European Union bureaucrats detonated another explosive attack on free speech Friday after slapping Elon Musk’s X platform with a staggering €120 million ($140 million) fine under the bloc’s Orwellian Digital Services Act (DSA), a move Musk says proves the EU has become an unaccountable censorship machine that must be abolished.
The Orwellian European Commission initiated formal proceedings against Elon Musk’s social media platform in December 2023 for allegedly failing to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA). Branded as a fight against online malpractices, this action is more like an affront to the platform’s resistance to censorship.
EU globalist politicians and elites are opposed to unrestricted free speech as it limits their ability to control the public.
At the World Economic Forum summit earlier in 2023, a European Union commissioner warned Elon Musk of potential sanctions if he does not cave on censorship.
The allegations from the unelected bureaucrat against Platform X cover several areas, including the management of illegal content, content moderation, the effectiveness of its ‘Community Notes’ system, transparency in advertising, and user interface design. However, these charges, at their core, appear to be an overreach, possibly impinging on the rights of platforms to self-regulate and uphold free speech.
The Commission’s decision stems from a preliminary investigation, which includes an analysis of the risk assessment report submitted by Platform X in September, its Transparency report from November 3, 2023, and responses to a formal request for information.
In August 2024, the European Union sent a letter to Elon Musk demanding that the X owner censor President Donald Trump during his planned interview with the GOP leader.
The letter was sent by Thierry Breton and was dated August 12, 2024.
Thierry Breton is a French business executive, politician, writer and the current Commissioner for Internal Market of the European Union.
In the letter, Thierry warns Elon Musk, “You have the legal obligation to ensure X’s compliance with EU law and in particular the DSA in the EU.”
Breton then went on to threaten Elon Musk if President Trump if he allowed President Trump to speak freely during their interview.
The EU then threatened to shut down X if Elon Musk would not censor opposing voices on his social media platform.
On Friday, the globalist technocratic authoritarians in Brussels hit Elon Musk’s X with a €120 million ($140 million) fine, the first blood drawn under their Digital Services Act.
EU paper-pushers whined that X’s paid blue-check system “confuses” users about who’s verified. In other words, they’re furious that anyone who can pay $8 can now get the same badge the old regime used to hand out only to approved regime journalists.
EU globalists complain that X won’t open its data firehose wide enough for their taxpayer-funded, regime-aligned ‘researchers.’ Everyone knows these “experts” are just left-liberal activists looking for new excuses to de-platform patriots, populists, nationalists, conservatives, and really anyone who has the nerve to go against the regime.
This fine is only round one of a two-year persecution campaign. More show trials are coming over “illegal content” and “manipulation”—code words the EU uses whenever conservatives trend.

It’s been one week since the British government’s odious ‘Online Safety Act’ came into force and basically everything on the Internet is now blocked.
The legislation was presented as an effort to protect children from seeing things they shouldn’t be seeing online.
However, to absolutely no one’s surprise, it’s already being used to eviscerate free speech.
The first thing that was blocked were videos of protests outside hotels where the government is housing illegal immigrants on the taxpayer’s dime.
British users of X shared screenshots of messages that popped up while they attempted to view footage from the protests, which started in Epping after a migrant sexually assaulted a teenage girl and have since spread around the country.
An elite team of police officers is to monitor social media for anti-migrant sentiment amid fears of summer riots.
Detectives will be drawn from forces across the country to take part in a new investigations unit that will flag up early signs of potential civil unrest.
The division, assembled by the Home Office, will aim to “maximise social media intelligence” gathering after police forces were criticised over their response to last year’s riots.

While censoring dissenting voices is evidently a primary focus for elements within the British Deep State, a whole host of other stuff has been blocked.
Whether this is intentional and nefarious or just a result of the massively broad terms of what the government could possibly consider ‘harmful’ or ‘hateful’ content, or whether the social media companies just don’t know, or just don’t want to take any chances, remains to be determined.
X user Chris Middleton shared an enraging thread of some of the stuff Brits can’t see anymore.
The Act gives Ofcom powers to slap platforms with fines of up to 10% of global turnover for “harmful” content.
“Harmful” is so vague that companies are over-censoring in order to avoid trouble.
It’s not protecting kids. It’s incentivising mass censorship.
I find it fascinating that Elon Musk has as much notoriety as he does. While it is certainly true that he is one of the, if not, the richest people on the planet, his goals are questionable. I say they’re questionable because of policies I’m seeing him implementing on X (formerly Twitter…and by the way, how long does everyone need to keep saying this part?).
Musk stated his intention to buy Twitter to dial it back to a true status of freedom of speech. This is absolute nonsense if we simply look at what’s happening on the forum now. The only person who actually has virtual free speech is Elon Musk himself. No one else on that forum can actually say what they want, when they want and never be checked by so-called “community standards.” Musk is truly the only one.
I’ve been on X long before it was X. When I first signed up and started using Twitter years ago, the free speech was a bit frightening in its breadth. I could post something and it would be seen instantly with people responding, liking, retweeting or panning what I had posted. It wasn’t long after that I began to notice a slow down in the way my tweets were getting (or not getting) traction. Eventually, few saw my tweets and fewer responded. At one point, I had over 11,000 followers and saw that dwindle within about 3 weeks time to far less than 2,000. Twitter mods simply removed my followers with zero explanation.
There were a few high number accounts on the conservative side of things, but I think this was done to give the illusion that shadowbanning conservatives was not real because those in charge could point to the big conservative accounts and say, “See? You’re wrong. You’re not being shadowbanned. You just need to persevere and push yourself out there more through interaction.”
Eventually, we all learned that shadowbanning, in spite of Jack Dorsey’s vehement denials, was a thing and Twitter used it to silence and/or mute accounts they did not agree with and that often meant conservative accounts (with the same thing happening on Facebook, by the way).
Enter Musk and his stated desire to return Twitter to true free speech. He eventually bought the company and implemented changes so that it appeared that more people were allowed to state their minds.
Then Musk hired a new CEO who has direct ties to the World Economic Forum. One of her first directives was to institute the “limited reach” rule, which simply meant that a person could say anything they wanted to say on X, but if it went against “community standards,” then X would place a “limited reach” on it, which ostensibly meant that pretty much no one beyond a person’s own followers would see the post. That’s like telling someone you can have 100% free speech…as long as you are in this closet with the door closed. I could go on and on but suffice it to say that X does not practice or promote true free speech. It simply doesn’t, which casts doubts on the legitimacy of Elon Musk’s claims.
Who is Elon Musk anyway? He seems to have gotten more than a foot in the door of the federal government and because of that, has access to sensitive material. Why should he have that? Well, it’s all good because he is simply going through every federal government department to find waste, so if he gains personal information on us, gosh, does it matter?
Actually, yes, it matters. Trump should not be allowing this, but Trump wants to cut expenditures and reduce America’s debt. That’s what he’s thinking about. The other stuff is peripheral and doesn’t matter much apparently. However, all this, along with Musk’s desires and designs could turn out to be bad for Americans (just like the continued push for more mRNA shots from Trump).
In a fairly detailed article from the 2nd Smartest Guy in the World substack (2SG), the author writes about, PSYOP-MUSK: Beware Deep State Assets Bearing Political & Technological “Solutions”.[1] In the article, he goes into some detail to uncover what he considers to be problems related to Musk and his machinations. It’s worth reading the entire article but I’ll provide some important snippets.
2SG wonders if Musk isn’t merely the new “Klaus Schwab”? So, is Musk Schwab 2.0? Way back in 2022, Smartest Guy wrote an article about what he called “PSYOP Musk” and how he became so wealthy.
Elon Musk is quite literally a CIA creation. He made all of his money from the taxpayers. When he sells his inflated stock that was made possible by ZEV credits, grants, tax breaks, and other corporate welfare fraud he is laundering the money stolen from taxes that was then inflated by a rigged stock market.[2]
While many of us would say that Musk appears to be doing great work tearing through the bureaucratic mess in the federal government (look at all the money he’s saving!!!), there’s something else we need to look seriously at, according to Smartest Guy. So if both Schwab and Musk are aligned that much, how are they different? Not by much. I cannot help but wonder if Musk is the next iteration of Schwab? Schwab is getting older and even Technocrat Globalists do not live forever on this planet as much as they like to believe they can make that happen. God is in control of that whether they like it or not.
It appears that everything Musk is doing either through X, DOGE or his own personal companies, is potentially designed to remove freedom from the average person’s life. Not only that, but if Musk (and Schwab) have their way, people eventually won’t be needed because most if not all things will be controlled by AI, robots or both. Bill Gates has recently stated that as well.
When Musk first bought Twitter, I naively thought, “Well, maybe there will be some positive changes.” There have been none at least for me and plenty of other conservatives on X. Nothing at all has changed. Because of this, I simply do not trust Musk at all. The things that Smartest Guy goes into detail on in several articles make me very wary of Musk’s intentions.
Does Musk eventually want to take down the US Treasury and replace it with his own private company that will charge a fee for every transaction? Smartest Guy seems to think so and because Musk has talked about his “everything” app that will include X and everything else he creates, why wouldn’t Musk want to do that if he could?
Smartest Guy has a few words of warning and I think we best take notice. At the very least, maybe we should be distancing ourselves from Musk’s products: X, his cars, his AI, his neural-link, his robots. The more we involve ourselves in what he’s doing, the more we get caught up in what may turn out to be a critical snare.
It legitimately feels like we are watching Elon enacting a coup…
Musk has ties to most major authoritarian players in the world stage. Is the richest man in the world. Has plans to implant chips into people’s brains and control them with satellites. He views humans as cattle to work in his factories and is now taking on private information to do what he wants to with.
This man wants to be the eye on the top of the pyramid. And we’re just going to let him take it…[3]
Now, interestingly enough, DOGE is finding a ton of financial government waste. USAID is an excellent example of the fraud the federal government perpetrates. This is a very good thing. Musk also recently noted that just about $60 million was found to have been used by FEMA to house and settle illegal aliens in the USA. That money is supposed to be used for Americans during disasters!
The amount of waste DOGE has been finding is unbelievable. Now onto the Pentagon!
In yet another instance, Wikileaks released docs showing how one secretive unofficial government agency is literally the propaganda arm of the entire government using billions in tax dollars to attack conservative agencies and anything that dies not promote the Left’s agenda. They do this through the media as well as individual NGOs and other organizations. So by bringing all this to light, Musk is seen as the good guy by most on the right, complete with the Left going after him in an unhinged style.
But is Musk a good guy? Does he actually allow freedom speech on X? Does he ultimately want to create one app that captures everyone? What are his actual intentions here?
Those who only think “Musk is great!” may be missing the point and incapable of realizing they may be being played and directed into the space Musk wants us to be captured in. It’s at least worth questioning.
I don’t really think Musk is hated by the Left. I think the drama is all designed to put our minds at ease in order to be taken in by Musk’s DOGE as the white hat. If the Left hates him, he must be doing good, we think. While they don’t want their secret activities to come to light, the end of all of this may not be what we are expecting.
Certainly take the good and enjoy it. But don’t let your guard down so you stop thinking. Don’t just go with the flow. Technocrats will NOT give up. They’ve worked too hard to give up now, even if they intone “Trump has won.” That’s garbage and I’m sure they’ve considered all their bases. At best they will simply change direction.

Up until now the global elitists have been largely successful in keeping the lid on popular discontent stemming from the above. This they managed by demonization and cancellation of objectors and by imposition of a highly efficient censorship regime by means of which they controlled mainstream discourse.
But now, largely through Elon Musk’s uncensored platform X, the pain and resentment of the masses are being brought into the open and aired in the public square.
As a result, the elites are being swept away by the resurgent populist movements that are becoming empowered and quickened by their access to free speech.
The panicked elites predictably blame Elon Musk for their loss of control.
“European leaders unite in sharp rebuke of Elon Musk,” reads a recent news headline.
Further down we read:
“[H]highlighting growing tensions between European leadership and tech giant Elon Musk’s political activities, French President Emmanuel Macron has emerged as the latest prominent voice opposing the billionaire’s involvement in continental politics… The French leader’s stance comes amid a broader pushback from European officials, including the prime ministers of Norway and Britain.”
These leaders are not incorrect, just not in the way they think.
Because Musk has made certain political comments, they accuse him of meddling in elections.
It is not his statements, however, that have accelerated a shift in the political dynamic. After all, Musk’s pronouncements are neither revolutionary nor particularly remarkable.
The things that Musk has said are simple truths, which is apparent to anyone with common sense. The problem was that those truths were not allowed to be brought up in public discourse under the strict censorship regime that the globalists have imposed on societies.
Because Musk’s widely popular X can reach large swathes of the world’s population, he was able to bring discussion of these forbidden truths back into the public square. And once enough people see the obvious truths articulated out in the open, they join in en masse and something powerful begins to stir.
The global populist revolution now underway has been accelerated by the whiff of free speech that Elon Musk allowed to blow through X rather than by his opinions per say.
The corrupt, fragile, and sclerotic regimes that globalists erected in Western nations – the regimes based on lies, corruption, and suppression of truth – are being brought down by freedom of expression.
As they scramble, the globalists are being exposed for who they truly are: undemocratic totalitarians whose rule rests on merciless across-the-board censorship. These people are the true heirs of the totalitarians of the past – such as communists and fascists – with whom they share a deeply-ingrained reflexive desire to silence opposing voices.
It is the pinnacle of paradox that these censoring totalitarians call those whom they censor and cancel the “enemies of democracy.” The truth is the exact opposite of what they claim. They cannot withstand the truth, which is why they suppress – in true totalitarian fashion – those whose views differ from their own.
Elon Musk may not be perfect, but the fact remains that he has done more for the cause of free speech and democracy than any other man today.
This is why the failing censorious globalist totalitarians hate him so.
Needless to say, Elon Musk deserves to be applauded for his effort. After all, free speech is the foundational western value. Without free speech it is not possible to have real freedom or democracy.
