In Order For Peace To Be Taken Away, A State Of Peace Must Exist First | End Of The American Dream

Has the stage been set for something really, really big to happen? After I posted my article about the end of the war in Gaza, I started reflecting on what it might mean in the grand scheme of things. Suddenly it dawned on me that in order for peace to be taken away, a state of peace must exist first. That may sound obvious to many of you, but that realization blew me away. I have been waiting for peace to be taken from the Middle East, but a state of peace did not exist until this week. War has been raging for years, but now things are finally calm. I shared this with Meranda, and she was blown away too. Once peace is taken from the Middle East, I expect several other conflicts to dramatically erupt as well. We really are living at a time of wars and rumors of wars, and the months ahead are going to be “interesting” to say the least.

At this hour, it appears that the first stage of President Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza is working.  The following summary comes from CBS News

  • An Israel-Hamas ceasefire went into effect at noon local time (5 a.m. Eastern) Friday as part of the first phase of President Trump’s peace plan to end the war in Gaza, the Israeli military said.
  • Israeli troops have finished withdrawing from parts of Gaza, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff said, starting a 72-hour countdown for Hamas to release all remaining Israeli hostages.
  • Israeli officials say 48 hostages are still in Gaza, including 20 who are believed to be alive. Hamas will release all of the remaining hostages by noon local time on Monday, an Israeli official told CBS News.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is licking his chops, because he is convinced that this peace process will ultimately lead to full international recognition of a Palestinian state

Looking ahead, Abbas declared that it was time to bring an “end to Israeli occupation,” calling for a path towards the establishment of a Palestinian state.

“State of Palestine is ready to work with partners to ensure the agreement’s success,” Abbas stated.

The Palestinian Authority’s foreign affairs ministry echoed similar sentiments on its social media account, writing that “these efforts would be a prelude to reaching a permanent political solution,” and calling for “an end to the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.”

A Palestinian state will eventually be formally established, and that will have enormous consequences.

But first, I believe that there will be more war.

So I will be watching the Middle East very, very carefully during the weeks ahead.

Meanwhile, our relations with China are rapidly deteriorating.

Earlier today I posted an article about the trade chaos that has sent global financial markets tumbling.  After I published that article, President Trump announced that he is going to be imposing an extra 100 percent tariff on all Chinese goods that are imported into the United States on top of all of the existing tariffs…

It has just been learned that China has taken an extraordinarily aggressive position on Trade in sending an extremely hostile letter to the World, stating that they were going to, effective November 1st, 2025, impose large scale Export Controls on virtually every product they make, and some not even made by them. This affects ALL Countries, without exception, and was obviously a plan devised by them years ago. It is absolutely unheard of in International Trade, and a moral disgrace in dealing with other Nations.

Based on the fact that China has taken this unprecedented position, and speaking only for the U.S.A., and not other Nations who were similarly threatened, starting November 1st, 2025 (or sooner, depending on any further actions or changes taken by China), the United States of America will impose a Tariff of 100% on China, over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying. Also on November 1st, we will impose Export Controls on any and all critical software.

It is impossible to believe that China would have taken such an action, but they have, and the rest is History. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Wow.

Right now, the total tariff rate on most Chinese goods is somewhere around 50 percent.

Starting November 1st, the total tariff rate on most Chinese goods will increase to somewhere around 150 percent.

When that happens, all of the nightmare scenarios that I discussed earlier this year will come into play.  Most trade between our two nations will stop, and shortages of certain items will become apparent as 2026 begins.

Of course trade wars often evolve into shooting wars, and I have long warned that a shooting war with China is in our future.

At the same time, a full-blown war between NATO and Russia just continues to creep closer.

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky actually suggested that he would nominate President Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2026 if he gives Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that Ukraine would nominate President Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize if he provides the country with Tomahawk missiles, a step that would mark a significant escalation of the proxy war and risk a major response from Russia. There’s already anticipation for the 2026 prize.

Zelensky told reporters that he and Trump discussed the possibility of the US supplying Ukraine with Tomahawks, which are nuclear-capable and have a range of over 1,000 miles, during their recent meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

President Trump must not take the bait.

As I discussed earlier this week, giving Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine would be an absolutely insane thing to do because it would put us just one step away from nuclear war with Russia.

Speaking of that, the Russians have apparently been developing a new nuclear weapon

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow expects to announce soon a new weapon that it has been developing and testing for its vast nuclear arsenal, the world’s largest, and warned that an arms race is underway.

It comes as the New START treaty between the U.S. and Russia, restricting nuclear weapons, is set to expire in February 2026, and tensions with the NATO alliance escalating sharply over the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Russia already has the most advanced nuclear arsenal in the world by a wide margin, but we are being told that this new weapon will really be something special

“The sophistication of our nuclear deterrence systems is higher than that of any other nuclear state,” state news agency Tass reported Putin as saying, originally in Russian. “And we are developing all of this very actively.”

Putin, who was speaking at a press conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, at the end of a summit of former Soviet states, added: “What I spoke about in earlier years is all progressing—we are bringing it to perfection.”

We must avoid nuclear war with Russia.

Unfortunately, leaders on both sides just continue to make all sorts of threats.

This isn’t going to end well.

On our side of the globe, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is so concerned that the U.S. is going to attack his country that he has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has condemned Washington placing Caracas in its crosshairs for a newly resurrected ‘war on drugs’ – which Maduro has said is really all about pursuing regime change.

At a moment of the Pentagon’s largest build-up of forces ever off Venezuela’s coast, Maduro is calling for an emergency UN Security Council meeting to convene, in order to condemn these “mounting threats” from the United States. This has resulted in diplomats indicating that a meeting is indeed set to take place Friday afternoon in New York.

Venezuela’s foreign ministry has said that the US military build-up, and recent strikes against at least four alleged drug-smuggling boats, endangers “peace, security and international and regional stability.”

Maduro wants the security council to hold a formal debate on the crisis and “make recommendations to curb any plans of aggression” on Washington’s part.

Considering everything else that is going on in the world right now, starting a war with Venezuela would not be wise at all.

Hopefully it will not happen.

On top of everything else, we have just learned that the U.S. has signed an agreement “that will allow the Qatari Emiri Air Force to build a facility at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho”…

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday announced a finalized agreement that will allow the Qatari Emiri Air Force to build a facility at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

The agreement, which Hegseth announced alongside Qatari Minister of Defense Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at the Pentagon, will allow Qatari pilots to receive training alongside U.S. soldiers. There are no foreign military bases in the U.S., but some foreign militaries do maintain a presence for training. The Singaporean Air Force also has a presence at the Mountain Home base.

Hegseth said he is “proud that today we’re signing a letter of acceptance to build a Qatari Emiri Air Force Facility at the Mountain Home Air Base in Idaho.”

Seriously?

Why do radical Muslims from Qatar need to be flying military aircraft in the skies above Idaho?

Someone at the Pentagon is definitely not thinking clearly.

Sadly, the truth is that leaders all over the globe are not thinking clearly at this stage.

There is peace for the moment, but it seems clear that it won’t be too long before that peace is suddenly taken from us.

Giving Tomahawk Cruise Missiles To Ukraine Would Be An Absolutely Insane Thing To Do | End Of The American Dream

Do you know why Joe Biden never gave Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine while he was in the White House?  Even at such an extremely advanced state of mental decline, Biden still understood that allowing the Ukrainians to have such missiles would put us right on the brink of nuclear war.  In addition to supplying the missiles, we would have to supply the delivery platforms, and we would literally have to guide the missiles to their targets.  So from Russia’s perspective, these would be American missiles that are fired from American delivery platforms and that are guided to their targets by American personnel.  Most of the time, Tomahawk cruise missiles carry conventional warheads, but they were originally designed to also be capable of carrying nuclear warheads.  So how would the Russians respond if cruise missiles that are capable of carrying nuclear warheads are suddenly rocketing toward their cities?

The Russians possess the best anti-missile systems in the entire world, but it is inevitable that some Tomahawk cruise missiles would get through because they were designed to be extremely evasive

The 5.6-metre- (18.4-foot-) long missile has a range of up to approximately 2,400 km (about 1,500 miles) and can travel as fast as 885 km (550 miles) per hour.

Tomahawks are launched vertically from ships, but they can be launched horizontally from torpedo tubes on attack submarines or from external launchers attached to a submarine’s hull. The missile is powered by a solid propellant during its launch phase. Thereafter it is powered by a turbofan engine that does not emit much heat, which makes infrared detection difficult. It can also elude detection by radar because it has a small cross section and operates at low altitudes. Once it reaches land, the Tomahawk uses inertial and terrain-contour-matching (TERCOM) radar guidance, in which a map stored on the missile’s computer is continually compared with the actual terrain to locate the missile’s position relative to the target. Similarly, the target is identified from a stored image. As the TERCOM scans the landscape, the Tomahawk missile is capable of twisting and turning like a radar-evading fighter plane, skimming the landscape at an altitude of only 30–90 metres (100–300 feet).

Can you imagine what would happen if a Tomahawk cruise missile provided by the United States slammed into the Kremlin?

There would be no going back after that.

But the biggest reason why we must not give Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine is because they were originally designed to be able to carry nuclear warheads

Submarine-launched Tomahawk missiles entered service in 1983 with conventional (i.e., nonnuclear) land-attack and antiship missile variants, as well as with a land-attack missile carrying a nuclear warhead. The nuclear variant has since been retired, and a land-attack cluster-bomb variant that disperses bomblets has been added.

Let me ask you a question.

How would we respond if cruise missiles that are capable of carrying nuclear warheads were heading toward Washington D.C.?

Would we just wait to see what happens when they hit, or would we strike back while they are still in the air?

If you analyze things from that perspective, you will quickly realize why giving Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine would be an absolutely insane thing to do.

Of course the Ukrainians are desperate to get their hands on them, because they know that it will make it much more likely that NATO forces will be dragged into the war.

Joe Biden always refused when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for Tomahawks, but now Zelensky is hoping that Trump will grant his request

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that Kyiv is seeking access to the American-made long-range missile, different variants of which have ranges of up to 1,550 miles, according to the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Russia’s most populous and politically important cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, and a host of important air, naval, oil refining and drone production facilities would be within range if the longest-range version of the Tomahawk is supplied to Ukraine.

Six months ago, there is no way that President Trump would have given Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.

Unfortunately, times have changed and President Trump says that he has “sort of made a decision”

US President Donald Trump said on Monday he is close to deciding on whether to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk long-range missiles, adding that he wanted to see the target list first.

“I sort of made a decision pretty much. I think I want to find out what they’re doing with them, where they’re sending them, I guess. I have to ask that question,” Trump said.

If the American people truly understood what was at stake, they would be going nuts.

We have a very small window of opportunity to avoid war with Russia, and we are totally blowing it.

On Sunday, Vladimir Putin warned that relations between our two countries will be destroyed if the U.S. provides Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles…

“This will lead to the destruction of our relations, or at least the positive trends that have emerged in these relations,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video clip released on Sunday by Russian state television.

Putin also stated that the introduction of Tomahawk cruise missiles would represent a “qualitatively new stage of escalation”

Putin warned that the weapons would mark a “qualitatively new stage of escalation” because Ukraine could not fire them without the U.S. personnel. He suggested, however, that Trump would ultimately decide against their provision because he knew how to listen.

President Trump still has time to step back from the brink, because no Tomahawks have been provided to Ukraine yet.

Let’s hope that he is getting some good advice.

Once Tomahawks have arrived in Ukraine, one Russian lawmaker is warning that their response “will be tough, ambiguous, measured, and asymmetrical”

Andrei Kartapolov, head of the parliament’s defense committee and a former deputy defense minister, said Russia knew how to shoot these missiles down and would target any launchers it detected on Ukrainian soil.

“Our response will be tough, ambiguous, measured, and asymmetrical. We will find ways to hurt those who cause us trouble,” he told the state RIA news agency on Wednesday. “The only problems will be for those who supply them and those who use them; that’s where the problems will be.”

The Russians have already demonstrated what their new Oreshnik missiles can do.

I don’t even want to imagine how much damage they could cause in the heart of Kyiv.

Another Russian lawmaker is suggesting that a major military hub in Poland could be hit if Tomahawks are provided to Ukraine…

Speaking on 60 Minutes, Zhuravlyov, the chairman of the Rodina political party and first deputy chairman of the parliamentary defense committee, said that the U.S. would deliver Tomahawks to Ukraine for strikes on Russian strikes.

He added that Russia needed to show “that we are ready” for an escalation, and that while Moscow was not in conflict with Poland, it would be ready to strike its Rzeszów military hub.

Hopefully that Russian lawmaker is not serious, because an attack on Poland would mean all-out war between Russia and the entire NATO alliance.

We have entered such a dangerous time.

Russian forces have been steadily moving forward, and western leaders have become desperate to do something to alter the trajectory of the conflict.  According to Putin, the Russians have taken almost 5,000 square kilometers so far this year…

Putin, addressing a meeting with Russian top military commanders, said Ukrainian forces were retreating in all sectors of the front. He said Kyiv was trying to strike deep into Russian territory, but it would not help it to change the situation in the more than 3 1/2-year-old war.

“At this time, the Russian armed forces fully hold the strategic initiative,” Putin told the meeting in northwestern Russia, according to a Kremlin transcript.

“This year, we have liberated nearly 5,000 square km of territory — 4,900 — and 212 localities.”

I wish that I could talk to both Trump and Putin and explain to them why peace is so important.

With each passing day, we are getting closer to nuclear war.

And if Ukraine starts firing Tomahawk cruise missiles at major Russian cities, we will be right on the verge of the unthinkable.

If we are going to change course before it is too late, now is the time.

Is A Major False Flag Event Imminent? | End Of The American Dream

Do you feel like we are on the precipice of another major turning point? If someone asked me that question at this moment, I would have to respond in the affirmative. Personally, I am going to be on high alert throughout the entire month of October, because it appears that some really big things could be about to happen. In particular, there is a lot of chatter that a major false flag event could be imminent. The Ukrainians know that the only way that they can win their war with Russia is if NATO joins the fighting, and Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova is alleging that the Ukrainians plan to conduct some sort of an attack in NATO territory and blame it on the Russians…

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has predicted the imminent outbreak of World War III, if Hungarian media reports about Kiev’s plans to stage a false flag operation in Romania and Poland are confirmed.

In her Telegram channel, she drew attention to reports in several Hungarian media outlets about Vladimir Zelensky’s plans to carry out sabotage in Romania and Poland with the aim of blaming Russia.

“His office on Bankovaya Street is preparing its own version of the ‘Gleiwitz incident’ – with the aim of creating a casus belli for a war between Russia and NATO,” she explained. “If all this is confirmed, then we must admit: never in modern times has Europe been so close to the outbreak of World War III.”.

Zakharova is not the only one making such allegations.

In fact, on Tuesday Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service warned that there is a plan for a Ukrainian sabotage group to conduct some sort of an attack in Poland in order to draw “NATO countries into armed conflict with Moscow”

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) issued a statement on Tuesday claiming that Ukraine is planning a false flag attack in the European Union. Moscow says this planned attack involves a Ukrainian “sabotage group” going to Poland posing as Russian and Belarusian special forces for the purpose of “drawing European NATO countries into armed conflict with Moscow.”

“Kiev expects to prompt European countries to respond to Russia as harshly as possible, preferably in a military manner,” the SVR said.

The reason the Russians are revealing what they know is because they are hoping to avert a false flag event by exposing it in advance.

Hopefully they will succeed, because right now we are in a gray zone that exists somewhere between war and peace.

If you doubt this, just consider something that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz just said.

At a conference in Dusseldorf, he openly admitted that “we are no longer at peace”

The German chancellor did not pull his punches when addressing the Düsseldorf conference, outlining the stark future faced by the West.

“Let me put it in a sentence that may be a little shocking at first glance … we are not at war, but we are no longer at peace either,” he said.

He added that Russia was waging a “war against our democracy and a war against our freedom”, as it sought to undermine EU unity.

Yesterday, I listed 9 signs that the U.S. and NATO are preparing for war.

To me, the most ominous development is the fact that the U.S. is strongly considering sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.

Needless to say, the Ukrainians would not be able to operate the Tomahawks on their own.  U.S. military personnel would need to be involved

Should the US deliver Tomahawks to Ukraine, the missiles would have to be operated by either US or UK technicians and would need to be supported by US overhead intelligence to select targets and program the missiles to hit them.

Russia would regard the Tomahawks as a direct US intervention, and in fact there is no convenient way the US could deny operating the weapons. This means that if Trump authorizes the missiles, he also is directing the US military (or surrogate British) to use them against Russia.

We must not do this.

If Tomahawk cruise missiles start slamming into the heart of Moscow, the Russians would go nuts.

But western leaders are desperate to do something to alter the trajectory of the war, because the Russians just keep moving forward.

According to a report that was posted on Zero Hedge, the Russians are now getting very close to taking the city of Kupiansk…

Ukrainian public broadcaster hromadske, citing Andrii Besedin, Head of Kupiansk City Military Administration, on the national joint 24/7 newscast, stated that:

“The situation is critical. In addition to sabotage and reconnaissance groups that have infiltrated or are infiltrating the city, the enemy carries out extensive attacks on the city and the surrounding territory. The proximity of the front line enables them to strike with everything in their arsenal: tanks, mortars, artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems. Guided aerial bombs are being dropped daily on the territory of the Kupiansk hromada. Fibre-optic FPV drones that cannot be jammed by electronic warfare are effectively hunting civilians and vehicles. Every route into and through the city, all logistical routes are, unfortunately, under the watch of enemy drones.”

Besedin added that the city’s infrastructure has collapsed: there is no power, water, gas supply, mobile connectivity or social services. Hundreds of residents have so far refused to evacuate.

This lines up with reports that civilians still in the city are only able to leave on foot and then find transport to the west.  If Kupiansk falls then a large portion of the northeastern front will likely be enveloped by the Russians, allowing them to advance on Kharkiv.

If Kupiansk falls, that will be a major blow to the government in Kiev.

And the more desperate the government in Kiev becomes, the more likely it is that they will decide to do something really stupid.

Meanwhile, it appears that things are about to get very “interesting” in the Middle East.

This week, President Trump unveiled his 20 point plan for peace in Gaza, and that plan was quickly accepted by the Israeli government…

US President Donald Trump laid out his plan for ending the war in Gaza during a White House press conference with visiting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, declaring that Washington is “beyond very close” to reaching a deal after Jerusalem accepted the proposal, while Arab and Muslim countries committed to disarming Hamas.

If Hamas also accepts the plan, the war in Gaza will finally come to an end.

President Trump has indicated that he will give Hamas “three or four days” to make a final decision…

President Trump has given Hamas “three or four days” to agree to his Gaza peace deal or else the Palestinian terror group will face “a very sad end.”

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump touted his 20-point peace deal as the best way to end the two-year-old conflict in Gaza after Israel agreed to the terms yesterday.

“We’re just waiting for Hamas,” Trump said as he presented his deadline.

Hamas should grab this deal.

Unfortunately, it appears that is not going to happen.

According to Reuters, the leaders of Hamas seem to think that this deal contains “impossible conditions”…

The plan specifies an immediate ceasefire, an exchange of all hostages held by Hamas for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, a staged Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas and the introduction of a transitional government led by an international body.

A source close to Hamas told Reuters the plan was “completely biased to Israel” and imposed “impossible conditions” that aimed to eliminate the group.

If Hamas rejects the deal, there will be no more negotiations.

Israel is already promising to “finish the job”, and that means completely eliminating Hamas.

I will be watching the Middle East more closely than ever in the weeks ahead.

Let’s just say that I would not be shocked if some sort of an “unexpected surprise” happens.

So much that I have been writing about for years is now starting to play out right in front of our eyes.

Let us urge our leaders to seek peace, but I have a feeling that all hope for peace is about to be taken from us.

9 Signs That The United States And NATO Are Both Preparing For War | End Of The American Dream

The only way that Russia could possibly be defeated in Ukraine would be if western forces get directly involved in the conflict. Sadly, it appears that events are rapidly taking us in that direction. When long-range missiles that are provided by western countries and that are guided to their targets by western countries start slamming into Moscow, it is likely that the Russians will respond with overwhelming force. That will give western countries all the justification that they need to officially enter the war, and then we will be just one step away from a nuclear apocalypse. The following are 9 signs that the United States and NATO are both preparing for war…

#1 Keith Kellogg has told Fox News that President Trump has given Ukraine authorization to conduct long-range missile strikes deep inside Russian territory…

“Are you saying it is the President’s position that Ukraine can conduct long-range strike into Russia? That that has been authorized by the President?” the Fox News host asked Kellogg.

“I think reading what he has said and reading what Vice President Vance has said as well as Secretary Rubio, the answer is, yes,” Kellogg said in response.

#2 According to the Wall Street Journal, the Pentagon is asking firms that produce missiles for the U.S. military to “double or even quadruple production rates”

The Pentagon, alarmed at the low weapons stockpiles the U.S. would have on hand for a potential future conflict with China, is urging its missile suppliers to double or even quadruple production rates on a breakneck schedule.

The push to speed production of the critical weapons in the highest demand has played out through a series of high-level meetings between Pentagon leaders and senior representatives from several U.S. missile makers, according to people familiar with the matter. Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg is taking an unusually hands-on role in the effort, called the Munitions Acceleration Council, and calls some company executives weekly to discuss it, some of the people said.

#3 It has been confirmed that the U.S. is strongly considering sending long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine…

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has acknowledged that the White House is actively considering proposals to sell Tomahawk missiles to European allies for use in Ukraine.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Vice President Vance said that the Trump administration is “looking at” sending long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, as Washington seeks to ramp up pressure on Moscow to come to the negotiating table and come to a peace agreement to end the bloody conflict.

“It’s something the President’s going to make the final determination on,” Vance said of the Tomahawks. “I’ll let the president speak to it, but I know that we’re having conversations this very minute about that issue.”

Tomahawk cruise missiles can travel 1,000 miles, and they would be a very serious threat to the city of Moscow.

It is expected that Vladimir Putin is expected to address this threat during a “major speech” that he is scheduled to deliver next week…

Vladimir Putin is set to make a “major speech” in what the Kremlin is promising to be an “interesting week”. The announcement comes following remarks by the US Vice President J D Vance on Friday, in which he said Donald Trump was considering a request to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dropped the cryptic message in an interview on Sunday with the Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin. “The President will deliver a fairly major speech next week,” he said. “We will announce what it will be about, as well as exactly when and where. But the week will be interesting.”

It is also being reported that conscription of soldiers for the Russian military has reached the highest level in nine years

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered the conscription of 135,000 men by the end of 2025, the largest conscription drive in nine years.

#4 Denmark is suddenly calling up hundreds of reservists

In Denmark, reservists were urgently called up for service on Sunday, September 28. This decision was made due to drones in Danish airspace, according to TV2.

According to sources cited by the news agency, “several hundred” reservists were called up for service. The summons explicitly states that the decision was made due to incidents involving unidentified drones. Soldiers were instructed to report as quickly as possible.

The outlet’s interlocutors added that the call-up of reservists was carried out to prepare for their possible deployment within Denmark.

#5 NATO forces in the Baltic Sea are in a state of “enhanced vigilance”

A spokesperson for Nato said it has “enhanced vigilance” in the Baltic Sea following the intrusions.

The reinforced measures “include multiple intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms and at least one air-defence frigate” in the region to the west of Russia, alliance spokesman Martin O’Donnell said.

#6 French hospitals have been instructed to prepare for mass casualties by March 2026

French hospitals have been told to prepare a potential armed conflict in Europe by next year, local media reported.

In a letter sent to regional health agencies, revealed by Le Canard Enchaîné , the Ministry of Health asked hospitals to prepare for a “major (military) engagement” by March 2026.

The newspaper warned that between 10,000 and 50,000 men could be expected in hospitals over a period of 10 to 180 days.

#7 Germany is preparing to treat up to 1,000 wounded troops per day

Germany’s armed forces are planning how to treat a potential 1,000 wounded troops per day should a large-scale conflict between NATO and Russia break out.

Moscow has rejected any suggestions it might be preparing for a war with the Western military alliance, but the latest incursions of Russian jets and drones into NATO territory have raised fears of escalation.

Germany’s Surgeon General Ralf Hoffmann said the number of wounded troops in a potential conflict would depend on the intensity of battle and which military units were involved.

#8 On Tuesday, President Trump, the Secretary of War, and every general and admiral in our military will be gathered at a military base in Virginia

President Donald Trump is set to attend Tuesday’s unprecedented all-hands meeting of U.S. military commanders in Quantico, Va., he said Sunday.

As speculation swirls over why generals and flag officers from around the world were summoned, Trump insisted the purpose was celebratory.

“It’s really just a very nice meeting talking about how well we’re doing militarily, talking about being in great shape, talking about a lot of good, positive things. It’s just a good message,” Trump told NBC News.

#9 A fleet of U.S. tankers just made the long journey across the Atlantic Ocean

Flight trackers have spotted a fleet of US air tankers crossing the Atlantic just as Donald Trump prepares to meet with generals and admirals on Tuesday.

Around a dozen KC-135R/T Stratotankers were making the journey on Sunday night, with several en route to RAF Mildenhall – a major Air Force base in England, open-source intelligence (OSINT) accounts reported on X.

The presence of air tankers can indicate that the US or Nato is addressing an urgent military requirement for fighter jet refueling capacity.

The last time we witnessed a deployment of tankers of this magnitude, we bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities

The deployment carries ominous weight, according to three Defense Department sources – two former, one current – who spoke to the Daily Mail on condition of anonymity.

The last time the US moved tankers in comparable numbers was five days before American warplanes struck Iran’s nuclear facilities. Trump is meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday.

Each one of the items in this list is certainly noteworthy.

But when you put them all together, a very alarming picture emerges.

Something is up.

2025 has been a year of war, but the vast majority of the population is simply not prepared for what is coming next.

A nightmare scenario is literally playing out right in front of our eyes, but even at this very late hour most people are still sleeping.

What Is The Real Reason? Why Have Hundreds Of Generals And Admirals Suddenly Been Summoned For A Mysterious Meeting In Virginia? | The Economic Collapse

An “unprecedented” gathering of generals and admirals will be happening in Virginia next week, and the purpose of the meeting is a huge mystery.  This has sparked a frenzy of speculation on social media, but we still aren’t getting any answers.  Hopefully we will get an explanation soon, because things are starting to get really weird.  First the “Department of Defense” was renamed the “Department of War”, and then President Trump boldly declared that Ukraine can win the war against Russia and take back all of the territory that the Russians have conquered.  Of course that wouldn’t be possible unless NATO forces got directly involved.  So are we going to war soon?  There are some that believe that this is the real reason why this mysterious gathering of generals and admirals has been scheduled for next week

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered hundreds of the nation’s top military officers to assemble at a Marine Corps base in northern Virginia next week for an unscheduled meeting, an unusual move that has raised questions inside the Pentagon.

The gathering, set for Tuesday at Quantico, will bring together generals and admirals of one-star rank or higher, along with senior advisers, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to the Associated Press.

The directive did not include a reason for the meeting. The people, who described the move as extraordinary, were not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

Quantico is quite secure.

I have been there myself.

But I think that it is quite foolish to gather all of our military brass in a single location.

Our enemies know exactly where they are going to be, and they could all be taken out in a single strike.

According to CBS News, all we are being told is that Pete Hegseth will be “addressing his senior military leaders”…

“The Secretary of War will be addressing his senior military leaders early next week,” said chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.

The Pentagon has provided no other details about the meeting to either the military leaders or the press.

Isn’t this something that could be handled over a video call?

If I was a senior military official, that is what I would be thinking.

Either Pete Hegseth is wasting everyone’s time, or this is something really big.

A war with Russia would certainly qualify as something really big.  On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov publicly stated that he believes that NATO is already at war with Russia…

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Thursday, per a Public Telegram Board, that NATO and the European Union are waging war against Russia “using Ukraine as a proxy” and are “directly participating” in the conflict. Lavrov’s comments follow repeated Kremlin claims that Western military and financial support for Ukraine amounts to direct hostility toward Russia.

The announcement also comes amid repeated drone incursions into NATO allies’ air space. NATO warned Russia on Tuesday that it was prepared to defend “every inch of allied territory” after Estonia said that Russian fighter jets had violated its airspace last week. The incursion followed a similar incident in Poland earlier this month, where around 20 drones from Moscow entered Polish airspace. Just this week, Denmark reported multiple drone incidents at critical infrastructure points, as a Russian landing ship was discovered lurking off the Danish coast.

Unless the Russians actually want to start something, they need to keep their aircraft out of NATO airspace.

A single incident could potentially change everything.

But the Russians just won’t stop.  In fact, two Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers and two Su-35 fighter jets just flew through the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone

U.S. fighter jets were scrambled Wednesday to identify and intercept four Russian warplanes flying near Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said in a statement.

NORAD said two Russian Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers and two Su-35 fighter jets were flying in the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), which is international airspace that abuts U.S. and Canadian sovereign airspace.

NORAD responded Wednesday by sending an E-3 early warning and control aircraft, along with four F-16s and four KC-135 tanker planes, “to positively identify and intercept” the Russian aircraft in the Alaskan ADIZ.

What in the world are the Russians thinking?

If they keep pulling such stunts, it is just a matter of time before one of their aircraft gets shot down.

In fact, Ursula Von der Leyen just warned that shooting down Russian aircraft is very much “on the table”

Von der Leyen assured Amanpour that the option of shooting Russian aircraft out of the sky is “on the table” – following last week’s alleged drone and jet incursion incidents which took place in Poland, Romania, and Estonia. In each instance jets were scrambled from the NATO countries.

“My opinion is we have to defend every square centimeter of the territory,” von der Leyen told the CNN correspondent. “That means if there is an intrusion in the airspace, after warning, after being very clear, of course the option of shooting down a fighter jet that is intruding our airspace is on the table.”

That’s just great.

Does she not understand what would transpire if that actually happened?

According to Russia’s ambassador to France, if a Russian aircraft gets shot down there “would be war”

NATO potentially shooting down a Russian plane in allied airspace “would be war,” Russian Ambassador to France, Alexey Meshkov, said in an interview with the RTL news channel published on Sept. 25.

The comments come amid surging tensions between Moscow and NATO as the allies accused Russia of multiple airspace violations in recent weeks.

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft violating their airspace, a statement welcomed by many eastern members.

When asked what Russia’s reaction would be in such a case, Meshkov replied that downing a Russian plane would amount to war.

Both sides are being so irrational.

We are closer to war with Russia than we have ever been before, and the Ukrainians are absolutely thrilled about that because they have been trying to draw NATO directly into the conflict for a long time.

Earlier today, it was being reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has gleefully suggested that Russians will soon need “to know where their bomb shelters are”…

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the Kremlin will become a target and Russian officials should check for bomb shelters if Moscow does not stop its invasion of his country, Axios reported Thursday.

“They have to know where their bomb shelters are,” Zelensky told Axios in an interview. “They need it. If they will not stop the war, they will need it in any case.”

Of course it is also possible that the mysterious gathering of U.S. military officials at Quantico next week could have to do with the situation in the Middle East.

Instead of backing down, Iran is rapidly rebuilding their nuclear facilities

Speaking to Sky News in Vienna, the head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, also said there will be no direct talks with the US.

He vowed the damaged facilities would be rebuilt despite the threat of further attacks by Israel.

“It is quite normal that during a military attack on facilities, they incur damage and the infrastructure is destroyed,” he said. “What is important is that science, know-how, technology, and industry are long-standing and deeply-rooted in the history of Iran.”

Personally, I will be watching the Middle East very, very closely during the next several weeks.

If something causes war with Iran to suddenly erupt again, that will tell us a lot.

Another theory that is being floated to explain why so many military officials are being summoned to Virginia next week is that the Trump administration is planning a nationwide crackdown on political violence.

As I detailed yesterday, we have entered a new era of violent domestic terrorism.  There have been so many examples of this in 2025, and President Trump is warning the left that “ultimately it’s going to go back on them”

President Donald Trump warned that Americans on the political right eventually “won’t take it anymore” amid escalating political violence in the United States and suggested they might respond by targeting the left with violence.

“It’s going to get worse and ultimately it’s going to go back on them,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Sept. 25 in response to a question from a reporter. “Bad things happen when they play these games.”

Trump’s remarks came after a gunman opened fire on Sept. 24 at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, killing one detainee and injuring two others. Trump quickly blamed rhetoric from “radical-left Democrats” for the shooting, which came two weeks after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking on a college campus in Utah.

Will we soon see troops on the streets of major cities all over the country?

If so, how will radical leftists respond?

Lastly, there are some on social media that are suggesting that the mysterious meeting that is being held next week has to do with one of the extremely large comets that are now traveling through our solar system.

3I/ATLAS is not supposed to come anywhere near us, and we are only supposed to go through the orbital debris trail of C/2025 R2 (SWAN).

So at this moment it does not appear that either of them is a significant threat to us.

But maybe we aren’t being told everything.

Only time will tell.

Whatever this secret meeting is about, I just wish that they would invite me.  I would love to talk to them about what is really coming.

We really are living in apocalyptic times, and I have a feeling that global events are going to become very “interesting” during the months ahead.

The Most Ominous Thing That A President Of The United States Has Said In My Entire Lifetime | The Economic Collapse

There will be no peace with Russia, and we all know what that means. When I initially learned what President Trump had said about the war in Ukraine, I had a very difficult time believing it. When he was running against Kamala Harris, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to end the war in Ukraine over and over again. That was an extremely popular position, because the vast majority of Americans do not want to end up in an apocalyptic conflict with Russia. But now everything has changed. Trump has been receiving really bad advice from his national security team, and based on that advice he has fully embraced the war in Ukraine. In fact, he now appears to believe that Ukraine can actually win the war and take back all of the territory that Russia has conquered.

I had to verify exactly what Trump said about the war for myself, and so I went directly to his Truth Social account.  When I got there, I read the most ominous thing that a president of the United States has said in my entire lifetime

Ever since I first read this, I have experienced such a mix of emotions.

But at this particular moment, I just feel sad.

I feel like I am watching a great tragedy play out in slow-motion that I am unable to stop.

I have issued very explicit warnings about what will happen if this path is chosen.

Unfortunately, global leaders don’t really listen to people like us.

After Trump posted this extremely alarming message on his Truth Social account, he doubled down on his position during a press appearance

Speaking next to French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, Trump said: “Russia should have stopped the war.”

He added that his once-close rapport with Putin “didn’t mean anything unfortunately.”

Speaking about his Truth Social post, Trump went on: “Most of you have seen the recent statement I put out.

“I’m glad you got it, but I feel that way.

“Let him get that land back, so we’ll see how it works out.”

A lot of people out there have been waiting to see which way things would go with Russia.

Now we know.

When Trump arrived at the United Nations headquarters on Tuesday, the escalator stopped working as soon as he got on it

President Donald Trump turned an awkward arrival at the United Nations headquarters in New York City into a political jab Tuesday during his address to the General Assembly moments after the building’s escalator stopped dead just as he and First Lady Melania Trump stepped on it.

The pair posed briefly for cameras as they arrived before stepping onto the escalator that, to the bemusement of onlookers, ground immediately to a halt as they boarded.

After a moment of confusion, Melania quickly strode up the stalled steps, while Trump followed behind, leaving aides and staffers to take the stairs.

Subsequently, when he delivered his speech to the UN General Assembly the teleprompter did not work properly.  This is something that he commented on during his speech

Trump said elsewhere in his speech that, “All I got from the United Nations was an escalator that on the way up stopped right in the middle,” he alleged, later adding, “These are the two things that I got from the United Nations: a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter. Thank you very much.”

On the exact day when the peace process with Russia was broken, Trump had to deal with a broken escalator and a broken teleprompter at the United Nations.

Is it possible that this was more than just a coincidence?

There was so much hope when President Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

But now it is clear that there will be no peace, and the Russians are not pleased about Trump’s shift in tone at all

The few early reactions trickling out of Moscow on Wednesday demonstrated how deeply Trump’s unexpectedly friendly appearance in New York alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly vexed the Kremlin, which just weeks ago was gloating over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s warm reception in Alaska.

“Russia is in no way a tiger. Still, Russia is more compared with a bear. There are no paper bears,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said to local radio on Wednesday.

In Alaska, the Russians presented their proposal for ending the war.

You could argue that their proposal was not acceptable, but at least they were willing to talk.

The right thing to do would have been to continue negotiations.

Unfortunately, as Scott Ritter has pointed out, Trump has been getting advice from some very questionable people…

Trump has, from the very onset of his presidency, been ill advised by a coterie of foreign and national security officials who, with very few exceptions, are dyed in the wool Russophobes. From his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, to his National Security Advisor (initially Mike Waltz and, after his firing in May, Marco Rubio, wearing to hats ala Henry Kissinger), to his Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, to his CIA Director, John Ratcliffe, and on to his Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessant, Trump has surrounded himself with people who have spent their adult lives loathing Russia and its leadership.

To the extent that Trump has access to advisors who might advocate good relations with Russia, he either dismisses their advice (as is the case with Tulsi Gabbard, his Director of National Intelligence), or nullifies their advice by having a Russophobic counter (as is the case with his Russia Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, whose insights are offset by the anti-Russian positions held by Keith Kellogg.)

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has also been working very hard to sell Trump on the benefits of the war in Ukraine, and he is absolutely thrilled that Trump’s announcement means that we will “continue to sell high end American weapons to NATO for the benefit of Ukraine”…

I would love to know how much money defense contractors have poured into Graham’s campaigns over the years.

There is no possible universe in which Lindsey Graham should have ever been elected to anything.

If Trump keeps listening to warmongers like him, we are all going to be in very deep trouble.

Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to take actions that are intended to provoke such an overwhelming response from Russia that NATO will feel compelled to directly intervene in the war.

For example, the Ukrainians just conducted a large scale drone attack on the Russian port city of Novorossiysk

On Wednesday a major daytime drone attack from Ukraine rocked the Russian Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, which reportedly involved both aerial and sea drones.

The city center was hit, and explosions were also witnessed in the water very near the city. The Novorossiysk Hotel, located about 2 kilometers from the port, was also struck along with several buildings and cars. At least 20 cars were on fire, either from a direct hit or falling debris.

It appears that docked vessels of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet may have been among intended targets, given that earlier in the war Russia had transferred much of its fleet from Sevastopol in Crimea to Novorossiysk.

And we also just witnessed a “massive aerial bombardment on Russia’s Belgorod border region”…

Ukraine has launched a massive aerial bombardment on Russia’s Belgorod border region, with initial reports suggesting major damage and many casualties. The attack comes following Volodymyr Zelensky’s meeting with Donald Trump on the sidelines of the United Nations on Tuesday.

The US President praised Ukraine’s army for its courageous resistance and said it was doing a “very effective job”. A rocket attack is reported to have hit the Frez plant in Belgorod, which produces milling cutters and special tools. The Telegram channel “Pepel” is reporting that eyewitnesses are saying there were many casualties following the missile strike.

The purpose of such attacks is to get the Russians to do something really stupid.

Because if the Russians do something really stupid, NATO may feel forced to directly enter the war, and that is what the Ukrainians have wanted all along.

The longer this war goes on, the more likely it becomes that this is how things will play out.

The Russians are losing patience, and one prominent voice is even suggesting that it would be a “terrible sin” not to use nuclear weapons…

Vladimir Putin has been warned that he would be committing a “terrible sin” by NOT using nuclear weapons in Europe. The astonishing claims were made by Sergei Karaganov, 73, aka Professor Doomsday, honorary chairman of the Russian Council for Foreign and Defence Policy, who claimed that unleashing tactical atomic weapons is the only way to prevent a larger war between the US and Russia.

He becomes the latest Putin acolyte and Kremlin commentator to advocate for a nuclear escalation to the conflict in Ukraine and the stand-off with Nato. The comments come after an apparent change of stance from US President Donald Trump who has indicated that Ukraine could feasibly retake all of its territory lost to Putin’s forces. Karaganov said: “The use of nuclear weapons, in extreme cases, in the most dreadful case, is a terrible sin.

“But not using them and condemning your people and the world to a major war is an even greater sin.

“That is an even more terrible sin.”

There are many thinkers inside Russia that are convinced that NATO will back down once the Russians show that they are willing to use a nuclear weapon.

I very much disagree with that assessment, because I believe that it would just cause NATO to respond in kind.

If even a single nuclear weapon is used in this conflict or in the Middle East, peace will be taken from the Earth.

I hope that you understand what I am saying.

We are so close to the unthinkable, and the vast majority of the population still has no idea where events are taking us.

War Is One Of The Most Important Major Trends To Watch During The Next Several Months | End Of The American Dream

Because the catastrophic wars that are raging on the other side of the globe are not directly affecting our day to day lives, most people in the western world are not paying too much attention to them. But they should be, because they are extremely important. In fact, I believe that war is one of the most important major trends to watch during the next several months. I am particularly concerned about the Middle East, because I have a feeling that we will be seeing some very interesting “surprises” in the region before 2025 is over.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces reportedly moved even deeper into Gaza City

Thousands of Palestinians are continuing to flee Gaza City, as Israel’s major ground offensive aimed at occupying the area enters a second day.

Israel says its aim is to free hostages held by Hamas and defeat up to 3,000 fighters in what it describes as the group’s “last stronghold”, but the offensive has drawn widespread international condemnation.

This military operation has caused tensions in the region to go to sky high levels.

Egypt is extremely angry, and Turkey has completely cut off all relations with Israel.

In this environment, it won’t take much to push events over the edge.

In addition to bombarding targets in Gaza City from the air, the IDF is also sending in “explosive-laden robots” that pack a tremendous punch…

But how does Israel’s military plan to do this? First, as we’ve detailed before, the IDF is utilizing airstrikes involving powerful missiles hitting the bases of high-rise buildings in order to collapse them in their own footprint. But for other buildings and structures in tightly-packed urban areas, there’s increased reliance on explosive-laden robots, or something that might look straight out of Terminator 2 and Skynet.

When these explosive-laden robots explode, they create “mega-blasts” that are so large that they can be heard as far away as central Israel…

The Israeli military commonly refers to them as “suicide APCs” – and they are capable of being driven deep into urban environments before causing huge explosions.

They’ve been able to cause ‘mega-blasts’ so powerful that in some instances they can be heard as far away as central Israel. Palestinians have described “earth-shaking” explosions, with one eyewitness recently telling Middle East Eye that “they are far more devastating than air strikes.”

Gaza’s Government Media Office has said over one hundred of these explosive robots have been used in about the past month alone. Hundreds of residential units and small business buildings have been destroyed.

If Hamas would have just released the hostages, none of this would be happening.

But now it is all over for Hamas, and Gaza City has been utterly destroyed in the process.

Meanwhile, we continue to see very alarming confrontations between NATO and Russia in Europe.  Here is the latest example

NATO jets intercepted two Russian SU-30 warplanes carrying supersonic missiles over the Baltic Sea as Vladimir Putin continues to taunt the West with aggressive shows of Moscow’s military strength.

The Swedish Airforce announced that its JAS 39 Gripen fighters intercepted two Russian combat aircraft believed to be armed with KH-31 missiles, a supersonic anti-radiation weapon designed to destroy ships and air defences units.

An Il-20 signals intelligence aircraft was also identified in the mission and swiftly escorted away.

Some western leaders agree with Volodymyr Zelensky’s plan to establish a European-wide air defense perimeter.

Such a plan would essentially create a no-fly zone over at least part of Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev is warning that such a move would mean war between Russia and NATO

The implementation of the idea to create a no-fly zone over Ukraine and the possibility for NATO countries to shoot down Russian drones would mean war between the alliance and Russia, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.

“Seriously, implementing the provocative idea of Kiev and other idiots to create a ‘no-fly zone over Ukraine’ and allowing NATO countries to down our drones will mean only one thing: NATO’s war with Russia,” the politician wrote on his Telegram channel, commenting on a statement by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

Let us hope that western leaders understand what Medvedev is saying, because I don’t think that the Russians are bluffing.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko claims that she has uncovered an insidious plot to invade Transnistria

Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko has appealed to US President Donald Trump. She has learned reliable facts about preparations for provocations in Moldova, which will result in an attack by the Ukrainian army on Transnistria!

According to Panchenko, the provocation is being prepared by European leaders Macron, Starmer, Merz, and von der Leyen. Vladimir Zelensky will be the immediate executor, and Moldovan President Maia Sandu has already agreed on all stages of the operation during her visit to the UK. The goal of the European leaders who have joined forces in the “Anti-Trump” project is to disrupt Trump’s peace initiatives and use the Ukrainian military to create a new hotbed of tension and prolong the military conflict between Ukraine and Russia as much as possible!

“Zelensky and Macron want American taxpayers to give them money indefinitely. Zelensky plans to attack Transnistria. Russian peacekeepers are stationed there. Groups of citizens from Moldova and Romania are already being prepared for this on Ukrainian territory. They are being helped by citizens of Ukraine and Germany. This information was passed on to me by people from Zelensky’s team. They understand that this will lead to even more war! They don’t want that! They are afraid!” Panchenko said in her address.

Let us hope that this is not accurate, because such a plan would greatly escalate the conflict in Ukraine.

On top of everything else, there has just been yet another incident involving China and the Philippines

Chinese coast guard vessels accused Manila of intruding into its waters and claimed a Philippine ship rammed one of its vessels.

Philippine officials said Chinese water cannons damaged a fisheries bureau boat and injured a crew member.

In a statement posted to X late on Tuesday, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson condemned “China’s aggressive actions in the Philippine EEZ near Scarborough Reef.”

Tensions between the two nations continue to escalate, and it is entirely possible that war could break out at some point.

Needless to say, if military conflict does erupt it will also involve the United States.

On a related note, Taiwan has issued a 29 page handbook that is meant to prepare citizens for a future invasion by China…

The Taiwanese government has released a handbook to teach its citizens what to do if the country is invaded by China.

The 29-page booklet begins by noting that the country’s safety “hinges on our will to defend ourselves” amid the “threat of aggression from China”.

Shen Wei-chih, the director of the All-Out Defense Mobilisation Agency, which is the reserve body for the defence ministry, explained that the government was not releasing the handbook “to create panic”.

For many years, I have been warning about war with Russia, war with China and war in the Middle East.

At the moment, I am watching the Middle East more closely than anywhere else.

So much is starting to happen.

But for now most of the population of the western world is still asleep, and that is extremely unfortunate.

Europe on edge as Putin’s forces gather for huge Zapad 2025 war games feared to be potential rehearsal of invasion as UN security council holds emergency meeting following Poland drone ‘attack’

Europe is holding it’s breath right now, and so is NATO, as together they watch a very energized Russia getting ready for their anti-West war games held every four years known as Zapad. Putin sent up a trial balloon earlier this week by launching a fleet of drones over Poland which, of course, were shot down by the Polish army. Russia is threatening war, and Europe believes him. Wars and rumours of wars everywhere you look, welcome to Zapad 2025. That’s the memo.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:6 (KJB)

Vladimir Putin could have easily won his war with Ukraine, years ago, but that was never his goal. His goal has always been to use the conflict with Ukraine as the bait on the hook to lure NATO into WWIII. While all the other nations, including the United States, plays the ‘short game’, reacting to every nuance, Putin is playing the steely-cold long game, and it is serving him well. If you have ever studied WWI and WWII from a biblical perspective, then you know why WWIII must come. The word ‘Zapad’ means ‘West’, as in the western nations of Europe and the United States. So the ‘Zapad 2025 War Games’ is preparation for war against the West. This is what Russia and Belarus are preparing for, and it’s right in front of your face, clear as day. WWIII is  right around the corner.

NATO’s eastern flank is preparing for Russian war games on its border – with Europe still on high alert from an unprecedented intrusion of drones this week.

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: The Kremlin will hold its sabre-rattling Zapad 2025 exercises with Belarus near Poland and Lithuania from Friday until next Tuesday, September 16. The drills come around roughly every four years. The last, in 2021, led to a massive buildup of forces in Belarus that were used to attack Ukraine several months later.

A former NATO official warned this year’s drills ‘could serve as a cover’ for a military build-up, with tens of thousands of troops expected to attend.

Germany’s chief of defence Carsten Breuer said that NATO would ‘be on our guard’ around the drills as NATO chief Mark Rutte said Russia was rapidly rearming. Rutte warned that coordinated attacks from Russia in Europe and China in Asia could trigger World War Three, Putin distracting NATO with an assault in Europe.

Zapad – meaning ‘West’ – is formally a defensive drill. Troops are expected to prepare repelling an attack, including airstrikes and sabotage, per official reports.

But Russia is expected to bring potentially tens of thousands of troops to rehearse, among other things, using its new nuclear-capable missile on Europe’s frontier.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk closed the border with Belarus over the ‘very aggressive’ nuclear drills. Some will take place just a few miles from NATO borders. Poland is still scrambling to respond to an incursion of 19 Russian drones that crossed over into its airspace overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tusk invoked Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty for the 8th time since NATO’s inception on Wednesday.

It serves as a starting point for major operations and will pave the way for consultations around the perceived threat to territory, independence or security. The U.N. Security Council will also hold an emergency meeting at Poland’s request to discuss the drone incursion, the Polish Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. READ MORE

Europe Is A Powder Keg | ZeroHedge

Authored by J.B.Shurk via AmericanThinker.com,

Americans who don’t spend time in Europe might not fully appreciate what a powder keg the Old World has become.

However bad social relations in the United States now are, they are at least an order of magnitude worse on the other side of the Atlantic.  European self-hatred is dissolving traditional cultural bonds.  Mass immigration is compounding age-old rivalries.

Europe is one spark away from exploding.

Europe is a perennial battlefield.  Many of our ancestors, after all, left the old country to escape religious, economic, and cultural conflicts that had endured for centuries.  Those historic grievances — always simmering in times of peace before boiling over into outright violence — are passed from one generation to the next.  Modern European nations are the product of two thousand years of shifting borders and alliances, and native Europeans trace their family lineages back to regional tribes whose ancient territories do not fit neatly within the politically drawn maps of today.

If you think geographical accents in America make it tricky for a Mississippian or Minnesotan to communicate effectively with an English-speaker from the Bronx, consider that Europe is home to nearly three hundred native tongues.  Switzerland has four national languages — including Romansch, which derives from the spoken Latin of the Roman Empire.  The cornucopia of indigenous languages, dialects, vocabularies, and accents makes it possible for local residents of small towns to recognize “outsiders” immediately.  Even more impressively, they can usually tell — just by listening — which towns a stranger’s grandparents once called home.

Two world wars — both ignited in Europe and responsible for immense European destruction — propelled a mid-twentieth-century political movement calling for the eradication of national borders.  The European intelligentsia who became the founding members of the continent’s fledgling transnational bureaucracy blamed national pride for Europe’s carnage and effectively turned “nationalism” into a dirty word.

Oddly, this was also a time when crumbling empires, such as France and the United Kingdom, were at least tepidly supporting the national independence of former colonies.  Likewise, it was the beginning of a half-century U.S.-led campaign to encourage national revolutions in European countries stuck behind the Soviet Union’s Iron Curtain.  So Western power brokers framed nationalism as a kind of intolerable ethos on par with Mussolini’s fascism and Hitler’s national socialism while encouraging former nations or proto-nations in Central Europe, Africa, and Asia to break away from the respective empires that controlled them.  While Western leaders pushed for the integration of distinct European nations into a single “Union,” they also promoted national independence movements under the rationale that all humans possess a natural right to self-determination.

In the eighty years since the project for European integration began in earnest, those latent contradictions have transformed Europe into a tinderbox with even greater potential energy for self-destruction than existed before WWI and II.  While the bureaucratic ruling class has actively repressed the historic identities of native Europeans, it has flooded the continent with foreigners who are encouraged to retain their own cultural identities.  In this way, a Hungarian or Pole or Dane who celebrates his country’s unique heritage is denounced as a “far-right nationalist,” while a Frenchman who insists that African and Middle Eastern immigrants assimilate to the European way of life is denounced as a “racist” and “bigot.”

This anti-European monstrosity was created deliberately.  Simultaneous suppression of Europeans’ national identities and protections for foreign nationals create a kind of “multiculturalism dynamo” that converts Europeans into something alien.  Stripped of their native religion, culture, and historic customs and forced to praise foreign religions, cultures, and customs taking hold in the West’s civilizational void, Europeans are effectively assimilated within their own lands.  Europeans are taught to despise their own civilization and to bow down before those who seek to replicate a foreign civilization inside Europe.  Europe’s bureaucratic ruling class uses foreigners to beat the Europeanness out of Europeans.

In the United Kingdom, a grassroots movement of ordinary Brits has initiated “Operation: Raise the Colors.”  The strategy is simple: British citizens are encouraged to prominently display and wave the Cross of St. George and Union Jack flags.

What could possibly be offensive or dangerous about raising the flags of England and the United Kingdom?  Nothing.

Yet the globalist Establishment is losing its collective mind.  Leftists insist that the flags should be replaced with something more “multicultural” and that only “far-right racists” would stoop so low as to patriotically raise the country’s flags.  Open-borders politicians are calling the flag-waving “extremist,” “hate-filled,” and “white supremacist.”  In other words, the British people have forced Britain’s “elites” to acknowledge that they have no loyalty to and only antipathy for the United Kingdom.

This rather anodyne form of political speech is proving remarkably effective at exposing globalism’s suicidal contagion.  In London, it is perfectly normal to see so-called “gay pride” flags, “Palestinian” flags, Pakistani flags, Iranian flags, and the flags of almost every third-world nation now offloading its citizens onto the shores of the U.K.  If a British citizen were to express outrage over the fact that a panoply of foreign flags is flown brazenly throughout the capital, constables would intimidate the outspoken “offender” into silence by threatening him with prosecution for imaginary “hate speech.”  Revealingly, however, these same petty tyrants throw hissy fits when native Brits dare “raise the colors” of their own nation’s historic flags.

Similar movements are picking up steam.  Ten years ago, it was more common to see such patriotic displays on the streets of Balkan nations or amid independence parades in the Basque region or other areas of Europe seeking national recognition.  Today it is easy to stumble into a sea of Dutch, Danish, German, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Hungarian, Polish, Czech, or Greek flags when crossing borders.  Eighty years after the European Union began constructing its continental empire, the “colonies” appear eager to reclaim their right to self-determination.

I think it’s fair to say that ordinary Europeans are no longer willing to remain quiet as the bureaucratic ruling class kills what’s left of Europe and hands the carcass to foreign conquerors.  As an American with absolute fidelity to the millennia-long promises of Western civilization, I find these patriotic revivals timely rebuttals to a globalist Establishment that prefers our death.

I cannot tell you how many times I have come across the words of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas translated into one of Europe’s many native languages.  “Do not go gentle into that good night” and “Rage, rage against the dying of the light” show up on message boards like faint heartbeats on an EKG machine.  Many in Europe don’t want to die.  To live, they’ll have to fight.

Now That Poland Has Formally Invoked Article 4, NATO Is Closer To All-Out War With Russia Than Ever | The Economic Collapse

I am sitting here trying to process everything that just happened. I was doing research for this article, and then I got the news that Charlie Kirk had just been shot. I am going to try to find the words to express what I am feeling at this moment, and I will be putting together a full article about this horrifying tragedy later today. Meanwhile, NATO is literally closer to all-out war with Russia than it has ever been before. Last night 19 Russian drones entered Polish airspace, and NATO fighter jets shot down several of them

Polish fighter jets, with help from NATO allies, shot down multiple Russian drones that entered its eastern border early Wednesday, Sept. 10. It was the first time the NATO member directly engaged with Russian military assets in its airspace since Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Polish officials said 19 objects entered its airspace during a large Russian air attack on Ukraine. Polish jets shot down at least three of the aircraft.

No casualties have been reported.

This is crazy.

Just yesterday I wrote about 13 major World War III developments that had just occurred in a 48 hour period.

And now this has happened.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is warning that his nation is dangerously close to a direct military conflict with Russia…

Poland’s prime minister, Donald Tusk, said the country is closer to military conflict “than at any time since the second world war” as Warsaw and Nato allies weighed a response to an incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace.

Poland scrambled its own and Nato air defences, shooting down at least three drones, as Russia’s attack on Ukraine spread to Nato territory early on Wednesday in the most significant way since the full-scale invasion more than three years ago.

This is an extremely serious situation.

Following the incident with the drones, Poland formally invoked Article 4 of the NATO treaty…

Poland and the United States are members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which at its core is a mutual defense pact formed after WWII to deal with the threat posed by the Soviet Union, meaning an attack on one may be considered an attack on all.

Tusk said he had activated Article 4 of NATO’s treaty, under which alliance members can demand consultations with their allies, and that he was in touch with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, who called the incursion “reckless behavior,” irrespective of whether it was deliberate.

A NATO official confirmed to NBC News that Poland had “requested consultations under Article 4 of the Washington Treaty,” only the 8th time that the article — which does not trigger a military reaction — has been invoked since NATO was established in 1949.

Invoking Article 4 does not mean that we are going to war.

Instead, what it means is that members of NATO will now discuss what steps should be taken next

This is not the better-known Article Five, which activates obligatory collective defence from all members, but rather one that triggers a consultation process. Per NATO itself: “Any member country can formally invoke Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty. As soon as it is invoked, the issue is discussed and can potentially lead to some form of joint decision or action on behalf of the Alliance. Whatever the scenario, fellow members sitting around the Council table are encouraged to react to a situation brought to their attention by a member country.”

As NATO leaders talk things through, hopefully cooler heads will prevail.

The Russians are insisting that they had absolutely no intention of attacking any targets inside Poland…

Russia labeled the accusations “groundless” and said it did not plan to attack any targets in Poland.

The Russian Defense Ministry said it had attacked the “military-industrial complex of Ukraine” in a “large-scale strike” but that “there were no targets envisioned for destruction on the Polish territory,” pointing to the flight range of the drones it said it used against western Ukraine.

It said it was “ready to hold consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense on this matter.”

The Russians obviously do not want NATO to get directly involved in the war in Ukraine.

So why did Russian drones end up flying into Poland?

The Belarusian military is claiming that the Russian drones “lost their track as a result of the impact of the parties’ electronic warfare assets”…

The Belarusian military earlier reported having given their Polish counterparts early warning that some drones used by Ukrainian and Russian forces for mutual attacks “lost their track as a result of the impact of the parties’ electronic warfare assets.”

“This allowed the Polish side to respond promptly to the actions of the drones by scrambling their forces on duty,” said General Pavel Muraveiko, the chief of the general staff of Belarus.

The general added that some of the stray aircraft had been intercepted by Belarusian air defenses. He stressed that the exchanges with Poland were part of regular communications about incoming threats, with the Polish side regularly informing officials in Belarus about aircraft detected in Ukrainian airspace.

Yes, it is entirely plausible that electronic warfare caused the Russian drones to accidentally veer off course.

But I think that there is also a possibility that electronic warfare could have been used to purposely direct those drones into Polish airspace.

There are those that are absolutely determined to drag NATO into the war in Ukraine by any means possible.

One of those individuals is Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.  Following the drone incident in Polish airspace, he immediately proposed “a joint air defense system” that would “create an effective air shield over Europe”

There are several reasons for this brazen behavior of Russia, and they are absolutely obvious to everyone. We need to work on a joint air defense system and create an effective air shield over Europe. Ukraine has long proposed this, and we have concrete solutions. We must respond together to all current challenges and be ready for potential threats to all Europeans in the future. Likewise, we need to significantly increase joint funding for the production of interceptor drones. They have already proven their effectiveness.

In other words, he wants NATO to provide air defense for Ukraine.

But it wouldn’t end there.

Zelensky knows that Ukraine can never defeat Russia alone.  So he is desperate to get NATO ground forces involved, and it is interesting to note that French hospitals have been instructed to prepare for mass casualties by March 2026

Ultimately, the direction that NATO takes in the months ahead is going to be largely determined by the Trump administration.

Following the drone incident in Poland, President Trump posted a very ominous message on his Truth Social account…

Here we go?

I don’t like the sound of that at all.

And President Trump is also proposing that the U.S. and the EU should slap extremely high punitive tariffs on China and India because they are still conducting normal levels of trade with Russia…

The United States is ready to broaden tariffs targeting buyers of Russian oil — if the EU takes similar moves — to hit at revenue Moscow needs for the war in Ukraine.

Dialing in to talks between United States and European Union officials, President Donald Trump raised the possibility of tariffs between 50 percent and 100 percent on oil buyers such as China and India, said the official, who was not authorized to discuss these details publicly.

The talks come as EU sanctions envoy David O’Sullivan, who has spearheaded the bloc’s global outreach on preventing Moscow’s evasion of sanctions, is leading a delegation in Washington for meetings on Monday and Tuesday.

U.S. tariffs on most Chinese imports are already above 50 percent.

If those tariffs are raised by another 50 percent or more, it is likely that the flow of most goods coming over from China will simply stop.

That would lead to the sort of shortages that I warned about a few months ago when tariffs on Chinese imports briefly spiked to 145 percent.

In addition, much higher tariffs on Chinese goods would be a critical blow to our rapidly deteriorating relationship with China.

U.S. policies over the past decade have driven the Chinese and the Russians into one another’s arms, and now they are very united in their opposition to us.

This is a scenario that we should have tried very hard to avoid for obvious reasons.

Peace with the Russians is still possible, but it is not going to be produced by threatening the Russians.

I have tried to make that point as strongly as I can, but now time is running out.

Zelensky has insulted Trump. Is he suicidal? | RT

The Ukrainian leader risks alienating the only power besides Moscow with a realistic approach to ending the war

Zelensky has insulted Trump. Is he suicidal?

In a weekend interview with ABC News, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky accused US President Donald Trump of giving Russian President Vladimir Putin “what he wanted” at the Alaska summit in August.

Whether a passing complaint or a calculated jab, it may come at a steep cost for Zelensky. To suggest that Trump bent to Putin’s will is to imply weakness, and weakness is something Trump never tolerates being accused of. This rhetorical swipe was directed at a man who holds significant sway over the trajectory of the Russia-Ukraine war. For Zelensky, the insult may prove more damaging than cathartic.

Zelensky overestimates his leverage

Zelensky appears to believe that he has become indispensable in Trump’s calculations, that Washington’s policy revolves around Kiev’s demands. But this overstates his importance. Trump has been consistent about one priority: he wants the war to end, and more than that, he wants the US disentangled from it. His approach reflects the sentiment of much of the American public – weary of sending weapons and aid overseas while domestic problems fester.

By framing Trump’s summit with Putin as a giveaway, Zelensky risks alienating the one Western leader positioned to actually shift the direction of the war. Trump is sensitive to personal slights. For years, allies and adversaries alike have learned that once he feels personally insulted, he hardens, not softens. To tell Trump, in effect, that he’s Putin’s stooge is to court precisely that reaction.

Trump’s realpolitik

Trump’s efforts at the Alaska summit were grounded in a political reality that Zelensky refuses to acknowledge. The battlefield is not tilting in Kiev’s favor. Russia’s position, bolstered by sheer resources and strategic depth, is proving resilient. Ukraine’s European backers continue to speak in lofty terms of standing “as long as it takes,” but they lack the power to deliver a Ukrainian victory.

Trump, by contrast, pursued a path that might actually move events forward: direct talks with Russia, engagement on security concerns, and the search for a negotiated framework. It is not an approach designed to satisfy Zelensky and the Europeans’ maximalist goals but rather one rooted in ending an exhausting conflict. To dismiss this effort as capitulation is to ignore that it may be the most realistic option still on the table.

The rhetoric of survival vs. the reality of war

In the same ABC interview, Zelensky says his vision for a Ukrainian victory is Ukraine’s survival. Yet his strategy as evident from his actions appears geared less toward survival and more toward dragging the war on for as long as possible. Each new demand for weapons, each new appeal for escalated sanctions, pushes the conflict forward without changing the battlefield reality of Russia grinding forward toward its objectives – and whatever Zelensky claims, total occupation of Ukraine is not one of those objectives. In the name of “survival,” Ukraine is exhausting its people, its infrastructure, and its economy.

If survival truly is the goal, then ending the war must be the only priority. Right now, Trump has the best shot at it, because he is realistically engages with the interests of Russia – the side that has the clear upper hand on the battlefield. And Zelensky is pushing that opportunity away.

What the Ukrainians want

The Ukrainian people themselves may be more pragmatic than their leadership. Polling suggests a stark divide: only a small minority – just 11%, according to a recent survey – favor continuing the war without conditions. Meanwhile, overwhelming majorities favor pursuing talks with Russia. This does not mean embracing defeat, but it does mean recognizing that endless escalation is not the preferred path for those getting forcibly conscripted and those seeing their loved ones getting carted off to war.

Zelensky claims ‘victory’ is avoiding total loss of Ukraine

For Zelensky, this creates a dangerous disconnect. Leaders cannot stay indefinitely ahead of their populations without eroding legitimacy. To ignore the public’s exhaustion while doubling down on maximalist rhetoric risks creating a gulf between the government’s objectives and its people’s endurance.

A smaller stage, a larger risk

By publicly belittling Trump’s diplomacy, Zelensky is shrinking his own stage. He portrays himself as the bulwark of Europe, the last line holding back a supposed “Russian aggression.” Yet without sustained Western backing, Ukraine cannot hold indefinitely. And of all Ukraine’s backers, the US remains the most consequential. Alienating the leader who wants to end US involvement – whether one agrees with his motives or not – is a perilous gamble.

Zelensky’s rhetoric may win applause in certain European capitals. It may even rally a domestic audience for a time. But it risks costing him the one relationship he cannot afford to lose. Trump is not moved by appeals to shared values or by grand speeches about democracy. He is moved by respect and recognition of his central role. By suggesting Trump has already caved to Putin, Zelensky undermines both.

Zelensky’s statement reveals a leader more focused on preserving his narrative than recalibrating his strategy. Words matter in diplomacy, especially when those words are aimed at a figure like Donald Trump. In calling Trump weak, Zelensky may have weakened his own hand. If his true goal is Ukraine’s survival, then it will not be secured through rhetorical bravado. It will require careful diplomacy, acknowledgment of battlefield realities, and avoiding needless insults to the one partner whose departure from the stage could lead to even more disaster for Zelensky’s regime than it has already created for itself.

Are They Setting The Stage For NATO To Officially Enter The War With Russia? | End Of The American Dream

Why are the Europeans organizing a “coalition of the willing” to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine when the Russians have repeatedly stated that they will never accept any western peacekeeping troops in Ukraine?  Are the Europeans just being delusional, or is something else going on here?  When I learned that French President Emmanuel Macron had announced that 26 western countries had agreed to deploy troops to Ukraine immediately after a ceasefire deal is reached, I was deeply alarmed…

Twenty-six Western allies have formally committed to deploying troops “by land, sea or air” to Ukraine the day after a ceasefire deal is agreed, Emmanuel Macron has said.

The French leader made the announcement after a summit of 35 countries dubbed the “Coalition of the Willing”.

Macron and other western leaders know that Russia will never agree to any deal that would allow western troops to enter Ukraine.

On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova reaffirmed this yet again…

Russia once again rejected the idea of foreign troops being stationed in Ukraine. This comes as European leaders met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and held a joint call with President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said any plan to have foreign military personnel deployed to Ukraine would be “unacceptable” to Moscow, Reuters reported.

“Russia is not going to discuss a foreign intervention in Ukraine in any form or format that is fundamentally unacceptable and undermines any security,” Zakharova told reporters, according to Reuters.

So why are the Europeans preparing to do something that Russia will never agree to?

Well, for one thing western leaders do not believe that the Russians should have any say in the matter.  The head of NATO made that exceedingly clear on Thursday

Nato chief Mark Rutte said on Thursday that Russia had no veto on Western troops being deployed to Ukraine: “Why are we interested in what Russia thinks about troops in Ukraine? It’s a sovereign country. It’s not for them to decide.”

There is no doubt in my mind that the Europeans plan to send troops to Ukraine once the war is over whether Russia likes it or not.

But could it be possible that the Europeans are actually planning to send troops to Ukraine before the war is over?

The Ukrainians have already lost 1.7 million soldiers, and they need reinforcements desperately.

If they do not get those reinforcements, they will steadily lose more land.

And I think that it is a very troubling sign that hospitals in Europe have been instructed to be ready to treat large numbers of wounded European soldiers by March 2026

French hospitals have been ordered to make preparations for an imminent war in Europe as Germany says it is on alert for Russia’s military drills.

France’s ministry of health has told health bodies across the country to prepare for a possible ‘major engagement’ by March 2026, according to documents obtained by Le Canard Enchaîné.

The French government is predicting a scenario where the nation would become a supporting state that has the capacity to take a massive number of wounded soldiers from France and other European nations.

Why would hospitals in France be told to prepare for such a scenario if there is going to be a peace agreement?

Of course the truth is that there isn’t going to be a peace agreement.

Ukraine will never willingly give up the territory that Russia is demanding, and Russia will never agree to allow European peacekeeping troops in Ukraine.

All along, one of Russia’s primary goals has been to keep NATO completely out of Ukraine.

Of course one of Volodymyr Zelensky’s primary goals has been to drag NATO directly into the war.  This is something that former Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke about earlier this week

Vladimir Zelensky’s “dream” is to draw NATO directly into the conflict with Russia on Ukraine’s behalf, former Polish President Andrzej Duda said Tuesday.

Speaking in an interview with journalist Bogdan Rymanowski, Duda recalled an incident in November 2022, when a Ukrainian air defense missile struck near a Polish border village, killing one person. Zelensky immediately blamed Russia and urged Warsaw to invoke NATO’s collective defense clause.

Duda said the Ukrainian leader pressured him to publicly declare the weapon Russian in origin, which he refused to do.

Do you remember that false flag incident from November 2022?

I do.

Thankfully we were not dragged into a direct war with Russia at that time, but the danger is still there.

In fact, I am extremely concerned about what Ukraine’s new Flamingo cruise missile will mean for the conflict…

Ukraine has revealed a powerful new weapon that could shift the balance of its conflict with Russia — the Flamingo cruise missile. Developed by defense startup Fire Point, the missile is said to be capable of carrying a 2,535-pound warhead and striking targets up to 3,000 kilometers away, signaling a major leap in Kyiv’s domestic arms production.

Ukraine does not have many of these cruise missiles yet, but they are expected to enter mass production by the end of this year

Fire Point currently manufactures one Flamingo missile per day, with plans to scale up to seven daily by October 2025 — potentially 2,500+ units annually.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects mass production by December 2025, as Ukraine accelerates toward becoming the so-called “Silicon Valley of defense.”

If Flamingo cruise missiles start slamming into major Russian cities, the Russians may respond with overwhelming force.

If the Russians respond with overwhelming force, European leaders may use that as justification to send troops to Ukraine.

And once European troops start dying in Ukraine, we will be just one step away from nuclear war.

President Trump has tried to bring an end to the conflict in Ukraine, but the Ukrainians are not going to back down from their most essential positions and the Russians are not going to back down from their most essential positions.

So the war continues, and Russian forces are steadily moving forward.

As Russian forces take more ground, the Ukrainians will become increasingly desperate to find a way to drag NATO directly into the war.

If the Ukrainians are ultimately successful in dragging NATO directly into the war, the entire future of our civilization will be at risk.

Putin Says Ukrainian Military Is in CRITICAL Condition, as Russian Forces Break Into Kupyansk and Advance Into Dnipropetrovsk Region (VIDEOS) | The Gateway Pundit

Russians advance all over the frontline.

In his press conference before leaving China after a four-day visit, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the war in Ukraine, making sure to stress that Moscow is prepared to end the war by ‘force of arms’ if peace negotiations don’t make any progress.

He also talked about the state of the Ukrainian military, that he called a ‘critical condition’, to the point where they’re no longer able to enact ‘large-scale operations’.

According to Putin, the most combat-ready units are staffed at no more than 47-48% – at less than half-force.

He also noted that the Ukrainian reserves are constantly redeployed from one part of the front, to another.

This comes a few days after Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, made an update on the state of the conflict.

Since March 2025, the Russian forces have liberated over 3,500 square kilometers and 149 settlements, according to Gerasimov.

The creation of a buffer zone along Russia’s border in Ukraine’s Sumy and Kharkov regions is progressing successfully.

In the meantime, the Russian forces have liberated 99.7% of the Lugansk People’s Republic, 79% of Donetsk, 74% of Zaporozhye region, and 76% of Kherson region.

Reuters reported:

“’The combined group of troops continues a non-stop offensive along almost the entire front line’, General Valery Gerasimov told his deputies in an address published by the Defense Ministry. ‘At present, the strategic initiative lies entirely with Russian forces’.

[…] Russian forces this month have begun pressing into Ukraine’s southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region, open-source maps show. Gerasimov said seven villages in the region were now under Russian control.”

Russian forces are advancing across the entire 1,000 mile-long frontline.

In the northern Kharkov region, footage shows Russian forces raising the flag in the important bastion of Kupyansk.

The video shows Russian soldiers near the city administration building, Spartak Stadium, the city electrical substation, and the TV tower.

In a different Reuters report:

“Russia’s defense ministry said on Wednesday that its troops had captured ‘about half’ of the city of Kupiansk in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, but Ukraine’s military denied any such advance.

Kupiansk has been the focus of months of increased Russian military activity and heavy fighting. Russian troops captured the city in the early weeks of their February 2022 invasion and Ukrainian forces took it back later that same year.”

Putin’s Q&A session following China visit (WATCH IN FULL) | RT

The Russian president has said he has nothing against providing Ukraine with security guarantees, as long as they are not at Moscow’s expense

Putin’s Q&A session following China visit (WATCH IN FULL)

Wrapping up a four-day visit to China, Russian President Vladimir Putin fielded questions from the press on Wednesday.

Putin clarified that Moscow does not oppose the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine per se, but that they should not undermine the security of other nations, including Russia. The Kremlin continues to insist that Kiev not join NATO, but it could be a member of the European Union, the Russian president stated.

He also dismissed claims that Russia and the US had discussed “security guarantees in exchange for territories” during Putin’s meeting with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, in Alaska last month.

“To be honest, we are not so much fighting for territories – I’d like to stress – as for… the right of the people living in those territories to speak their native language, live within the framework of their culture and traditions,” Putin said.

By way of example, he mentioned that the residents of Crimea, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions had voted overwhelmingly in referendums to join Russia. “That’s what democracy is all about,” the Russian president declared.

Given US President Donald Trump’s “sincere desire to find a solution” to the Ukraine conflict, “there is some light at the end of the tunnel,” he stated.

Putin also reiterated his readiness in principle to meet with Vladimir Zelensky, including in Moscow, but said that a huge question mark still hangs over his legitimacy as Ukraine’s leader.

Zelensky’s presidential term expired last May, but he has refused to hold elections, citing martial law.

Watch Putin’s press conference in full below for these and other topics he covered.

Trump Blames Euro-Globalist Leaders for Sabotaging Peace Process Between Russia and Ukraine: REPORT | The Gateway Pundit

Donald J. Trump blames Euro-Globalists for the lack of progress in peace efforts.

Trump knows very well who the false friends are.

As we see little to no progress between Russia and Ukraine in the peace process initiated after the historic Donald J. Trump-Vladimir Putin in Alaska, we watch MSM reporters and Euro-Globalist heads of state endlessly calling for the US to impose additional sanctions and tariffs on Moscow.

But the American president knows very well how these same journalists and politicians are working tirelessly to undermine and sabotage the peace efforts.

Axios reported:

“Senior White House officials believe some European leaders are publicly supporting President Trump’s effort to end the war in Ukraine, while quietly trying to undo behind-the-scenes progress since the Alaska summit, Axios has learned.”

Two weeks after the Anchorage summit, Trump administration lay the blame for the lack of progress on European ‘allies’, and not on Trump or even Putin.

“White House officials are losing patience with European leaders, whom they claim are pushing Ukraine to hold out for unrealistic territorial concessions by Russia.

“’The Europeans don’t get to prolong this war and backdoor unreasonable expectations, while also expecting America to bear the cost’, a top White House official told Axios. ‘If Europe wants to escalate this war, that will be up to them. But they will be hopelessly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory’.”

Trump team believes Europeans are pushing Volodymyr Zelensky to wait for a ‘better deal’ — while Russia advances ever more rapidly, and the Ukrainian defenses are on the verge of collapsing.

“’Getting to a deal is an art of the possible’, the top official said. ‘But some of the Europeans continue to operate in a fairy-tale land that ignores the fact it takes two to tango. […] We are going to sit back and watch. Let them fight it out for a while and see what happens’, the official said.”

Some US officials now reportedly see Euro-Globalist leaders as a major obstacle for peace.

Russian Defense Minister Belousov Says Moscow’s Pace of Territorial Conquest Almost Doubled, With Forces Now Advancing 270 Square Miles Per Month | The Gateway Pundit

Russian Defense Minister Belousov reveals the faster pace of advances by Russian forces.

Under the command of respected economist and former deputy prime minister Andrei Belousov, the Russian forces took a major technological step forward, and Moscow’s weapons industries are churning out artillery shells, drones and missiles in numbers the western powers can only dream of.

But under the new Defense Minister, the territorial advances have also surged in pace and intensity.

Today (29), Belousov said that the Russian army has quickened the pace of advance in Ukrainian theatre of operation, and have been conquering 600-700 square km (270 square miles) a month – almost doubling the 300-400 square km at the start of the year.

Reuters reported:

“Belousov also said that Russia had inflicted significant damage on Ukraine’s military and industrial infrastructure carrying out 35 mass strikes this year on what he called 146 critically important targets.

‘As a result, the infrastructure of 62% of key enterprises in Ukraine’s military-industrial complex has been damaged’, Belousov said.

‘I would particularly like to highlight strikes that reduce production capacity, as well as those targeting logistics centers and launch sites for long-range strike drones’.”

Belousov wants Russia to keep improving its own drone capabilities, including training drone operators more quickly.

“Another priority he identified was improving the speed at which tactical groups could move.

‘This year, 22,725 motorcycles, quad bikes and buggies have been delivered. By the end of the year, a further 12,186 units of this equipment are expected to be transferred to the armed forces’, he said.”

9 fortified bastions stand between Russia and the complete conquest of Donetsk region.

At a meeting of the Russian Ministry of Defense Collegium, Belousov also highlighted:

Lord Bebo reported:

“Since the beginning of the year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost more than 340,000 personnel and over 65,000 pieces of equipment. The combat potential of the Ukrainian army has been significantly reduced

Since the beginning of the year, the Russian Armed Forces have carried out 35 massive and group strikes on 146 critically important targets;

62% of key Ukrainian defense enterprises have been damaged;

The Defense Minister especially noted strikes on long-range strike drone launch sites, as well as their storage and production locations.”

Ukraine Belatedly Confirms Russian Troops Have Breached Central Oblast & Industrial Heartland | ZeroHedge

Several more villages fell to the Russian army in Donetsk at the end of last week, and the battlefield momentum has continued into Tuesday, as Ukraine has acknowledged for the first time that Russian troops have entered the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk region.

Dnipropetrovsk is a central oblast which has long been spared from the main fighting. Russian forces have penetrated this strategic area, which suggests the war is still expanding, significantly beyond the annexed four territories. It is known as the industrial heartland and key production hub of the country.

City of Dnipro, Ukraine. via World Atlas

“Yes, they have entered, and fighting is ongoing as of now,” a Ukrainian military spokesman for the Dnipro Operational Strategic Group of Forces told AFP.

Moscow had first announced it breached the region back in July, but Ukrainian officials had not acknowledged it until this week. Russia also says it has fully captured the villages of Zaporizke and Novogeorgiivka – something which Ukraine’s military leadership is disputing.

But Reuters is confirming, writing, “Russia has captured two villages in Ukraine’s southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukrainian open-source researchers confirmed on Tuesday, as Kremlin troops press an offensive amid a stalling diplomatic effort to end the war.”

“Ukraine’s outmanned and outgunned military has struggled to fend off grinding Russian advances in much of the east as Moscow increases pressure on Kyiv to give up territory in any peace negotiations,” the report adds.

All that the exhausted Ukrainian military can do at this point is keep sending drones into Russian territory. This again happened overnight as Ukraine’s special forces attacked logistical facilities in Crimea.

A Ukrainian military statement said facilities “that ensure the functioning and combat supply of the military units of the Russian army” were damaged and put out of commission.

President Trump is meanwhile still trying to strike a tone of cautious optimism when it comes to peace talks. On Monday he had confirmed speaking again with President Vladimir Putin.

“Every conversation I have with him is a good conversation. And then, unfortunately, a bomb is loaded up into Kyiv or someplace, and I get very angry about it,” Trump told reporters.

The White House still doesn’t want to fully admit that Russia is winning the war, and that Kiev has no leverage. This means that realistically a swift ending would involve the US pressuring Zelensky to make serious compromises.

But by and large the Europeans are committed to seeing Ukraine stay in the fight. But this is a recipe for more death and destruction, and the war grinding on toward possible escalation with NATO.

Come On Man! It Seemed Like Peace Was So Close, But Now “War Fever” Has Returned With A Vengeance | The Economic Collapse

I have to admit that I am feeling pretty frustrated today.  Last week, there was so much optimism that we could finally see peace, but now “war fever” has returned with a vengeance.  The situation in the Middle East threatens to spiral out of control, there is a very real possibility that the U.S. military could soon be conducting operations in Mexico and Venezuela, and it appears that our last chance for peace with Russia could be going up in smoke.  I was writing about a coming war with Russia many years before it became fashionable, and I continue to warn in the strongest terms possible about what will happen if we do not reverse course.  But of course world leaders do not listen to people like us, and they continue to make decisions that could drag us into the unthinkable.

Last night, the Russians absolutely pummeled Ukraine with drone and missile strikes.  One of the targets that was hit was an American-owned manufacturing facility

In its overnight attacks, Russia launched a total of 574 strike drones and 40 missiles on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday, hitting as far west as the city of Lviv.

Missiles also struck an American-owned manufacturing company, Flex Ltd., in the western region of Zakarpattia, in an attack that injured at least 19 people, Ukrainian officials said. Flex is a American-Singaporean company that provides electronics manufacturing services and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

“Overnight, Russian missiles attacked one of the largest American investments in Ukraine – Flex – an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce,” said Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine. “Russia continues to destroy and humiliate US businesses in Ukraine, targeting companies that invest and trade on the US stock markets.”

I am very displeased that the Russians chose to target a U.S.-owned business, because they should have known that this would really upset the Trump administration.

Whoever authorized this attack is not thinking rationally, because it threatens to further derail the peace process.

Of course the Ukrainians are going to try to squeeze as much out of this incident as they possibly can

“It was an ordinary civilian enterprise, an American investment,” Zelensky wrote. “They produced such familiar household items as coffee machines. And this is also a target for the Russians. Very telling.”

Russian forces “delivered this strike as if nothing had changed at all,” he said. “There is still no signal from Moscow that they are really going to go into meaningful negotiations to end this war.”

I think that it is a valid point that if the Russians were truly serious about peace they would not have done this.

Now President Trump is steaming mad, and he just posted an extremely ominous warning on his Truth Social account

It is very hard, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking an invaders country. It’s like a great team in sports that has a fantastic defense, but is not allowed to play offense. There is no chance of winning! It is like that with Ukraine and Russia. Crooked and grossly incompetent Joe Biden would not let Ukraine FIGHT BACK, only DEFEND. How did that work out? Regardless, this is a war that would have NEVER happened if I were President – ZERO CHANCE. Interesting times ahead!!!

What in the world does that mean?

Is Trump going to allow the Ukrainians to use long-range missiles provided by the U.S. to hit targets deep inside Russian territory?

If so, how will the Russians respond when long-range missiles provided by the U.S. start hitting Moscow?

Everyone needs to calm down and think very carefully about their next moves.

At the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, it really did seem like talks were moving in the right direction.

But since that time, both sides have hardened their positions.

Ukraine is demanding that any peace agreement must allow large numbers of European troops on Ukrainian soil in order to prevent the Russians from attacking again.  But Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov just warned that European troops on Ukrainian soil would be “absolutely unacceptable for Russia” and that trying to arrange security guarantees without Russia’s approval is a “road to nowhere”

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov followed up comments dismissing Europe’s bid to arrange security guarantees for Ukraine as utopian and a “road to nowhere” with fresh remarks on Thursday that may amount to a fresh bid to slow or derail peace talks by introducing new demands.

While President Trump had revealed on Monday that “President Putin agreed that Russia would accept security guarantees for Ukraine”, it was never made clear what it was Putin had signalled his consent to and now Russia is finessing its conditions in public. Lavrov said today that any foreign military deployment to Ukraine — the very core of what European nations have in mind for Ukrainian security guarantees — would be “absolutely unacceptable for Russia”.

The Russians are determined to keep NATO completely out of Ukraine.

That has never changed.

So why do western leaders keep talking about sending troops to Ukraine as part of any peace agreement?

And the Russians are also demanding that Ukraine must hand over the remaining portions of the Donbas that Russia has not conquered yet…

Vladimir Putin is demanding that Ukraine give up all of the eastern Donbas region, renounce ambitions to join NATO, remain neutral and keep Western troops out of the country, three sources familiar with top-level Kremlin thinking told Reuters.

For the Ukrainians, handing over the rest of the Donbas is a non-starter

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has repeatedly dismissed the idea of withdrawing from internationally recognised Ukrainian land as part of a deal, and has said the industrial Donbas region serves as a fortress holding back Russian advances deeper into Ukraine.

“If we’re talking about simply withdrawing from the east, we cannot do that,” he told reporters in comments released by Kyiv on Thursday. “It is a matter of our country’s survival, involving the strongest defensive lines.”

So the fighting will continue.

And if long-range missiles start hitting Moscow and other Russian cities, the war will greatly escalate.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military is preparing to conduct military operations against Mexican drug cartels inside Mexican territory

Now, NORTHCOM has tasked its subordinate Special Operations Command (called SOCNORTH) to undertake “operational preparation of the battlespace” inside Mexico to set the stage for future military operations, and to prepare cartel-related “target packages” for potential strikes and “direct action” attacks on the ground against high-value individuals, compounds, and supply chain targets associated in particular with the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Direct attacks could also involve air and drone strikes.

“Direct action” is a term special operations forces use to describe small-scale offensive operations carried out by Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs, or Marine Corps raiders. Think of the airstrikes on Iran this summer as a kind of direct action, against a discrete target with a “strategic” or national purpose.

The Mexican government has already told us that it will not give us permission to do this.

But preparations are going ahead anyway.

And it also appears that we are getting dangerously close to war with Venezuela

The White House confirmed 3 warships and 4,000 marines are being deployed toward Venezuela. When asked about the possibility of boots on the ground, officials said the President is ready to use every element of American power to stop drugs from flooding into the US and hold those responsible accountable.

“The Maduro regime is not a legitimate government—it is a narco-terror cartel,” the statement added.

On top of everything else, Israel’s new offensive in Gaza has now begun

Israel launched strikes on Gaza City overnight as it moved forward with a new offensive in the Palestinian enclave despite international condemnation and mounting domestic protests.

Explosions rocked neighborhoods in the city on Thursday, after Israel said its military had entered the first stages of a planned assault that includes calling up 60,000 reservists. The operation has sent civilians fleeing once again, intensifying fears about the starvation crisis unfolding in the territory.

Israel also carried out strikes on Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and Deir al-Balah in the center of the territory on Thursday. Video from Deir al-Balah showed people running away from a large plume of smoke.

As I discussed yesterday, nobody can deny that we are in a time of “wars and rumors of wars”.

In a world that is absolutely teeming with weapons of mass destruction, flirting with an apocalypse is not wise.

We are literally dancing on the brink of disaster, and it won’t take much to push us over the edge.

IN TODAY’S DIGEST

EXECUTIVE NEWS SUMMARY

The Editors

  • Melania Trump beseeches Putin: First Lady Melania Trump wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging him to negotiate peace. The letter was presented to Putin at his Friday meeting with Donald Trump in Anchorage, Alaska. Melania urged Putin to consider the purity of children worldwide and the suffering caused by the ravages of war. The cloying letter may come with an underlying message from the Trumps to Putin. Perhaps it was intended to be a counterpoint to the show of strength President Trump arranged — a B-2 bomber with escorting F-35s flying directly over Putin’s head. Whatever the intent of the letter, it could have been better written.
  • DC AG sues Trump admin: Washington, DC, Attorney General Brian Schwalb raised a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Friday, days after Donald Trump ordered a crackdown on the city’s high crime. Schwalb’s lawsuit focused on Attorney General Pam Bondi’s directive to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to disregard the city’s “sanctuary” polices and assist ICE in its immigration enforcement. Schwalb told MPD Police Chief Pamela Smith to ignore the “unlawful” order. While the 1973 DC Home Rule Act grants the city a certain amount of self-rule, the law also includes a provision that allows the president to “direct” the mayor regarding policing should the president call an emergency, which Trump has done. Friday evening, Smith and Bondi came to somewhat of a compromise, wherein MPD officers will offer limited cooperation with ICE, which includes information sharing.

  • School DEI defunding blocked: It happened again — a district judge stepped in to stop the correct action of the executive branch. Judge Stephanie Gallagher sided with the plaintiff, the American Federation of Teachers, which argued that the Trump administration’s anti-DEI policy outlined in a February 14 letter runs afoul of procedural issues and violates constitutional rights. Thanks to Gallagher, schools that engage in the unconstitutional practice of DEI may not be defunded. Gallagher was first nominated by Barack Obama for the District of Maryland but was renominated by Donald Trump after her first nomination expired. It is remarkable how often district judges have ruled that halting unconstitutional actions is itself unconstitutional.
  • CFPB pink slips resume: The unaccountable federal agency that was the brainchild of Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which the Trump administration has rightly been working to eliminate, got bad news on Friday. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia overturned a federal judge’s order that had halted the Trump administration’s effort to fire most of the CFPB’s staff. “The district court lacked jurisdiction to consider the claims predicated on loss of employment,” the court majority ruled. This will allow the administration to move forward on its firings, which will significantly downsize the CFPB. While Trump cannot eliminate the agency, which will take an act of Congress, his administration has significantly eroded its power. Far from protecting consumers, the CFPB has been an agency designed to inject leftist ideology into the nation’s free market system.
  • Hochul pardons illegal alien who killed a man: If Democrats fought for Americans as hard as they fight for illegal aliens, they’d never lose another election. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has pardoned an illegal alien who was convicted of manslaughter in 1988 to prevent his deportation. After Somchith Vatthanavong shot and killed a man in a pool hall, he served 14 years in prison until his release in 2003. Despite being free to build a life in New York City for the last 22 years, he never became an American citizen — i.e., he never integrated. Vatthanavong was scheduled for an immigration appointment on July 1 under the new administration, until Hochul intervened, issuing an unconditional pardon that includes “relief from removal.” DHS called out Hochul on X, noting Vatthanavong’s rap sheet, which includes criminal possession of a firearm.

  • Trump cuts deportation backlog for first time in 20 years: Under Barack Obama, the backlog of immigration cases waiting to be heard by the Executive Office for Immigration Review was just 750,000. That number doubled to 1.5 million in Trump’s first term and then surged past four million under Joe Biden’s feckless leadership. Now, in Trump’s second term, that backlog has decreased (paywall) from 4.2 million to 3.8 million, mostly due to the lack of new cases. As the cases grew over the last two decades, immigrants would wait years before their case was brought, allowing them to put down roots and protect themselves from removal. Now, cases are heard in just a few weeks, with many new immigrants being held in detention centers rather than set loose on American soil, leading some to give up their cases and return to their homelands.
  • Trump sues CA over EV mandates: Although the One Big Beautiful Bill Act rescinded the Biden EPA’s permission for California to pursue its electric truck mandate, the Golden State has continued to pursue it. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has sought to continue imposing its so-called Clean Truck Partnership to force these heavy truck makers to replace their diesel truck production with all-electric trucks. The Trump Justice Department filed a lawsuit against California for defying federal law and moving forward with its EV mandate, which truck makers in the partnership have sought to exit in order to comply with federal law. “The Committee has been made aware that CARB staff is denying auto manufacturers approval to bring vehicles to market unless the manufacturers agree to comply with the preempted regulations,” House Republicans on the Energy and Commerce Committee stated in a letter to CARB.
  • Schumer’s big personal lie: Politicians are infamous for bending the truth, but their lies aren’t often complete fiction made up out of whole cloth. Recently, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was blasted across social media for his repeated references to “the Baileys,” whom he describes as a “middle-class couple” from “a suburb on Long Island” who “bought into Reagan Republicanism in 1980.” Schumer made extensive notes of the Baileys over the years, including in his book Positively American: Winning Back the Middle-Class Majority One Family at a Time. He even claims, “I have guided my political life through the Baileys.” So, who are the Baileys? Well, it turns out they don’t actually exist; they are simply a figment of Schumer’s imagination. And “Bailey” wasn’t even their original name. A former spokesman for Schumer noted that he used to ask his staff, “What would the O’Reillys think?”

FEATURED ANALYSIS

Trump Fights for Peace in Ukraine

Douglas Andrews

The obstacles are daunting, and Donald Trump has allowed as much.

“I settled six wars recently,” Trump told Fox News’s Bret Baier on Air Force One on the way to Anchorage for a summit with Russia’s Vladimir Putin. “The most difficult ones turned out to be easy. The easiest one, which should be this one, turned out to be the toughest.”

So much for the critics who say Trump never reflects, never introspects. Having so far settled varying degrees of armed conflict between Iran and Israel, between India and Pakistan, between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, between Azerbaijan and Armenia, between Cambodia and Thailand, between Kosovo and Serbia, and between Egypt and Ethiopia — that’s seven conflicts by my count — Trump realizes that this one, the Ukraine war, is by far the heaviest lift of all.

The president went into Friday’s summit seeking a ceasefire, but he didn’t get it. Instead, he got some naked flattery from Putin, who confirmed what the president has maintained all along: that this war would never have started if he’d been in office instead of the Autopen President. Elections have consequences, though — especially rigged ones — and the consequences of Joe Biden’s disastrous term in office are perhaps a million dead and wounded Ukrainians and Russians. Remind your Trump-deranged friends of that statistic next time they start prattling on about Trump the Nazi, Trump the King, Trump the Oligarch.

Predictably, the self-discrediting organism otherwise known as the mainstream media has been screeching about Trump having failed to extract a ceasefire concession from Putin. Funny, but I don’t remember them ever chastising Biden for failing to secure a ceasefire during the war that started on his watch, the war that he practically encouraged with talk of a “minor incursion” and such.

Trump is doing his best. Which is better than anyone else’s best. As former CIA Russia station chief Dan Hoffman noted this morning: “This peace initiative has been entirely from the Trump administration. It’s not like Vladimir Putin came to Alaska and said, ‘Hey, President Trump, I’ve caused a million casualties in my own country … I’ve pushed Finland and Sweden to join NATO, I’ve caused a brain drain of roughly a million Russians who have fled my country. Please help me get out of this loser war with a good peace deal.’ He’s not doing that. Last night, Putin launched 140 drones and another ballistic missile attack indiscriminately targeting Ukrainian civilians. So that’s the challenge for President Trump.”

Indeed, it’s a helluva challenge. As for those murderous overnight strikes by Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who’s meeting with Trump at the White House right now along with European leaders, said: “Putin will commit demonstrative killings to maintain pressure on Ukraine and Europe as well as to humiliate diplomatic efforts. That is precisely why we are seeking assistance to put an end to the killings. That is why reliable security guarantees are required. That is why Russia should not be rewarded for its participation in this war.”

What’s it going to take? Probably some form of land-for-peace deal. The Crimea is gone for good, having been snatched by Putin during Red Line Obama’s eight-year apology tour. As Hoffman observed, Ukraine has some well-fortified positions in the mountainous and strategically vital Donbas region — positions that Putin hasn’t been able to take militarily — but the rest of Ukraine is relatively flat. So if Zelensky gives up those strategic positions in the east, Putin could have an easier time moving through the rest of Ukraine if his ultimate goal is to overthrow Zelensky and install a Russia-friendly puppet regime instead.

President Trump, though, might have something to say about that — especially if he decides to fully unleash America’s economic might.

Here’s another question. Is it incumbent on the victim, Ukraine, to make peace here, or is it incumbent on the aggressor, which is Russia? Or is it incumbent on Trump, whom the Left seems to think owes the world a peaceful solution that includes total capitulation by Putin?

Gimme a break. As Secretary of State Marco Rubio put it yesterday: “This is not our war. The United States is not in a war. Ukraine is in a war, and we’ve been supporting Ukraine. … If tomorrow the work continues, life in America will not be fundamentally altered. So I think that we have to understand that this has been a priority for the president because he wants to promote peace.”

Ultimately, as Hoffman concludes, Putin and Russia want to demonstrate to the world that Russia bows to no one in Eastern Europe, and that the U.S. can’t project its power there in Russia’s backyard. And remember: Putin is a menace and a breaker of treaties, and if he doesn’t like journalists, he does what KSM in Saudi Arabia does: He kills them. (In Putin’s defense, though, he doesn’t chop them up into little pieces.)

As for the Left saying that Trump got rolled in Anchorage, don’t believe it. The White House rejects this, reminding us that Trump met multiple times with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, and he’s still isolated. And he engaged with the Iranian regime on a peace deal and has since bombed them out and isolated them. Trump isn’t going to bomb Russia, but all this is part of his unpredictability. Vladimir Putin might think he has Donald Trump’s number, but perhaps he’ll think differently if and when Trump starts to squeeze Russia’s one-trick petro-economy.

Those are the geopolitical considerations, but there’s a historical perspective to this as well. Ronald Reagan will forever be known as The Great Communicator. But at the risk of getting too far over my skis, if Donald Trump can somehow pull this off, even the teeth-gnashing historians of the Left will have no choice but to call him The Great Peacemaker.

Think about it: He’ll have once again confounded his Trump-deranged critics while at the same time saving countless lives all around the world.

That’d be a pretty satisfying twofer.
