Los Angeles Police Urge Residents ‘To Protect Themselves’ As Violent Crime Skyrockets

Crime Headlights - Public DomainAll over America, rates of violent crime are absolutely soaring.  As you will see below, violent crime overall shot up by 20 percent in Los Angeles last year, and the police are telling people that “they need to be able to protect themselves” because the police may not be able to get there in time when they call.  Thanks to deep budget cuts, police departments across the nation are already severely undermanned, and our major cities are now seeing crime rates increase at a pace that we have not seen in ages.  In a previous article, I encouraged my readers to focus on the five basics of preparation – food, water, shelter, energy and self-defense.  Of those five, it is often self-defense that is the most neglected.  When bad people break into your house in the middle of the night intending to do bad things, what are you going to do?  Many of us have not had to think about that for a long time, but now conditions are rapidly changing in America. John Cleese: Political Correctness Can Lead to an Orwellian Nightmare (VIDEO)

Political correctness is a form of oppression. It is about narrowing thought. It is about creating mental constructs which are not real. It about creating a dream (nightmare) world which will then somehow become reality. It is dangerous. I would even say that the newspeak we see on some college campuses (and elsewhere) is a form of tyranny. It is anti-intellectual. It is based in the idea that a rose is not a rose than that language creates reality.

Peter Schiff: “The U.S. Is One Gigantic Bubble Economy”

The admission that the economy is so weak that it needs more QE is going to destroy the narrative that the U.S. economy is in great shape and it’s no longer going to be the safe haven for capital around the world…it’s going to prick the bubble in the dollar…and people are going to realize that we’ve never recovered from anything, the economy is sicker than ever, the Fed’s going to make it even sicker with more of its toxic monetary policy, the dollar’s going to tank and the price of gold is going to skyrocket – and people need to prepare for that now.

– Peter Schiff on the Shadow of Truth

When Mt. Vesuvius blew, no one knew when it would happen or how big the eruption would be.  Everyone knew a volcanic event was going to occur and yet, the magnitude of the event caught a lot of people by surprise. The eruption destroyed two Roman cities and several surrounding settlements.  It killed an estimated 16,000 people.  The question is, how come more people didn’t leave the area surrounding Vesuvius when they knew that something was going happen at some point?

The United States financial system – including the viability of the U.S. dollar – is analogous to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.  A lot of people know something is wrong – evidenced by the growing support for the Trump candidacy – and yet 99.5% of the population is ignoring the warning signs of a systemic eruption of unknown magnitude.  It’s an event that draws closer with each passing day.

The warning signals of the coming financial markets collapse are in full view.  The warning signal from the junk bond market, triggered by but not limited to the collapsing energy sector, is beginning to spread into and infect the rest of the financial markets like an uncontrollable virus. If you are an investor or a professional money manager, what more of a warning do you need than this:

Islamism Responsible for More U.S. Murders than ‘Right-Wing’ Extremism

by Johanna Markind
Independent Journal Review
January 14, 2016

http://www.meforum.org/5791/islamist-vs-right-wing-violence

Originally published under the title “Islamist Violence Is Responsible for More Murders in the U.S. than ‘Right Wing Extremism’.”

Every murder is a tragedy, for the victims, their families, and their friends, and that remains true no matter who killed them or why.

That being said, the current administration has persistently worked to focus attention away from Islamist violence and toward right-wing violence and gun control. President Obama’s announced executive action plan regarding firearms is the latest salvo in the effort, which has been picked up by media and think tanks friendly to the administration.

After the Charleston church attack, the president quoted Martin Luther King, saying we must be concerned with “the philosophy that produced the murderers.” After the Colorado Planned Parenthood attack, Obama warned not to “demonize” the victim organization. After the Boston marathon bombing, he warned people against rushing to judgment “about the motivations of these individuals” (in other words, not to demonize the perpetrators) or “entire groups of people.” His administration labeled the 2009 Fort Hood attack “workplace violence.” With few exceptions, the president attributes ideological motives to non-Islamist mass casualty attacks, and non-ideological motives to Islamist attacks.

Obama has focused attention away from Islamist violence and toward right-wing violence and gun control.

Last June, the New America Foundation (NAF) – whose president, Anne-Marie Slaughter, formerly held a policy position in the administration – released a study purportedly showing “right-wing” extremism had killed more Americans than “jihadist attacks” i.e., Islamist violence, since 9/11. The study, and media coverage of it, implied popular concern about Islamist violence was overblown, because “the main terrorist threat in the United States is not from violent Muslim extremists, but from right-wing extremists.”

The study misleadingly implied that the threat of Muslim violence is less severe than other threats. Preliminarily, the list ignores other types of terrorism.

The list of “right wing” murders mixes several different ideologies, including various types of racism, such as white supremacist, neo-Nazi, anti-black, and anti-Semitic (30), plus anti-government (15), anti-abortion (4), and anti-homosexual (2) beliefs. Three murders had both racist and anti-government motivations; the above numbers double-count them.

By contrast, the list of “jihadist” murders reflects a single ideology, that of radical Islam or Islamism. It may be incomplete. For example, on February 5, 2013, Yusuf Ibrahim beheaded two Copts in New Jersey. In October 2002, Beltway snipers John Allen Muhammad and Lee Malvo killed ten people. There are indications these murders were motivated by Islamism.

Even excluding the twelve Ibrahim and Muhammad-Malvo killings, at least 45 murders since 9/11 were motivated by Islamism, making it the ideology responsible for more deaths than any other in the US.

Furthermore, if we take as expansive a view of Muslim violence as NAF took of “right-wing” violence, we should include victims of the barbaric practice of “honor killings” – killing someone, usually a woman, who allegedly brought shame on her family. Some have Islamist overtones. For example, in July 2002, Alim Hassan killed his wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, reportedly because the wife refused to convert from Hinduism to Islam. Since 9/11, there have been at least twelve honor killings in the US. A May 2015 report funded by and submitted to the US Department of Justice (DOJ) estimated that there are 23-27 honor killings in the US each year.

The NAF study implies that law enforcement should devote more resources to right-wing extremism than Islamism.

Adding known honor-killing victims to NAF’s list, Muslim violence has accounted for at least 57 deaths since 9/11. Of course, if we add in the 2,977 fatalities from 9/11, that number would be 3,034.

The NAF study and related coverage implied law enforcement should devote more resources to “right-wing” extremism than Islamist violence. That seems consistent with administration policy. For instance, recent DOJ grants to study domestic radicalization required recipients to study several types of extremism, given that the “majority of studies… focused on al-Qaida and other Islamic-inspired violent extremists at the detriment to… other violent extremist ideologies.”

It is probably true that more government resources could be devoted to preventing “right-wing attacks,” and the public should be mindful of the dangers. It is certainly true that preventing Islamist attacks deserves the lion’s share of government resources.

That is apparent from NAF’s own data. Its list of “Terror Plots” since 9/11 notes over 150 Islamist plots. It lists but a single “right-wing” plot; presumably the list is incomplete, if only because NAF’s list of “right-wing” fatalities identified several other incidents. The Southern Poverty Law Center identifies 56 incidents of “right-wing” terrorism between April 1, 2009 and February 1, 2015. Approximately 92 of the Islamist incidents identified by NAF occurred during the same time period. Fortunately, most were foiled, or the casualties would be much higher. NAF also identifies 499 total “extremists,” of whom 182 are “nonjihadist” and 317 – or 75% more – are Islamist.

It’s also worth noting that the US Muslim population is roughly 1/100 that of its white population (which perpetrated most “right-wing” violence). Per capita, the incidence of ideological violence within the Muslim community is much greater.

Recognizing a problem is critical to solving it, and prioritizing correctly is critical to triaging effectively. Gun violence, and the ideologies lumped together as “right-wing,” are serious concerns, but they are not the most dangerous ideology confronting America today. Islamist violence is. To echo Dr. King, at some point, we must be concerned with the philosophy that produces Islamist murderers.

Who’s Up for Another Obama Lecture on ‘Who We Are’?

By Allyne Caan

2016-02-04-ee3046d4_large.jpg

In a show staged to curry Muslim favor and propagate the myth that any connection made between the Religion of Peace™ and violence is inherently hateful, bigoted and entirely un-American, Barack Obama Wednesday made his first visit to a U.S. mosque — one with what he called an “all-American story.” His visit had less to do with any religious tendencies and more to do with jockeying for position for his post-presidential career. Obama’s religion is himself and whatever it takes to advance his political viability.

Speaking to the Islamic Society of Baltimore, Obama lamented that this is a “time of fear” for Muslim-Americans who are being “targeted or blamed for the violent acts of the very few.” He lectured in his all-too-familiar pattern: “That’s not who we are. We are one American family, and when any part of our family starts to feel separate or second-class or targeted, it tears at the fabric of our nation.”

In the wake of beheadings, rapes and even reports of hundreds of children being burned alive in the name of Islam, Obama had the gall to opine, “When any religious group is targeted, we all have a responsibility to speak up.” What has he ever said about Muslims perpetrating those attacks — the Muslim fanatics currently wiping ancient Christian communities off the map in the Middle East? Not much, though at last year’s National Prayer Breakfast he chided Christians for attacking Muslims … in the Crusades.

“You’ve seen too often people conflating the horrific acts of terrorism with the beliefs of an entire faith,” he said Wednesday. He claimed groups like the Islamic State “twist” the Koran, and he promised, “I refuse to give them legitimacy. We should never give them that legitimacy. We shouldn’t play into terrorist propaganda.”

It’s hardly “giving them legitimacy” or “playing into propaganda” to note that radical Islamic ideology motivated attacks on the World Trade Center (1993 and 2001); assaulting the U.S.S. Cole; the attack on the U.S. military recruiting office in Little Rock, Arkansas; the Fort Hood rampage; the Boston Marathon bombing; the Garland, Texas attack; the Chattanooga and San Bernardino murders; the Charlie Hebdo attacks; the Paris massacre — and the list goes on, and on, and on.

And it’s hardly propaganda to note, as we’ve done, that there is plenty in the Koran and the Hadith (the teachings of Muhammad) advocating death to infidels. Yet the silence from many high-profile Muslims who are not unequivocally condemning these and countless other acts of terror is deafening. Indeed, the world is still waiting to hear a Muslim outcry — vocal and without exception or caveat — denouncing terrorist acts perpetrated in the name of Islam.

Undeterred, Obama lectured “my fellow Christians” that “we have to understand an attack on one faith is an attack on all our faiths.” Christians and Muslims, despite his insistence that we’re all “descendants of Abraham,” do not serve the same God.

Obama is afflicted with an extreme case of a blinding Islamophilia — so much so that he is more concerned with protecting Muslims from alleged offense than with facing deadly reality. He bemoaned, “We’ve seen children bullied, we’ve seen mosques vandalized,” while ignoring the fact that Americans are worried about a jihadi shooting up the local military base, recruiting center, or gathering of coworkers — all of which have happened on Obama’s watch.

Now, back to the supposed “all-American story.” So intent is Obama on denying the obvious that he chose to visit a mosque with terrorist ties in order to demonstrate Islam’s supposedly peaceful agenda. As Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) reports, Obama’s mosque of choice “happens to be controlled by a radical Muslim Brotherhood front group his own Justice Department has implicated in the largest terrorist fundraising plot in U.S. history.”

Indeed, the Islamic Society of Baltimore is part of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). In 2007, federal prosecutors named ISNA as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator in a plot to send more than $12 million to Hamas suicide bombers. It’s been under FBI surveillance as well. What’s more, IBD reports that Imam Mohamad Adam el-Sheikh from the mosque told The Washington Post in 2004 that suicide bombings are “acceptable (as a method for Muslims) to defend themselves.”

While Islamic radicals wage war for a caliphate not only in the Middle East but worldwide, Obama keynotes at a terror-linked mosque to give Islam some free PR. As outrageous as this is, it’s hardly surprising, as it’s been Obama’s strategy both at home and abroad since Day One: Apologize your way to world peace.

Unfortunately, Obama’s denial of reality has not made America — or the world — a safer place. And a premier mosque performance will not do so either.

Has Rubio Timed His Surge Impeccably?

The politician to watch in this lap of the Republican presidential primary is Marco Rubio. Many GOP candidates have had their day in the sun. For example, there was interest in Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson but their popularity waned. Interest in Rubio comes just when it matters the most — when the party is casting its votes. During the Iowa Caucuses he went from the perception that he was mired in the middle of the pack with the likes of Jeb Bush and Carson to finishing with a strong, third-place finish, just a percentage point behind Donald Trump. With the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, the question has become how Rubio will perform in the state where Trump leads by a wide, albeit narrowing, margin.

Rubio has surged in the polls in the past few days, and if he performs as well with late deciders in New Hampshire as he did in Iowa, it could be a good night for him next Tuesday. But more telling than some suspect pollaganda is the number of endorsements that Rubio has collected. The statistic wonks over at FiveThirtyEight reports Rubio collected more endorsements from leaders in the GOP than any other candidate. “There has been a lot of debate this presidential campaign about how much influence party elites have on the nominating process,” FiveThirtyEight’s Aaron Bycoffe writes, “but endorsements have historically been among the best signs of which candidates will succeed in primaries.”

Recently, Rubio has received endorsements from the likes of Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC). With South Carolina’s delegation supporting the Florida senator, it might not be long before the governor of the Palmetto State, Nikki Haley, also endorses Rubio. The Establishment and its faux conservatism backs Trump, so it’s worth reiterating that both Cruz and Rubio stand for strong conservative principles. As we noted after the results in Iowa, Rubio pulls nearly universal perfect ratings from the American Conservative Union, Citizens Against Government Waste, National Right to Life and the NRA. The fact he’s doing well is an encouraging sign for conservatism and Liberty.

Clinton’s Wall Street Connections Hurt

Wednesday’s forum between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire didn’t help Clinton win hearts and minds in that state. After the virtual tie in Iowa, the Democrat candidates headed over to New Hampshire to campaign before the primary. Socialist Bernie Sanders essentially has home-field advantage, what with New Hampshire populated with white liberals going gaga over the senator from their neighboring state. Yet Clinton has unleashed her ground game in hopes of mitigating her losses.

At the forum hosted by CNN, Sanders said his goal was nothing short of upending the U.S. political system. “What this campaign is about is not just electing a president,” Sanders said. “It is creating a political revolution where millions of people, many of whom have not been involved in the political process, stand up and demand a government which represents all of us, not just wealthy campaign contributors.”

Meanwhile, Clinton was left defending her deep Wall Street connections, and defending the health care system her socialist competitor wants to replace with single-payer. Sanders attacked Clinton for having a Super PAC. And when moderator Anderson Cooper asked Clinton why she had to be paid $675,000 in speaking fees from Goldman Sachs, the once “dead broke” candidate stammered, “Well, I don’t know. Um, that’s what they offered, so…”

We noted last month that connections to Wall Street have hurt candidates on both sides of this race, as Wall Street is unpopular with both grassroots liberals and conservatives. But Clinton had her scapegoat: That vast right-wing conspiracy again. Now, it’s in the open, Clinton shrilled, and, “It’s gotten even better funded.” Last night, Clinton partied like it was 1999, while Sanders partied like it was 1949 — in China.

VA Officials Get Away With Fraud

Know an ethics violator in need of job security? Try hooking them up with a lucrative position at the Department of Veterans Affairs. In addition to providing lackluster care to millions of veterans, numerous agency officials were found abusing their executive authority, such as Kimberly Graves and Diana Rubens. The duo was recently demoted from the Senior Executive Service sector of the VA. Government Executive provides a quick backstory:

In September, the VA inspector general concluded the two improperly helped create vacancies at their respective offices and volunteered to fill them. The two employees occupying the Philadelphia and St. Paul director jobs at the time were relocated to jobs they did not volunteer for to make room for Rubens and Graves, who were working elsewhere at the time in positions with more responsibility, according to the watchdog. VA paid roughly $274,000 in relocation expenses for Rubens, and about $129,000 for Graves, for a total of more than $400,000.

The VA, which hasn’t exactly been quick to enact policy reforms, did address the situation, though the “punishment” amounted to nothing more than a slap on the wrist. Instead of pulling in salaries of more than $175,000 each, Rubens and Graves were paid only about $123,000 in their new roles. But even that was considered too harsh. In separate rulings issued Wednesday and Monday, the Merit Systems Protection Board struck down the demotions and reinstated the duo’s former jobs. They were also awarded back pay. And their legal bills? All covered, courtesy of taxpayers. One judge, Chief Administrative Judge William Boulden, absurdly stated, “I find that there is a significant problem created by the inconsistent treatment of a comparable employee, and that this makes the penalty unreasonable under the circumstances.” Translation: Because others are getting away with it, Rubens and Graves should too. Does that logic apply to tax frauds?

OPINION IN BRIEF

Tony Perkins: “[This week] Senate Armed Services Committee members heard plenty of sobering testimony about the repercussions of opening up combat jobs to females — and none should sicken Americans more than the news that drafting our girls is next. Sixty-five hundred U.S. girls turn 18 each day — and every one of them will be eligible for selective service if the Obama administration gets its way. … Of course, we watched this same recklessness with the Left’s other crown jewel: the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ Then, as now, political operatives openly rejected the opinion and authority of military leaders with battle-tested experience, who cautioned that we were opening up our troops to grave danger. Five years of sexual assaults, suicides, recruitment woes and low morale later, we see they were right. In 2010, Congress was assured that opening the military to homosexuals wouldn’t pave the way to transgender service — another promise now broken. Yet still we’re supposed to believe the Pentagon when it says that throwing women into combat wouldn’t lead to gender quotas, lower standards, or decreases in readiness? … What kind of nation forces its sisters, daughters and granddaughters onto a battlefield against their will? That’s not progress. It’s the worst kind of cowardice. And what good is ‘equality’ if it’s only setting women up for disaster and failure? As a Marine and the father of three daughters, I think the most pro-woman decision America could make is sparing them from policies that order them into harm’s way.”

SHORT CUTS

Insight: “The whole drift of our law is toward the absolute prohibition of all ideas that diverge in the slightest form from the accepted platitudes, and behind that drift of law there is a far more potent force of growing custom, and under that custom there is a natural philosophy which erects conformity into the noblest of virtues and the free functioning of personality into a capital crime against society.” —H.L. Mencken (1880-1956)

Upright: “What we are witnessing is the complete breakdown and failure of multiculturalism. … A society cannot be unified if it preserves different cultures and cultural identities within itself. That’s why our national motto is translated ‘out of many, one.’ To the multiculturalist it appears to be, ‘Out of one, many.’ History demonstrates that no nation can long survive if it forgets why it exists.” —Cal Thomas

The BIG lie: “[L]ike so many faiths, Islam is rooted in a commitment to compassion and mercy and justice and charity. Whoever wants to enter paradise, the Prophet Muhammad taught, ‘Let him treat people the way he would love to be treated.’ For Christians like myself, I’m assuming that sounds familiar.” —Barack Obama (Yeah, and Muhammad was also a mass murderer who raped children.)

Non Compos Mentis: “Muslim Americans are some of the most resilient and patriotic Americans you’ll ever meet.” —Barack Obama (Just ask the killers in Chattanooga, Fort Hood, San Bernardino, etc.)

Alpha Jackass: “[Ted] Cruz will sell his mother if he thinks it’ll get him another five points.” —”comedian” Trevor Noah

A broken clock is right twice a day: “I think I would choose Trump. … The reason is, Trump has proven already he’s completely malleable. I don’t think he has any fixed [ideas] he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right wing policies he’d pursue if he became president.” —Jimmy Carter

Late-night humor: “The Bernie Sanders campaign is demanding proof that Hillary Clinton beat him in yesterday’s Iowa caucus. Today Hillary said, ‘Sure, let me check my server.'” —Conan O’Brien

Zika: New Plague of the End Times – Hal Lindsey

As he taught about the end times, Jesus said, “There will be… plagues and famines.” (Luke 21:11 NASB)

Today, an untold number of pathogenic catastrophes hang over all our heads. On the 2015 Prophetic Year in Review, I said, “If you want to read apocalyptic literature, turn to the U.S. Center for Disease Control, or the World Health Organization. Scientists in those places are all abuzz about ‘superbugs’ — strains of bacteria that are immune to modern antibiotics.”

Damning Op-Ed Exposes How Hillary’s Top Aides Are Rabidly Anti-Israel

Will the American Jewish community continue to stand by her?

The negative, poisonous approach towards Israel throughout this cache of emails shows the atmosphere that Hillary had established around herself. These emails seem to demonstrate that a huge segment of her close advisers and confidants were attacking Israel, condemning Netanyahu, and strategizing about how to force Israel to withdraw from Judea and Samaria at all costs.

Wheaton Alumni Defend Chrislam Professor

Yet, what is amazing is that rather than be outraged over the heretic in their midst, Wheaton alumni are instead taking out their anger on their alma mater. Hundreds of Wheaton alumni have threatened to withhold future donations if the college doesn’t rescind its decision to fire Hawkins. In addition, the college’s faculty council has unanimously agreed to ask administrators to change their mind.

This is why Christianity is on the ropes

If Christians would read their bibles it would clear up a lot of deception, says Bill Muehlenberg of Culture Watch.  In this piece Muehlenberg addresses sexual sin and the lengths professing Christians will go to justified having sex outside of marriage. He points out that Satanic deception has become so rampant in our churches that, […]

Obama Calls Upon Muslims, Christians to “Build Bridges”: “We’re All Descendants of Abraham”

Christian News Network reports:

During his first trip to an Islamic mosque during his presidency, Barack Obama called upon Christians to “build bridges” with Muslims and vice versa, urging greater tolerance for the Islamic religion, which he contended “has always been a part of America.”

As previously reported, Obama’s visit to the Islamic Society of Baltimore on Wednesday was to serve as a gesture to “celebrate the contributions Muslim Americans make to our nation and reaffirm the importance of religious freedom to our way of life.” His 40-minute speech sought to portray Muslims as being an integral part of the fabric of the nation, and to call upon Americans to speak more positively of the Islamic religion.

Obama Tells A Massive, Whopping Lie During Visit To American Mega Mosque

President Obama spoke warmly about Islam during his speech at a mosque today, highlighting the contributions that Muslims had made to the fabric of American society.

Obama met with Muslim leaders during a visit to the Islamic Society of Baltimore, before delivering a speech there. This is Obama’s first visit to a mosque as president, and his speech was full of his usual blather about how great Islam is.

“Islam has always been part of America,” he said, detailing the beginnings of the religion among African slaves brought to America.

Then he very slyly inserted his next comment and boldly lied about the meaning and origins of the word “Islam” when he said this:

“The very word Islam comes from ‘Salam’ – peace,” he said. “The standard greeting is ‘As-Salaam-Alaikum’ – ‘Peace be upon you,’” he explained. “Like so many faiths, Islam is rooted in a commitment to compassion and mercy and justice and charity. “Whoever wants to enter paradise, the prophet Mohammad taught, let him treat people the way he would love to be treated,” he said as the audience applauded. “For Christians like myself, I’m assuming that sounds familiar,” he continued.

The word Islam, which means ‘submission’, is derived from the infinitive Salama. So is the word Salam which means ‘peace’ and so is the verb Salima which means ‘to be saved or to escape from danger’. One of the derivations of the infinitive Salama means ‘the stinging of a snake’ or ‘The tanning of the leather’. Hence, if the word Islam has something to do with the word Salam i.e. ‘Peace’, does that also mean that it must be related to the ‘stinging of the snake’ or ‘tanning the leather’?

Obama Speaks at the Islamic Society of Baltimore:

Do yourself a favor and skip the Muslim lovevest bloviation and just watch from minute 9:00 – 9:30 to hear him lie about what the word “islam” really means.

Muhammad used to send letters to the kings and leaders of the surrounding countries and tribes, inviting them to surrender to his authority and to believe in him as the messenger of Allah. He always ended his letters with the following two words: “Aslim, Taslam!”. Although these two words are derived from the same infinitive Salama which is the root of Salam, i.e. ‘Peace’, neither one of them implies the meaning of ‘peace’.  The sentence means ‘surrender and you will be safe’, or in other words, ‘surrender or face death’. So where is the meaning of ‘Peace’ in such a religion that threatens to kill other people if they don’t submit to it?

The Qur’an not only ordered the killing of those who embraced Islam and afterwards decided to renegade, but also commanded the followers to fight all nations until they either believe in it, pay the Jizya or face death:

“Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his apostle nor acknowledge the religion of truth of the people of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” Surat At-Tauba 9:29

And in the same Sura, verse 5, the Qur’an also states: “Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem …”

The word “Islam” means submission, the act of your submitting to the rule of the moon god Allah via his false prophet Mohammed. Obama, having spent 12 years in Islam school in Indonesia, knows this fact all too well. So why did he lie and say Islam means peace”

Because he was practicing Taqiyya, that’s why.

Allahu Akbar, y’all!

Passionate Preaching – “On today’s show Landon and Nate welcome Dr. Steven J. Lawson to the program to discuss preaching, One Passion Ministries, and his new book on the preaching of Martyn Lloyd-Jones.”

How do we protect ourselves against false teaching? – “One of the things I’ve done terribly over the years is address false teaching. As a new Christian—and worse, a new Christian developing doctrinal convictions—I tended to wield my lofty opinions (some of which were even right) as a mighty hammer with which to smash my perceived foes. So I would do stupid things like blurt out, ‘Why would you read that—don’t you know it’s heretical nonsense?’ And let me tell you, that does not win friends or influence people.”

God’s Nature – The Trinity (part 1) – “The Trinity is one of the most confusing, but yet one of the most central doctrines in all of Christian thought. One of the reasons it can be confusing is because it brings to bear the complete uniqueness of God. As Dr. James White points out repeatedly in his teachings on the Trinity, it is highly dangerous to build an analogy of the Trinity from the world around us because nothing in the created world can compare or illustrate fully the harmony of the Trinity. All analogies eventually wind up making an inaccurate comparison to God and thus are dangerous because they can lead to a misunderstanding of a point of doctrine that is, ultimately, crucial to properly defining God.”

The Character of the Christian: Sound Judgment – “Today we continue our series on the character of the Christian. We are exploring how the various character qualifications of elders are actually God’s calling on all Christians. While elders are meant to exemplify these traits, all Christians are to exhibit them. I want us to consider whether we are displaying these traits and to learn together how we can pray to have them in greater measure. Today we will look at a set of three traits that are closely related to one another.”

The Impact of Calvinism on Culture – “If there’s one thing that Calvinism’s friends and enemies agree about, it’s that Calvinism has had a huge impact upon culture. After narrating how much hostility to Calvinism he had found in various academic locations, Australian theologian Peter Jensen observed, ‘The enemies of Calvinism are right in seeing in Calvinism an extraordinarily powerful ideology, one which they do well to be alarmed about.’”
