Last week’s surprise release of a draft Ukraine war peace plan has raised hopes that the nearly three-year bloody conflict may finally come to an end. Ukraine has suffered horrible losses that may change the demographics of that country for decades to come.
If this peace plan can be negotiated in a way that satisfies all sides and the guns finally go silent, I will be the first to cheer.
However, the continued failure to understand the nature and origin of the current conflict leaves me skeptical that a real peace can be reached this way.
From the Orange Revolution in the early 2000s to the Maidan revolution in 2014, the US and its NATO partners have been interfering in Ukraine’s internal affairs in attempt to manipulate the country into a hostile position toward its much larger and more powerful neighbor, Russia.
We must remember how directly coordinated the 2014 coup was by the United States.
US Senators, including John McCain and Lindsey Graham, were on the main square of a foreign capital demanding that the people overthrow their duly elected government. Victoria Nuland was caught on a telephone call planning who would run the post-coup government.
Outside intervention led us to the terrible situation of today. This peace deal is another chapter in that same intervention, with the US and its partners desperately trying to manage and solve a problem that they created in the first place. Can you solve a problem created by outside intervention with more intervention?
For the entirety of this conflict politicians and the media have been unwavering in blaming Russia entirely for what has occurred. I agree that they’re no angels. But the real villains here are the US neocons and their European counterparts who knew it was suicidal for Ukraine to take on Russia but pushed Ukraine to keep fighting anyway. Early in the conflict a deal was on the table and nearly signed that would end the war, but the neocon former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson demanded that Ukraine keep fighting.
Ukraine is the victim here, I agree. But it is as much a victim of the US and European neocons as of the Russians.
They believed they could put NATO on Russia’s doorstep and face no consequences. If the tables were turned and a hostile China set up a new Latin American military alliance with the US as its designated enemy, would we sit by idly as military bases were constructed on our southern border? I don’t think so.
President Trump promised he would end the war 24 hours after he was elected. It was an unrealistic boast, but he actually could have ended it rather quickly. The antidote to intervention Is non-intervention. Biden drug us into the war, that is true. But Trump could have pulled us out by quite simply ending all US involvement. No weapons, no intelligence, no coordination. No need for sanctions or the threat of sanctions, no need for elaborate peace plans.
A real peace deal would realize that it was always idiotic to believe that Ukraine could stand up to Russia’s war machine – even with NATO’s backing.
It is unimaginably cruel to demand that Ukraine keep fighting our proxy war down to the last Ukrainian.
No 28-point plans can fix this. The real fix is much simpler: walk away.
Brussels has finally been forced to acknowledge what critics—often smeared as ‘Russian propagandists’—have been saying for years: Ukraine’s ruling elite, much of which was installed by Victoria Nuland’s neocons after the 2014 coup, is drowning in corruption, and Zelensky’s inner circle is at the center of the scandal.
EU Justice Commissioner Michael McGrath bluntly warned that Ukraine’s membership bid is effectively frozen unless Kyiv can prove it is willing and able to prosecute its most powerful insiders.
The message represents what is perhaps the sharpest public rebuke from Brussels, signaling that even the Kyiv regime’s most loyal supporters are losing patience with the endless corruption scandals.
The latest crisis erupted when Ukraine’s Western-backed anti-corruption agencies raided the residences and offices of Zelensky’s longtime chief of staff, Andriy Yermak.
By nightfall, Yermak—widely regarded as Zelensky’s closest and most influential adviser—announced his resignation, a political earthquake for a government already under immense strain.
Investigators say they are probing allegations that a network linked to businessman Timur Mindich, a former associate of Zelensky, siphoned off massive sums of money from Energoatom, Ukraine’s state nuclear enterprise.
According to officials, Mindich managed to leave the country just hours before his properties were searched, raising immediate suspicions about which government insider tipped him off.
Commissioner McGrath emphasized that Ukraine, widely regarded as one the most, if not the most corrupt countries in Europe, will receive “no special treatment” and must demonstrate real convictions of high-level offenders—something it has repeatedly failed to do.
Pressed on whether Ukraine is truly meeting the bloc’s corruption standards, McGrath responded with diplomatic vagueness, saying the EU and Kiev enjoy an “open relationship,” but leaving observers unconvinced.
Zelensky, clearly feeling the pressure, announced an internal restructuring and urged citizens to ignore unfolding “speculation.” Critics say Zelensky is in full damage control mode.
His opponents, many of whom have long warned that Zelensky has centralized too much wartime power, argue the scandal proves the need for a unity government to restore credibility.
The timing is unmistakable: as the Trump administration pushes toward a negotiated end to the war, the West is suddenly demanding accountability from a government it once treated as untouchable.
Zelensky has quickly reassigned key responsibilities for talks with Washington, a step analysts say is meant to insulate negotiations from the fallout of Yermak’s exit.
At the same time, Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies say much of the evidence in the Energoatom case remains undisclosed, fueling expectations that additional figures could soon fall.
Even civic groups once aligned with Zelensky are now demanding deeper institutional changes, warning that Ukraine’s government is losing the confidence of its most staunch backers.
For years, skeptics of the war argued that Western aid was enabling a deeply corrupt political class—not strengthening democracy as the mainstream globalist press claims and establishment politicians. Now, after nearly 4 years of war, with well over a million lives having been lost, the EU itself is finally echoing that concern.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky ousted his chief of staff amid a corruption probe to cover his own tracks, a senior Russian diplomat has told RT.
Andrey Yermak, described by the media as Ukraine’s grey cardinal, tendered his resignation just hours after anti-corruption agencies raided his properties on Friday.
Although Yermak has not been charged with a crime, two government ministers resigned earlier this month in the wake of a bombshell $100 million kickback scandal implicating another of Zelensky’s close associates, businessman Timur Mindich.
Zelensky is “well aware that the corruption trail leads to him, despite efforts to portray him as unaware of the crimes,” Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik told RT later on Friday. He argued that the scandal could lead to new charges and “would undermine Zelensky’s ability to remain in power.”
“It was an attempt to buy more time, especially amid negotiations for additional funds with Ukraine’s so-called European partners,” Miroshnik said. As Yermak “has become too toxic,” Zelensky is focused on “staying in power and preserving a regime rife with corruption,” he added.
The EU has been pressuring Ukraine to redouble efforts to fight corruption after eight people were charged with embezzlement in the energy sector, which is heavily reliant on Western aid. Mindich, described by prosecutors as the ringleader, has fled the country to evade arrest. Some opposition politicians allege that Yermak and other top officials from Zelensky’s team were also involved.
European Justice Commissioner Michael McGrath told Politico Europe on Friday that the bloc expects Ukraine to punish those responsible. “There has to be, in every candidate country, a robust system for dealing with alleged high-level corruption cases,” he said.

Kiev’s corruption scandal just got a lot bigger.
In the middle of war operations, the political situation in Ukraine is already fraught with conflict between the anti-corruption agencies and the Kiev regime led by Volodymyr Zelensky.
But today, the corruption scandal takes on a much bigger scale, as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau launches raids at the home and offices of Andriy Yermak, the all-powerful Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the second most powerful man in the country.

ANTI-CORRUPTION RAID TARGETS ZELENSKY’S RIGHT-HAND MAN
Ukraine’s top anti-corruption units – NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau) and SAPO (Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office) – just raided government buildings.
“The country’s National Anti-Corruption Agency (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) are ‘conducting investigative actions (searches) at the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine’, NABU said in a statement. ‘The investigative actions are sanctioned and are being carried out as part of an investigation,’ NABU said in a statement’, the agency added.”
Yermak admitted on Telegram that he is the target of a NABU and SAPO operation.
Several MPs have called for Zelensky’s chief of staff to be sacked amid a massive $100 million energy corruption scandal.
“Both NABU and SAPO alleged that a group, including Ukrainian government officials, were collecting bribes from the state nuclear power company, Energoatom.
The group of officials are said to have collected 10-15% of the value of each contract given, amounting to £75million that was unlawfully given to the tiny group – money that could have been used to help defend Ukraine from Russian attacks.”
Yermak, Zelensky’s grey eminence, has long been rumored to be part of kickback corruption in Energy Companies.
Yermak is said to be the anonymous individual referred to as ‘Ali Baba’ (and his 40 thieves) in wiretapped conversations related to the investigation.
“Yermak has denied involvement in the scheme, telling German newspaper Welt last week: ‘People mention me, and sometimes, absolutely without any evidence, they try to accuse me of things I don’t even know about’.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that the Trump administration’s peace plan could “lay the foundation” for ending the war in Ukraine.
Putin spoke to Russian media and confirmed that Moscow has received the draft proposal from Washington to agree to an end to hostilities by next Thursday.
He also said the plan could serve as the basis for a “final peace settlement.”
“We have this draft; we received it through existing channels of communication with the U.S. administration,” Putin said.
He added, “I believe it can also serve as a basis for a final peace settlement.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that President Donald Trump’s Thanksgiving Day peace proposal could end the war in Ukraine.
The plan is the same 28-point document that was announced Friday.
The Trump administration is urging Ukraine to sign the deal by Thanksgiving, according to Friday reports from The Washington Post and Axios.
Officials warned that U.S. support could be scaled back if Kyiv refuses.
U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll delivered the message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday.
Officials told The Post that the proposal demands major concessions from Ukraine. Those include a reduction of its armed forces and giving up some territory that Russia has not taken by force, but has argued a claim to.
Zelensky asked for changes to the draft on Thursday, but it is unclear which parts could be updated. Under the plan, Zelensky and Trump would sign first, with Russia signing later.
Ukraine would be barred from hosting NATO troops and would need to reduce its military to no more than 600,000 troops.
In return, the plan promises “reliable security guarantees” for Ukraine.
Zelensky has one week to sign the peace or face devastating consequences.
But the main development is undoubtedly the report that the US has ‘threatened to cut intelligence sharing and weapons supplies’ for Ukraine if it doesn’t agree to the framework of the peace deal.
“The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Kyiv was under greater pressure from Washington than during any previous peace discussions, and that the U.S. wanted Ukraine to sign a framework of the deal by next Thursday.
‘They want to stop the war and want Ukraine to pay the price’, one of the sources said.”
The 28-point plan acknowledges the fact that Russia is winning the war and it’s not even close – so it provides that Kiev must cede the rest of Donetsk region, curb the size of its military and abandon any idea of joining NATO.
“A delegation of senior U.S. military officials met with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv on Thursday to discuss a path to peace.
The U.S. ambassador in Ukraine and the army public affairs chief travelling with the delegation described the meeting as a success and said Washington sought an ‘aggressive timeline’ for the signature of a document between the US and Ukraine.”

Leading Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera scandalously refused to publish in full the exclusive written interview with Sergey Lavrov that the Russian Foreign Ministry offered them in order to clarify Russia’s positions and with which they were eager to cooperate until they received the answers from him.
The Russian Foreign Ministry then condemned their decision as “a blatant case of censorship.”
What follows are highlights from his interview so that readers can make up their own minds about it.
Lavrov began by relating how Trump agreed with Putin in Anchorage that Ukraine should be kept out of NATO and that the new ground reality should be recognized
Ukraine, the EU, and the UK immediately tried to manipulate him right after during their White House meeting. The Financial Times then played a complementary role after the next Trump-Putin call in October by speculating that Lavrov’s follow-up call with Rubio ruined their Budapest Summit plans. Putin is still ready to meet with Trump there though.
The next point that Lavrov made was that the specialoperation isn’t about territory but saving the Russian minority’s lives and ensuring his country’s security.
The restraint that Russia has exercised thus far is to spare civilian and military lives. He also reaffirmed Russia’s goals in the special operation and defended wearing a sweatshirt with USSR written on the front during the Anchorage Summit, which he said doesn’t imply a desire to recreate the Soviet Union and was just a display of patriotism.
Moving along, Lavrov said that the Europeans want to indefinitely perpetuate the Ukrainian Conflict because “they have no other way of distracting their voters from sharply deteriorating domestic socioeconomic problems…they are openly preparing Europe for a new big war against Russia and are trying to talk Washington into rejecting an honest and fair settlement.”
He then referenced Russia’s pre-2022 proposal for reforming the European security architecture, which NATO and the EU rejected.
When asked about Russia’s “isolation”, he listed Russia’s wide array of partners across the Global South and some of the high-level events in which his fellow diplomats participated, while dismissing the interviewer’s suggestion that Russia is in an alliance with China and dependent on it. He clarified that they coordinate their positions on key issues and regard one another as equals. Lavrov then ended by saying that a Russian-Italian rapprochement is only possible if Rome abandons its hostile policies.
Lavrov did indeed inject some predictable polemics into his answers, which is his style as anyone who follows him knows, but those aren’t legitimate grounds not to publish his interview. Corriere della Sera has the right to withhold publication of whatever it wants or only release an edited version, but their decision not to publish this interview in full reeks of censorship carried out on the pretext of their editorial standards. They probably didn’t want folks to read his polemics against Ukraine and the West.
In any case, all that they did was inadvertently draw more attention to the same polemics that they presumably wanted to censor after the Russian Foreign Ministry shined a spotlight on this scandal. Corriere della Sera is considered one of Europe’s newspapers of record so this reflects very poorly on them and the continent’s journalism industry as a whole. That’s not surprising for astute observers, but it might make an impression among casual ones who naively assumed that censorship doesn’t exist there.

A corruption scandal involving a long-time ally of Vladimir Zelensky that has forced the resignations of two government ministers has dealt a major blow to the Ukrainian leader’s chances of being re-elected, opposition MP Yaroslav Zhelezhnyak has claimed, citing private internal polling.
Timur Mindich was charged by the Western-backed National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) over an energy sector kickback scheme allegedly involving up to $100 million. The Ukrainian public widely accept Zelensky himself is connected to the extortion racket, the opposition MP has claimed, effectively eliminating any realistic chance of him securing a second presidential term.
Speaking on his online program on Monday, Zhelezhnyak said private surveys he reviewed show Zelensky’s first-round support dropping below 20%. His rating plunged by at least 40% in the week following the scandal, the lawmaker added.
Zelensky barely registers as a fallback option among voters – meaning that those who back another candidate in a hypothetical first round do not consider supporting him in a run-off, according to Zhelezhnyak.
The trajectory is “very bad, most likely politically fatal” for Zelensky. “This scandal has closed the road for a second term…”
Zelensky has refused to transfer or renew his presidential mandate since his term expired last year, citing martial law in the country. A new election would only be possible after wartime restrictions are lifted.
Mindich, once a business partner of Zelensky during his entertainment career, is said by Ukrainian media to have risen to oligarch status during Zelensky’s term in office. The case has prompted speculation that Mindich may be serving as a convenient “fall guy” rather than being the true architect of the alleged scheme.
In recent decades, the U.S. has been involved in a string of disastrous regime change wars. Instead of learning our lesson, it appears that we are on the verge of starting another regime change war. Without a doubt, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is a really bad guy, and his nation produces vast quantities of illegal drugs that end up on the streets of major U.S. cities. But a regime change war in Venezuela would require an enormous commitment of military resources. It would be a huge strategic mistake to commit so much of our military firepower in South America at a time when fighting between Israel and Iran could break out again at any moment, when Russian forces are about to make a major breakthrough in Ukraine, and when the Chinese could make a move on Taiwan if they sense an opportunity to do so. In addition, a regime change war would have very serious implications for our relations with other nations. The Europeans are telling us not to do this, many of our South American allies are telling us not to do this, and the Venezuelans have already reached out to Russia and China for help. If we ignore everyone else and go barreling into Venezuela anyway, the rest of the planet will be very displeased with us.
There is a world of difference between bombing a few drug boats and going to war with a nation that has hundreds of thousands of soldiers and that has a total population of more than 28 million people.

The U.S. military conducted another strike on an alleged drug-trafficking boat on Tuesday, a Pentagon official confirmed to CBS News. The attack targeted a vessel in the Caribbean Sea and killed four people on board.
Since September, U.S. forces have destroyed at least 21 vessels in 20 strikes in international waters, killing at least 80 people. The Trump administration says the operations — the details of which remain sparse — are part of an anti-drug offensive.
There are some very significant questions that need to be answered about the legality of these attacks.
But if this was as far as we went, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal.
Donald Trump is planning strikes on Venezuela within days and has been presented with a suite of military options by his top generals, according to a report.
The president was briefed by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, sources told CBS News.
The commander in chief has not yet made a final decision but action could come as soon as this week, the sources said.
Since a final decision has not been made yet, that means that President Trump could still potentially be swayed one way or the other.
So everyone needs to be making a tremendous amount of noise about this, because the clock is ticking.
Earlier this week, the USS Gerald Ford carrier strike group entered U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility. Southern Command is the primary combatant unit for operations in the Caribbean and South America.
The Ford joins a flotilla of destroyers, war planes and special operations assets that are already in the region.
Those ships are not just going to sit there indefinitely.
Either they are going to take action soon or they are going to go home.
Let us hope that it is the latter.

Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López said Tuesday in a statement that Venezuela is preparing to set a maximum level of alert amid rising tensions with the U.S.
The objective is to place “the entire country’s military arsenal on full operational readiness,” Padrino López said. The preparations include “massive deployment of ground, aerial, naval, riverine and missile forces” with the participation of all security forces and militia.
Padrino said on national television that Venezuela’s leader, Nicolás Maduro, ordered a massive deployment of soldiers — “almost 200,000,” he said — as part of the special operation.
Maduro is not stupid.
He knows that Trump has been after him for a very long time, and Trump’s comments during a recent 60 Minutes interview gave him even more reason for alarm…
Many people both inside Venezuela, including President Nicolas Maduro himself, and observers outside the country believe the increased U.S. military pressure is aimed at forcing Maduro out of office.
When asked in a recent interview with “60 Minutes” if Maduro’s “days were numbered,” Mr. Trump responded, “I would say yeah. I think so, yeah.”
Would the world be a better place without Nicolas Maduro?
Yes.
But as we have seen in Afghanistan and Iraq, a regime change war can drag on for years.
Russia has vowed to stand “ready” to assist Venezuela as Donald Trump ramps up the US military footprint near the South American country in what Washington has characterized as a counter-narcotics operation.
Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov stated the Kremlin is “ready to fully act within the framework of the obligations that were mutually stipulated in this agreement with our Venezuelan friends”, following the nations’ signing of a strategic partnership in May.
I don’t like the sound of that at all.
To what extent is Russia ready to “assist” Venezuela?
Would they just provide arms to the Venezuelans, or would they be willing to go even farther than that?
Instead of going to war with Venezuela, we should really be focusing on ending the war in Ukraine.
The Ukrainians are being pushed out of the absolutely critical fortress city of Pokrovsk, and we are being told that the Russians are now starting to make significant progress in the Zaporizhzhia region as well…
As Ukrainian forces struggle to hold onto the embattled eastern city of Pokrovsk, they are facing increasing pressure about 55 miles to the southwest in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Ukrainian Southern Command on Wednesday said its forces pulled out of the small hamlet of Rivnopillia, the latest in a string of withdrawals in the area since Tuesday. The retreat puts Russian troops a little more than 50 miles east of Zaporizhia, one of Ukraine’s biggest cities with a population of more than 700,000.
The two fronts, in adjacent regions, are related, given Russia’s overwhelming advantage in troop strength and Ukraine’s more limited ability to generate forces to defend both areas. As a result, there are serious questions about how much longer Ukraine can hold onto Pokrovsk and the strategic impact of its potential fall.
Ukraine’s defenses are crumbling, and the Ukrainians understand very clearly that the only way that they can win the war is to drag NATO into it.
On the other side of the globe, the Venezuelans are asking the Russians and the Chinese for help in defending against a potential U.S. invasion.

Zelensky is showing his true colors, and the world media does not like what it sees.
For almost four years, now, the MSM has been painting Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky as the ‘defender of democracy’, a paragon of all virtue, a born-again Winston Churchill.
But in reality, it’s been long known how Zelensky ruled Ukraine by censoring the press, outlawing opposition parties and extending his mandate way beyond May 2024, when it expired.
And don’t even get us started on the fact that Ukraine is packed with real-life, present-day Nazis.
Of course, this lie could not last forever, and we have been reporting the slow and painful awakening of the Western media to Zelensky’s alleged authoritarianism and corruption.

The ‘relentless centralization of authority’ that Zelensky and his powerful head of office (a.k.a. gray eminence) Andriy Yermak are implementing is shocking analysts around the world.
Zelensky and his trusted people are using ‘lawfare’ to intimidate opponents and silence critics.
Take, for example, former President Petro Poroshenko, who was sanctioned and arraigned on corruption charges this year.

For Zelensky to get re-elected, he needs to neutralize every single one of his opponents.
Opponents believe things will only get worse as the country prepares for a possible election next year, with the courts used to ‘clear the field of competitors’.
“Others, including prominent Ukrainian activist and head of the Anti-Corruption Action Center Daria Kaleniuk, argue the president and his coterie are using the war to monopolize power to such a degree that it threatens the country’s democracy.”
As we enter the month of November, a large number of critical puzzle pieces are starting to fall into place. Yesterday, I talked about the civil unrest that anti-Trump groups have planned in Washington DC starting on November 5th. That is one important element of the equation. The drama that is unfolding in the Middle East is another important element of the equation. I will be watching Israel very closely during the weeks ahead. In this article, I want to talk about the looming conflict with Venezuela and how it relates to other pieces of the puzzle.
The Trump Administration has made the decision to attack military installations inside Venezuela and the strikes could come at any moment, sources with knowledge of the situation told the Miami Herald, as the U.S. prepares to initiate the next stage of its campaign against the Soles drug cartel.
The planned attacks, also reported by the Wall Street Journal, will seek to destroy military installations used by the drug-trafficking organization the U.S. says is headed by Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro and run by top members of his regime.
President Trump is denying that any sort of an attack is imminent.

Amid a buildup of American forces in the Caribbean, Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro is reaching out to Russia, China and Iran to enhance its worn military capabilities and solicit assistance, requesting defensive radars, aircraft repairs and potentially missiles, according to internal U.S. government documents obtained by The Washington Post.
The requests to Moscow were made in the form of a letter meant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and was intended to be delivered during a visit to the Russian capital by a senior aide this month.
Maduro, according to the documents, also composed a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping seeking “expanded military cooperation” between their two countries to counter “the escalation between the U.S. and Venezuela.”
This made headlines all over the world when the Washington Post dropped this bombshell on Thursday.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday he had instructed the Defense Department to “immediately” start testing nuclear weapons “on an equal basis” with other nations.
“Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis,” Trump said on Truth Social shortly before his highly anticipated meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. “That process will begin immediately.”
The last confirmed nuclear test by the United States was in 1992, when President George H.W. Bush announced a moratorium on underground nuclear testing. The United States has the ability to resume tests at a federal site in Nevada.
Are we really going to do this?
If I lived anywhere near the test site in southern Nevada, I would be getting out of there.
According to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, the Pentagon plans to move “quickly” to restart nuclear tests…
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon is moving “quickly” on President Trump’s directive to restart nuclear weapons testing to ensure the U.S. has the “most capable” nuclear arsenal in the world.
Hegseth said Friday, during his meeting with Association of Southeast Asian Nations Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn, that the Department of Defense (DOD) will work with the Department of Energy (DOE) on nuclear testing and added that Trump has been “clear” the U.S. needs to have a “credible nuclear deterrent.”
I am 100 percent opposed to this.
If you want to read about a really dark chapter in American history, pick up a book about the vast numbers of innocent people that either died or got incredibly sick after being exposed to the nuclear tests that we conducted in Nevada decades ago.
Those innocent people and their families have never even gotten an apology for what happened to them.
Of course if we begin setting off nukes again, the Russians and the Chinese will inevitably follow suit.

We keep doing things that move us closer to nuclear war.
This has got to stop.
On top of everything else, CNN is reporting that officials at the Pentagon have given the Trump administration “the green light to provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles”…
The Pentagon has given the White House the green light to provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles after assessing that it would not negatively impact US stockpiles, leaving the final political decision in President Donald Trump’s hands, according to three US and European officials familiar with the matter.
As I have discussed previously, Tomahawk cruise missiles are capable of carrying nuclear warheads, and when they are in flight the Russians will not be able to determine whether they are carrying such warheads or not.
We must not give Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, because that really would dramatically raise the risk of a nuclear exchange.
There is one last thing that I wanted to mention today.
Three cases of locally-transmitted Clade I mpox were recently confirmed in California, and the WHO is telling us that this horrifying strain of mpox has now spread to Malaysia, Namibia, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain for the first time…
The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday that 17 countries in Africa have experienced ongoing active transmission of mpox over the past six weeks, with 2,862 confirmed cases, including 17 deaths between September 14 and October 19.
WHO also said that Malaysia, Namibia, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain have detected the Clade Ib mpox(MPXV) for the first time since the agency’s last report.
We will want to monitor these numbers closely.
Those that have had severe cases of mpox say that the pain is the worst that they have ever experienced in their entire lives.
And Clade I mpox is far more deadly than the strain that was widely circulating a few years ago.
I am convinced that pestilence will be a major theme during the months ahead.
Needless to say, war will be a major theme during the months ahead too.
We really are living in apocalyptic times, but even after all the warnings the vast majority of the population still doesn’t understand this.
But as global events continue to accelerate, it won’t be too long before what is happening to us becomes very clear.

Young men are running for their lives.
As the winter approaches in Ukraine – with the terrifying prospect of blackouts and power outages disrupting heating in homes – a huge number of young men are watching the tragedy unfold from safe places, far away from the war.
With the catastrophic number of dead and seriously injured, the ever-growing ‘army’ of deserters and the ghost citizens hiding in their houses from mobilization, the lack of troops has become the main problem affecting the Ukrainian war effort – even more than the lack of weapons, ammo, planes, drones and missiles.
To make things even worse, almost 100,000 fighting-age Ukrainian men have left the country in the past two months, after the Kiev regime eased departure rules for citizens between 18 and 22 years old.
“Poland’s border guard said 99,000 Ukrainian men aged between 18 and 22 had crossed the frontier – the primary route out of the country – since regulations to ensure that Kyiv had enough soldiers were relaxed at the end of August. In comparison, the entire British Army has around 70,000 personnel.”
Young Ukrainians want to avoid conscription at all costs.
Since the beginning of the war, martial law blocked Ukrainian men aged from 18 to 60 from leaving the country.
But, in the fourth year of fighting, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky signed a new rule that permits Ukrainian men to travel abroad before they reach 23.
“The move was part of a shift in conscription policy, which lowered the age at which men were obliged to fight from 27 to 25 because of mounting concerns over manpower shortages on the front lines.
By granting young Ukrainians more freedoms to leave, it was hoped more would return and volunteer to fight at a later date.”
Lack of manpower has become Ukraine’s worst problem.
“Some 45,300 Ukrainian men aged between 18 and 22 entered Poland from January to just before the rule change at the end of August, according to Poland’s border guards. In the next two months, that number more than doubled to 98,500, or 1,600 a day.
In Germany, where Friedrich Merz, the chancellor, is attempting to crack down on lax migration rules, the number of Ukrainian men aged 18 to 22 arriving each week jumped from 19 to more than 1,000 by the middle of September.”

The authoritarian behavior of Volodymyr Zelensky has become impossible to ignore.
An article written by Pavel Lokshin for the German newspaper WELT sharply criticizes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his increasingly authoritarian tendencies.
The report shows how the man lionized by the MSM as ‘a second Churchill’ is in fact consolidating his power through the suppression of political opponents.
“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is consolidating his power. Anyone who stands in his way must give way – most recently the freely elected mayor of the city of Odessa. Zelensky is thus sending a clear signal to other opponents.”
Ukrainians face a hard winter ahead, led by authoritarian Zelensky.
The article comments on the recent dismissal of the elected mayor the of the important Black Sea port of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov.
Zelensky accused him of ‘having a Russian passport’, and the move is seen as a prime example of this authoritarian pattern, just a naked intimidation tactic aimed at silencing dissent.
“Zelenskyy’s decision to remove the mayor, who was democratically elected, underscores a troubling trend: the prioritization of loyalty over electoral legitimacy.
In a time of war, such moves may be justified by some as necessary for unity, but they erode the foundations of the democracy Ukraine is fighting to preserve.”
Even local press is talking about it.
All these actions reflect a broader erosion of democratic norms in Ukraine amid wartime pressures.
Zelenskyy’s behavior in fact risks undermining the very principles the country claims to defend.
“Critics within Ukraine and abroad have long warned of this slide toward authoritarianism, yet international support continues unabated. Zelenskyy’s charisma masks a regime increasingly intolerant of opposition, raising questions about the long-term stability of post-war governance.”
The next target of Zelensky’s heavy-handed tactics is the mayor of the capital, Kiev.
“The power struggle between the President of Ukraine and the autocratic mayor Vitali Klitschko, in particular, is raging in the capital Kiev. The latter openly speaks of the ‘stench of authoritarianism’ that is felt in the country.”

One of the root causes of the conflict is Kiev’s “extermination of everything Russian” in violation of international law and conventions, the foreign minister has said
Moscow recognizes Ukraine’s independence but not the “Nazi” regime in Kiev bent on the “extermination of everything Russian,” Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
In an interview with Hungarian YouTube channel Ultrahang aired on Sunday, the top diplomat said today’s Ukraine differs greatly from the one whose sovereignty Moscow supported after the fall of the USSR.
“We recognize the independence of Ukraine, no doubt about this, [but] we recognized Ukraine on the basis of its own Declaration of Independence and Constitution… which defined Ukraine as a non-nuclear, neutral, non-bloc country guaranteeing the rights of all national minorities,” Lavrov said.
He stated that following the 2014 Maidan coup, Ukraine turned into “a bluntly Nazi regime” that “shows open contempt for anything Russian,” including its history, media, culture, religion, education, and language.
Lavrov noted that the post-coup Ukrainian government quickly moved to revoke the official status of the Russian language, introducing laws that stripped it of regional recognition and curtailed its public use. He called Ukraine “the only country on Earth” to ban a UN language and said Kiev’s actions had relegated Russian speakers in Donetsk and Lugansk – now part of Russia after referendums – to “second-sort people,” despite constitutional guarantees of minority rights. One of Moscow’s key goals, he added, is to protect these people from persecution.
“We are convinced that we must save people from the Nazi regime – people who have always been part of Russian culture,” Lavrov said, arguing that instead of asking Russia “when will you end the war,” Kiev’s Western backers should first demand that Ukraine restore language and minority rights.
Lavrov also stressed that Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as Kherson, Zaporozhye, and Crimea, are “not actually new” but “historic Russian territories” that remained within the former Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, which later became modern Ukraine.
Moscow has long maintained it seeks a lasting settlement to the Ukraine conflict by addressing its root causes rather than pursuing a temporary pause. Lavrov said the focus should be on resolving the underlying issues and protecting people’s rights, not on reclaiming territories or propping up what he called “political losers” in Kiev.
For a moment, I would like you to imagine what the perfect cruise missile would look like. It would have to be so evasive that no missile defense system on Earth could intercept it. It would also have to possess unlimited range so that it could hit any potential target on the entire planet. In addition, it would also have to be capable of carrying a nuclear warhead so that it could serve as the ideal nuclear deterrent. What I have just described may sound like a fantasy, but now it actually exists.
Needless to say, the United States does not have such a weapon.
But the Russians do.
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, his military has just successfully tested a new nuclear-powered missile called “the Flying Chernobyl”…
VLADIMIR Putin claims Russia has test-launched a new nuclear-powered missile dubbed the “Flying Chernobyl” – and has vowed it will soon be ready for war.
The Russian president said his menacing 9M730 Burevestnik missile – assigned the codename “Skyfall” by Nato – was a “weapon of unlimited range powered by a nuclear engine”.
This isn’t just another missile.
Once you understand what it is capable of, you quickly realize that it has the potential to change everything.
The 9M730 Burevestnik looks like a normal cruise missile, but inside it has a compact nuclear reactor which could allow it to remain in the air “for weeks or even months without refueling”…
Visually, the Burevestnik resembles a traditional cruise missile, with folding wings for compact launch storage. It launches from a ground platform using a solid-fuel booster, then switches to an air-breathing nuclear-powered jet engine once it reaches cruising speed. In theory, this engine heats incoming air via a compact nuclear reactor, allowing the missile to stay airborne for weeks or even months without refueling.
Sources estimate the missile’s operational range at 22,000km, though in practice it may be virtually unlimited. Such a missile could patrol potential conflict zones indefinitely, awaiting launch commands. Upon receiving orders, it could maneuver toward targets from unpredictable vectors, making interception extraordinarily difficult.
You can’t destroy a missile before it is fired if it is never on the ground.
And a missile that can stay in the air “for weeks or even months” could theoretically attack from any direction.
That is a nightmare for military planners.
And it would be exceedingly difficult to perform a successful surprise first strike on an adversary that already has “a guaranteed retaliatory strike” already in the air…
During the October 21 test, according to Russia’s top brass, the missile remained airborne for several hours, covered 14,000km, and executed vertical and horizontal maneuvers associated with defense evasion profiles.
Effectively, the Burevestnik is designed to serve as a ‘doomsday weapon’ – a guaranteed retaliatory strike platform in the event of nuclear war.
The 9M730 Burevestnik flies so fast and it is so evasive that it would be almost impossible to shoot it down.
So we are talking about a weapon with unlimited range that can hit us from any direction and that we have no realistic hope of intercepting.
The Russian leader also claimed it was invulnerable to current and future missile defenses, due to its almost unlimited range and unpredictable flight path.
Kirill Dmitriev, a top Putin aide who was in the U.S. as the video surfaced, said his delegation informed U.S. colleagues of the “successful testing” of the Burevestnik, which he said was an “absolutely new class” of weapon.
Of course this is not the only thing that the Russians have been working on.
Less than a year ago, we saw what the new Oreshnik missile is capable of doing.
And according to leaked documents, the Russians have recently placed large production orders for a number of other highly advanced missile systems…
The report lists the following procurement data:
303 Iskander-K (9M728) cruise missiles.
1,202 Iskander-M (9M723) ballistic missiles in multiple variants.
18 new 9M723-2 missiles, possibly the “Iskander-1000”, with a range of 500–1,000 km.
95 9M729 missiles, featuring an extended range of over 2,000 km.
690 Kalibr (3M14) missiles ordered between 2022–2026, including 56 special 3M14S nuclear variants.
1,225 Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles.
188 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
Up to 240 Zircon (3M22) hypersonic missiles scheduled for 2024–2026.
In total, the leaked records indicate that Russia plans to field around 2,500 new missiles by the end of 2025, confirming a sustained and methodical expansion of its strategic and tactical strike capacity.
The Russians are clearly preparing for the kinetic phase of World War III.
Are we?
On Russian television, pundits are constantly talking about conducting missile strikes on western targets. Here is just one example…
Russia has issued an urgent warning to the UK over the potential of an “overwhelming” nuclear strike if NATO countries supply Ukraine with long-range weapons. A journalist made the stark warning on Russian state media, explaining that the attack would involve air and sea-launched cruise missiles on a “massive scale”.
A video posted on the Russian Media Monitor YouTube page, which supplies clips broadcast by Russian state media, shows military expert Mikhail Khodaryonok outlining the potential Russian response if Western European nations supported Kyiv with long-range weapons. He claimed that the West is “forcing” the Kremlin into taking extreme measures.
We would be wise to settle the war in Ukraine peacefully while we still can.
Unfortunately, President Trump has accused Vladimir Putin of “wasting his time” and is refusing to even meet with him until the Russians are willing to make the sort of compromises that western leaders want…
DONALD Trump is “disappointed” in Vladimir Putin and has ruled out meeting the tyrant until he stops “wasting his time”.
The US president says there will be no in-person summit unless the Russian despot can prove he is serious about wanting peace in Ukraine.
Of course the Russians are not inclined to make major concessions because they are winning the war.
In fact, there are reports that thousands of Ukraine’s best troops have just been encircled, but the Ukrainian government is disputing this…
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy refuted Russia’s information about the encirclement of 5,000 Ukrainian servicemen in the Kupyansk and Pokrovsk directions, calling it a lie aimed at the United States. He noted that enemy activity in these directions this week was lower, and Ukrainian troops are in control of the situation.
If this war continues to drag on, it is just a matter of time before Russia and NATO are directly fighting one another.
Speaking of nuclear war, three citizens of China have just been arrested for trying to illegally purchase 4.4 pounds of uranium…
Three Chinese citizens have been arrested in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, while attempting to illegally purchase 2 kilograms (4.4 pounds) of uranium, the country’s State Security Service said Saturday.
The suspects planned to transport the nuclear material to China through Russia, the security service said in a statement, while also releasing video footage of the detention operation.
“Three Chinese citizens have been detained in Tbilisi while attempting to illegally purchase 2 kilograms of nuclear material — uranium,” the agency said, adding that members of the criminal group planned to pay $400,000 (344,000 euros) for the radioactive material.
Wow.
Were these three individuals working for the Chinese government?
And why were they planning to transport this uranium to China?
Even more importantly, what did they plan to do with it?
For decades, we have been warned about the dangers of nuclear weapons.
Sadly, I believe that we live at a time when they will actually be used.
The clock is ticking my friends, but for the moment ignorance is still bliss for the vast majority of the population.
With a new Trump meeting with Vladimir Putin expected in the next few days, Ukrainian and European officials are diligently leaking to the Mainstream Media to try to muddy the waters, and disrupt the clear chance of progress in the peace process.
This latest round of reports based on anonymous sources say that the meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky ‘turned into a heated confrontation, marked by shouting and profanity from Trump’.
This was initially reported on Financial Times, with slightly different accounts in many other outlets, such as Reuters and Daily Mail.
Instead of selling Zelensky the long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles, Trump would have pressured him ‘to accept Russian peace terms’.
“The meeting between the US and Ukrainian presidents descended many times into a ‘shouting match’, with Trump ‘cursing all the time’, people familiar with the matter said.”
Trump reportedly ‘dismissed Ukrainian frontline maps, tossed them aside’, and warned the Kiev leader that he would lead is country to destruction.
“Trump told Zelenskyy that the Ukrainian leader needed to cut a deal or face destruction. The official said that Trump told Zelenskyy he was losing the war, warning: ‘If [Putin] wants it, he will destroy you.’”
The problem is that those reports appear to be the manipulated accounts of the happenings.

Trump, Zelensky, Putin, and Orbán: peace process has been jump-started again.
Trump is focused on the fact that ‘peace is the prize’.
On the eve of his arrival in Washington DC for a meeting with Donald J. Trump, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky’s world turned upside down.
The US President’s consequential phone call with Russia’s Vladimir Putin and the announcement of a meeting between the two in Hungary has shown Zelensky – and the world – the real face of the Trump administration on the Ukraine war.
The prospect of Zelensky getting the Tomahawk missiles has become very distant, and the MSM is painfully aware of that.
The Telegraph wrote: ‘Trump meeting Putin in Budapest is blow to Europe’, while Reuters published ‘Putin’s Budapest visit makes awkward spectacle for EU, NATO’.
The Associated Press added: ‘Ahead of Zelenskyy meeting, Trump shows signs he might not be ready to send Kyiv Tomahawk missiles’.

“President Donald Trump is set to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for talks at the White House on Friday, with the U.S. leader signaling he’s not ready to agree to sell Kiev a long-range missile system that the Ukrainians say they desperately need.

When hundreds of America’s admirals and generals gathered at a military base in Virginia on September 30th, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth instructed them to “prepare for war”. Unfortunately, he was not exaggerating. We are on the brink of war with Venezuela, President Trump is threatening to take military action if Hamas does not disarm, our relations with China are rapidly deteriorating, and if we give Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine that will put us just one step away from a nuclear war with Russia. I am entirely convinced that the months ahead will be extremely dramatic. Let us hope that global leaders make wise decisions during this time, because a single miscalculation could lead to the unthinkable.
Massive U.S. B-52H Stratofortress bombers have been spotted flying sorties over the southern Caribbean, hovering near Venezuelan airspace in a clear demonstration of military might.
Three aircraft—call signs BUNNY01, BUNNY02, and BUNNY03—were observed on extended flight patterns from Louisiana’s Barksdale Air Force Base in a striking show of force aimed at Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro.
This comes as the Trump administration has stepped up military operations in the region, including a series of recent strikes on vessels off Venezuela’s coast that the U.S. linked to narcotics trafficking. The strikes, which have resulted in multiple fatalities, have drawn condemnation from Caracas and heightened concerns about escalating tensions between the two countries.
Many pundits believe that threatening Venezuela with B-52 bombers is essentially a “final warning” to the regime of Nicolas Maduro.
Trump wants Maduro to step down peacefully, but that isn’t going to happen.
The US military conducted yet another strike on a boat alleged to be trafficking drugs off the coast of Venezuela, killing six people on board, President Donald Trump announced Tuesday.
Trump said that the vessel was “affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization” but did not name any organization or provide evidence to back up the assertion.
“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route,” Trump said on his Truth Social platform. “The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed.”
Bombing ships that are carrying narcotics is one thing.
Bombing Venezuelan territory would be an entirely different thing altogether.
Maduro is extremely concerned about what is coming, and so he is mobilizing his forces…
In a message on the Telegram social network, Maduro said he was mobilizing the military, police and a civilian militia to defend Venezuela’s “mountains, coasts, schools, hospitals, factories and markets.”
State television showed images of armored vehicles deploying in the sprawling low-income Caracas suburb of Petare, a traditional stronghold of socialist support.
Military exercises will also take place in Miranda state, which neighbors Caracas.
If the U.S. goes to war with Venezuela, our relations with other South American nations such as Colombia will be destroyed.
Hopefully Trump will back down while there is still time to do so.
In the Middle East, the situation is very tense.
We are being told that the ceasefire deal in Gaza “hangs by a thread”, and Trump is publicly threatening to “make them disarm” if Hamas does not disarm willingly…
Donald Trump has threatened to forcibly disarm Hamas if they refuse to give up their weapons as the Gaza ceasefire deal hangs by a thread.
‘They will disarm — and if they don’t I’m gonna make them disarm,’ the president told reporters at the White House on Tuesday. ‘They know what I mean.’
Trump warned that America stood ready to bring about Hamas’s disarmament ‘quickly and perhaps violently.’
Hamas is not going to hand over all of their weapons.
That simply is not going to happen.
So how would Trump make Hamas disarm?
Would he send in U.S. troops?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also suggesting that the second phase of Trump’s peace plan may not be accomplished peacefully…
He noted that the conditions of Mr. Trump’s 20-point peace plan “are very clear — it’s not only that we get the hostages out without getting our military out, but that we would subsequently have both demilitarization and disarmament. They’re not the same thing. First Hamas has to give up its arms. And second, you want to make sure that there are no weapons factories inside Gaza. There’s no smuggling of weapons into Gaza.
“We also agreed: Okay, let’s get the first part done. Now let’s give a chance to do the second part peacefully, which is my hope.”
We’ll see what happens.
Hamas officials have already stated that they will never hand over all of their weapons, and so the clock is ticking.
In addition, there is another factor would could potentially cause the peace deal to collapse.
Both the Israeli Hostages and Missing Families Forum, the group which represents the hostage families, and Israel’s defense minister have said the entire peace deal should be shelved until all of the hostages’ remains are returned by Hamas.
The Israel Defense Forces, in multiple statements about the return of hostages since Friday, has said only that “Hamas is required to make all necessary efforts to return the deceased hostages.”
My personal opinion is that Hamas will never be able to locate many of those bodies.
So it will be impossible for all of the remains to be returned, and that may turn out to be a major issue.
I will be watching the Middle East very, very closely during the weeks ahead.
Sooner or later, more war is coming to the region.
Elsewhere, the conflict in Ukraine has escalated to a very dangerous level.
It is being reported that the United States “has for months been helping Ukraine mount long-range strikes on Russian energy facilities”…
Fresh reporting in the Financial Times offers more confirmation that the Trump administration has been escalating the proxy war in Ukraine against Russia, in hopes of forcing Moscow to the negotiating table.
The Sunday report makes clear that “The US has for months been helping Ukraine mount long-range strikes on Russian energy facilities, in what officials say is a coordinated effort to weaken Vladimir Putin’s economy and force him to the negotiating table.”
“American intelligence shared with Kyiv has enabled strikes on important Russian energy assets including oil refineries far beyond the frontline, according to multiple Ukrainian and US officials familiar with the campaign,” it adds.
When we participate in such strikes, we are actively making ourselves a part of the conflict.
In other words, we are already essentially in a state of war with Russia.
We should be very thankful that the Russians have shown a tremendous amount of restraint, but now we are rapidly approaching a point of no return.
On Sunday, Trump made it clear that he is very close to sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine…
President Trump, speaking aboard Air Force One on Sunday, outlined the idea as part of negotiation tactics. He said: “I might say ‘Look: if this war is not going to get settled, I’m going to send them Tomahawks.’”
And I don’t think that it is a coincidence that key Ukrainian leaders just met with representatives of the company that manufactures Tomahawks…
Senior Ukrainian officials visiting the U.S. have met with major U.S. defense companies, including the manufacturer of the Tomahawk missile that Kyiv has repeatedly requested.
Ukraine’s prime minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, Rustem Umerov—formerly Ukraine’s defense minister, now the head of the country’s national security and defense council—as well as Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Olga Stefanishyna met with representatives from Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, said Andriy Yermak, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff.
Giving Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine would be an exceedingly foolish thing to do.
Tomahawks were originally designed to be able to carry nuclear warheads.
And as Dmitry Medvedev has correctly pointed out, “it’s impossible to distinguish a nuclear Tomahawk missile from a conventional one in flight”…
Medvedev’s chilling response on Monday spelled out that this “could end badly for everyone … most of all, for Trump himself,” according to a translation of his Telegram post.
“It’s been said a hundred times, in a manner understandable even to the star-spangled man, that it’s impossible to distinguish a nuclear Tomahawk missile from a conventional one in flight,” Medvedev, who serves as the Russian Security Council Deputy Chair, further noted.
Medvedev here is alluding to Russian strategic doctrine. In a scenario where Moscow leaders believed or suspected a nuclear payload had been launched at Russia, its military would have the right to respond in kind, with nukes.
If Tomahawk cruise missiles are fired toward major Russian cities, will the Russians wait to see what happens when they strike their targets or will they fire back while the Tomahawks are still in the air?
If cruise missiles that are capable of carrying nuclear warheads were fired at Washington D.C. or New York City, what would we do?
You might want to think about that.
The Russians are not bluffing when they warn that we are getting dangerously close to nuclear war.
Apparently referencing nuclear war between Russia and the West, he continued: “You will be destroyed, it’s clear and precise. You don’t have to listen to us, to love us or to giggle… I will tell you once again: We do not need your love, we need your fear. Animal-like horror. It will get to this, it certainly will.”

The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on now for 1,300 days, and if you’ve been following it, it’s a strange little war. It’s almost the kind of war that you would wage if your real target was something bigger than Ukraine. And I believe that’s what we’re seeing. Putin is waging a war he never seems to actually be trying to win, but instead wants to keep the conflict humming along with the dial perpetually set to ‘medium’. Why would he do that? He might do that if he was using Ukraine as the bait for an all-out war with NATO. I’ve been saying that for nearly two years and today it rings truer than ever. What about that ‘peace in the Middle East’? Hamas has already violated the agreement, has begun executing Gazan civilians, and seem to be rearming for more war.

Relatively cheap, lethal, and widespread, the drone has become Russia’s weapon of choice against Ukraine. One Shahed-136 costs up to £38,000 – a huge contrast to the cost of a 9M728 Iskander K cruise missile at up to £1.5million.
Since the start of the year, Russia has fired more than 38,000 Shahed drones to wreak havoc in Ukraine – causing devastation on the battlefield and raining hell on civilian targets. With a maximum speed of 180km/h and a range of up to 2,500km, the drones explode when smashing into targets. But officials today warned drones like these could be headed for the UK’s airspace.
MP Tom Tugendhat, senior advisor to United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) and former Minister of State for Security, told The Sun: “That’s exactly what we were preparing for and I’m sure that the current government are continuing to prepare for.
“The reality is these weapon systems are not just targeting Ukraine, they’re not just targeting Poland. They’re being built to intimidate us.
Last month, NATO allies sprang into action after drones from Russia violated Poland’s airspace – an incident Mr Tugendhat believes was no accident. Radek Sikorski, foreign minister and deputy prime minister of Poland, said it exposed a gap in Europe’s defences – and a further incident could have more disastrous consequences.
RUSSIA is preparing to deploy two million reserve soldiers to fight in the meatgrinder war in Ukraine
The Kremlin is planning to change a Russian law that would allow Vladimir Putin to send hundreds of thousands of soldiers to die on the battlefield. It comes as Putin’s battlefield casualties have soared past the bloody one million milestone after 44 months of meatgrinder war. Ukraine’s fierce resistance forced Russia to pay a mighty toll for every inch of land it has taken, and its advances remain painfully slow. The staggering milestone includes troops who have been killed or wounded so severely that they cannot fight on. Despite the devastating losses which have already ripped a scar in Russian society, Putin is preparing to mobilise more men.
The rule change, which is expected to be backed by the Russian parliament, would allow the country’s reservists to be called up for duty even during peacetime. The amendment is being done because Moscow still calls its invasion of Ukraine a “special military operation” and not a war. This currently restricts the Russian military to using up the two million reservists it has, which Russian defence bosses say are “professional soldiers”.
