THE FOUNDATION

“I consider the government of the United States as interdicted by the Constitution from intermeddling with religious institutions, their doctrines, discipline, or exercises. This results not only from the provision that no law shall be made respecting the establishment or free exercise of religion, but from that also which reserves to the States the powers not delegated to the United States.” —Thomas Jefferson, letter to Samuel Miller, 1808

Lynch Officially Takes Up Holder’s Torch

On Monday, new Attorney General Loretta Lynch was sworn in, formally taking over for the contemptuous Eric Holder. And to say she entered the position amid chaos is an understatement. Gangs throughout Baltimore continued to wreak violence and havoc, injuring police officers and destroying property in protest over the death of Freddie Gray, the circumstances of which are still unknown. In response, one of Lynch’s first acts on the job was to send in the troops. “The Department of Justice will send two officials to Baltimore amid clashes in the city between police and citizens,” The Hill reports. We wish we could say she will be an improvement over her predecessor, but all evidence suggests she will continue the Holder legacy. Joe Biden illuminated this concern at Monday’s swearing-in ceremony when he said, “[Lynch] is a woman who is incredibly qualified, just like Eric Holder, who I’ve known and has been my close friend for years and years and years, over 30 years.” He added, “He might be one of the finest attorney generals [sic] we have had. He has been in this environment of such political hostility. He has stood his ground on principle. He has never yielded. And he has been right.” If he was one of the finest attorneys general in American history, why are sights like Ferguson and Baltimore seemingly becoming the norm? Lynch has a lot of work to do — but at least she’d be hard pressed to make things worse.

Arguments Begin in Contentious Same-Sex Marriage Case

Today is a big day for the Supreme Court as the debate over same-sex “marriage” takes center stage. Two and half hours of oral arguments will be presented to the justices, whose decision on America’s biggest social controversy since Roe v. Wade will have monumental implications. And just like Roe v. Wade, as Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins points out, the government meddling in what should be an issue left to the states isn’t going to end the debate. Forty-two years after that dreadful ruling, America has come no closer to unanimously accepting abortion, and the same fate awaits the gay marriage dispute. Speaking on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Perkins explained, “The courts are decided to interpret the Constitution and the constitutionality of laws, not create public policy.” And as Jennifer Marshall of The Daily Signal reports, some 50 million Americans have voted in support of traditional marriage — only to have the courts silence the majority of them. “Only 11 states have redefined marriage democratically,” writes Marshall. “In the 37 states that currently recognize same-sex marriage, 26 have been forced to do so by courts.” Today, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee and Ohio will defend their bans on same-sex marriage against 16 plaintiffs, and a decision will be announced before the Court adjourns in June. The Tenth Amendment states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” The right ruling rests in those 28 words. Russian Hackers Read Obama’s Emails

Regarding the security breach of the White House’s computer network, it might be easier to ask what the hackers didn’t gain access to. In the early part of April, news broke that a group of hackers — probably with some link to the Russian government — compromised the White House email system and accessed Barack Obama’s full schedule. But the White House has remained mum on how deeply the hackers penetrated. According to The New York Times, the hackers were reading some of Obama’s unclassified email messages, the ones where he drafted upcoming speeches, worked out upcoming policy, complained about Congress, talked about staffing changes and, yes, even described his golf game. The Times says Obama’s account itself was not compromised, nor was the classified email system the White House uses. As Noah Rothman writes at Hot Air, “This administration has a problem with information security, and it’s becoming clear that their carelessness is a threat to American national security.” When Obama declared his administration was the most transparent in history, none of us thought he was talking about the Russians. FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

Baltimore Mishandled Seeds of Unrest

By Lewis Morris

2015-04-28-a5661aa7_large.jpg

The city of Baltimore is reeling after a savage night of rioting downtown that led to the burning of stores, looting and violent confrontations with police officers. The violence erupted in the hours leading up to and following Monday’s funeral of Freddie Gray, who died several days after suffering a spinal cord injury while in police custody. Facts are still hazy about Gray’s arrest and injury and just how an initially peaceful demonstration devolved so quickly into full-scale rioting.

Republican Gov. Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency late yesterday and called out the National Guard to assist overwhelmed city law enforcement. “The National Guard represents the last resort in restoring order,” Hogan told reporters. “I have not made this decision lightly.”

Up to 5,000 soldiers could eventually be deployed. There are already at least 100 Maryland State Police officers already in the city, as well as municipal police from surrounding towns and counties. Close to two-dozen Baltimore police officers have sustained injuries in close-quarter confrontations with rioters who assaulted them with rocks, bottles and other objects.

Schools are closed today in Baltimore, and last night’s Orioles game was postponed, with baseball commissioner Rob Manfred suggesting the matchup between the Orioles and Chicago White Sox could be played elsewhere.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake ordered a week-long 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, calling out the rioters as “thugs who only want to incite violence and destroy our city.”

This is a much more decisive Rawlings-Blake than just two days ago, when she said during a press conference in the early hours of unrest over the weekend that “we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate.”

Rawlings-Blake’s words were quickly clarified by her office in a follow-up statement that said, in part, “There was an effort to give the peaceful demonstrators room to conduct their peaceful protests on Saturday. Unfortunately … that also meant that those seeking to incite violence also had the space to operate.”

In some cases, it is prudent for law enforcement to back off to prevent further confrontation, and it seems the Baltimore Police Department did so at least a few times yesterday. But to come right out and say it, telling rioters and looters what the police will do? That’s absurd!

Whatever Rawlings-Blake meant to say, the opportunity to de-escalate the situation has clearly passed. The scope of the rioting and looting quickly overwhelmed the police, and it is not clear at this point just what their strategy was in the early hours of the mayhem. Sporadic acts of violence over the weekend spread into full-scale chaos Monday afternoon after a number of youths, fresh out of school, joined those already engaged in unlawful activity.

According to a notice by the Baltimore Police Department, there is a credible threat that the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, Crips and other gangs entered into an agreement to attack police and coordinate looting. Furthermore, some of Baltimore’s outlaw elements may want to take the violence outside the city, targeting white police officers. The West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center released a memo warning police officers that they might be the target of gang violence. Remember: The man who killed New York City Police Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos earlier this year was associated with the Black Guerilla Family gang in Baltimore.

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) suggested that the violence was actually perpetrated by out-of-towners. “[A]t the end there were a few people who said, ‘We’re gonna turn this city down [sic], we’re gonna close it down,’ and the next thing you know we had a few people mainly from out of town … start beating up on police cars and throwing all kinds of projectiles.” It may just be that Cummings doesn’t want to admit the fact that Baltimore has a criminal element capable of fomenting such chaos.

Rev. Al Sharpton, never one to miss a race-baiting opportunity, pledged to visit Baltimore to reach out to local church leaders who have been gathering with community leaders to find ways to stop the violence. Unfortunately, if history is any guide, Sharpton’s appearance might distract from that opportunity as he grandstands for the camera and solicits donations for his National Action Network.

And what about the man whose death sparked the rioting? The Baltimore Sun has attempted to piece together a timeline of the arrest of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, looking to discover how he sustained the injuries that led to his death. Like Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, Gray has been made out to be a martyr at the altar of police brutality, but he was no angel. Gray’s rap sheet includes at least 18 arrests for various offenses. Baltimore police have not shed any light on why Gray was arrested earlier this month, stating only that he was carrying a knife, which was actually discovered after he was arrested.

It can be said that Gray was not a model citizen; however, the Baltimore Police Department is not a model law enforcement agency. The local police department has some problems of its own. A lengthy investigation in 2014 by the Baltimore Sun uncovered numerous incidents of police brutality and resultant civil suits that cost the city $5.7 million over three years.

Unlike Baltimore and Ferguson, Missouri, New York City actually handled the outcry after the death of Eric Garner in Staten Island.

As with civil unrest in Ferguson, Oakland, CA, and other cities around the country, a terrible pattern is playing out in Baltimore, and it looks something like this: In an effort to reclaim the city from criminals and gangs, police have on occasion gone beyond their mandate and sometimes been guilty of the very crimes they attempt to stop. The community, which should welcome and feel protected by the police, instead fear and loathe them because of injustices, either real or perceived. The situation can fester for years until an incident, oftentimes the shooting or death of someone in police custody, pops the top off a pressure cooker.

Not all those arrested are victims, and not all cops are criminals. Far from it. Yet, the media, ever in pursuit of a story, will report any angle that feeds the story. Sometimes facts are optional. Race hustlers like Al Sharpton and naïve liberals like Stephanie Rawlings-Blake don’t help the situation. Cooler heads must prevail and examine the root causes of these issues; otherwise Baltimore will be just another name on a sad and growing list of cities tearing themselves apart.

BEST OF RIGHT OPINION

OPINION IN BRIEF

David Limbaugh: “Forget for a moment the ever-failing economy, the implosion of our foreign policy coherence, and our virtually unilateral withdrawal in the war on terror under Barack Obama’s presidency. If liberty lovers don’t start fighting back soon, we’ll forfeit our freedom of thought and religious expression under the assault of fascist leftist activists in our culture. … The real fight on [social] issues in this nation is no longer about the underlying ‘rights’ involved. It concerns the appalling mission of activists to marshal the coercive power of government and of commercial blackmail to compel other people to agree (and publicly say they agree) with their opinions on issues they deem important. Isn’t it ironic that the people who are pushing for these rights always wave banners of tolerance, love, compassion and liberty? More than ironic, it’s outrageous. And fewer and fewer people of principle are standing up to this tyrannical bullying because, understandably, they don’t want to put themselves in the crosshairs of this gestapo. But history tells us the logical conclusion of this story. Some socially liberal Republicans naively believe that this is only about the social issues themselves, but it’s about liberty. God help us.”

SHORT CUTS

Insight: “[T]he Government is merely a servant — merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.” —Mark Twain (1835-1910)

Non Compos Mentis: “We … have to be very careful about the language we use to talk about [the situation in Baltimore]. I’m not calling these people rioters. I’m calling these uprisings and I think it’s an important distinction to make. This is not a riot. … [R]esistance looks different ways to different people and part of what it means to say black lives matter, is to assert our right to have rage — righteous rage, righteous indignation in the face of state violence and extrajudicial killing. … The city is burning because the police killed Freddie Gray and that’s a distinction we have to make.” —Morehouse College professor Marc Lamont Hill (How can anyone argue that turning a city into a war zone isn’t rioting? Moreover, there’s this thing called “due process.” And until the courts rule otherwise, the police are innocent.)

Dezinformatsia: “I don’t remember seeing anything like this in the United States of America in a long time.” —CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on the Baltimore riots (Was Ferguson really that long ago?)

The annals of the absurd: “Looting [is] a real shame. But FAR MORE shameful is [the] pattern of police violence against [the] black community! Perspective, people.” —CNN contributor and Daily Beast columnist Sally Kohn

The BIG Lie: “[Loretta Lynch] is a woman who is incredibly qualified, just like Eric Holder, who I’ve known and has been my close friend for years and years and years, over 30 years. He might be one of the finest attorney generals we have had. He has been in this environment of such political hostility. He has stood his ground on principle. He has never yielded. And he has been right.” —Joe Biden

Late-night humor: “New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has been positioning himself to challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination. Hillary once developed a program to deliver rural healthcare, while de Blasio once dropped a groundhog on its head.” —Jimmy Fallon

Are The Baltimore Riots Being Manipulated?

Baltimore Rioting - YouTube ScreenshotIs it possible that there are people out there that are attempting to inflame the Baltimore riots for their own twisted purposes?  I don’t know if you have noticed, but there has seemed to be lots of unprotected police vehicles parked very close to where all of the protests have been happening.  The police had to know that those vehicles would be prime targets if violence erupted.  So where were the police while those vehicles were being smashed and set on fire?  And why did the mayor of Baltimore say that authorities purposely “gave those who wished to destroy space to do that”?  Yes, Freddie Gray really died.  And yes, the police really did brutalize him resulting in his death, and the outpouring of anger that we are witnessing regarding this episode of police brutality is very real.  But as Rahm Emanuel used to say, “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste”.  In recent days we have seen a whole host of politicians, “civil rights leaders”, and opportunists flock to Baltimore like bears to a honeypot.  We have also seen events unfold in a way that seems almost perfectly staged for television.  Yes, the anger of the rioters in Baltimore is very real, but is that anger being manipulated and used for other purposes? (Read More…)

UN Official Admits That Climate Change Used As A Ruse To Control The World’s Economy

Finally, a UN official comes out with the truth about so-called “Climate Change.” Many of us have known for years that this global warming mantra is a means to an end for the progressives, and now it’s in print.

“Climate Change is an excuse to end the economic development model of the industrial revolution.”

I cannot overemphasize the importance of this link. If you want to understand why the press for “Climate Change” regulations is so strong–despite the fact an increasing number of reports are coming out demonstrating the total falsity and manipulation of the evidence for global warming, let alone a causal link to man—here is your answer.

However the official, Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of UNFCCC, warns that the fight against climate change is a process and that the necessary transformation of the world economy will not be decided at one conference or in one agreement.

Leftist/Socialist/Communist/Progressive tyrants see the lie of Climate Change as their way to transform the world economy into their own corrupt image. As with all such plans, it would ensure a small upper-crust of well-paid hacks, attending fancy meetings, and luxuriating at our expense, while the vast majority of the world suffers in increasing squalor and lack, with no hope of rising above it. If you think it’s bad now (and in many places it’s incredibly sad) just wait till this nonsense prevails, and the wealth of the world shrinks into oblivion.

“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history“, Ms Figueres stated at a press conference in Brussels:

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution. That will not happen overnight and it will not happen at a single conference on climate change, be it COP 15, 21, 40 – you choose the number. It just does not occur like that. It is a process, because of the depth of the transformation.”

Climate Change is a Gruberistic manufactured lie, designed toward a diabolical end. Many well-meaning people have been sucked into the propaganda vortex, and sincerely believe the world is in danger if we don’t address this “crisis.” Don’t buy it. True science demonstrates the world is NOT warming as the models have predicted, and man’s activities are NOT contributing to some future crisis as the seas rise and ice caps melt, etc., etc., etc.

Yes, we need to take better care of the planet, but CO2 (as one example) is not a problem–in fact, it helps the world be more lush and fruitful. Please… please… if you’re concerned about Climate Change, you need to do more research. Don’t be a useful idiot.

P.S. Please note this link is not to some wild-eye “conspiracy” site… but to the United Nations itself. They are so convinced of their rightness and their power now that they’re not even hiding anymore. [1] – source

“Their inquiry’s central aim will be to establish a comprehensive view of just how far the original data has been “adjusted” by the three main surface records: those published by the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (Giss), the US National Climate Data Center and Hadcrut, that compiled by the East Anglia Climatic Research Unit (Cru), in conjunction with the UK Met Office’s Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction. All of them are run by committed believers in man-made global warming.” [2] – source

OVER 30,000 SCIENTISTS SIGN PETITION CLAIMING GLOBAL WARMING IS A HOAX:

Purpose of Petition: The purpose of the Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of “settled science” and an overwhelming “consensus” in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climatological damage is wrong. No such consensus or settled science exists. As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject this hypothesis.

Publicists at the United Nations, Mr. Al Gore, and their supporters frequently claim that only a few “skeptics” remain – skeptics who are still unconvinced about the existence of a catastrophic human-caused global warming emergency.

It is evident that 31,487 Americans with university degrees in science – including 9,029 PhDs, are not “a few.” Moreover, from the clear and strong petition statement that they have signed, it is evident that these 31,487 American scientists are not “skeptics.”

These scientists are instead convinced that the human-caused global warming hypothesis is without scientific validity and that government action on the basis of this hypothesis would unnecessarily and counterproductively damage both human prosperity and the natural environment of the Earth.

Signer by name and by name and by state and their qualifications are on the website.  [3] – source

The Petition Project features over 31,000 scientists signing the petition stating “there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide will, in the forseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere“. (OISM)

There are several claims that large numbers of scientists do not agree with the theory ofclimate change, the best known of which is a petition organised by the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (the OISM petition). This petition now appears to be signed by over 32,000 people with a BSc or higher qualification. The signatories agree with these statements:

  • The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
  • There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’sclimate.

No evidence has ever been offered to support the first statement, and the second statement is in flat contradiction with the scientists who study climate change. There are also valid issues regarding the methodology:

  • The organisers have never revealed how many people they canvassed (so the response rate is unknown) nor have they revealed the sampling methodology, an ironic omission considering how much fuss is made about scientists being candid and making public their methods and data.
  • The petition is, in terms of climate change science, rather out of date.

In the professional field of climate science, the consensus is unequivocal: human activities are causing climate change and additional anthropogenic CO2 may cause great disruption to the climate. [4] – source

Christian Bakery Owners Fined $135,000 For Refusing To Make A Lesbian Wedding Cake

An Oregon judge has awarded Lesbian couple Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer $135,000 for “emotional damages” in a lawsuit against Aaron and Melissa Klein of Sweet Cakes Bakery. They are a Christian couple who declined to provide a wedding cake to the same-sex couple in 2013.

“but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Luke 22:53 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Under the administration of Barack Obama, the persecution of Christians in America who stand for Biblical truths is rapidly spiraling out of control. This latest case is so egregious that it is startling to me that tens of thousands of patriots are not marching on Washington in protest. And because they are not, Christian persecution will only get worse as the darkness spreads. in 2015, if you are not a supporter of the LGBT, you will pay the price.

In their lawsuit, the two women claimed they felt “mentally raped,” as part of a list of 88 symptoms of emotional distress they experienced at being refused a cake.

The long list of symptoms included “acute loss of confidence,” “doubt,” “excessive sleep,” “felt mentally raped, dirty and shameful,” “high blood pressure,” “impaired digestion,” “loss of appetite,” “migraine headaches,” “pale and sick at home after work,” “resumption of smoking habit,” “shock,” “stunned,” “surprise,” “uncertainty,” “weight gain” and “worry.” The judge apparently found it unremarkable that “loss of appetite” and “impaired digestion” should lead to “weight gain.”

sweet-cakes-bakery-bankrupt-for-refusing-to-make-lesbian-wedding-cake

“The forum concludes that $75,000 and $60,000, are appropriate awards to compensate for the emotional suffering they experienced,” wrote Alan McCullough, administrative law judge for Oregon’s Bureau of Labor and Industries, in his proposed order.

The award will reportedly bankrupt the seven-member Klein family and force Sweet Cakes by Melissa Bakery to shut down. The Kleins’ lawyer, Anna Harmon, said that the damages awarded were not limited to the sale of business assets, but would be taken out of theirpersonal funds.

“The important thing to realize is this,” Harmon said, “This is real money that Aaron and Melissa are going to have to pay that otherwise would be used to pay their mortgage and feed their kids.”

In January of 2013, Laurel Bowman said the bakery would not sell her and her fiancée, Rachel Cryer, a wedding cake. She added that Aaron Klein, co-owner of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, told her that providing them with a wedding cake would be against their religious principles.

This past February, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) announced that the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa bakery must pay the lesbian couple damages for refusing to sell them a wedding cake. BOLI spokesman Charlie Burr said there was sufficient evidence that the bakers discriminated against the same-sex couple. source

Outrage As Baltimore Mayor Admits Race Rioting Looters Had Her Permission “To Destroy”

Has the entire country gone absolutely crazy?

Obama and his minions will not rest until there is full-fledged civil war in every city and town and America. Just mere weeks after the end of the George Soros-funded race riots in Saint Louis, we now have the race riots in Baltimore. And this time, the liberal mayor of Baltimore is on tape as admitting she a). told the police to stand down, and b). allowed the race rioters all the “space they needed to destroy” anything they cared to.

Even to the casual observer, at this point it should be obvious that these race riots are preplanned and highly-funded by the Obama war machine, and will continue to popup in every major American city.

This is the “change” this country twice-voted to have in place of a democratic Republic. How’s that working out for you, America? Ashamed of your president yet?

You should be.

As Baltimore Burns, Maryland Residents Anger Rises At City Being Hijacked By Race Baiters

Tonight I am very angry. I’m not sure if this is a righteous anger. If it is not, I will certainly go before the Lord and ask His forgiveness. Why am I angry, you ask? I will tell you…..

EDITOR’S NOTE: These race wars that are now popping up in cities across America have nothing to do with police brutality. No, what we are seeing are the seeds of a new Civil War, planted by Obama’s masters and funded by George Soros. Obama and his minions need Americans to be angry with each other, angry enough to burn, loot, destroy and even kill. This is the “change” Obama promised to give you morons way back in 2008. He is keeping that promise. How do you like it so far?

I went with my husband early today to Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, to see an ENT who specializes in Oncology. He scoped my husband’s neck and showed us on a screen a mass, which the doctor said looked like cancer. He said it could be stage 4, because my husband’s lymph nodes are extremely enlarged. The doctor scheduled the biopsy for tomorrow.

I’m angry because we probably will not be able to go to Hopkins tomorrow because of the rioting and violence. It is imperative that my my husband have surgery ASAP and he cannot until the biopsy is done.

baltimore-set-on-fire-race-riots-april-2015

Tonight I watched criminals looting stores and burning police cars. I watched on TV as a beautiful home for seniors which was in the process of being constructed, burn to the ground.

I am angry because I watched criminals throwing bricks and other objects at police officers.

I am angry because the mayor of Baltimore, in the midst of the rioting, said that there would be a curfew TOMORROW night at 10:00. Why not tonight?? Why wait until tomorrow night?

RT reporter beaten and robbed by black mob in Baltimore:

I am angry because Al Sharpton is on his way into town. How is he any different than lawyers who chase ambulances to the scene of horrific accidents? He’s worse. He makes his living, pouring fuel on the fire, as he stokes the flames of perceived racism.

I am angry because the people who looted the CVS did not care one bit about the black man who died. I guarantee that if any of those criminals, with arms filled with stolen goods, would be asked the name of the deceased black man — they would not have had a clue.

I am angry because the race card is played whenever a black man is killed during pursuit by police officers. Baltimore has a black mayor, it is run by mostly black individuals on the City Council, and yet they yell “Racism Racism” GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!

I am angry because I watched a reporter interviewing a man who said he was from the Baltimore City Council. He talked to the reporter about the riots, and said that the anger and rioting went much further that the death of Freddy Gray. He said that black are angry at the poverty and lack of jobs. As soon as the reporter attempted to talk about the looters, the Councilman turned his back and had nothing more to say.

I’m angry because Freddy Gray had a LONG rap sheet:

March 20, 2015: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

March 13, 2015: Malicious destruction of property, second-degree assault

January 20, 2015: Fourth-degree burglary, trespassing

January 25, 2014: Possession of marijuana

September 28, 2013: Distribution of narcotics, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, second-degree assault, second-degree escape

April 13, 2012: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, violation of probation

August 29, 2007: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, violation of probation

August 28, 2007: Possession of marijuana

August 23, 2007: False statement to a peace officer, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance

July 16, 2007: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance (2 counts)

Maybe the Jewish students on campuses of universities across the nation should riot because of the anti Semitism which is so widespread, mostly because of the Muslim student body.

Or maybe my people should go to Germany and start riots there for the 6 million Jews who were slaughtered there over 70 years ago. Of course, I’m being facetious. The Jewish people do not handle themselves in such a manner.

So, I am one angry lady, because I cannot go into Baltimore with my husband, whom I love, to get a biopsy which the doctor said is critically important, because we might get caught in the cross fire of these insane riots.

God help us. God help Baltimore. God help the USA.

JESUS PLEASE COME AND GET YOUR BRIDE!!!!

Baltimore Race Riots Are Intentional Distraction From Supreme Court Same-Sex Marriage Hearings

The Supreme Court struggled Tuesday with whether they should force states to recognize same-sex marriages, with justices whose views could determine the outcome of that challenge suggesting they were reluctant to upend such a long-established institution.

Do you think that even for a moment, in your wildest dreams, that the current race riots in Baltimore “just happened” out of the blue? Do you want to know why they are happening right now? Because today, the US Supreme Court begins hearings on deciding if same-sex marriage will become legal in all 50 states. You didn’t know that, did you? Of course not. The media is trumpeting nothing but race riots and burning buildings, with the sole purpose of keeping your attention away from the real issue being decided right now in Washington.

Washington, DC – “The word that keeps coming back to me is ‘millennia,’” Justice Anthony Kennedy, who often casts the deciding vote in an ideologically divided court, said in the first moments of oral arguments in a landmark challenge to state laws prohibiting same-sex marriages. “This definition has been with us for millennia. It’s very difficult for the court to say, oh well, we know better.”

The justices’ eventual ruling on the case — actually six cases consolidated from Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee and Kentucky — will determine whether same-sex marriage becomes legal nationwide, or whether states retain the authority to ban it. A decision is expected by late June.

Obama’s Apocalyptic Betrayals Are Producing a ‘Dangerous’ World

President Obama’s far-reaching efforts to facilitate Iran’s march to nukes amount to nothing less than apocalyptic betrayals of U.S. voters and allies – betrayals that will make the world exponentially more dangerous.

Obama has ignored the countless reasons to doubt that the ayatollahs will make and keep a nuclear accord that prevents them from acquiring nuclear weapons. Here are just some of those reasons:

‘Instead of laughing and mocking, president should be weeping’

Obama took her to task in a half-joking, mocking tone.

“Michele Bachmann actually predicted I would bring about the biblical end of days,” Obama told the correspondents, who erupted in roaring laughter. “Now that’s a legacy. That’s big. I mean Lincoln, Washington, they didn’t do that.”

Bachmann had made her comments about Obama in a recent interview with Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries on her show, “Understanding the Times.”

It’s the End of the World, Now What?

What is increasingly perplexing to me, considering all that is transpiring around the world, is the outright rejection and denial by those who claim to be Christian. Now, I expect this from mainstream media, government, and pop culture, but how a denomination (take your pick), rejects 30% of their Bible, only to focus on everything BUT Christ’s soon return, baffles my mind. Consider these events that are rapidly advancing in our day:

Hillary Clinton is testing the waters. It is one thing to take anti-biblical positions, but to publicly call Americans to forsake the Bible is too much. Giving an address at the Women in the World Summit last week, she made this statement:

The McAvany Intel Memo

What has gone wrong in America? America is plunging toward a socialist police state (à la the old Soviet Union or Nazi Germany), and the American people remain silent. The powers-that-be in Washington, the Fed, and Wall Street blatantly and openly manipulate all financial markets, and the American people remain silent. The US is in the most serious recession since the 1930s, with the government openly lying about and falsifying all economic statistics, and the American people remain silent.… The machinery for a total police/surveillance state in America, replete with total monitoring of all communications, the military arming of local police, martial law preparations, and military exercises across America are all being openly implemented, and the American people remain silent.

Official reports of long-time US government/CIA horrendous torturing of US citizens and foreigners held without trial or legal counsel at various secret locations around the world have recently come out (and are understood worldwide), and the American people remain silent…. American intelligence agencies (think CIA) – start, fund, arm, and train the incredibly evil ISIS terrorists, not to mention al Qaeda-and then recently conduct a phony bombing war against them, and the American people remain silent. America overthrows moderate/secular Muslim governments across the Middle East in the Obama-orchestrated “Arab Spring,” and intentionally installs radical fundamentalist Muslim governments in Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia, and is currently working overtime to do the same in Syria, and the American people remain silent. Iran opens fire at and detains US cargo ship in Gulf

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 08:08 AM PDT

BREAKING NEWS – Saudi owned Al Arabiya television said an Iranian “force” seized a US cargo ship in the Gulf on Tuesday and directed it to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas. The channel said the force had “opened fire” on the US ship, which had 34 US sailors aboard. It gave no further details. The US Fifth Fleet in the Gulf Arab kingdom of Bahrain had no immediate comment on the report. The incident comes amid tensions between the US and Iran over the presence of Iranian ships in the Persian gulf that the US feared were bringing arms to Iranian-backed Houthi Shi’ite rebels in Yemen.

However tensions seemed to have been deflated over the weekend when the Iranians turned their ships around. On Friday, US Defense Secretary Ash Carter told a small group of journalists traveling with him after a trip to California: “The (Iranian) ships have turned around … Obviously what their onward plans are, we don’t know. “It is a welcome event because it does contribute to de-escalation and that’s what we’re trying to suggest to all the parties there, is the best course, and those parties include the Iranians,” Carter said. Army Colonel Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman, said earlier the flotilla was in international waters about midway along the coast of Oman on Friday and still headed northeast. Facebook secretly records what you type even when you decide not to post it

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 08:01 AM PDT

If you’re one of the more than 1.3 billion people who use Facebook on a regular basis, you’ve probably experienced occasions when you decided against posting something before you hit “Enter” and assumed that whatever it was that you had typed would be permanently deleted. This is not actually the case, according to Ireland-based tech consultant Priomh O hUiginn, who says that despite Facebook’s claims to the contrary, every comment or status update an individual types is sent to their servers whether one deletes it before posting or not.

“I was inspecting Facebook’s network traffic today in Firefox Devtools,” O hUiginn wrote on his blog, “when I realized that any text I put into the status update box was sent to Facebook’s servers, even if I did not click the post button.” Although Facebook asserts that it does not store this information, O hUiginn is rightly concerned that the social media giant collects the “self-censored” data in the first place. He observed: This is outright Orwellian, and inconvenient. Since I am now aware of this, I am more cautious about what I enter into the text area, however I can’t help but notice the adverse effect of my new found awareness – am I experiencing the censorship of my own thoughts because of a faceless entity such as Facebook that doesn’t care about you? I very much believe that is the case. A recent study regarding self-censorship on Facebook found that 71 percent of the network’s regular users have deleted text before posting it. Facebook’s excuse for collecting these self-censored texts is that it is searching them for the names of other members – a bit like the way that Google and other apps employ an auto-suggest feature. Media reports on warm ‘blob’ in Pacific Ocean pretend it can’t be related to huge plume of radioactive waste

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 07:57 AM PDT

Media outlets are widely reporting on two recent studies in the journal Geophysical Research Letters describing a giant “blob” of warm water that may be responsible for recent ecological and weather anomalies across the United States — from California’s drought to the East Coast’s severe winter to the thousands of dying sea lions washing up along the West Coast.

The “blob” — more precisely, the “warm anomaly” — is a patch of ocean water just off the coast of the Pacific Northwest that is about 1,000 miles across, 300 feet deep, and 3 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than usual. It received its nickname from Nick Bond of Washington State University, lead author of one of the new studies. Do the new studies actually explain what the media are claiming? Are there potential explanations that are being ignored? Already, researchers have linked the blob to many of this past year’s alarming ecological occurrences. Warmer water is less rich in nutrients, which scientists say has caused effects including a crash in the population of copepods (tiny animals that form the base of the ocean’s food web) and the starvation of sea lion pups, causing thousands of the animals to strand themselves onshore. The warm water has also caused tropical fish to appear near Seattle. The new study by Bond and colleagues also links the blob to the recent weather disturbances. The researchers claim that the blob actually has an atmospheric cause: an unseasonal ridge of high-pressure air hovering above it. This high-pressure air (instead of the low-pressure air typical for the winter) has been associated with the ocean becoming unseasonably calm and warm, removing a major source of rain for the West Coast and contributing to California’s drought and the West Coast’s warmer-than-usual winter, according to the researchers. Baltimore streets fill with National Guard troops

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 07:44 AM PDT

National Guard troops filled the streets of Baltimore in the early morning Tuesday hours, bringing a semblance of calm to a city that was overrun with protesters who had set their sights on police, injuring 15 so far in the melees. Tuesday’s scene was of spotted looting, with police quickly calming any escalations in violence. Fox News reported authorities were also making arrests with greater speed than the previous evening, when some told members of the media their hands were tied by the city’s mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, and an order from her office to stand down on the apprehensions for unclear reasons.

Roughly 200 were taken into police custody in recent hours, though their specific charges aren’t yet known. The police who were injured in overnight protests – some by hurled rocks and bottles – were expected to fully recover, though at least one was unresponsive, deemed in critical condition. “We went to bed last night and the entire city smelled like smoke,” said Peter Doocy, from Fox News on Tuesday morning. “We woke up this morning and it’s pretty much the same thing.” MORE

Strong Magnitude 5.8 Earthquake Strikes Southeast Ecuador

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 07:31 AM PDT

A strong earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale has hit southeast Ecuador causing chaos, though there were no immediate reports of injuries or property damage. Ecuador’s Geophysical Institute said the earthquake occurred at 6:20 a.m. local time (1120 GMT) in Guayaquil, Guayas Province, at a depth of 71 kilometers (44 miles).

Ecuador’s jolt follows just three days after a devastating 7.8-magnitude quake hit Nepal, where more than 5,000 people have so far been reported dead. The quake in the Asian country has also caused heavy material damage in the capital, Kathmandu, and its rural areas. Earthquakes measuring over 5.5-magnitude are quite frequent and often cause damage to buildings and other structures. Temblors measuring from 7.0 to 7.9 on the Richter scale are considered major earthquakes, causing serious damage. They are not very frequent. Quakes of an 8.0-Richter magnitude can totally destroy communities near the epicenter and occur once every 5 to 10 years. Press TV

Finland fires warning shots at ‘foreign submarine’ near Helsinki

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 07:23 AM PDT

BREAKING NEWS – Finland has fired warning shots at a suspected foreign submarine off the coast of Helsinki in the early hours of Tuesday morning, amid growing military tensions with neighbouring Russia. Carl Haglund, Finland’s defence minister, did not say whether Russia was involved, but the incident was reminiscent of a Swedish hunt for a foreign submarine in its waters last October that many thought to be Russian. Mr Haglund told Finnish media that the target has likely left the area, adding that Finland has rarely used such warning charges. “We strongly suspect that there has been underwater activity that does not belong there. Of course it is always serious if our territorial waters have been violated,” Mr Haglund told Finnish news agency STT. “The bombs are not intended to damage the target, the purpose is to let the target know that it has been noticed,” Commodore Olavi Jantunen told Helsingin Sanomat newspaper.

The navy said it noticed an underwater target on Monday and again on Tuesday morning and dropped depth charges the size of grenades. “During surveillance of [Finland’s] territorial integrity, the navy detected a possible underwater object at midday (0900 GMT) on April 27, 2015, within Finland’s territorial waters close to the border outside Helsinki,” the defence ministry said in a statement. A second sighting was made during the night and “a warning was given with light depth charges at three in the morning,” the ministry added. No further sightings were reported after the warning shots and no details have been given of the type of vessel that was detected. The incident comes during an spike in Russian military activity in the Baltic which has prompted non-aligned Finland to announce closer military cooperation with its Nordic neighbours – including Nato members Norway and Denmark. Hillary Clinton Wants Christians to Give Up on Bible Beliefs

Hillary Clinton claims to be Christian. Barack Obama claims to be a Christian. And I am claiming to a brain surgeon! Any takers? You see just saying, “I am brain surgeon,” doesn’t mean I can perform brain surgery. I would need to back it up with a diploma and years of training. In the same way, no American will get elected president claiming, “The Bible is outdated, it’s just a bunch of stories. I am humanistic socialist at heart!” Sure the left will have no problem with that, but you can’t win without independents. So the candidates claim to be Christian—despite having very unchristian positions.

However in a day where anti-biblical behavior is celebrated, where Bruce Jenner is called a hero (not for winning the decathlon, but for identifying as a woman), it is only a matter of time before politicians began to boldly speak against the Bible. Hillary Clinton is testing the waters. It is one thing to take anti-biblical positions, but to publicly call Americans to forsake the Bible is too much. Giving an address at the Women in the World Summit last week, she made this statement: Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth, and laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice—not just on paper. Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed. MORE

Paypal: Embeddable, Injectable And Ingestible Devices Are The Future For Commerce

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 07:06 AM PDT

The payments firm says people will start inserting security devices into their body to enable their unique bodily characteristics to let them into their PayPal accounts, which are commonly targeted by hackers and phishers. Jonathan LeBlanc, global head of developer advocacy at PayPal, said: “As long as passwords remain the standard methods for identifying your users on the web, people will still continue to use ‘letmein’ or ‘password123’ for their secure login, and will continue to be shocked when their accounts become compromised.” PayPal says that more secure biometric systems built around fingerprints and iris scans are set to become outdated, even before most institutions – including PayPal – adopt them. LeBlanc works with engineers and developers to find and test new technologies.

He says embeddable, injectable and ingestible devices are the future for mobile payments and sensitive online interactions. LeBlanc is currently giving a presentation called Kill all Passwords at various technology conferences around the US and Europe, and says technology is moving towards “true integration with the human body”. He says external body methods like fingerprints are “antiquated,” and that internal body functions like heartbeat and vein recognition using embedded and ingestible devices are the future, to allow “natural body identification.” LeBlanc says internal devices could include brain implants, and that ingestible devices could be powered by stomach acid that runs batteries. Nepal’s PM says quake death toll could reach 10,000

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 06:54 AM PDT

The death toll in Nepal’s earthquake could reach 10,000, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said, as survivors’ despair turned to anger at the government’s slow response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the country, with food, water and other essentials in desperately short supply. “The government is doing all it can for rescue and relief on a war footing,” Koirala said in an interview with Reuters. “It is a challenge and a very difficult hour for Nepal.” The death toll in Nepal alone rose to 5,057 on Tuesday, according to the country’s Emergency Operation Centre, which said more than 10,000 people have been injured. There are warnings the full extent of the tragedy will not be known until rescue teams have reached “flattened” villages in remote regions.“The death toll could go up to 10,000 because information from remote villages hit by the earthquake is yet to come in,” Koirala said.

In neighbouring India 61 people were killed and China’s official Xinhua News Agency said 25 people had died in Tibet. Eighteen others were killed in avalanches on Mount Everest.Another avalanche hit a village in the district of Rasuwa, north of Kathmandu, on Tuesday, leaving up to 250 people missing. Ghodatabela, about a 12-hour walk from the nearest town, is along a popular trekking route, but it was not clear if the missing included trekkers. Health workers said they feared a major health crisis was unfolding among survivors of the quake who are living in the open or in overcrowded tents with no access to sanitation or clean water. On Tuesday helicopters crisscrossed the skies above Gorkha, close to the epicentre of Saturday’s magnitude 7.8 quake, ferrying the injured to clinics and taking emergency supplies back to remote villages. Aid workers who had reached the region described entire villages reduced to rubble. “In some villages, about 90% of the houses have collapsed. They’re just flattened,” said Rebecca McAteer, an American physician. Udav Prashad Timalsina, the top official for Gorkha, warned that people were not getting food and shelter. MORE

Matt Drudge Warns America Could Fall

Posted: 28 Apr 2015 06:27 AM PDT

Matt Drudge warned that America could fall in the aftermath of riots that tore through Baltimore yesterday as thousands of National Guard troops were called up to deal with potential further unrest. “America, and everyone in it, must take a collective deep breath. The country could fall,” Drudge tweeted. Following widespread looting and arson attacks yesterday afternoon, the riots continued into the night, with many accusing Baltimore authorities of failing to respond quickly enough to the crisis.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake waited for around 5 hours to even make a statement as businesses burned and gangs of violent mobs ran riot, prompting Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan to imply that the Mayor had waited too long to call out the National Guard, telling a reporter he was “glad that she finally did” make the decision. During the press conference attended by Rawlings-Blake and other officials, hostility appeared to be targeted more at the media than the rioters, with accusations flying that the press refused to focus on “peaceful” demonstrators. Guess What Happened The Last Time Bond Yields Crashed Like This?

If a major financial crisis was approaching, we would expect to see the “smart money” getting out of stocks and pouring into government bonds that are traditionally considered to be “safe” during a crisis. This is called a “flight to safety” or a “flight to quality“. In the past, when there has been a “flight to quality” we have seen yields for German government bonds and U.S. government bonds go way down. As you will see below, this is exactly what we witnessed during the financial crisis of 2008. …………. Click here for full story

Israel Faces Off Against Syrian-Hizballah Alliance

On the face of it, Israel’s purported third air strike over Syrian territory in five days, this time targeting the Wadi a-Sheikh and Al Abasiya regions of the Qalamoun mountains, was in retaliation for the thwarted Hizballah attack on the Golan. However, DEBKAfile’s military sources give the exchange of blows a different slant: It is more likely to be the onset of a systematic Israeli campaign to wipe out Syrian-Hizballah military bases repositioned on the mountain range as depots and launching-pads for firing long-range missiles into Israel from Syrian territory. ……….. Court Upholds Right of Christian Company Not to Print T-Shirts With ‘Gay Pride’ Messages

by Marsha West

Christian News Network reports:

In the first decision of its kind upholding the rights of a Christian business, an appeals court has ruled that a Christian t-shirt company did not violate the law when it declined to print t-shirts for a local “gay pride” event.

As previously reported, the Gay and Lesbian Services Organization of Lexington (GLSO) had wanted the company Hand On Originals–a company that identifies as “Christian outfitters” on the home page of its website–to print t-shirts for the 2012 Lexington Gay Pride Festival. When manager Blaine Adamson declined the order due to the company’s biblical convictions, GLSO filed a complaint with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Human Rights Commission.

Albert Mohler Blog: “In Defense of Marriage, the Rule of Law, and Ordered Liberty”

With the Supreme Court hearing oral arguments on same-sex marriage today, Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr. reflects on the significance of Judge Sutton’s defense of traditional marriage in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in late 2014. Mohler writes:

“The ruling by the panel of the Sixth Circuit set the stage for the arrival of the issue once again at the United States Supreme Court As Judge Sutton indicated in the opening section to his opinion, he fully expected the Supreme Court to rule in favor of same-sex marriage. In his opinion, he made clear that this would be a mistake and a violation of the Court’s own logic. More importantly, Judge Sutton made clear that he believes that any straightforward reading of the Constitution in terms of its original meaning would allow the states to regulate marriage and to protect natural marriage as the central organizing principle of human society.”

The Rebirth of Martin Luther

“As to Romans, the source from which we thank Luther for his cry of “Sola Fide!” in the face of works-salvation, his long-held view of a wrath-ready God who judged the always impure by His perfect righteousness transformed when he saw justice met in Christ who gave His righteousness to him. Romans 1:17 caught Luther’s eye: “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, The righteous shall live by faith.”

His point is that all prayer ought to be with a view to God as its audience, not as man.”

Why Religious Conservatives Want The Supreme Court To Consider Other Nations In Its Same-Sex Marriage Ruling

Despite the dominant media narrative in the United States, there is no international trend toward same-sex marriage. Of the 193 nations that belong to the United Nations, only 17 have changed the definition of marriage or allowed for unions that disregard male-female complementarity as no longer essential to the meaning of marriage. Out of those 17 nations, only one did so by judicial decree: Brazil. In all other cases, the legalization of same-sex marriage took place through the legislative process.

Gay Marriage, Part Two – Church & Culture Blog

*Editor’s Note: As the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments on same-sex marriage this week, the Church & Culture Team felt it timely to take a recent address by Dr. White on the matter and turn it into a four-blog series that will be issued Monday-Thursday of this week. This is part two of that series. To read earlier installments, click here.

***************

To address the issue of homosexuality biblically, we have to begin with God’s original design for human sexuality and relationship. This design is found in the book of Genesis, which tells the story of the very creation of humanity:

The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him’…the Lord God made a woman…and brought her to the man…For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.” (Genesis 2:18, 22, 24-25, NIV)

There are four foundational truths to be learned from that passage.

Gay marriage will cause a winnowing of the evangelical ranks. It already is.

by Denny Burk

Most readers already know how historic today is in our national life. The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments concerning gay marriage. The Justices will render a decision on the matter by the end of June. Given the high court’s precedents in the 2003 Lawrence decision and in the 2013 Windsor decision, most observers agree that the current case is a forgone conclusion. The Supreme Court is poised to declare gay marriage a constitutional right.

Seven Essential Lessons from an Evangelical Scholar in the Secular Academy

by Michael Kruger

There are countless stories of evangelicals who head off to Ph.D. programs in hopes of becoming a professor and having a positive influence in the secular university environment. This is particularly the case in the fields of biblical studies or philosophical theology. And such aspirations are certainly commendable.

Unfortunately, the outcome of such endeavors is not always as expected. While these evangelicals intend to influence the academy, very often the academy ends up influencing them. As a result, many evangelicals end up abandoning the very commitments that led them towards advanced study in the first place.

But even though academic study has led some evangelicals to abandon their commitments, occasionally the opposite happens. Sometimes secular scholars abandon their commitment to liberal thinking and actually become evangelicals. And when this happens, their eyes are opened up to a number of truths that they had never noticed before (or at least refused to notice).

Such is the story of Thomas Oden. Oden received his Ph.D from Yale under Richard Niebuhr and was enamored with the theology of Marx, Nietzsche, Freud, and Bultmann. He interacted with some of the greatest minds of his generation such as Gadamer, Pannenberg, and Karl Barth. He was a classic liberal scholar.

But, then Oden had a change of heart. He tells the story in his book, A Change of Heart: A Personal and Theological Memoir (IVP, 2014). One day a Jewish friend looked him in the eye and reminded him of something very few would dare to say: that he would stand under divine judgment on the last day.

Then his friend said, “If you are ever going to become a credible theologian instead of a know-it-all pundit, you had best restart your life on firmer ground” (137).

Ouch.

The words struck a nerve and Oden began a journey that eventually resulted in a 180 degree turn away from liberalism and towards historic, traditional Christianity. Oden’s story provides a rare glimpse into the world of modern liberal scholarship from the perspective of someone who used to believe all the standard critical views but then changed his mind. Thus, there are a number of lessons we can learn from his journey…

The Daily Discovery (April 28, 2015)

Bruce Jenner Is Not A Woman. He Is A Sick And Delusional Man – “On Friday night, a mentally ill crossdresser named Bruce Jenner was interviewed for two hours during prime time about his plan to gruesomely mutilate his genitals in a macabre pseduo-medical ritual often erronsously described as a ‘sex change.’ He detailed his decision to Diane Sawyer, calmly declaring: ‘For all intents and purposes, I am a woman.’”

Idaho city’s ordinance tells pastors to marry gays or go to jail – “Coeur d‘Alene, Idaho, city officials have laid down the law to Christian pastors within their community, telling them bluntly via an ordinance that if they refuse to marry homosexuals, they will face jail time and fines.”

Andy Stanley Removes Shame from Homosexual Sin – “Imagine a pastor saying something similar about thieves, ‘Our church should be the safest place to talk about anything, including stealing. No more thieves are going to feel like they have to leave our church because they’re shoplifters or because they’re robbers. That ends with us.’”

The Master of the World! – “In these days of man-centered religion, verses like these have been ignored. The pulpits of our land preach a defeated God, a disappointed Christ and a defenseless Holy Spirit. Man has been deified, and God dethroned. Most preachers today hold to the theory that man is a free agent and the determiner of his own destiny. God has been relegated to the background.”

Lloyd-Jones Against Shepherd: Complete Statement – “I am in entire agreement with the view of Phillip E. Hughes, Stanford Reid and Palmer Robertson. Shepherd is wrong about modern evangelistic preaching. Its trouble is not that it preaches justification by faith only, but that it does not preach the glory and the majesty of God, the law, the depths of sin and man’s complete helplessness and hopelessness. It caters psychologically for man’s cry for a friend, or help, or comfort.”

Hillary Clinton: let’s use government to force Christians to stop being pro-life

WINTERY KNIGHT

My friend Mary from Marin tweeted this story from Life News.

It says:

In a speech last week, Hillary Clinton lamented that too many women are supposedly denied abortions. The Democratic presidential candidate came under fire for that pro-abortion comment, but she also is drawing widespread condemnation for another remark in the speech.

The comment has Hillary Clinton essentially saying that Christians must be forced to change their religious views to accommodate abortions.

“Far too many women are still denied critical access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth. All the laws we’ve passed don’t count for much if they’re not enforced,” Clinton said, using the euphemism for abortion.

“Rights have to exist in practice — not just on paper,” Clinton argued. “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed,:

Bruce Jenner isn’t a ‘Hero’ or a ‘Trailblazer’

Zwinglius Redivivus

Bruce Jenner is a marketer.  He has a new book coming out about his ‘transition’ and he has, with the aid of ABC (a Disney Company), managed to get a lot of people to think him some sort of role model.  But exactly how is he that?

Is he the first transgendered person?  Nope.  Is he the first to take hormones?  Nope.  Is he the first to experience what he calls ‘confusion’ concerning his sexuality?  Nope.

It’s funny how a book deal can make the entertainment industry (ABC/ Disney) nearly wee itself in gleeful joy as it envisions the millions of dollars it can earn.  It would be very, very interesting to see if there’s any connection between the book’s publisher and the Disney corporation.  Because what says pimping a book on tv before it’s even in print quite like Disney?
