeed be reached if both sides, faced with exhausted resources and troops, decide to negotiate in good faith. This deal could include territorial concessions from Ukraine, security guarantees for Russia and Ukraine, and perhaps even the beginnings of Ukraine’s integration into international structures such as the EU.

With Ukraine’s accession to NATO being the original casus belli according to Russia, such a concession seems all the less likely given Russia’s advantage on the ground, despite its terrible losses in men and equipment.

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia has gained almost six times as much territory in 2024 as it did in 2023.

Escalation and external intervention

President Biden’s approval of long-range Ukrainian strikes into Russia marks a significant escalation of the conflict. This approval is not without reason, as it allows Ukraine to extricate itself from an increasingly critical situation on the front lines.

In response, Russian President Putin immediately signed a decree expanding the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons, explicitly specifying that the use of ballistic missiles against Russia could justify a nuclear response.

Putin made it clear that aggression against Russia by a non-nuclear state, but with the support or participation of a nuclear state (a clear reference to Ukraine and its Western allies), could be considered a joint attack, potentially justifying a nuclear response. This sounds more like a warning than a direct nuclear threat.

The second scenario seems the most likely, although neither of the other two – capitulation or escalation – can be totally ruled out.

Former Polish Minister Piotr Kulpa says half of the US aid to Ukraine was stolen and delivered to Democrats.

Former Polish Minister Piotr Kulpa says up to half of the US aid to Ukraine was laundered by Ukrainians, and much was given to US Democrats.

Maybe that’s why the Democrat lawmakers were waving Ukrainian flags on the House floor?

Did anyone really not believe this was happening?

In March 2022, the wife of Ukrainian MP Ihor Kotvitskyi was caught with over a million euros in her suitcase on her way out of Ukraine.

In March 2022, the wife of former Ukrainian MP Ihor Kotvitskyi declared 28 million dollars and 1.3 million euros when entering Hungary.

And, she’s not the only one.

Another Ukrainian diplomat tried to flee Ukraine with 68,000€, $140,000, 12kg gold, 13.8kg gold jewelry and a large number of cigarettes.

Your tax dollars at work — making corrupt Ukrainian politicians rich.

Now even foreign diplomats are speaking out against the money laundering.

Kiev laundered money for the Democrats, taking a cut of what was left over, Piotr Kulpa has claimed.

Ukraine did not receive as much foreign aid as claimed by the administration of US President Joe Biden, and whatever help it did get was largely embezzled, a former Polish deputy minister has claimed. Up to a half of the funds that reached Kiev was stolen by Ukrainian officials, Piotr Kulpa has alleged.

The political commentator previously held several posts in the Polish government, serving as deputy labor minister in the mid-2000s, and is currently a regular contributor on Ukrainian online shows. Kulpa is a vocal supporter of US President-elect Donald Trump, as evidenced by his remarks to Ukrainian journalist Lana Shevchuk on Thursday.

“Everyone understands that war-related corruption is linked not only with Ukraine, but also the supplier nation,” he said. “Who would ever believe that the US burned through $2 trillion in Afghanistan? It’s delusional!”

US aid programs are a mechanism to “write off large sums of money that finance shady systems under the Democratic Party’s control,” he alleged. The incoming Trump administration could review government finances and discover the truth that “Ukraine got very little” compared to the amounts mentioned in public statements, Kulpa claimed…

…If Kiev were to recover all the embezzled money for the Ukrainian budget, the country would have enough for a year, Kulpa said.

What’s In A Name?
The word, “squaw,” originated in the Algonquian languages. The English settlers that lived there borrowed it to reference a young, unmarried, Native American woman. Apparently, over time, the Algonquians became racists, because California (like others have done) plans to rename places that use this “racist term” for a Native American woman. It’s crazy, I know, but it’s not just California. It’s a nation gone mad. (Like renaming teams named to honor Native American bravery and prowess.)

Cause and Effect
If the Ukraine uses American weapons on Russia, Putin is warning he’ll consider it aggression by the U.S. … and act accordingly. Theoretically, NATO could end the war between Russia and Ukraine by simply saying, “No, we are not allowing Ukraine to join NATO.” They won’t. And Biden has green-lighted the use of American missiles on Russian soil. So if we get repercussions we don’t like, don’t blame it all on Putin.

Tolls have been used on roads for a long time, primarily to pay for construction — old and new — decrease travel time, and generate revenue for local government. New York City would like to use it … to decrease traffic — to penalize people for coming into the city. I mean, what could go wrong? “Hey, why is business down? Fewer people are coming in.” Your government working for you.

Can You Say ‘I Don’t Think So’?
Ukraine claims Russia fired an ICBM on the city of Dnipro. If it is true, it’s the first use of ICBMs in the conflict. The West is denying it was an ICBM. Logically, firing an intercontinental weapon at your next door neighbor when you’ve plenty of standard missiles to do the job is just … stupid. And Ukraine fired their American-supplied long-range missiles at Russia just two days before, so … what did they expect? I’m saddened that Ukraine and Russia are fighting. I’m concerned that Ukraine’s leadership may be … less than trustworthy. As the story above says, Russia is promising repurcussions. I’m somewhat concerned that Zelenskyy could lie us into a greater war with Russia. So I’m so glad that we are in the hands of a living God.

If I actually thought a banana duct-taped to a wall was art, I could have saved $6.5 million and duct-taped my own banana to my own wall. But since that’s not actually art, I’ll further save myself the embarrassment of having a banana taped to my wall … that I have to change once a week. A $6.5 million proof that we live in a crazy world.

World War 3? Tensions Continue to Rise in Europe | IFA

Amid rising tensions in Europe, Russia reportedly struck Ukraine with an ICBM missile. This is yet another escalation in the Russia-Ukraine war.

From Breitbart:

The central-Ukrainian city of Dnipro was struck by a single ICBM missile in the early hours of Thursday morning Ukraine claims, part of a broader air raid that state media said also saw one air-launched ballistic missile and seven air-launched cruise missiles fired at the city. The Ukrainian government has not made an official statement on casualties in the “massive attack” but said they managed to shoot down six of the cruise missiles in-flight.

The launch of an ICBM is claimed by Ukraine’s air force to have come from the Astrakhan Oblast, which borders the Caspian Sea. The launch has not been corroborated by Western states observing the conflict, the United Kingdom has called it unconfirmed, for instance. Russia has yet to confirm or deny an conventional explosive armed but nuclear-capable ICBM launch, apparently the latest sabre-rattling move by the state as it bids to discourage further Western involvement in Ukraine.

While claiming there was “no significant damage” caused, nevertheless Ukraine also stated a city medical facility and an industrial area were hit. …

As Europe has been inching closer to war, we have been keeping you updated on all the recent happenings. Earlier this week, we reported on Biden’s decision to greenlight Ukraine’s use of American missiles inside of Russian territory. On Thursday, we brought you the news that Ukraine had struck Russia with the missiles we sent them. This ICBM attack seems to be a response to that strike.

As tensions rise in Ukraine, multiple countries have begun preparing for the worst. We reported on Tuesday that Sweden, Finland, and Norway are preparing their citizens for the possibility of a nuclear attack. In Asia, Russian ally North Korea has begun preparing for a larger conflict.

From NBC News:

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered his country’s military, munitions industry and nuclear weapons sector to accelerate war preparations to counter what he called unprecedented confrontational moves by the U.S., state media said on Thursday.

North Korea has been expanding ties with Russia, among others, as Washington accuses Pyongyang of supplying military equipment to Moscow for use in its war with Ukraine, while Russia provides technical support to help the North advance its military capabilities.

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the conflict, Germany has been preparing for war.

From The New York Post:

Secret documents revealed Wednesday that Berlin has begun making plans for how it could help deploy as many as 800,000 NATO troops — including Americans — into Ukraine as Russia’s nuclear saber-rattling reaches new heights.

“Operation Deutschland” is a 1,000-page plan to prepare Germany for the possibility of a World War III scenario.

The top-secret papers reportedly detail specific buildings and infrastructure to protect so they can be utilized by the military, and how businesses and civilians should prepare in case of increased threats, according to the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

They also suggested Berlin was preparing a way to push 200,000 military vehicles across German territory should the alliance be required to join Ukraine’s efforts, though further details were kept classified.

Germany has also advised citizens on ways to prepare for the worst by boosting their self-sufficiency through mechanisms including installing diesel generators or even wind turbines, according to the report.

A larger war seems more and more likely with each passing day, but we worship a sovereign God. This is all in his hands, and we can come before him as intercessors to pray for peace. Let’s pray that a larger war does not break out, and that conflict never reaches our shores!

‘The United States Are Pushing the Whole World Into Global Conflict… There Will Always Be a Response’ — Russian President Putin Releases Statement Following Launch of Hypersonic Missile Into Ukraine | The Gateway Pundit

Russian President releases a statement on recent escalations by NATO and the US in the Ukraine War. (Credit: Kremlin.ru)

Russian President Putin released a statement on Thursday following the escalating events this week in the war with Ukraine and NATO.

This came after Ukrainian and NATO forces launched long-range US and British missiles into Russia this week, just days after Joe Biden’s handlers approved of this maneuver.

The Biden regime and his handlers are determined to escalate this conflict into a global crisis just two weeks after President Trump won a decisive victory in the US presidential race.

Putin made the statement on Russian television after Russia launched a hypersonic ballistic attack on Ukraine on Thursday.

Putin said that six U.S.-manufactured ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles struck Bryansk on November 19, followed by a coordinated assault involving British Storm Shadow missiles and U.S.-made HIMARS systems on November 21.

In response, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike on a Ukrainian defense industrial complex in Dnepropetrovsk on November 21.

Putin revealed that the attack included a combat test of a new hypersonic ballistic missile, the Oreshnik, capable of reaching speeds of Mach 10.

The Russian leader issued a stark warning to nations supporting Ukraine with military equipment, suggesting that any escalation could prompt retaliatory strikes on their military facilities.

Putin also criticized the United States for its withdrawal from the INF Treaty in 2019, blaming the move for destabilizing international security. He accused the U.S. of deploying advanced missile systems worldwide under the guise of military exercises, a development he called a grave error.

He emphasized that Russia would notify civilians and foreign nationals in targeted areas before conducting strikes, citing humanitarian concerns. However, he expressed confidence in the invincibility of Russia’s hypersonic missile systems, declaring, “There are no means of countering such weapons today.”

Here is Putin’s full speech via the official website of the President of the Russian Federation:

“I would like to inform the military personnel of the Russian Federation Armed Forces, citizens of our country, our friends across the globe, and those who persist in the illusion that a strategic defeat can be inflicted upon Russia, about the events taking place today in the zone of the special military operation, specifically following the attacks by Western long-range weapons against our territory.

The escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, instigated by the West, continues with the United States and its NATO allies previously announcing that they authorise the use of their long-range high-precision weapons for strikes inside the Russian Federation.

Experts are well aware, and the Russian side has repeatedly highlighted it, that the use of such weapons is not possible without the direct involvement of military experts from the manufacturing nations.

On November 19, six ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles produced by the United States, and on November 21, during a combined missile assault involving British Storm Shadow systems and HIMARS systems produced by the US, attacked military facilities inside the Russian Federation in the Bryansk and Kursk regions.

From that point onward, as we have repeatedly emphasised in prior communications, the regional conflict in Ukraine provoked by the West has assumed elements of a global nature. Our air defence systems successfully counteracted these incursions, preventing the enemy from achieving their apparent objectives.

The fire at the ammunition depot in the Bryansk Region, caused by the debris of ATACMS missiles, was extinguished without casualties or significant damage.

In the Kursk Region, the attack targeted one of the command posts of our group North. Regrettably, the attack and the subsequent air defence battle resulted in casualties, both fatalities and injuries, among the perimeter security units and servicing staff.

However, the command and operational staff of the control centre suffered no casualties and continues to manage effectively the operations of our forces to eliminate and push enemy units out of the Kursk Region.

I wish to underscore once again that the use by the enemy of such weapons cannot affect the course of combat operations in the special military operation zone. Our forces are making successful advances along the entire line of contact, and all objectives we have set will be accomplished.

In response to the deployment of American and British long-range weapons, on November 21, the Russian Armed Forces delivered a combined strike on a facility within Ukraine’s defence industrial complex.

In field conditions, we also carried out tests of one of Russia’s latest medium-range missile systems – in this case, carrying a non-nuclear hypersonic ballistic missile that our engineers named Oreshnik.

The tests were successful, achieving the intended objective of the launch. In the city of Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, one of the largest and most famous industrial complexes from the Soviet Union era, which continues to produce missiles and other armaments, was hit.

We are developing intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles in response to US plans to produce and deploy intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

We believe that the United States made a mistake by unilaterally destroying the INF Treaty in 2019 under far-fetched pretext.

Today, the United States is not only producing such equipment, but, as we can see, it has worked out ways to deploy its advanced missile systems to different regions of the world, including Europe, during training exercises for its troops. Moreover, in the course of these exercises, they are conducting training for using them.

As a reminder, Russia has voluntarily and unilaterally committed not to deploy intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles until US weapons of this kind appear in any region of the world.

To reiterate, we are conducting combat tests of the Oreshnik missile system in response to NATO’s aggressive actions against Russia. Our decision on further deployment of intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles will depend on the actions of the United States and its satellites.

We will determine the targets during further tests of our advanced missile systems based on the threats to the security of the Russian Federation.

We consider ourselves entitled to use our weapons against military facilities of those countries that allow to use their weapons against our facilities, and in case of an escalation of aggressive actions, we will respond decisively and in mirror-like manner.

I recommend that the ruling elites of the countries that are hatching plans to use their military contingents against Russia seriously consider this.

It goes without saying that when choosing, if necessary and as a retaliatory measure, targets to be hit by systems such as Oreshnik on Ukrainian territory, we will in advance suggest that civilians and citizens of friendly countries residing in those areas leave danger zones.

We will do so for humanitarian reasons, openly and publicly, without fear of counter-moves coming from the enemy, who will also be receiving this information.

Why without fear? Because there are no means of countering such weapons today. Missiles attack targets at a speed of Mach 10, which is 2.5 to 3 kilometres per second.

Air defence systems currently available in the world and missile defence systems being created by the Americans in Europe cannot intercept such missiles. It is impossible.

I would like to emphasise once again that it was not Russia, but the United States that destroyed the international security system and, by continuing to fight, cling to its hegemony, they are pushing the whole world into a global conflict.

We have always preferred and are ready now to resolve all disputes by peaceful means. But we are also ready for any turn of events.

If anyone still doubts this, make no mistake: there will always be a response.”

Tucker Carlson on Joe Biden Ramping Up War with Russia: “We’re Watching the Most Evil Thing I’ve Ever Seen in My Lifetime” (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Joe Biden is pushing the West into WWIII before he leaves office.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, Joe Biden and his handlers are moving quickly to ignite World War III before Christmas and before President Trump can be inaugurated and bring peace to the region.

On Sunday, Joe Biden’s regime approved Ukraine’s use of US-made long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia.

The Washington Post reported that Biden will allow Ukraine to use a powerful American long-range weapon for strikes inside Russia, supposedly in response to North Korea’s recent aid to Russia in the form of thousands of troops. Ukraine will be specifically allowed to use the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to hit targets inside Russia.

As The Post notes, ATACMS is a supersonic-guided missile system that can be used with either cluster munitions or conventional warheads. It has a maximum range of about 190 miles.

The Post elaborates that Ukraine is expected to focus on and around the Kursk region at first but could expand its targets.

On Tuesday, Ukraine fired six US-made long-range missiles inside Russia. The first Ukrainian strike targeted the border region of Bryansk in Russia.

According to BRICS News – Five missiles were shot down by S-400 & Pantsir AA systems, one was damaged, its fragments fell in the technical zone of a military facility, causing a fire, Russian Defense Ministry says.

Putin, following reports of Biden’s decision to give Ukraine permission to “long-range” missiles, approved the updated nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation. As part of the new doctrine Russia spelled out that aggression against Russia and its allies by a non-nuclear country with the support of a nuclear state will be considered a joint attack.

On Wednesday morning Joe Biden approved antipersonnel land mines for Ukraine – undoing his previous policy.

Tucker Carlson interviews Glenn Greenwald on Joe Biden’s attempts to ignire World War III.

Also, on Wednesday, Tucker Carlson released his latest interview with Glenn Greenwald on Permanent Washington’s latest move to escalate the War with Russia.

Tucker called Joe Biden’s latest move to arm Ukraine with long-distance US missiles “the most evil thing I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.”

The Deep State doesn’t care. They prefer nuclear war over Trump.

Tucker Carlson:  I think we’re watching the most evil thing I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, which is the lame duck administration leaving the next administration with the World War, with the nuclear conflict, by allowing Ukraine, a proxy state of the United States, to strike within Russia.

I think that people in Washington misunderstand Vladimir Putin, and they think he’s a monarch with absolute power, which is not true. And Russian politics is complex and it’s lively, and Putin is very concerned with his approval rating within Russia. He cannot appear weak. That’s a huge threat to him. He feels that. I can confirm.

If he can’t hide attacks on him by the United States through Ukraine, either on Moscow or big civilian casualties, I think he will have no choice in his view, but to launch a serious response against Ukraine or NATO countries or possibly the United States. It seems like the most reckless thing that’s ever happened in my life.

Glenn Greenwald:  For Joe Biden or whoever’s acting in his name, to do this just two weeks after the country resoundingly rejected governance by the Democratic Party and the administration, and on his way out as an 81-year-old man, knowing that he has about six weeks left in office, to just say, I know that these are massive risks, but I’m going to take them. I’m 81. I don’t really care.

Then to make it so much more difficult for the following administration to do what they promised to do during the campaign, which the American people voted for and wanted, which is to resolve this war. Instead, we’re risking escalation with the world’s largest superpower, nuclear power, over what?

Why Are So Many European Countries Suddenly Instructing Their Citizens To Prepare For War? | End Of The American Dream

It appears that something really big is in the works.  All of a sudden, a number of countries in Europe seem to be really freaking out about what is ahead, and that seems very strange.  The war in Ukraine has been actively raging since February 2022.  So why are so many European nations now telling their people to prepare for war?  What has changed?  Do they know something that we don’t?

On Tuesday, Ukraine fired six long-range missiles that were provided by the United States into Russia.

On Wednesday, Ukraine fired twelve long-range missiles that were provided by the United Kingdom into Russia.

This is literally insane.

What would we do if another superpower was using Canada or Mexico to launch long-range missiles at us?

Needless to say, there would be millions of Americans screaming for us to use nukes against that superpower.

Well, right now there are millions of people inside Russia that want their government to use nuclear weapons against the United States and Europe.

Of course if there is a full-blown nuclear war, there won’t be any winners.  As I pointed out in this video, more than 90 percent of the U.S. population would eventually end up dead.

We should be doing all that we can to find a way out of this mess.

The war in Ukraine is not good for anyone except for the military-industrial complex, and so leaders on both sides should be seeking to sit down at the negotiating table while it is still possible to do so.

But instead of pushing for negotiations, a number of countries in Europe appear to be preparing for war.

For example, on Monday Sweden began to distribute more than 5 million copies of a booklet “advising its citizens how to prepare for war”

Sweden on Monday started to distribute copies of a booklet advising its citizens how to prepare for war, as Nordic countries teach people how to brace for a potential Russian attack.

The 32-page brochure, which is also available in English and several other languages, advises citizens on warning systems, how to seek shelter during an air raid and even psychological and digital security.

Why would Sweden need to prepare for war?

Nobody is going to attack Sweden.

Something doesn’t smell right.

Sweden has not had to fight a war for a very long time, but apparently top Swedish officials believe that this is a very real possibility

Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin made waves in January when he warned: “There could be war in Sweden.”

Sweden’s then army chief Micael Byden also alarmed many when he days later said “Swedes have to mentally prepare for war.”

Sweden has not gone to war in more than two centuries.

Meanwhile, Finland and Norway are also suddenly interested in getting their citizens prepared for war

As Norwegian paper Aftenposten recently reported, Norway’s citizens have also received similar “emergency preparedness” pamphlets because “in the worst case” acts of war could also affect Norway.

Finland’s government, too, has released a digital booklet to prepare citizens for “incidents and crises,” stating that the country “has always been prepared for the worst possible threat, war.”

In particular, Finland has become quite paranoid.

They are actually constructing a 10-foot-tall wall that is going to be 200 km long when it is finally finished…

Finland shares a 1,340-kilometre (830-mile) border with Russia and Helsinki has maintained a higher level of preparedness.

But after Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, Helsinki announced plans to build a 200-kilometre border fence with Russia.

Three meters (10 feet) tall and topped with barbed wire, it is due to be completed by 2026.

Why would the Russians invade Finland?

The Russians have their hands quite full with Ukraine, and that isn’t going to change any time soon.

Once again, something is not adding up.

In Germany, an incredibly detailed document that is a thousand pages long contains intricate plans for a war with Russia

According to a 1,000-page document entitled ‘Operationsplan Deutschland’, Germany would reportedly host hundreds of thousands of troops from NATO countries and serve as a logistics hub for sending huge quantities of military equipment, food and medicine toward the front.

A report by Der Spiegel in the summer said as many as 800,000 soldiers from the security bloc could be hosted by Germany as they transit to posts further East.

The German army is also instructing companies and civilians on how to protect key infrastructure and mobilise for national defence, envisaging a situation in which Russia expands drone flights, spying operations and sabotage attacks across Europe.

Why are they spending so much time and energy preparing for a hypothetical war with Russia?

If the Russians become convinced that an all-out war with NATO is inevitable, they won’t invade Europe with conventional forces.

Instead, they will use their nukes.

And the Europeans won’t be the first to get nuked.

We will.

As I have relentlessly warned my readers, Russia has been preparing to fight a nuclear war with the United States for a long time.

Their strategic nuclear arsenal is far superior to our own, their anti-missile systems are far superior to our own, and the subs that they would use to deliver a devastating first strike are so quiet that we cannot even track them effectively.

So let’s find a peaceful solution to the problem in Ukraine before events spiral completely out of control.

Because right now we are closer to nuclear war than we have ever been, and the death and destruction that a full-blown nuclear war would cause would be unthinkable.

Russia Strikes Back! U.S. Embassy In Kyiv Closes Due To “Specific” Intel Regarding A “Significant Air Attack” | The Economic Collapse

Throughout this very long war, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has continued to operate even though there has been a constant threat of missile strikes and drone attacks.  But now it has closed because it has received “specific information” that the Russians are about to conduct a “significant air attack”.  By the time many of you read this article, that attack may have already happened.  We don’t know exactly when the Russians will strike, and we don’t know what specific targets they will hit, but it appears that they are gearing up for something really big.

On Tuesday, the Ukrainians fired 6 long-range missiles provided by the United States into Russia.

Then on Wednesday, the Ukrainians fired 12 long-range Storm Shadow missiles provided by the United Kingdom into Russia

Ukraine has launched several Storm Shadow missiles at targets in Russia’s Kursk region, the Express understands.

Images posted to Telegram purport to show fragments of the British-French-made missiles after explosions were reported in the village of Marine, Kursk, on Wednesday.

The Russians aren’t just going to sit there and absorb these strikes.

Everyone knew that a response would be coming, and now it appears that response is imminent.

Just a little while ago, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv explained that it has closed due to specific intel that it has received

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has received specific information of a potential significant air attack on November 20. Out of an abundance of caution, the Embassy will be closed, and Embassy employees are being instructed to shelter in place. The U.S. Embassy recommends U.S. citizens be prepared to immediately shelter in the event an air alert is announced.

There are reports that the Russians are preparing to use Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers to strike Ukraine.  There are also reports that indicate that RS-26 long-range missiles may also be used.

These are very serious weapons.

When Joe Biden allowed the Ukrainians to use long-range missiles to strike Russia, we crossed a very important red line.

In fact, one of the reasons why this entire war started in the first place was because the Russians were determined to keep western missiles out of Ukraine.

Just imagine how we would feel if Russian missiles were being staged just south of the border in Mexico and they were being used to hit U.S. cities.

We should not underestimate the anger of the Russian people at this moment.

On Russian television, pundits are openly talking about how nuclear war with the western world appears to be inevitable, but our leaders just keep assuring us that everything is fine.  On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin insisted that the Russians are bluffing and that there is no threat of nuclear war…

Austin insisted on NBC Tuesday night that Russian President Vladimir Putin was bluffing about the use of nuclear weapons despite the fact he approved of a new nuclear weapons doctrine that justifies a nuclear response to any major attack on its territory, even with conventional weapons, by a non-nuclear country backed by a nuclear power.

“We’ve known for several weeks that they were revamping their policy on use of nuclear weapons. As I look at, you know, what they’re doing, and I — I — we watch their strategic forces, you know, very carefully, I don’t see a change in their strategic force posture,” Austin said.

“We’ll continue to remain vigilant in this regard. But at this point, no, I — I don’t see an indication that there’s an imminent intent to — to use nuclear weapons.”

I don’t think that there is an “imminent intent” to use nuclear weapons either, but if we keep pushing the Russians into a corner eventually they will feel like they have no choice.

The Russians would very much like to avoid a nuclear conflict, but over time the warnings that they have been issuing have been taken “less and less seriously” by leaders in the western world…

Putin, who began issuing nuclear threats shortly after invading Ukraine in 2022, may want to add credibility to the repeated warnings.

According to the Telegram channel Rybar, close to the Russian military, “Russia’s latest warnings, like its red lines, are taken less and less seriously. In the face of this, the adversary is reducing Russia’s room for manoeuvre.”

If you were running Russia, what would you do if Ukraine was being used as a launchpad for long-range western missiles that were targeting your cities?

You would probably issue very strong warnings at first, but if those warnings had no effect you would eventually be forced to take action.

Ominously, it is being reported that Vladimir Putin has “mysteriously disappeared from public view” since November 7th…

Vladimir Putin has mysteriously disappeared from public view as his regime issued apocalyptic World War Three nuclear threats over the use of long-range Western missiles by Ukraine against Russian territory.

It is unclear if during the past 12 days of high international tension the Kremlin dictator has been holed up in a hi-tech bunker, unwell, underwent another round of plastic surgery, took a secret holiday or simply chose to remain out of sight. Yet Putin, 72, has not been definitively seen since an appearance at the Valdai Forum in Sochi on November 7 when he congratulated a “courageous” Donald Trump on his election victory and hinted he was ready for talks to end the war in Ukraine, according to the Faridaily Telegram channel, which monitors his movements and appearances.

The good news is that I do not believe that a full-blown nuclear showdown with the Russians is going to happen right away.

It appears that the Russians consider Donald Trump to be the final hope for peace, and so I think that they will delay doing anything drastic until they can negotiate with him.

Donald Trump has said that he wants to end the conflict in Ukraine, but he also doesn’t intend to just give the Russians everything that they want.

Meanwhile, our European allies, most members of Congress, and even some members of his own cabinet will be strongly urging Trump to continue fighting the Russians.

So we shall see what happens.

If the Russians ultimately conclude that they can’t reach an agreement with the Trump administration, all bets are off.

Trump really will be holding the future of our society in his hands, and so let us hope that he makes the right decisions.

World War III Watch: Joe Biden Approves Anti-Personnel Land Mines for Ukraine Three Days After Approving Long Range US Missiles to Strike Deep Inside Russia | The Gateway Pundit

Joe Biden is pushing the West into WWIII before he leaves office.

Joe Biden and his handlers are moving quickly to ignite World War III before Christmas and before President Trump can be inaugurated and bring peace to the region.

According to Reuters the United States expects Ukraine to use the mines in its own territory, though it has committed not to use them in areas populated with its own civilians, the official said. The Washington Post first reported the development.

The mines are designed for use against humans.  Joe Biden just authorized these horrible weapons to blow up humans in Ukraine.

Via Reuters – The United States has provided Ukraine with anti-tank mines throughout its war with Russia, but the addition of anti-personnel mines aims at blunting the advance of Russian ground troops, the official added, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Biden Rushes $275M More In Weapons To Ukraine Before Trump Enters Office | ZeroHedge

There are just two months before President-elect Donald Trump takes office, and Ukraine hawks are feeling the pressure. For them, apparently it’s time to flood Zelensky’s coffers with as much money as possible ahead of the possibility that Trump may cut off the tap, after having on the campaign trail called Zelensky “the greatest salesman on earth”.

“The Pentagon will send Ukraine at least $275 million in new weapons, US officials said Tuesday, as the Biden administration rushes to do as much as it can to help Kyiv fight back against Russia in the remaining two months before President-elect Donald Trump takes office,” The Associated Press reports Tuesday afternoon.

Via Shutterstock.com

And alarmingly, the same report observes that “In rapid succession this week, President Joe Biden gave Ukraine the authority to fire longer-range missiles deeper into Russia and then Russian President Vladimir Putin formally lowered the threshold for using nuclear weapons.”

Contents or details of the new aid package have yet been made public, but there could be more missiles and equipment supporting the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), which was used by the Ukrainians Tuesday against Russian territory, marking a new escalation.

The geopolitical analysis blog Moon of Alabama has zeroed in on why US authorization for ATACMS attacks on Russian soil is such a big deal:

We do not know yet if the new authorized use for ATACMS munition on targets within Russia is only relevant for the cluster ammunition missile type or for high explosive ATACMS missiles with a reach of 300 kilometer.

However, the Russian President Vladimir Putin has correctly pointed out that ANY use of ATACMS requires the involvement of NATO (U.S/UK) assets for acquiring the targeting data and for planning and programming the missile’s mission.

Any use of ATACMS onto Russian proper is thus an act of war by NATO against the Russian Federation. The Russian response to such will be appropriate but may well surface in a theater far from Ukraine.

Indeed President Putin and Kremlin officials have echoed precisely this point of view of late, which is also why Putin signed into effect a new expansion of Russia’s nuclear doctrine.

According to the newly expanded doctrine, in the event Western powers assist another nation in a major attack on Russian soil, those same Western powers will also be held responsible. This can trigger Russian nuclear launch. But so far Russian officials have made it clear that they do not anticipate nuclear war.

Clearly the Kremlin is awaiting patiently the return of Donald Trump to the White House, hoping this will stop NATO’s steady escalation of involvement in the war on Ukraine’s behalf.

Meanwhile, with all that money for Ukraine floating around, and constant transfers of arms, this exchange is important to recall…

BREAKING: Ukraine Reportedly Carries Out First Strike Inside Russian Territory Using US-Made Long-Range Missiles | The Gateway Pundit

The escalation of the war in Ukraine has reached peak level, as Ukraine is reported to have launched western missiles at a target inside Russia, a move that can lead to a potential nuclear retaliation by Moscow.

The first Ukrainian strike targeted the border region of Bryansk in Russia, and it comes just as President Vladimir Putin updated the nuclear doctrine greatly expanding the conditions for using atomic weapons.

Ukrainian forces fired six ATACMS missiles at a facility in the Russian Bryansk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Bloomberg reported:

“Ukraine deployed ATACMS missiles to strike a military facility in the western Bryansk region, RBC Ukraine reported on Tuesday, citing an official in the nation’s military. It was the first known attack following the decision by President Joe Biden’s administration to approve Kyiv’s limited use of the weapons to hit targets inside Russia.

Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a strike on a warehouse in the city of Karachev, detonating ammunition stored at the site some 115 kilometers (71 miles) from the border with Ukraine. Neither the General Staff nor the Defense Ministry would comment on what missiles were used, saying the information is classified.”

Putin updated Russia’s nuclear doctrine.

Putin’s decree allows Russia to fire nuclear weapons in response to a massive conventional attack on its soil, including by drones.

Aggression against itself by a non-nuclear state with the backing of a nuclear power is now considered as a joint attack.

Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russia considers an attack by Kyiv using Western missiles as a strike by a non-nuclear state supported by a nuclear power.

“’The Russian Federation retains the right to use nuclear weapons in the case of aggression using conventional weapons against it’ that poses a critical threat to sovereignty or territorial integrity, Peskov said according to the state-run Tass news service.

The Russian leader has warned the US and its European allies against allowing Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia using Western long-range high-precision weapons, saying this would bring them into direct conflict with his country.”

Ukraine fired its home-made drones deep into Russia for months, but with US missiles, they could hit air bases deep into Russia.

Pray for peace!

Kremlin comments on looming nuclear doctrine change | RT – Daily news by RT

Amendments to the Russian deterrence policy are almost ready and will take effect “as needed”, Dmitry Peskov has said

Changes to Russia’s nuclear doctrine are almost complete and will be formalized “as needed,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told TASS.

The news agency asked on Tuesday about progress made since President Vladimir Putin first announced the amendments in late September, while chairing a Russian Security Council session on the issue.

Putin said the updates were necessary due to the shifting geopolitical landscape. The reviewed doctrine will list more military threats that Russia could counter with nuclear deterrence, he explained.

One key change will be to designate aggression by a non-nuclear state backed by a nuclear one as “their joint attack on the Russian Federation,” Putin stated. Moscow may also treat a mass air attack by a foreign power as meriting a nuclear retaliation, once enemy weapons cross the Russian border, he added.

At the time, Peskov said the announcement was meant as a warning for “hotheads” in the West, who continue to escalate tensions with Russia.

The spokesman’s latest remarks came after US President Joe Biden reportedly gave Kiev permission to use US-donated long-range ATACMS missiles for strikes deep inside Russia. The purported policy change, which has been confirmed by some US allies, but not by Washington, is perceived by Moscow as a significant escalation.

Putin previously said that an attack of that kind could only be conducted with the direct involvement of the nation providing the arms. If carried out, it would mean direct war between a NATO member and Russia, and would trigger an appropriate reaction, he warned.

Putin updates Russian nuclear doctrine | RT – Daily news by RT

The changes were flagged in September amid escalating tensions with NATO

Russian President Vladimir Putin has authorized a new nuclear doctrine, bringing into force changes he first announced in September. The order was published on Tuesday alongside a revised version of the key military document.

According to the new doctrine, Russia may use nuclear deterrence to prevent aggression by hostile powers and military blocs that possess weapons of mass destruction or large arsenals of conventional weapons. Countries that provide their sovereign space for other parties to prepare and launch an attack against Russia are subject to the policy as well.

An attack by a single member of a bloc, including one that does not have nuclear weapons, will be considered an attack by the entire collective. The same would apply where a nation that does not formally belong to a military organization is backed by a nuclear power.

Russia’s goal is to make sure that “a potential aggressor realizes that retaliation will be inevitable” if the country were attacked, the doctrine says. Russian military allies will enjoy the same protection.

READ MORE: Moscow issues long-range missiles warning to West

The document lists ten threats that require counteraction through deterrence, ranging from nuclear arsenals in possession of hostile parties to potential unchecked proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems. Other threats include military buildup near Russian borders, the development of anti-ballistic missile systems, deployment of conventional weapon systems that can strike Russian territory, and potential sabotage plots to cause large-scale environmental disasters.

The list of triggers for nuclear retaliation now includes confirmed intelligence about a massive incoming attack using enemy aircraft, missiles and drones, once such weapons cross into Russian airspace.

The president of Russia remains the official making the decision on whether to use the country’s nuclear arsenal. He also has the authority to communicate his intentions and actions regarding such weapons to foreign nations.

The revised doctrine was published days after US President Joe Biden reportedly granted Ukraine permission to use long-range weapons donated by Washington for strikes deep inside Russia. Putin previously warned that such an attack would constitute a direct war between NATO and Russia.

Russian Officials Believe That “NATO Has Gone To War With Russia” | The Economic Collapse

Now Joe Biden has really done it.  By giving the green light to long-range missile strikes deep inside of Russian territory, he has brought us closer to nuclear conflict than ever before.  As you will see below, Russian officials have become convinced that “NATO has gone to war with Russia”.  I feel like I am watching a slow-motion train wreck that I am powerless to stop.  I have been warning about this for so many years, and now it is here.  Steve Quayle, Henry Gruver, Dumitru Duduman, Marty Breeden and so many others have also warned America about what is coming.  If we stay on the path that we are on, nuclear weapons will be used.  Do we really want to go down that road?

The corporate media here in the United States is trying really hard to convince us that Joe Biden’s decision wasn’t really a big deal.

But the Russians sure do think that it was a big deal

In Moscow, meanwhile, senior lawmaker Leonid Slutsky slammed Mr. Biden, accusing him of deciding “to end his presidential term and go down in history as ‘Bloody Joe’.”

Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov, meanwhile, told Russia’s state-run Tass news agency that Biden’s decision represented “a very big step toward the beginning of the third world war.”

The official newspaper of the Russian state, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, warned “the madmen who are drawing NATO into a direct conflict with our country may soon be in great pain.”

And according to the Washington Post, one former Kremlin official is warning that “Moscow now believes NATO has gone to war with Russia”…

A former Kremlin official told The Washington Post that Moscow now believes NATO has gone to war with Russia and that “they will proceed accordingly.” The official spoke on the basis of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

That is rather chilling.

Of course that language echoes something that Vladimir Putin said himself back in September

Putin had personally warned against the eventuality previously, issuing a warning in September that U.S. permission for Ukraine to fire American-supplied long-range missiles at his country, “would mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European countries, are parties to the war in Ukraine.”

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov referenced that previous statement by Putin when he was specifically asked how the Russian government is viewing the latest developments…

“And here the position of our President, the position of the Russian side, was very clearly and unambiguously formulated by our Head of State in his statement that he made in St Petersburg.

“It says everything very clearly. I simply recommend that you read these words of the President once again.”

Wow.

War with Russia is here.

Sergey Markov was asked if Vladimir Putin would actually use nuclear weapons once long-range missiles start falling deep inside Russian territory, and he warned that in a worst case scenario “nuclear war happens before Christmas of this year”

Asked if Putin would use nuclear missiles in response, Mr Markov said ‘not now’ and said it was more likely that bases in eastern Europe could be hit by smaller, tactical nuclear missiles.

But he added: “I think Biden, Macron and Starmer want escalation which could lead to, from my understanding, in the worst scenario, the nuclear war happens before Christmas of this year.

“Probably you will not be able to say ‘Merry Christmas’ because you will stay in the hole trying to hide away [your] family from the nuclear catastrophe. It can develop very, very quickly.”

Personally, I don’t think that it will happen quite so fast.

But we are definitely on a road that leads to nuclear war.

After Biden’s announcement, U.S. Representative Thomas Massie stated that Biden had just committed an impeachable offense

By authorizing long range missiles to strike inside Russia, Biden is committing an unconstitutional Act of War that endangers the lives of all U.S. citizens. This is an impeachable offense, but the reality is he’s an emasculated puppet of a deep state.

I agree with Massie 100 percent.

But there won’t be a move to impeach Biden now.

Most Republicans in Congress are way too lily-livered to do anything like that.

Donald Trump Jr. was also horrified by Biden’s decision

Trump Jr., 46, tweeted that the “military-industrial complex” is trying to undermine his dad before he takes office by pushing the war further into chaos.

“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” he tweeted.

Yes, Joe Biden is still in the White House, but this was a decision that Donald Trump should have been allowed to make.

Trump needs to come out and immediately denounce what Biden has done, but if he does that he will be accused of “colluding with Putin” and that is something that Trump very much wants to avoid.

But Trump can’t be concerned about what others will think at this point.

We are literally on the brink of nuclear war, and we are running out of time to reverse course.

In fact, Sweden is so concerned about the possibility of nuclear war that it has “issued five million pamphlets warning its citizens to stockpile food and water”…

Sweden has issued five million pamphlets warning its citizens to stockpile food and water – just hours after Volodymyr Zelensky’s chilling video address to Vladimir Putin warned US missile strikes “will speak for themselves.”

If our leaders had any sense, they would be doing the same thing.

But instead, they keep assuring us that the Russians are bluffing and that they would never actually use nuclear weapons.

In the end, we shall see who was bluffing and who was not.

Interestingly, on Monday it was being reported that Internet cables under the Baltic Sea have been “suddenly disrupted”

Two undersea internet cables in the Baltic Sea have been suddenly disrupted, according to local telecommunications companies, amid fresh warnings of possible Russian interference with global undersea infrastructure.

A communications cable between Lithuania and Sweden was cut on Sunday morning around 10:00 a.m. local time, a spokesperson from telecommunications company Telia Lithuania confirmed to CNN.

Did the Russians do that?

Were they trying to send us a message?

I just wrote about how vulnerable our undersea Internet cables are last week.

Cutting two cables is not going to disrupt much, but what if the Russians started cutting dozens of cables?

We really are in uncharted territory.

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail, because right now the road that we are on only leads to pain.

MSM Throws Zelensky Under the Bus, as US Officials Begin Preparing Ukraine for Presidential Election in 2025 | The Gateway Pundit

In a move that would have seemed impossible just a few weeks ago, reports are starting to arise of the US Government preparing to ditch Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and run new elections in 2025.

This was first talked about by Russian media, but now even the MSM is catching on to this possibility.

Sputnik reported a few days ago:

“Washington is considering holding presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2025 amid ongoing hostilities with Russia, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said on Monday.

‘The press office of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia reports that, according to information received by the SVR, the US State Department leadership continues to work out options for replacing the current leadership of Ukraine, if necessary. As one of the ‘legitimate’ ways to eliminate the ‘overly presumptuous’ V. Zelensky, Washington is considering holding presidential and parliamentary elections next year in the context of continued hostilities with Russia’, the SVR said in a statement.”

The US officials would be creating the conditions for starting an electoral campaign in Ukraine.

They mean to use American ‘democratization’ funds and ‘think tanks’ to force Ukraine’s NGOs to advance the initiative.

Western-backed Ukrainian ‘civil activists’ are reportedly about to establish a new pro-US party for the upcoming electoral campaign.

After that, on Monday (12), The Economist also reported:

“For now, there are two dates on Kyiv politicos’ lips: January 20th 2025, the date of Mr. Trump’s inauguration, the first moment for any possible ceasefire and lifting of military law, and May 25th, the earliest mooted date for an election.”

It is not the first time the capital has been filled with rumor – but this is something else.

“Some groundwork appears to have begun. Regional election headquarters are mobilizing, and work on candidate lists is beginning. The representatives of one likely presidential rival to Volodymyr Zelensky say that Ukraine needs elections; but they worry about making a public statement to this effect, fearing a fierce backlash from the presidential office.

If elections were held tomorrow, Mr. Zelensky would struggle to repeat the success of the landslide win he secured in 2019. Nearly three years into the Russian invasion, he is no longer seen as the undisputed war leader he once was. Internal polling seen by The Economist suggests he would fare badly in a run-off against Valery Zaluzhny, the other wartime hero. The former commander-in-chief was dispatched to be ambassador to Britain after falling out with the president last year. He has not made his political ambitions clear yet, though many are urging him to run.”

General Valery Zaluzhny (right) would be a formidable electoral foe to Zelensky.

So, we have The Economist saying that polls give General Zaluzhny a big lead over Zelensky.

Not only that, but a ‘colleague’ of the president floats that he should step aside and ‘keep to his original promise only to serve one term.’

The progressively deteriorating situation on the front lines is sapping the morale of the country, so censorship is rampant.

“The army is censoring the most negative news to avoid fanning flames back home, he says. A senior military official agrees. Even Mr. Zelensky is being shielded from the truth. ‘It’s not even that he’s being kept in a warm bath’, the source says, using a local idiom to suggest the president was being cocooned by his top officials. ‘He’s being kept in a sauna’.”

Ukrainians were disturbed when Trump announced there would be no place in his administration for former secretary of state – and Ukraine backer – Mike Pompeo.

In the Economist report, the Russian demands are presented as ruling out NATO membership and ‘allowing’ Russia to keep the Ukrainian territory that it currently occupies – no mention of denazification, demilitarization, and the protection of the Russian-speaking populations.

“Vladimir Putin holds the initiative, and it looks unlikely that he would offer a ceasefire until several battles are resolved. […] Fighting is also beginning in Zaporizhia province for what Ukrainian intelligence believes will be an assault on the provincial capital, an important industrial hub.”

NYT Finally Admits Russia Is Winning the War, Ukrainians Are Falling Into Despair and Only Have Human Resources for 6 More Months of Fighting | The Gateway Pundit

As we count the hours until the next US Presidential Election, some MSM vehicles are adjusting their Ukraine war reporting away from a more brazen propaganda narrative and more to the realities on the ground.

Now it was time for the New York Times to put out a reality-packed article about Russia’s sweeping territorial gains and the absolutely dire situation of Ukraine as a whole and its military in particular.

New York Times reported:

“American military and intelligence officials have concluded that the war in Ukraine is no longer a stalemate as Russia makes steady gains, and the sense of pessimism in Kyiv and Washington is deepening.

The dip in morale and questions about whether American support will continue pose their own threat to Ukraine’s war effort. Ukraine is losing territory in the east, and its forces inside Russia have been partially pushed back.”

Of course, the NYT is still pushing a lot of copium by suggesting that the army that is winning, Russia, has had double troop losses compared to Kiev, the one that’s losing badly. We all know by now that the real numbers are around 3 Ukrainians for every Russian.

The Globalist paper also hints that if the US keeps strong in its aid, Kiev can take advantage of ‘Russia’s weaknesses and expected shortfalls in soldiers and tanks’, and that’s pure wishful thinking.

What NYT can’t say out loud is that the Russian federation Forces are getting larger in size and more efficient tactically.

“U.S. government analysts concluded this summer that Russia was unlikely to make significant gains in Ukraine in the coming months, as its poorly trained forces struggled to break through Ukrainian defenses. But that assessment proved wrong.”

Moscow troops have made sweeping advances in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, made progress in other parts of the front, and retaken about half of the Russian territory that Ukraine occupied in its Kursk adventure.

Russia conquered more territory in October than in any other month in the past two years.

“Gone is the Russian force that repeatedly stumbled as it invaded Ukraine in 2022. The Russian military, according to a senior U.S. military official, has evolved and is ‘on the march’.”

Ukrainian forces are exhausted in almost one thousand days of war, and President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared worn and stressed in meeting with American advisers.

And the pessimistic mood extends to Western allies as well.

Ukraine’s biggest problem now is the absolute lack of troops, but the country hesitates to lower the conscription age to 18 like most countries, ‘worried about the long-term demographic impact.’

“The Pentagon assesses that Ukraine has enough soldiers to fight for six to 12 more months, one official said. After that, he said, it will face a steep shortage.”

Russian Foreign Minister Warns USA and Russia Are Very Close to ‘Direct Military Conflict’ Because of Biden | The Gateway Pundit

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned that the United States and Russia are very close to engaging in “direct military conflict” because of Joe Biden’s actions.

Lavrov issued the warning in an interview published in the Turkish Hurriyet Daily on Friday.

“Under the current president (Joe Biden), who has taken the downward spiral of Russophobia in the US to its logical conclusion, our countries are on the brink of direct military conflict,” Lavrov said, according to a report from the Business Recorder.

When asked if Russia has a preference on the outcome of next week’s presidential election, Lavrov said that the Kremlin does not.

“We have no preference. When the Trump administration was in power, it adopted the highest number of anti-Russian sanctions compared to its predecessors,” the foreign minister said.

“No matter who wins the elections, we don’t think the United States’ anti-Russian bent can change.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin was asked if he had a preferred election outcome in September.

“Our ‘favorite,’ if you can call it that, was the current president, Mr. Biden,” Putin said.

“But he was removed from the race, and he recommended all his supporters to support Ms. Harris. Well, we will do so — we will support her,” Putin said sarcastically, mocking her “expressive and infectious laugh” that shows “she’s doing well.”

BITTER AWAKENING: Ukrainians and the MSM Start To Acknowledge Dire Situation in the Front, as Sweeping Russian Forces Take 27 Settlements in October | The Gateway Pundit

The sweeping offensive by the Russian Federation forces is taking the Ukrainian army to a breaking point for lack of human resources, artillery shells, tanks, planes, drones, and missiles.

But mostly, lack of men.

Russia has captured over 700 square miles in Ukraine since August – and that is a reality that is starting to be openly discussed by the Ukrainians themselves and is also beginning to reach the MSM.

Moscow troops conquered a total of 27 settlements just in the month of October – I checked: Vishnevoye, Verkhnekamenskoye, Ugledar, Zhelannoye Vtoroye, Grodovka, Zolotaya Niva, Zoryanoye Pervoye, Ostrovskoye, Mikhailovka, Levadnoye, Krasny Yar, Nevskoye, Maksimilyanovka, Zoryanoye, Novosadovoye, Nikolaevka, Alexandropol, Izmailovka, Tsukurino, Katerinovka, Gornyak, Dobrovolye, Selidovo, Krugliakovka, Yasnaya Polyana, Leonidovka, Novoukrainka, and Shakhtyorkoye.

While this may look like a meaningless list of foreign names with no significance, it stands to reason that it was a LOT of places, between villages and cities, as the steamroller proceeds unabated by the defenses.

The Red Army is advancing faster than at any time since March 2022, at the onset of the war, and the Kiev forces are facing a tactical crisis in most areas.

Slavyangrad reported:

“Retired Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Oleg Starikov stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing a tactical crisis in many areas of the SMO zone.

‘I am now showing the real situation that is happening. The real crisis was in one direction, and now – in many’, Starikov noted.

He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have problems in the Kupyansk, Chasov Yar, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, Selidovo, Kurakhovo, and Southern directions.”

And worse, Ukrainian command cannot transfer reserves to the points of contact where the situation is critical.

While the forced conscription continues to pursue men of military age trying to evade them, it’s never enough. And among the ones that get caught and sent, MANY are deserting.

It is estimated that as many as 900 Ukrainian soldiers desert per day – that’s two whole battalions.

The Ukrainian deputy Anna Skorokhod said that the number of official deserters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has exceeded 100,000 people.

French channel LCI published numbers of deserters according to their sources in Ukraine military: in 2022, 10 thousand people; in 2023, 25 thousand; in 2024, 70 thousand people. A total of 105,000 people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine were officially declared deserters.

A militant of the Azov Nazi Brigades, Roman Ponomarenko, has said that the number of fugitives from the Ukrainian Armed Forces tends to increase sharply.

Lord Bebo reported:

“[Ponomarenko] says so few people are fleeing from the Ukrainian Armed Forces because soldiers are NOT aware that NOTHING WILL HAPPEN to them for escaping under current laws.”

It may sound strange, but the unauthorized abandonment of a unit by military personnel (SZCh) was decriminalized by Ukraine.

“The people’s deputies, most of whom have never served in the army, opened a ‘Pandora’s box’ by decriminalizing the first SZCh. Thanks to this, any soldier received a state-guaranteed ‘chance for an attempt’ to escape from the army.

Because if he is detained, nothing will happen to him. Even the time spent in the SZCh will be counted as part of his overall military service.”

So, now, the MSM is crying us a river about the situation in the battlefields. Even with the copes they insist on using, they can’t deny how bad things are going for Kiev.

Bloomberg reported:

“Russia’s army is gaining speed in its advance in eastern Ukraine, seizing more land last week than at any point this year, increasing pressure on Kiev’s U.S. and European allies to bolster its defenses.”

The gain of more than 124 square miles in just a week is gaining attention.

“Russia has captured 1,146 square kilometers in Ukraine since Aug. 6, about a quarter more than in the first seven months of the year, according to Bloomberg Intelligence calculations based on changes recorded by the DeepState map service that’s maintained in cooperation with the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.”

The prospect of peace under unfavorable conditions is becoming inescapable.

Ukrainian officials feel the war is doomed to fail, and more than two-thirds of the citizens now believe ‘it’s time to start peace talks with Russia’.

“Russian troops took over the town of Selydove this week, with the cities of Pokrovsk and Kurakhove among their next targets. Both are important logistical hubs for Ukraine’s defense in the Donetsk region. Should the cities fall into Putin’s hands, it would become another milestone on his path toward taking Ukraine’s entire industrial east.”

“The War Will Be Over When They Cannot Make Any More Money” — A Letter from Odessa, Ukraine — US Patriot Sends an Honest Assessment from the Ukrainian People | The Gateway Pundit

AFU Unit Mazur – Photo: Maksym Mazur / Ukraine Ministry of Defence

The Gateway Pundit received this from our dear friend who is currently in Ukraine. What he describes are war crimes and the victims are the people of Ukraine and Russia.

* * * * * * * * * *

I’m in Odesa, Ukraine, following up on the integrity of humanitarian aid distribution. I have been in-country since late September. I have had all kinds of reactions from sections throughout the nation on the war status. Odesa is a strange-bird—unique in a number of ways, and maybe it’s because of its seaport location. Upon arriving, I was instantly clued to the fact that “Zelensky is not in favor at all.” A polite way of telling me to mind my Ps & Qs in various meetings. But here is a comment that really wounded me. I asked “When do you think the war will be over?” The reply, “When they cannot make any more money.” The implication was that as long as the US continued to send millions and billions over there is no reason to stop.

Basically, the money sent NEVER gets to the troops. I suspect, as I’ve noted previously, that most make a circuitous, untraceable journey back to DC pockets. If this is the truth, then I understand and applaud President Trump’s statement that the war will be “over” even before he is sworn into office.

The military-industrial complex owns this evil. They are excited. The battlefield is a live test zone for weapon development. Real human beings are the test subjects. The “old” weapons are being donated to Ukraine ONLY because they will be replaced with more sophisticated options to kill (and amazing is the admission from the donor nation that these are the old weapons). I have witnessed that the “old” battlefield strategies have evolved into an incredible Sci-fi theatre. It is truly like playing a video game, except human lives are lost.

The tragedy… yesterday I was meeting with groups from Kherson. They are involved in relief efforts and frustrated at the news of the US dollars. One was an American who said, “I’ve written Congress asking WHERE is all of the money you sent? I’m on the frontline and see nothing.” I’ve visited villages where the people are scaping to send money to those from their village who need bullets! So, as has been asked from the beginning, “Where are the millions and billions?” I’ve worked with the government enough to know they really do not place an actual/real cost figure—I’ve been told that certain shipments must be valued at $500K+, and I am to just cook the spreadsheet to get the higher numbers. All of this is so the government can boast of sending XXXX BILLIONS of humanitarian assistance overseas. And the funding for Ukraine’s “military” is a shell game!

And the money-making even profits Churches who show up unload a few things, snap photos, goes back to raise huge amounts of funds to “help” Ukraine!

And the BIG money-maker times will come after the war when “rebuilding” contracts are let. Just wait and see the contractors who are awarded these projects and the inflated costs.

Two days ago, I visited a hospital where those maimed by the war were housed. On one bed was a young man with his wife sitting at the foot of the bed. They could have been my grandchildren! Millions are being sacrificed “until” no more money can be made.

I’ve helped “both” sides… the citizens are not the evil perpetrators but the “ignored disposables.” I’ve been able to help Ukrainian citizens more than Russian because getting assistance into RU is very difficult. Thanks to some UA contacts we have helped “under the table” with various relief deliveries.

A recent article suggests that if the war continues into 20025 the RU will have ONE-MILLION casualties by next August. No number for the UA side.

And now I read where a US Republican senator is saying we need US advisors and private contractors on the ground (as if they’ve not been here all along). This public demand (coming from a “R”) steps up the US presence.

Just had to vent… I pray daily for God’s Justice to strike!
